Here is California, the only one that is accepted
is the medical exemption.
Our son, our toddler has a medical exemption
and we have an appointment next month for our infant.
For the medical exemption,
because our son did initially have some allergies
and ear infections, that in conjunction
with my family's history
that is just riddled with autoimmune disorders,
everything from asthma to lupus to fibromyalgia,
allergies, GI issues.
That together allowed our son to get a medical exemption.

getting a, like what does that mean?
- To have a medical exemption means that our kids
can go to any public or private school, any daycare,
and be exempt from having to get vaccines.
It's extremely difficult for a child
to get a medical exemption from a doctor.
A lot of doctors are not willing to write them,
but if just a little bit of research,
there are resources out there that can provide you
with a list of doctors.

California Student Mock Election - Duration: 1:05.
The student mock elections are helpful on many different levels.
Student engagement and then civic participation,
students love it because they realize now that they have a voice
in what goes on in government and their world in the future.
I want to participate in student mock election because I would want to know how it feels like.
I want my voice to be heard.
Being able to vote and take part in who decides is very important.
In a democracy that's the best way we can change things,
and to do that I believe that I need to practice.
It was so easy to sign up for participation.
I just got on the webpage, put in my contact information,
and they sent me out all the information I needed to make it happen.
Once you understand the process of voting in elections,
then you are able to be a more informed citizen
and I think that it just sets them up for success in the future.
