Auto news on Youtube Nov 17 2018

Finally in order to introduce my closet

I have turned on my camera

truthfully

I really wanted to do this before, The clothes I wear by the week

I usually really like comfortable clothes

so I don't really have alot of girly clothes

even if I do I don't really have a time to wear it often so

I can't really wear it but anyways

I am going to be showing you those types of items

so to start

the hoodie that I am wearing right now

it's a trendy hoodie right now

first off it's really warm and thick

I really like big size clothes so this is probably a

large size

I got this from Buried Alive

as a gift

I've been wearing it alot lately, and for this beanie

its a Supreme beanie

I really wanted it so

I was looking for it but

Yoojung said she had one so

I kind of just

sneakily, got it from her...anyways!

I think it'll be best to just

show you in the natural state so

I didn't organize anything

but this is in its real state

I'm going to show you

I have one more of these hoodies

This is in blue

and this one is actually size XL so

I like to wear this with leggings and have this look almost like a skirt

well, that's how long it is

I am wearing this really well

this is actually really tall, compared to my height so

I always step up right here or

yeah but next this one

is a Adidas cropped hoodie and this I wore during my

tip toe video filming, with this

together in a set like this

in my tip toe video but

I've been wearing the pants really well for that reason but

what makes me not really wear the crop as much is that

it's really thick and warm but

my stomach gets cold haha

this one is

from Supreme

I think I got this in New York and

When did I wear this one?

I wore it at

the 1Million Showcase

when I was dancing with Jay Park

If you wear this you kind of look like a worker at the fueling stations but it looks cool

like...oh even wearing it like this right now

is pretty nice but in the summer you can just wear

something like a crop top with this over

in the back it just says

Supreme

I have something similar to that but this is from

Charms and you know how I went to a show with charms recently,

for the reason that I went

they sent me a buuunch of clothes so

for that reason I'm wearing all of them well

but this ones one of them and it's so cute

this is the collabo between Charms and Kappa

but this one honestly

I bought this and wore it once. I don't know why I bought this.

why did I buy this?

the fit is sort of

just yeah...so this one I kind of

need to sell it or give it away.

I really wear this guy often

this is a Champion zip up hoodie but

but the material is interesting. Like the inside

has a different material and its really warm

but this one is probably

ah why is this so dirty

this is dirty too?

I guess I have to wash it, anyways!

in the front you can see a big Champion logo and

I think I got this in Tokyo

Kind of like this?

It's really warm and comfortable

even when I was doing Superweek I just

wore this over and went out and it was nice.

This one is

the Adidas shirt I wore

when I did Everybody the choreo

and I got this from Adidas as a sponsor but

it's their collabo with Alexander Wang

I am wearing this very nicely

if you pair this with jeans it's really pretty.

And this one I got as a gift but I think

I wore it on my birthday

I have alot of Adidas clothing

And this one is really

stand-out-ish clothing item

Those of you may already know but

I wore this when filming LEMON

and it's from This Is Never That and they had it in this exact color I needed

it was poppy and big,

the exact style that I wanted.

But after that filming,

I've only worn it once.

And one thing that is sort've a bummer

the inside fur comes out easily

and it get's onto other clothes so

you have to be careful when layering on the inside.

One of those clothing items.

Ah I really love this one. It's the exact fit that I like.

I was looking for this type of flannel

and it's from Charms as well.

But this one I've really been wearing well.

This one is from

a brand named (ames?)

but I wore this together like this not to long ago.

I think it's nice.

ah it's hot.

I think I have to take this off and film.

The hoodie is really large and

on the front it says Charms. This one is really cute too.

this

is the type of fit it has, the hat is really big too and

has a really baggy look.

The trend now a days is

wearing or not wearing

so I button it like this and

show off the t shirt I have on the inside

I layer it like this and fold up the sleeves.

If I wear it like this I look homeless. It's a homeless fit.

