 Meghan Markle is married to a British prince, but is not a citizen of the UK. The former-actress worked on US legal drama Suits for many years, living in Canada

 She was born Hollywood, growing up in the region of Los Angeles known for film and fame

 However, now she has moved to the UK full time to be with her husband. It was said Meghan Markle would become a UK citizen after marrying Prince Harry

 So why isn't the former-actress and UN advisor a citizen yet? Prince Harry's communication's secretary, Jason Knauf, said in December 2017 Meghan would be "compliant with immigration requirements at all times

" "I can also say she intends to become a UK citizen and will go through the process of that, which some of you may know takes a number of years," he added

 Meghan has been married to Prince Harry for nine months. What steps must she go through to eventually become a UK citizen? First, Prince Harry brought Meghan to the UK on a Family Visa

 This would have required Meghan to prove she and Harry had a combined income of £18,600 or that she had £16,000 in the bank - hardly a problem for this pair, with Harry a member of one of the world's wealthiest families while Meghan is worth £3 million in her own right

 The application for the Family Visa would have cost £1,464. The rules state those bringing a fiancé to the UK must marry them within six months - which Harry and Meghan did

 After living on the family visa for sometime, Meghan will then apply for indefinite leave to remain

 She must live in the UK for five years before she can do this. After she has indefinite leave to remain Meghan can apply for citizenship

 The citizenship application costs £1,282. Meghan will also have to have proven her relationship with Prince Harry is genuine, providing records of their romance via text, email etc, photographs of them together or flight tickets

 Can Meghan Markle run for President?  Meghan for president would certainly make for a number of historical firsts

 This would include first woman elected to US president, first mixed heritage woman to be elected to US president and first member of the British Royal Family elected to be US president

Marist Steel Plant: New Fashion and Art & Digital Media Building - Duration: 3:35.

It's been a really good evolution of the program academically.

In terms of expanding the curriculum over the years.

Building very strong majors in design and merchandising.

The team has been growing in terms of the educators.

The student body has been growing tremendously.

We're up to nearly 500 majors at this point.

And the Steel Plant is sort of the perfect missing piece.

Now the facilities will match the best in the world, in terms of other institutions.

Stem to stern, the building is everything we could ask for and everything that any fashion

or art student could ask for.

A critical element of the Marist education is what I call the practical application of theory.

Our students across every discipline don't just do book learning, you know learn the

concepts and the theories behind things, but they have a charge to practically apply that

in capping classes and internships and collaboration and research with faculty.

So when you think about a space like this and you think about the combination of these disciplines,

it's natural that you want to create a space that is more than just a classroom space

where you learn theory, but it's a practical space.

It's an application of theory space.

It's a place for innovation, experimentation, creation.

So we worked very hard.

Working with faculty, students, staff,

our architectural firm, to ensure that we had a space that reflected that, but also

tied itself to the history of the Hudson Valley which is what this building does.

The fashion program has reached these great heights without having the facilities that

really are equal to the work that they've done.

Now with this building, they do have a facility that equals the work that they do.

And our art students have done also remarkable work and now they have a space to inspire

them and to showcase what they do.

So it's just one of the great moments in our college's recent history.

It'll be really nice to have a place to call home.

And for students coming in to see such a great space and like such a way to communicate their ideas

properly, you really need a clean bright space just to think.

It's kind of like having a blank canvas if you think about it, and you can just put on

your creative ideas there.

That's when the ideas from your mind start being translated into a physical space.

I think one of the most important features of the building is that it's such a collaborative space.

The Winter Garden presents a beautiful inspiring area.

Wonderful cafe, easy access to all the technology labs that are downstairs, and the galleries

will be downstairs.

MPorium, which is the fashion program retail laboratory which makes great use of entrepreneurial

skills from the students, which has gone from a little kiosk type of business in our previous

location to a full on luxurious 5th Avenue ready sort of retail space.

I think there's a lot of opportunity within the building.

But I think it's also on the student to take advantage of that opportunity.

I like this program a lot because it's all what you make of it.

The more opportunity that you want to take on and the more opportunity that you see for yourself,

it's available now and more than ever before.

A new documentary is set to give an insight into life at Cliveden House - where Meghan and her mother Doria stayed the night before the royal wedding

  Channel 4's A Very British Country House shows staff at the five-star hotel in Berkshire getting into a frenzy as they prepared to welcome a top secret VIP guest, from chefs in the kitchen to the maintenance men

One of the hotel's Grade I-listed suites, featuring a plush bed and antique furniture, is seen being painted ahead of the arrival - with speculation mounting over who the guest might be

  It is not clear whether this is the exact room that the Duchess of Sussex, 37, stayed in on the night before her wedding - but it is likely that she would have stayed in a similar suite in May

  Staff ensured they laid on the red-carpet treatment for Meghan and her mother Doria, 62, when they stayed at the £1,500-a-night hotel, set in nearly 400 acres of National Trust countryside

 Speaking about the 'honour' of having Meghan stay at the hotel, butler Michael says in the programme: 'Various different people had various different ideas about who it might have been or might not have been

'We were all very excited when we found who it was. We felt like we'd pulled the plum on that one

