U$50 cheap studio lighting setup - how to shoot a fashion editorial - #7 - どのようにファッション誌を撮影するか - Duration: 4:13.

GoPro start recording. GoPro I have got a very good idea for a very

cheap lighting setup. it's gonna cost you only $50. all you have to get is one of

these two hundred watts lighting bulb which costs five dollars and one of this

super powerful 500 watts photo flood lamp. check this out!. and then there

was light !! so one of those is gonna cost you maybe forty five bucks or something like

that. so $45 here. $5 dollars there. 50 bucks. all you have to do is. Set the

photo flooding lamp bounced against a white wall.

so this photo flood is gonna be only a fill light. ok guys, what I have in my

hand here is a photometer. you're gonna need one of those to read the light

that's bouncing behind the camera towards the model. So we're gonna

have it set to ambient light, it is not flash, gonna read and it says 2.8 ISO is 400

and speed is 60. I want this lamp here, which is going to

be the main lamp, to be two or two-and-a-half stops stronger than that

one there. so 2.8, one stop is four, two stops 5.6. two and half stops is gonna be 5 6

and 1/2. ok jack? let's switch this thing on. boom. and now you have this

light here very close to the model. watch it!. it is hot. you don't want your model to

burn herself. ok, just tell your model to keep away from the light and

not touch it, because it gets very hot. then switch the the bouncing light off.

so you can read only the main.

five six and a half. switch the bouncing on again. bouncing light is only to make

the lower part of the body a little bit more rich in details. you're gonna set

your camera to 5.6 and a half aperture, speed 60, don't forget to set

the white balance to tungsten light. if you don't set it to tungsten and

you have it set to daylight or flash, or something like that, your pictures are

gonna turn out blue!. and now all you have to do is look for the shadows.

direct your model to turn her head left and right and up and down. look

for a nice shadow. when you find one say to her lock!. then find a nice

pose. you know that approximately the shadows are around here,

and then just keep snapping. one good tip is to use oil on the their body, in

the models body, because the lower part is darker,

the bouncing light is hitting here, and then if you have the oil,

the bouncing light it's gonna make it shine a little bit, it is gonna look very good! so all you have to

do now is pose your model and direct her, or him, to look the way you want them to look.

let's make a little animation with the pictures with a little reggae

on the backdrop. just to, you know , everyone feel good.

yeah man, isn't it like Jamaica? I just love it, you know I mean? this girl

here, oh, seems like she's at home. yeah guys, very easy

setting to do!. you can buy two lamps for 50 bucks. take it home. at the corner

there on your garage or somewhere, you can make a nice cozy setting.

get the model there, and take a few photos, then upload to

Instagram. is very easy, nice and simple thing to do. I hope you like that

and next week I gonna be posting another video. yeah, hope you subscribe

and drop me a comment! yeah, it's gonna be nice to hear from you.

GoPro, switch off!!

The Findings: a curated list of fashion ideas and inspiration | Ep.4 - Duration: 5:58.

Hi everyone! Here's another episode of the findings

a curated list of the best and newest fashion related things.

Let's do this!

Today I would like to share with you a sustainable swimwear brand

that perfectly fits under the Wonder Wardrobe concept

because all of their swimsuits have multiple purposes and

can be easily reused easily.

All their pieces are reversible so they can be used on either the 'lycra' side or the 'full mesh' side.

Which I think is pretty cool and unique.

The monochromatic palette allows you mix and match different tops and bottoms

and create various sets, play with colours, silhouettes and textures.

The one-piece swimsuits are also very flattering.

This orange one is my favourite.

I am sure you can wear it not only at the beach but also in the city as well.

For example, if you add a pair of high waisted jeans with a kimono on top

or even a jeans jacket, it will look really cool.

On top of all these benefits, it's a 100% ethical and sustainable brand.

All their items are handmade out of recycled materials in their small studio in Rimini, Italy.

So if you're looking for unique, multipurpose swimwear

this brand will not disappoint you.

I'm a big fan of Clare Press and her fashion podcast Wardrobe Crisis.

But before the podcast, she wrote a book that was also called Wardrobe Crisis

and finally, I got my hands on it.

It's a book about the history and ethics behind what we wear

fashion sustainability problems and hopes.

Although the topic of the book is serious

it's easy to read and digest.

It's not a dark book that will tell you how the world is coming to end.

It doesn't make you feel guilty, but more likely well informed and empowered.

I don't remember when a book about fashion made such a strong impression on me.

I don't want to spoil it too much for you, just read it

it's really, really good.

If like me, you believe inspiration can be found all around us

you'll love the work of Benjamin Shine.

Each of his artworks is created by manipulating a single length of lightweight, fine material

to fabricate carefully-formed faces and figures.

Check this video to see the process and his beautiful art.

The Hidden Brain podcast 'Money Talks' makes solid arguments for why you should care about your money.

This episode will show you how you control the world and are being controlled by your wallet.

We all vote with our money on a daily basis and

this influences the world around us.

The world of fashion is a big part of this world and

it's up to us to change it with our purchases.

Joni Mitchell is well known for her art and music

and of course, her iconic bohemian fashion style.

But it is less known that her life is a journey of nonconformity and rebellion due to her unique spirit.

Check this article to find some things we can all learn from a woman

who has lead a truly extraordinary and uncompromising life.

One of the most exciting fashion innovations I've found recently was the Smart coat by Emel and Aris

that comes with a heating system already inserted.

Basically, it warms you up no matter the weather.

The battery has three heat settings

so you can control the heat and choose the most comfortable one.

Franca Sozzani is credited with inventing the supermodel,

turning photographers into creative powerhouses and

and bringing the famous Vogue Italia to the absolute top of fashion publishing with her punk attitude.

Her story will inspire anyone that has even the least interest in fashion.

I consider it a must-see.

I'm an avid collector of fashion history.

I even have a couple of vintage magazines

that help me understand where we're coming from and

where we're going in terms of fashion.

But this Instagram account managed to somehow distil 60 years of fashion into its posts.

Whenever you're ready for a trip down fashion memory lane

take a peek at their account.

That's it! I hope you liked this episode of the findings.

Please, let me know where you get your fashion inspiration from

maybe you've seen some cool blogs or videos?

Please, let me know!

Let's discover things together and inspire each other.