But lately,

alot of people go around wearing things like this you know?

If you wear the hood

It's really cute, really cute ok?

Another Purple.

This one is

Wow but now that I'm introducing all of these

I realize that I really live off of many people's support.

This is the one I got from the AAPE in China.

I am wearing this very well.

This one too.

Man am I homeless? Why do I only have clothes that I've received...

Not too long ago I re-organized my closet and

got rid of all the clothes I wasn't wearing.

Isn't this one so cute?

And it really is so warm.

I was really cold then when they gave it to me and told me to stay warm.

I was really warm after but this one

on the inside

has a yellow point to it so it matches with the beanie

well right now

Finally a clothing item that I bought myself!

This one is a Off-White Hoodie I bought last year

at a shop

but this one has a price to it...it's really really

nice and I'm wearing it well. This has really

nice printing and

in the back it has the signature logo.

For those of you who don't know,

Off-White clothing actually leaves the tags on purpose

this is what's cute.

You have to wear it.

The tag is the point.

This is Stereo's super cool

what do you call it...a police vest.

In the front there's alot of pockets

in the back it has holes like this.

You might think this is hard to pair/match.

But you can pair it

with a t-shirt or hoodie or tank top.

Isn't it pretty?

Because the back is so open

it's cool but

it can be a little hard to pair.

You can also get that thought like

is this too much?

But those of you who like street fashion,

it's been a while since you've worn fashion like this so you could be used to it.

This one is the Y3 jacket

this one's kind of

like a windbreaker

This one is waterproof so you won't get wet from the rain

I got this in LA

I showed this in my shopping haul but

I got this

in LA and

since it's still not

too cold

It looks like this and the length is about this long

and if you turn around

there is a big logo.

I really like it

I like it alot.

But the important thing is...

you can wear it inside out

You can even wear it as the white part

I have a Off-White jean jacket here

and same thing where I didn't take off the tag.

you don't take the tag off people!

Oh this one...

Out X.O gave this to me as a gift

and it's a really pretty

red dress. I haven't worn it once and I still have the tag on it.

I don't really have a place to wear it.

I'm always at the studio or dancing so, should I wear it?

is it like this?

like this?

anyways I think you wear it like this.

I'm wearing pants right now but

it's this type of one-piece and

I don't really know how to wear it.

This one I should wear it but

I bought it and I never wore it

because it's so interesting I don't know what to wear it with.

When I went to Japan,

theres a store that did

reform type of clothing (vintage).

The jacket is Reebok

and the sleeves are Levi's

they made these jeans

into a remake sleeve

I think I could just wear it like this

the sleeves are really long like this.

It's just like this and you can

roll up the sleeves

ah when I went to China I took photos in this

that's right.

Ah this one...these pants are here.

Do you recognize it?

16 shots video

it's the pants from that video

but

I needed red pants for that video

so I purchased this kind of in a rush

It kind of looks like pants you would wear to the supermarket

so that's why I don't wear these often.

Wow...I have clothing like this.

Yes very occasionally I dress up more girly

because I have times I want to look more lady like so

I buy things like this to add to my closet.

but

should I wear it?

it's really

oh shoot I think it broke.

Wow it looks so weird cause I'm wearing it over this shirt.

yeah it looks like this.

I have a jean jacket but

where and when did I buy this?

It's really really old

I think I wore this in high school.

It's a really old fit

I don't wear this that often either but

I'm not sure it could be my sister's clothes.

and

Tommy

it's really

a jacket that I love

I think it's more last season but

oh my god oh my god

do you guys know this?

on the inside like this

with the useless belt

what choreo was this?

this was Lia's choreo

Where They From

that's right

WTF

I wore this with leggings as a set

and people kept asking

kept asking where I got it but wait I have to wear it.

what's really funny about this is that

this has stuff liket his

I don't know why but

it comes off completely

elbow. But this one for filming reasons

I didn't really wear it outside much

and I don't know why but

something just felt uncomfortable wearing it out so

I wore this for the studio

what the go down

I wear this for class now and then but

I dont think I've worn it for about a year

does anyone want it?

