A crib was seen being wheeled in to the plush venue but it was a much smaller gift that has caught the eye of royal watchers

Meghan showed off what could have been one of the gifts as she stepped out wearing an 18-karat gold 'mommy' necklace

 The heartwarming piece of jewellery by Jennifer Meyer costs £650 and is believed to be a new addition to her royal wardrobe

 Meghan's necklace was spotted as she headed back home to see Prince Harry after five days in the Big Apple

 The 37-year-old cut a casual figure in a pair of black leggings teamed with a tight jumper which showed off her blossoming baby bump

 The duchess, who is seven months pregnant, completed the look with a long camel coat, trainers and a black baseball cap

 The baby shower was hosted at The Mark's penthouse suite, which costs an eye-watering £57,000 ($75,000) a night

 A host of celebrity guests were seen arriving including Meghan's former Suits co-star Abigail Spencer, makeup artist Daniel Martin and designer Misha Nonoo, who is thought to be the mystery pal who set up Meghan and Harry

 Meghan's best friend and stylist Jessica Mulroney was also on the guest list. But Meghan's mother Doria Ragland, who lives in Los Angeles, was noticeably absent

 No expense was spared for the special occasion, with stacks of flowers and presents taken into the hotel ahead of the event

 Last night, the former actress returned to London by private jet at an estimated cost of of £96,000

 She will have a few days to rest before setting off to Morocco with Harry for a three-day royal visit

But today is believed to be the day most anticipated by royal watchers, during which 15 of Meghan's closest friends will throw her a baby shower party

Staff members were spotted taking inside the heavily guarded The Mark hotel in the Upper East Side a dozen suitcases from "Away" Luxury Luggage brand, believed to be party favors for those who are invited to Meghan's baby shower

   A cotton candy machine was also brought inside the building.  And harpist Erin Hill herself was seen pushing inside her instrument, sparking speculations the fashionable duchess has chosen her to entertain her guests during the party

  Shortly after 6pm GMT guests started arriving, welcomed by fans and well-wishers

  George Clooney's wife Amal, fashion designer Misha Nonoo and Mrs Mulroney, who is believed to have organised the event, were spotted entering The Mark wearing stunning outfits and carrying bags of what is safe to believe being gifts for the mother-to-be

  A source who spoke to Harper's Bazaar had previously confirmed Meghan was on a relaxing solo trip organised months ago, where she would meet her friends and respect the American tradition of the baby shower

  They said: "The trip is a lovely chance to catch up with friends and spend time in a city she loves

   "This will be the last time a lot of them will see Meg until after the baby is born so it's nice to share precious moments

" The New York break took the public by surprise, but the source revealed it had been carefully planned for months

  They added: "It's been a relaxing visit. Nothing beats face time with your friends

   "Meg will be flying home refreshed and relaxed - and with a lot of new baby clothes

"  The trip to New York comes when Meghan is believed to be approximately 30 weeks into her pregnancy

  Most airlines allow pregnant women to get on their plane until the 37th week, and the NHS advices not to fly after the 38th week

   The relaxing break to New York was welcomed by Meghan's half sister, Samantha Markle, who however urged the duchess to take advantage of it and go visit their father

   Speaking to the MailOnline, Samantha said: "Setting all personal things aside, I understand a baby shower is an exciting time – it's about getting with friends, getting things ready for the baby

 "But you are on this continent Meghan and I would just really love to see her have contact with my dad while she's here

 "Life is very short and you never know when you're going to get that opportunity again so it would seem par for the course and I hope it happens

 Meghan Markle celebrated the upcoming arrival of her first baby with husband Harry at a private baby shower in the exclusive The Mark Hotel in New York

The Duchess of Sussex is reported to have received numerous presents for the royal tot – some of which appear to suggest the gender of the baby – but friend Gayle King revealed Meghan surprised them all with her decision not to open the gifts

The CBS anchorwoman said the Duchess had decided to wait until her return to London to make sure Harry was available to open the presents with her

