Arsenal returned to the Singapore National Stadium on Friday night less than 24 hours after their penalty shoot-out defeat against Atletico Madrid in the International Champions Cup

But this time they weren't at the ground for a match, that will come on Saturday against Paris Saint Germain, they were in fact at the ground for an open training session - staged in front of a couple of thousand of lucky fans

Unai Emery and his squad came out onto the pitch to huge cheers at about 6pm to give supporters a glimpse of what usually goes on behind closed doors at London Colney

And, just as he has been the whole way through the tour, our Arsenal correspondent Charles Watts was on hand to get a close up view of what was going on, here's a look at what he saw

Who trained?.Of the 25 players who travelled out to Singapore, 24 trained on Wednesday amid almost unbearable humidity inside the National Stadium

Mesut Ozil, Mohamed Elneny and Alexi Iwobi all took part in the session after missing Thursday night's game

Who didn't train?.The only player who wasn't out on the pitch was the star of Thursday night's contest, Emile Smith Rowe

Everyone else took part in the session. Why didn't Smith Rowe train?.The young midfielder has a blister on his foot that is causing him discomfort

He was left at the hotel as a precaution and could still feature in the game against Paris Saint Germain

Who got the biggest cheer of the night?.No doubt about it, Mesut Ozil.He was roared onto the pitch as he first came out of the tunnel and the stadium roof almost blew off when he stroked home a fabulous finish on the half volley during one of the shooting drills

Ozil has certainly been feeling the love of the Arsenal fans since he's been out in Singapore

Will Ozil play against PSG?.Yes, Ozil, Iwobi and Elneny are all expected to get their first minutes of pre-season on Saturday night

They will more than likely get the last half hour or so.What was the highlight of the training session?

Matteo Guendouzi certainly got the fans on their feet when he sent a shot towards goal from inside his own half

He was actually taking part in a training drill and lost possession, so he turned round in anger and launched a loose ball towards goal about 65 yards away

The crowd all spotted it and let out a huge roar as it dropped under the bar and into the net

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang then gave the youngster a pat on the pack as he returned to his teammates laughing

What is REALLY THE BIGGEST STARSHIP IN STAR WARS - Duration: 11:35.

Greetings, Star Travelers, this is Man in Ushanka.

English subtitles are included, as always!

Have you ever though of the fact what ship in the Star Wars universe is the biggest of

all?

The Executor-Class Flagship of Darth Vader?

The Eclipse-Class Flagship of Emperor himself?

Or maybe Snoke's Flagship, the pride of the new canon that already generated a lot

of noise around youtube?

Well, today we are going to discuss exactly that!

So, I guess, many of you already heard of Yuuzhan Vongs.

If you did, you will definitely like this video.

And, if you only found out about the fascinating universe of Star Wars a short time ago then

you will be doubly happy to know how these guys are linked to the topic of our today's

video.

At this moment many already heard about this terrifying race of space conquerors that terrorized

entire galaxies and who were one of the most dangerous enemies for both the Galactic Empire

and for the New Republic in the whole Galaxy Far Far Away.

And what were these guys also famous for except for their militarism, masochism, the urge

to biologically change themselves and their hatred towards all mechanical things, including

droids?

Yep, they were also famous for their huge, gigantic, ginormous spaceships that they utilized

to traverse around the Galaxy and beyond.

The Yuuzhan Vong fleet was very diverse thanks to the fact that it was, in fact, nothing

more than a bunch of some kind of gigantic space-faring coral reefs that served as homes

for millions of extremely dangerous inhabitants.

Taking into consideration their ways of interacting with the surrounding world, we can easily

compare Yuuzhan Vongs to Tyranids from Warhammer 40000 or, for example, with Zergs from StarCraft.

Yet we must also note that their habits were similar to those of Dark Eldars.

After conquering a world Yuuzhan Vongs frequently initiated a process of so-called ''Vongforming''

that allowed them to populate the entire planet first with spores and then, with adult organisms

of many different kinds and species that were symbiotic with the main Yuuzhan Vong species.

The process of Vongforming, as you might have guessed, was not peaceful and it usually destroyed

the vast majority of ecosystems that were once present on a conquered planet.

