St. John mom's life and fashion: long introduction😅 - Duration: 8:58.

Hello~

My name is Angela, living in St.John, a little harbor city at maritime Canada.

Nice to meet you everyone who is watching my channel,

The reason I am here uploading this video is that

I have spent here in Canada for 10 years already

studied English in University at this late age

and

delivered my daughter in the middle of my study

and my son

will become grade 12 next year,

and 1 year later from now, he will leave to look for his own life

like this, while going through the long time here

many experiences I had

my life here

and

from now

despite the late age

what should I do for my future

with the questions, I spent countless sleepless nights.

And finally I

made up my mind

to share my story with people,

talk about common interests, and exchange information

everyday, or even a brief time but often.

That's the reason I am here in front of you with all my courage

I really like drawing,

especially pen drawing and

pastel painting

and I love writng a story

Actually when I studied here,

I took creative writing option rather than literature

and still now,

I try to write stories little by little on a daily basis

I hope I can introduce my stories to you someday

and get feedback from you

and want to share my drawings and paintings with you

and listen to your stories as well.

Having this time with you,

little and trivial, but still interesting daily life

and life as a woman,

stories that excite me,

especially, fashion

I have always been interested in

One day, all of a sudden, my son declared he must go to Paris to be a fashion designer

He wanted to study computer science

to become an engineer like his father

and his interest and passion were always in robot industries and technologies

from his early age, like 5 or 6 years of his age, he always drew robots and stuff like that

so he really devoted his time to study in computer

but one day all of a sudden, at his late school year

even without any experiences in art

he declared, "I want to be a fashion designer and go to Paris!"

After his surprising announcement, I had many fun experiences thanks to his struggling in art field

and my efforts to help him

with my own experiences in making art works

I tried my best to teach my son

still it's on going now and forever

but

I want to share this story with you as well

and I think it will be fun

even though this might be fun only to me

but with all my courage

I put on my make up like this unlike as usual, so my eyebrows are too dark

like a guy with thick dark brows..

I don't do make up most of time

but with this chance through YouTube channel

I will be developed day by day

prettier in my appearance

I believe this will add more happiness to my daily life

so I am here greeting to you all now

I don't even have a proper camera to film this

I have nothing for my channel yet, so I am filming with my cell phone now

but I will buy a camera soon.

I also want to share my journey to be prepared for my channel

so this morning from the early hour

as soon as i got up, I got myself ready for this filming in a hurry

This is my first time to film a video like this on YouTube,

so I am really worried about people's unpleasant judgement on me

but please never hate me

and I just hope you will ask me questions about

my school life in university

difficulties in raising my children here all by myself

and

my struggling to settle down here.

Any questions will be fine.

I will try my best to answer to all the questions with all my knowledge.

Actually I have had many questions from people in Korea

who want to move here and settle down

with the same route as I did

like studying in University here

and receiving a permanent resident visa after graduation

They really want to try this process,

but feel very afraid because they don't know how.

Whenever talking with them and seeing their worries,

I thought there must be many people who have the same questions like them

especially in Korea

so

I wanted to share my life experiences here

and try my best to give you information as much as I know.

And other than that

I will buy my son a sewing machine soon

I used to make some crafts with sewing machine in my early marriage, but threw away soon.

But this time with my son

I will make clothes with sewing machine,

having fun together.

I also want to share this kind of small fun through the little activities made in my daily life

And I want to show how I develop myself through this channel

and how I make my son grow up to be a designer.

Through this journey

I hope we can cheer up each other

and be happy for each other.

This is what I really want to do here,

Too long for the introduction, right?!

Today

I just want to greet and have little time to introduce what I am going to do in this channel to you.

so let's finish this long introduction.

And from now on

In my 2nd chapter in life

I am going to focus on what I am going to do for the rest of my life as a woman again, not a mom

on what I really love to do.

With those endless questions,

I want to show you how I navigate my way through to get answers.

Please stay tune and be with me along the way!

Next time,

i will come

with an interesting story

even though it's too trivial.

Please stay tune

and be with me!

Let's have fun time together.

Thanks for watching. Bye~~

So awkward!!!

See you next time~

Fashion designer Kate Spade found dead at 55 - Duration: 9:41.

