5 Winter Trends To Wear Now | Men's Fashion Trends Winter 2019 - Duration: 4:17.
What's up, guys? I'm Brian Sacawa, you're watching He Spoke Style, and today I'm
showing you five winter trends to wear right now.
[MUSIC]
First up, trend number one. White
pants. Now, looking through the London and Pitti street style photos, I saw a lot
of guys wearing white trousers or white jeans, like I'm wearing here. White pants
are typically seen as more of a summer thing, which I think makes them even more
unexpected and impactful when worn in the wintertime. White pants are a blank
slate, which means that pretty much anything goes in terms of the rest of
your outfit. With this look, I kept it kind of preppy and sporty with a classic
navy peacoat, denim button-up shirt, and navy silk knit tie. Now, because it is
colder out, I layered in a cardigan, which also gives a little bit of a color
contrast. The scarf is by Drake's. More to add in some pattern than to
actually stay warm. Watch is the Cartier Tank Americaine. And suede tassel loafers
are by Morjas. Trend number two is all about doing more with less.
Dressing tonally means that you are building an outfit around a single color.
And it's really amazing how much of a statement you can make with this kind of
simplicity. When you're building a look like this, you want to choose colors in
the same family, but not the exact same colors. You can see here that the browns
in the jacket, turtleneck, pants, pocket square, and shoes are all different. Now,
another trick to dressing like this is to add in some pattern. My blazer has a
very small houndstooth, or puppytooth, pattern, which helps to add some interest
and break up the monotony of a single- color look. One place I did not use brown
is on my wrist. This is the A. Lange & Söhne Datograph. Well, from doing more
with less to doing more with more. Trend number three is the statement coat. I
think it's always good to have, in your outerwear collection, one big, bold
statement piece. This coat with the big houndstooth
pattern is by Michael Andrews Bespoke. It also has a raglan sleeve, which is
another thing that I saw a lot of in many of the street style photos. Best way
to style a statement piece is to keep the rest of your outfit simple. My blazer
by Jake Mueser and pants by Michael Andrews Bespoke are both flannel and in
solid colors. I did throw in a little pattern with a stripe of my shirt and
very subtle check pattern in the tie. Watch is, again,
the Tank Americaine. And leather tassel loafers are by Johnston & Murphy. Trend
number four. Wearing a turtleneck underneath a button-up shirt. For me, this
style is very reminiscent of a look with an ascot. It has that same sort of
elegance and poise to it. However, I will say that this look does come with a high
degree of difficulty. You've kind of got to get it just right to pull it off.
First, because it does remind me of an ascot, it makes me think ultra classic.
Charcoal flannel pants, white OCBD, and a little bit of sartorial flair with this
gun check blazer. Unbuttoning the shirt. Now, you could do this a couple different
ways, but I prefer to have a few buttons unbuttoned. I think it lends itself well
to making it feel a little more casual and less stuffy. One final thing I think
is important is to have some pattern. Obviously, I have the check of the blazer.
And then the subtle herringbone of my coat, which is by Ring Jacket. Finally,
trend number five. Wearing a button-up shirt underneath a turtleneck. This is
not something that I saw a lot of, but I did spot it on a friend of mine, Matt
Hranek, who is the men's style editor at CN Traveler. It's a very subtle flourish
and it's also something that I think is pretty unexpected. It's also kind of
practical because it does really give you a nice extra layer of warmth around
the neck. Now, speaking of warmth. The suede shearling trucker jacket by Valstar is
also extremely warm. And keeping with the kind of rugged, urban explorer theme here,
I have on some classic Levi's 511s. My Rolex GMT Master on the wrist. And
finished off with these great oxblood boots by Bostonian. Alright, there you
have it! Five winter trends that I am personally feeling this season. You know,
trends play a very, very, very small role in the vocabulary of my personal style.

