Auto news on Youtube Dec 12 2018

Let's be honest, the appointment of a new designer at a luxury couture house doesn't usually make headline news

Eye brows are raised, biographies are written, but it's really only fashion insiders that get excited

For most of us the names behind the world's largest designer brands remain unknown

But the arrival of Claire Waight Keller at Givenchy in 2017 cemented her status as one of fashion's most influential designers

Fast forward 19 months and Keller's a household name, her fame of course arisen from the fact she designed Meghan Markle's wedding dress

When 29.2 million tuned in to watch Harry and Meghan tie the knot on May 19th Claire became famous overnight

Not many creative directors can say the same.  I'm not suggesting for one moment that Claire doesn't deserve it

Hugely talented, the mum of three has worked her socks off to get where she is.  Graduating with a masters in Fashion Knitwear from the Royal College of Art she cut her teeth at Calvin Klein before working at Ralph Lauren, Gucci, Pringle of Scotland and most famously Chloe in 2011

Here she was responsible for reinvigorating the French fashion house and making it one of the most lucrative and commercially successful global luxury labels

Claire has a gift for understanding what women want and it was her feminine, modern aesthetic that inspired Meghan to commission her wedding gown from Keller

It's been made clear from their very first meeting that the women shared the same creative vision

And the minimalist gown she designed for Meghan's wedding, with an open bateau neckline, slim three-quarter sleeves and a flowing train cushioned by an underskirt in triple silk organza, was deemed a triumph and is now a piece of fashion and British royal history

Last night, when the Duchess of Sussex appeared on stage to present Claire with her award, the fact the women embraced so openly suggests they have developed a close friendship

The Duchess has continued to wear Keller's designs since her wedding day, opting to wear Givenchy for her first official engagement

When Givenchy appointed Keller as creative director last year she was the first woman to hold the position - another major factor that attracted Meghan to work with her

At the time of Keller's appointment, Givenchy was considered a moderately sized couture house but was not in league with heavyweights like Gucci or Louis Vuitton

The heart of the business was ready-to-wear, but Keller made the bold move to reestablish their couture atelier - a decision that has proven to be instrumental in the brand's revival

While Givenchy's profits lie on the LVMH spreadsheet, there's no doubt the fashion house has had a huge boost thanks to Meghan Markle's endorsement

For Claire the relationship has been life changing. Her name is as famous as the acclaimed couture house she works for

When the Duchess of Cambridge commissioned Sarah Burton to design her wedding gown in 2011 the house of Alexander McQueen reported a 20% boost in sales

The impact it had on Sarah's profile has been equally notable.  Thanks to Meghan's popularity she has proven her ability to boost labels through her patronage

And Claire's award last night proves that Meghan has helped make Claire one of the fashion industry's biggest players

Brooklyn Beckham Steps Out with Model Hana Cross After Hitting Fashion Awards with Parents - News to - Duration: 2:51.

Brooklyn Beckham and model Hana Cross were walking hand-in-hand on Monday, as they left the after party for the star-studded British Fashion Awards

The pair appeared to be inseparable as they were spotted by photographers departing a private residence in North London, Cross, 21, wearing Beckham's black tuxedo blazer over a cropped white tank and patchwork blue pinstripe jogger pants (which she paired with black boots, a black belt, and a long silver chain down her side)

Brooklyn — who has previously been linked to actress Chloë Grace Moretz, YouTube star Lexy Panterra, and Playboy model Lexi Wood  — was still dressed in the remnants of his awards show look

The 19-year-old photographer's white shirt was untucked, it's sleeves rolled up to exposed his arm tattoos

He also wore a pair of circular glasses.  Prior to stepping out with Cross, Brooklyn was on the red carpet at the Royal Albert Hall with mom Victoria Beckham and dad David Beckham

"So much fun last night with my boys!" Victoria, 44, wrote on her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, captioning a photo of her holding hands with David, 43, while looking at Brooklyn

