Auto news on Youtube Jun 26 2018

hey everybody its Mallory Grimste, teen therapist from Woodbridge, Connecticut

and today is an Ask a Teen Therapist with Mallory Grimste that's me!

it is a little after 12:30 I apologize I'm running a little bit late today but I'm

here I had a few technical glitches but I'm here and today I'm going to be

answering the question "is my teen depressed?" but before I do that I've got

to go over my little mini disclaimer as you know if you're new to the videos

make sure that you don't fast-forward through this part if you've already

watched them you already know this these videos and anything across the web like

this unless you are an active client of mine this is not meant to be counseling

or psychotherapy the content of these videos and the purpose of them is to be

for informational and educational usage only and as a self-help tool based on

your own personal judgment and discretion if you need the help of a

professional you should go ahead and find one and

hopefully locally because as you know local is always better because they're

familiar with your area the resources available to you and all that good stuff

all right so today I'm just gonna jump right into it "is my teen depressed?"

obviously I cannot answer that specific to your teenager but I can give you the

basic warning signs so the difference between the two is that when it comes to

depression there is the feeling of feeling depressed and then there is the

actual clinical condition of depression so the difference between the two is

that everybody has felt depressed at some point in their life feeling

depressed is an overwhelming sadness or emptiness or loneliness that it just

doesn't feel good it's in the unpleasant emotion category having

clinical depression means that you must meet at least five of nine different

characteristics or criteria to be diagnosed by a mental health

professional so in the state of Connecticut where my practice is based

somebody who is a licensed mental health professional such as myself I am what's

called a licensed clinical social worker I am allowed to diagnose these

conditions people who are medical doctors whether they are psychiatrists

neurologists, that sort of thing, can diagnose in this category

there are other licensed mental health professionals such as LMFTS which is

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy, LPCs licensed professional counselor,

psychologist, I mean the list goes on and on but I won't bore you with all

those letters but just so you know even a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) such

as myself is able to diagnose this condition safely as long as they have

passed the exam which I have done and have gotten all their clinical hours all

right so what does teenage depression look like? teens with major depressive

disorder or an unspecified depressive disorder which means that they have

sprinklings of depression but it's not a full-blown episode tend to report

feeling hopeless they feel sad they feel empty they feel lonely they feel

irritable or angry this is really important most people think irritability

and anger are just general teenage angst however if it's coupled with some of

these other things it's something to pay attention to because anger is a

protective emotion and so it can be protecting the teenager from a deeper

hurt of sadness or emptiness something that just keep in mind with teenagers

and kids in particular they also report feeling unmotivated, tired or

exhausted, worthless, excessively or inappropriately guilty, restless, have

a low appetite, they can be indecisive and the really

scary one is they can start to feel suicidal, thinking that the world would

be better without them, now of course we do not want any of our teenagers to be

feeling this way and if you are noticing a huge shift in your teenager's general

mood, behavior, or affect, that's how they express or show their emotions, and they

are reporting or looking like they are feeling at least three of these feelings

that I just mentioned it might be worth consulting with a

local mental health professional to determine if counseling could be

beneficial to have a diagnosis of a major depressive disorder you need to

have a major depressive episode that means that it's a two-week period of

feeling depressed every day or most of the day during those two weeks and also

having five of those other criteria met so I hope that that answered your

questions about "is my teen depressed?" and I'm sure you're wondering you know what

would be the next step

isolation and feeling disconnected are probably two of the biggest risk factors

for teenagers with depression so getting connected with with other like-minded

teens and helping each other can be really helpful my teen girls therapy

groups are enrolling now for the summertime so if you want in on that

it's a small group limited to maximum of eight girls in each and I'm very

selective about who is accepted because I don't want to just put just anybody

together because that's not helpful either so if you're interested in that

head over to mallorygrimste.com/teen-girl-group and

check out that information there or you can just go to mallorygrimste.com

and click on that link for the teen girls therapy group alright everybody

I hope that this is helpful thank you for joining me and I will see you in a

few days to answer the question "is my teen anxious?" thanks everybody

be well

What Is Inside Bang Snaps Pop-Its (Party Snap-Its, Pops Crackers) & How Do They Work #tech #Science - Duration: 3:02.

They are known by many names: Bang snaps, snappers, party snaps, crackers, pop pops,

fun snaps, "Lil' Splodeys", Throwdowns, T N T Pop Its, snap-its, poppers, poppies, pop-its,

whip'n pops, Pop Pop Snappers, whipper snappers, whiz-bangers, snap'n pops, bangers, devil

bangers

But what is really inside those pop-its? And how do they work?

Nothing much really, just a bit of coarse sand or gravel twisted in a cigarette paper.

But the gravel has something extra.

It has been impregnated with silver fulminate, a ridiculously sensitive explosive that will

detonate when submitted to impact, friction, pressure, heat and even electricity.

The quantities of silver fulminate used are so low that it makes the product quite safe

to use even by children, or your mother.

Who was Gauhar Jaan? "Indian Singer" and "Dancer" from Calcutta is honored by Google Doodle. - Duration: 2:19.

Who was Gauhar Jaan?

"Indian Singer" and "Dancer" from Calcutta is honored by Google Doodle.

