Hello everybody, this is my review of LEGO Classic's Creative Box
The ID number is 10704 and it has 900 pieces. I picked this up at Walmart on Black Friday
So yeah, let's jump into it
I laid out all the pieces based on their individual colors, but I did build a few of the
suggested builds in the included inspiration guide
So we'll look at those in a minute
I did want to show you, give you a better look at what's in here. This the yellow and orange
Category is just regular bricks. Not that many special ones. This is a curved piece
But overall these are just some pretty standard bricks
This- the brown category- there are some pretty interesting
ones with textures and
Like archways, there's a lot of these archways in this one
But a lot of these special pieces went into one of the builds that you will see. The Pink/purple one-
I didn't explore much but I did find some cool textured pieces
And some round tiles. I don't have a lot of round tiles already. So those are pretty nice
I
Again did use quite a few of the gray and white ones
But there are still quite a few left. These horn ones are
Interesting. They have a
Strange look to them. I don't see how I would practically use this in most of my builds, but it is in
One of the inspired build that I did use today
from, again, the book
So this is the black and gray category. There are some interesting pieces
Like I don't know what this is called, but I know what it's used for
This is and I antenna piece
There's a lot of wheels and tires in this as you'll see later on
This is the greens. I don't think there's anything much to note here
There's these again, I don't know what these are called, but these are some good pieces
These are more round tiles. I mentioned there's a lot of round tiles in this set
Yeah, so this is the blue category here
Yeah, that's blue. There's a lot of shades of blue
and
Again, not much noteworthy here and not much noteworthy about the red
There were some cool pieces in the red category
But I used them again in one of the builds, which we'll see in a second
There were some interesting pieces that I did want to point out individually
first the transparent ones, these are
Cool pieces I really like the aesthetic of these ones
These blue the shades of blue. I really like it. I wish there were more but you know, they had their limits.
I am kind of confused as to why these are
They put one by ones instead of two by ones like this for the purple color
That's a little weird, but just go with it
One thing that's interesting about these is that they they're hollow on the inside and if you see like a normal Lego brick like this
One they have tubes on the inside. So they're hollow so that you can actually you know
They're actually transparent and you can see through them so that it is an interesting construction
Another thing I wanted to point out was the abundance not abundance
But there were quite a few windows and doors in this set. And I always love those. I don't seem to have that many
One thing I don't like though is some of the color choices
I mean, I'm okay with this but the weird the fact that they used green and
Yellow, I don't like the choice of color. I really wish they'd chosen something like white or black
This I'm fine with this is a nice aesthetic. I like this, but these are kind of
Off-putting. I mean I could see myself using this with
a white frame and green windows, but I definitely can't see myself
using this practically
Okay, so with that let's get into the builds that came that
Came with this. So there are three levels of these build ideas
there's the basic there's the medium and there's the hard so I tried one from each level and then I tried from one of the
online ones
so my basic level one was this remote control car, so it was a car and
A remote control. This was a really simple build it took like a minute
But yeah, it has functional wheels
It's, like I said, very basic
But it does its job. It has a nice aesthetic. It's okay. Okay build
My medium level one was a sailboat, which is right here
This has a really nice aesthetic. I do like it
Especially with uh, I don't know what it's called with the mast
The thing that holds the mast I'm not good with this kind of terminology, but I do like the aesthetic of this one. I really
What more is there to say I just I just think it looks cool
Yeah, there's not much to say, because these are very simple builds. My hard level build was this red?
dragon thing I
Really really thought that this was pretty cool
I
Found a use for these I guess. I don't know
But it's a cool enough build. It's good for small children
It's not too advanced, but it's advanced enough. It has a nice
Nice look especially with the front with the dragon. I think it turned out pretty well. So
Now we have the online build. I went to LEGO's website and downloaded a PDF of the
Instructions for this one for free. It worked well
Yeah, so for this one, I really like the aesthetic of this one. It is a really cool
Simplistic, yet gets the point across, build. It's not a minifigure scale, but I still think it makes for a nice display
very Christmas-esque display
What more is there to say? I really like the look of it. I really enjoy how it's all snow-capped and everything
It's fun. It looks great
Normally, I would I would have dismantled some of these and I probably will dismantle some of these, so I can use the parts but
I overall think these are some pretty good sets
This is a pretty good set with some cool pieces and some nice builds included. I would totally recommend it
And yes, that would have been my review