"Kisses X."  "My handsome son," added David, in his own Instagram Story.  Victoria — who wore a black wrap gown from the summer collection of her namesake line — was nominated at the British Fashion Awards for womenswear designer of the year, though lost the trophy to Clare Waight Keller of Givenchy

Still, the event was a milestone for her and David, who served on the British Fashion Council this year as ambassadorial president of the awards

"It's been an amazing first year… Good luck to all the nominees!" he wrote on Instagram before praising his wife

"I'm also really proud to be here with [Victoria] tonight – her nomination is recognition of the incredible business she has built over the last 10 years

"  The Beckhams — including Brookyln's siblings Romeo, 16, Cruz, 13, and Harper, 7 — were all recently together in September for the 10th anniversary fashion show of Victoria's line during London Fashion Week

"Amazing show mum love you so much ❤️," Romeo wrote on an Instagram, captioning

a photo of his siblings and their dad, sitting front row.

Parth Modi's Story 🇮🇳Fashion & Textile Technologies student #StudyinHolland - Duration: 1:50.

- Hello.

My name is Parth Modi.

I come from India.

My study is Fashion & Textile Technologies,

I just started in 2016

and hope to finish it in 2020.

The most memorable experience at Saxion was,

giving a workshop about the different machineries

of the textile in the FabLab.

FabLab is a lab where we have multiple types of machineries

like, we have 3D printers.

We have laser engraving.

We have lamination machine embroidery, knitting, weaving

and many more.

My workshop was also regarding it.

And people were quite happy with it.

And that was the most memorable day of my life.

The most valuable thing I learned at Saxion was,

combining research and business together.

Because you can do research,

you can make really cool stuff

but if you can't sell it,

it's of no use.

So, they also taught me about,

business like marketing

and at the same time doing the research.

And I put it, so it'll also combine in such a way that,

you do the research,

and then you need to build up a website as well,

and then you need to also sell it.

I think it was worth the cost and effort

because at Saxion,

it's an university of applied sciences,

so you can do experiments and practicals and everything.

You actually do your experiments at Saxion.

The cost that I paid was to

not have curries from my mother

and the delicious food from my mom.

I think the curriculum has really prepared me

for my future job

because at Saxion they really force you to do the teamwork,

the most important thing,

when we go in the industry. Teamwork is everything.

10 Unusual Models That Have Changed the Game of Fashion Industry - Duration: 7:43.

Top 10 Unusual Faces That Have Changed the Game of Fashion Industry

Hello people!

If we had to talk about faces of brands a decade ago, we would have been mentioning

some models with flawless skin and perfectly toned body.

According to psychology, a person is more attractive if he or she has a symmetrical

face but that theory is somewhat a lame statement these days.

Now, the times have changed and so has the outlook towards standards of beauty.

It is no longer about how perfect you look; it is more about how that face fits perfectly

for the brand.

Get ready to see some imperfect beautiful models who are currently ruling the ramps

and magazine covers gracefully!

Number 1.

Sara Geurts Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome is not a much-known

disorder but Sara Geurts, the model who is shaking the industry suffers from this rare

disorder which makes her look older than she actually is.

This 26-year-old woman has wrinkles all over her body, which made her conscious about her

looks as a teenager and she used to cover herself completely so that nobody questioned

her about her condition.

However, as she grew she gained confidence and now she is spreading her magic in the

fashion industry like no other model!

Her Instagram posts show how she has tackled her insecurities.

Way to go girl!

Number 2.

Nyadak Thot This Australian model, stood third in 8th

season Australian next top model.

She is known for being the face of Fenty Beauty and playing a lead role in Alice the Wonderland

inspired Pirelli Calendar.

A person with a dark complexion doesn't have an easy entry in the fashion industry

for obvious reasons and that is what happened with her in Australia so she flew to the US

to get her break and with her determination and hard work she achieved what she aimed

for.