Google today celebrated the 145th birth commemoration of amazing artist and artist Gauhar Jaan with

a Google doodle.

Gauhar was among the principal entertainers to record music on 78 rpm records in the nation.

The record was discharged by the Gramophone Company of India.

Gauhar was conceived on June 26 out of 1873, and her original name was Angelina Yeoward.

Her dad was Armenian and her mom Victoria Hemmings was an Indian by birth.

After her folks' separation, Victoria moved to Benaras with a Muslim aristocrat and the

then eight-year-old Angelina went with her mom there.

Both mother and little girl changed over to Islam when in Benaras.

Victoria changed her name to Malka Jaan and Angelina's name was changed to Gauhar Jaan.

Malka turned into a prominent artist and Kathak artist in Benaras.

A few years after the fact, the mother-girl twosome moved to what was then called Calcutta

where Gauhar started to prepare as a Hindustani established artist.

Before long, she likewise wound up achieved in Kirtan and Rabindra Sangeet, among other

melodic structures.

Gauhar's first execution was at the courts, in what is today called Bihar, in 1887.

She was before long named court performer.

Before the finish of the nineteenth century, Gauhar had built up a colossal after.

In 1896, she began performing in Calcutta and built up an enormous after.

Before long, she started to traverse the nation for exhibitions - she was even welcomed to

perform at King George V's crowning ordinance in Delhi.

Gauhar's most acclaimed for tunes like 'Mora Nahak Laye gavanava', 'Jabse Gaye mori sur

huna live', 'Ras ke Bhare Tore Nain unimportant Dard-e-jigar'.

She was likewise noted for her bhajan exhibitions.

Sometime down the road, Gauhar went to Mysore on the welcome of Krishna Raja Wadiyar IV

and turned into the castle artist there.

She survived just year and a half there, kicking the bucket at 56 years old on January 17,

1930.

Why Was TANACON Such A Disaster?! | What's Trending Now! - Duration: 6:50.

TANACON Tana Mongeau's counter-event to last weekend's Vidcon, became a total

disaster, after 20,000 hopeful attendees became an unruly mob. Welcome back to

What's Trending, I'm Shira Lazar be sure to like this video and subscribe for more social media

news daily TANACON took place at a Marriott in Garden Grove California

literally down the street from where VidCon was happening at the Anaheim

Convention Center to give you a sense of things VidCon is like the comic-con of

YouTube where all the digital stars and their fans come together, but back to

TANACON it became pretty clear very quickly that they were not ready or

prepared to host an event of this magnitude. Moments before this gathering

of YouTube fans turned wild, fans at TANACON say an angry mob grabbed

tickets and rushed the lobby of this garden grove Marriott, where Tana Mongeau

held her own event competing with VidCon. Apparently 20,000 people showed up for

the event after ticket sales were capped at only 5,000, but even if only the

people with tickets had shown up it's questionable if things would have still

ran smoothly @RainbowpupsSF who got inside TANACON tweeted for everyone

outside the reason the line is not moving is literally because there is not

enough room inside it's just one hall. She also said there was no food inside

and only three vendors. People waiting outside had a tough time as well, that's

because it was 84 degrees outside and there was no shade or water provided.

According to Marriott the largest capacity space in the hotel fits about

1,000 people, so it's unclear how Tana con plan to fit in the 5,000 ticket

holders let alone the 20,000 who showed up. As the event grew more disorganized

and security was unable to wrangle the crowd the fire marshal ultimately shut

the whole thing down and everyone was ordered to leave.

Eventually actress Bella Thorne and Tana Mongeau came outside to try and meet

disappointed fans. Starting at 9:00 a.m. on Friday morning @Cacasmiddlename

on Twitter began detailing all of the major drama at TANACON. Among the many

complaints, paid attendees were not guaranteed to meet any creators which

was one of the main draws of TANACON over VidCon some of the feature creators

had been accused of sexual abuse and that the entire thing was basically a

single hallway with not nearly enough room for everyone coming. After all this

unfolded Tana Mongeau took to Twitter with a long thread detailing how it all went

so wrong. she wrote "My intentions with tannic on

were incredibly pure and I truly thought that I had everything on lock I

was told a lot that didn't end up happening, I was truly under the

impression that we were selling to capacity and took it as far as speaking

with several people very high up at Marriott." She called it a bump in the

road that she takes full responsibility for and that she'll be issuing refunds

to people out of her own pocket now it's worth going back to look at

why TANACON was initiated in the first place

Tana Mongeau known for her story times had not enjoyed herself but previous

vidcon's and explained in an 80 minute video in April that she wasn't going to

be attending this year because of a series of grievances, most notably that

they refused to consider her a featured creator. [Tana]: "I don't care that 500 people

were upstairs waiting to listen to you talk at that panel you're not a featured

creator in my event and you need to get the gap and I'm not gonna lie

immediately my heartbreak turns into anger and frustration." [Shira]: Hey Tana I know

how that feels, been there.. it's true, I mean one year I'm featured, one year I'm

moderating, one year I'm invited by a sponsor, I don't know, but I still go and

I love VidCon and the VlogBrothers now Viacom... hire me

so since VidCon just leaves people out and does have a lot of politics around

it, she decided screw it, I can do it better.

