so guess what I think the house is haunted let me just
give it to you just like I see it happening okay the reason why I say that
this house is haunted every now and then I will be working here at my iMac and
there'll be a tiny little black insect just flitting around I can see it but
bay then can't see it Hayden believes me about the little insect that's flying
about so I'm left doing this all the time
trying to catch this insect that's bothering me and it only happens once
and I look out to the windows and there's nothing on the windows and
granted we have some plants in the house two of them don't require watering all
the time so nothing really grows in there but we did have to rescue an
African Daisy that had not had the chance to thrive because an overzealous
neighbor who was just being helpful chopped off what it had tried to grow
during the summer ah that poor poor plant just before the first frost I
decided you know what I'll ask baden because Nathan loves
African Daisy so do you want the African Daisy yes so I put it in a pot and it's
there but it doesn't have any insect so where is this insect coming from to bug
me I don't want to look like a crazy person I look like a crazy person anyway
but you know what are you going to do pool gets haunted by an insect only me I
would be the person who's haunted by like some insect does that even make any
sense to be haunted by an insect why don't I get a respectable ghost and how
long does this insect live for it's been a week now it's not like suddenly
there's you know a bunch of insects that are flying around in the house and it's
Canada it's cold now if it should not be flying herd that's why I say it's a
instead anyway and it flits around so fast I can't capture an image I don't
know how to be like oh there it goes let me find out and I go to look at the
windows and there's nothing there honestly like a crazy person I'm haunted
by an insect really I need a respectable ghost if you've got one in your house

get my cup of tea and beacon I welcome back to my channel it is day 21 of
NaNoWriMo i participating which is why i have so many videos coming up every
single day cuz i'm vlogging and vlogging my experience through NaNoWriMo i did
not add any more words to my writing yesterday so i have nothing to update
you in and i haven't written a single word it's for 19 last night what
happened was i had to do some developmental work i tried to sort out
what it is that i've understood about the things that I'm learning if you do
not know I do not have an English literature degree I want to write
stories because I have a vivid imagination and I just want to tell
people about it I want to go look what's in my brain isn't that crazy
whenever I learned something and right now this big thing that is occupying my
life is writing scenes and I have a spreadsheet where I track them trying to
understand what it is I'm trying to accomplish with this particular scene
after writing a few scenes I needed to sit back with them and examine them for
what they are this is not something you're supposed to do during NaNoWriMo
so I've kind of gone the rebel route I don't know whether I can call it
unfortunate is it unfortunate I don't think so whenever you are bringing the
power of your story back into being powerful I don't see that that is very
wrong now what it means of course is that my word count is suffering I am
still on track spreadsheet time I am still on track to getting 60,000
words final word count with current word average I will get 56,000 201 words even
if I don't write any words today that is what my spreadsheet tells me that I will
get at the end of the month I had a conversation with myself today about
what it is that I need to do if I actually want to meet this goal because
as a result of doing some scene examination and recognizing the fact
that my story had gone kind of wonky in a direction it didn't need to go because
I didn't do prep Tober I have had to go back to some of these scenes and rewrite
them in order to get them facing in the direction that I need them to face it is
a science fiction thriller that is what I'm trying to write and it means that
the tension gets heightened with every chapter every scene it means that my
main character is constantly looking for the solution to the original problem to
the shit that happened to her at the beginning of the story so that is the
second thing that I've been thinking about the third thing and I'm not
calling anyone out their name my parents are very conservative and they would
describe themselves as such they are conservative so what happens when you
write a story about a character that your conservative parents wouldn't
particularly like because I want them to be able to read the story and enjoy it
but what happens when you are dealing with issues that are challenging for
people with a conservative mindset do you ever struggle with presenting your
work to your parents I will get on with it if I need a few words today even if I
get just 200 words that is fine I don't really mind I'm still on track I will go
and write and if I have anything to update you with later I promise you I
will bring the updates but I may not because it is late and there's dinner
there's the gym there's I hope that NaNoWriMo
is going swimmingly for you one of the things that happened to me every single
NaNoWriMo before this is that I was not on track with my words and I get so
discouraged like what is the point and I give up because you
I'm not going to meet the word-count if you haven't had the opportunity to get
to a place where you believe you can finish 50,000 words at the halfway mark
how many words did you have double that let that be your goal because it can be
so discouraging to have this goal that you know you're not going to reach and
looking at it and thinking I'm going to have to write 8,000 words a day in order
to get to that point and 8,000 words a day I know for some people is really
easy for me that would be tough especially with this project where I
have averaged spreadsheet time I have averaged 1,873 words a day it is what it
is so I just have to keep plowing on and I encourage you to plow on as well
because guess what the world needs your story I want to read your story alright
