Artificial Intelligence Learns to see in the dark - Duration: 2:36.

hey guys , the researchers and scientists of MIT has found a way through which

A.I can catch and detect things in dark and unclear situations and make much detailed image in the computer

So in this video i am going to cover this thing , so guys the scientist and researchers of MIT has literally trained AI for this

or you can say a lot of programming which increased the capability of A.I ,

so all those images where the picture was not clear because of no light , or blurred due to some reasons or grainy

and now A.I can clear them all , not only mit but nvidia is also using A.I to do the same thing

though MIT people worked really hard through which the quality is enhanced of A.I

and because of which its working really great in all the grainy images , now here they trained on 10,000 grainy images

and photographs , and we can see that A.I can really improve like a kid or child does and with the level of same perfection

AND NOW THE BIGGEST BENEFIT OF THIS IS THE X RAYS OF PEOPLE HAVING CANCER BUT AT A VERY EARLY STAGE WHICH IS GENERALLY NOT DETECTED CAN NOW BE DETECTED

AND this is the only place where its the most beneficial as with the help of AI these diseases can stopped at a very early stage

Apart from this no doubt it will be also used by cameras of different-different devices

so what you guys think of A.I DO YOU GUYS LIKE IT or not ? PLEASE DO COMMENT ABOUT THAT , so that's it for this video , i hope you guys liked it

if so PLEASE Hit the LIKE button and share it with your friends and don't forget to subscribe the channel and while subscribing hit bell icon to get the notification of the next upcoming videos

Anti Aging Tips Specific Eye Gels for Dark Circles Puffiness Fine Lines Wrinkles - Duration: 9:11.

So are you looking for a specific Eye Gel product that actually addresses dark

circles under your eyes, sagging and bagging, fine lines, wrinkles, and

puffiness? Well stick with us, we're going to go over some very specific products that

actually address those symptoms. Okay, so for the first one we are going to

address is the Image Vital C Eye Recovery Gel. And the texture is actually

between a cream and a gel. So it is a little bit more rich-textured than a gel

but not as heavy as a cream. So it is a little bit more flexible in use. Also,

this is the PRO TIP! So the PRO TIP with this is you can actually refrigerate

this and use this as an an eye mask. If you want to, you can leave it on

overnight. And you can use it all the way around your entire periocular area

right here. So here's some things that are great with this. So if you use this,

because it has a Vitamin C, you can actually use this, pair this up with

their Image sunscreen and it actually increases the photo-aging protection of

the sunscreen in there, in addition to their formulations which already has

anti-oxidants. It also has Sodium Hyaluronate so it is a powerful humectant,

it is non-comedogenic, so it doesn't clog the pores, and Hyaluronic Acid, it

actually holds up to a thousand times its weight in water. Okay, so this is

actually GREAT for people who have some fine lines and some wrinkles. So not too

heavy in the fine line department. It's actually really good for people who are

in their 20's and all the way up to the mid-30's. If you are approaching your late

30's and into your 40's and 50's, this is a little bit more lightweight as far as

the anti-oxidant delivery and anti-aging delivery. So, great for traveling, so

especially if you're a traveler, you have a little bit of puffiness, dehydration, a

little bit of dark circles due to traveling and being

tired, then this will be great for that. But if you have under-eye circles, we

will revie-, we will be reviewing something a little bit more heavy-duty. Okay? So

this one has a great anti-inflammatory properties. So again, this is great for

protection and prevention. So there's two different types of peptides that help

decrease under-eye circles by 19%. So the first one is Palmitoyl Tripeptide and

the other one is Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide. It also contains a Polypeptide Complex

that actually INCREASES your skin's firmness and elasticity. Now the next one

is also a Image Ormedic Eye Lift Gel, and this is a water-based gel. So it

is great to use with eyelash extensions, and it's also great if you have

breakout-prone skin or, you, you know, you breakout or you tend to have oily skin.

It does have Sodium Hyaluronate, which is a Hyaluronic Acid, and once again, it is a

humectant, it doesn't clog the pores, and it holds up to a thousand times its wha-,

its weight in water. Now this actually addresses crow's feet. So obviously

crow's feet are established wrinkles. So it addresses fine lines, as well as some

sagging and bagging, under eye circles, and some puffiness. And here is the PRO

TIP for this one. You can actually put it in the refrigerator for about 20 minutes,

and then if you actually have really tired eyes or puffiness, you can apply

that gel around your eyes, and it has its cooling effect, anti-inflammatory effect,

to really reduce that puffiness. So if you come home, and you're going to go

back out again, and you notice that you have some puffiness around your eyes,

this is a great way to reduce that puffiness INSTANTLY. This product line

also is focused on more for those who want a more plant-based, botanical,

anti-aging peptide technology. So what it does is it brings together the organic,

some of the organic plant-based botanicals with the anti-aging

anti-oxidants, and peptides. For example, it actually uses

apple plant stem cells to increase, and the longevity of production and

protection of skin cells. And believe it or not, it actually has Kombucha

Saccharomyces. And so what that is, is a black tea ferment, so the same stuff that

everybody's drinking around here, the Kombucha. It increases the probi-,

probiotics as far as your skin cells. It increases radiance and it actually helps

your skin's ability to fight, or, its own skin's immunity. Now be careful! For some

of you who are sensitive to yeast, so for those of you who have Eczema or

Psoriasis tendencies, or you have extremely sensitive skin, use this with

caution. For some of you it's actually helped your skin fight the fungal

infection of yeast overgrowth and others it actually has exacerbated Eczema or

Psoriasis outbreak. So it depends on every individual. So you might want to

test this out first before using it. Now as far as the

powerful peptides, it actually has T.G.F.: Transforming Growth-, I forgot here...

Factor! Oh my gosh! Hello... Now as for the powerful peptides for anti-aging, it

actually contains T.G.F.: Transforming Growth Factor, and this helps with

Collagen production, Elastin production, and really addresses those established

crow's feet. And really, it increases the the skin's elasticity, firmness, and

radiance in your skin. And before we get to our FINAL gel, please hit the "LIKE"

THUMBS UP if this is the kind of information

that you are looking for and this is relevant to you. And if you can hit that

SUBSCRIPTION button as well as the notification bell, you will be notified

as soon as we put up our newest videos. This tells YouTube that this is the

information that you want so it will actually show up in your feed. And our

FINAL one is the Eyebright Anti-Puffiness Gel, or Gelee. The pH of this is

7, so it's neutral, so basically what's the positive of that is it actually

works with any of the products that you are using. So it doesn't inhibit or

neutralize most of the skincare products that you are using. This is also great

for someone who's budget-conscious. HOWEVER, because it is less in price, it

does have some great benefits, but it doesn't have as many anti-oxidants and,

especially, it doesn't have as many peptides to help prevent further aging

of the skin. So, this is actually ideal for someone who is younger. So maybe, up

to early 30's, it would be great. It is a water-based gel so it's actually ideal

to use with eyelash extensions. It does prevent fine lines and wrinkles, it helps

hydrates the skin, it reduces obvious puffiness, but again, if you are in your

mid-30's and up, this is probably not, you're not going to see too much of a

difference. Great for people who are younger. So it actually INCREASES the

hydrating properties of, around your eyes by using Sodium Hyaluronate, once again, the

Hyaluronic Acid, AND Glycerin. So both of these are humectants, it draws moisture

from the surrounding environment and binds it to your skin. It also contains

Locust Bean extract, which is also a humectant and a moisturizer, draws

moisture to the skin, but it also helps with the skin's firmness. Now remember, in-,

inflammation INCREASES aging, so it has an anti-inflammatory, and it is from the

Sea Leaf extract. So basically what that does is remineralize the skin around the

eyes. Now it does have some anti-aging ingredients in there, so it does have

some peptides, and it goes under the name, the trademark name, "EYELISS". And basically

what it contains in the Eyeliss is the Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide, Dipeptide,

and the last one is Hesperidin Methyl Chalcone, which all three of

those, what they do is they increase the skin's elasticity and firmness, it

decreases bag volume, as well as increasing the radiance around your eyes.

So if you're not sure whether to use an eye cream, which is more beneficial, eye

cream or eye gel? We do have a video that talks about eye cream or eye gel: Which

is better? So go ahead and join us in that next video and see you there!

How dark is it on Pluto? - Duration: 2:13.

A lot of you have asked: how are the New Horizon's images of Pluto so bright, seeing as Pluto

is so far away from the Sun?

