Meghan Fashion - Vogue editor Anna Wintour says Meghan Markle is 'amazing' - Duration: 7:02.
The haters can clutch their pearls over Meghan Markle's rule-breaking style all they want — because the Duchess of Sussex has Vogue's stamp of approval
The fashion bible's editor-in-chief Anna Witnour was recently asked to give her opinions on one of the most visible members of the royal family, and only had praise to heap on Ms
Markle.'I think she's amazing,' said Wintour, 69, going on to say that she and the Duchess of Cambridge 'are going to keep the royal family afloat'
Scroll down for video The praise was given in a new video series called Go Ask Anna that debuted this week on Vogue
com. In the series, Wintour answers reader questions on camera. The first question in the premiere episode was about Meghan, and Wintour made clear she's a fan
'I read somewhere that there were members of the royal household that were confused and upset that she woke up so early, at 5am,' she said
'She's a normal California girl, gets up early, does yoga and meditates.'And also [they're upset that she] sent a lot of text messages
I mean what do they expect, that she was gonna send messages via pigeon?'So, I think she's amazing,' she went on
'And the royal wedding had the whole world watching and I think that her choice was brilliant, it was sophisticated, it was chic, it was grown-up
'It was an English designer, albeit one that was working for a French house, which in a way was a message to the world: Yes, I'm from somewhere else, but I belong
'I thought she looked fantastic. The fact that she chose to walk down the aisle by herself, I also thought spoke for an independent woman
'I think the picture of the Duchess of Sussex's mother at the chapel at the wedding was so inspiring to so many women, men all over the world
' Her enthusiastic praise didn't stop at Prince Harry's bride — Kate Middleton earned some too
'I think the two duchesses, the young duchess that they have in Britain, the Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Sussex are going to keep the royal family afloat, quite frankly, ' she said
It is not the first time that Kate has received approval from Vogue; in April 2016, the Duchess of Cambridge appeared on the cover of British Vogue's centenary issue, helping to mark the publication's 100th anniversary
British Vogue - which was helmed by former editor Alexandra Shulman at the time - collaborated with the National Portrait Gallery on a series of striking portraits of the royal, capturing her looking happy and relaxed while enjoying time in the countryside
It was the first time that the Duchess of Cambridge had ever posed for the front cover of a magazine, and saw her following in the footsteps of Princess Diana, who graced the front page of the publication on four occasions
And now it seems, given Wintour's positive appraisal of Meghan, that the Duchess of Sussex could well be the next royal to make an appearance on the front of the famous fashion magazine
Wintour was also asked her thoughts on wearing a signature uniform — and surprisingly, she mostly advised against it
'Well, it can get kind of boring, a signature look. So I think it's good to shake it up every now and again
Cut your hair,' she said. But then, she admitted: 'I'm probably the last person you should be asking 'cause I've had the same haircut for 100 years, and I wore my glasses for 100 years, and I tend not to change
'In fact, Wintour most definitely has a signature uniform: She is nearly always seen in a floral or graphic print dress, which she pairs with a beaded or gemstone necklace
Her blunt bob is iconic, as are the sunglasses she wears all the time, even inside
She also sticks to her go-to nude Manolo Blahnik sandals throughout the warmer months, which the designer makes custom just for her
In the colder months, she tends toward boots. Yet her famously impeccable taste clearly extends beyond her own signature look, and she spoke of other stylish dressers she admires — both those who have a signature and those who don't
'Women that I admire that have amazing signature style are women like Vanessa Redgrave, who you always see looking absolutely immaculate in shades of silver, gray, camel, with beautiful jewelry
It's just always appropriate,' she said.'Or somebody like Lupita [Nyong'o], who's taken such risks on the red carpet but always had looked like herself
She has never not looked like Lupita, but she's fearless in her choices.'When we're surrounded by so many celebrities that you feel are dictated to by their stylists and dictated to by what the press may think of them, and therefore end up in a strapless fishtail sequin dress that we've seen 5,000 times
'So I admire both. I admire women that have a signature style and I admire those who take risks,' she said

BEGINNER CAMERA BUDGET AND LENS FOR PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY | WEDDINGS & FASHION PHOTOGRAPHY | HINDI - Duration: 8:53.