As well as events I'm going to, trips and so on, I love to take you along with me

I hope you feel that way too

Please also leave me a comment on what you want to see on this channel

Which videos do you want me to do?

Should I do a collaboration with someone?

Whatever you want to see, let me know below

So let's jump into my January favorites

Let's start with

A thing I started doing this Christmas

When Christmas arrives I get excited for next year and start planning

And I started watching videos on YouTube about

Bullet Journaling

So I of course had to buy myself a Bullet Journal

This is my black Bullet Journal from Moleskine

I've just put "Kaja-Marie 2018" on the cover

This seriously saves my everyday

It's genius and I write down everything in it

There is a lot of videos about Bullet Journaling on YouTube if you want to know more

So I recommend watching those

Or let me know if you want me to make a video

About my thoughts about Bullet Journaling and where I explain what it is

But for me that loves my lists this is so great!

I write down everything

So let me know if you want me to talk more about it

And while we are talking about books

I've had both time and energy to start reading more this month

One of my goals for 2018 is to read more books

I started with "You do You" by Sarah Knight. I'm not done with it yet

It's a self help book

But not a weird one

She writes very funny and sarcastic and it's a really interesting book

But it's really, really good, highly recommend it

It's not in Norwegian, but in English I think it would be weird translated into Norwegian..

I also really want to read her two others books as well!

So this one, is pretty good

My favorite bag this month

I guess it's no surprise that it's this one

From J.W.Anderson

I bought it in London, on -70% off or something

It's so cool and it works with a lot of outfits

It makes so many outfits just a little more exciting

When it's bright orange with golden details

So I'm really happy with it

I can also do a review when I've used it for a while, to see how it holds up

I've only had it for a month, and I haven't used it every day

So I can get back to you on that if you want me to

And then

Ops...

Some beauty items

First off, at the beginning of this year

No.. In the beginning of January, well, the year

I had a facial by Decleor, which was so amazing

A face treatment and it's was so good

So I had to mention that first

Because that was definitley one of my favorites this month

And then we can talk about the actual products

I've tested some Korean beauty lately, and these

Petifee, black pearl and gold hydrogel eyepatch

They are so great

I have done a collaboration with the online store that sells these

This is not the collaboration, but the products are sponsored and I'm not payed to say this

I use these a whole lot

3-4 times a week when I feel a little extra puffy in my face

And then this one

This is "One step original clear pad"

It's just simple pads

Which is a toner

You just swipe it all over your face after cleansing to make sure all make-up is gone

And these are also so good

Another thing that also is korean

From Erborian. This is a CC cream

This is SO good. I have it in the color clair

I always bring it with me to the cabin

And this is the one I always use when I'm going to the gym not wearing makeup

Because you don't want to work out with makeup on, and in the mountains I don't want to wear makeup

This just takes away some of that redness and makes you look a little bit fresher

And it doesn't feel like you have anything else on the skin but a cream

So the fact that it actually covers a little and makes you look a little more healthy

High definision radiance face cream

And it's SPF 25 in it, that is also a good thing

Then a few make up products

I have tested this one this month. I bought it during Christmas

I started testing it in the beginning of January

It's the Performace Wear Liquid Foundation from Bare Minerals

I have it in the color Cool Beige

This lasts sooooo long

And for me that films a lot and takes a lot of photos

Then this is amazing, it has great cover

But at the same time super light weight, and super easy to apply

So I recommend this if you're looking for a new foundation

And I have picked up a lipgloss, liptint, whatever you call it

Fenty Glow From Fenty Beauty

And it's called Gloss Bomb

It's so nice and it's the one I'm wearing today It's a lipgloss

It smells so good, has a lovely color and is easy to apply

It's always nice to have in your bag if you want to wear something else then just a lipbalm

And then

This one

Has been my favorite in January

And a little in December, because I actually got it in December

I know that GHD stylers are really good

I have used another brand for a while, but now I'm back with GHD

And it's so much easier to style and curl with

It kind of has that circled shape, and it doesn't get hot on the outside, but

it's just amazing to style with. Without a doubt the best stylers

So, I recommend this one

Then lets move over to some fashion items

There is probably no surprise that Baker Boy hats is my favorites this month

Or this season

I bought this one on Topshop First I bought a black one on Asos

But that is a little too small

So it's kind of uncomfortable to wear

But then I bought this grey one on Topshop over New Years when I was there

And then I bought this one when I was in Copenhagen

They add that little extra to an outfit, and when it's snowing

then these are so perfect to wear

They are the best when it's snowing, your hair is not getting wet and you don't need an umbrella

I love them

And then I have two jackets here

One of them is this one

The teddy coat in pink from Bik Bok

I don't think it's in store yet

It will be available in week 13

This is SO cool!

It reminds me of a jacket from Topshop, which I've seen on a few UK Youtubers

And I wanted it so bad, but we don't have Topshop so that wouldn't do

But when Bik Bok made this one I'm all good

Because it's basically the same

I just love this one

Then another jacket

This faux fur

From Weekday, it's light blue and so amazing

I just love it, and it's so warm and cozy

It's great to snuggle up in when it's cold outside

So this is also a huge favorite

I'm a huge fan of pastels these days, I usually am

But especially now when spring is arriving soon

I also want to mention two YouTubers that has been my favorites this month

I watch a lot of YouTubers

But this month I want to mention InTheFrow

A YouTuber based in the UK, she is the same age as me

And she talks alot about fashion and beauty and vlogs

She does such a good job, I'll link her channel below

And I'll of course link all the products below as well

I also want to mention a Norwegian youtuber that I recently started following; Celina Karine

She also does such a good job and it's so fun to follow her everyday life

And to get some make up tips from her as well

She is so good, and it's important to cheer for each other

So check out those if your looking for some new YouTubers to follow

That was my January favorites

I hope you liked the video, give me a thumbs up if you did

And leave me a comment with what you want to see in my videos in the future

And if you think it's fun that I'm now doing three videos a week

Don't forget to subscribe to stay up to date

Thank you so much for watching. I'll see you soon, bye!

I need time to rest and prepare for big events, says Saina Nehwal - Duration: 3:21.

I need time to rest and prepare for big events, says Saina Nehwal

Indian badminton great Saina Nehwal on Wednesday said she is not getting any younger and needs more time to rest and prepare for the big-ticket events in a "killing" calendar.

