I'm with FL Models Management. And how I got signed with them...
I was previously signed with Tann Model Management and after ending working with them
Right on the next day after that I was thinking that I need to start looking for another agency
I got a message from Vika (manager from FL Models)
I thought it must be fate and it really was :)
Because I'm happy with them 100%
So, that's how I've started working with FL
And I've been working with them for about 4-6 months already
My first work tip was to Hong Kong. And it was the most amazing experience I've ever had
I was signed with the best agency. Primo Model Management
And this agency is still the best on local market
They really treat so well all of the models
Pocket money are good, there are many jobs
Many interesting good events
What else... Apartment. Everyone knows thatapartments in HK usually aren't good at all
But Primo Models' apartments are OK too
If something will go wrong with models' health or smth bad accidentally happens
Agency's team always ready to help
Everything was great during that trip and really loved the city
The negative thing was that I went there during summer time
And there weren't as many jobs as I wanted there to be, but it was OK
And I've learned English there. So those who need to learn English language (go to HK)
Because you can't work in Europe if you don't know English
There's no point in going there like that.
So, HK is perfect for learning English. I'm happy
OK, I'd like to say few words about foor in HK for sure
It's really important to pay attention to what you're eating there
Because, not only I've been eating lots of junk food and sweets
And yeah, I really only ate fast food, sweets...
egg tarts.... If someone have been to Asia you know what egg tart is
It's kinda strange sweet egg and it's really delicious
So, I've only been eating those things
And onyl by the end of my trip I've realized that
First of all, people are able to gain weight. I've just never gained weight before that...
And I've been eating McDonalds all the time OMG
Their menu has been updating all the time
I was an idiot I don't know why I've done that
Yeah... And you know there are options of healthy food there as well
Lots of fruits, smoothies...
So, if you'll eat fresh fruits, avocadoes there, you'll definitely be fit
And will get all of the vitamins and nutrients etc
So, my advice to those who's going to Hong Kong
Don't eat crappy food
And please pay attention to your diet
Because it really affects your career
What else can I say about Hong Kong... I was shocked only in a positive way
I've never seen such buildings before
I've never seen anything like that... It's like a NYC
With a slight Chinese tint
So
What about the jobs... My first shoot there was kinda extreme
We've been shooting winter collection
on location when it was + 33 C
It was my first ever shoot and I was like: why, why?
Why are we shooting right now under the hot sun
And I also had one more funny shoot, it was an advertisment
For some Halloween event I guess
They've only shot the bottom part of mine, only my legs
It was super strange because all of the attention was focused on my legs
They've painted blood on my legs
I wore red high heels
Some guy had been running after me with the saw... lol
So, they've asked me to put my leg like this, I was just doing what I've been told and waiting 'till it's done lol
Have you earned money on your first trip, did you cover the "minus"?
Yeah, but a little bit
I realise that fashion market is HK isn't bad
But I was there in such an unfortunate time
It was June, July and August
And I've been there just a little bit in September
And exactly in September everything's started working out really well
And then...
July and August in HK
It's like a Holiday - chill -like time
Yes, there are people who works well all year long
But I wasn't that lucky
It was my first ever work trip and it was summer, so...
And that trip was organized by your first Mother Agency - Tann, right?
- Yes, right. - But overall you were happy about this trip how everything turned out?
Yes, I was extremely happu about that experience
I've gained some weight in Hong Kong
It was the first time in my life when I've gained weight
So, genetically I have that type of body that I can eat a lot but I normally don't gain weight at all
But in HK I've been constantly eating looots of food just for pleasure when I wasn't hungry
I haven't even thougth about it... Like why not eating 3 muffins in a row
OK, who cares
So, I've been eating like this...
Then I've gained some weight but I thought it's OK
But it's OK for a regular person not for the model (because we need to fit in certain measurements)
So, what about my weight loss hourney
I came back home and by that moment I didn't know anything about weight loss at all
And I've just tried everything I saw in the internet
OK, the diet when you're eating the buckwheat for the whole day
OK, I can do that: 1 day eating buckwheat, 1 day eating apples and then I'll lose weight, alright... But it doesn't work this way
Then I've tried
Just
Just some kind of fasting... Then counting calories, doing some sports...
But the only thing that has really helped me was...
