California man calls the COPS on train passenger for eating a burrito - Duration: 2:05.

A California man confronted a fellow train passenger for eating a burrito and then called the cops on him when he refused to stop

The disciplinarian shouted, 'The sign says no food or drink on board, don't you get it?' as the hungry customer munched away during a video uploaded to Reddit on Sunday after being filmed on the Bay Area transit line (BART)

'Yes please, can you get a policeman onboard here? We've got someone dining here in the first car,' he tells the driver

The situation eventually calmed down when the rule-breaker got off at Coliseum station in Oakland

No cops appear to have been called. RELATED ARTICLES Previous 1 2 Next 'Explain yourself, Mr!': Hilarious moment little boy grills

'I ride BART more than either of you,' he replied, while insisting he just wants people to follow the rules while on the train

The video received a mixed reaction on social media, with most people branding the man's actions excessive but others coming to his defense

'Seriously, who cares. I doubt burrito guy was making a mess,' one wrote.'I like rule followers, personally, but rule enforcers are another thing entirely, and this guy needs to let it rest,' said another

But one user backed him up, writing: 'There's nothing worse than getting crammed into a rush-hour train and having multiple seats unusable because some selfish d***bag has spilled his coffee or breakfast burrito all over the place

California firefighters save boy stuck in library's statue - Duration: 2:13.

Firefighters in California had to rescue a young boy, who crawled into a statue and got his head stuck at the Solano County Library Monday

(Fairfield Fire Department) A family of four in California went to the Solano County Library Monday to register for their library cards when one of the young boys in the family crawled into a statue and got his head stuck

The statue is one of two 800-pound granite lions.  It was a gift from Fairfield's sister city Zinwa in Taiwan back around 1977

Today a young boy was attempting to crawl through a stone statue and got his head stuck

Engine 37 and Truck 37 were able to gently chip a small piece of the stone away enough to free the boy

The boy was not injured, the statue had minor damage pic.twitter.com/F8so7Xrxv8— Fairfield Fire Dept

(@Fairfieldfire) June 26, 2018  Here in the west, they're commonly known as "Foo dogs

" They serve as guardians to the people inside the structures they protect.  "We got a call for a juvenile stuck in a statue," recalled Fairfield Fire Capt

Tony Prado.  It was not your everyday type of call for help. But with lights and sirens on, Station 37 responded

"He was underneath and he had his head between the front and rear legs on the left side of the dog," said engineer Anthony Bellamy

"His head was between those, got through but wasn't able to get it back out."  "We were trying to do everything we could to manipulate his head to get it out," said firefighter and paramedic Chase Diaz

"We used Vaseline, sheets of plastic. We tried maneuvering his head every single way

Cheech Marin's Chicano art museum given $9.7 million from state of California - Duration: 3:33.

Just months after California legalized recreational marijuana the state is giving stoner comedian Cheech Marin's Chicano art museum $9

7 million.  It must be kismet. Advertisement  The money was rolled up in the $139-billion California budget for 2018-19 that Gov

Jerry Brown signed Wednesday.  The Cheech Marin Center for Chicano Art, Culture and Industry is scheduled to open in 2020 in Riverside, east of Los Angeles

"The Cheech," as Marin prefers to call it, will include approximately 700 paintings, drawings, sculptures and other works he's collected over more than 30 years

Among them are works by such internationally acclaimed Chicano artists as Gilbert "Magú" Lujan, Frank Romero and Carlos Almaraz

"I have dreamed for many years of finding a home for the hundreds of pieces of art that I have spent much of my life collecting, protecting and showing, when possible, at major museums around the world," Marin said Wednesday

"The Riverside community has made this dream a reality."  Marin and the Riverside Art Museum had already raised approximately $3 million since plans for the museum were unveiled last year

It will be located in a refurbished building next door to Riverside's historic Mission Inn, a stopping point since it opened in the 1870s for numerous celebrities and presidents, including Theodore Roosevelt, Richard Nixon and George W

Bush.  Marin, a lifelong art lover, began collecting soon after he and cannabis comedy partner Tommy Chong became famous in the 1970s

He's said over the years he focused on Chicano art not so much because he's a Chicano but because of how brilliant he found the artists to be and how, in the early years, so few people were aware of their work

That began to change as Marin, 71, persuaded museums across the country to stage exhibitions

After one at the Riverside Art Museum last year drew more than double its normal attendance, officials approached him about permanently housing his collection there

California data privacy bill passes, heads to governor - Duration: 2:19.

