California's High-Stakes Estate and Trust Litigators | Beneficiary Rights - Duration: 3:14.

Among California's several high-stakes estate and trust litigation law firms, Hackard Law

is among the leaders.

When estate and trust beneficiaries have high stakes in litigated disputes, they have a

major interest in its outcome.

There are no magic bullets in estate litigation – there are processes and knowledge-based

strategies that can improve outcomes – but the risks of litigation always exist.

The very nature of litigation is risk – risk that the result sought will fail, risk that

the expenditure of time and money will not be worth the reward, and risk that the costs

of failure can be high.

Such risks should be assessed and are a part of reasoned decision-making.

Annie Duke's Thinking in Bets: Making Smarter Decisions When You Don't Have All the Facts

is full of interesting stories and observations designed to teach her readers how to get comfortable

with uncertainty and improve their decision-making.

Duke's observations are worth noting: "In most of our decisions, we are not betting

against another person.

Rather, we are betting against all the future versions of ourselves that we are not choosing.

We are constantly deciding among alternative futures … Whenever we make a choice, we

are betting on a potential future.

We are betting that the future version of us that results from the decisions we make

will be better off.

At stake in a decision is that the return to us (measured in money … or whatever we

value in that circumstance) will be greater than what we are giving up by betting against

the other alternative future versions of us."

Estate and trust disputes are rife with alternative futures.

In the words of Annie Duke, "[O]ur decisions are always bets.

We routinely decide among alternatives, put resources at risk, assess the likelihood of

different outcomes, and consider what it is that we value.

Every decision commits us to some course of action that, by definition, eliminates acting

on other alternatives.

Not placing a bet on something is, itself, a bet."

Hackard Law regularly litigates in California's major urban areas, including Los Angeles,

Sacramento, San Diego and the Bay Area.

Girl's Day's Yura-Minah & Jihun-Jungwon's trip to California! [Battle Trip/2017.03.04] - Duration: 16:34.

(Numerous great tips on trips)

(Lee Hwijae, special host, Han Donggeun)

(Kim Sook, Sung Sikyung)

Travel is war!

Battle Trip!

Today's special host for Battle Trip

is extremely nervous.

It's singer Han Donggeun!

Hello, I'm today's special host,

singer Han Donggeun.

It's nice to meet you.

Nice to meet you.

Yes, Han Donggeun.

He's such a good singer.

- He can start singing at any minute. / - Thank you.

- Really? / - Yes.

Do you like to travel?

I do like to travel

but I haven't traveled a lot.

So I really enjoy the show.

What was your favorite?

Where did you want to go the most

when you watched Battle Trip?

The place Shin Dong went to.

- Shin Dong? / - China?

The place you could take home wine in your bottle.

You like to drink.

I see.

This is good.

We like this sort of thing.

I like his smile.

There's a reason why Donggeun's the guest today.

In fact, he has something to do with today's trip.

- Is that right? / - Yes.

Why?

The thing is

I was an overseas student there

for 4 years.

Can you introduce

today's destination in their language?

- That's right. / - Good things about the place.

He's starting with "umm."

- Umm. / - Umm.

It's like...

(Oh)

Yes!

Yes?

That kind of place.

It's an English-speaking country.

- Yes. / - English-speaking country.

And?

It's a very warm place.

Thank you very much.

Today's destination is

It's California in the West America.

- California. / - California.

Where did you stay for 4 years?

- Urban... / - I lived in 3 places.

Did you cause trouble?

- I didn't study very well. / - I see.

- So where did you stay? / - Where?

First, I was in Murrieta.

It's in the countryside.

I stayed there for a while.

- You did. / - Then I went to Fullerton.

After Fullerton...

I also lived in La Habra.

It's a small city near

Diamond Bar.

I've never been to those cities.

If you stayed in 3 cities for 4 years,

I guess you're a California expert.

I don't think we should ask him to speak English.

I heard today's trip designers...

- Had a good time there. / - Right.

Let's meet them now.

The four trip planners

who traveled to California. Come on out!

(Choi Jungwon, Kim Jihun)

Hello.

Minah and Yura are in the same team.

Jihun and Jungwon,

how did you know each other?

We're in the same basketball team.

- Oh, you play basketball together. / - Yes.

Jihun, was it your first time in the U.S?

- I've been there a few times. / - Really?

Yes.

What? You thought I've never been to the U.S.?

Is that how I look?

So what did you do in California?

L.A. is the most famous city...

- In California. / - Right.

But we traveled the northern part

of California.