Surely Pluto would be pitch-black in reality, right?

Well, the answer is, with your naked eye, if you were to look at Pluto it would indeed

be darker than in these images, but not as dark as you may suspect.

Thankfully we don't have to try and imagine it, because twice a day on Earth at dawn and

dusk, the illumination of our sky matches how bright Pluto can get at high noon.

NASA calls this pluto time, and you can check this website out to find out when it will

happen next where you are.

As you can see, it's Pluto time here, and my mobile phone camera can still easily take

a video.

Pluto is an average of 40 times further away from the Sun than the Earth, and has only

1/1600 the sunlight.

Direct sunlight on Earth is 100,000 lumens per square meter, so on Pluto it would be

around 60, the equivalent to an indoor stairway or corridor lighting.

Even if that level was a problem for our cameras, we can see darker objects by utilizing longer

exposure times.

Here's night-time where I am, and with a 15 second exposure, my camera can pick up

lots of details.

And if it still appears dark, I can always up the brightness afterwards in some editing

software.

So there you go!

Why Pluto appears so bright in New Horizon's photos.

If you want your question answered, ask in the comments and yours might be picked next!

This is a little experiment series to see if there is interest in shorter videos, and

if there is, it will mean you will get 4 videos a month instead of two!

No, We Did Not Just Solve Dark Matter and Dark Energy | SciShow News - Duration: 5:35.

[♪ INTRO]

Maybe you've seen some of the headlines over the last week or so:

"Mystery 'dark fluid' could make up 95% of the universe."

"We might have finally discovered where the missing 95% of the universe is."

They're referring to a paper published last week in Astronomy & Astrophysics,

where a postdoctoral fellow from Oxford proposed a hypothesis that identified

95% of the missing stuff in the universe.

According to the author, Jamie Farnes, the missing stuff in question takes the form of

a fluid with quote-unquote "negative gravity," which permeates all of space.

And his work is based on the combination of two older ideas in physics.

But that's the thing: these are all just ideas, nowhere close to proven theories.

And some of the coverage has been a little, you know, over-hyped.

So here's what the paper actually argues, and how likely it really is.

Our current understanding of the universe says that only about 5% of everything is the

stuff we can actually see, including regular matter and light.

Another 26% is matter we can't directly observe; what we call dark matter,

which is not so much "dark" as "invisible."

The other 69% or so is made up of dark energy,

which is basically the biggest mystery cosmology has to solve at the moment.

All we really know is it's a sort of pressure that keeps the collapsing power of gravity

at bay, and even overpowers it on an intergalactic scale.

Right now, dark energy is making the universe's expansion accelerate.

Cosmologists have spent the past several decades trying to figure out what either or

both of these actually are.

Sometimes it feels like they're just throwing ideas at a wall and waiting to see what sticks.

Or, rather, what the observed data don't contradict.

This new hypothesis claims to not just explain what dark matter or dark energy is.

It tries to unite them both into a single substance, called a "negative mass fluid,"

or "dark fluid," which would be everywhere, with more of it being generated all the time.

The idea incorporates two older, also-hypothetical concepts: negative mass and matter creation.

Negative mass is basically like the gravity version of a negative electrical charge.

As far as we know, there's no reason it shouldn't exist,

we've just never seen any outside of special lab experiments.

As this new paper explains it, positive mass attracts positive mass,

what we're used to seeing from gravity.

On the other hand, if you pushed something with negative mass away,

it would actually move toward you.

But Farnes also claims that two negative mass particles should repel one another, which

runs totally counter to the established rules of general relativity,

the physics that governs much of the universe.

That's one obvious problem some cosmologists have with this hypothesis, especially because

Farnes put the repulsion idea in there because he thought it made sense,

rather than getting it from mathematical equations.

But it's a fundamental change that this whole new model depends on,

so we're just gonna have to take it as-is, for the moment.

Physicists have dismissed negative mass as a potential dark energy candidate because

as far as we can tell, the density of dark energy stays constant as the universe expands,

whereas the density of negative mass would go down as it spread out.

So Farnes' hypothesis includes matter creation: the idea that this negative matter is continuously

created throughout the universe, keeping its density constant.

This is actually an idea that early 20th-century astronomers invoked for positive mass to

argue that the universe had an infinite age and was always the same size,

meaning it didn't start with the Big Bang.

Matter creation doesn't jibe with observations, though.

So Farnes only allows it for negative mass, not for the regular positive stuff, and suggests

we could find evidence of it using future telescopes that will map out the distribution

and movement of galaxies through the history of the universe.

All together, he argues it's a sensible hypothesis because it simplifies two mysteries

into one, and introduces some mathematically attractive symmetry to the matter in our universe.

But is all the regular matter out there really just a bunch of rubber ducks floating along

in a universe-sized ocean of "dark fluid"?

I mean, it's way too soon to declare an answer to that question, but naturally, many

cosmologists have arguments against this proposal.

One problem is that if the vacuum of space were capable of spontaneously generating negative

mass, quantum mechanics would dictate that it, and therefore everything,

would become really unstable.

That doesn't seem to have happened.

Then there's the lack of evidence for matter creation.

But one of the biggest problems with this whole situation is that the published press release

failed to emphasize how preliminary it is,

and then some media outlets just kind of ran with the hype.

Farnes has taken issue with that overhyping, too, but then again,

he wrote a similar article himself.

Maybe this paper is onto something, and we really do need to investigate the idea that

dark matter and dark energy are a single fluid with negative mass.

But when you're working with the biggest mysteries of the universe, the answers are

never solved by a single piece of research.

Deltarune's Dark World, EXPLAINED! (Undertale / Deltarune Theory - Jevil Follow Up) - Duration: 11:37.

(Dog noise)

One room scattered with game pieces…

Two worlds completely separated, but so close together…

This is the tale of Deltarune.

A behind-the-scenes story that is just as mysterious as the hidden lore in Undertale.

We're thrown in the midst of chaos only to return to where we started before we realize

our adventure is coming to a close.

But once this is done, we're left with many pieces that don't make sense…

Both figuratively, and literally.

In my last video I pretty much covered Jevil A to Z from everything we are told in the

game.

If you haven't watched that video, I highly recommend doing so since it sorta sets the

stage for this one.

Because in this video we're going to be breaking down the dark world piece by piece

to better understand what exactly is going on…

And it's going to be a lot because there's quite a bit to work with…

Sponsorships help out a ton, so I want to thank Skillshare for sponsoring this video.

Okay…

Let's talk about Deltarune's Dark World now.

Starting off, we know the Dark World exists due to the secret egg we can pull out of it

along side how Susie reacts immediately when she leaves it.

But beyond those two examples, the first thing our character tries to tell Undyne is that

the Dark World is real as well.

Undyne asks us if we want to report anything, and Kris tries to warn her that a Dark World

exists inside of the school, only for her to laugh it off.

This is something I totally forgot to mention in my last video - as the fact that Kris decides

to tell someone of authority, a police officer, that something weird is happening in the school.

If this was a make believe scenario, why would Kris - who is sort of shy from what I can

tell - try to report the incident?

It doesn't add up…

But anyways, I digress.

Let's swing back over to the entry point of the Dark World: The closet and abandoned

classroom.

Now we don't know what actually is in the supply closet besides papers on the floor

and chalk, but we do see what appears to be our entire journey through the dark world

in the abandoned classroom.

Our mind starts to piece it together as we see the isolated scattered things across the

floor.

The checkerboard, the stuffed doll, the cards…

From left to right was our quest.

To break it down further, we started off in the dark closet.

This dusty closet mirrors well with the first area we explore.

After talking with Ralsei, we leave through a giant door…

And that's when we actually transition into the classroom.

This is when we make it through the Field of Hopes and Dreams, which is what this giant

purple printed carpet represents.

Card minions are scattered about similar to how we run into them multiple times in fights.

Seam is located up north, which lines up with his shop location.

There's even a clock overlooking this entire area.

Once we exit this area, we head onto the checkerboard which mirrors where we go next in Deltarune.

Of course, if we look very closely, we can see that god is waiting for us on the other

side.

The king of legs himself - rivaling that of Mettaton, dances furiously on the edge of

the board.

And from our sky view, we can see his red brilliance guarding the-

[Cough]

But from this point forward, we head into the forest and eventually approach Card

Castle.

The large pool of red pieces could very well represent the trees we encounter, and of course

all the cards again are the minions we face.