That's the inspiring story every girl needs to know who has ever thought of giving up!

Number 3.

Alba Parejo Born in Barcelona, Spain, Alba Parejo wasn't

like other children around her, she had more than 500 moles on her body due to a rare form

of congenital melanocytic nevus.

She is just over 16 years old and has had 30 surgeries to remove the cancerous moles.

One day, she participated in a modeling contest that was being conducted in the mall as she

believed in herself and her story won hearts and there she had it!

Her first modeling assignment!

Today as a teenager, she is working with other photographers to improve her portfolio and

also motivating other girls to go out there and achieve what they wish to!

Number 4.

Winni Harlow The 23-year-old model, suffering from a condition

called vitiligo is famous for appearing in 21st cycle of America's Next Top Model.

She has been bullied to the extent that she was forced to drop out and opt for homeschooling.

She has been so depressed that she even contemplated suicide.

But her life changed for better when she started shooting with the renowned photographers and

her beauty was appreciated by all.

What gave her more confidence was becoming the face of a Spanish brand Desigual.

Beauty does exist in various forms, doesn't it?

Number 5.

Lakshmi Saa Tragic bullets don't just make stories,

they produce superheroes.

The story of Lakshmi say is one of those.

Victim and survivor of an acid attack, she struggled through her rough phase and today

has become the face of Viva N Diva Couture.

Having a face full of burns didn't stop her from ruling the world the way she is doing

it now.

The incident took place a really long time ago and from last 10 years, she has been putting

a lot of effort in getting justice for other acid attack victims.

We bow down to her!

Number 6.

Halima Aden How often does it happen that a woman walks

on the ramp wearing hijab?

Well, thankfully, the shift in the mindset has made this possible in the fashion industry

as more cultures are being accepted on an international level.

Halima Aden is an American fashion model who was noted for being the first woman to wear

a hijab in the Miss Minnesota USA pageant.

She was then signed with IMG models after the recognition.

She debuted her career with Kanye West's Yeezy Season 5 Collection and has also walked

for high profile clients such as Max Mara and Alberta Ferretti.

We need such confidence in women all around the globe.

Kudos to them!

Number 7.

Daphne Selfe In a career where teenagers are trying their

luck, as the age of modeling is decreasing day by day, this woman has set an example

by showing that age, beauty, and grace can go together on a parallel road.

Her wrinkles have made her look more gracious on-ramp and in pictures.

Today, she is the face of Dolce & Gabbana, Tata-Naka and Michiko Koshino and many other

brands.

had discovered Kate Moss, is a big deal for any model that is targeting international

ramp.

She is undeniably beautiful and has all the desired measurements of the body but the fact

that she suffers from strabismus was something that couldn't be ignored as many girls who

are next to flawless are also not given the chance.

Her pictures say a lot why she has been given this opportunity because she has owned the

pictures she has posed for!

Number 9.

Mikel Ruffinelli SIZE!

This has always been a controversial word.

How many times have you seen a plus-size model posing for brands?

Not many times, we are sure!

But now is the time when women with curves are being celebrated.

Mikel Raffaelli, a woman from Los Angeles, with a hip size of more than 2.5 meters is

the face for a website.

She had a normal body as a teenager, becoming a mother to 4 children made her hips balooned.

Now she is a proud lady flaunting her body and work on social media.

It's not that her life is easy with such type of body but she has been really optimistic

about her shape and doesn't even bother to reduce it now!

That is some confidence to the next level!

Number 10.

Souffrant Ralph A person who is as poor as you can imagine,

with a feature that is rare, having black skin with red hair all over the body and covered

with freckles.

That is something to hate about yourself and that is how Ralph was.

He hated himself for having such a body but his life changed when Aaron Tyler discovered

him and mentored him when he was just 15 years old.

He now loves the way he looks, a decision that has taken him out of the poverty.