The idea behind TANACON was to give fans a convention that's cheaper than

VidCon with better access to creators, and we totally believe that Tana was

genuine in her effort to make TANACON a legit event, but the amount of

ticketed individuals that couldn't get in who probably drove and flew a ton of

miles to get there shows how hard it is to put together an event like this.

Despite TANACON being readily compared to the even more disastrous fire festival,

Tana has defended the event saying that she did pretty much everything she

wanted to do inside the hotels doors. [Tana]: "I did pretty much everything that I was

supposed to do today and I just want to let you guys know as well, like, people

always make room to speculate and say a bunch of stuff, but I want you to know

that today TANACON was everything inside that I said it was going to be."

[Shira]: That explanation probably isn't really gonna sit well for the people who paid $65 for VIP

tickets for an event they couldn't even get into. Fellow YouTube star and

comedian Shane Dawson give his thoughts about TANACON which he was scheduled

to attend, and how he plans to make it up to fans. [Shane]: "Anybody else who came to TANACON

that's from LA, I'm gonna do a free meet-up for them, and then I'm gonna

hopefully do on my next book to where I'm gonna meet up with everybody around the

country, and, but that doesn't fix it, like that doesn't, like doesn't help, like does

it help? I don't know... Doesn't take away the fact that they were, like literally

scammed." [Shira]: Meghan Tonjes, friend of what's trending, and a veteran of VidCon and

about a dozen other creator events chimed in on Twitter - she wrote "let's

drop his narrative of teenager only had a month to plan a con and is doing her

best. It was a month of planning to be shady on VidCon weekend takes any con

at least a year with a team to create any of these events.

it wasn't gonna go well meeting people in an inclusivity and direct access? All

amazing. But, the audiences are just too big and too active to not have structure.

Not everyone can meet everyone safely and 9-hour meet and greets are beyond

exhausting for creators. It would have been more impactful for TANACON to be

well-run safe, and thought-out than a semi failed **** you pop up."

I'll give Tana credit, I think it's awesome to be able to see something that

might not be working for you and just do it yourself, I'm all about that, but I

think it's once again as I mentioned easier to complain about these things

than to like just do them yourself and I think you realize how hard it is when

you actually try to create something like this as Tana realized. So in many

ways, it was a huge failure for the fans but I think for her as a public

persona and as a star, I guess all press is good press and that's how she built

her brand, so I mean I think she's gonna continue moving onwards and upwards from

here and hopefully she learned her lesson and can create a better event and

experience from this in the future so do you think about all the drama around

TANACON, and how should she make it up to her fans? let us know in the comments

below and be sure to LIKE and subscribe for more of what's trending

VAR missed what was actually wrong with Spain's late equaliser vs Morocco - Duration: 3:25.

Neither Spain nor Portugal were very impressive on Monday night, but both are through after dumping Morocco and Iran out of Group B

VAR took centre-stage in both games, with Cristiano Ronaldo winning a penalty, missing it, and staying on the pitch after making contact with an opponent's face

Late on, Iran were then awarded a very dubious penalty.Karim Ansarifard slotting the ball coolly into the back of the net meant that Portugal will now have to face Uruguay in the last-16

The draw has been kinder to group-toppers Spain, who will meet Russia.Nevertheless, La Roja had to come from behind twice to secure a 2-2 draw

Iago Aspas' 91st-minute equaliser came from a lovely backheel, yet it was initially thought to be offside

The video assistant referees overturned that decision, much to Morocco's disgust despite the fact they were already out of the tournament

The controversy did not end there, either.Eagle-eyed fans have spotted that while the goal came from a corner, the 2010 champions actually took it from the wrong side: As you can see, the referee had signalled to the left, but they took the corner from the right-hand side

The rules state that if the ball goes out for a corner, it should then be placed "inside the corner arc nearest to the point where the ball crossed the goal line"

Ironically, Morocco's fury was directed at the officials for deeming the former Liverpool man onside - but that was absolutely right

To his credit, manager Hervé Renard defended referee Ravshan Irmatov after the final whistle

"It is difficult to be a referee," he told reporters."I said what I wanted to say after the previous match and now I think we have to get focused and concentrate on what is the most important thing: the result

" However, Renard admitted he did have a problem with some of the more contentious decisions against his side, including the corner being taken from the other side

"We were a bit upset that Pique was not booked when he used both feet but maybe this is not the most important aspect

I can't say if this is allowed. If it is not allowed then there is a major mistake

"If it is allowed, we checked [the offside call] with VAR so we won't challenge, but are we allowed to use a corner to take it on one side when the ball went out on the other? "I checked with the referees but their door was closed

" If VAR was brought in to end the controversy in football, it's not doing a very good job so far

Fans missed what the referee did during Roman Reigns and Bobby Lashley's tag match - Duration: 4:53.