Today we shall talk about
equipments for portrait photography
one of the easiest genre of photography to start with
we will gradually move from portrait photography
and talk about weddings and fashion photography
To get into wedding and fashion
and the execute the assignments is
altogether a different
ball game. But the the foundation for all these
would be portrait photography
Portrait photography as such
is very easy to start with
Who will be your subject? See, you have to go our for landscape photography
You have to travel for travel photography
Wild life is very complicated
when you have all your patience with the
wild life for their
action and expression
We have prerequisites
for almost all kinds of
photography
unlike portrait photography
where we can create portraits from literally
anyone around us
It's so easy that many of us want to do portraits
So, we will discuss about which lens and accessories
we need, and accordingly what
budget we can set for the camera body
A lot of you photographers
would already know
theres one budget lens
that would be there with everyone...from beginner
to a professional photographer
thats 50mm 1.8 lens
it could be from any brand for that matter
Approximately , based on the market value of all brands for 50mm
we will keep the price as 10,000
So, if you have interest in portraits
then , you need to be sure
that 50 mm 1.8 is a
mandatory lens for you
It does not make sense that you have only a camera body
for a general use, you also need a kit lens
So basically you can start with portrait photography
with Body + kit lens
+ portrait lens (50mm 1.8)
So,
or you need to add 10,000 to your budget
your budget is reduced by 10,000
and with whatever is remaining
you need to buy the camera body
and kit lens
So , there will be a difference
of 10,000 from your budget
So, only if you
are very sure that your genre is
portrait photography
go ahead with Body + kit lens
and 50mm 1.8
I always say
its always a good idea
to buy a camera body and kit lens
dont buy any 3rd lens
do hands-on for 2-3 months
then you will
be able to make sure
if you haven't brought this camera out of over enthusiasm...!
what if you just don't use it?
and then you find the camera lying in the cupboard after 6-7 months
I have seen many people
go for combo offers
for mere excitement
which we shouldn't
much possibility is we will be wasting
money on that.
Watch a video on combo offers. Very important for very one... See in the description
But if you are 100% sure
that you want to get into this genre
only in that case
buy this third lens
which is 50mm 1.8
that is , if portrait is your genre
To start with , you just need that..
slowly
if you want to pursue this professionally
then you should experiment
a little with some other lenses.. like 85mm 1.8
try to understand the difference....
there is a possibility
that gradually , you start
liking the photos clicked by 85mm
this is something you will know only after experience
Lets talk about fashion
there are a couple of things
either you are doing a portfolio of a model
or covering a ramp walk
or you are working for a designer
You need to decide
the accessories
based on what you want to do
If you have a limited budget
then obviously you start with 50mm 1.8
personally, I like 70-200 2.8
its my favorite for photoshoots
if you have a budget, then buy one
or any equivalent lens
if you don't have that budget
since we don't do photoshoots daily
when you want you can rent it out
its not easy in small towns
but there are a lot of rental services
in cities. Also if you are in cities
rent some lenses and do some handson
then you will notice the difference between
the results of different lenses
if you are
doing some headshots
or doing a personal portfolio
85mm 1.8 makes beautiful images
but thats around Rs.30,000
if you have a budget
85mm 1.8 is a good addition
for a portrait photographer
If you are looking to cover
fashion / ramp shows, i think 70-200 2.8 is the
best lens i have used
but you would
need a tripod or a monopod. I see some people do it
without tripod or monopod
but somewhere i feel you need to increase the
shutter speed, thereby
increasing the ISO
and there will be
and impact on the photo quality
If you are actually thinking of fashion shows
i think
you have to consider a tripod or a monopod in your list
If you are working for a fashion designer
remember , its not easy to come to their notice
no good designer will hire any random photographer
buy by any chance if you get to work with them
you need
to increase your
budget to have that set up to work
You need a portfolio lens like 70-200
and you would need a wide angle lens
if you have to
showcase any such outfits
along with that
you may also
require a studio set up
Last but not the least .. weddings
I am predominantly a wedding photographer
I did travel, did landscape
have done portraits
have done products
but the most difficult genre has been
wedding photography
Because you need to create photos of candid moments
and you dont have control on the events
you actually cant instruct , most of the time
you just have to be part of the event
and you need
figure out interesting moments
and keep clicking
the new cameras we are seeing tomorrow
we have
focus tracking has become very easy
esp, the eye auto focus of Sony
we can easily track subjects
using that
subject tracking in wedding is very important
examples, if the couple is taking the 'fera'
once you fix the focus
then the camera will track them as they move
So, some things have become easy
bit despite that,
wedding is still
one of the
complicated genres
So, how can we start
the answer is
not that straight forward
if you are just a beginne
and your budget is less
and you are covering your friend's or a relative's wedding
then , make a combination of kit lens and 50mm 1.8
when u need wide angle shots
use kit lens
and where you need portraits ,
use 50mm
in that case
but gradually
you need to focus on
getting wide aperture lenses
those lenses make wedding pictures look
beautiful
And after experimenting on friend's weddings
i would recommend that you work under a professional
forget about payments, copyrights etc
focus of learning
the biggest advantage you would have is
you will be using a lens
that you probably cannot own
all these lenses are for wedding photography
you may have to categorise according to your budget
which portrait lens and a wide angle lens
you could use
You need to choose based on your taste..