Oh, btw there was a time when I simply went crazy
and have started weighting all of the food that I've eaten, just everything
Carrots, cucumber, I've literally weighten just everything
It was terrible. And I've been yelling at my mom, my brother
I was like: why are you eating chocolate, why are you eating this
because I don't eat it and etc
Yeah, it was awful. But after that period I've realised that
First of all, intuitive eating is the best. So, I
try not to overeat and not feel hungry
So, when I want to eat, I eat. The most important thing is
to eat healthy food
Because when you start reading the labels of junk food, chocolate and all that stuff
You see so many terribal chemical ingredients
And I believe it destroys your body the same way as alcohol and cigarettes
If you constantly will be eating bad food
It will be as bad for your body as many other things
OK, then
active lifestyle. I've started walking everytwhere, became more active
If it will take 30 minutes, I will walk during 30 minutes
So, being active plus quite healthy diet this is what helps losing weight
And if you really really need to lose weight any way
Calorie counting really helps
So, you choose your daily calorie intake, like for example 1 000 calories a day
And if you'll be eating 1 000 calories a day during one week
you'll lose weight for 100%
OK, my daily menu... It's quite hard to exlain
There aren't many products that I love actually
I really love peanut butter. And I know it's really high in calories, but I still enjot eating it anyways
Peanut butter, bananas, apples
Oats.... What else
I really really love various crackers, bakery....
I do love it but try not to eat it too often
Now it's summer time and I eat lots of watermelons
So, I've realised that I don't really have like a system... You know like having for lunch
first meal, second meal, third meal etc
It doesn't work for me at all
I like having like toast with peanut butter and banana....
fruits...
What else... When my brother orders a pizza
we can eat some pizza together
You know I prefer more like snacking that having proper meals
So, you just listen to your body. - Yes
So you just eat what you want at the moment
Yes, exactly. For example, yesterday night
I've realized that I haven't had any proper food during the day because I wasn't hungry and I was busy working
But I feel like I want smth sweet at night
I have some candy, so I will eat a candy
And it won't be like... I'll start cooking smth... It's not like that
It's more like. What do I want at the moment: do I want smth sweet or do I want smth savour
It always varies like that
And when you're finding this balance you realise that you constantly fit in your measurements
And when you restrict yourself in someway, for example, like I did before
I could eat sooo much. Like until it hurts
Like when you're not hungry at all but continue eating because of some stress or smth
because you restirct yourself that much
And I think after going through such problems many people start eating intuitively
If you work on yourself, on your mindset everything goes well as a result
I really love doing all of the sports
But if I have some free time
I can go jogging, I can do some exercises at home
My brother works out every day, so we have
some equipment for it at home
I like doing a workout but not always find time for that
But still there's always a place for sport in my life
For example, I can run up and down by stairs if I realise I have some free time
Yeah, I can just go up and down the stairs instead of jogging
What did you bring with you for your 1st work drip and what would you suggest to bring with you for sure?
I've brought cosmetics
I went to HK during summer, so I haven't brought many clothes, especially the warm ones
I haven't brought with me my hair straigtener
And it was a mistake
There are no guaranties that it will be in your apartment and it's not really appropriate to ask your roommate for it all the time. Like it was in my case
And I would also suggest you to bring these... How it called
Adapter, yeah
I haven't had it too. And I don't know why I haven't brought the towels too
I was thinking that I'm going to some kind of hotel, so
I was like: mom, why do I need the towels, they will be provided for sure. lol What?
So, I come to HK and there's usual models apartment, so I obviously needed to bring my own towels as well
So, hygiene products and cosmetics are more important than clothes
Because you can buy any clothes right there. If you haven't brought I dress, you can buy it anytime
But the beauty products
Like a normal Moscow - ones. Oos, I mean the Russian ones
What am I saying lol
Yeah, Russian products
And you need to bring your own medicine with you.
Those that you usually take in your country
even if for example you have a headache very very seldom, but you do have you take the certain pill
Then bring it with you just in case
It's really important
I had a health insurance as well in HK
Luckily I didn't really need it
But I had some problems with my leg and we've contacted my health insurance company
But my leg got better, so it was Ok
But I think having a health insurance is very important thing, especially if
some teenager goes to a trip, who don't really knows a thing about these things
like a 15 years old girl
Yes, you have to have an insuranse just in case and it doesn't cost that much, so
when you go to HK
or some Asian countries where no one will understand you
please make a health insurance
The most important.... If you really willing to achieve something
You need to really learn, study yourself like a person
I'm not talking about the outside look
Yeah, there's this typical opinion that in modeling everything depends on your look
But I've recently realized that it's not like that at all
Model's life is the same as any other person's life
And in this life the person needs to learn smth
You know maybe someone has this kindness shining withing and everyone around will feel it
So the clients will too
It doesn't matter what kind or job you have
communication with people is really important
So, you have to speak English, especially in Europe
Again, communication is one of the most important things
And i'm not saying that you have to be friends with the people you work with
I'm saying that friendliness
It has to shine right through you
So, being friendly... And working on your personality
So, I can say that when I was 17-18 years old
I didn't really feel it. It was just simple me
I didn't feel any personality, I didn't feel charisma in me
And I wasn't confident
I couldn't find myself and didn't feel ... stable inside
And it affected my outer look for sure
But since when you're starting to realize some things
This awareness starting to get into you... Even if a little
And when your charisma starts shining through
It's really seen in modeling
Even when you're just standing on a casting and don't say anything
So, my advice is: please work on your inner world, your charisma, not only on your outer look.