Saina, who reached the final of Indonesia Masters last week, had written to Badminton Association of India (BAI) to allow her to withdraw from Asia Team Championship scheduled from February 6 to 11 at Alor Setar, Malaysia.

Playing the ABC will make it the third successive week for Saina, who is currently playing at the India Open following her final finish at Jakarta.

The Indian ace wants time to train for the All England Championship to be held at Birmingham from March 14 to 18. "It is not about training, it is about giving time to my body.

It is tough, it is a killing sport. It looks easy from outside that we are playing strokes.

I don't want to just play. I want time to be fresh for tournaments," said Saina, who had reached the finals of All England in 2015.

"I know people want me to play and want me to be there but what is the point when people say 'Saina lost' and 'Saina is out of form'. Then I have to face it, nobody else.

It is a funny thing but I feel bad. I cry sometime because it is not easy to take. It is not easy for people to understand what we go through.

I am not 20 anymore, I have to keep myself fit to be able to play for long and you see the calendar, it is akilling calendar and we don't know when and how many tournaments we will play and what happens next.".

The ABC is a qualifier for the Uber Cup Final to be held at Bangkok in May and BAI wants Saina to play to enhance India's chance of making the prestigious event.

"You have to understand that I still need time. It is not that I haven't played for India.

I have played enough Uber Cup and every time I played I have won all my matches," said Saina after reaching the second round here.

"I have planned in such a way that I give good result in team events and big events. So I am mostly looking at Commonwealth Games and Asian Games, those are two targets for me.

I want to challenge myself. Sometimes I play stupid strokes and I have to be smarter and I don't just want to play. I know if I am fit, I can win," she added.

The South Korea-U.S. defense cost sharing agreement

has to be re-set considering reality and fairness.

That's what Elbridge Colby, U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense, said at a press briefing

on Monday, local time.

Asked whether it isn't contradictory to strengthen the alliance with South Korea but at the same

time seek to negotiate on the defense cost share,... Colby answered, "you wouldn't expect

your friend to be unfair when working together."

He stressed South Korea has become one of the most prosperous countries in the world...

and the U.S. is already spending a large share of its defense budget on supporting forces

abroad.

The comment comes amid speculation the two countries could soon start negotiations on

defense cost.

Trump to tout strong economy in State of the Union address debut - Duration: 1:55.

Now for a look at stories making headlines around the world and we start with President

Trump's first State of the Union address.

The highly anticipated speech to Congress and millions of Americans is slated for Tuesday

night, Washington time.... or 11AM this morning, Korea time

For more on this and other news we turn to our Ro Aram…

Aram… what can we expect from Trump's debut State of the Union address?

Well Semin… on Monday, White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders said the economy will be "front

and center," and Trump will likely take credit for the U.S. economic gains in the past year.

The trend of lower unemployment and higher growth began under his predecessor, but Trump

argues the tax overhaul he signed into law late last year has boosted business confidence

and will lead companies to reinvest in the United States.

Furthermore, Trump will likely mention plans to rebuild America's infrastructure and continue

his demands for renegotiating or scrapping trade deals with other nations.

He is also expected to push for bipartisan congressional action on immigration reform

with a possible deal with the Democrats.

At the heart of his proposal is overturning a decision to scrap the so-called DACA program,

in which around 700-thousand young illegal immigrants, known as Dreamers, were protected

from deportation.

Trump, in return, is hoping to secure billions of dollars for his proposed border wall with

Mexico, as well as cuts to legal immigration levels.

If the issue is touched upon, then it would be interesting to see the reactions from dozens

of Democratic lawmakers who are bringing Dreamers as their guests to watch the address.

The general goal of Trump's maiden State of the Union address will be to rally support

as he struggles with record low approval rating and battles a probe into his campaign's alleged

ties with Russia.

South Korea, U.S. start second round of FTA talks - Duration: 1:53.

South Korea and the U.S. have started their second round of talks on the possible amendment

of their free trade deal.

The meeting, which kicked off in Seoul earlier today,.... comes amid rising tensions between

the two countries over Washington's safeguard measures on South Korean washers and solar

panels.

Kim Hyesung reports.

A second round of talks to revise the Korea-U.S. free trade agreement.

Negotiators from South Korea and the U.S.,... represented by Yoo Myung-hee, director general

for South Korea's trade ministry's trade policy bureau and her U.S. counterpart, Assistant

Trade Representative Michael Beeman, kicked off their two-day meeting in Seoul.

Before entering the talks, Yoo said she will focus on maximizing Korea's national interest

and that the two sides will discuss details on topics raised during their first round

of talks in Washington.

During the initial meeting in early January, Seoul raised issues with the investor-state

dispute settlement cause and ways to protect its agricultural industry,... while the U.S.

presented proposals to improve its auto exports and lift trade barriers.

As of 2017, Korea's trade surplus with the U.S. was about 18 billion dollars, with car

exports accounting for over 70 percent of the surplus.

At the same time, South Korea is expected to raise the issue of Washington's safeguard

measures.

A week ago, the Trump Administration imposed tariffs on foreign residential washing machines

and solar cells, including those from South Korea, saying they hurt U.S. local industry.

The safeguard measure, which was imposed for the first time against Korea in 16 years,

would lead to tariffs of up to 50 percent on imported washing machines and a 30 percent

tariff will be applied on imported solar panels after the first 2.5 gigawatts in the first

year.

Calling the move excessive, South Korea has filed a complaint with the World Trade Organization.

For more on this and other news we turn to our Ro Aram…

Aram… what can we expect from Trump's debut State of the Union address?

Well Mark… on Monday, White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders said the economy will be "front

and center," and Trump will likely take credit for the U.S. economic gains in the past year.

The general goal of Trump's maiden State of the Union address will be to rally support

as he struggles with record low approval ratings and battles a probe into his campaign's alleged

ties with Russia.

U.S. Air Force General says North Korea has not demonstrated important ICBM technologies - Duration: 0:42.

A senior U.S. military official has assessed that North Korea's nuclear program has made

some strides in recent months,... but the regime has yet to demonstrate all the components

of an intercontinental ballistic missile.

Paul Selva, Vice Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff, says North Korea has yet

to demonstrate fusing and targeting technologies or a survivable re-entry vehicle.