Football News24/7  For the second week in a row, Roman Reigns was teaming up with Bobby Lashley to take on The Revival

Some fans are pleased that Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder are getting television time, against two of the biggest names on Monday Night RAW no less

MONDAY NIGHT RAW  Others, however, haven't been as receptive to seeing an identical tag team match for the second consecutive week, even if the outcome was different

With general manager Kurt Angle making the announcement that the multi-person number one contender match at Extreme Rules is no longer going ahead, they did drop a tease towards which match could feature on the card

It's thought that The Big Dog will take on Lashley, with the winner earning an opportunity to challenge Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship

Eagle-eyed viewers that did tune into RAW this week and caught this tag team match, though, might have spotted something rather strange involving the referee

Although, it wasn't entirely obvious what was going on.  As you'll be able to see in the video below, Lashley was waiting to get tagged in while Reigns was locked in a submission hold by Wilder

For some reason, the referee turned his focus to Lashley out of nowhere, and the small number of fans that did catch it have realised why the referee approached Lashley on the apron

WWE'S INSTRUCTIONS  While Lashley was waiting to get tagged in, the Nike logo was clearly visible on his headband before the camera cut away again

Instantly, the referee left his job to head over to Lashley, signalling that he needed to flip his headband over to hide the Nike logo

Although some might praise the referee for his ring awareness, it's clear that as soon as Lashley was seen on the cameras behind the scenes, the referee was given a directive through the earpiece to head over to Lashley and give the instruction

Considering the WWE practically owns 'TapOut,' it might have made for sense for WWE to hand that headband to Lashley instead

Now, it looks clear that WWE isn't a fan of giving any company free advertising - even if you're Nike

Still, it shows how seriously the WWE might have taken this catch as the referee wasted little time to rush over to Lashley

What do you make of WWE instructing the referee to tell Bobby Lashley to hide the Nike logo? Have YOUR say in the comments section below

Is that normal? What to expect during a visit to the gynecologist - Duration: 16:53.

A visit to the gynecologist is an important part of a woman's medical care. But more than other types of checkups, the exam puts patients in a vulnerable position of intimate scrutiny

Advertisement  A gynecologist who treated University of Southern California students at a campus health center for nearly 30 years stands accused of behaving inappropriately during patient exams

In many cases, the patients had never gone to a gynecologist before and didn't know what to expect

Scores of women said they knew something didn't feel right during their exam with Dr

George Tyndall, even though a chaperone was in the room. But they didn't know their discomfort could be a sign of a doctor's misconduct

"Being so young, I didn't have a framework for what was acceptable," former patient Chelsea Wu told the Times

More than 410 former patients have contacted the university about their former gynecologist since The Times published its report

The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating more than 50 complaints related to Tyndall, who was allowed to resign in 2017 with a financial payout

Tyndall has said his interactions with patients were appropriate and denied any wrongdoing, though an internal inquiry by USC found that his pelvic exams qualified as sexual harassment

The Medical Board of California is investigating Tyndall, and the U.S. Department of Education has launched an inquiry into USC's handling of the misconduct complaints against him

As these cases make clear, it's sometimes difficult for patients to tell when a doctor's behavior crosses the line, especially during a woman's first exam

What is normal? What should a patient expect? What sorts of things should never happen? Here are some answers: A routine gynecological exam for someone under age 21 doesn't typically include an internal pelvic exam

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists recommends an initial screening at the gynecologist's office between the ages of 13 and 15 to establish trust between a patient and physician

That visit would include a general exam of the patient's weight, height and blood pressure

Any medical problem that needs examination maybe also be discussed, such as a heavy, painful or irregular period

The visit might also include a visual breast exam and a genital external exam. If the patient is under age 18, she might receive an HPV vaccine to prevent future infection, if she wasn't vaccinated between the recommended ages of 11 and 12

None of this involves an internal pelvic exam, which is usually "unnecessary during the initial reproductive health visit," said Dr

Sigal Klipstein, past chairwoman of the OB-GYN college's ethics committee.  "A speculum or internal exam is not routinely offered for women under age 21 unless there are specific concerns," Klipstein said

These could include pain or abnormal bleeding, or a problem that is discovered while taking a patient's medical history, she said

If a patient is sexually active, she may be tested for sexually transmitted infections

However, most STDs can be detected with a urine sample. A doctor should wear gloves at all times during an internal exam

To have internal organs checked, a woman is asked to lie down on the exam table with knees bent and place her feet in two stirrups at the base

A doctor will place one or two gloved, lubricated fingers into a patient's vagina and cervix

With his or her other hand, the doctor will press on the abdomen from the outside

USC scandal sparks a reckoning in gynecology: How to better protect patients? »  "Universal precautions dictate that physicians should always wear gloves when performing an internal exam," Klipstein said

A doctor should communicate with a patient before an exam, and a chaperone should be offered

A doctor should explain the purpose of the internal pelvic exam before it begins and answer any questions the patient might have, Klipstein said

Advertisement  "The patient at this point should also be offered a chaperone for the physical exam portion of the visit," she added

According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the chaperone can reassure a patient about the "professional context and content of the examination and the intention of the physician

" The chaperone also serves as a witness to the exam, in the event of any misunderstanding

At USC, several chaperones voiced concerns to their supervisors regarding Tyndall's unconventional behavior during exams

The chaperone should not be a family member. Even if the presence of a family member is requested during the exam, a chaperone should also be present

Physicians will ask about a patient's sexual history, but should not make sexually provocative remarks

A patient's sexual history should be part of the conversation during a gynecological exam to identify the correct care that should be provided

