[Betsy Bogart]: "Eureka" is our chatbot, using artifical

intelligence it is an easy way for our customers to get

information about business entities and trademarks.

[Secretary of State Voice Over]: "Eueka" can help you navigate

our website and connect you to the information you need quickly

and easily.

Powered by Microsoft's Artificial Intelligence,

"Eureka" is a smart search assistant who uses your search

inquiry to pull up the most relevant, useful information.

[Betsy Bogart]: It allows them to ask Eureka a question and

Eureka will respond.

As Eureka's asked questions, Eureka gets smarter each time.

The Microsoft tool makes it very easy for our staff to help

Eureka get smarter as we go.

The goal is to have multiple avenues where customers,

buisness owners, entrepreneurs, professionals can get

information related to business entities and trademarks,

online, 24/7.

[Shannon Delgado]: So instead of customers having to go

the old school route, they actually can just use the

resources available to them at home and get to the information

faster.

That's really the trend that we're seeing.

Other services we've implemented customers have adopted the new

processes and new services very quickly, and so we see Eureka

doing the same.

Developing Eureka was a very positive experience knowing that

Eureka would help make it easier to do business in California.

Microsoft was on-hand to help us learn the certain requirements

of the Microsoft Q&A maker.

Without having an I.T. background, I found the

Q&A maker very easy to use and with minimal training.

Ultimately the name "Eureka" was choosen for a couple of reasons,

it is part of our state motto as well as a term that was used

during the historic California Gold Rush, meaning

"I have found it".

So our hope is that customers will use Eureka and find the

answer they are seeking.

[Eric Egland]: It was great to work with Shannon who was able

to build the first version of the chatbot and get it up and

running in a matter of days.

This clearly demonstrates how straight forward it is to build

powerful business applications using Microsoft Azure.

It's a privilege to work along side these government innovators

as they create the next generation of solutions,

like advanced chatbots, to better serve the public.

We are not stopping here. This is our first implementation

of Eureka but we are looking to make Eureka even better

and improve the services he provides as time goes on.

S1:E1- The Big Announcement! Leaving California to Move into a Tiny Home - Duration: 3:23.

Hey guys!

This is Cherish... oh, this is Ryan... and we are Off With The Grid and we have some

really big news.

We're moving to Hawaii!

What?

No we aren't!

Oh we're not?

Okay, so we're not actually moving to Hawaii we're moving to Idaho.

We're gonna move to north Idaho in the mountains in a small town called Sandpoint

and the first thing we need to do before we can move to Idaho is sell our house in southern California.

So, we've got it listed and now we need to start cleaning out the garage and making room

for everything so we can get moved out of the house and get the house sold.

So, we already started putting everything in the garage, we haven't gone through everything

and labeled everything yet and that's what we need to do right now.

Let's open up the garage and get everything going.

Let's do it!

Let's ride this thing!

Wait!

Get on Ollie.

It's not that long of a ride, okay bud?

Okay.

One lap around and then bring you back.

What?

Yea that's it.

I'm trying to clean.

Let's go!

Alright, we got a lot of the stuff done.

We're gonna make a little more room for some more boxes from inside stuff and we'll probably

still go through some of the stuff we already have here and get of even more but this is

what it looks like so far.

It's really hard to figure out exactly what we are gonna keep and what we are not gonna

keep so we just kind of are crossing our fingers and hoping we don't get rid of anything that

we end up needing or having to buy again.

But we got rid of most of the stuff and we are gonna start working on the inside and

bring more stuff out now.

Sorry.

Right There.

Just joking.

Don't cut me out.

butthead!

Thea come here, hey, come here.

Woman caught on video toppling 15 foot crucifix in Northern California church Los Angeles Times

Police arrested a 23 year old woman after she was caught on video pushing a crucifix to the floor and destroying other items in a Northern California church, authorities said.

Jackeline Chavira was booked into a Santa Cruz County jail on suspicion of vandalizing a place of worship, defacing property, burglary and disobeying a court order, the Watsonville Police Department said.