During the war with Yuuzhan Vongs, more than 300 trillion individuals died in the Star

Wars Galaxy.

Most of them were either citizens of the New Republic or of the Imperial Remnants, as well

as of some other affected space governments including the Chiss Ascendancy.

If I am not mistaken, Killiks were also affected by this bloody conflict even though they were

once a threat that could destroy the population of entire planets by devouring all of the

native species.

Yuuzhan Vongs created their terrifying fleets right on the surface of the planets that were

conquered by them, literally sucking out of the ground and even out of other starships

different kinds of materials that could later be processed and turned into so-called Yorik-Coral.

Yet the ''bones'' of the ships and other structures created of it were much stronger

than the skull of one famous Shakespearean character.

This fascinating material, thanks to the advanced technologies used by Yuuzhan Vong shapers,

was so tough and durable that it could protect the items even from turbolaser fire, even

without using deflector shields.

Should I remind you that a turbolaser blast could devastate entire cities?

By the way, I have a video devoted to the topic of how star destroyers can annihilate

populations of entire planets.

I strongly recommend you to check it out but, of course, the decision is always yours.

Many-many-many things could be manufactured from the noted Yorik Coral, from bodies of

light starfighters and cases of reactive shells to carcasses and armor of so-called Koros-Strohna,

also knows as worldships in Galactic Basic Standard language.

These huge coral vessels, real space cities, were created in different sized.

There was also a possibility of repairing and upgrading these ships right in the outer

space by literally growing the additional layers of coral substance.

Some of Koros Strohna were as big as the First Death Star and could carry a huge amount of

weaponry onboard, beginning with tiny Yaret-Korrs that could discharge overheated shells that

looked ugly and awkward at the first glance yet at the same time being incredibly powerful,

fast and deadly projectiles.

That could be created right in action, out of asteroids or of remains of enemy starships.

Of course, it would be very logical to presume that projectiles like this weren't as powerful

as turbolaser blasts that were used by both the Galactic Empire and the New Republic,

but the fact that both the shells and new batteries could be created literally our of

space garbage, turned Yuuzhan Vongs into one of the deadliest enemies the Galactic Society

ever encountered.

As a rule, not so many Yuuzhan Vongs populated the huge space faring coral cities and we

know that every Koros Strohna carried only a limited amount of warriors onboard.

Yet at the same time the ship also served as the home for many thousands or, perhaps

even millions of units of Yuuzhan Vong's ''propriety'', slaves and tamed animals

that were crucial for the survivability of the Yuuzhan Vong society.

Except for Gauss-like Yaret Kors, as well as for many plasma weaponry, including the

weaponry installed on so-called Yorik-Ets, swarms of which surrounded the worldships,

there were also other remarkable kinds of deadly things, including Qworlth Skaal, also

known as Dread Weapons.

Gigantic worm-like creatures that were engineers by Yuuzhan Vong scientists, were used as projectiles

for this kind of weaponry and during the battle they were usually sent towards enemy starships,

space stations and fortified planetary citadels with the aim to stick to the target and bore

holes in it to literally suck out everything into their deadly insides, ''drinking''

all of the substances and objects present on the ships and inside stations and fortresses:

air, fuel, weapons and, of course, its unhappy inhabitants.

Koros Strohnas could indeed be called the pearl of the Yuuzhan Vong Fleet, the very

instrument with which this race of aggressive devourers from outer space could conquer and

destroy a great number of planets that were unlucky enough to be on their path.

We should also never forget about the fact that Koroses, despite their huge sizes, were

relatively fast ships.

Of course, in the atmosphere, thanks to the friction force, the speed of these giants

fell dramatically and could rarely exceed the mark of 400 kilometers per hour.

And It is quite understandable – those weren't some starfighters, those were huge rocks,

gigantic cities flying in the skies.

Nonetheless, in space Koros Strohnas felt just like a fish would feel in water, exceeding

the acceleration of 1100 g, the acceleration that is unachievable by our engines, developed

by human beings, even in the wet dreams of some crazy geniuses.