However, he says it's possible the North has them,... but hasn't demonstrated them just

yet.

In November, North Korea said it had successfully tested a new type of ICBM,... the Hwaseong-15,...

which could reach all of the U.S. mainland.

South Korea, U.S. start second round of FTA talks - Duration: 1:57.

Ding, ding... round two.

South Korea and the U.S. have started their second round of talks to revise their free

trade agreement.

The meeting, which kicked off around three hours ago in Seoul,.... comes amid rising

tensions between the two countries over Washington's safeguard measures on South Korean washers

and solar panels.

Kim Hyesung has the details.

S. Korea-U.S. defense cost sharing has to be re-set considering fairness, reality: U.S. official - Duration: 0:50.

The South Korea-U.S. defense cost sharing agreement has to be re-set considering reality

and fairness.

Donald Trump issues stark WARNING that North Korea could STRIKE US 'homeland very SOON' - DAILY NEWS - Duration: 3:09.

Donald Trump issues stark WARNING that North Korea could STRIKE US 'homeland very SOON'

DONALD Trump has issued a stark warning to the US by claiming that "North Korea could

very soon threaten our homeland" in his State of the Union (SOTU) speech to a joint

Congress, it has emerged.

The Republican firebrand blasted despot leader Kim Jong-un for oppressing his people and

labelling his pursuit of nuclear weapons as "desperate".

He stated: "No regime has oppressed its own citizens more totally or brutally than

the cruel dictatorship in North Korea.

"North Korea's reckless pursuit of nuclear missiles could very soon threaten our homeland.

"We are waging a campaign of maximum pressure to prevent that from ever happening.

"Past experience has taught us that complacency and concessions only invite aggression and

provocation."

The President then vowed to avoid "the mistakes" of past administrations that he claimed had

put North Korea in its threatening position.

He went on: "I will not repeat the mistakes of past administrations that got us into this

very dangerous position.

"We need only look at the depraved character of the North Korean regime to understand the

nature of the nuclear threat it could pose to America and to our allies."

A defector from the hermit kingdom was present in the audience - Ji Seong-ho's story of

having his limbs run over by a train before being subject to torture by the regime was

told by Mr Trump.

He said: "Seong-ho traveled thousands of miles on crutches all across China and Southeast

Asia to freedom.

"Most of his family followed.

His father was caught trying to escape, and was tortured to death."

The Republican firebrand declared that the defector was a "witness to the ominous nature"

of the rogue state.

Fred and Cindy Warmbier were also present at the SOTU address - the couple were reunited

with their son, Otto, after he returned from 17 months of captivity in the hermit kingdom.

Otto Warmbier died shortly after arriving back in the US after suffering from severe

brain damage.

In memory of the American college student, Donald Trump promised to "honour Otto's

memory with total American resolve".

Trump gave his first joint address to Congress last year, but it was not considered an official

SOTU speech as he had just taken office.

Melania attended the first joint address to Congress address and the US First Lady again

watched her husband's first SOTU speech.

His first SOTU speech came as his approval rating hovers in the 30s.

South Korea and U.S. to hold second round of FTA talks in Seoul - Duration: 0:53.

A second round of FTA renegotiations between South Korea and the U.S. kick off today.

Trade representatives from the two countries are meeting in Seoul this time around... after

holding their first meeting in Washington.

The talks, which will run through Thursday,... come a matter of days after South Korean manufacturers

were hit by the Trump administration's recently implemented safeguard measures against South

Korean residential washing machines and solar cells.

And it also comes after President Trump *again slammed the FTA as "a disaster," and a "job-killing"

pact for his country.

Seoul maintains the FTA benefits both countries by expanding trade and improving market access.

The second round of talks will likely center on key issues such as automotive parts,...

something the two weren't able to agree upon last time.

Humor from on High | U.S. Supreme Court Musings - Duration: 3:16.

Lawyers engaged in litigation must keep up with appellate decisions related to their

practice area.

At times this can be a real challenge to staying awake.

So, it is gratifying when some jurists salt their opinions with observations that can

make us smile … and keep our attention.

Here are a couple examples: A convicted murderer's lawyer argued to

the Supreme Court that his client's conviction should be overturned because four eyewitnesses

all clearly saw his face but didn't agree on his exact height and build.

Justice Scalia, known as the "funniest justice," pointed out:

"The desperate implausibility of the theory that petitioner put before the jury must be

kept firmly in mind.

... To assert that unhesitant and categorical identification by four witnesses who viewed

the killer, close-up and with the sun high in the sky, would not eliminate reasonable

doubt if it were based only on facial characteristics, and not on height and build, is quite simply

absurd.

Facial features are the primary means by which human beings recognize one another.

That is why ... bank robbers wear stockings over their faces instead of floor-length capes

over their shoulders; it is why the Lone Ranger wears a mask instead of a poncho; and it is

why a criminal defense lawyer who seeks to destroy an identifying witness by asking 'You

admit that you saw only the killer's face?' will be laughed out of the courtroom."

Justice Scalia was not the only Supreme Court wag.

Justice Sandra Day O'Connor could also turn a phrase.

Her clarity of thought allowed her to state the obvious:

"The issue presented in this case is whether a resolution banning all 'First Amendment

activities' at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) violates the First Amendment."

It didn't take long for the Supreme Court to unanimously find that the ban did in fact

violate the First Amendment.

I must admit that sometimes Hackard Law's litigation team fights trust, estate and elder

financial abuse cases on behalf of wronged beneficiaries where we must oppose defense

arguments we find to be as silly as the eye-witnesses case or as obvious as the First Amendment

case.

That said, what seems obvious to some of the parties may not be as obvious to their opponents.

That's when we take action for our clients.

If you'd like to talk to us about your estate, trust or elder financial abuse case, call

us at Hackard Law: 916-313-3030.

We'll be glad to listen to your story and see how best to help you.

Thank you.