Card Castle itself is the game cabinet, and the floors of the castle are mirrored by the

shelves within.

And with that, we have our general flow of how this room parallels to the dark world.

And honestly, I love it because when I was a child my brother and I did this same thing

in our basement.

We created various subregions and played made up RPG's with different toys, and we used

a keyboard in our house set to auto to play songs it had installed.

That was the music to our game…

But now that we have the map outlined, how do all the individual pieces actually influence

things?

There's a lot of cool things in the works, so let's go over them piece by piece.

First and foremost - let's literally cover the pieces.

Throughout Deltarune we encounter all sorts of interesting components to actual games.

Checker pieces, Chess pieces, cards from a deck of cards, and so much more.

In my previous videos I've talked about how the I believe the Dark World itself is

influenced by everything within this part of the school.

It's almost as if a timeline is being created within these rooms - an alternative universe

of sorts.

Whatever is in these rooms becomes a part of that universe.

Given that, we can assume anything that is brought into the rooms affects the world directly.

This is why Susie and Kris have such an impact.

But that is also why the hierarchy and overall the order of the world exists too.

The way the room is laid out literally defines the surface of the world.

If someone moved the checkerboard, it might very well relocate that in this world's

existence.

But the purpose of the pieces comes into play too.

When we're moving across the game board, C. Round - which is the checker piece dog,

actually powers up a ton simply because it was a normal game piece that reached the other

side of board.

Obviously in a game of checkers, this turns a normal game piece into a king vastly improving

its movement choices.

While this is a game mechanic outside of the Dark World, it becomes reality within the

Dark World by granting this piece heightened abilities and dashing, bone-crushing legs.

Alongside this we of course run into a lot of Ponmans in this great board region.

These are pretty much spot on for what pawns would be within the game of chess, and their

difficulty reflects that.

Prior to entering the great board we have puzzle pieces as well, but by far the biggest

influence over this world is directly related to playing cards.

Throughout our journey we encounter all sorts of cards.

Rudinns, Hathys, Rudinn rangers, etc - are all derived from your basic deck of cards.

Even characters like Clover have a place in it, as they represent the Clubs suit.

It's actually really neat to see where all these characters are derived from.

The original designer for a lot of these characters, as I pointed out in my Deltarune's Unseen

War video, is an artist who goes by Kanotynes.

What's interesting is that a lot of the characters we know and love were actually

fully illustrated prior to even Undertale being a thing.

In 2012 Kanotynes had a design class in which they were making characters based off of a

deck of playing cards.

We can see characters like Lancer, who is based off of spades obviously, in full glory

sprawled out on a card.

It's kind of neat to think that they were just now brought to life in character form

publicly only a month or so ago.

The King is there too, and from that point forward other characters were created based

off this similar concept.

Beyond the cards mentioned, we of course have Rouxls Kaard, who is literally the rules card

- the other kings who are held captive, Jevil, who is one of the joker cards, the Queen who

is mentioned by Jevil, and of course a mysterious Knight who seems to be the one running everything.

We're currently missing the aces as well, and judging by the characters, it seems that

all face cards in the deck have notable power.

By the juxtaposition of Lancer's original drawing, it appears that he falls into the

role of a Jack.

Which would sort of make sense given that he serves the King (his father).

But just a moment before I mentioned the Knight being something that apparently governed over

them all.

Obviously a lot of the decks we're familiar with in the United States lack Knight cards.

However, in other countries, Knight cards can be found seemingly in place of Jacks and

they act as a face card.

Seeing as the Knight is a source of power in the Dark World, it does seem weird that

a lower tier card has influence over a card like the King.

However, there's a lot of different ways we can look at this.

For starters, Knights are a Chess piece as well.

They are capable of moving irregularly and are a good middle-tier piece.

But it wouldn't make sense for a chess piece to have influence in a world run by cards.

However, Knights can be found in a different deck as well…

A deck of tarot cards.

These are built out into additional suits such as the Knight of Wands, Knight of Coins,

Knight of Cups, and Knight of Swords.

Each one with different meaning behind it.

This is interesting as well because it plays into the whole Jevil angle too.

In Jevil's subplot, we find out that Seam the shopkeeper is closely intertwined with

him.

Seam tells us that he was the court magician, and that Jevil used to be the Jester.

This parallels perfectly with the Fool and Magician card roles in Tarochini - which are

17th century tarot card game types.

Within these game types, the Fool and the Magician are known as counters and can be

used separately or together.

According to Wikipedia's breakdown of the Fool's role, the Fool can't be captured

while the Magician is vulnerable…

Which is pretty interesting given our story.

Seam tells us that as the court mage, he was Jevil's only companion.

Jevil was the only one to match him in the games they played.

Which makes total sense since both cards have similar abilities.

They're both wild cards essentially.

While other cards could be capable of capturing the Fool, in the sense of a game's plot,

it would make sense that only someone of equal ability would be able to actually seal him

away for good.

Given that Card Castle takes place in the standalone game closet, it makes me wonder

if Jevil was literally put back into the box.

All the other cards are free to roam this room metaphorically, but the Fool is banished

to this realm and only the players, people with the ability to move game pieces, can

set him free.

But that makes things interesting as well.

If Jevil is sealed away in this world simply because he was put back into a box, then that

means what he told us could have been more literal than figurative.

Telling us that the knight's hand is drifting forward and the the queen is returning could

literally be just that: Someone is going to reintroduce a queen card, or possibly chess

piece, back into the game room.

While "the knight's hand is drifting forward" could be taken as "the knight's plans

are being set into motion", it could just be referring to how those in this sub world

rationalize the actual game players.

If someone came along from the real world, or at least what we think is the real world,

and had the ability to influence anything in your world - by rearranging, adding, or

subtracting the boundaries and parts that make up the world you live in, you'd view

them as a god.

Them coming back and moving something would change everything about what you know.

So given this, it makes a ton of sense that the Knight isn't actually a figure in the

Dark World.

It's a character who has entered the abandoned classroom before, and by moving things or

putting away pieces, they changed the structure of the Dark World…

But who could be the Knight then?

One of the other students?

Perhaps your brother Asriel?

I mean, he is returning…

It's possibly he could be deemed as the knight…

But really anyone or anything could be the knight given that circumstance.

Until we have more information about this Dark World, and how it is all strung together,

we really can't say for certain.

Like I said in my last videos, I do believe something weird is going on in this school

room.

What started as people playing board games evolved into a real world that was originally

based in fiction.

How this sub world was generated is still up in the air, but given the mysterious man

behind the tree, I have a feeling, or at least a hope, it'll tie into Gaster.

Regardless it feels a lot like Toy Story and how every object is actually sentient in some

regards.

I'm sure the metaphors and symbolism go far deeper than we might think, but then again,

there's always the chance we're overthinking it all too.

Regardless, let me know what your take on the Dark World, its symbolism, and who

you think the knight actually is in the comments below.

And with that…

Thanks for tuning in to this cross-game analysis!

If you haven't checked out my previous video about Deltarune's true villain, I highly

recommend doing so.

Or, if you're up for something really bizarre, check out my video about Mirror Worlds in

video games.

Thanks for watching guys and gals, and until my next video - cheers!

Doctor Who Lost in the Dark Dimension THE MOVIE - Duration: 1:50:17.

There's something down there.

It's been here.

We're too late. He's dead.

Go with the honour you deserve, Doctor.

It's up to us. We'll have to open the vortex ourselves.

There's enough power charged up for a test run.

Right. Visors on.

Mason! Narrow the field!

Okay Flemyng. Now!

How far back's it going?

They used to call it the Big Bang.

The hydrogen inrush. The point when creation began.

Nothing else has killed it. How can you be so sure this will?

The Doctor lost his life gambling that it would.

What other choice have we got?

This is our last chance, isn't it?

Summerfield?

Flemyng! On watch!

We've only got one shot at this.

If it's not in the centre of the funnel when the power comes on, we're as good as de-

Get out of here, quick. It's found us!

What the hell are you doing?

Baiting the trap.

Now!

That's not possible.

What's happened?

Another entrance to the vortex is opening up.

It's escaped into the past!

Patrol zone now being scanned.

Nothing.

Wait a second. Focus on that.

Inert. Probably dead.

You ought to check.

It's probably just a scavenger.

Leave him to rot.

I'm picking up some sort of reading.

He's alive.

It's registering a double echo.

