Aaron Korsh, the creator of Suits, has spoken up over speculations Meghan will make a cameo in the legal drama for its 9th season finale
The American producer said there is "close to zero" chance the Duchess would make a comeback to the show unless she technically "leaves her position with the Royal Family"
Speaking at the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour in Pasadena, California, Mr Korsh said: "I would love it, but I think it's pretty close to zero
" He said that unless producers are "not currently pursuing asking Meghan to leave her position with the Royal Family and join us", it is unlikely the Duchess will return to the show
Mr Korsh added: "We love her, we wish her well but I don't think that's happening
" The Suits creator made the comments while promoting a Suit's spin off titled Pearson, starring Gina Torres as her Suits character Jessica Pearson
Meghan, who is around six months pregnant, left her acting career behind before marrying Prince Harry last year
The Duchess starred in Suits for seven seasons before becoming a member of the Royal Family and leaving her acting career behind
Suits aired its first series in 2011, and the final season will feature 10 episodes
Meghan played Rachel Zane in the show, a paralegal who has worked at Pearson Hardman for six years
Earlier reports claimed Mr Korsh was planning to donate millions to charity in order to get Meghan back on the show
However, he deneied the claims.Meghan's on-screen husband Patrick J Adams, who played Mike Ross, also left the show at the end of season 7
Speaking to Deadline, Mr Korsh previously said: "I have not arranged for millions of dollars to be donated to anything on behalf of anyone so that I can tell you
"But as far as the original people coming back,we're so early in the season that we haven't formulated what we want to do, so we can't reach out to people before we know what we want to do
" Mr Korsh did not rule out returning cast members, however.He added: "When Patrick left, we talked about the notion of him coming back
"It had to be right story-wise, and he had to be in a place where he wants to do it, depending on what's going on with him