Of course, any Imperial Star Destroyer was faster than any given Yuuzhan Vong Worldcraft,

it was almost twice as fast in the vacuum of space, such speeds were not surprising

for the inhabitants of the Star Wars Universe, but the very fact that such a huge coral object,

a real space-faring city could move so fast really terrified those who was unlucky enough

to meet them in the same solar system.

And thus, to sum up, we can say that Koros Strohna were one of the biggest military objects

ever built that had no problem moving around the vacuum of space and whose impressive weaponry

was the very factor that makes us consider Yuuzhan Vongs to be one of the most powerful

military organizations in the Galaxy Far Far Away, that could one-handedly confront and

withstand the might of the New Republic and whose military capabilities were only surpassed

by the Galactic Empire during its peak years.

However that is how our video is going to end.

If you would like to know new facts about the universe of Star Wars and the Science

Fiction in general, then don't forget to leave a like, it is really important, as well

as your subscription.

That is why I want to say a big thank you to all of those who regularly leaves their

likes and who is already subscribed.

Have a nice day and I will always be grateful to see you on my streams.

Thanks for watching and may the force be with you, always!

Arsenal defender Sokratis reveals Unai Emery is focusing on fixing Gunners' defence - Duration: 2:14.

New Arsenal centre-back Sokratis Papastathopoulos has revealed that Unai Emery is paying particular attention to the Gunners' much maligned defence during pre-season training

Arsenal conceded more goals in the Premier League than Burnley and Newcastle last season, and went on a run of 12 games without keeping a clean sheet in all competitions

Predecessor Arsene Wenger was often criticised for failing to solve Arsenal's deficiencies at the back, but Sokratis has revealed that Emery is working extremely hard on making the side more solid

In an interview with the Daily Mail, the Greek centre-back was asked if Emery has been focusing on the defence and replied: 'Of course

On the first day, the coach worked on this.  'All the players work on tactics with him

We look a lot of times at videos, what was wrong, what we have to do better.  'With the new coach we work also on the situations when we don't have the ball and this is very important

I think and hope that this year things at the back will be much better.'  With Laurent Koscielny sidelined until next year and Per Mertesacker having retired, Sokratis will marshal the back-line and he is excited about playing in a more defence-first Arsenal side

'In football, the defender is there to defend,' he continued. 'Of course, you have to know how to play with the ball, but in the last five or six years football has changed a lot

'A lot of coaches and a lot of teams now look only how to play, not how to defend

I am here to show that I am, first of all, a defender.'

Sokratis reveals what Unai Emery has done from the 'first day' to improve Arsenal's defence - Duration: 4:05.

New Arsenal signing Sokratis Papastathopoulos has given an insight into the work being done by Unai Emery to improve Arsenal's shaky defence

Keeping goals out has long been the Achilles heel of Arsenal, with the Gunners conceding 76 goals in all competitions during Arsene Wenger's final campaign in charge

In the Premier League alone, they let in 51 - just five less than Swansea City, who were relegated

So if Arsenal are to improve on their sixth placed finish this time around, improving that record at the back has to be the priority - which is one of the reasons why Sokratis was signed this summer from Borussia Dortmund in a £17 million deal

The 30-year-old has spent the past 10 years playing across Europe and has vast amounts of experience, something Arsenal were keen to add to the backline

Switzerland captain Stephan Lichtsteiner has also been brought in to help with that

But Lichtsteiner has yet to meet up with his new teammates, with the 34-year-old due to report for pre-season training next week after his extended summer break

Sokratis, however, has been with the squad since the first day of pre-season under Emery and the centre-back has revealed the type of work that is being put into making Arsenal a tighter unit at the back

"A lot of coaches and a lot of teams now look at only how to play, not how to defend," said the Greece international

"But with the new coach we work also on the situations when we don't have the ball and this is very important

"On the first day, the coach worked on this. With him, all the players we work on tactics, we look a lot at videos, what was wrong, what we have to do better

"I think and hope this year things at the back will be much better.".There were some eyebrows raised when Arsenal moved to bring in Sokratis from Dortmund, given he had just turned 30

But the defender insists he is now approaching his prime and that the experience he has built up playing in Italy and Germany over the years will be beneficial to Emery's new squad

Thirty is the best age for a defender, so for the next three or four years I would like to give everything for the team