Fashion designer Kate Spade, who founded a $2.4 billion clothing and accessories empire, has been found dead in her Manhattan home in a suspected suicide

Spade, 55, was discovered in her Park Avenue home on Tuesday morning by her housekeeper

She had reportedly left a note telling her teenage daughter it was not her fault

Spade leaves behind a design legacy that included 140 retail shops and outlet stores and more than 175 stores internationally, in addition to the iconic handbags that launched her career

Named Glamour magazine's woman of the year in 2002, she told the magazine at the time: "I hope that people remember me not just as a good businesswoman but as a great friend - and a heck of a lot of fun

" The designer was married to Andy, a marketing executive, with whom she co-founded her eponymous handbag and accessories brand

The couple have a 13-year-old daughter, Frances Beatrix. Ivanka Trump, who founded her own fashion line, tweeted her condolences, saying Spade's death is "a painful reminder that we never truly know another's pain or the burden they carry

" Diane von Furstenberg, chair of the Council of Fashion Designers of America, and the organisation's president, Steve Kolb, released a joint statement saying: "The CFDA is devastated to hear the news of our friend, colleague and CFDA member Kate Spade's tragic passing

" Chelsea Clinton also tweeted her condolences, saying she remembered her grandmother giving her her first Kate Spade bag

Born in Kansas City, Missouri, Spade graduated in 1985 with a journalism degree from Arizona State University and then backpacked around Europe

The next year, she moved to New York and worked as a temp before finding a job at Conde Nast, in the accessories department at Mademoiselle magazine

"I started as an assistant," she said, in January, in an interview with NPR. "So I was tying, you know, models' shoes on a photo shoot because they couldn't bend over in their clothes, that or getting hairstylists Snickers

I'm telling you, whatever, I ironed and carried bags. And it was a lot of work, I'll say that

" She rose to become the accessories director of the magazine. But she said she struggled to find handbags she liked, and in 1993 quit journalism to start her own brand, taking inspiration from her mother's collection of bags, stored in her closet in Kansas City

"She had clutches, oranges, pinks, chocolates, huge pearl buttons," she told TIME

With no design experience, she said she began by "buying big sheets of white paper

" She explained: "I would cut out and tape, honestly, the shape that I wanted. And then I'd look at it and I'd make it shorter, smaller, cut it

"And I remember being really embarrassed about that that, that I wasn't, you know, a student from Parsons or RISD or FIT, that I really didn't know what I was doing

And I honestly started with paper. Then we'd make a sample out of any kind of fabric - muslin

And then I kind of got the shape down, and I had to find a manufacturer." She told how, at her first trade show, she returned in floods of tears because she had not even recouped the costs of the stand

"I said, I think we should shut it down," she recalled. "I'm very conservative. And I said, I have no interest in losing money

"I said, and we've - you know, we've already spent $4,000. That's it for me. I'm not a gambler

So that's where Andy was like, no, keep going." In 1997, she launched a men's line designed by her husband, called Jack Spade, and by 1998, annual revenues had reached $27 million

Two years later the Spades sold 56 per of their business to Neiman Marcus for $34 million, selling the remaining share to the company in 2005 for a reported $59 million

Assuming the Spades split their share with partners, they would have walked away with $46

5 million before taxes. In May 2017, Coach bought the brand for $2.4 billion - but the Spades would not have received a penny of that, having sold their stake over a decade previously

She went on to found a second label, Frances Valentine, specialising in Italian accessories

"I am sure there are places that are well-oiled machines, but this is a relatively new business and I'm looking at it like that," she said, in an interview in 2016 to promote the new brand

"It's really similar to how I started at Kate Spade: It was very scrappy. We started very small and we tried not to get ahead of ourselves — I'm from the Midwest, so I'm not much of a risk-taker

"We are really listening to the buyers and the costumers. What are they buying? What are we doing right? What are we doing wrong? I'm not big into social media, but Andy is, so we put a lot up on Instagram for the brand

" She spoke about the joys of running her own business, and making sure every evening to eat dinner with her husband and daughter

"My life is a little kooky but a lot of fun," she said. In January she said: "I feel a little more confident

I think Andy feels the same because we've done it before. "But on the same hand, you think that people are expecting a great deal

So there's still a lot of pressure, trust me. And we're self-financing again, so I'm not crazy about, as I mentioned earlier, losing any money

So, you know, this thing better work." The New York Police Department confirmed the designer's death under her birth name, Katherine Noel Brosnahan

David Spade Mourns Sister-in-Law Kate Spade's Death "Kate Spade had an enviable gift for understanding exactly what women the world over wanted to carry

She launched her label at a time when everyone thought that the definition of a handbag was strictly European, all decades-old serious status and wealth," Wintour said

"Then along came this thoroughly American young woman who changed everything. There was a moment when you couldn't walk a block in New York without seeing one of her bags, which were just like her; colorful and unpretentious

" Kate Spade's Most Unforgettable Moments in Fashion Spade, 55, was found dead Tuesday morning in her Manhattan apartment by one of her employees, shocking a Hollywood that had so quickly embraced her, and the fashion world, which she helped shape

On Fashion, Family and Building an Empire: A Look Back at PEOPLE's Intimate At-Home Interview with K - Duration: 3:21.