That's not possible.

I've crosschecked three times. It keeps coming back the same.

Two heartbeats for one body? You've gotta be joking.

Could be a punter.

Got lost - wandered into a curfew zone?

Wood's been splintered.

Probably trying to get in here when they got him.

Or... Was he trying to get away?

You don't see them...

you don't hear them...

you never know what hit you.

It was simpler when they just used to beg on the street.

Big mistake coming down here.

They're more predatorial at night.

What the-

It's coming...

It's...

What?

Scavengers?

No. No. I have to save her.

I have to save her.

Let's get out of-

Oh hell.

We better take him back.

The Med-Techs will want him, if our lot don't.

Scavenger ambush. We've gotta get out of here!

Get his other arm.

Deavish? Get an arm.

Now!

There's more than just a dual cardiovascular system.

His entire internal structure

-is just so...

Speak Dr. Keller. Air your thoughts.

It's almost...alien.

The word implies many things, all far from normal.

Please, go on.

Well, look at the lungs.

The fibres have an extra layer of tissue.

He seems to be able to store small quantities of air.

Only for a brief time, but...

And the blood tests?

There's been a slight problem…

As an agent for the main sponsor of this hospital,

phrases such as problem, always give me cause for concern.

Please, tell me more.

Apart from being unable to locate a major vein,

The needle breaks.

The minute it touches his skin, it just snaps.

Professor? Frelane.

<i>Two Paracops found him.</i>

<i>A few credits should keep them quiet.</i>

You want them silenced?

<i>A scavenger attack could be arranged.</i>

Very well.

My men could deliver him to you.

Oh, within the hour.

Mr Frelane, it's the patient. He's escaped!

<i>Frelane?</i>

<i>Frelane?</i>

Ohh!

Must...

Have to...

To find her...

Got to... To save her.

Save her. Save her!

<i>Terrestrial man fancied that there might be other men upon Mars.</i>

<i>Yet, across the gulf of space,</i>

<i>minds immeasurably superior to ours,</i>

<i>intellects vast and cool and unsympathetic,</i>

<i>regarded this Earth with envious eyes.</i>

<i>And slowly and surely,</i>

They drew their plans against us.

Sorry it took so long.

Text printed on paper's so outdated.

There's no call for this kind of thing now.

VDU disks are so much easier to find.

And carry.

We interrupt your programme to take you live to our outside broadcast unit.

Tony, can you tell us exactly what's going on?

AJ, with only an hour's notice to the World Press Centre,

the turn out here is as remarkable as you'd expect!

Could you explain the significance of this press conference?

Many words have been used to describe him.

Mogul. Entrepreneur. Magnate.

Commentators have made an allusion to William Randolph Hurst and Howard Hughes.

This is certainly a unique, unprecedented event.

The first time that Professor Oliver Hawkspur has ever-

Ladies. Gentlemen. You see before you an honest man.

My concern is not only for the isle on which we stand but,

for the planet as a whole.

I know that there are those who clearly doubt my integrity.

Cast scorn on my work as an industrialist.

The main enviromental protection groups even throw accusations that I, single handedly,

am destroying the Earth's natural resources.

The world is dying.

But, there is a way ahead. A way for mankind to survive.

And you must trust me to show you how.

I'd formally like to announce my intention to stand against the current government in the forthcoming general election.

The Evolutionary Party will,

and you have my solumn word on this,

change the face of the planet as we know it.

Guess who?

That's such a cliche.

Such stylish delivery though...

Deny it if you dare...

Ham.

The lady dost cast grave doubts on my acting. Me thinks I am offended!

Come here...

Me thinks you're being a bit of a prat.

Whatever happened to that environmental terrorist I fell for?

You're squashing her nose.

She's also turning into a Sci-Fi junkie. What next - Asimov under the bed?

That doesn't stop you being madly in love with me does it?

Have you got that in writing?

No, but you'd-

Dorothy?

Dorothy, what's wrong?

<i>His strength returned as he saw the grail, yet he knew it was still far away...</i>

Just get me out of here.

We are such stuff as dreams are made on.

<i>And our little life...</i>

<i>is rounded with sleep...</i>

This is hardly the most inspiring school outing for them, is it?

You think I should shield them from what's going on?

Make them grow up as blind as we were?

That's a very liberal outlook.

I'm sure they'd rather be playing football.

What's so liberal about telling them the truth?

Sorry miss.

Football? Wake up Alex, this is the 90s.

More like Nintendo.

Nin-what?

High functioning bipeds, capable of amazing feats of ingenuity.

Yet they still delude themselves it's a free country.

Does it make you feel futile, Sampson?

Sorry, sir?

Being human? Don't you feel inadequate about that fact?

Sorry sir, I don't quite understand.

That would appear to be the problem with your entire species.

Possible danger. Subject closing in from the north west.

Stop him, before he gets too close.

A new dawn is breaking for all our lives.

You scorn me, when you should trust me.

They're meant to be leading a protest against him!

He's got them in the palm of his hand!

<i>Get out of here. Get away.</i>

<i>Get away from here!</i>

You sought a target. A reason to-

<i>You scorn me, when you should trust me...</i>

<i>Dorothy?</i>

Dorothy? What the hell's wrong?

The future is in my hands. And mine alone.

We'd better get you to hospital.

Let me go!

Do not move. Escape is impossible.

<i>Stop. No, bring them to me. Alive!</i>

Take cover!

<i>Dorothy?</i>

Dorothy?

Are you alright?

What's happening to me?

Let's get out of here!

Where the hell have we landed?

It's Winter. 1999.

Daleks aren't meant to be in this time zone.

Yeah, but don't forget what is.

You know what it's capable of!

And now it's got Sanders and Flemyng

Who was the girl?

I don't know. But I've got a feeling that if we find her, we'll find the Doctor.

The chemical research division reports complete success Mr Hawkspur!

A spore has been developed capable of breaking down, separating and liquefying rock into it's compound elements.

Waste division reports 100% success. 20,000 gallons of untreated waste has been dumped off the coast of North Wales.

Chemical Plant Allocation have confirmed that the Bratal Rain Forest campaign has been defeated. All vegetation will be cleared in eleven days…

Construction will begin on day 14 of your schedule.

Satisfactory results when they should be exceptional.

The Earth is an untapped reservoir of power.

Your task is to control it.

Manipulate it. Drain it dry.

Dig into it's heart, it's core.

I want to feel this planet's blood congeal on my hand!

Now, go!

Speak to me!

<i>Sir. We have the Eco-Troopers.</i>

I'm on my way.

Ah, Frelane!

We have a slight problem to deal with.

Namely, your incompetence.

Do you think I'll get the sack?

Why?

Well, when parents start to complain that their children are being taught by a lunatic...

I just can't see it going down well with the Headmaster.

Don't worry. They probably thought you were playing.

Give them some credit, Alex.

I know they're not in MENSA but they're not that stupid.

There's not a curfew on in this area, is there?

Just running late. Stop worrying.

There's a phone back there. I think I'll-

Let me go.

But you're-

I'm fine.

Bad daydreams. Nothing more.

Besides, if the train comes, you can keep it waiting till I get back.

Alex...

Let stealth be our watchword, shhh!

It would seem that my past is catching up with me.

And, as you can see-

You're human!

How observant you are!

I've moved onto a higher plane of thought and existence.

And you know, I'm actually pleased to see you.

Your ancestors offer very little amusement value when one terminates their lives...

Whereas, you appreciate death with a far greater sense of irony.

When the others find the Doc-

Doctor?

Please, don't you think I realise the scale of my mistake?

If I'd have absorbed his mind instead of killing him, I'd have known about that little trap you set for me in advance.

Much like yourselves, I deduced that a time traveller with such obvious affection for this planet, would have visited at some point in the past.

I watched. I waited. I found him.

I'm so grateful to you for giving me a second chance to eradicate your species. This time I promise you, I'm doing it with far more style.

Oh, incidentally, I applaud your valiant efforts to follow me into the past.

But you mistimed it. You're 19 years too late.

I found the Doctor first.

It's quite stimulating trying to keep control of him.

Since he escaped from here, he seems to be regaining some of the instincts and faculties I wiped from his memory.

This isn't the one.

There is a young girl who seems to be causing the problem.

I don't know how, but I will when I find her. You have my word on that.

Restrain him.

I don't see that recapturing the Doctor will be that much of a problem.

It would seem that wherever she may go...