  Asked what she had decided to get Meghan, Ms King said: "If I told you I would have to kill you because she didn't open any of the gifts because she wants to do that when she and Harry are back together

 "So I really don't know what everybody got her. I got something I think is very nice

But she is a very private person so I think she should decide what she wants to say about this

 "A good time was had by all, that's what I'll say." Ms King also shed some light on the activities Meghan and her friends enjoyed at the event, saying the Duchess had "generously" donated the flowers to a New York charity after she and the guests had learned how to arrange bouquets from an expert

I think her friends just wanted to celebrate her." Genevieve Hillis, Meghan's best friends and fellow sorority sister at Northwestern University, had tennis superstar Serena Williams help her arrange the exclusive baby shower at the end of a five-day visit to New York before the Duchess flew back to London

 Mr Martin sparked speculation among royal fans that Meghan and Harry could soon be welcoming a baby boy after he shared a sweet photo of the baby-themed treats guests were given at the party

 The photo show biscuits shaped and decorated in white and pale blue icing - indicating that Meghan could be expecting a baby boy

 The biscuits feature a stork carrying a newborn in a blanket with a blue tinge, as well as a rattle and a bib with the word "baby" written in black icing

You'll need basic long sleeve T-shirt

Square sequins

beads and thread

I used different beads in the same colour range because I haven't had a lot the same colour

It's kind of recycling your old beads

I used one bead for one sequin

I did 3 rows near each other

and then started to sew it more and more losely

I did it the same on the other side

I started with 4 rows on the back side

I made a triangle on the sleeve

I connected back side

and then started to add more and more sequins...

And that's it!

It looks unique and new!

 The Duchess and former-actress was bundled into the building by burly security guards

 She is thought to be in NYC for a five day trip. The shower is taking part at an Upper East Side hotel

 Fifteen people are said to be attending the event, which is an American tradition that sees friends give the mother-to-be gifts for the baby

 The Duchess of Sussex chose an outfit worth £3,300 for the baby shower. Notably, she wore a coat from friend Victoria Beckham, who was said to be close to the former-actress when she moved to the UK to be with the Duke of Sussex

 Meghan donned the 'Tailored Slim Coat' from Victoria Beckham, which costs £2,250

 The coat is 100 per cent Cashmere, and is described by the Victoria Beckham website as "a tailored coat inspired by classic men's outerwear, impeccably tailored for a slim fit, accentuating the silhouette of the body

" A fan of pricey designer garments, Meghan appeared to carry a brand new high end bag

 She clutched the Saint Laurent East West Shopping Tote Bag in grey, which costs £822

95. Mysteriously, the mother-to-be carried two hats. She wore the Helene Berman London grey flat cap, which costs around £50

 However, in her left hand she carried the Rag & Bone Wide Brim Wool Fedora, which costs £195

00. All in all, the whole look costs £3,317.95. However, Meghan might be wearing garments worth more, as it is not visible what she is wearing underneath her expensive coat

 Meghan Markle's letter, written by five friends and published in People Magazine, may have caused more of a rift within the Royal Family

Piper Kittersong who is a brilliant model,

amazing student, and gender influencer.

We're gonna make some amazing images and you can come along.

Oh that's cool, yeah yeah yeah.

Do some like, huh, huh, huh, yeah.

Yeah yeah yeah good, oh great yes. Perfect.

And that expression is great, looking different places.

The thing that's cool is that your glasses will kind of

reflect differently. Yeah.

Depending on where you have 'em.

Yes great, that's fabulous. Good.

So you're kind of moving with different...

(music drowns out speech)

The key light today is a beauty dish which is an

amazing, amazing light modifier because inside of here

there's a little white dish and so the light hits the

dish and then reflects around in a circle.

This bad boy is a six foot umbrella.

And the light is facing into that and then reflecting out.

And its gonna create great fill for us so that

the shadows that the beauty dish creates is just

gonna be filled in more so the contrast is a little less.