Questions about sexual activity, pain tolerance, period cycle and birth control are not uncommon

"At the initiation of a gynecological visit, the physician should ask the patient if there have been any changes to her health since they last met, Klipstein said

"The physician should also ask the patient about her general health, ask about any concerns she has, inquire about any recent potential exposures to sexually transmitted infections, any problems with bleeding, and her contraceptive or reproductive concerns

"  One former patient of Tyndall's told The Times that the USC gynecologist seemed fixated on her sexual orientation and urged her to lose weight, suggesting that she could probably "get a guy instead of a girlfriend

" That kind of talk is inappropriate, experts said.  If the patient initiates an inappropriate conversation, her doctor should redirect her to a medical issue, said Dr

Julie Cantor, who trained as a physician and is now a law professor at UCLA.  "You're supposed to be very clinical," Cantor said

Advertisement Areas of a woman's body that aren't being examined should remain covered

"A woman is usually asked to lift her gown to expose her pelvis for the speculum and internal portion of the exam," Klipstein wrote

"She is asked to expose her chest for the breast exam. In general, any areas that are not being examined at the moment remain covered to protect the woman's privacy to the extent possible

"  Tyndall reportedly asked women to lie on the exam table unclothed while he inspected every part of their body

He called these exams full body scans, and said he was checking for moles. That degree of nudity, however, is uncommon and inappropriate

A doctor should only make necessary physical contact with a patient.  An exam should be performed with a minimum amount of physical contact, according to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists

Every procedure during the examination should also include an explanation of what is being done and why

If a woman complains of rectal bleeding, a "visual inspection of the anus or a rectal exam may be warranted" to check for hemorrhoids, Klipstein said

If a woman feels something is not right during an exam, she should say so.  A patient has every right to ask questions, inquire about procedures and request the presence of a chaperone, Klipstein said

"If a woman feels unsafe or uncomfortable during an exam, she should be encouraged to verbalize these concerns with her physician right away," she said

"If there is no chaperone in the room when she becomes concerned, she should immediately request that one be made available and the remainder of the exam should be delayed until a chaperone is present

" If a woman thinks she may have been abused during an exam, what should she do?  Cantor suggests using an acronym — TRUTH — to help women think through what to do if they believe a doctor has acted inappropriately during an exam

T: Trust your gut.  "If you have a sense that something is inappropriate or wrong, I would trust that," Cantor said

Even if it turns out that everything was aboveboard, the misunderstanding can be a teachable moment for all involved about the importance of clear communication

R: Report  If a woman believes she's been a victim of a doctor's abuse, Cantor suggests going to a district attorney, who decides whether to file criminal charges, or the state medical board, which handles licensing

In Los Angeles County, the Bureau of Victim Services can be reached by phone at (800) 380-3811 or online

U: Understand  Friends, family and colleagues can offer insight to help a woman decipher whether what she experienced was out of the realm of normality

If a woman is unsure from the start about what to do, Cantor suggests this as a possible first step

T: Talk to others.  An attorney could help a woman determine whether she has a civil case against her doctor

If a woman is seeking emotional support, a therapist or rape crisis counselor could help

H: Have to persist.  A woman may have to advocate for herself and follow up with questions after a report has been filed to law enforcement or a medical board, Cantor said

Doing so can help not just the woman in question, but also potential future victims

"Seek justice not only for yourself, but for others," she said.

What Is an Example of Third Party Insurance Bad Faith Conduct? - Duration: 1:12.

An example of what is known as third-party insurance bad faith, or a third-party failure

to protect, has to do with the scenario in which—let's say for example I myself am

out driving around and I caused a crash.

I'm not paying attention and I crash into another person and hurt them very badly.

Well, in that scenario my insurance company has a duty to protect me just like always.

And so what that means in this specific example is that my insurance company needs to take

action promptly.

They need to go to the person and communicate with the person who I injured, to do everything

they can to settle that claim.

Now, if they don't try to do that if they don't try to provide me with that protection,

then I could end up getting sued by that person.

I could end up getting sued, having to go through a lawsuit and having a judgment entered

against me that is worth more than what my insurance company can even provide pursuant

to my contract.

So, that's a big failure to protect me, if they don't even try to go and compensate that

person to prevent that person from suing me.

That's what is known as insurance bad faith on the third party.

8. What is Underwriting of Securties by Investment Bank? - Duration: 3:59.

Let us now look at over all frame work we have learn what is research we have looked

at sale sales an d trading we have also looked at rising capital now we will move to underwriting

and market making these are basically to industry jargons which are very important for us understand

so when we talk about IPO's what happens is let say if the company is wanting to raise

100 Million Dollars and if they are un able to do so then what happened there is risk

associated with it were we probably assumed that the IPO may go unsuccessful mitigate

the risk investment banks actually underwrite an IPO which means that if there is under

subscription them investment bank will actually buy those shares.

Now let us discuss another important function of an investment bank when we talk about IPOs

that is called as Underwriting.

So we are hearing a lot about investment banks to underwriting for various IPOs what exactly

it means?

So let's take an example here in order see what Underwriting means let's see that you

know there is a small company that is a private company and they want to kind of raise new

securities so we have discussed this earlier.