An internet privacy bill that experts call the nation's most far-reaching effort to give consumers more control over their data is headed to California Gov

Jerry Brown after passing both chambers of the Legislature on Thursday

Under the bill, consumers could ask companies what personal data they've collected, why it was collected and what categories of third parties have received it

Consumers could ask companies to delete their information or that they refrain from selling it

Companies could offer discounts to customers who allow their data to be sold and could charge those who opt out a reasonable amount based on how much the company makes selling the information

It passed the Legislature without any dissenting votes. Lawmakers scrambled to pass it so that a San Francisco real estate developer would remove a similar initiative from the November ballot

The deadline to remove initiatives is Thursday. The bill, AB375 by Assemblyman Ed Chau, would also bar companies from selling data from children younger than 16 without consent

"We in California are taking a leadership position with this bill," said Sen

Bob Hertzberg, a Van Nuys Democrat who co-authored the bill. "I think this will serve as an inspiration across the country

"Voter-enacted initiatives are much harder to alter than laws passed through the legislative process

Given the significance and complexity of the proposed policy, supporters and even many opponents say they want legislators to pass the bill so they can more easily change it in the future

San Francisco real estate developer Alastair Mactaggart spent $3 million to support the related initiative and qualify it for the ballot

If the bill fails, he says he'll push forward with the initiative

Assemblymember Chau Holds Hearing on AB 375 The California Consumer Privacy Act - Duration: 1:05.

AB 375 the California consumer privacy act as a simple bill it is based on the principle

that people should have the right to control of their own personal data and should not

be discriminated against for exercising that right. we've seen the harmful effects of the

erosion of user privacy and can no longer simply content ourselves with imagining this

debate has a squabble between privacy advocates and online data companies the rules on what

information can be collected how can we use and by whom will have enormous impact on the

well being of large swaths of society and indeed those in receipt of our democracy

and online discourse. If a business wants to collect information about you while you're

surfing the web.

Then use it for reasons of they're all like providing a service was selling it they should

ask your permission first it is your data your privacy your choice this is an important

issue because online businesses have the ability to know a great deal about a person's online activities.

California representatives considering House Democratic leadership bids - Duration: 1:41.

Gov. Jerry Brown authorized the ballot measure Wednesday when he signed the state's annual budget and related legislation

The measure would draw funding from dollars generated by Proposition 63, a 1% income tax surcharge on millionaires passed in 2004 that funds mental health services

Housing built or rehabilitated under the plan would be designated for mentally ill residents living on the streets

This is the second try at a spending plan for Brown and state lawmakers, who first tried to approve the money without a public vote in 2016

But a Sacramento attorney and mental health advocates challenged the effort in court, arguing that the money shouldn't be diverted from treatment programs and that legislators needed a vote of the people to authorize the funds

That case is still in litigation and the November ballot measure, if successful, would free up the money

Brazilian Versace model sues California Embassy Suites for BED BUGS - Duration: 4:21.

A Brazilian model is suing an Embassy Suites hotel in California after claiming her room was infested with bed bugs that left her body covered in bites and welts

Sabrina Jales St Pierre, who has worked for the likes of Victoria's Secret, Versace, and Valentino, said she noticed the bed bug bites on her very first night

.   'Eventually she was massacred by bites covering pretty much her entire body,' Brian Virag, the model's attorney, told the Palm Springs Desert Sun

. She is seeking an unknown amount of monetary and punitive damages. Virag claims St Pierre has had 'nightmares about the experience' and continues to experience 'psychological trauma and fear of bed bugs today'

'This was especially traumatic for Sabrina because her body is her work, so this severely affected her work and her career,' he added

'She had to continue working during the hotel stay, but the bite marks all over her body made her feel embarrassed, ashamed, and humiliated

' Virag, who specializes in bed bug cases, has claimed that St Pierre's bites were among the worst he has seen in nearly a decade

He added that the model had to seek medical attention for the bites 'for an extended period of time'

Meanwhile Carlos Mendoza, the Palm Desert hotel's general manager, claims no evidence of bed bugs were ever found

On the day St Pierre reported the bites, Mendoza said the hotel's chief engineer and housekeeping manager investigated the room for bed bugs

When none were found, he said the hotel had an outside pest control company perform a second investigation that also did not find bed bugs

'We did all the proper protocols and found no evidence,' he said. 'Now we have to go through the lawsuit to defend the reputation of the hotel

'  Mendoza said that the hotel still agreed to dry clean St Pierre's clothes because 'the comfort and health and safety of our guests is most important'