Techcrim Russian ZINC slug - First time demonstrated in U.S.! - Duration: 10:28.

this is Jeff coming to you from the hot zinc zone yes

these are zinc slugs let free they come from Russia they're in the United States

and hopefully soon they'll be available for sale these are made by a company

called tech rim we have the pleasure of e in the first people in the United

States to shoot these and show you what they do while the box is pretty plain

looking it does have all the vital information we need we see the slug

weighs 20 grams the startup velocity is 500 meters per second and even has an

expiration date the shell is marked in Russian which i think is pretty cool and

I believe it says tech rim eco Diablo slug the roll crimp is interesting

because it has a small taper to it that should help with feeding issues on some

shotguns looking at the slug itself you can see that it's pretty much a clone of

the Lineman 525 slug while the slugs looked very similar they differ in

density and also hardness zinc has a melting point a little bit higher than

that of lead so it actually makes sense to use zinc because it's inexpensive and

it's castable the alternative for a non led slug is to use brass copper steel

all of which has to be machined which drives up the costs even though the zinc

slug is much lighter than its LED counterpart that just means you can load

these much hotter get flatter trajectories and make up for that loss

and bass welcome back to later folks Jeff and officer Craig here hey today

we're bringing you tech rims zinc round not available yet in the US this they're

here in the United States but there's not for sale anywhere yes so we're gonna

fire zinc against an aluminum block you saw the aluminum block Danny shot last

week and made a weird ringing noise and if you didn't go back and watch it so

let's go ahead and give this zinc round let's go ahead and give it a dip it off

butterfingers dropped on the ground yeah we're gonna run it through the weather

BPA four five nine and send it downrange and see how it does

there you go so there's our impact go off to the left left it I know I am a

leftist a little bit low a little bit left but look what it did here how it

stretched that out we can say we had a big spark - black just barely missed

keyboard Karl so the TAF later Brewer just mentioned

that this is a 0% AR lower they block of aluminum goes good it's a cookie that's

definitely it goes good no one in California knows it's still illegal in

California could be turned into a guy just thinking of it is having me illegal

thoughts you know right I have to give this to sur kisi and have them take it

to Nevada Nevada for Nia yeah we have found that the Diablo shape has

excellent ballistic properties we've shot slugs made out of multiple

materials everything from candy aluminum wood plastic using the Diablo shape and

they've all perform extremely well and by the way the a blow is a toy it

doesn't mean the devil okay I'm ready

one interesting thing that we found is that the hollow cavity in the tail of

the slug is unnecessary in a shotgun slug it's easy to understand that you

might need that cavity there for balance but it's completely unnecessary you

could actually get a heavier slug by just making it solid thick rim zinc slug

non-lead the Russians are environmentalists too

okay uh whenever you're ready Wow 1575 tactical cookie jar

are you ready all they found was a face down

we found that performance of these slugs very satisfactory but because they're

using such a light slug that gives them a lot of headroom it'd be very easy to

make high-performance powder loads with these slugs that would drive them to

1,800 to over 2,000 feet per second safely Jeff just put together a package

format at demolition ranch yeah he sent us a package of dirt box of dirt do you

wanted us to shoot don't be a wanker

okay box of dirt every it's a real crowd-pleaser I tell you everyone loves

box of dirt okay whenever you're ready one for kids but for kids slug pieces we

dug out of the dirt it went right through the box it hit on this side once

all would stop it and I I didn't think it would shatter this low that's real

Texas dirt though from demolition ranch that's the demo we could plant some

seeds in that and grow a in two days you can have a whole crop yeah corn feed a

nation a lot of kids in Africa that have been eating all of our other cast offs

so slug fractured you can see right here broke into three four little pieces the

tail end of that thing just kind of cracked right off slug fracture by the

way it would be an awesome name for a German punk band

smug fracture now our slugs shattered when it hit this

box of kind of wet dirt however my friend Alexi in Russia who has shot

these before has reported to me that if you shoot him into sand or other

materials like that you can actually pull the slugs out completely intact and

reload them again ok we have a we have a soaking wet owl sitting in a pool of

water ego so I was aiming for between the eyes

they've been consistently left here so it hit him right in the eye just right

beautiful now he's a Cottontail owl tough old bird just like Angela

Merkel but look at this this is what's cool right on this Oh

watch through your stainless steel plate so in right out the back so missus TFM

it's not gonna have this for next Thanksgiving yeah me through the

stainless steel frying pan or whatever that is automatic turkey drainage system

yeah so far we've only shot these at a pretty close range of less than 20 yards

the biggest reason for that is because the zoom on my high-speed camera is

pretty limited and we wanted to really observe the flight of the slug see how

it's actually behaving in transit since we had an entire box of ten shells that

allowed us to take a few shots at a further distance just to see how the

grouping is

okay how many he got left three three rounds so he's gonna shoot it at the

goat target down there try to try to keep the same point of aim so we see

what kind of grouping we get at 1500 YouTube yards yes or 35 American yards

yeah okay I'm ready when you are there you go holding just a little bit right

okay okay so from 35 yards away we have this six inch circle here I always hold

just a hair right because of all of our rounds have been drifting left and I'll

be damned if they didn't hit dead sooner there so you see the impact point sir

there's a lot of impacts yeah I need to repaint that really but Lee spell tell

pretty sure that's from the 460 you can feel those little divots everything else

is not bad not bad thanks mountain goats mountain goat yep I've only got some

contact information like a phone number physical address and an email address

for potential retailers to sell their product I think it'd be very cool to

have real Russian marked ammunition to shoot out your shotgun

we want to make content that is suitable to our viewers why should we care about

what's suitable to the advertisers or at least what YouTube thinks is suitable

for the advertisers because our content was always suitable for advertisers up

tool about a year ago your support on patreon will ensure that we can create

content that you want to watch instead of what YouTube thinks you should watch

thanks for watching

Melania Trump CLEARLY Despises Donald And Showed It At State Of The Union Address - Duration: 3:50.

During Donald Trump's State of the Union address Tuesday night, pretty much every republican

in that room really enjoyed everything that the President had to say.

And I say pretty much every republican because Melania Trump was having none of it.

Recent reports have shown us that Melania Trump is absolutely furious with her husband

over the Stormy Daniels, the adult film actress, the allegations of the affair that the two

had shortly after Melania gave birth to Barron and her anger and pretty much hatred for the

President of the United States was on full display during the State of the Union.

Take a look at this clip and see Melania's reaction when Donald Trump starts talking

about family and faith and God.

In America, we know that faith and family, not government and bureaucracy, are the center

of American life.

The motto is "In God we Trust".