It was an exciting honour. It's nice to be part of such of a big, and world-wide event

'General manager Kevin, who greeted Meghan and her mother Doria on their arrival, added: 'It was just the most beautiful wedding, and the most beautiful day

 'For Cliveden to have just a very small part of that, albeit the night before, was just amazing'

He revealed that the Meghan effect has been in full action at the hotel in the aftermath of the wedding, with numbers of guests soaring after two million people watched the Duchess leaving Cliveden with Doria on the morning of her wedding

Staff revealed that the number of wedding enquiries for Cliveden had also risen since Harry and Meghan's big day, although there were still some concerns about negative Trip Advisor reviews

 In the first episode of the Channel 4, the careful preparation that goes into welcoming a VIP guest to the hotel was evident during the first episode of the Channel 4 documentary

 Speaking about the speculation over who the visitor might be, receptionist Chloe said: 'We know that it's going to be someone that's higher-ranking in the VIP world

  'There are a lot of whispers, it's a bit of a guessing game as to who it is. It's definitely putting the pressure on us big time

'Meanwhile, maintenance man Mark was seen repainting a luxury suite ahead of the special visitor, but admitted he didn't know who the guest was

'There's a VIP coming that wants to stay this room. We've been asked by the management to basically re-paint the bad areas of the room,' he explained

 Kensington Palace announced just days before the royal wedding on May 19 that Meghan and her mother Doria would be staying at the Cliveden House, where previous guests have included the likes of Winston Churchill, Charlie Chaplin and the Queen Mother

 Harry stayed 15 miles away at the Dorchester Collection's Coworth Park in Ascot, close to the Guards Polo Club, with his best man and brother the Duke of Cambridge

  A Very British Country House airs on Channel 4 at 9pm on Sunday.

Melissa resigned from her job at Kensington Palace just six months after the American actress married into the Royal Family

 'It's a real shock,' a source said at the time. 'Why would she want to leave such a prestigious job so soon?'It's not known if Williams provided a reference for Melissa, but the singer and his wife, fellow X Factor judge Ayda Field, enjoy close links to the Royal Family

Their six-year-old daughter, Theodora, was one of Princess Eugenie's bridesmaids at her wedding at St George's Chapel, Windsor, last month

Prince Harry and Megan Markle's Royal tour is over, but fans won't have to wait long to see the Royal couple again

They plan to make an appearance at the Festival of Remembrance Service at Royal Albert Hall on November 10, according to People

They'll likely be joined in attendance by Kate Middleton and Prince William.The event, set to take place one day before Remembrance Sunday, commemorates all those who've lost their lives in battle

This year marks 100 years since the end of World War I, which makes the occasion all the more special

It'll be Prince Harry's first time attending the Festival of Remembrance Service, hosted by the Royal British Legion

 The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge regularly attend.In the days leading up to the main event, Prince Harry will visit the Field of Remembrance at Westminster Abbey

  Meghan won't join him on that trip, taking place November 8. It'll be Prince Harry's sixth year visiting the Field of Remembrance

 Prince Harry and Meghan haven't joined Kate and Prince William at an official Royal outing since July

The family attended the 100th Anniversary of the Royal Air Force Celebration at Buckingham Palace

The couples saw one another recently at Princess Eugenie's wedding as well.   The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expected to join the Royal family once more for a celebration marking Prince Charles's 70th birthday

The Queen has organized a large party for the future King at Buckingham Palace. According to Hello! Magazine, a reception and dinner will be held in the castle's State Rooms on November 14

Close family and other European royals will attend. Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark confirmed their attendance

Revival is a key theme this year, with many designers offering reinstated classics and brands really reinvesting in themselves

Meanwhile Kim Kardashian inspired an 88 per cent surge of searches for the nineties Gucci thong in the 24 hours after she posted an instagram photo of her wearing it

Elsewhere Gigi Hadid and the new face of classic label Tommy Hilfiger, Hailey Baldwin, have all had an effect on the brand's cascade in demand

 3. Naked fashionSheer dressing, nude coloured bikinis and bondage style outfits have all been popular among the celebrity realm in 2018

  Some of the stars that have embraced the risque style include Cara Delevingne, Rosie Huntington Whiteley and Emily Ratajkowski

Just 48 hours after Rosie Huntington Whiteley wore a black bondage style Versace dress to the GQ Men Of The Year Awards, there was a 21 per cent surge in searches for black bondage style items Key swimwear colour search terms including 'flesh', 'nude' and 'natural' collectively are up 45 per cent year on year

 4. Logo maniaThe logo craze started gaining momentum in 2017, with Supreme and Champion leading the hottest logos of 2018

 And this year we've seen new brand names top logo specific searches.Fendi's double letter print catapulted back into the spotlight in February when both Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner posted photos wearing the designer

Meanwhile when Kourtney Kardashian wore Faith Connexion X Kappa Side Panel Track Pants in an Airport in Tokyo in February, there was a 49 per cent increase in searches for Kappa track pants

5. Bike shortsIt's been hard not to miss this lingering trend, originally made iconic by Princess Diana

The classic street wear garment is now being worn by everyone, and the movement went from movement went from work out wear to wardrobe staple