- So we... / - They saw the real California.

We went to hidden tourist attractions...

Which you haven't seen a lot before.

- You did? / - Yes.

When you said you went to the northern part,

Han Donggeun said

you saw the real California.

- Only those who know, know this. / - Yes.

- Really? / - Yes.

First-timers in the U.S. usually go to L.A.

- Or places with a lot of Koreans. / - Right.

But if you're an intermediate traveler,

you head north, where you can experience nature.

When Yura was our special host, she said...

- She wanted to go on a trip. / - That's right.

- And she finally went on a trip. / - Finally.

I'm sure they will win because

they love to eat.

Definitely.

We ate a lot there.

That's the thing we remember the most.

- We ate so much. / - This is good.

That's a successful trip.

We ate too much.

Did you guys hit it off during the trip?

- Yes. We are... / - Since you're so close.

We've been together for 9 years now.

And we have the same taste in food.

- We have similar tastes. / - We like the same food.

- So... / - That's all you need.

- We like crunchy food. / - And flour-based food.

With egg yolk...

Sweet and salty.

With egg yolk...

We eat like kids.

There was the perfect sweet-salty combination.

- Okay. / - Normally...

You diet but none of that today, right?

None of that today, right?

You can work out after you eat.

- That's right. / - That's right.

- You should enjoy your food there. / - Right.

- Otherwise, you'd be stressed. / - What's the point?

You can't travel then.

We will show you the map of California.

We need your explanation.

Please tell us about California with the map.

- It must be very far. / - This is Seoul.

- There we go. / - So far.

It's so big.

Here's Los Angeles.

- Palm Springs. / - Palm Springs.

- There's Orange County. / - Orange County.

- San Francisco. / - San Francisco.

- It's in the northern part. / - It's much more north.

Napa Valley.

There's Yosemite National Park.

I've heard of that place before.

- Yosemite. / - The U.S.

The U.S. has huge natural areas, right?

Right.

They have the 3 top national parks.

One was shown here...

- Grand Canyon. / - Okay.

- Yellowstone. / - Okay.

And Yosemite.

They're the top 3?

We went to one of them.

The great thing about San Francisco is

that it's always autumn weather.

- Always, right? / - Always autumn.

The rainy season is from December to March there.

So we were very worried about it.

But it didn't rain even a single day.

But when you go to Yosemite National Park,

you can see the snow which is unbelievable.

So usually, when you go to Yosemite,

you can see the snow...

- And you can go skiing there. / - Right.

But as you know, the Earth is hurting these days.

So due to the change in weather,

it didn't snow.

- That's weird. / - But we saw snow.

You saw snow?

- Actually, we... / - In the south?

It was actually cold for us.

The Earth really is sick.

- We... / - It snowed in L.A.?

- This is so strange. / - It snowed in Palm Springs.

That's unbelievable.

It snowed in Palm Springs.

We enjoyed both the city and the nature.

- You can enjoy both. / - We experienced both.

You can do that in Busan.

You can do that in Busan.

- No, no. / - Excuse me. Go to Gangwon-do.

Is there a desert in Busan?

L.A. is similar to Korea.

You can get food delivered in L.A.

You're spot on.

I got soft tofu stew delivered.

The owners ask you to order in Korean.

They have better food there than in Korea.

L.A. is on top of the list for cities

Koreans love to travel to.

They go to L.A. and San Francisco.

No, no.

- We can confirm this on screen. / - You don't know.

- Thing is... / - This is good. It's competitive.

Okay.

We have our 100 impartial judges

who will vote on today's trips.

- Welcome. / - Nice to meet you.

The trips will be divided into two halves.

You'll vote once after each half.

That's four votes in total.

The votes aren't totaled.

Only the vote in the second half is the final vote.

Why don't we start?

Do you want to go first?

Who wants to go first?

Where should we go first?

I think we should check out the gloomy guys first.

Okay.

That'd be better.

Why do you say we're gloomy?

- Since you're guys. / - Men first.

What's interesting is that the two teams should have

met for the first time here, in the studio.

But I heard they'd already met.

- Did you meet in the U.S.? / - We met already.

You met already?

We didn't meet in the U.S.

We met on the day when we planned our trips.

Oh, then...

Oh, my face. What do I do?

- I just woke up and went. / - Seriously...

- Oh, no. / - We knew it was a shoot.

So we had full makeup on.

One seat has the king panel.

On the floor?

Oh, everyone has one?

What? I thought only I had it.

What is this?

1, 2, 3.

What is this?

1, 2, 3.