All right, so several things to point out before we even get to Melania's like stoned

face, I hate you, so much reaction to her husband.

Steve Mnuchin, in that clip, looked like he was more excited than he's ever been in his

whole life and his body didn't even understand how to convey happiness.

Just that wooden plastered smile on his face, clapping like a child.

And then speaking of children, poor little Barron sitting there clapping his poor little

heart out for his father who's lying to the American public all night, but that kid's

just happy to be there, happy to see his dad up on stage and, wow, so much enthusiasm for

this guy who doesn't understand that his dad is destroying this country.

And then, of course, there's Melania.

Melania's expression looked like she hated every single thing about that man that was

speaking and clapping very loudly for himself at the podium.

She didn't want to be there.

In fact, she didn't even ride with the President to the State of the Union address.

They took two separate cars and it's not even like they left an hour apart, they went at

the same time, they were just in different cars 'cause she doesn't want to be around

him anymore.

I will be shocked if Melania Trump does not file for divorce before the end of Donald

Trump's first term as President of the United States.

She hates him and she may not be saying that publicly but the fact that she literally does

not want to be around him, canceled things on their trip to Switzerland so she didn't

have to be near him, didn't ride in the same car with him and then refused to give the

standing ovation that every other republican in that room was giving, that speaks volumes

about how this woman feels about the man that she married.

She can not stand him and I seriously doubt those two will be together by the 2020 elections.

Maybe not even by the 2018 midterms.

Auto news on Youtube Jan 31 2018

well alrighty good morning guys before we leave the great state of Arizona for a

while I stopped back in here in my favorite little dump station here in

Yuma then go ahead and top off the water don't need to dump the tanks but like to

have fifty eight gallons before we get too far into California also get gas

because I think gas prices are gonna jump 50 to 70 cents a gallon in

California so alright goodbye Arizona you are a beautiful spot and I'm glad I

got to see a lot of a lot of really neat good stuff happened in Arizona and

there's many more memories to make in other states as well so let's go for a

ride today guys Jax how excited are you for new adventures

cat excited okay

okay man here we go and see this blue sign coming up here on the right

welcome to California entering Pacific time

all right

California may not be one of the best states to move dog in because the big

cities but you know I'm gonna find Harvey friendly response it's just in my

nature we'll figure it out guys Jax we hit an

inspection station here hide the catnip hide the catnip Jax

I've got apples from Arizona Walmart Oh yep get it

so apparently apples from Arizona are okay but I don't know what they're I

don't know what they don't want flashbacks of route 66 rode here kind of

frontage road and what the heck do we have here this is the city of Felicia

felicity listen center of the world felicity

California I see all sorts of Flags Mexico Arizona Canada what do we have

here this is interesting so I love stopping at stuff that most people would

just buy pass on the highway and never look over did anybody even know that

felicity California is dubbed the official centre of the world I guess

yeah just kind of randomly out here in the middle of the Sonora Desert

so to mark it from the aerial I can't fly my drone here it says it's

restricted but there's a shot of what it looks like here and they do have a

museum look at the spiral staircase to nowhere there is a plaque I'll read it

to you right there it says escalier de origen Tour Eiffel

1889 well sitting down trying to get my bearings straight I'm not really sure

where the entrance is oh is it that way no you know what this is guys this is a

sundial this is a working this is a very unique one though I think that's

supposed to be a replica bust of Michelangelo's finger pointing from the

painting interesting so this has something to do with the French I don't

want to sit in they've got like an hour-long DVD you can watch but anyway

this is a tribute to like the French Legion stuff and that staircase that I

showed you that that is actually from the Eiffel Tower that's part of the

original staircase at the bottom of the Eiffel Tower brought over here to this

continent right here in the center of the world so so there's a lot of granite

put out here in the middle of the desert their pyramid an extra $5 to go inside

okay Wow Wow that's neat Oh somebody already paid and

left the door open so we can peek in for free cool

so all these banks the pyramids represent something else like this is

just the history of California and the history of Arizona on each side that one

across the way is for the Korean War so there's some older stuff here too

history of the United States of America 1776 now we're talking so these are all

laser engraved I guess they would have to be to withstand the heavy wind and

sand and the Sonora Desert is considered the one of the hottest places in the

country here it gets brutally brutally hot in this area of the desert

hey it's a Liberty Bell they're like what a smaller version replica of it at

least cool

but we'll head up to the church real quick the history of humanity

I guess that's still a work in progress oh so hot out here in the desert

Oh sometimes people watch some of my older videos like when I'm out in places

like these in the winter but they don't realize it they don't look at the date

they're like how could you be out there how could you leave Jack's in the RV

because it's 67 degrees out here in the winter oh yeah

you wouldn't find me in a place like this in the summer that's for sure

here's the church the church on the hill at felicity well I do like the blue

doors the maze of honor so it is a maze but I'm too short to see over I'm gonna

hold the camera over and see if you guys can see anything I don't know what it

symbolizes or anything but yeah wow this is a maze in well while more laser

inscribed dedications and stuff oh look here's the pet wall some kitty cats and

snakes and dogs

I'm really lost ah okay I made it alright let's get back

on the road I got an email from Walmart and Brawley my package is ready for

pickup there

we are literally on a highway built right over the Sonoran Desert that is

interesting I don't know if you can see that the

dust that we have blowing the sand over the highway

it's pretty neat well we're getting off the interstate

here I know Asha pendemonium was here a few weeks ago the Imperial sans dune

Recreation Area popular spot for ATVs he'll go right up in here but you need a

permit of some kind and to use it and camp overnight

so I pulled off here in a nice little shady spot you know non-fee area a free

area of the dunes this is a historical site that I'm at here we'll go walk over

here I know this is hard to see but if you want to pause it there on the plaque

and read it it says plank road 1914 to 1927 this is a replica here that you can

stand to walk but if we look up here there's part of the original remaining

we'll go get a little closer here I read a little bit of the board back there and

it says that this plank was built out here in the desert in the early 1900s to

lure people from Los Angeles to San Diego as a nicer Road than the desert ok

really windy out here guys but but there you go

so planks and steel almost like railroad ties all the way up hmm so this is going