So they may raise using an IPO or the Initial Public Offerings but the problem is that you

know there may be risk associated with under-subscription?

What this under-subscription would mean is let's say this company wanted to raise 100

Million Dollars from the market.

The risk of under-subscription means that whatever they wanted to raise they may not

able to raised so not 100 million may be they are able to raise 50 Million that's under-subscription

you know there are investment bankers who basically underwrite the securities and the

helps the firms raise the committed amount so what this mean is that if an investment

banker is underwriting the securities he virtually guaranteeing that the amount that is committed

to be raised will be raised and how does the investment bank actually ensures this?

So essentially when IPO actually comes so the stocks are given to the investor and let

say if there is under-subscription of any kind let's say to an extent of 10 Million

Dollars.

So these 10 Million Dollars worth of stocks will be absorbed by investment bank so we

are essentially saying that the investment bank will actually buy this share and sale

that appropriate time in order to make a profit.

So underwriting means that essentially you guaranteeing that any amount of under-subscription

will be absorbed by the investment bank and obviously as you can see that the investment

bank is assuming financial risk, the financial risk could be that let's say IOP was not

success full so the investment bank may have to buy the stock to an extent it was undersubscribed

and let's say the stocks stang after some time so that's a huge risk for investment

bank.

So that's why when we talk about underwriting investment banks actually charge hefty fees

during the underwriting scenarios and in this process they have to actually talk in detail

with risk department as well compliance department about amount of risk or quantum of risk that

the investment banks can take with respect to underwriting.

So with this we have understood underwriting as one of the most important function

She and Nordstrom have shared that they have removed the pieces in question from the line and as of today, officially launched the rest of the highly anticipated collection

We caught up with Danielle to find out a little more about her inspiration for the collection and how it all got started

How did it start? "I've always wanted to create jewelry at an affordable price point since that is one of the most common requests from my followers

The Lulu DK team reached out to me at a great time. Our aesthetics aligned perfectly so I knew it would be a dream collaboration

"  What was your biggest inspiration for the collection? "I pulled inspiration from the fine jewelry I found myself always wearing

Life is crazy what do I do? - Duration: 5:45.

Hello everyone, welcome back to....

Okay

This week there is nothing special

But there is just one thing that I want to say

In life, have you ever felt like you are just too busy?

Well, life gets crazy

Life itself is crazy

But, you know there's a saying

When life gives you lemon

Make a lemonade!

The thing is, to make a good lemonade, if you want it to be nice

You need sugar

You need to mix it with water, not just the lemon

So there's a lot of things needed to make the lemonade

In this situation for me

This past week I was sick and I don't have time to make video

What I've been trying to do

and what Grace often told me

I need to make a plan

a solid plan and not just a plan in my head

I'm a very visual person, so.....

I need to look at something tat I can refer to

So today I'm going to try and make

DIY calendar from a whiteboard!!!

So yeah, here we go!!!

Okay, so a few things that you need

to make the DIY calendar

of course you need the whiteboard itself

and then

depending on how big the whiteboard is

you need a measuring tape

and...what I found out is

ahh, I forgot what is this called

Okay soo

and washi tape

so washi tape is basically like

sticky tape but it's easier to peel off

and it doesn't leave any mark

and you can choose what color you want

there's a lot of colors here

so the colors there and measuring tape

and the whiteboard itself

so I've started making it halfway

this is what I've come up with at the moment

and I still need to continue this

and the measuring tape is for measurement *d'oh"

Even though I think this is still uneven

and the most important

while you are doing all these

there are two things

One, we need coffee while doing the work

and also we need snack

and today I have

Bika Ambon!!!

So yeah, I'm going to continue the work

Hopefully it will turn out good

Okay there is one important thing that I forgot to mention

to continue this work we need cutter

to cut the extra lines that we don't need, but...

I don't have a cutter at home

and we have to make do with whatever we have

so I have this small scissors

what kind of scissors is this?

I usually used this to trim my nose hair

Guys...Intermezzo

Do you know what kind of action is lying to your friend?

That is a very....

despiteful action *indo pun alert*

Guys...another intermezzo

Do guys know an old Britney Spears' song

not "Hit me baby one more time"

there is another one that is quite famous

You don't know?

Here, let me sing it for you, the song is

*lame pun alert*

Okay guys, after quite a while

it's finally done

This is how it look like

and the good thing about this is...

so if we had change month

we can easily change it

we can erase it

then we can change the date and month

we can put my "to do list" here, here and here

and this is probably the important stuff

or whatever, I don't know

what to do with this space

but yeah, basically it look like this, it's not perfect

but I think it's good enough and probably...

I need colorful marker so that it looks prettier

so yeah that's it for this week

and hopefully this will help

for my planning stage going forward

of things that I wanted to do and things that I can do

I have a lot of things that I want to do

But can't do due to my poor time management, hopefully this would help

and yeah that's it

Alright, see you guys next week, byeeee

NCT 127 Talks About What Their Popularity Was Like In School - Duration: 2:29.