I want to win with this team."With Borussia, with Milan, with Genoa, for 10 years now I have been outside Greece and of course I have experience

"I feel very good and I'm working on the pitch and also off the pitch to help all the young guys to be very good with us

"I am here to show I am first a defender and after that comes everything else. When he first left Greece, where he had been with AEK Athens, Sokratis joined Genoa in Serie A before sealing a move to AC Milan, the club of his idol Paolo Maldina

The Italian legend had left by then, but he did still get to play alongside the great Alessandro Nesta and Thiago Silva

"I played with Nesta, that was one big school for me," he said."Also with Thiago Silva, great players to learn from — they were defenders who were defenders first

What If The Sphinx Was Real? - Duration: 5:38.

The Sphinx. An iconic mythological creature with a rep for trickery and tyranny. Body

of a lion, wings of a bird, head of a human… in many a legend, the Sphinx was not to be

messed with… but what if it was real? Hello and welcome back to Life's Biggest

Questions. I am your host, Rebecca Felgate and today we're talking about some ancient

mythology brought to life as we ask What if the Sphinx was Real? Before we get started,

I just want to ask you guys to leave us a comment letting us know which mythical animal

or beast you would most like to be real. I'm gonna go with leprechauns! Also, while you

are down there, why don't you hit that thumbs up button and click on that notification bell

so that you're the first to hear a big answer! The Sphinx traces its origin back to both

Ancient Greek mythology and Ancient Egyptian, each painting a slightly different version

of the creature. Both were well versed in riddles, but the Greek mythology paints its

sphinx generally as merciless and deceitful females who kill and eat those who cannot

answer their riddles. In Egyptian mythology, they're mainly benevolent but immensely

strong men who seem to have a link with the asterological and supernatural as well as

being guardians to the entrance of temples. So – to put it simply if the Sphinx was

real… we would need to know what kind of Sphinx we were dealing with – nice or nasty.

Although I am not sure if we could just waltz up to it like Glinda in the Wizard of Oz and

ask if it were a good sphinx or a bad sphinx… because we might get eaten.

In ancient Greek, Oedipus meets a Sphinx who had taken up residence in Thebes and was killing

passersby who couldn't answer her riddle. I don't know how many Sphinx would exist

today, but assuming they saw a similar population as they did in Ancient Greek and Ancient Egyptian

mythology, they wouldn't be a day to day occurrence. Perhaps we would develop Sphinx

Reports, like Grizzly Bear reports, when they meander off trail. That being said, the Sphinx

are more intelligent than Grizzly Bears, who are just living their lives in nature. With

the Greek reading, anyway, it seems the Sphinx plant themselves in big cities to cause maximum

damage. Cities like New York, Los Angeles, London, Tokyo, Shanghai, Sydney, Mumbai, Bangkok…

they could all fall victim to a Sphinx. Sphinx can fly, so it is possible that air traffic

controls would be able to see one coming. Would we want to shoot them down to avoid

death tolls of people who can't solve their riddles? Would shooting them down cause a

whole flock of the beasts to descend on a city?

If Sphinx were real, people would need to be well versed in riddles for their own safety,

for answering a riddle is the only way to survive a bad Sphinx. I have to say, a part

of me is kind of happy about this. Imagine if self protection relied on you using your

brain, rather than your finger on a trigger? Perhaps if this were the case, from the off

people would be better thinkers and problem solvers…maybe we would be more literary,

shrewd and discerning…which may make us better in so many ways in day to day life….

oooor maybe we would have made phone apps to solve sphinx riddles. Why use our brains

to solve day to day problems, when we can use our brains to invent a device that makes

using our brains to solve problems defunct. The sphinx are intelligent and treacherous,

though… they never stop using their brains! Perhaps they'd find a way to disable the

phone networks, then we would be screwed. If Sphinx were real, then perhaps there would

be a whole new line of business and job roles for some people – Riddle solvers! Don't

get me wrong, these would be risky jobs, but they would be well paid. A sphinx in a city

would no doubt be national news, especially with the death and destruction they tend to

bring. These riddle solvers would be sent in to try and crack the Sphinx's puzzle

and I imagine these conversations would be televised and cause for huge celebration when

they managed the task. Sure, the televised events would be gruesome, either people would

see the riddle solver be eaten alive by the sphinx, or we would watch the sphinx devour

itself when defeated, either way… perhaps these would become the new reality TV show

of the day! What could be more exciting. I wonder if the male Egyptian sphinx and female

Greek sphinx mate? I guess they must to keep the population alive. The men are supposed

to be ferocious in strength, but much nicer. Perhaps if the lady Sphinx got too much, we

would send in a few chappies to try and distract her…try and quell her civilian killing.