Police said Chaviras rampage began at 11:40 a.m. Wednesday when she entered a Watsonville store and stole some roses. About 20 minutes later, she allegedly went into another store on the same street and broke a religious statue, then stopped at a bakery and stole a soda.

Finally, about 12:15 p.m., the woman allegedly entered St. Patricks Church on Main Street, where authorities said she caused the most damage. Surveillance footage shows her walking toward the altar, looking behind and around her as she approached the crucifix.

The video shows her setting down what appears to be a rose before pushing the 15 foot crucifix to the floor, causing the figure of Christ to come loose, and running off. Watsonville police said the incident caused dollar 15,000 in damage.

After smashing the crucifix, officials said, Chavira ran next door to a prayer room, where she threw another religious statue on the ground and ripped down two large pieces of art. Parishioners were in the room at the time.

She then visited another store on Main Street, where she stole another religious statue and smashed it on the ground, police said.

She was arrested soon after and is being held in lieu of dollar 25,000 bail.

How to Form an LLC California - Duration: 4:45.

How to form an LLC in California.

If you are interested in starting an LLC in the Golden State, you are not alone.

California has one of the highest rates of newly formed LLCs in the country.

Every state has slightly different requirements for forming an LLC.

Follow along closely to learn the required steps for creating your own Limited Liability

Company in the state of California.

There are two ways to form an LLC in California: You can form one yourself, or you can hire

a service to do it for you.

Let's start by looking at the six basic requirements to form an LLC in California on your own:

1. Name your LLC.

You'll need to choose a company name that complies with California naming requirements,

and do a name search on the State of California website to make sure the name isn't already taken.

You should go ahead and register the web domain for your business website and email as well.

2. Choose a registered agent.

California requires that you nominate an Agent for Service of Process, more commonly known

as a registered agent.

The registered agent can be an individual within the company including yourself, or

you can hire a professional service authorized to do business in California.

3. File the Articles of Organization.

To register your California LLC, you will need to file the Articles of Organization

with the Secretary of State.

This can be done online, by mail, or in person, and will cost 70 dollars.

You will need to state whether your LLC will be member-managed or manager-managed.

Member-managed means all members of the LLC manage the company.

This is good for small organizations, where everyone is involved in day-to-day operations.

The second option is manager-managed, where individuals are appointed to manage the LLC.

This is appropriate for larger organizations, where not everyone is involved in the day-to-day

affairs of the business.

4. File the Initial Statement of Information.

California requires all LLCs to file an Initial Statement of Information (Form LLC-12) with

the California Secretary of State within 90 days of forming your LLC.

This can be done online, in-person, or by mail.

5. Create an Operating Agreement.

You should also create an operating agreement to establish ownership terms and member roles.

This is an internal document for reference, and does not need to be filed with the state

of California.

This foundational document is the core of your LLC, and will help you maintain your

organization, as well as further establish your LLC as a separate legal entity.

6. Obtain an EIN.

Lastly, you'll need to get an Employer Identification Number, or EIN, from the IRS.

Also known as a Federal Tax Identification Number, your EIN is like a social security

number for your LLC and is important for taxes and banking.

EIN's are free of charge, and can be obtained from the IRS online or through the mail.

And with that, you will have formed a California LLC on your own.

Keep in mind, California LLCs are required to pay an annual Franchise Tax of 800 dollars

per year.

Option 2.

Hire a Professional Service

The second way to create a California LLC is to hire a professional service to create

your LLC for you.

Hiring a professional service to file your forms and act as your registered agent for

the LLC will cost you an additional 50 to 150 dollars.

However, there are several benefits to working with a pro:

A hired registered agent helps with getting your reports filed on time, helps you stay

organized by keeping your business mail separate, and is available at all regular business hours

to accept official mail and legal papers on your LLC's behalf.

A final and important additional benefit of using a service is privacy: a professional

service will provide a level of privacy by withholding your personal name and home address

from the LLC's contact information.

There are many reasons you might not want your personal information easily accessible

and associated with your business- hiring a professional LLC formation service is an

easy way to accomplish this.
