Border Patrol Agents Just BEAT California Governor Jerry Brown At His Own Game! - Duration: 4:30.

Border patrol agents have had enough of California�s lawlessness and they just found a way around

the states sanctuary status.

According to a top border security official in San Diego, border agents are now refusing

to hand over illegals with felony warrants to California police as they can�t be sure

local authorities will abide by the law and return the criminal illegals to federal custody.

From The Daily Caller

Rodney Scott, the chief patrol agent in the Border Patrol�s San Diego Sector, said earlier

this month that California�s statewide sanctuary law was undermining normal cooperation between

his agency and local law enforcement.

In a little-reported declaration in support of the Department of Justice�s March 6 lawsuit

against California, Scott recalled multiple instances in which a Border Patrol agent in

the San Diego sector determined that releasing a criminal alien to a local law enforcement

would likely result in the person being released without notification to federal authorities.

�In each instance, the Border Patrol Agent determined it was not appropriate, consistent

with his or her federal responsibilities to ensure the enforcement of immigration law,

to release a criminal alien to the state and local law enforcement,� Scott said in a

court declaration.

�This was because, although the alien was subject to removal, if released to California

law enforcement, the alien would ultimately be released into the public.�

Scott�s declaration, first reported March 19 by a local San Diego nonprofit news outlet,

blamed the decisions on the California Values Act, the sanctuary state law that went into

effect at the beginning of 2018.

Also known as SB 54, the law sharply restricts communication between local police and federal

immigration authorities, including about when criminal aliens are going to be released from

local jails.

Passed with widespread support among leading California Democrats, SB54 is the centerpiece

of the state�s resistance to the Trump administration�s crackdown on illegal immigration.

It was among three California laws the DOJ challenged in its lawsuit, which argues the

state�s sanctuary policies amount to a �significant intrusion into federal enforcement of the

immigration laws.�

After fewer than four months in effect, SB54 has begun to harm working relationships between

local and federal law enforcement in southern California, according to Scott�s declaration.

Particularly troubling, he says, is that state and local officers are less willing to respond

to Border Patrol agents� calls for assistance.

In one example, the El Cajon Police Department refused to help Border Patrol agents pursue

three suspects who were fleeing in a vehicle, despite multiple requests form Border Patrol

dispatch.

�After the event, it was determined that the officer declined the request to assist

presuming it was an immigration matter, as opposed to a fleeing subject whose identity/immigration

status was not known at the time of the incident,� Scott wrote.

�This declination for assistance occurred even though it involved a vehicle that failed

to yield, endangering federal law enforcement and the public while traveling on a California

Interstate and highway within their jurisdiction.�

Other California sanctuary laws have impacted the Border Patrol�s ability to locate illegal

aliens, Scott says.

One is Assembly Bill 450, a law enacted in October that, among other provisions, prevents

businesses from granting border agents access to �nonpublic� areas of their property

unless the agent has a judicial warrant.

Scott says AB 450 has interfered longstanding working relationships between Border Patrol

agents and local businesses, reducing agents� ability to observe human smuggling and other

cross-border crimes.

�If employers are not able to provide such consensual access, Border Patrol�s ability

to detect and interdict real time illegal activity, ranging from criminal activity to

the smuggling of narcotics to potential terrorists seeking to enter the United States, along

the border will be diminished,� Scott said.

AB 450 was another of the laws targeted in DOJ�s lawsuit, the first to be filed against

a local or state government over immigration enforcement issues.

The Trump administration argues that successful enforcement of the Immigration and Nationality

Act assumes cooperation between private companies and federal, state, and local agencies.

But they are the ones who created this situation.

California lawmakers forbid local cops from cooperating with federal officials.

They are the ones forcing them to release criminals into the public.

If local police are upset Border Patrol is doing the same, they only have to blame themselves.

Democrats In Crisis: Mass Exodus From Liberal California Has Accelerated

An unprecedented number of Californians left for other states during the last decade and

in the last year that exit has accelerated to historic proportions.

About 5 million Californians left between 2004 and 2013.

Roughly 3.9 million people came here from other states during that period, for a net

population loss of more than 1 million people.

Last year California saw a net loss of almost 150,000.

You do the math.

If the present numbers continue, that number over the next decade could well reach over

2 million.

The Democrat controlled state is in crisis.

Over the past 20 years, California has experienced its slowest rates of growth ever recorded

and an unprecedented migration of residents to other states.

From 2006 to 2016, California's population grew by 9%, which was low for the state and

barely higher than the rest of the nation (8%).

More than 10 million Californians are immigrants.

According to 2015 estimates, 27% of Californians (10.7 million) are foreign born.

That is a higher proportion than in any other state (New York is second with 23%) and twice

the nationwide share (13%).