<i>he will surely follow...</i>

There's evidence of an attack.

We've found a kind of webbing all over the place, sir.

How many casualties?

No bodies. We've found an ID card.

We don't know if there was anyone with him.

Mystery continues to surround the disappearance of Alex Stewart,

son of the former head of the United Nations Intelligence Taskforce, Brigadier Lethbridge Stewart.

Tony McCabe sent this report earlier today.

Long renowned for his reluctance to speak of his time with UNIT,

today's unexpected return from the international peace conference in Geneva, showed no signs of change with his attitude towards the media.

Would you comment on the widely held belief, that your son's been taken by a foreign power?

Middle East or the Orient, Brigadier?

Has there been any kind of ransom demand?

Imbeciles!

Feeling any better?

How did I-

More to the point, who brought you here. And why?

Have they found Alex?

My son appears to have simply vanished into thin air. Or...

Or what?

Tell me about your dreams, Dorothy.

Sorry?

Please. It's important.

I don't know. Well, it's just I keep seeing-

Autons? Yeti? Cybermen? Daleks?

You respond to words that you've never even heard.

When I found you outside, I thought you were unconscious.

But you kept saying things. Names. Places from my past.

I think you're being used as a desperate cry for help.

What? I don't understand. What do you mean, by who?

A traveller. A colleague. I suppose I could even call him a friend.

It must have been close to 20 years ago. I was still involved with UNIT.

There was a call from Whitehall. There was a bad accident at the Pharos Centre.

They were using the radio telescope to monitor space waves, that sort of thing.

Some poor chap fell off it's highest gantry.

The fall should have killed him instantly.

It was the Doctor.

He should have regenerated.

Something held him. It wouldn't let his body die.

I gave him what sanctuary I could. In a UNIT hospital.

But after a few days, he just disappeared.

And he's asking for help, through me?

You've just proved it to me.

The public know nothing about the Pharos Centre.

You didn't know what I meant by regenerated. Or who the Doctor was.

If we can find the Doctor, I think we'll find the answer to everything.

How do we do that?

That's one thing I do have the answer to.

Are you sure this is it?

The monitor only picked up a brief body scan on her.

But I've never known the tracking beam to be wrong yet.

Get undercover, quick!

Where the hell did you find this thing?

Don't tell me. It's the Doctor's.

I've looked after it since he last worked for UNIT.

I give it a run now and again, just to charge up the battery.

And unnerve the odd Porsche driver...

It covers a twenty mile area.

When it picks up a twin heartbeat, it'll register where the Doctor is.

That could take forever.

Why haven't you used it to try and find him before?

Up until now, I've never had any proof that he's been so close.

Proof?

What do you think brought you to my house in the first place?

<i>If you could move through static electricity,</i>

know it's power. Feel it's potency.

Do you think you would ever want to return to your natural form?

I don't know, Mr Hawkspur.

Uncertainty is the downfall of most species.

With you, it's almost a virtue.

What do you want, Snyder?

Surveillance have found the people you're looking for, sir.

Thank you.

Tell them I'll deal with it personally.

Bring them to me.

Shadows can't kill you, Everitt.

I saw something move.

Come on, if we don't find that car by dawn, they could easily move out of range.

Shh! Listen.

What is it?

Mason!?

Split up. Keep to the main street!

Noo!

Summerfield, get out of here!

He's here?

The least we can do is look inside.

Now what was the UNIT motto? "Exspectabilis quod improvisus"

Yeah. Expect the unexpected.

Doctor? Doctor, is that you?

We are such stuff as dreams are made on. And our little life is rounded with a sleep.

Oh, dear.

Ohh! What else can I do?

How about going away and just leaving me to gather dust like everything else in this place.

I think it's what I deserve and I am wholeheartedly resigned to my fate.

No! Actually I'm relishing every minute of it!

If I can maintain my current rate, I should have read everything here by the time I reach my sixth regeneration…

Possibly twice.

But, I thought you were calling for help!

No, no, no, no…. You were always asking ME for help.

'Doctor, only you can stop the Daleks' 'Doctor only you can defeat the Autons!'

Sounds familiar, doesn't it? It was all so tedious. Very, very boring.

Now, just a minute!

You're getting a bit sentimental in your old age. You ought to regenerate before it gets any worse.

Oh I forgot. You're just a human aren't you?

Damn it, man!

I've spent my entire career defending your every move, never once questioning your motives.

And this is how you repay me?

I last see you during the Zygon Gambit and then you turn up half dead at the Pharos Centre...

Who was it you turned to for help?!

<i>Professor Hawkspur?</i>

Speak to me.

Something's breaking down the programming in the Doctor's mind.

What?

Something's reaching into his subconscious. It's causing him deep emotional trauma.

A slight underestimation of the Doctor's will power, Mr.Swift?

Whatever it is, it's stirred memories so deep that-

Are you saying that he's free of my control?

Must I deal with everything myself?

So much for you to quote 'Revolutionary mind control techniques'.

You're forgetting who programmed him…

My dear Lethbridge-Stewart! How wonderful to see you again!

Doctor?

Please accept my apologies for my earlier cavalier behaviour, Brigadier…

I knew you'd find me if I left the girl with you.

You know you're very therapeutic to have around. I've been somewhat schizophrenic of late.

That can cause real problems for a Gallifreyan.

One has so many personalities to choose from.

I have a suspicion what's wrong with her and it's not what one could call encouraging.

Da-Davros.

Va-Valeyard.

Je-Jek.

What's she talking about?

I'm not that sure. You see, it hasn't actually happened yet.

You've lost me on that one.

Whatever it is she's talking about, it could be from the future. Or the past.

Her mind's been invaded by someone else's memory, and the strain's beginning to kill her.

Who on Earth would do something like that?

Me.

Think about it, Brigadier. I fell 150 feet off a radar tower!

I've managed to avoid death's embrace on numerous occasions in the past. But I'm not that good.

You should be dead.

Tact never was your strong point, was it.

Something's gone to an awful lot of trouble to keep me alive, and I've got a nasty suspicion that it will be far from happy when it realises I've found out.

Can't you just get away from here in that TARDIS contraption of yours?

Would that I could Lethbridge-Stewart, would that I could. But as with most things, I seem to have lost it.

Pretty, isn't it?

What on Earth is it?

Up until now, I've been falsely accused of it being an architectural folly, celebrating the death of some wealthy eccentric.

Death?

These are catacombs, Brigadier.

Well if it's not a tomb, what is it?

Part of the puzzle we have to solve, to find out why I'm still here.

Find the Doctor. He can strain at the leash but we must not let him snap it.

If anything tries to stop you, exterminate it.

It's some sort of refractive storage chamber.

What do you mean?

This side of it was smashed open from the inside. Something wanted to get out.

And as a result, time's been manipulated. History altered.

But I don't understand how.

That's just the problem, Brigadier. Neither do I.

I'm not meant to be here. Neither are you.

We're trapped in an alternative reality. A dark dimension.

Chin up, Doctor! At least this thing you're talking about can't control you anymore.

It's not that simple I'm afraid. I've been taken out of time.

Entropy's already set in, my past is eroding piece by piece.

Each of my regenerations will suddenly cease to exist.

My tenth. My ninth. It will work it's way back until it reaches me.

Eventually I'll just fade away like a ghost.

Just like the Marie Celeste, we have a final journal entry.

Whatever burst out of that pyramid, it was presumably after December 12th, 1936.

And somebody remembered to remove the evidence.

Hold it right there!

And now, exclusively to BBC3 Newswatch, the morning after his victory in the General Election, it's face to face with...

Professor Oliver Hawkspur.

Prime Minster, thank you for joining us.

AJ, the pleasure's all mine.

Did you have to hit her so hard?

She had a gun.

I think our friend here, comes from the future.

How can you be so certain?

She's carrying an open-ended voltron-wave transmitter.

A what?

I suppose you could say it's like a key to a door, that just happens to lead to the time vortex.

What does this writing mean?

It's one of my signatures.

As you'd find with any great masterpiece, the artist always signs their work.

It still works!

Would you expect less from a master craftsman?

How are you feeling, my dear?

She should be fine, for the moment. Whatever we're dealing with, since it lost it's hold on me,

my mere presence seems to neutralise the effect on her.

Then again, it might just be my natural charisma.

That girl...

The one you attacked without mercy, yes?

Are you sure it's alright to just leave her on the sofa? I mean she has-

Got a gun?

