My name is Kenton Zerbin and I teach courses on sustainable living and tiny homes.
Tiny Homes are a fantastic option for housing for a wide diversity of situations – affordable
living, light footprint living, sustainable living, plus one suites… you name it.
What do you want out of your life and how can a tiny house help you achieve that?
What is your motivation for going tiny?
Ahh, the sustainability aspect of it.
To work less and live more.
A sustainable sort of lifestyle that is big on minimalism.
They are pretty darn cute!
Hahaha!
This 2.5 day course trains people how to design and build a tiny house.
We go over lots of different things like legalities, and utilities, and how to design a house for the
and how to design a house for the cold climate.
But at the end of this course people are grounded in the nuts and bolts of how to build and
live in one of these houses so it is a reflection of them, their priorities, and is well suited
for their climate.
How are you enjoying the course so far?
Oh, I love the course.
It's awesome!
First of all, Kenton is amazing.
And so knowledgeable.
I have learned so much already and I'm getting to meet people that have the same passions
and interests that I do.
I love it!
Its so much funnnnn!
Hahaha!
It's been really good – its awesome!
The people are fun, Kenton is amazing.
He is very knowledgeable with teaching his stuff and stuff that he's learned and stuff
that he's trialed and errored and saved from a lot of mistakes.
Take the course!
He's amazing, he's funny, he's engaging, and he knows so much.
There is a lot to know.
There is a lot to "dos and donts"… me and my wife did design and build our own tiny
house and have been living it for a year and half.
And as a teacher of sustainable living, I can help other people speed track their dreams
to living [in] and owning a tiny house.
How would you describe your teacher for others who are considering taking this course?
Aww, Kenton's awesome.
He's got very straightforward concepts, doesn't mind if you ask questions.
It seems like he's just talking to you in a class of 20 people.
Yeah, he's definitely very passionate and energetic.
Lots of experience as a teacher which really helps.
Amazing.
He is really helpful with questions and going in depth into things that are important and
letting you know things that are not important.
And step by step processes and things you wouldn't even think about.