This is another jacket I

really really like

you can find this through internet shopping

I wore this for the profile photos we took

at 1Million

and it's the jacket I wore then but it's really

hip

and pretty.

This usually comes alot longer but this ones really short so

it gives off a different vibe.

It's easier to pair with pants and

can look more girlish.

I don't like the longer ones very much because

I wore those way too much when I was younger

Wow I wore this alot.

Anti Social Social Club

In the back too, it's pink and

It's a hoodie I wore alot

this one too

Work

Work work work work...can you guys remember?

So now for the thicker clothing because

in the winter I get cold really easily

so I wear lots of

jackets and coats but I really only have

a few things because I wear long padding (long padded jacket) over everything.

This is a Supreme jacket that I bought not too long ago

Just a jacket with the logo in the front and on the inside

there's a flannel type material

in a checkerd print

And since I have alot of light colored jean jackets

I wanted something more

darker like a black

jean jacket when I bought this

and it was on sale I think

This one is well

I had about

a few leather jackets but I threw them all away

I only saved one cause it's really thick and good for the cold.

It's perfect for right now.

Honestly I don't think you need many leather jackets.

You can get away with just one

and wear it over and over

It looks like I have a lot of clothing but I don't have that much.

oh wow

This actually was delivered yesterday

Yesterday I went out to meet In-Hyeok

I wore this out

He said come out to hang but

he was wearing sweats

I sort've wear cheetah/leopard print on and off

through years cause

since my image is so strong if I wear this

then

However I wanted to wear something stylish so

I decided to go with this foxy style

If I bought something too fitted

a little too much then

it could look bad

You can wear this with something

more thick

I bought this with that style in mind but

I think well

I like it

Best item.

Lately I wear this all the time but it is this padded jacket.

Isn't it so pretty? It's so pretty.

But the size is a bit big so

I worried a bit but

wow it's really large

but as I said I really like

larger clothing

And when I was watching the show I thought "wow that's so pretty!"

but somehow...somehow this happened and I received it so.

I wear this really well, the back logo is so pretty.

Something I haven't worn this year yet

it's a thick leather jacket

It's from Kai-aakmann

I got this two years ago

and it's pretty but

it's pretty but

the arms are way too tight

you can't really lift the arms so

if I'm trying to do something

like on my phone like this then I'll start to cramp here

so I don't get to wear this often.

The amazing long-padding.

Did I wash this?

I didn't wash it...

My name's on it

Mina

This was the first long-padding that they said

they were going to make and match for everyone

It's this inspire millions long padding but

too much fur comes out so

the cotton is really dead

it's too wasteful to throw out so I'm keeping it for memories.

This isn't something you can buy but something we just matched with the staff.

This is the long padding I got as a gift

last year from New Balance.

but it's really warm. Really really warm.

But the hood is a bit

not that pretty but

long padding is well

just long padding.

This is a trench coat that I have

It's from Studio Tomboy and

I must have bought it in the spring at an outlet

usually trench coats have alot of stiff areas

and I really don't like that so

I found this one with

a lose fit.

The length goes down to my feet

This much?

But this too honestly

I don't wear that often

I am usually in training pants (sweats), crew neck, or hoodie.

like

things that are easy to put on and take off

I really like those things

This too is a coat that I only really have one like

This is similar to the length before, around this long?

this has a thicker material and

is still good for winter time.

It's good but

probably not as warm as a long padding jacket.

I think I've shown you most of the things

that are in this area.