It should be simply enough to get back to 1936.

I have to know what happened here.

Some sort of weapon?

It's tuned into my thought waves. They must have come looking for me.

You mean it's like some sort of homing beacon?

If you go into the vortex when this is activated, you'll end up at some point in my past, or even my future.

I'd never have thought my life would be open to such tourism.

Another memento for your collection, Brigadier.

Now you're quite clear..

Nothing to worry about, old chap.

I have to watch these dials and make sure they keep steady, correct?

If they move a fraction of an inch, I'm as good as dead.

But you didn't tell me what to do if that happens?

It's quite simple really.

<i>Start to panic.</i>

Blow winds and crack your cheeks.

Rage! Blow your cataracts and hurricanes!

Hawkspur!

Spout, till you have drenched our steeples!

You can't see me, can you?

Hello, who's this?

The time displacement stops you from seeing me, but the question is-

-will it stop bullets from hitting me?

<i>Halt!</i>

Remain where you are!

What do we do?

Surrender?

Certainly not!

Come on!

There is a place beyond the land and sea that has to be explored.

And that is the land of time itself.

I think it could have been HG Wells who said that. Then again-

It could have been me.

I'm impressed!

Where on Earth are we?

Well it's certainly not Cromer...

And it doesn't look like 1936. Oh dear!

What's wrong?

I think we've landed in the Doctor's future.

Stop! Or you will be eliminated!

What are they?

An excellent reason to run, come on!

Ah! The missing pages!

The great philosophers. Aristotle, Socrates. To be able to return to that that with knowledge of their ideas, before the thoughts that inspired them had even started to form…

I still maintain that time travel is no more than a dream.

But, what if one could create a bridge…. Something that existed outside time, enabling you to cross into the past, or just step into the future…

So that's what you were up to! The power source you'd need would be immense!

And nature can provide it. Raw static electricity.

So you're using lightning rods to bring it down through the cables.

How inventive you are!

And the reflective surface within stores it…. You know, you're dangerously close to discovering the right ingredients…

If one could exist at any point in history you choose, that would be true immortality.

<i>Heretic!</i>

Oh no, not again.

<i>I don't know how you got here, Brigadier.</i>

But I strongly advise you to move. This is only a stun gun. I think I annoyed them.

You crave immortality, is that it? A gift that only the Devil can offer.

Don't let your superstition get the-

Your words, not mine Professor Hawkspur! I heard you.

It just stores the raw essence of lightning. Energy like that can be used to open the gateway to another world. To other places. It could create a bridge to-

Hell!? Don't deny that's what you truly desire. You corrupt nature and dare to call it science!

What was that-

Quiet!

It's almost like a... Some form of-

Heartbeat.

Lucifer! You have unleashed the Devil himself!

Merrick! No!

So, Doctor. Now you know of my past, but, your ability to travel through time, in such a primitive way, will be of little use...

Unless you're planning to look for your future incarnations for help.

<i>Enter the vortex. Bring me the bodies of the next two regenerations of the Time Lord…. I will guide you to them… </i>

Orders received. We will enter the time vortex.

So that's why it absorbed his body.

He's a Cyber Commander. One of their nastier hybrids.

I tend to keep bumping into their race - purely unintentional of course.

This one's ship crashed in the middle of the soldier's encampment.

The other Cybermen are out looking for him.

Why doesn't he move?

Oh I promise you. If that forcefield was off, he'd be more than active.

Doctor.

Even if you so much as try to scratch the surface of that forcefield, you'll break them…

They're difficult to reason with. But, they certainly seem to appreciate the concept of futility…

You continue to deny your destiny, Doctor.

Destiny's a bit of an emotive word for a Cyberman to be using.

Your future will be as part of the Cyber race.

Your intelligence will be absorbed into my data banks.

The implementation procedure will commence after all humanoids have been eradicated.

Assuming your troops defeat them-

Out of curiosity, what happens to the bits of me?

Flesh and bone are of no value.

Answer me this, then. What if the Cybermen conquered every known, and unknown race in the universe?

It is inevitable.

I'm talking about every form of sentient life.

The universe would be ours.

Then what?

The question is not logical.

The only lifeform left are the Cybermen, so what are you going to do? I could hardly imagine you just sitting there, twiddling your cyber-thumbs!

Evaluation would be instigated.

You'd cull your own race?

Those without function would be terminated.

Do you realise what that means? The foot soldiers would be the first to go.

My purpose would have been achieved.

With nothing left for you to kill or conquer, you'd wipe yourselves out. Civil war, mass-insurrection, right to the point where only one Cyberman is left. Am I right?

Good grief.

You know, I've always had a feeling that underneath all the logic, the Cybermen are inherently stupid.

Where on Earth have I landed?

<i>Between the realms of life and death lies a land of distant dreams and forgotten memories.</i>

You're in limbo, my dear chap.

You <i>are</i> in a spot of bother, aren't you!

How did you get here?

It's all a matter of conscience.

If entropy's set in, then it's worse than I thought. It's like a disease, slowly rotting away at the core, peeling back the skin bit by bit. And with Time Lords, there's an awful lot of layers…

If the Doctor, er, chap before you, I mean. If he's been kept in that body, and he never changed into you…

I don't see how you can exist.

The universe is a complex mass of timelines, full of countless possibilities, Brigadier.

So if you're alright, that means that he'll survive, and change into you. There's no real danger…

I'm afraid that it doesn't quite work like that…

With such massive disruption to the time continuum, the resulting effects are bound to catch up with all of us eventually…

What can you do?

Personally, not that much. You know it's funny, I always thought that when the end came, I'd go out fighting. But, like this? The situation's beyond my reach. It's in my past.

But, if there was a way for me to get you both back there…

You might be able to help, more than me…

Friends of yours, I take it?

They've come through the vortex!

Attack! Exterminate! Exterminate!

I suggest you take your chance, and get out of here while you still can!

But what about you?

Intercept the Doctor!

Brigadier, look!

They must have come looking for him.

What are you doing?

If we can find the next Doctor-

We could warn him about the Daleks!

If he's still alive...

There's a place where we all go, where you'll go. You live, you breathe, you age. Never think for a moment that you simply fade away…

I'm there. We're all there. Just think of me as your own form of Jiminy Cricket!.

Don't you understand? The co-ordinates in the vortex have been scrambled. That's how I ended up here, and the only way that could have happened, is if the Brigadier and the girl have tried to follow me through time. What chance have they got now?

Why didn't they just leave me to rot?

Renegade?

Have you forgotten what you are?

Have you forgotten about Gallifrey? Think of the Dark Times. The turmoil in our mind…

Your decision was to leave. Do you remember the reason why?

Stop trying to moralise with yourself. You've no idea how ridiculous it sounds…

Think of that reason. Don't ever let it die. That would be too easy. Whatever kind of crusade it is we've been leading, you cannot let it end like this…

How can I fight what I don't understand? I've been torn part bit by bit. Don't <b>you</b> understand-

We're dying!

Daleks. Ice Warriors. Zarbi. Yeti. The Master When have we ever backed down before?

They never got this close to defeating me.

But, what if they had? Would you have thrown away all hope this easily? You can't give in…

Whatever our crusade has been-

don't let it end like this.

Dorothy? Dorothy?

We must have got separated in the vortex.

<i>Order! Order! The defence counsel will take the stand!</i>

Legends speak of a time when their race knew nothing, other than the unending turmoil of war. And as you know, that was centuries ago.

And yet you have the unbelievable audacity to accuse their species, a race renowned now for their peace, of genocide!

And, if anyone knows about corrupt trial systems, it's me…

Summon the defendants!

I must protest, the methods used by this court, are unorthodox to an extreme. Is this what you define as justice?

I'm sure that you comments are noted, Commander Azzlynx.

Much in the same way that I hope mine will be. Though their content will be more acidic.

Evidence,

if it can be called that,

claims that a squadron of intergalactic freighters,

under your command, supplied vital food rations to the colony on Jassix Five, which had been devastated by drought and famine. Is that the case?

A mission of peace. Our intentions were humane.

The Prosecution claims that the said foodstuff carried a lethal virus. A plague. Fatal only to the indigenous population of Jassix Five.

A conspiracy engineered to disrupt delicate peace negotiations within the Galactic Federation.

I beg to differ.

What is this! You lead us to believe you to be an ally? Yet you choose to betray us as well, Doctor?