We'll see how that one goes. The Egyptian Sphinx have been linked to the

supernatural and astrological powers. British writer Graham Hancock wrote of an alignment

between the great Sphinx statue of Giza, the pyramids, and the Nile River with the stars

of the constellations Leo and Orion and the Milky Way. He thought the Sphinx was meant

to harvest power… maybe our tricky mates, the Sphinx could give us some clues as to

what all that is about – they're pretty clever. Maybe they know something we don't.

Little factual nugget it for you – but sphynx actually do exist, there is a breed of cat

called the Sphynx, spelled with a y, which originated in Toronto, Canada no less. These

are much smaller, more feline and less winged and less murderous, to humans, anyway….

Try telling that to the mice. Luckily we are rather a long way off these little house dwellers

become the monstrous pests known in ancient times!

So there is what I think would happen if the Sphinx was real. What do you have to say on

the topic. Let me know in the comments section down below. Also, let me know which mythical

animal or beast you would most like to be real!

Thanks for tuning into this video, please do leave a thumbs up, share this video with

a friend and stay subscribed for more big answers. I am your host, Rebecca Felagate,

I'll catch you in the next video. Until then, stay curious, stay alert and never ever

stop questioning!

What IS it? Terrified woman posts video of rat-worm found in her home - Duration: 4:05.

Sometimes they say the animal is more scared of you than you are of it. And sometimes the wildlife is so disgusting you know you are more scared of it

But when this - a five-inch long specimen that looks like a sausage with a thin tail -  was found slithering around the corners of a Bex Deen's home in Southampton, she had no idea what to do

It turns out that the creature is most likely a larger than normal rat-tailed maggot, which will eventually turn into a drone fly after beginning life as an egg

It crawled like a worm but is much larger. It has a long, thin tail but no face or legs

The stunned woman who filmed it also asked friends to help identify it.One answered the call: 'That thing is absolutely gross! I've never seen something so disgusting! OMG get rid of that please

A rat-tailed maggot can sometimes be less than an inch long while the tail can be as long as six inches in length when fully extended

The rat-tailed maggot is the immature stage of a drone fly that resembles a honey bee

The tail is used as a breathing tube when the maggot is submerged underwater as it does not have gills

Rat-tailed maggots are typically found in stagnant water such as lagoons and manure pits

Roseanne Barr on her Valerie Jarrett tweet: 'I was so sad that people thought it was racist.' - Duration: 6:04.

by Emily Yahr July 27 at 12:37 AM Email the author In a wide-ranging interview with Sean Hannity on Thursday night, Roseanne Barr attempted to defend her tweet about Valerie Jarrett ("muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby=vj

") that got her fired two months ago from her sitcom. "I was so sad that people thought it was racist," Barr said, in her first televised interview since the "Roseanne" revival was shut down after ABC deemed the tweet "abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values

" [ABC orders spinoff of 'Roseanne' without Roseanne Barr] Barr repeatedly told Hannity that to her, the tweet was a political statement and had nothing to do with race

"That is a tweet about asking for accountability from the previous administration about the Iran deal, which Valerie Jarrett is the author of, and that was what was in my head," Barr said

Barr also used her previous defense that she didn't know Jarrett, adviser to former president Barack Obama, was African American: "I thought she was Middle Eastern," she said

.@seanhannity Exclusive: @therealroseanne Apologizes to Jarrett, Says Tweet's Intention Was Political Not Racialhttps://t

co/ouze5L7vbS— FoxNewsInsider (@FoxNewsInsider) July 27, 2018 During the conversation, Barr seemed frustrated whenever Hannity brought the topic back around to the tweet, and she reiterated how it cost her "everything