And now I'll show you my shelves

These ones that are on here

are all pants

I have a bunch of skirts and stuff

over 10 pairs

Here I have some training pants

This one's 1Million pants

and this

Kappa

is from the one I wore to last seasons fashion week

this ones Adidas training

AAPE

and here it's mixed but

there's alot of jeans

alot of different pairs here

I have some camo pants and down here

I have more pants

and here too I have training pants

camo pants

I wear these

and I think this one is Nike

down here are pants too

all training pants

basically

all...training pants

tada these are my hats

This is a Gucci bucket hat I got

I have a bunch of beanies

here like this and bucket hats under

all organized

Honestly for this video

I organized my hats a bit but, I have more black caps here

you have some jean too

camp, orange, pink color

this one I bought and haven't worn once

pink, red, and burgundy Adidas

yup like this

I have.

Yes like this

I have shown you my closet!

I wear these clothes alot on the daily.

I really like that comfortable type of style

the type where you can change really fast and

can wear and take off easily

those types of clothings.

Cause I have to change so many times a day anyways.

Am I over-exaggerating? Anyways,

when I go to the studio to practice

I have to change into my practice clothes so

I try to make it so that I dress myself in clothes that are comfortable and easy to practice in

but still cute.

Comfortable but still

with style to it.

I think I tend to buy those types of clothing.

So clothing I can dance in or now that it's fall

clothes that are a bit thicker.

But once the weather gets nicer

I can even introduce what I wear in the summer.

Then I will see you guys in my next video! Byeeee~~~~~~

ah so hot.

Meghan's fashion hits and misses on the royal tour - Duration: 10:18.

The Duchess of Sussex has been through a dizzying 33 outfit changes since her first major royal tour began on  15th October

She's showcased a wide range of looks from casual jeans and wellies for to smart tuxedo dresses and a breathtaking Oscar De La Renta ballgown

But as the royal tour draws to an end, which ensembles have secured Meghan's status as a fashion icon, and what ones should never have made it into the suitcase

Celebrity stylist and designer Lucas Armitage has analysed Meghan's every look from top to toe for Femail to give his verdict on the hits and misses - but which looks are your favourites?HIT: Oscar de la Renta gown The £10K tulle gown Meghan wore to the Australian Geographic Society Gala Awards at the Shanghai-La hotel on Friday 26th October was branded the standout look of the tour by royal fans

And not surprisingly, Lucas agrees that it's one of Meghan's best looks to date.   'Oscar de la Renta is a fashion house that encapsulates the princes moment for most women,' he said

'Here Meghan give us the fashion equivalent of a Disney movie looking every inch the royal she is

The dress is the perfect balance of traction and modernity with the dynamic monochrome bird print giving an unconventional vibe to an otherwise stunningly classic gown

' MISS: Martin Grant Striped Cotton DressMeghan wore a striped dress by Australian designer Martin Grant and the Manolo Blahnik BB heels she wore at Prince Louis' christening for an official meeting with the Prime Minister of Tonga on 26th October

'I'm sadly not a fan of this Martin Grant dress. It comes off as being slightly fancy dress and doesn't feel like a 2018 play on Victorian chic, but a more like a recreation of a period piece,' Lucas explained

'The green and cream colour combo isn't very chic and the whole vibe isn't what I'd expect from Meghan

'  HIT: Reformation Pineapple dressMeghan added a subtly racy edge to her royal wardrobe in a striped Reformation dress for a visit to Fraser Island on 22nd October, teamed with strappy sandals

'Meghan shows she can do well put together looks pretty much every time she is seen in public so this effortless vibe is refreshing as it is cool,' Lucas explained

'The reformation dress is so perfect for a stroll around the Bay and the belted detail gives her the ideal silhouette for the early evening sunshine

' MISS: Martin Grant trench coat with Rothy's flatsFor a visit to South Melbourne Beach on 18th October, Meghan made a rare appearance in flat shoes by eco-friendly brand Rothy's

For the outing, she wore a beige Martin Grant trench coat over a plain black dress from Club Monaco, but it seems the length of her outerwear let the whole outfit down

