Hey awesome ones. Well I'm hoping this video is going to be a video of
inspiration for you and I'm standing in front of the Phoenix tree. Sue, one of
our wonderful subscribers, called it the Phoenix tree. What she mentioned
to me is Phoenix means to rise up and start again and you know what, if you're
feeling old I'm hoping that this video is going to really inspire you to just
rise up and start again and find your authentic self and let's go.
So I'll let you in with a little secret I'm going to be 63 in a few days.
That means in two years I'm going to be able to get old-age pension. So by the
sounds of things it's time to cut off all my hair and wear muu muus.
Not gonna do that. Hey if you want to cut off all your hair and that's your choice,
go for it. If you want to wear those long tent dress muu muus go for it. All I'm
saying in this video is be your authentic self.
Who cares what age you are.So that's what I'm going to talk about, so maybe
all the labels of age have held you back. Maybe you really want to put that purple
streak in your hair or you have this amazing quote and you you want to put a
little tattoo right about here with your amazing quote. Go for it. Hey, I'm not
saying to be something you're not. Don't try to look 18 and wear some hot pants
and you know Daisy Duke shorts and that sort of thing. Like that's not what I'm
saying and hey I know there's situations where we have to wear our uniform, our
conservative look to work, or maybe we've been invited to the royal wedding and
yeah you better dress a little bit on the conservative side for that, but for
your fun time, your date time, your friend time, I'm saying.....you know what I'm saying?
I'm saying there's body shaming, I'm also saying I think there's age shaming. So put
it to the side when they tell you...you can't wear jeans after 50. Put that to
the side. If they say you can't put a streak in your hair....whatever.....let's be
ourselves and let's start with my five top ones for me. So my number one age
defying authentic me thing.....I am NOT cutting my hair. Am I gonna get it
trimmed? Oh yeah. It's important to get my hair trimmed, but
cutting it all off? Not for me. I love my hair I I've had it long hair for most of
my adult life and it's almost become a bit of a signature look for me. Also all
these amazing curls are coming in now which I never really had before. So I'm
loving that and one more thing. Bill thinks it's sexy. And you know what?
We've been together for over 20 years and if my best friend likes it I also
like it. So my number two age defying authentic self thing is kind of weirdly....
I'm letting my silver hair shine through. Now a lot of people have said to me, oh
no, no no Heather, you know what....like do it all blonde again, it looks so much
younger on you and that sort of thing. And I'm saying no. Like my hair has never
been this healthy. I mean it's so wonderful and what I do is I put some
silver or sorry, put some gold or blonde streaks in it to kind of match up
with some of the color down here, but the important thing about my hair is the
fact that it's...it's healthy. I love it....it's because of the naturalness got this
amazing curl to it and besides have you checked out some of the 18 and 20
year-olds. They got silver hair. I'm actually going with a trend. So my third
age defying kind of being me thing is....hoodies and jeans. I know not supposed to.....
well I've actually read this, you're not supposed to wear jeans over 50. Like who
made up that rule. Jeans are so comfy and especially these boyfriend jeans that I
have. These bad boys are stretchy. I wear them with a pair of ked's shoes, so super
comfy and the hoodie, not only do I love it....it's so comfy,
but it's really practical because you know what. If it's raining outside I got
my little hood and if my hands are cold my little pockets
here. You can't tell me not to wear this outfit cuz I'm gonna do it. So my fourth
authentic self age-defying thing is..... wearing a lot of jewelry. Hey I've got
nothing....lots of times I just wear, wear a single necklace or maybe even a string
of pearls or something like that, but you know what? I'm a child of the 60's. I was
like almost hippie generation people, so this bohemian look that I got going on
with lots of jewelry it sold me. So you know I've got the
bangles, I have the extra rings, I wear toe rings sometimes with sandals and
earrings and like I'll just put it all together and feel rather bohemian like
with it all and I've even got these. If you take a really good look at them,
they are ankle bracelets which I love, but so retro so 1960s and do I wear
ankle bracelets? I sure do. So my fifth tip this is for me or for my
authentic self and hopefully you're finding some of these ideas pretty good
is..... get retro! Actually no. Not get retro. Get on trend and when I say on trend, a
lot of things are retro and there is a saying and I don't know who makes up
these things, but somebody made up saying and it says: if you wore it back then, you
cannot wear it now. Well see this fringe jacket? I wore it back in the 70s and see
this retro dress, yep I wore that kind of look in the 60s and the same thing goes
with the old-fashioned sneakers or even those boyfriend jeans. So I guess I
got a little passionate about this video because I think it's really important
that we are our authentic selves and true to who we are. So hey if, if you've
got something maybe it's your tattoo or maybe it's your hair or maybe it's just
something about you that you really feel is you and it has nothing to do with age,

sharing. If you're finding yourself in the frumpy section in the stores and
that sort of thing and you went, light bulb moment, you know I think that I'm
going to change a little bit. I think I'm just going to be my authentic self I'm
so so happy for that and maybe I got your mojo going or whatever, but hey
we're not too old to rock this world and speaking about rocking this world, our
Little Hurricane he certainly rocks our world and he is also very true to being
his authentic self. You know if he was a human, people would say to him hey you're
only six pounds and you have these little legs that look like chicken legs
with fur on them. You shouldn't be barking at big dogs, but he's a protector.
He's a terrier, he's true to his authentic self and he does a really good
job. We have to try to control him sometimes with the barking, but he really
feels that he's a big guy, so good for you Hurricane. And good for all of our
subscribers - hey you guys you know when we see those subscriber counts coming up
really puts a smile on our face it inspires us to keep doing the Tuesday
videos which are more life style and of course the fashion and beauty videos on
Friday and Bill and I and Little Hurricane are just thanking you from the

Bei der Preisverleihung werden jedes Jahr Designer und kreative Köpfe der Traumwerkstatt ausgezeichnet
Außerdem diente der Rote Teppich als Schauplatz für jede Menge und Sternchen. Der große Gewinner des Abends war der 42-jährige Designer Jeremy Scott, der als „Kreativer des Jahres" ausgezeichnet wurde
Derzeit ist Scott als Chefdesigner des Modehauses Moschino tätig. Außerdem leitet er sein eigenes Label mit dem Namen „Jeremy Scott" und ist bekannt für seine langjährige Zusammenarbeit mit dem deutschen Unternehmen Adidas
Schon auf dem roten Teppich wurde der Star-Designer gefeiert und freute sich über ein Küsschen von Paris Jackson (Tochter von Michael Jackson) und Frances Bean Cobain (Tochter von Kurt Cobain)