NCT 127 discussed their popularity during school on SBS funE's "School Attack 2018

"  The SM boy group was the first performer of the new show and surprised a school in Jeonju

Soompi.Display.News.English.300x250.BTF Soompi.Mobile.English.300x250.ATF  When asked what their popularity was like when they were in school, the boys modestly replied they were all very timid

Then Taeil pointed to Doyoung and reported, "He's one of Guri's top six [popular people]

" Doyoung laughed in disbelief, and all eyes became focused on him.  SECHSKIES's Eun Ji Won asked if he had given that nickname to himself or if someone else had labeled him that, and Taeil quipped, "Himself

Ever since his trainee days." Doyoung denied it with wide eyes and stood up to demand, "What's wrong with you? He's exaggerating since he's on TV!"  To top it off, Johnny claimed, "[Doyoung] was the vice president of his school

" Doyoung quietly admitted that much was true.  Eun Ji Won asked if he knew the other top popular students as well, and this time, Doyoung shamelessly replied, "Actually, I'm the top one

" Hosts Eun Ji Won and Highlight's Son Dong Woon looked both envious and amazed by his popularity

The State We're In: What is Democratic Socialism? | Connecting Point | June 22, 2018 - Duration: 7:57.

>> DEMOCRATIC SOCIALISM WAS A PHRASE BATTED AROUND IN THE 2016

PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION.

BUT WHAT DOES IT MEAN?

FOR AN ANSWER TO THAT QUESTION, I SPOKE TO THREE PEOPLE FROM

THIS REGION WHO CALL THEMSELVES DEMOCRATIC SOCIALISTS.

MEGHAN LEMAN, EDWARD COLLINS JR AND DAVE LAR-TEEG.

>> GOT ALARMED TOWARDS THE END OF THE 2016 PRESIDENTIAL

CAMPAIGN.

NOT JUST AT THE OUTCOME BUT WHAT WAS LEADING UP TO IT.

A LOT OF PEOPLE FELT THAT THERE WAS NOT AN ADEQUATE ALTERNATIVE

TO CAPITALISM GOING ON.

THE BERNIE SANDERS CAMPAIGN REALLIEE ELECTRIFIED A LOT OF

PEOPLE AND INTRODUCED THEM TO THE IDEA THERE WAS ALTERNATIVE

TO THE SYSTEM WE HAD BEEN PROCEEDING UNDER THE IDEA IT WAS

CARVED IN STONE.

>> HOW DID YOU BECOME AWARE OF THIS?

WAS IT BERNIE SANDERS THAT CALLED ATTENTION TO IT OR

RESEARCH ON YOUR OWN?

>> AT FIRST I BECAME FAMILIAR WITH THE STRUGGLES AGAINST

RACISM AND THE FIGHT AGAINST RACISM IN THE PIONEER VALLEY.

THAT'S WHAT FIRST ATTRACTED ME TO ACTIVISM AND SOCIALISM.

ONCE I LEARNED MORE ABOUT THAT AND LEARNED THAT THE CONNECTION

TO CAPITALISM AND HOW IT ACTUALLY CREATES THIS INEQUALITY

AND BENEFITS FROM THAT INEQUALITY, THAT'S WHAT

MOTIVATED ME TO BECOME A SOCIALIST AND ACTIVE IN A

POLITICAL ORGANIZATION.

>> SO WHEN WE LOOK AT THIS WORD, THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO CERTAINLY

LOOK AT THIS IN A VERY NEGATIVE THING FOR THEM.

AND CERTAIN STEREOTYPES ATTACHED TO IT.

AND THERE'S VIDEO ON THE DSA WEB SITE.

I'LL HAVE US TAKE A QUICK LOOK AT IT.

>> DEMOCRATIC SOCIALISM.

I KNOW YOU KNOW YOU THINK IT IS FROR STRONG MEN WITH MUSTACHES.

>> IN THAT VIDEO, STRONG MEN WITH ELABORATE MUSTACHES AND

FRENCH COLLEGE STUDENTS.

HOW DO YOU DEFINE THIS MOVEMENT?

>> DEMOCRATIC SOCIALISM AND VERY OFTEN IT GETS MENTIONED

WITHOUT THE WORD DEMOCRATIC WHICH IS A MISTAKE.

REALLY ABOUT A FAIR ECONOMY THAT WORKS FOR EVERYBODY.

ISN'T MORE COMPLICATED THAN THAT.

>> BERNIE SANDERS OFTEN SAYS HE DEFINES HIMSELF AS A SOCIALIST.

>> WHEN HE'S CHALLENGED, HE SAYS DEMOCRATIC SOCIALISM.

WE BELIEVE IN DSA IN EVERY ORGANIZATION DOESN'T SUBSCRIBE

TO A PART OF THIS BUT WE BELIEVE ANY SOCIALISM IS ARRIVED AT

ANYTHING EXCEPT A DEMOCRATIC MEANS TO UNIVERSAL SUFFORAGE AND

GETTING SUPPORT IS NOT GOING TO BE LASTING.

>> FOR PEOPLE WHO SEE THIS AS A NEGATIVE THING CONCERNED IT WILL

NOT HELP THIS COUNTRY, THEY SEE IT AS IT'S A COMPLEX IDEOLOGY

BUT SOMETHING THAT WOULD INHIBIT INNOVATION AND LIMIT PERSONAL

FREEDOM.

>> WE CANNOT HAVE SOCIALISM WITHOUT DEMOCRACY.