PeopleStyle June 05, 2018 06:33 PM As the fashion world mourns the loss of an industry icon and celebrity fans take to social media to share their shock and sadness, PEOPLE looks back at our candid 2016 sit-down with Kate Spade, who died of an apparent suicide on Tuesday

The designer invited PEOPLE into her New York City home, an apartment on Park Avenue, to talk about her latest venture, that launch of accessories line Frances Valentine

Here in her own words, Spade, who had just officially changed her name to Kate Valentine at the time of the interview, opened up about her family life, her career in fashion and more

On Being a Working Mom "You have to strike a balance between being a parent and going to the office

I like the fact that Frances knows there's a choice and that she is in a position to make it

You can work. You can stay at home. You can go back to work. She has options." On Her Best Career Advice  "Jump all the way in

Don't be afraid. I had considered staying in my job at Condè Nast and I thought that maybe I can do both and that way I wouldn't lose my salary because I'm really nervous about insurance and all of that

And I remember someone saying, 'Oh if you don't go all the way in you'll never do it

' And that makes you very scrappy and very resourceful. I had no choice but to make it work

" Andrew Hetherington On That Iconic Nylon Bag "I have 10 in black and 10 in navy that I had made for me specifically before I left [Spade parted ways with her namesake company in 2007] because I like them with the short handles

I have some in my hall closet and then most of them are in storage." RELATED PHOTOS: Kate Spade's Most Iconic Pop-Culture Moments Photos On Her Love of Fashion, But Not Trends  "Fashion is to be fun

Buy what you love. Honestly, enjoy it. Don't feel like you have to buy things because they're in and because everyone's wearing it

That to me is something that you do when you're 11." Andrew Hetherington On Launching Her New Brand After The Success of Kate Spade "I'm not looking to go backwards and to do anything that we've already done or to disrupt what Kate Spade is doing now

There's no business plan. I'm a little less nervous, not so much about the company, but in terms of how I dress, how I design

It's how I began Kate Spade. I don't want to lose that feeling as the company grows

Fashion designer Kate Spade was found dead in an apparent suicide in her Manhattan apartment, law en - Duration: 4:49.

close Video Fashion designer Kate Spade was found dead in an apparent suicide in her New York City apartment, law enforcement officials told Fox News

She was 55. Spade's body was discovered by a housekeeper at her Upper East Side apartment, a source told Fox News

The source added that Spade's husband, Andy Spade, was home at the time of her death

The Associated Press reported Spade was found with a red scarf around her neck attached to a doorknob

The couple's 13-year-old daughter was at school at the time and officials said a note was found at the scene telling her it was not her fault

"We are all devastated by today's tragedy," Spade's family said in a statement to the New York Daily News

"We loved Kate dearly and will miss her terribly. We would ask that our privacy be respected as we grieve during this very difficult time

" Spade's sister, Eve Brosnahan, also reportedly told the outlet: "It's very difficult

I can't right now. I just can't." Spade, who was an accessories editor at Mademoiselle magazine, launched her company with husband Andy in their apartment in 1993

She started the company based on six shapes of bags that she thought every working woman needed

It created a smash. She opened her first store in New York City in 1996. Spade is the sister-in-law of actor David Spade

CELEBS REACT TO KATE SPADE'S DEATH From the original boxy handbags, she expanded into shoes, luggage and other accessories, as well as a home line, stationery and three books

Spade won multiple awards from the Council of Fashion Designers of America and was named a "giant of design" by House Beautiful magazine

The company she founded, Kate Spade New York, now has over 140 retail shops and outlet stores across the U

S. and more than 175 shops internationally. Spade sold her company in 2007, a year after it was acquired from the Neiman Marcus Group for $125 million by the company then known as Liz Claiborne Inc

In 2017, Tapestry ‒ the owner of Coach ‒ bought the brand for $2.4 billion. STOCK DROPS AFTER NEWS OF KATE SPADE'S DEATH "I just had my daughter and at that point I thought I just really wanted to spend time with my family," Spade told Fox News in 2016 of why she sold her company in 2007

Display nothing; This is on Publish with no configured Image In response to Spade's death, the Council of Fashion Designers of America said in a statement, "The CFDA is devastated to hear the news of our friend, colleague and CFDA member Kate Spade's tragic passing

She was a great talent who had an immeasurable impact on American fashion and the way the world viewed American accessories

" Kate Spade New York said in a statement that while Spade had not been affiliated with its "beloved brand" for more than a decade, she and her husband were its founders, and the news of her death is "incredibly sad

" In 2016, she launched a new shoes and handbag line called Frances Valentine. "It's about where you are and the idea of enjoying fashion," Spade said at the time to Fox News

"Also, it's a heartfelt name, because it's my father's, my brother's, my grandfather's and my daughter's name

" Spade is survived by her husband Andy and their daughter, Frances Beatrix Spade, 13

She is also the aunt to "Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" actress Rachel Brosnahan. Fox News' Stephanie Nolasco contributed to this report