What is this?

- Who's the king? / - 1, 2, 3.

What's going on?

- You're the king. / - This is...

So the oldest person is king.

It's in order of age?

Order of age.

He and I are the same age.

- Oh, really? / - Don't be like that.

We're the same age.

Then...

Isn't L.A. better?

- It's the "La La Land" shoot location. / - It's hard.

It's the "La La Land" shoot location.

I don't really like "La La Land."

I haven't seen it.

Hasn't seen it...

Thing is...

Why are you looking at me like that?

Do you want to go to L.A.?

- I want to go to L.A. / - Really?

Why?

I like warm weather.

Is San Francisco cold?

- San Francisco is more autumn weather. / - I see.

Last year,

and it was the worst cold I've ever had...

- So it's a bit... / - You had a cold?

So it's a bit...

Then for Yura...

(Thanks, Jihun)

Let's let her enjoy L.A. for real this time.

- We'll send you to L.A. / - Okay.

- We'll send you to L.A. / - Okay.

Why does everyone hate L.A.?

L.A. is awesome.

Because for us,

we've been to L.A. a few times.

But the northern area...

There wasn't much of an opportunity to go there.

- That's true. / - That being the case...

We'd like to take this opportunity

to really explore California.

- Sorry about this. / - I want to go to San Francisco.

Yura.

- Have fun on your own. / - Yura.

If we go to a warm city,

we can go to the beach and surf.

I'm not interested in that.

Yura.

- Then what do you like to do? / - Mark my words.

After the shot of her saying this,

they'll play her having a blast on a surfboard.

I guarantee it.

(Sneak preview of next week's episode)

I wanted to go to San Francisco...

Take this.

We can go to San Francisco.

1, 2, 3. California!

BREAKING!!! CALIFORNIA Gov To Be PROSECUTED! - Duration: 29:16.

BREAKING!!!

CALIFORNIA Gov To Be PROSECUTED!

It's happening, folks!

California could be on the trail of being great again.

They've been hoarding illegal immigrants for ages, and it may all return to a detailed

prior to we think.

Gov. Jerry Brown and his liberal Democratic leadership have placed public safety in hurt

for manner too long.

Anytime an misappropriated migrator criminal is protected below sanctuary standing, the

individuals are then placed at risk.

California is like an apartment building overcrowded with misappropriated migrator criminals and

Hollywood's sexual predators.

Virtually feels like a jail, right?

contribute a number of wildfires, and you've got a crazy motion-picture show that might

write itself!

Unfortunately it sounds like the California government already wrote the script.

Currently things are changing.

Now Gov. Jerry Brown is facing prosecution and a force that can't be reckoned with.

If he has any morals or sense left, then he'll create things right by cooperating with federal

law and eliminating each sanctuary standing that lingers in California and creating the

streets less safe for everyday Americans.

California's Governor is near to get a play the door from Thomas Homan, this Immigration

and Customs enforcement (ICE) Director.

Homan straight up said that California "better hold on tight" the instant Brown allowed

the sanctuary state law to happen.

the purpose was created that the sanctuary town standing would possibly shield the criminals

as they illegally creep around our beloved american cities searching for another victim,

however ICE has plans to grab them from their hideaways and send them packing.

It's time for the law to be followed, not became a joke, and Americans deserve safety

from harbored criminals who came to America illegally.

Fox News reports: "Acting Immigration and Customs Enforcement

Director Thomas Homan said California "better hold on tight" after its liberal Democratic

governor allowed a sanctuary state law to take effect this week.

Neil Cavuto said that Gov. Jerry Brown claimed the law will protect illegal immigrants living

quietly in the shadows of society from law enforcement intent on "yanking them out

of there."

"I think it's terrible," Homan said, adding that Brown's action put politics

in front of public safety."

If Gov. Brown thinks he will defend all the dirty immigrant criminals and that's smart

for Americans, then he's wrong.

That's not smart for anyone aside from those that break the law.

Imagine living in an exceedingly town crawling with dirty immigrant criminals lurking by

the edge, simply looking ahead to the next victim to be at their mercy.

a number of the dirty immigrant criminals are concerned in sexually connected crimes

that usually have kids as victims.

Is that who Democrats like Gov. Brown want to protect?

Those styles of violent dirty migrant criminals ought to be the first individuals deported.

Fox News continues: "There's no sanctuary from law enforcement,"

he said.

"California better hold on tight – they're about to see a lot more deportation officers.

If politicians don't protect their communities then ICE will."