IT WOULD ACTUALLY CREATE MORE FREEDOM, MORE DEMOCRACY.

THAT HAS TO BE FUNDAMENTAL TO WHAT SOCIALISM IS.

AND WE SEE THAT IT NEEDS TO COME FROM BELOW.

>> WE'RE DEALING WITH DECADES OF PROPAGANDA AGAINST THE IDEA OF

SOCIALISM.

THIS IDEA THAT SOCIALISM IS A SYSTEM IN WHICH EVERYTHING IS

TAKEN AND BROUGHT UP TO A PARTY BOSS AND REDISTRIBUTED TO A FEW

PEOPLE.

THAT'S CAPITALISM.

THAT'S HOW CAPITALISM WORKS.

THE PROBLEM WITH SOCIALISM IS YOU RUN OUT OF OTHER PEOPLE'S

MONEY.

THAT'S CAPITALISM PROBLEM.

YOU CAN ONLY VACUUM UP WEALTH TO THE 1% FOR SO LONG BEFORE

THERE'S NO MORE TO BE HAD.

A LOT OF THE CRITICISMS OF SOCIALISM THAT THE MEDIA AND THE

PUNDANT CLASS HAVE PUT FORTH IS ACTUALLY A VERY STRONG CRITICISM

OF CAPITALISM ITSELF AND DOESN'T APPLY TO SOCIALISM.

>> SO I KNOW THE DEMOCRATIC SOCIALISTS OF AMERICA, THIS IS

NOT THE FIRST TIME THERE'S BEEN A PIONEER VALLEY CHAPTER.

HOW IS THIS CHAPTER NOW DIFFERENT AND WILL IT BE

LASTING?

>> THE REASON IT'S PIONEER VALLEY IS WE WANTED TO EXTEND

THIS NOT JUST IN THE NORTH PART OF THE VALLEY WHERE THERE IS A

LOT OF PROGRESSIVE ACTIVISM AND SO FORTH BUT ALSO IN PLACES

WHERE IT CAN DO THE MOST GOOD.

AND FOCUSING ON THE SPREAD BEYOND NORTH HAMPTON AND

SOMETHING HAS BEEN GOOD FOR US.

>> I THINK THAT'S RIGHT.

ALSO, WE CANNOT IGNORE WHAT'S REFERRED TO AS THE BERNIE BUMP.

DSA INCREASED MEMBERSHIP BY 600% IN 18 MONTHS.

AND IT IS WHAT THEY'VE ALREADY MENTIONED THAT THIS TIME AROUND

IS REACHED OUT BEYOND THE COLLEGE COMMUNITIES AND ALWAYS

HAD ROOTS BUT HAD A VERY TRANSIENT MEMBERSHIP.

AND THEY MOVE AWAY.

ONCE YOU BRANCH OUT INTO THE LOWER VALLEY INTO THE MORE

INDUSTRIAL COMMUNITIES.

IT'S A GOOD THING.

IT HAS THE POTENTIAL TO LAST LONGER.

MOST OF THAT GROWTH NOT ALL OF IT IS HAS BEEN AMONG

MILLENNIALS.

AND THEY ARE ENTERING THEIR WORKING YEARS UNDER A VERY

DIFFERENT SET OF CIRCUMSTANCES THAT -- WHERE THERE WAS PLENTY

OF ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY AND IF YOU DIDN'T LIKE THE JOB THAT YOU

HAD IN A FACTORY IN 1950s OR 60s, YOU WALKED DOWN THE STREET

AND GOT ANOTHER ONE.

WE HAVE A GENERATION OF YOUNG PEOPLE WHO HAVE A DANGEROUS

COMBINATION.

HIGHLY EDUCATED AND HIGHLY SKILLED.

THEY ARE BROKE BECAUSE THEY ARE BURDENED WITH STUDENT DEBT AND

AREN'T THE ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITIES THAT WERE THERE

FOR EARLIER GENERATIONS.

THEY HAVE A CLEAR PERCEPTION OF WHY THAT IS.

AND I THINK THAT'S WHY THEY ARE MOVING IN THE DIRECTION OF A

DEMOCRATIC SOCIALIST SOLUTION.

>> ONE LAST QUESTION.

I'VE SEEN AMONG DEMOCRATIC SOCIALISTS THIS CONCEPT AGAIN

AND AGAIN AND WE WANT TO CHANGE THE WORLD.

WHAT WOULD THAT WORLD LOOK LIKE?

>> IT'S A GREAT QUESTION.

I THINK IT WOULD BE A WORLD WHERE PEOPLE CAN WAKE UP

EVERYDAY AND NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT HOW THEY ARE GOING TO PAY

THEIR RENT OR BUY GROCERIES OR BUY THEIR KIDS NEW SHOES.

FULL EMPLOYMENT FOR EVERYONE WHO WANTS A JOB.

THAT THEY WOULDN'T HAVE TO BE STRESSED ABOUT LOSING THEIR JOB.

PURSUE THINGS, ART OR MUSIC THEY WANT TO PURSUE.

FREEDOM FROM DEPORTATION, RACISM AND EXISM THAT PEOPLE EXPERIENCE

HERE.

>> THANKS FOR YOUR TIME TODAY.
