What is NASAMS (National Advanced Surface to Air Missile System) and why India To Buy It - Duration: 2:54.

The National Advanced Surface to Air Missile System (NASAMS) is a medium-range, network-centric

air defence system designed and developed jointly by Raytheon and Kongsberg Defence

& Aerospace, primarily for the Royal Norwegian Air Force.

The system can be deployed to identify, engage and destroy aircraft, helicopters, cruise

missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), as well as protect high-value assets and mass

population centres against air-to-surface threats.

The missile system is in service with the Royal Norwegian Air Force, the Dutch Army,

the Spanish Army and the US National Capital Region, Finland and an undisclosed nation.

Raytheon and Kongsberg entered into a ten-year agreement in June 2015 to expand their partnership

on NASAMS until 2025.

NASAMS 2, an upgraded version of the NASAMS, uses new radars and 12 missile launchers for

quicker identification and destruction of the targets.

The upgraded system has been in service since 2007 and ordered by a number of countries,

including Norway, Finland and the Netherlands.

The NASAMS air defence system features network centric, open architecture that provides increased

survivability against electronic countermeasures.

The missile system can engage 72 targets simultaneously in active and passive modes.

The primary weapon of the system is AIM-120 AMRAAM.

Raytheon MPQ-64F1 Sentinel high-resolution, 3D pencil beam surveillance radar is fitted

to the NASAMS to detect and track the targets.

The missile system is also fitted with AMRAAM launchers and a passive electro-optic (EO)

and infra-red (IR) sensor, hard-real-time communication network and an embedded and

stand alone mission planning tool.

The Spanish Army successfully conducted a live-fire exercise of the NASAMS with four

AMRAAMs in November 2008.

A tactical live-fire exercise of NASAMS was conducted by the Royal Norwegian Air Force

in June 2011.

The air defence system successfully test fired AIM-9X Sidewinder short-range air-to-air missile

in 2011.

The Royal Norwegian Air Force conducted a test firing of ground-based Evolved Sea Sparrow

Missile (ESSM) from the NASAMS in July 2012.

The NASAMS is equipped with three multi-mission launchers, each carrying up to six ready-to-fire

missiles inside the protective canisters.

It can be carried on truck and rail.

The system features a 360 degree defence capability and is suitable for day and night, all-weather

operations.

What is the Answer? 🎧 | iamkevw 015 - Duration: 4:27.

Perhaps, it is because I'm fortunate to live in peaceful times that I am able to have thoughts

like these: about purpose, fulfillment, and what it means to be an adult.

I'm blessed to have options, rather than having to fend off enemies and scavenging for food.

For that, I am truly grateful.

I've always wondered if there was a single answer to all of the questions in the world.

Indeed, it is presumptuous to hold such a thought.

How could one action possibly end every problem?

It exists.

I'm hopeful.

Maybe not one answer to rid of all burden, but rather a single trigger to set off a domino

effect that leads to the next answer.

In "The One Thing," by Gary Keller, I've learnt to break every obstacle down to micro-problems

repeatedly, eventually arriving with a single task such that by taking care of said task

will cause every other obstacle to be done with ease, or even be unnecessary.

We, humans, have the ability to project into the future and create simulations, without

having to experience the event in reality to come to a conclusion.

Whether that conclusion is correct or not is a different story.

"Will she reject me, if I ask her out?"

"She definitely has a boyfriend."

"Should I even bother cooking?"

"It's going to taste disgusting."

We can predict the outcome even before taking initiative; however, a prediction is only

just a prediction.

It is not reality.

In order to know, we have to take action.

"Can we really live in space, someday?"

Once upon a time, reaching the moon wasn't even feasible.

Nowadays, we launch satellites into the outer solar system.

It started with us questioning with what was beyond our planet.

That question was taken to be repeatedly tested and refined.

We acted on every possibility.

We rejected what was inaccurate.

This refining process is used in AI research.

Deep learning has the program perform simulations after simulations.

The computer learns at tremendous pace.

Although we cannot create such rapid experiments on our own, we can learn from the mistakes

of others.

We can study the teachings of our predecessors and innovate from the existing resources we

hold currently.