to be my my pitstop guys my spot I'm here at the Walmart in Brawley

California and it may be some time before I see another Walley world here

so got a stock up because I need TP for my bunghole

and groceries and another little tip here like I said I'm picking up my anti

wobbler I could not find that device at Tractor Supply in fact they have no idea

what I'm talking about at Tractor Supply when I say an anti wobbler for the hitch

no idea not even in their catalog but I did a search on Walmart just out of the

blue and had like 9 results and two of the nine anti wobblers are eligible for

free store delivery so I use the Walmart pickup services a lot on the road

especially if I know where I'm gonna be in the next four to six days that's what

I did and so I go in show my ID they scan the

barcode on my phone that says order pickup since I already pay with my debit

card it's just an quick in-and-out to pick it up and so I'll go do that and do

my shopping and then once I get parked for the night at the campground I'll

install that and show you the difference okay interesting a lot has happened this

afternoon that I was not planning on but everything is awesome right now

because I was waiting for Angela we were gonna go to the campground together from

here and so I just decided you know what the heck I'm gonna take all the bill of

sale and the title and odometer and everything over to the DMV here in

Brawley California and just see what happens and I gotta be honest with you

guys it was easy it was so much better than

Washington you have no idea how lucky you are and I know people complain from

California about the DMV's ridiculous rules and stuff but come on the only way

this would have got done for me in Washington state because the odometer

read it they don't accept what what Californians do for the odometer

verification you can't print the form and they won't mail you the form you

have to go to an office and get it printed on their special boid proof

paper then you got to fly back to California with a notary sit down with

the previous owner sign it get it notarized and then hand-deliver that

back to Washington State that's the only way I can get it titled and registered

in Washington State so now I'm good through July that it's already in my

name it already has California plates so I don't have to get new plates it's

already past emissions last year so I have now till July to put it to put it

in Washington state plates so they're mailing the title back to Washington

State we'll be there in three weeks I just need to take the title in and to

get motorcycle plates are there but that was just so darn easy I'm so glad I

stopped in so a little little later than I planned though now it's four o'clock

and Angela doesn't want to go to the campground I'm gonna go see her anyway

and we'll we'll plan we'll go from here because I really dodged a bullet with

getting it transferred in my name in California instead of Washington whoo

geez could today be any better of a day I am they just in a fantastic mood I

called up Geico and switched the policy over to the new bike and the premium

didn't change didn't even change which kind of surprises me it's the same exact

annual premium so and there was one concern because now Geico is worried

that my bike is is double insured which you can't do with them but I was trying

to explain it in a way because the RV full timers insurance that I

it covers anything on the RV so if I were towing a car it wouldn't count but

because it's up on the hitch I have an extra $3,000 replacement insurance

policy on the RV which includes the bike itself that doesn't work on the road

obviously but if somebody ran into me when I was parked or if a tree fell or

something like that so anyway it's all good I already printed off my ID cards

with my printer on board 100% good to go so and there's the anti wobbler in this

box here I'll just show you what's going on I think I already showed this stand

back here see this see all that play that's not this that's just the wiggle

room between where the hitch goes into the receiver that's how you're getting

all of this wobble so that's why you need one of these and they're hard to

find but like I said they are available at Walmart and if you're carrying

anything on the back of your RV or truck or something you might want one after

you see how well this works so I'll put a link below in the video description

for this Walmart version which they ship to your house or site to store all

righty got her all installed there it is preventing wobble that's what it's doing

so they can put my foot on it still show you guys so it's moving a lot less

there's still some shake but it's in the hitch as strongly as it can get and I'm

happy with it what more can you ask for one of the thing I want to talk about is

the lights not blocked right not blocked over here

you know what partially blocked by the tire so I mean a license plate no matter

what is not going to be blocked but see how get farther back here so I got a

plan to fix that too what I'm gonna do is get some exterior lights the ones

that hook you into the connections down here and then I'll mount them here on

the corners of this next to the tire right here the ones with the signal turn

signals and the brake lights and the running lights and all that

just to make sure so I'm gonna start looking at Amazon tonight for those

because I didn't realize that the tire technically is kind of blocking some of

the visuals of this until then I will do all of my turn signals out the window

and brake lighting out the window just to make sure because California is weird

and they might be kind of picky about that so anyway guys have a good night

Jax and I are gonna be back on the road with some new adventures here to come in

a couple days have a good night okay

What You Need To Know: New California Labor Code Section 218.7 - Duration: 11:31.

Ernest C. Brown: Last October, California Governor Jerry Brown approved a major new

change to California's labor code.

It's Section 218.7.

For all California construction contracts signed after January 1, 2018, general contractors

will be directly responsible for the wages owed to workers of their subcontractors at

any tier.

This is a substantial change to California labor law.

In the past, only a first-tier subcontractor had contract rights of action against the

general.

The mechanic's lien stopped notice and bond laws only provided indirect rights of action

against the property, the amounts owed the contractor or surety.

And those rights have pretty quick time limits and rigorous procedural protections.

The new law was designed to crack down on subs who pay workers off the books, withhold

benefits and properly categorized employees as independent contractors, or otherwise,

shortchange their paychecks.

My name is Ernest Brown, and for the last 38 years, I've been a construction lawyer

in California and a licensed professional civil engineer.

I've worked on a lot of the largest projects in California including Santa Ana's John Wayne

Airport, which is about 300 million at that time, and the Carquinez Bridge, which connects

Highway 80 between San Francisco and Sacramento.

Joining me today is Paul Rodriguez.

Paul is the regional managing director of Aon Corporation based in Los Angeles, heading

up their construction group.

Aon is a leading global professional firm providing a broad range of risk, health and

retirement solutions, but they have particular strengths in the construction industry.

And Paul, thank you for being here today.

Paul Rodriguez: Thanks, Ernest.

Ernest C. Brown: I wanted to start with a brief overview of the changes to Section 218.7,

this new section of the labor code.

The California Labor Commissioner is empowered now to bring an action under specified statute

or a civil action to enforce the liability of a contractor to pay their subcontractors,

employees.

The third party owed fringe or other benefits of a joint labor-management cooperation committee,

can also bring a civil action to enforce the liability against the direct contractor under

these provisions.

Generally, the contractor will not be liable for penalties, but they will generally for

interest, and in some instances, they also are reliable for attorney's fees or expert

witnesses.

Unfortunately, if they win, they don't get theirs.

It's not supposed to be enforced for a political subdivision of the state of California or

their employees.