Malia And Sasha's Stunning Fashion Since Leaving The White House - Duration: 4:18.
Malia and Sasha Obama are no longer in the immediate public eye, but we've still seen
some amazing fashion from the two young women since their dad left office.
Here are some of the former first kids' greatest hits.
"The first time you see your daughter in heels is a little bit jarring."
"Ya."
While they weren't technically out of the White House yet, the Obamas went to Hawaii
over the winter holidays during their final vacation in office, visiting the troops before
heading home just after the New Year.
Malia stepped off the plane at Andrews Air Force Base looking comfy-yet-chic, sporting
all-black except for her amazing wine-colored puffer jacket.
Sasha wore a fleece-lined denim jacket over her outfit with trendy, black-framed glasses.
Fashionable after a long flight, that's the dream.
Malia's look while traveling to Chicago to attend her father's last major speech as president
was definitely a standout.
The elegant outfit she'd later reveal at the farewell address was hidden from view, but
she topped it off with a gorgeous Phillip Lim camel-colored coat, a rich brown leather
travel bag, and a structured black handbag.
Sasha stayed behind in Washington because she had a test the next day at school, according
to Us Weekly, but Malia was very much in attendance with her understated black and white dress
by Cinq a Sept paired with sheer black tights, black ankle boots, and a black choker necklace.
Then-President Barack Obama honored then-Vice President Joe Biden with the Presidential
Medal of Freedom on January 12, 2017 in the White House State Dining Room, and both Malia
and Sasha attended the ceremony.
Malia looked elegant in navy, while Sasha showed off her great taste in a complementary
navy, white, and gold patterned dress.
These sisters certainly don't always dress alike, but when they wear complementary outfits,
they both definitely make the best-dressed list.
Malia journeyed into the entertainment industry in January 2017 when she secured an internship
with the now-disgraced Weinstein Company in the months before beginning classes at Harvard.
While she's since moved on to bigger, brighter, and less-controversial adventures, let us
not forget this adorably casual outfit which Malia was spotted wearing while walking into
work in April 2017.
Sporting an army-green, collared shift dress and black, red, and white sneakers, the eldest
Obama daughter was all smiles on her stroll to work.
If only we could all look this effortlessly put-together on weekday mornings!
"It's really working!"
In June 2017, the Obamas visited Indonesia, and while visiting the Tirta Empul Temple,
Sasha, Malia, and Michelle donned yellow sarongs over their clothing, which is the custom when
visiting holy sites, according to InStyle.
But the Obama sisters also mixed high and low fashion to great effect while in Bali:
Sasha wore a simple black spaghetti-strapped blouse and a tourist-y baseball cap, but looked
fierce in her trendy aviators, while Malia sported a $139 Alexander Wang t-shirt, leggings,
and an identity-masking baseball cap of her own.
In July 2018, Malia Obama and her fellow Ivy Leaguer boyfriend Rory Farquharson were spotted
taking an evening stroll and window shopping in London.
Malia wore a white mini-dress with a lace-up corset bodice for the date, which she paired
with black booties and layered necklaces.
With long tresses nearly reaching her waist, this former first daughter looked every bit
the part of a boho queen.
"But Malia, guess what?
You don't sit up straight and I do!"
Born on July 4, 1998, Malia Obama probably doesn't remember much, if any, of the 1990s.
However, she certainly paid homage to the decade in March 2017.
Wearing an oversized, multi-color windbreaker, white sneakers, and cuffed "mom jeans," Sasha's
older sister looked like a model straight out of a '90s clothing catalog.
Malia let her hair down for the day, quite literally, as she took a stroll with some
gal pals around New York City.
Now that Malia and Sasha have grown up and left the White House, they have more control
over their fashion and sense of style than ever before.
They're no longer in the public eye as frequently as they used to be and they're no longer members
of the first family.

A friend even went as far as to label the Duchess of Sussex an "avocado toast whisperer", leaving us mere mortals scratching our head at the term
The average avocado costs 85p to £1 in UK supermarkets, with two portions per fruit, with a slice of bread mere pennies
But one thing is for certain, the meal - served on a silver platter with black tea – was a far cry from being budget
Tea was served black for Meghan's pal and in a £25 stoneware teapot designed by super-fashionable Soho Farmhouse
Matching cups and saucers cost £12 each. And brunch was served alongside a box of truffles
The dish revealed two things - the American is a pro in the kitchen and despite Meghan having settled into life as a British royal, she rather enjoys an off-grid Sunday brunch
Daniel Martin, a celebrity make-up artist, posted an envy-inducing snap of the meal prepared for him by Meghan
The Instagram picture prompted a flurry of likes among 113,000 followers of the New Yorker and fans of the royal family
With the snap, he captioned the photo: "Back to our Tig days. Thank you Meghan for being the consummate hostess this weekend and still being the #avocadotoastwhisperer, YUM! #foodie #foodiegram
" The Tig reference relates to the former Suits star and Deal or No Deal briefcase model's now defunct lifestyle blog
Meghan recently let slip she was six months pregnant, with her first child due in April
She wed Prince Harry at a star-studded ceremony attended by Mr Martin, who perfected her trademark 'messy bun' for the occasion
Celebrities at the ceremony event were Oprah Winfrey, George and Amal Clooney and tennis star Serena Williams

Royal experts have waded into speculation of a major row between the Harry and William's wives, by insisting that the pregnant Duchess of Sussex has been "cast as a Disney villain"
Journalist Yomi Adegoke said that while the duchesses may behave "comparably", the reaction from royal fans will always be very different

" The royal women have long been compared against each other ever since Meghan, 37, became the Royal Family's newest member last year
But comparisons reached fever pitch amid speculation they are feuding. Reported tensions between Kate and Meghan are said to be the reason for a growing rift between Princes Harry and William
Meghan Markle and Harry sparked speculation of a fall out with the Cambridges when they revealed plans to move away from Kensington Palace
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have lived in their cosy Nottingham Cottage next door to Prince William and Kate since they announced their engagement in November 2017
But they are moving out of London to Frogmore Cottage in Windsor ahead of the birth of their first child in spring 2019
The move means they will be 20 miles away from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, William and Kate, and their three children: George, Charlotte and Louis
And Meghan's recent announcement she will be giving birth in April was quickly followed by the news she has rejected the Lindo Wing, the private maternity ward where the Duchess of Cambridge had all three of her children, fuelled further rumours of a split between the two young Royal wives
The Duchess of Sussex has also reportedly been given the unflattering nickname 'Duchess Difficult' due to how demanding she is
The reports emerged after the resignations of three staff members working for Meghan