My dear Commander, I assure you that nothing could be further from the truth…

I accuse the so called judges of this farce! Look to your own kind, for the true cause behind this!

Choose your words with care, Doctor. Your life is just as expendable as the Defendants.

Your honour, I beg your forgiveness.

As a cat has nine lives, I have the advantage of a few more. And I don't intend to move on from number six just yet!

Brigadier? Brigadier? Where are you?

Hey, you! Wait a minute!

Ace? Ace, is that really you?

Doctor. You spoke of the involvement of some other party. Speak more on this matter, I implore you.

Would I be alone in finding it an unnerving coincidence in the fact that the compound, from which the plague is generated, can only be found in a spore that's natural to only the swamps of this planet?

Is this so?

I'm afraid it is, and is it not also the case, that the mining corporation of your planet, notorious for their cavalier tactics, have been negotiating to buy out the mineral deposits on Jassix Five for some time now?

Your Honour, I call my first witness. The head of the said Mining Corp, or, should I say the true cause behind so many wasted lives...

Doctor? Doctor, is that you?

Your Honour, I beg your most learned indulgence. May we adjourn for a few minutes please…

Time to bring some pawns into play.

You were always good at making fires.

Nitro-9. Matches. Whatever you could find.

You're not making a lot of sense, Professor.

Ah yes but. I am.

Bit by bit your memory is coming back.

Why else would you call me Professor?

Sorry?

Don't worry.

What is this place?

Anywhere. And nowhere. It's where Time Lords come to die. Well, this one at least.

In a very short time I'll just fade away.

Not even a memory.

Time Lords? Sounds as though you live forever…

Well, if this is what immortality is, I wouldn't recommend it…

Death catches up with all of us eventually.

Gallifreyans have an escape clause but-

but nothing lasts forever.

I owe you a bit of an explanation, don't I?

You were one of my travelling companions.

Ace by name.

Ace by nature.

By far the bravest rebel without a cause I've ever known.

And you'd have left me.

It doesn't matter how, why or when.

They always do.

You've just been a bit unlucky compared to the others.

Very unlucky.

I suppose you could say I finally met my match.

I thought I was infallible.

Nothing could touch me.

I was proved wrong.

You paint a vivid picture Brigadier. Grim to say the least. It sounds so final…

Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings.

No last meal. No final requests. Not even time to compose a particularly witty epitaph…

Is there no way you could just, well, escape?

Escape? I pride myself in being able to outwit most things. But, even someone as talented as me finds it impossible to avoid the inevitable. Daleks, you say?

Could be worse, I suppose.

Worse? One of them's a tank!

Yes, quite.

Leaves nothing but a pile of ash when it hits something!

Yes! Thank you Brigadier!

I'd forgotten what a knack you have for destroying optimism…

It's been blown up, torn apart, stolen, thrown down cliffs, flooded. But I've never actually lost the TARDIS before. Whenever anything's happened to it in the past, there's always been a bit of it left!

If my past self can find what's left of it, he can start to fight back!

Err, Doctor?

Can you allow me a single moment of despair, to contemplate my demise?

What was it you used to say? When I say run-

Run!

I take it she's a friend of yours, Brigadier.

You! Come with me!

Now look here!

You dropped them when you leapt into the vortex. Now move!

Please, take him. He's all yours…

Take it from me Lethbridge-Stewart, you're safer in my past…

<i>Far safer!</i>

You were the only chance I had. I projected part of my mind into yours as I died. The Time Lords must have intervened. They always do. Sent you back to the point in your life you'd have reached, just as thought you'd never met me…

I knew that wherever I was, your mind would act like a beacon, calling me to you, even if I didn't know it. My instinct would be to save you; guard the knowledge of the creature I put in your head…

If it knew that the memory of it's existence survived. That there was a chance I could use it against it, it would have hunted you down. Killed you.

The Eco-Troops. I knew they'd figure a way to open the vortex, and trap it. But it found a way back. Back into reality. I sensed it would, but that seems to be a habit of mine.

A habit?

Knowing what's happened. Before it happens.

Call it Time Lord intuition.

It's altered the history of the Earth. But, if it hadn't, you'd never have found me, I suppose.

You'd have been driven mad, by the voices in your head.

Excellent gentlemen, truly excellent work!

Instigate cryogenic suspension. We don't want any escape attempts, like their predecessor now, do we?

Inside!

Is this really necessary?

You're my only link to finding the Doctor.

How many times do you want to hear it? He's in the vortex….

That's not the man I knew.

Look, he's a Time Lord! It's quite possi-

Quiet!

Get undercover! Quick!

I wouldn't if I were you...

But they're my-

Look!

Summerfield? Please. Please help us.

It's us Summerfield.

We managed to escape.

But, they hurt us. Please, Summerfield. Help us.

Those are my troops!

Didn't you notice their eyes?

We've got to get out of here.

Is that your voice I hear? Old. Friend.

There's got to be something I can do.

Tell him. The creature. It's using our mind. All the knowledge it craved. Everything it needed.

<i>It found it in us!</i>

There's not much time.

The voices. That noise. They're gone.

He knows everything about the creature now.

Go, before it's too late.

For all of us.

You should have been spared that Dorothy. I'm so very sorry.

I don't think she was ever meant to exist.

My name's always been Ace.

How do you do? I'm the Doctor!

I never thought social etiquette could be this dangerous!

Er, Doctor?

Get down!

I am the epitome of style. People try to emulate me throughout the world. My lectures, my speeches, my every thought. All catalogued, filed, stored for posterity. I have ascended the political ranks. Prime Minister of England.

Now, Governor of Central Europe. I offer medicine, cures for the diseases they haven't even discovered yet. I give them hope, and yet I grow so bored with it all…

Come out of the shadows, Snyder. I can hear your hormones squeaking.

Mr. Hawkspur. The royal party are about to arrive at the main hall. The world delegates party have been seated. The banquet can begin.

Very well, they shall be the first to know of the fate I have decided…

Fate, Mr Hawkspur? Of what?

Mankind, Snyder. Mankind.

We were Eco-Troops. Trained to move into sectors, as ozone depletion set in. Our job was to pick up the remains. Human, or otherwise.

When the last soldier was killed, we were brought in as nothing more than substitutes…

<i>Something to show the surviving civilians that they were safe. I knew we were nothing more than cannon fodder. </i>

<i>It was a game to that Creature. Cat and Mouse.</i>

<i>It was near the end. There were only a few of us left. </i>

Then there seemed to be hope. He just appeared. Nobody asked how he got there. Then when he started to save lives, he became the answer to everyone's prayers….

You mean the Doctor?

It's not the same man. But now, I can tell it's him.

He said that you've never lost the TARDIS completely. Something about how, even when it's been blown up, there was always a bit of it left…

Haven't you noticed that the inside of the church, is bigger than the inside…

Well, I…. You see, I ….

Modesty, Brigadier! We're all prone to the odd moment of unbelievable stupidity. Nothing to be ashamed of. It's the TARDIS library…

But, doesn't that help us in any way?

Only if you want to borrow a book! Hawkspur must have tried to dimensionally displace it. But, even he wasn't powerful enough to do that to a TARDIS. There's nothing in the library that could help…

Unless...

Unless, what?

You know, an Englishman without his castle, is like a Time Lord without his TARDIS. I think there might still be a few battlements left…

<i>Doctor!</i>

He's torn me through time, practically destroyed my TARDIS, and pulled my mind apart.

I think it's about time I was formally introduced to Professor Hawkspur, don't you?

Alistair. I've always fought my own battles, and I admit that if it wasn't for you, I wouldn't be here now. I don't want to lead you to your death.

I'll understand if you turn back now. I have to go on.

I have to warn you, this could be the last battle. For both of us.

Your Majesty, My Lord, Ladies and Gentlemen. Pray silence for the next speaker, your host for the evening, Prime Minister Hawkspur. OBE.

I thought hard about how to address you all as equals…. But, seeing as though you're not, I won't bother.

No, no, no, no, no! This is not a joke! You face your destruction, and you applaud it?

You are not worthy of the air you breathe! You torture and destroy indigenous species, you wipe out all the vegetation.

And when I accelerate the process, not only do you praise me, you reward me for my efforts. What kind of lifeform can function like this, and still dare to call itself intelligent?