Such gems need to be showcased on a high level so that imperfections are not hated but appreciated.

25 Random Fashion Facts (How Many Do YOU Know?) RMRS Style Videos For Men - Duration: 8:59.

25 Random Fashion Facts [0:00:00]

All right, gentlemen.

In today's video, we're having fun, twenty five random fashion facts that most men do

not know.

[Music] So, in today's video we're going to play

a game.

As I go through the twenty five facts, I want to hear from you down in the comments which

ones you disagree with, I don't agree with all of these.

We went out and we did the research, but some of these I think can be disputed.

If you can guess the right ones down in the comments, I've got some cool gifts I'm

going to be giving away.

What are those?

Find out, guys.

I'm going to reveal that in today's video.

Fashion fact number one.

Buttons were invented thirty five hundred years before buttonholes.

So, what did they do without buttonholes and they had buttons?

Guys, they use loops to fasten items.

The next random fashion fact on men's clothing what we'll find buttons are on the right

side.

On women's clothing, buttons are going to be on the left side.

Now, some people think this is because men needed to be able to reach over and pull out

a weapon.

It's actually because women were getting dressed by servants, hence they have the buttons

on the opposite side.

Now, this next fashion fact explains why on jackets why on vests we don't button the

bottom buttons.

It goes back to Kind Edward VII, he was so large that he could not button the bottom

button on his vest or his jackets.

So, this was picked up by others as, okay, I see what the king here is doing, let's

go ahead and imitate this.

It became a fashion trend.

Now, that fashion trend has continued to live on and we see in modern jackets and modern

vests that they are designed actually not to button that bottom button.

And that leads me to the next fashion fact.

Buttons that are designed never to be buttoned are called idle buttons.

And why do we have buttons on our sleeves?

Well, apparently Frederick the Great of Russia thought it would be a good idea to put buttons

here to prevent the soldiers from wiping their noses on their uniform.

Now, another interesting fact is why do they call this surgeon cuffs whenever you've

got buttons that can unbutton?

And it simply is that surgeons on the battle field would be able to roll their cuffs and

do surgery and not get their jackets dirty.

Yes, surgeons on the battle field used to wear jackets.

Now, if you're a student of history, you may have read that the puritan founding fathers

thought buttons were sinful.

Go back a couple of hundred years; buttons were a sign of wealth.

They were oftentimes made from precious stones from jewelry, but the puritans viewed this

as just simply being over the top and it wasn't in what they consider a plain type of dress.

All right, gentlemen.

So, this next fashion fact is based off research and that is if you wear a watch you're less

likely to be late because you're more conscientious of time, you're basically more aware of

what's going on around you.

And, guys if you're looking to buy a watch, I want you to check out Vincero, the paid

sponsor of today's video.

I am linking to them down in the description of this video with the best discount code

you're going to find out there.

Gentlemen, I've been working with Vincero now for over two years because I love what

they're doing, they're bringing great-looking watches.

When you wear this you're going to get compliment and they bring it to you at an affordable

price.

Vincero makes bold designs for guys looking to set themselves apart.

I want you to go over to their website and look at the different collections.

Look at their Chrono Collection, look at the Kairos Collection.

Check out that Bellwether Collection, one of my favorites.

I absolutely love these watches.

Look at the Marble Collection.

And they even got an automatic collection of watches.

And you guys know I love the interchangeable wardrobe and that's what I love about Vincero

is you can change out the straps.

So, this metal strap if you wanted to wear this with this lighter-colored dial or if

I want to go for a different type of leather, I could own just a few watches and all of

a sudden I can change things up however I want.

Two-year warranty, thirty-day return policy, free worldwide shipping.

Guys, I'm linking to Vincero down in the description of this video with the best discount

code you're going to find out there.

Use it or lose it.

Oh.

And I've got some extra watches here in the office I would love to give away.

So, how to win these, guys?

I need you to go click on the link down in the description.