We interpret this to mean it applies to private, not public works.

However, the language of the statute is not especially clear.

We think it may also exempt, or I should say in this case, apply to federal projects.

It follows the use of the term direct contractor, which is used in mechanic's lien law, Section

8018 and 8046, in place of what most contractors call the general contractor.

So it applies to a contractor in direct privity with the owner.

There's also a substantial new burden on private work subcontractors.

The subcontractor must now provide specific information regarding the subcontractors and

the third party's work on the project including payroll records.

Under Section I, the subcontractor needs to provide the project name, subcontractor's

address, the lower-tier subcontractor's information, the direct contractor they're working for,

and the start date duration of the project as well as the expected labor hours for the

job.

If there's a dispute about getting these records, it allows the general contractor to withhold

payment under certain circumstances.

This is well beyond the current requirement that a subcontractor provide information on

any unpaid labors, which is required under mechanic's lien law Section 8104.

This is similar to certified payrolls on state and local public works and federal jobs.

The bill would provide that these obligations and remedies are an addition to any other

remedy provided by law.

Perhaps the most important and frightening aspect of this new law is the statute of limitations.

The general contractor can be sued for up to a year after completion of the project

or cessation of labor.

The law does allow contractors to insert indemnity contract into their agreements with sub contracts,

and they can also require a bond of subcontractors for these obligations at any tier.

So Labor Code 2018.7 provides a great deal of financial risk to their contractors and

their sureties that we did not have before January 1st of this year.

Paul, what are the sureties in the insurance industry saying about this bill?

Paul Rodriguez: Well, Ernest, that you're exactly right.

There's certainly a watchful eye and concern around the ramifications of this new law to

not only their construction and general construction clients but their subcontract clients.

And this bill extends into the developer and home builder industries as well.

So, it touches a number of areas where the surety industry as well as the insurance industry

has exposure.

To begin with, they look at this law and trying to mitigate the risk as best as you can, because

ultimately, what was intended for a smaller group of constituents, with a specific set

of concerns, has broader ramifications and unintended consequences.

So the sureties and the insurance companies have put together good guidance for the contractor

clients and have collaborated with them really again, because it's early days around this

new law looking at three specific areas where there is control to be able to get ahead of

these issues.

At the end of the day, the insurance companies and the sureties, first word of advice is,

you work with legal counsel whether inside or outside to make sure that your contracts

are right.

Ernest C. Brown: I think there's going to be a lot of work for lawyers and sureties

from this law without question.

Paul Rodriguez: Absolutely.

If you look at the areas within a contract that have to be reviewed and potentially modified,

you look at things like set-off rights, indemnity and defense provisions within a contract,

performance security requirements, and the bond forms potentially that are already required,

and making sure that they align with the statute of limitations.

In many cases, you see a 90-day period on a traditional bond form around claimant issues.

This goes out a year.

So things like that where a contractor can look at their contracts and try to make sure

that they're trying to really quantify the risk that they have and work to put good language

out there that protects their interests.

Secondly, it's around subcontractor pre-qualification and then processes around payroll verification,

whether making sure that certified payroll, or looking at things, like, what sort of documentation

you're acquiring from a union standpoint to make sure that you do have validation, that

payment has been made, and all benefits have been applied around a certain project.

This only heightens the need, and as we've seen in the construction industry over the

last 10 years, the need to ensure that you're properly pre-qualifying your subcontractors,

making sure you're using best-in-class subs, and really, not so much the first-tier subs

that in many cases are very large organizations, but as you go down a level or three levels,

making sure that you're dealing with reputable firms with good processes in place.

So, we expect that the questions that come in during a tender period or an RFQ, an RFP

about a potential firm, well, the questions around subcontractor usage and the quality

of the subs are going to be heightened, and frankly, their financial strength.

Because ultimately, many of these issues ultimately come down to the paying power of that subcontractor

with their employees.

Lastly, using tools such as surety bonds or other performance security mechanisms, whether

it's liquid to security and letters of credit or cash, looking at retention, and using those

as ways to potentially mitigate a potential concern, or other vehicles such as subcontractor

to fault insurance.

Again, a product that wasn't really intended to cover this type of risk, and looking, is

there a way to potentially modify the terms and conditions of that policy to provide some

coverage or some oversight and protection, again, in a catastrophic situation.

Lastly, around traditional risk transfer mechanisms in the insurance industry, a very challenging

solution to try to put together, because a traditional insurance product was not intended

to cover these types of obligations.

And frankly, because of the frequency or lack thereof and having scale around a specific

event, the ability to aggregate the risk properly and apply premium becomes a challenge.

And truly, to quantify what that risk looks like from an insurance perspective makes it

very difficult to "insure."

Ernest C. Brown: So, then, the underwriters are going to have a bit of a challenge as

well.

Paul Rodriguez: Absolutely.

Ernest C. Brown: It's great.

Well from the legal standpoint, what we see is it will take a while to develop a law in

this area.

We don't have any cases yet.

We don't have regulations.

But things like the extent of the fringe benefits, what does that cover?

How broadly does that go?

That has been a question.

As well as the extent that subcontractors employees, how about those offsite or manufacturing

facilities that may be creating something for this project or for others?

And finally, the issue of whether or not you can have just a completely new type of risk

emerge from this, because it's such a new statute.

Did you really know what may occur, what we'll call the unknowns with regard to the statute?

But I do conclude with something I've said to Paul and his company over the years and

our clients, just a very simple little list of things to think about in this area, write

a good contract that it takes into account this new risk of employee defaults on wages

and fringe benefits.

Handle problems promptly when you think that the subcontractors, the wages are not being

paid properly, or fringes are looking a little bit different than what you expect.

Handle it at the time it comes up.

Ensure the major risks, and that includes getting surety bonds where you think you need

them.

Certainly, the most important thing is, probably, select the best subcontractors and of any

tier as well, making sure that they're financially viable, solvent, and are going to obey the

law with regard to labor and employment rules.

Keep good records, which are going to be essential to basically be able to indemnify yourself

from these subcontractors as they evolve.

And frankly, the final one is, yell for help, and you've got a great surety opportunity

here to call Aon and our firm if you do have questions in this area.

So again, Paul, thanks for coming today and sitting down with us to talk about this new

issue.