Eventually you need to have atleast
1 portrait and 1 wide angle lens
and based on what lens you buy , set the body budget
the yo will have a portrait lens
a wide angle lens and a camera body
for weddings, buy a body whose auto focus is fast
obviously , if the budget increases, you can buy a backup body as well...
instead of changing the lens every now and then
you can make sure
2 lens are fixed to 2 different bodies
you can save time as well
as i was talking about
portraits and related genres
you might have realised
its so much about lenses, meaning
perspectives and angles mean a lot, why do we use DSLR
Click and save the photo in the memory card
Firstly see what lens in important for you and then accessories
whatever is remaining
that will decide the budget for your camera body
you also realise
that portrait photography as a genre is easy to start
but to make it a profession,
we need more budget
before even we move into fashion or weddings
do a lot of hands on on portrait photography
try to know everything about it
and then get into fashion or weddings
Whatever I said, i hope you feel it was helpful

Meghan Fashion - Meghan's role in Suits taught her to master killer heels - Duration: 7:13.
She has won a legion of fashion fans and is responsible for sell-out trends in what has been dubbed the 'Meghan effect'
And in recent weeks the expectant Duchess of Sussex has astounded followers with her ability to navigate her way through an array of engagements, all while wearing towering heels
Despite being heavily pregnant, Meghan Markle, 37, has continued to complete her flawlessly put-together ensembles with an array of five-inch heels from her favourite designers, including Stuart Weitzman and Aquazzura
And now an expert has said her knack for wearing sky scraper heels could be down to the actress wearing similar shoes for hours at a time while filming Suits, in which she starred as an attorney from 2011 to 2017
Speaking to Femail, Lyndsay Hirst, a physiotherapist at Your Pilates Physio, explained how Meghan's time on the legal drama could in fact have made high heels more comfortable for her than flats, especially if she has shortened calf muscles as a result of excessive wear
'Wearing heels can cause your centre of gravity to shift forward slightly which would require you to have good balance and core strength,' she said of yoga-loving Meghan
Explaining why Meghan may wear heels with such ease, she added: 'Very often women that wear heels regularly find them more comfortable than flats as they may have developed a shortening of the calf muscle
Your forefoot needs to be flexible and your calf muscle strong.' Arguing that wearing heels can change your posture and stance as well as adding height to your stature, she revealed that they may be giving Meghan an extra boost of confidence during public engagements
'Wearing heels instantly gives you that feeling of power and elegance that flats just don't give you,' she said
'There is absolutely no reason why pregnant women, who are used to wearing heels can't continue to do so,' she added
Describing the common side effects of pregnancy on women's feet- which Meghan does not seem to have suffered from, she added: 'Due to the effects of the hormone 'relaxin' on the body the feet may tend to get a little wider during pregnancy
'Making sure the shoe is comfortable is essential. Water retention may also cause the feet and ankles to swell so allowing for this is also advised
'Meghan first won a legion of faithful fashion followers during her days as stylish paralegal, and then attorney Rachel, on Suits, storming through the show in an array of smartly tailored dresses, power suits- and always with killer heels
And a picture from Meghan's old off-screen shoe closet, taken from her now-defunct lifestyle website, shows the duchess owned an array of impressive designer shoes long before her royal days
The closet includes £630 Christian Louboutin 'Love Me' pumps, £790 Miu Miu embellished satin pumps, £585 Gianvito Rossi Plexi sandals (with Perspex toes) and £650 Jimmy Choo suede booties- all at eye-watering height
A pair of £420 'Matilde' suede stilettos, the £600 'Amazon' sandals and the £490 'Wild Thing' fringed sandals are also seen
One of Meghan's favourite shoe designers is Aquazurra, a pair of which she famously wore during her her engagement announcement to Prince Harry in November 2017, which are known for their comfort and style
The royal has continued her support by being seen in at least four different styles, including the £490 Deneuve Bow Pumps in two colours: black and olive
Most Aquazzura heels are from 3½ in to 4.5½ in — the optimum height for enhancing posture, studies have found
Made of soft leather, they are also comfortable. 'It's one of the reasons our brand became so popular,' founder Edgardo Osorio previously told FEMAIL
Sold in high-end department stores, prices range from £370 to £1,500. Other designers on Meghan's favourite list include Stuart Weitzman, Paul Andrew, Louboutin, Manolo Blahnik
One of her worn styles has been her £556 Manolo Blahnik BB navy stilettos which have been rolled out for four different engagements
And during a recent visit to Birkenhead Meghan joked that she was navigating walking in heels with her bump 'one day at a time'
It's previously been suggested that the Duchess who stands at 5ft 6in tries to minimise the height difference with her husband who is a towering 6ft 1in
This is because the former actress knows how a height discrepancy between two people can create an 'unbalanced' look in pictures
Celebrity photographer Glenn Gratton told Femail: 'Couples with a big height difference look slightly unbalanced in pictures, and often the smaller of the two ends up looking even smaller and is constantly looking up at their partner
'Rod Stewart and his wife penny have a large gap but this is minimised by rod wearing Cuban heels and penny not wearing super high heels
'In the case of Harry and Meghan she will be wearing high heels to maximise her height and shorten the gap if possible
'