Look amongst yourselves to see the answer. You know, I yearned to be like a human. I strived to achieve the likeness, the mannerisms. Now I find it repellent…

I destroyed this planet once. My mistake was to question whether the genocide was necessary. Now I know the answer. I suggest you pray to whatever Gods you believe in. You're about to find out whether they exist…

Nobody gets out of here alive.

Mr Hawkspur? Mr Hawkspur, wait!

Be sure to make no exceptions.

Basic TARDIS dynamics.

Apart from the four console rooms...

The Engine Room. The Power Room.

and the library all have...

Secondary control consoles!

<i>Doctor?</i>

Hello, Brigadier. The transmitter's fixed. Only problem is that the directional tuner's done for. I've linked it up, it can be operated from the console, I-

You said it could be our last battle. I was determined to go out with style….

My dear chap! I wouldn't have it any other way!

Alex? Alex, it's me! Quick, help me get out of this!

Alex? Alex!

<i>Such theatricality from one so young… </i>

I admire your spirit.

Sorry to use such a cliché but, resistance is useless.

Do you appreciate the power of mind control?

No? I didn't myself, until my science division managed to clone me.

The results were, well, interesting. Flesh, but no bone. Biomorphic. We are all shape-changers. And when I found the gallery of alien terrors that the Doctor has witnessed in his mind, I began to experiment.

Daleks, Cybermen, Ice Warriors. I think it's time to put my other selves to use…

I tire of your species. When I have cleansed the Earth, I'll create the new order in life and structure…

You're mad!

Quite possibly.

We're just receiving pictures of the invasion of London. I repeat the invasion of London that is taking place as we speak.

<i>Casualties are high. Many of the wounded are being moved from London central, as that area's now been declared a danger zone… </i>

It's believed that Marshal Law will be put into operation within the hour…

Prime Minister Hawkspur is, at present, unavailable for comment…

And, we're just receiving word that BBC3 News Reporter, Tony Mc-

Tony McCabe has been killed at Oxford Circus, covering the invasion…

What's happening? Hello? Hello? Control?

We've not got much time. You're quite certain you know what to do, Brigadier?

Have I ever let you down yet, Doctor?

This isn't the time to start.

Doctor!

You were expecting someone else?

Doctor, I <b>was</b> expecting you. As any puppeteer knows, when you pull the strings, the marionette will dance.

You're hardly what I expected a being composed entirely of chronal energy to look like you know…

Nor you, a Time Lord.

Touche!

I'm curious about one thing.

Please! Ask whatever you will.

How did you find me at the Pharos Centre?

I knew of your many deaths on Earth, Doctor…

I killed you once. Remember that?

Not the kind of thing one could easily forget...

The death of your first body was in the Artic wastes, not the most accessible way to find you, and as for the third at UNIT headquarters.

Even I admit that security would have been difficult to overcome. The fourth was the easiest, so I bought the place and waited for you…

There you were, dangling like a broken puppet. How could I let such a mind as yours, suffer such an ignoble death, when I had so many uses for it.

I'll ask you once, Hawkspur. Are you intent on destroying every living species on this planet?

But, of course!

You offer me no choice. As it was the Earth was slowly destroying itself. It deserves far better than you to induce it's final death throes.

This planet is under my control, it's my right to do with it as I will!

If you see it as your right, then I challenge it.

What's this, Doctor? Chivalry?

If you're truly the gentleman you claim to be, Hawkspur, accept the challenge. Or are you simply a coward?

If it's a noble demise you desire, Doctor, then so be it!

The pylons are round the statue, Doctor.

One at each corner?

As soon as Hawkspur gets near it, hit this button.

What does that do?

It boosts the signal to the TARDIS console, the vortex opens up... And bang! No more Hawkspur!

So it's an open-ended transmitter?

Ready, Doctor?

What do we do now?

Pray that the lessons with Cyrano pay off...

But, surely there must be something we can-

Perhaps this is the last battle after all. I have to finish what I've started…

No!

Don't worry my dear. They'll find these forms far more comfortable…

En guard!

Bravo, Doctor! Bravo! But, not good enough!

How come he's set us free?

He hasn't. As soon as he's finished with the Doctor, I think we're next…

Silence!

He can't concentrate on controlling them, and keep up with the fight.

Come on!

Alex!

Ace, come back!

Halt! Stop, or you will be exterminated!

Dorothy?

Dorothy?

Keep down!

Quick, get in! Damn!

The kick-back on that's opened the bullet wound…

Move over!

You can't drive this!

Try and stop me!

Where did you get that launcher?

Another leftover from UNIT. Now put your foot down, we have to get back to the church as fast as we can!

What's the matter? Can't face the prospect of defeat, Hawkspur?

Perhaps it is you, who would be asking yourself that question, Doctor?

The pylons are tuned into the TARDIS console. If we can just find the right button to activate it, the Doctor might have a chance…

What's wrong?

Cybermen!

Of course! The lightning rods! They gave you the energy to escape from the time vortex. They can also take it away!

You can never defeat me, Doctor. You don't know what I am!

A creature of chaos and death, that's enough for me to know I have to destroy you, Hawkspur.

That was too easy.

No, I've always been too squeamish.

Doctor!

It would be reckless to say I wasn't expecting you…

We could blow them away with the missile launcher.

There's one major flaw in your plan…

We only had two rockets?

I think I just found the distraction we need

Come on!

Dorothy? I...I...

You're free of it now, Alex. Don't worry. It lost control of you when Hawkspur's body died.

Hawkspur? I..

Alex? No! Not like this! Please, no…

I lo- love--

I love you, Alex.

No! I won't let it kill both of you!

Ace! No!

It's time this ended!

<i>Stop!</i>

Get to the console, Brigadier, go!

Die, Doctor! Die!

The quality of the air that we all breathe, automatically affects the quality of our lives.

Doctor!

Did I die a noble death this time?

Don't let it end like this, Doctor.

<i>Whatever our crusade has been, don't let it end like this… </i>

The end? No. It's a new beginning.

Ace!

Professor!

Professor? Why won't you answer any of my questions?

'Rest, brave knight. Though the battle is not won, your life is never ending. For you saw, and touched the sun…'

How come he's dead?

What are you doing here?

You were-

Was I?

But, you-

Did I?

But, the Brigadier?

Oh, he's probably in Geneva, playing at being an official ambassador. You know what he's like….

What about Summerfield?

Back on her right timeline, back where she belongs. As are we all. Who knows, we might even meet her again someday. And Alex. What do you remember about Alex?

Alex? Alex who?

If time is altered, your life momentarily takes a different direction. But, something will always snap it back into the right place eventually. It can be as cruel, as it can be kind. Trust me it was never meant to be.

And, if this planet is to be destroyed, mankind will manage it all on it's own, without any help from the Creature. Whatever it may have been…

Come on, Ace. Cheer up. It'll be a memory soon enough. Then even that will fade away.

There's a universe out there to explore. Let's see what makes it tick!.

<i>There are worlds out there where the sky is burning.</i>

<i>Where the sea is asleep, and the rivers dream.</i>

<i>People made of smoke and cities made of song.</i>

<i>Somewhere there's danger.</i>

<i>Somewhere there's injustice.</i>

<i>And somewhere else, the tea's getting cold.</i>

Come on, Doctor, we've got work to do.

Well, here we are, as you requested. The SS Gracepoint.

The largest luxury cruise liner in the galaxy.

Catering for thousands of holiday makers from all four corners of the cosmos.

Or, loads of aliens, as you so delicately put it.

So, where we going?

I want to meet the captain.

I've heard a lot about this chap. Never met him though.

Absolutely genius. Built this cruise liner business up from scratch himself, you know!

And apparently he's this close to embarking on his first time travel cruise!

Okay.

Come on!

Flood Escape 2 - Dark Sci-Facility Completed + Guide - Duration: 1:13.

To beat Dark Sci-Facility, you have to do very simple WallJumps

Make sure you jump from very edge, or else you will fall. (This happened to me everytime)

Again, jump from very edge. Don't jump too early.

This jump gave me nightmares..

Once again, jump from very edge, or you will not make it

Try to use first person to some thin poles to land on them perfectly.

Jump to press this button.

Be aware of the pulsing lights, they can distract you everytime when you jump.

Once again, jump from very edge, or you will fall to your death.

Wait for the box to spawn to get the button.

Jump from very edge (REPEAT: Jump from very edge)

And man this truss gave me nightmares.

And there you go! That's how you can beat Dark Sci-Facility, but remember, jump from very edge to make the most jumps.

Fin!