Taking that into account, and the overall history of the growth of California, the mass

exit is bigger than just the figures show.

And the problem has accelerated over the last two years.

"The rate at which California has been losing people to other states has accelerated in

the past couple of years, in part because of rising housing costs," said Jed Kolko,

chief economist with employment website Indeed.com.

He said the latest Census Bureau data, from July 2016 to July 2017, show "more people

moved out of California to other states than moved in from other states.

In other words, California lost people due to domestic migration."

During that 12-month period, California saw a net loss of just over 138,000 people.

Texas had a net increase of more than 79,000 people.

Arizona gained more than 63,000 residents, and Nevada gained more than 38,000.

"You can literally have a lot of buying power for the dollar in Southern Nevada versus

Southern California," said Christopher Bishop, president of the Greater Las Vegas Association

of Realtors.

"So it has been a major trend over the year, year and a half, and we're seeing it increase."

The trend over the last decade resulted in a net loss of about $26 billion in annual

income.

Thus the reason that California keeps raising taxes at every turn.

That of course, increases the numbers leaving California for lower taxes.

California recently created a 41% increase in the gas tax.

People cannot even afford to drive to work!

"There's nowhere in the United States that you can find better weather than here,"

said Dave Senser, who lives on a fixed income near San Luis Obispo, California, and now

plans to move to Las Vegas.

"Rents here are crazy, if you can find a place, and they're going to tax us to death.

That's what it feels like.

At least in Nevada they don't have a state income tax.

And every little bit helps."

Senser, 65, who previously lived in the east San Francisco Bay region, said housing costs

and gas prices are "significantly lower in Las Vegas.

The government in the state of California isn't helping people like myself.

That's why people are running out of this state now."California takes more and more

more money from people in order to solve its problems.

But Californians aren't getting better government service for this money.

Thanks to the state's debts and pension crisis, all that extra money is going to pension

obligations.

These obligations continue to grow as part of the budget.

And don't even mention basic cost of living.

The median rent for a two-bedroom apartment in the Los Angeles area is $3,200 and in San

Francisco about $4,500.

To actually buy a home is impossible to do, let alone discuss.

California's median price statewide for an existing single-family home?

$600,000.

"For a lot of people, renting is the only option they have because it's tough to afford

a house here," said Steve Feldman, a Keller Williams real estate agent in the L.A./San

Fernando Valley region.

Which, in turn, is helping exasperate the mass exodus.

You can buy a ranch in Texas for the value of a small home in California.

And people are doing so!

"People who have owned their house for quite a while can cash out with quite a nice bit

of money in their hands,' said Feldman.

"They can go to another state and buy a house for a fraction of what they have here

and tuck away a lot of money and retire, work or bring their cost of living and overhead

down."

More California cities may consider defying the state's "sanctuary state" laws,

after the city council of Los Alamitos passed an ordinance defying the state's controversial

new legislation preventing cooperation with federal immigration authorities, Breitbart

reports.

"Tiny Los Alamitos has kicked open the door," state Assemblyman Travis Allen told the Orange

County Register, "and now other cities across California are looking to get on board and

stand up against the illegal sanctuary state."

The law, signed by Gov. Jerry Brown last year and in effect since Jan. 1, includes prohibiting

state and local police agencies from informing federal authorities in cases when illegal

immigrants facing deportation are released from detention.

"Los Alamitos new ordinance claims the new state law placed by Jerry Brown in January,

is in direct conflict with the Federal Law and the Constitution.

Therefore, the council finds that it is impossible to honor our oath to support and defend the

Constitution of the United States of America, unless we opt out of the law that violates

Federal law and the Constitution."

Orange County and the cities of Aliso Viejo and Buena Park to consider adopting similar

measures against California's sanctuary law due to Los Alamitos making a stand against

Jerry Brown and his band of lunatics.

"I thank the City of Los Alamitos for standing up for its citizens and rejecting the so-called

'sanctuary' legislation passed in Sacramento, and I urge the County of Orange and all of

our cities to do the same," ~ Orange County Supervisor Michelle Steel

Aliso Viejo Mayor Dave Harrington said his council will discuss similar action next month.

"It is a great thing what they did," Harrington told the Orange County Register.

"I think they were spot-on, that we take the oath of office to uphold the Constitution

of the United States."

Leaders of Los Alamitos, in Orange County, passed the ordinance 4-1 and instructed the

city attorney to file an amicus brief in the ongoing Department of Justice lawsuit against

the State of California.

The lawsuit challenges the Immigrant Worker Protection Act (HB 450), the Inspection and

Review of Facilities Housing Federal Detainees law (AB 103); and the California Values Act

(SB 54).