Go to their website, get the details on the watch, let me know down in the comments along

with the fashion fact number that you disagree with and why.

Next up, let's talk about the ticket pocket.

So, this is on the right side of the jacket of a sports jacket of a blazer.

Ticket pocket is usually going to be smaller.

Their design why they were made to hold a ticket.

Now, in most suit jackets sports jacket you're going to see what are known as jetted pockets

and these actually go into the material.

But, occasionally you will see what's known as a patch pocket.

A patch pocket is a pocket that is sewn right on top of the material, hence called the patch.

Now, the vast majority of pockets on a jacket going horizontally are going to be straight.

Occasionally though, going towards the outside, you will see them start to slant down.

These are called hacking pockets.

The reason for a hacking pocket?

So, if you're riding a horse it was easier to put your hands in the pocket and pull something

out.

Occasionally on a casual shirt, you're going to see what's called an epaulette.

And an epaulette is a fold over of material that used to actually be for holding a rank

insignia.

So, it just goes to show how closely tied menswear is to basically military uniforms.

And why would you ever want a shirt with an epaulette?

Because it's going to build up your shoulders.

The classic business suit has remained virtually unchanged for almost a hundred years.

Now, we've seen changes in proportions, maybe colors go in and out, but the overall

design of the suit has not really changed.

[0:05:00] Sports jackets are called sports jackets because

they were worn by men watching sport and participating in sport.

So, you're watching maybe horseracing or you are participating in hunting.

Spectator shoes are called spectator shoes because they were worn by spectators.

About a hundred years ago whenever they went to events such as horseracing they wanted

to stand out and they wanted it to be seen that these were not their formal shoes.

They still looked good, but they were something different about them, hence they were called

spectator shoes.

The technical term for the end of a shoelace is called an aglet.

Most dress shoes are going to have an odd number of lace holes.

In this case, one, two, three, four, five.

So, the next random fashion fact, most lace holes are incorrectly labeled as eyelets or

grommets.

Now, eyelets or grommets use metal, but lace holes as they should be correctly called actually

do not and they're just simple holes in the leather.

Next up, let's talk about vibram soles.

Vibram soles are rubber soles really durable, really tough that have extreme grip.

They were developed by a mountaineer, his name is Vitale Bramani and he was climbing

the Alps and six of his climbing crew froze to death.

And after this incident, he went out and developed a sole that would have probably saved their

lives if they had had it.

Next up, let's talk about the design and popularity of the modern cowboy boot.

So, most of these is owed to Hollywood, not to history.

Now, if you go back historically, yes, there is the western boot and it did not have laces,

it did have a heel, it did have a higher upper, but not this high.

This is all part of Hollywood putting in the flashy colors the design.

This is something that could be sold and could be mass marketed.

Now, when you go back and look historically, yes, it was something that if you fell out

of the saddle no laces so that it would slip right off and the heel to help you get a grip

right in there.

Now, all that being said, I love western boots.

So, talking about boots, let's talk about Wellington boots.

These were invented in 1817 by the Duke of Wellington.

Basically, he wanted a boot that could go from being out riding a horse going out and

doing the work to actually being able to wear at night, this was a formal time, so it's

the boot that could make transition something that I think a lot of you guys would appreciate.

Most people have one foot that's slightly larger than the other.

When you're trying to make a decision of which size to go with, go with the larger

size foot.

So, this is really strange for us Americans, but what we call suspenders, the British they

call braces.

And what the British call suspenders, we call women's garters.

Kind of strange, huh?

Now, did you know that Benjamin Franklin besides being on a hundred dollar bills also set fashion

trends.

So, apparently in 1736 he made the volunteer fire department the first one in the United

States part of their uniform was to wear suspenders, hence they became popular.

And suspenders apparently were a big deal.

Men were to receive them as gifts from women and they would go through and they would embroider

them make them really nice.

Napoleon had some with bumblebees, Franklin Delano Roosevelt apparently had eagles and

flags on them.