A lot of the time we struggle to reach a conclusion to a complex problem.

We think a grand riddle, requires an equally elegant response.

Many of those times the solution ends up being quite trivial.

It begins with an idea.

Then, we execute.

We continue to improve and polish the idea.

We repeat the process.

Perhaps, there is an answer to all of our questions.

Perhaps, the answer is Time.

Shopper 'saves life of baby who was left in Asda carpark in heatwave' - 247 news - Duration: 5:03.

A hero shopper saved a baby boy left in a supermarket car park in 88F heat - after a security guard refused to break into the vehicle over fears he would lose his job

Jenna Langston, forced the boot of the car open when she saw the three-month-old 'dripping in sweat' outside Asda in Barnes Hill, Birmingham

The baby was left trapped inside the vehicle with no windows open during last week's searing heat

The 33-year-old care worker says she was forced to take action after a security guard said freeing the baby would be 'breaking and entering'

It took the little boy's mother 50 minutes to return to the vehicle, despite announcements inside the supermarket

Ms Langston, of Kings Norton, Birmingham, said: 'I saw a guard standing by a black car and initially thought: 'I hope no-one's left a dog in there

''I had already heard a tannoy announcement giving a registration plate while I was inside the store and quite a bit of time had passed since then

But a guard said a baby was inside.'I dropped my shopping and ran over to the car

I said the baby needed to come out straight away - it was 31C (88F). 'But the guard said they couldn't break in because it would be classed as breaking and entering

'I said I didn't care and I was going to get the baby out. The guard said: 'We can't help you do that

I could lose my job.''All the doors were locked and none of the windows were open

'I forced the boot and threw bags and everything else out to get access to the baby

'I got myself into the boot and put my top half over the back seat. He was dripping with sweat - his babygrow was like it had been through the washing machine

'I opened the doors to let some air in and someone else asked if I wanted to sit in their car with the baby as it had air conditioning

Then the police and paramedics arrived. Share this article Share 'I handed the baby over to the ambulance crew

They said he seemed fine but they had to take him to hospital.'There was still no sign of the car driver - it had been around 50 minutes by now

Then she appeared, walking slowly back to her car.'I screamed at her and asked what she had been thinking

I was really distressed. But she just looked at the floor.'I'm still shaken now - I haven't slept properly for a few nights

'    The fuming shopper also wrote on Facebook after the ordeal: 'WTAF There's some really d****** people in this world

'I have just broke into to someone's car to get a 2 month old beautiful baby boy out of it in this ridiculous 31 degree heat he was soaking wet as his so called mother was shopping in Asda for over 1 hour 'I am shaking I swear to god the ambulance fire engine and police were there before she even came out

'She was praised for her rescue by people on social media, who left over 100 comments on her post

Police and paramedics rushed to the supermarket and the baby was taken to hospital for checks after the shocking incident last Thursday

A West Midlands Police spokesman said: 'The parent of the baby have been spoken to and appropriate measures have been put in place to ensure the child is not at any risk

'An Asda spokesman told MailOnline: 'We're investigating to find out exactly what happened, but we would never punish a colleague for trying to do the right thing

We're pleased that the baby is safe and well.'

What Spanish media were saying about Arthur after his remarkable Barca debut v Spurs - Duration: 3:49.

Football News24/7  Barcelona fans are probably very happy with how the summer has gone - and it's not necessarily all about what has happened at the Camp Nou

With Cristiano Ronaldo leaving Real Madrid for Juventus and Los Blancos so far failing to adequately replace him, Barca will hope that their El Clasico rivals have been severely weakened

Not to mention manager Zinedine Zidane resigning and being replaced by Julen Lopetegui

As for Barcelona's own transfer business, they've brought in defender Clement Lenglet, winger Malcom and midfielder Arthur

And it was the latter who everyone was talking about on Saturday night.  Barca took on Spurs in the International Champions Cup and triumphed on penalties

But the La Liga side were 2-0 ahead within half an hour.  Munir El Haddadi nodded in after just 15 minutes and it was new signing Arthur that doubled their lead with a sensational strike