" She also occasionally got emotional, such as when she talked about her African American godson

Barr said her godson's father called her after the tweet and said, "I love you no matter what you do

" "I just have to say this," Barr said. "If you really think at the height of my power and my fame I would go 'black people look like — ' I mean, it's just, I wouldn't — I am not stupid! That's what they keep selling

Now, after they misquoted the tweet for weeks, now they don't even include it and they go 'Roseanne's racist tweet

' And they just keep shoving it down everybody's throat." The hour-long interview also dealt with Barr's mental health; she talked about being hospitalized multiple times and previously suffering from multiple personality disorder

She discussed her medications. She talked about growing up around Holocaust survivors

She explained why she liked President Trump. ("I am tired of no solutions … I think he is a solutions person

") She said she's still proud of the "Roseanne" revival's huge ratings when it debuted in March: "They can't take that away from me, no matter what happened

" When Hannity asked about Barr's future, in which ABC has ordered a spinoff called "The Conners" without her, Barr revealed one interesting twist: She said her contract with the network actually addressed her Twitter feed, which was always controversial and contained many fringe conspiracy theories

"I walked away from that show, despite the fact that I had a contract which protected me from if I got in trouble with tweets," Barr said

"It said that in your contract? And they didn't pay you?" Hannity asked. Barr paused

"Well, we can't talk about that," she said. "But I was allowed under my contract to have 24 hours to correct any mistake

" She added that she asked ABC executives to go on "The View" or another show to "explain and correct" the Jarrett tweet, but they said no

(ABC didn't respond to a request to comment about Barr's claim about her contract

) At one point, Hannity asked what Barr would say to Jarrett if she could talk to her directly

"If she's watching," Barr said, turning directly to the camera, "I'm so sorry that you thought I was racist and that you thought my tweet was racist, because it wasn't, it was political

And I'm sorry for the misunderstanding that caused my ill-worded tweet. And I'm sorry that you feel harmed and hurt

And I never meant that and for that I apologize. I never meant to hurt anybody, or say anything negative about an entire race of people, which I think 30 years of my work can attest to

" "Plus I'll tell her, she's gotta get a new haircut," Barr added. "Seriously. She needs a new haircut

Man who found well under sofa 30 years ago keeps digging to find something else - Duration: 3:23.

</form> When Colin and Vanessa Steer moved into their dream terrace house in the 1980s the noticed a slight dip in the living room floor

So when Colin was replacing the floor joists in the Plymouth home, he decided to have a little dig down to see what was going on and was amazed to discover a well

The couple had three young children at the time, so decided to cover it up so it was safer for them

But after Colin retired from his job in the civil service, he decided it was time to have another little look

He soon found the hole was a lot bigger than he first thought, and with the help of a friend has now managed to dig down 17ft

He said: "The hole was full of earth, but with the help of a neighbour, we have managed to get about 17ft deep

"I always wanted to dig it out to see if I could find a pot of gold at the bottom, so when I retired that's what I did

"I was quite surprised really, I would have preferred it to be in the garden where I could have got at it a little easier

"  Using a ladder and a bucket on a pulley system, it took them around six months to get to the depth it is at now

Colin said: "We think it's a bottle well. It's 30 inches wide now and could go down another 5-6ft

"I thought I'd found a sword around 4ft down - it was a wooden thing that must have had a leather sheath on it as you can see stitch holes

That's why I want to get to the bottom. Who knows what's down there.  "We have no idea when it was built

There could have been a couple of cottages here or it could have served a farm.  "I'd like to find something down the bottom, something to give me an age

"I wish I had a Tardis to go back in time and see what was here." Read More Top Stories from Mirror Online  The well is a talking point for friends and family of the Steer's - some have even thrown money down it and made a wish

But a well and a sword aren't the only things the couple have discovered in their home

In 2012, Colin was carrying out building work in the back garden when he unearthed two German incendiary devices with his shovel

A bomb disposal team evacuated the property, including both the front and back garden, as they carried the two devices out in sand boxes before taking them to be vapourised at a safe location

For now, Colin said he will keep going until he reaches the bottom of the well, and he's more than happy for people to go and have a look