'I'm not adverse to flats like many other stylists can be. I love the Rothy's flats and the eco message they give out as they are created from recycled plastic bottles,' Lucas said

'For me the fashion sin here is the trench finishing so much lower than the hem of the dress

I would have taken the hem of the trench to finish where the dress does to elongate Meghan

'All the different finishing points distract from Meghan's amazing legs and it would have given this look a much cleaner modern aesthetic

'HIT: Altazzura blazer with skinny jeans For the Invictus Games Driving Challenge in Sydney on 20th October, Meghan nailed casual chic in black skinny Mother jeans and a crisp white blazer from Aquazzura teamed with her favourite heels from the same brand

'This is an ensemble every woman should have in her wardrobe the aquazzura shoes are Meghans go to black courts and add a twist to this classic and chic look,' Lucas explained

'The skinny jeans and a silky black blouse are items most women will already have, so update them with a white blazer for a chic look just like Meghan

' MISS: Jason Wu dress For her departure from Fiji on 25th October, Meghan wore one of the more expensive items of the royal tour in the form of a £2,229 Jason Wu midi dress in forest green

'I'm usually a huge fan Jason Wu fan, but for me this dress doesn't flatter Meghan,' Lucas said

'The raglan sleeve detail adds unnecessary bulk, I would have possibly preferred it if it was cut above the knee which would have felt younger and fresher

'HIT: Dion Lee dressMeghan looked elegant in  a 'folded sail' dress from Australian label Dion Lee for a visit to Melbourne's Government House on 18th October

'It has been great to see Meghan wear some Australian designers and this royal blue Dion Lee dress ticks so many style boxes for me,' Lucas said

'The colour is so chic and makes a bold departure from navy, the asymmetry and structure give a classic midi shape some edge

A huge thumbs up from me.'MISS: Figue Frederica dressMeghan finally embraced colour and pattern in a kaftan-style red and blue Figue Frederica dress with a pom pom tie for a visit to a local market in Suva on 24th October

She teamed the eye-catching number with espadrille wedges, which let the outfit down for Lucas

'I don't hate this on a huge scale, but for me wedges are an clunky and ugly shoe choice on anyone,' he explained

'I understand the comfort they offer but I much prefer the sleeker stiletto shoes we are used to seeing Meghan rock

The pompom on the printed dress is a detail I'd have preferred not to be there.' HIT: Emilia Wickstead dressFor the opening of the ANZAC War Memorial, at Sydney's Hyde Park on 20th October, Meghan showed off sombre style in an Emilia Wickstead 'Camilla' wool crepe dress

She teamed the ensemble with a Philip Treacy hat and Tabitha Simmons 'Millie' shoes

'A more sober occasion sees Meghan style up her trusted Aquazzura courts with a classic black shirt dress with contrast buttons,' Lucas said

'The fluted sleeve detail is stunning and the jaunty fascinator adds a finishing touch of elegance

' MISS: Karen Walker blazer and welliesThe Duchess of Sussex donned a blazer by New Zealand designer, Karen Walker, which she paired with J

Crew Toothpick jeans and wellington boots by Muck as she arrived arrived to dedicate a 20-hectare area of native bush to The Queen's Commonwealth Canopy in Auckland

While there's certainly nothing wrong with wellies, it's the combination with an otherwise polished ensemble that jars

'I'm all for practical dressing, but whoever thought waterproof boots and a business like blazer would be a perfect pairing?' Lucas said'This is a disjointed look

I would have loved to see her go full on casual chic her in a stylish parka and fine knit

' HIT: Antonio Berardi tuxedo dressFor the Invictus Games closing ceremony on 27th October, Meghan wore an Antonio Berardi tuxedo dress which is believed to cost around £1,500, paired with Aquazzura 'Casablanca' pumps

'I love to see Meghan in tailoring and no more so than this Antonio Beradi peak lapel tux dress,' Lucas explained

