Yeah whatever... alright let's just get through this one quickly and painlessly.

Yeah it's another flashback console from ATGames. Now this is the 2017 model but

it is not the HD version. This is labeled "Sega Genesis Classic Game Console", where

the other is labeled "Sega Genesis Flashback". This model still uses

composite video. Yeah I kinda sat on this one for a while until I forgot

about it but here we finally are..

There's a pretty damn good selection of games available here. Highlights include

Sonic 1 & 2... & Knuckles. Golden Axe 1 through 3, Altered Beast, Comic Zone,

Phantasy Star II & III, Shadow Dancer Shinobi III, Vectorman, Shining Force I & II,

and MR. BALLLLllllss... no really.... and many more. And you can also play your own Sega

Genesis carts as well!

I'd noticed this weird discoloration on my screen at one point. It didn't show up

in the game footage but I took this picture of the screen. it's not something

I've come across before but I thought it was worth mentioning. This collection

actually got me to play Alien Storm for the first time and I enjoyed it so

that's a plus. The sound is bearable if not entirely accurate...

Like with other consoles from the company, there is a small amount of

shovelware.

I'm looking at you Mr. Balls.. oh and by the way for anyone who's curious, Mr.

Balls is basically just the console version of "Lights Out" . Just listen to

those dulcet tones... alright, enough of this madness!

Anyway.. includes two controllers, stereo sound, cartridge slot, and an instruction

manual. The controllers feel slightly stiff. This is probably due to the raised

buttons. After a few hours of button mashing, my poor thumb was dented. I mean

look at that shit. That ain't normal! Well anyway, you can currently find this

one for about $40 online. I wouldn't pay any more than that. If you just want to

play some Genesis classics with the option to play your own cartridges it

may be worth your time, but if you want these games in higher resolution,

I'd recommend either getting one of the Sega Genesis classics collections

already available for pretty much every modern console or just wait for the

inevitable (Official) Genesis Classic Mini console to materialize... and that's pretty much it

for the Sega Genesis Classic Game Console. As always, thanks for watching!