Pretty patriotic there.

And besides being called braces, apparently suspenders were also called galluses which

comes from the word gallows which means to hang which sounds really morbid and I'm

glad they don't call them that anymore.

So, what happened to suspenders how come we don't wear them as much anymore?

Well, it started in 1893 with the fashion trend called the belt.

And basically, it was a really hot summer people were like it's too hot to even wear

suspenders, so they started wearing these new hip things called belts, hence we wear

belts even today.

So, in today's day and age, the color blue is considered very strong and masculine, the

color pink is considered feminine.

Go back a hundred and fifty years, this was actually flipped.

Blue was a feminine color and pink was a masculine color because of its association with red

which was considered a very strong color for men.

So, why is there a stereotype that men can't match colors like women?

Actually, it's got a bit of a scientific base and that is almost ten percent of men

are color blind compared to less than one percent of women.

All right, gentlemen.

So, which of the fashion facts do you disagree with?

Let me know down in the comments.

And make sure you click on that link for Vincero down in the description, go check out the

watches.

Let me know exactly which one you like to receive along with the fashion fact you disagree

with and why and we're going to go through it and I'm going to choose out some winners

here on the next week.

All right, gentlemen.

That's it.

Take care.

I will see you in the next video and that's a fact, not a random one.

Hopefully, it's not random.

You should be subscribed to Real Men Real Style and make sure you click on that button.

Click on that icon, click on that like button if you like and subscribe if you're new

I should have probably done that earlier, but that's it, guys.

Jeremy, thank you so much for being here.

Thank you. And, also, thank you for this jacket.

-You look good in the Moschino drip, drip. -I love this.

This is the first article of clothing I've put on

-and been like, "Oh, I was meant to wear this." You know? -Nice.

-I really like it. And Trevor can't talk... -Hello, Jeremy.

It's great to see you again.

It is great to see you again as well.

Yeah, he can't speak, but I know he would want to ask:

what would you recommend for someone with, like,

-a thicker booty? You know? -(laughs)

Someone, someone, someone,

someone's who's sitting on, like, two basketballs.

Like, truly... what-what would you recommend for them to wear?

There are pants that match that jacket

that would look great on you.

(laughs)

Consider it. So, we're living in an age right now, right--

You're known for a lot of political work.

We're living in an age where a lot of people

are wearing their politics on their shirt, right?

What do you think about this? Do you think this is, like,

a self-expression thing, a change thing,

or do you think, like, someone has truly seen

a Black Lives Matter T-shirt and been like,

"Huh, maybe black lives do matter"?

I mean, all kidding aside, I think, you know,

people are expressing themselves in fashion all the time.

Every day, we make choices-- what we're gonna wear.

So whether it's literally a message on a shirt

because you are really motivated...

(cheering and applause)

...to want to-- to want to tell something from your heart

or if it's something funny

or even just to say that you look fly,

I mean, we're always speaking with what--

our choices for fashion.

-Yes. -How do you think fashion can change

the way the world thinks?

I think by keeping a conversation going, a dialogue.

And that's what I've tried to do,

even from wearing a T-shirt like this,

which is not something for sale.

It's not something I'm profiting from.

It's something handmade that I'm wearing

just because I want to get the message out.

When I heard Emma Gonzalez do her speech,

and I was so moved, and I was right before my show in Milan,

and I thought, okay, I have Vogue,

I have New York Times coming.

They have to deal with this.

And maybe, you know, someone who's into fashion,

but not as politically active or aware sees it,

and then, maybe they think,

"Oh, wonder what he's saying that about."

And "Why is he concerned about that?"

And, so, maybe I push someone who's not already there.

Obviously, there's tons of people

that are already very aware,

but maybe I inspire someone who is less aware.

-Right. And you're really great. -(applause)

Yeah, give it up.

(applause and cheering)

And you're really great with...

