Welcome everybody. I'm Mason Taylor
It's such an honor and a privilege for me to be here with you undergoing this this experience that I've created here for you now
What are we gonna actually be getting up to here now? I've laid out the structure of this course to
Really give you the ability to lay down
the
Fundamentals of health in your life so that we can really get out of this
This I guess we're on like this donkey chase in the carrot kind of business the lion in life and in health
It's been going on for a long time. You know, we've been on this very
Intellectual external pursuit to discover. What health is now
There's a lot of conditioning there from our upbringing
from just from a bunch of things from the culture that we live in and I've designed this course so primarily
What we are going to do is we're going to be going in and making key
distinctions in health
insights bringing awarenesses from within you up to the surface so you can get some context for
Approaching this health journey from a place that's going to be unique to you
Effective for you know more of this like here just take this system
Just take this dogmatic diet and just trust me you're gonna get the results
I'm not about that and I think if you're here listening to this and watching this, you're not about that either
So first of all, we've got to start asking
What is this ambiguous health thing that I'm talking about that everyone's talking about?
You know quite often we we ask this question and we are don't know like it's like having energy and having vitality
I don't know like, you know having hormonal hormonal stuff not not like fluctuating throughout us, you know, sending our emotions flipping
Everyone's got a different answer is what I'm trying to say. I
want to bring forward just through my
observations in you know, I've been walking this health path for a while now and
What I observe is
You know after milk my years like getting into the infinitive the martial art world
Taoist practices through the yogic world as well
I start to see these similarities of the way that these healthy cultures and these cultures who had health practices
ensconced into their daily life and lifestyle
There were some similarities there now
We glorify that in our culture a little bit, you know
A lot of people say we're gonna go back to the way it was back to you know
Like some people I go back to the Paleolithic era
You know back to the way it was when the Taoist were living in the hills. I'm not about going back
I'm about us going forward together possibly drawing on some wisdom from our ancestors. So
The key distinction I'll use the Taoist as a as an example here when they were approaching health
They were in a pure say prevention model
They didn't have this their bodily systems their cellular matrix their hormones
the nervous system out of whack all the time and therefore they didn't have this excessive amount of
Degenerative disease, so it was really not that prevalent at the time
You know, we've where and we live in a culture where we're starting to accept that degenerative diseases cancer
Arthritis stroke heart disease. These are just norms and that's what's gonna be taking us out
It wasn't it wasn't so back then and and for the human for us humans
We we know we kind of know that that's not a normal
way to approach life and especially
Approach aging and then if it brings about this this fear of getting old because we know we're going to come down and start
degenerating and the some of the you know, the joy and the
the vitality and that lust for life might diminish at some point with that so
because these
Daoists had a culture that allowed them to maintain
balance
constantly and consistently
With the way that they approach their health system. I
Bring this into relevance in my life. You know, I grew up doing martial arts with my father Japanese jiu-jitsu
And there was one move in the whole in LA in the dojo is constantly one move is called tai sabaki
And the philosophy in essence of tai sabaki
Was if some pressure or stress gets pushed upon you then you take as little or as many steps as you need
to come back into a place of safety and
balance and
so the way that you would move across the floor and then that would come out into the way that you lived your life and
The way that I live my life is that I will take steps to get into the place of safety and balance
Consistently adapting to my environment to any stresses and it was only then when you find that safety and that balance then do you?
strike out
Only then do you strike out that striking out can be seen as our ability to be creative
Go on an adventure in life
Actually get out there and experience the joys of this world in this unique life that we are each living
from that place of safety and balance
Now a lot of people in our culture and I've been there as well back in the days
My adrenals were absolutely shocked. I had fungus growing out of my arms, and I was just exhausted
I wasn't imbalanced and I did not feel safe in my body did not feel safe. My immune system was not at a point
Where I felt like yeah
You know what?
I can really I can feel that I'm gonna be able to handle any pathogenic onslaught that comes at me
You know now it's different
I'll be talking to you about
immunity and this kind of the practices that can you can
Bring into your life in your own personal culture to have you feel that safety consistently
But when we talk about health in the world West generally this is what people are talking about
they're talking about coming back to a state of feeling safe and
Feeling balanced within their own body and within their own life
now we've kind of normalized this state when we're out of balance and out of safety and then all of a sudden some big
symptom comes up or a disease comes up, you know and
We're like, okay great. That can be a good wake-up call. But generally the way we approach is like IRA
Let's do some practices just slap the bandaid on so that that symptom goes away and then our culture
unfolds like that, and we get the
We're we're not engaged with our health and our lives on a daily basis on a consistent basis
So the roots of those health practices and distinctions and inspirations, they're not in
Bedded into our culture the skills and those insights and that knowing wisdom and that bodily perception
It isn't ensconced into our education system or into the way that generally a lot of us
Have been raised and so we haven't had that opportunity a lot of the time and so I want to stay here
Yes, we are going to be bringing in practices for like the many of you here, you know, possibly, you know
Like there's there's been a health crisis or something to arise up and bang you're up. You know light bulb goes off
I need to do some shit here and actually get myself back on path
Now this of course is going to be designed to bring you back into that place of safety
Bring you back into that place of balance making distinctions there. But however the way that I see health. It isn't just about that
I mean, we're kind of getting back to the that's the foundation so that we can then go out and explore and
potentiate evolve our body and really get on this adventure for life because it
Help doesn't just stop at that point where we're just like don't have a disease or don't have the symptoms anymore
It goes beyond that like the Daoists, you know when they were when they weren't having degenerative diseases and you know
They weren't sick and they weren't tired how they were out in the mountains
exploring looking for herbes
Exploring their inner energetics they were in that you know in that well, I was talking about with the jujitsu, you know
You get safe balance, then you strike out now. We're in that place of striking out exploring being creative consistently and constantly
Because they had that balance in that safety
Now we're going to absolutely get back to that place of laying that foundation
And then everything that we're going to be talking about through nourishing ourselves through the elements
You know through the immunological practices they are then going to flow into that place where?
Beyond just coming back into balance
We're going to be able to use them to really express ourselves, you know
Really evolve ourselves and just see kind of how good it can get
Really? That's kind of what it's all about
get the thing how good it can get seeing how able able and
Capable the foundation of our health can become so that then you know, I like alright. Hang on a second
I've I've like I've innately got this hormonal balance in this energy
I know how to relax my nervous system the vitality. Is there pulsing through me and
This is this is the essence of it
Feeling your body
Feeling that you're safe in your body not needing to rely on
not like an institution coming and telling you what it's like for you to how you're gonna have to heal or
How you're going to have to live because you've got the perception and the knowing of it and that's that's what this course is about
We're gonna return to that place. You know, what is health?
Okay
Let's kind of like return to that place and then health goes beyond that your unique journey your unique body
expressing itself
That's what health is to me
So in these next videos that are coming up
This is the context we're going to be coming up and we're going to be coming from I
Really want you to take some time now to sit down with that distinction
You know feel into and do I feel safe and balanced in my body and just start speculating. We write this down
Where do I do? I not feel safe. Okay, what comes up write that down?
Where do I feel out of balance and that could this can be in your emotions your mental state your physical state and your life?
Your relationships take some time
I take at least 20 minutes and you're we're gonna have some notes there, you know
Just to just to ground this in but take that on and this is going this distinction this inner wisdom
This is going to be really take the the glass ceiling off. What we perceive is possible when it comes to our health