'The cut away halter neck gives this staple dress a cool and interesting update. Pairing with a beige shoe also offers more interest

'MISS: Self Portrait dressMeghan chose a £380 Self Portrait dress, teamed with Manolo Blahnik pumps for her arrival in Fua'amotu Airport, Tonga

However, she experienced a rare fashion faux pas by leaving the returns label flapping from the bottom of her dress

'Whilst I do love the belt detail and the tonal lace detail on the Self Portrait midi dress sadly leaving the tag hanging of the gem is a fashion faux pas I can't overlook,' Lucas said

Cultural Appropriation in Fashion | Vlog Ep. 2 | The Empty Hanger - Duration: 4:31.

- Hi, welcome back to behind the seams,

on the empty hanger.

I'm Adjuah, a correspondent from this series,

and today we're gonna further explore,

the topic of cultural appropriation and fashion.

This one is again of continued importance to me,

because of my mixed heritage.

My mom is Dutch, my dad's Nigerian.

I'm wondering if we walked a few lines,

when it comes to this.

And so we're gonna stop at my mom's house first,

to take a further look at this topic.

(upbeat music)

- I was in Nigeria a couple of months,

when my mother in law gave me a beautiful,

very colorful outfit.

And I wore it that Christmas,

and I have worn it quite a few times since.

I didn't wear it daily but I wore it for special days,

like Christmas, Easter, maybe a birthday.

- So that's my mom Jacomina.

A Dutch born woman,

who fell in love with a Nigerian man.

They moved together to Nigeria,

to be close to his family and for work.

So she wanted to embrace the culture,

and in doing so decided,

to wear some of the traditional clothing.

Most of it was gifted to her by other family members.

And she really liked wearing it,

at special occasions and holidays.

For her it symbolized her union with my dad.

So it has me wondering is it culture appropriation,

or is it really more in that situation,

like cultural exchange?

- I remember going to the village,

where dads mom was born.

And it was quite a big thing,

everybody stopped working,

and they all came out to meet us.

And the first thing they did,

was take me to one of the homes in the bedroom,

and gave me a native outfit to wear. (laughs)

Because they wanted me to be dressed like them.

So that was kind of really special.

- So I think it comes down to context,

and has me wondering still,

where do we fall in this continuum?

It has me thinking we should go back,

to Doctor Jeffrey Tucker,

at the University of Rochester,

who we spoke to in the last episode,

for some more clarification on these definitions.

- Participation suggests,

a greater investment socially, politically,

intellectually in a culture,

that may not be organically ones own.

And so I think of appropriation,

culture appropriation being more like a performance,

something that one can put on and take off easily.

Whereas cultural exchange suggests,

again this kind of participation and investment.

And so I think the question that one should ask,

when you're trying to make a distinction between the two.

Is where is that investment?

- So some of my fondest memories,

are attending these Nigerian community gatherings.

Often we did it like for Nigerian independence day.

We'd all come together dressed in our traditional clothing.

My mom did it, and often was wearing clothes,

that had been gifted to her by other members,

of the Nigerian community.

We had a great time, we danced, we'd eat delicious food,

and have a genuine appreciation for one another,

and our friendships.

I think that this is a kind of investment,

Doctor Jeffrey was talking about.

- It was still kind of special to wear the outfit,

it is like a way of fitting in,

of totally accepting the culture,

like eating the food, you know?

Eating the Nigerian food,

and also being able to wear their clothing.

So it is a way of saying "Yeah it's okay,

it is part of my culture too now".

- I love that my mom considers this part of her culture too.

I can't imagine growing up any other way.

It's been such a gift having a blended family,

with Dutch and Nigerian cultures.

Especially living here in America.

On our next episode,

we're gonna visit MansaWear,

it's a boutique here in Rochester, New York,

that features costume-made clothing,

out of African fabric.

The owner Nita Brown,

is gonna tell us a little bit about her take,

on cultural appropriation.