Homan said illegal alien smuggling organizations will use the California law as a "selling

point" and that Brown "bit off a lot more than he can chew."

Homan said that Brown and other sanctuary-jurisdiction leaders may have violated 8 U.S. Code § 1324

– relating to "harboring certain aliens."

He said he hopes the Justice Department will look into whether officials can be criminally

charged under the statute.

According to text of the federal law cited by Homan, any person "knowing… the fact

that an alien has come to… the United States in violation of the law, conceals, harbors

or shields from detection… such [an] alien in any place" can face fines and/or up to

several years in prison."

Homan basically suggests that Gov. Brown's activity may lead him to prosecution.

If liberal Democrat leader Gov. Brown is prosecuted and faraway from workplace, then ICE might

do their work while not facing any pushback from people who want to harbor illegal alien

criminals.

America has enough of its criminals, therefore why would anyone want to contain a lot of

in their country? this is often an equivalent Gov. Brown who created it doable for individuals

to infect others with HIV purposely and it's not a felony.

I believe Governor Brown is breaking the law, must be prosecuted, and also the individuals

of California can suffer considerably from him being accountable.

The time has come back for an actual amendment and to make

California

great again.

BREAKING NEWS Out Of California- This Is NOT Good

Apparently in Oakland, California, the city council would rather protect illegals that

are part of human trafficking and child trafficking and punish LEO if they step in to provide

aid to ICE agents that are taking down these scumbags.

What in the hell is wrong with humanity?

Is California so lost in their own corruption and delusions that they now work with the

Mexican Cartels and punish LEO for doing their jobs?

Anne Kirkpatrick, Oakland's police chief, is facing an Internal Affairs investigation

because she aided federal agents arrest an illegal immigrant in a sanctuary city, Fox

News reports.

A formal complaint by a city commissioner, and questioning by furious City Council members

— all because of her role in helping a federal illegal immigration crackdown in the sanctuary

city, is what has lead to Internal Affairs stepping in.

Plainclothes agents working in Homeland Security Investigations, the criminal division of the

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, executed a search warrant on 27th Street near

Martin Luther King Jr. Way around 6:30 a.m. while Oakland police officers blocked off

traffic in the area.

Police Chief Anne Kirkpatrick said in a statement that Homeland Security on Tuesday requested

the presence of marked Oakland squad cars and uniformed officers, which she authorized,

to help with traffic control and "officer safety not only for them but the safety of

those on the scene."

Last month, City Council unanimously voted to rescind an agreement that allowed Oakland

officers to be "deputized" as U.S. customs enforcement officers — a designation that

allowed the police force to work with federal immigration officials on cases of human trafficking,

narcotics smuggling and other cross-border crimes.

"The officers and Commander were given strict instructions that they may not engage in any

capacity in their enforcement efforts and their only role was that of traffic control

and safety," read the statement from Kirkpatrick.

At issue is whether Chief Anne Kirkpatrick made false statements and whether the department's

involvement violated Oakland's sanctuary-city ordinances that bar police officers from cooperating

with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Federal agents detained two adult brothers.

Records indicate that deportation proceedings began against one, Santos Alberto, but that

no criminal charges have been filed — contradicting a claim Kirkpatrick later made and meaning

that city police officers provided aid to an immigration operation that only saw civil,

not criminal, consequences.

James Schwab, an ICE spokesman, said he couldn't provide details about the investigation, but

Oakland officials said that Homeland Security agents were there to investigate the alleged

human trafficking of juveniles.

In a written response to the council members' questions, Kirkpatrick defended her actions,

saying traffic enforcement was needed in part to reduce the risk of "friendly fire"

— in which confused city police officers might shoot at armed plainclothes federal

agents, or vice versa.

And Kirkpatrick reiterated that she ordered the officers not to participate in the operation

itself.

Brian Hofer, chairman of the city's Privacy Advisory Commission, took issue with both

the involvement of Oakland police officers and Kirkpatrick's statements around the

operation.

He and seven others concerned about the issue filed a formal complaint against the chief

with the citizen police review board and the internal affairs division of the Police Department.

Oakland Councilwomen Desley Brooks and Rebecca Kaplan have pressed Kirkpatrick for more answers

as well.

Their complaint points to several purportedly false statements Kirkpatrick made about the

operation.

At a September town hall meeting, she said that one person had been charged with a crime

and that it was "not a deportation matter," both of which were untrue, the complaint says.

Only In "Commiefornia" aka, California, can the Police Department do the right thing

then turn around and get a formal complaint by

the city

council

for

hurting

their feelings.