Rafinha laid the ball back to the Brazilian, who curled the ball delightfully past Paulo Gazzaniga

What a goal.  And what a performance.  Check out a video of his individual highlights against Spurs:  It wasn't just his goal but, during his 45 minutes on the pitch, he was brilliant

In fact, he was so good that the Spanish media were raving about him.  Barca ran with the headline: "It seems like he played for Barcelona all his life

"  But it didn't stop there.  Sport wrote: "The former Gremio player was, from the beginning of the game, the most prominent of the new Barcelona signings

Arthur's wonderful performance explains why Barca fell in love with him."  Meanwhile, AS praised Arthur's debut by noting: "The first half was remarkable and Arthur stood out," while Mundo Deportivo said: "Arthur Melo could not have a better debut with Barca

"  Sounds like the media in Spain are already loving Arthur after just 45 minutes

Vad är religion? | What is religion? - Duration: 9:55.

What is religion?

Religion is near identical with culture - a philosophy of life based on insights that derive from metaphysics.

And since metaphysics was said to be the first philosophy, and Greek philosophy was a reformulation of religion into a new term,

we can say that religion, philosophy and metaphysics not only are connected, but that in many ways they are merely different terms for what originally was the same thing.

I say "originally" because all these terms or concepts have slided apart from one another and diverted from their origin, and not in a good way.

The more division that happens, the more you can expect the concepts to be taken and understood erroneously.

That everything is connected and founded on repetitions, reflections and equivalents is a fundamental law,

and the true meaning behind the expression "all is one" or "all is in one, and one is in all", etc.

The word "religion" originates in the Latin word religio, the origin of which has been speculated to be "reconnect" or "reconnecting",

which suggests reconnecting to a particular source or origin.

And so we must distinguish what religion originates from - what it was in its essence - and what it later became in various cultures or in the psyche of the individual person.

In other words, what is of interest here is what the term religion SHOULD refer to, not necessarily what it is considered to be among the masses.

When different individuals and cultures use the same word but mean different things, then it becomes a problem.

Thus it is often necessary to either clearly define words and terms before they are discussed, or invent a new word or term that is less likely to be misinterpreted.

In Timeless Education I try to do a bit of both. In part, I try to analyze, explain and clarify old terms in texts and videos like this one.

And partly, I invent and reformulate old terms into new ones as part of a new teaching.

I could say that the term "timeless education" has the same meaning as the term "religion." But then you would just say, "Oh, so timeless education is just religion."

But no, it's not religion as you understand it because you do not know what I mean by religion.

You do not know what religion really is, or what it was meant to be. Almost nobody does.

Timeless Education also has the same meaning as philosophy, psychoanalysis, science, politics, etc.

And normally people do not get all this in a single package, properly developed. Timeless Education is universal religion free of all nonsense.

I could make it very easy for myself here and just say:

"Religion is not what you think it is. Real religion is the same as Timeless Education."

"So if you want to know what real religion is, go and read up on Timeless Education."

And, obviously, I think you should do that. But I want to talk a bit more about religion and explain some things,

since people often want arguments and support for this kind of assertion.

It is often said that all religions are fundamentally the same, with the same message, and contain the same truths.

But this is an incompetent way of expressing it, a lazy-minded repetition of something people have heard. And as a result, the counter arguments are often stronger.

It is more precise to say that all religions derive from the same source, that they were originally meant to be the same, that they SHOULD be the same,

but that they, through misinterpretations, human partiality and incompetence have over time deviated both from their original form and from each other.

So, no, today's religions are not the same. And because of that, the majority of them can not be called real religions.

They are empty shells and rituals that long ago died and have lost their essence.

And ancient enlightened people knew and accepted that all religions sooner or later must die, to be updated and give way to a new formulation of timeless wisdom that reconnected to the source.

I brought this up in my video on Norse mythology and ragnarok.

That the gods fall during ragnarok is partly a metaphor for the coming death of the old religious system.

That's why antiquity had so many different religions with similar gods and systems.

Same thing with the monotheistic religions. Christianity and Islam were both reformulations of Judaism.