The last element operating today are these two background

lights and, I use strip banks which are really great

because it spreads and creates a nice even wall of light.

So these are angled towards the background

to illuminate the background.

They are also creating a little bit of what's called spill.

Its also making sure that the background stays white.

Otherwise those lights that are the main source of light

would be fading into a little bit of a gray

which is also beautiful, but today we want this to be

a little bit, hotter, punchier, whiter.

Love that and then lets do some with the glasses up.

Yes that's great. Good.

(laughs)

The Quantico actress shared an Instagram photo that same day that suggested she was on the west coast as she tagged the post Beverly Hills

'Mellow yellow' was all she said in her caption.The actresses have been friends since January 2016 when they bonded at an Elle Women in Television event

 Chopra attended Meghan and Harry's splashy royal wedding England in May 2018. She wore a light purple suit and was seen mingling with James Corden

But Meghan did not go to Priyanka's wedding to Nick Jonas in India in December.And the two pals have not been seen together in recent months even though Chopra has made trips to London

In 2017 Meghan said she and Priyanka became friends easily. 'You know when you meet someone and you just click?' said Markle

'It was just an easy, natural progression. We've managed to keep in touch via email and text, and try to see each other whenever we're both in the same town

'The Duchess of Sussex - who is pregnant with her and Prince Harry's first child - has jetted across the pond to mark the impending arrival of her little girl or boy with her friends and family

  Meghan's stylist Jessica Mulroney has been co-ordinating the event, which will take place at the exclusive Mark Hotel on the Upper East Side of Manhattan

And they will be joined by 15 of her closest friends. Details of the party are being kept private

But Meghan's former Suits co-stars Abigail Spencer has already been seen heading to the shower

And she carried a blue bag suggesting the Markle is having a son.It is also thought Benita Litt, whose daughters Rylan and Remi took part in Meghan's wedding, and Sarah Rafferty will also be in attendance

  Meanwhile, Meghan's husband Prince Harry recently admitted impending fatherhood has made him more aware of his 'responsibility' to the world

 Speaking at a Commonwealth youth discussion in London last month, he said: 'As someone who is about to become a father, I am acutely aware of our shared responsibility to make this world more resilient and its inhabitants more accountable for the next generation

One of the guests at Meghan Markle's $300,000 baby shower is opening up about her afternoon with the Duchess of Sussex

Gayle King said on CBS This Morning that she and other guests were taught how to arrange flowers at the party, and that Markle then donated those arrangements to various charities

She also said that she could not reveal the gift that she purchased for Markle because the guest of honor did not open any of her presents, choosing instead to wait until she got back to London and was with Prince Harry

' O'Donnell then asked: 'What did you get her?'King then fired off the standard, 'If I told you I would have to kill you' line, suggesting she might not be game to spill any details

 That was not the case.'She didn't open any of the gifts because she wants to do that when she goes back to London, when she and Harry are back together,' explained King

 'I don't know what everybody got. I think I got something I think is very nice. But you know, she's a very private person

'It was a small, private affair, and a special time for her,' said King. 'Having a baby is a great thing

I've always believed that my two biggest assets are number one, I'm a woman and

number two, I'm Asian. My philosophy is indulgence is a necessity, it's not a

whim. I work hard, I deserve it.

That's what Natori is based on, on selling to women who really like to take

care of themselves, love themselves, work very hard, whether you're a housewife or

you're, you know, working and have a career, it doesn't matter.

"Okay great get to work"

I knew nothing about the industry but in many ways I think ignorant was bliss and

so I really approached it instinctively and learned on the job. I really take

pride that we are one of the few still family-owned businesses in a very, very

tough industry. I couldn't do it of course without, you know, the support,

without the organization, the team certainly my family.

"because we factored in ordering the fabric and then..."