You're really great with tackling multiple issues, too.

Like the LGBTQ rights issue,

gun control, you know, voting, too.

What do you think about the issue

of fashion police brutality?

-(laughter) -How do you feel about that?

-Well, what exactly is that? -Well, like, I was wearing...

I was wearing a rope belt in SoHo the other day.

I swear to God, people would not make eye contact with me.

Oh, Jaboukie.

You know? So I need a little help.

But what do you... what do you think about that?

I think they're ridiculous.

You've got such a cute face. There's...

No one should be looking at your belt.

-(laughter) -Thank you.

And you're cute, too, Trevor.

FEMALE VOICE: Should I leave?

(laughter, applause)

Trevor knows already how much I love him.

I've already said I would do a PSA for this show

because I think it's so important--

the work that you do here, the writers, the whole staff,

especially in a time...

-(applause and cheering) -Yeah.

...when the news, every day, is so serious and so glum

to have this show and to have the news,

but still have it with a little humor.

And I think it's like getting your medicine

with a little sugar.

It's like it helps it go down better.

So, I love you, and I appreciate you guys, and

as a fan, I'm so honored to be here.

Thank you.

(applause and cheering)

We're super... We're honored to have you here.

And, you know, one thing that we've even covered here...

Dolce & Gabbana just faced a boycott

-from the entire country of China, right? -Yes.

Basically for offending their culture.

Do you think ignorance will ever come back in style?

Because bell bottoms have come back in style.

That's about just as offensive, you know.

I... I really don't.

I think it's an amazing time,

and I think a lot of things are coming to head.

And I think that there's so much that...

You know, growing up, I never thought about statues

that were for Civil War.

I just assumed they were there all the time.

Then to find out that they were erected in the '60s,

and to find out that this was a repressive move,

and that they're coming down today.

So, there's so much that can change.

And I think that's a-a perfect example.

It's like, "No, you can't be an asshole to people

"and a whole culture, and be a blatantly rude person,

and think that you can get away with it."

It's-it's-it's... it's not cool.

It's not fashionable.

Yeah.

(applause and cheering)

-Time's up. -All right.

Sweet detail about Meghan Markle's Fashion Awards outfit you might have missed - Duration: 2:59.

Last night Meghan Markle made a special appearance at the Fashion Awards 2018 to present her wedding dress designer, Clare Waight Keller with the Designer of the Year Award for womenswear

Since photos of the Duchess of Sussex surfaced online, people haven't been able to stop talking about her glamorous appearance - and the fact that she may have broken royal protocol with her outfit

The 37-year-old was dressed in a stunning black one-shoulder dress, which showed off her growing baby bump, and had her hair slicked back in a classic bun

She paired her outfit with simple jewellery and some burgundy nails - which goes against one of the Queen's major fashion rules, as she reportedly considers coloured nail varnish to be "vulgar"

But while everyone was debating protocol, they failed to notice the significance of the gold bracelets around Meghan's wrist

The bangles were designed by Pippa Small, with one of the pieces retails for a whopping £360

Small's latest collection, including these pieces, were hand made by men and women artisans of the Turquoise Mountain Foundation in Afghanistan

Established in 2006 by Prince Charles, Turquoise Mountain is a charity which aims to preserve and regenerate historic areas and communities in order to create new jobs, skills and a renewed sense of pride

Therefore it could be said that her choice of accessories was a nod to her father-in-law

Despite recent reports that Meghan is "difficult" the pair appear to have formed a good relationship - with Charles even displaying a photo of him walking the Duchess down the aisle in his home

According to The Sun, the expectant mother's outfit shows she wants to "make a difference"

Royal correspondent Emily Andrews said: "Meghan wants to wear jewellery and clothes that are both fabulous and have a social conscience

"And by wearing it at such a high-profile event as last night, she's ensuring her choices make a difference

"  What did you think of her outfit? Let us know in the comments below.