Christianity attempted to clarify that the scriptures should not be taken literally by, among other things, raising the point that "the letter kills but the spirit gives life."

Islam attempted to clarify that all religions were originally valid by saying that all people had their own prophet.

But even these two religions died very early. In their true essence, they only lasted for a 100 years, max.

So the lifespan of a religion is very short.

Just because people still call themselves Muslims or Christians does not mean that the real religion, its essence, has not already died a long time ago.

People are very superficial. They think that a label and some routinized rituals mean something.

People do not sense their own lack of substance, and that's why they can defend empty rituals and literal interpretations,

even though the scriptures often were formulated so that a literal interpretation becomes absurd.

Only by sensing that the religion does not feel right and does not fulfill deeper needs can the individual genuinely begin to seek

and perhaps find the right interpretation or the origin of his religion.

Every prophet and originator of a new religion has experienced disappointment with the former religion.

Real spiritual individuals and religious are SEEKERS, people who question.

But what is this source from which true religion originates?

The source consists, in its essence, of two things.

The first thing is a self-insight that one's own true identity is an inner observing emptiness or observer.

In the East, this is the original goal of meditation, and in Christian tradition it is called "mysticism."

However, "mysticism" is a term that, like religion in general, has different interpretations.

Some Christians believe that "mysticism" is to get in contact with God or Jesus as an external invisible gestalt, or a literal voice that speaks to them, etc.

But these are later misinterpretations and superstitutions that are often transmitted by quacks.

It is very easy for charlatans to exploit the term "mysticism", and through it claim anything.

So I avoid the term "mysticism" because I do not like the word and I don't know how people interpret it.

But this part of the source of religion refers to the inner source of yourself.

What you are when you peel away everything that is temporary and changeable and connects to what remains and is permanent. You as an internal observer.

And it is this observer who is universal man, who is in God's image, not the rest.

The second thing that is the source of religion is a kind of source code or formula that expresses the principles of ultimate reality or highest natural law.

This source code is called various things such as "Logos", "Tetractys", "Religio vera", "The Word", "the cross to take up", "God's name", "Jod-He-Vau-He" (or "JeHoVaH"),

"Yin-Yang", "Ishvara", "Trimurti", "Odin-Vili-Vé", etc.

Out of this formula or source code, all well-known religious concepts are derived, such as non-dualism, the Creator, Karma, Almighty guide, the light of the world,

sacrifice (such as humility and acceptance in front of reality), arithmetics, numerology, astrology, inspired texts, etc.

The purpose of religion is to preserve this source code as sacred and transmit it so that this ultimate guiding principle never dies out.

Because without it, only lies and falsity, conflict and disorder, arise, mainly in the form of dualistic thinking - the "devil."

And for people, even extraordinary people and philosophers, it's virtually impossible to reach the right conclusion in terms of reality on their own since people are too partial.

The second purpose is to heal people and make them more healthy and capable of taking responsibility by giving them proper education in self-knowledge,

especially deeper self-knowledge of the inner observer.

So true religion is unity with the inner witness and hard metaphysics, i.e. philosophical principles, process logic,

and the accompanying meaning of this, such as communicating a worldview born from the answers through storytelling. This is "reconnection to the source."

Everything else is pseudo-religion and pseudo-spirituality.

Ever since she revealed that DI Bails raped and abused her as a teenager,  Emmerdale's Charity Dingle – played by Emma Atkins – has been hellbent on bringing the corrupt cop down

A recent flashback episode depicting her tragic past revealed the extend of her ordeal and also revealed that she had given birth to a baby son, which at the time had been presumed dead by Charity

However, during the character's attempts to track down the child for DNA evidence to use against Bails, Charity discovered that not only did her son survive, but he was also adopted and brought up by the midwife who helped deliver him

The character is played by 51 year old Rocky Marshall, who's had an expansive TV and film career with roles in Holby City, Mr Selfridge and Star Wars: The Force Awakens

He also famously played ladies man Duncan Hart in Family Affairs from 1997-1998

Is he the father of Charity's baby? It is very likely. Charity revealed that Bails started abusing her at the age of 14 and it's thought she became pregnant shortly after