It's my parents credit, they never pressured me

to join the business and we never really talked about the business that much I

really came in with my own views and was given the leeway to establish new

businesses and to address some of these new opportunities. It's really been a

fabulous thing to be able to have Kenneth here. Kenneth has been able to

bring practices into the company that was much needed. He's built the e-comm

business. We feel like even though we're forty years old that the company, the

best is yet to come and that you know we are doing everything to make sure that

the company is relevant to the next generation.

"Of course you're gonna hit it there you're gonna see it"

I am very fortunate that I come from

family of very strong women, where my grandmother taught me from age three

that to be independent and never have to depend on anyone and be your own person

and when the opportunity came to go to college in the United States I told my

parents I would like to go to the United States and I did!

I majored in economics and decided you know work in Wall Street and had an

amazing career of nine years in Wall Street where I was fortunate enough to

be the first woman vice president in investment banking at Merrill Lynch.

"The numbers are have greatly improved"

Although my background is involved in

finance I've had to face what every other business owner has to - in terms of

growing pains of the business. Being part of the Wells Fargo family, to

me, has been a plus for Natori.

Knowing that we have Wells Fargo there

and knowing that we we trust the people there and that we're with an established

bank has really made life easier for us.

She's been a valued client for many many

years and she's an ideal client for us. We had this mutual respect. We understand

her business we trust and admire the way that she's run her business. She

knows that we'll be there for her when she needs us. You can't be in this

business without a strong financial partner and I think Wells Fargo gives to

that. There is a humanity there and there's a caring.

 The Duchess of Sussex has flown to New York to spend time with friends, celebrate her pregnancy and have retail therapy before her baby arrives

Meghan was in New York for five days, for her first trip to the Big Apple since marrying Prince Harry in May last year

She has now landed back in the UK, but there are more travel plans to come for pregnant Meghan, as this coming weekend she will fly to Morocco for an official visit with her husband

  Harper's Bazaar reported Meghan landed in New York on February 15 to have "five nights of rest, shopping and good food with some of her closest and most loyal pals

 "The trip is a lovely chance to catch up with friends and spend time in a city she loves

 "This will be the last time a lot of them will see Meg until after the baby is born so it's nice to share precious moments

"Meghan is rumoured to be staying at The Mark, a hotel in the Upper East Side which has hosted famous faces such as Oprah Winfrey, Marc Jacobs and Novak Djokovic in the past

 Decorations and flowers were seen being carried into the hotel, alongside masses of spring flowers in varying colours and a huge orange tree

 Harpist Erin Hill was also been seen arriving at the hotel on Wednesday with her harp triggering speculation she will be entertaining the baby shower attendees

Staff were also seen taking a dozen suitcases from luxury luggage brand "Away" into the hotel, perhaps party favours for Meghan's guests

 A cotton candy machine was also spotted being brought to the hotel, as well as a baby crib by babyletto - believed to be a gift for the Duchess

According to Tatler, Meghan will be having her baby shower in The Mark's penthouse suite, which extends over two floors and consists of five bedrooms, four fireplaces, six bathrooms and two powder rooms

 The suite costs £60,000 per night and also features a 2,500 square foot rooftop terrace with a view over Central Park

 Meghan's former Suits co-star Abigail Spencer has arrived at the hotel, as well as tennis star and close friend of the Duchess, Serena Williams

 Human rights lawyer and actor George Clooney's wife Amal Clooney also attended the lavish bash on Wednesday

  Fashion designer Misha Nonoo, who is rumoured to have introduced Meghan to Prince Harry has also been seen arriving

During her time in New York so far Meghan has visited bakery Laduree, had lunch at The Surrey Hotel and met with friends last night at The Polo Bar

Meghan and close friends Serena Williams, Markus Anderson and Jessica Mulroney were all spotted arriving at the swanky polo-themed Ralph Lauren bar and restaurant

A source has told US Weekly Meghan had also been spotted shopping at Bonpoint, a Parisian baby boutique

 The Duchess has today (Thursday) flown home to London, ready for another trip - this time to Morocco - over the weekend
