Hi everybody and welcome back to my channel! Today's video is going to be about

fashion and especially about the differences between how teenagers dress

in the USA against how teenagers dress in Italy. I'm talking about what I see in my

school and the area where I live. I live in Virginia and of course here the

weather is different than in Southern California. First of all, before I came

here a lot of people warned me that I needed to be careful on how I dressed

for school because if I dressed up too much people would just look at me

because no one really dresses up for school and actually people go there in

pajama and sweat pants, and sweatshirts. I have to say that there's like a mix:

some people really wear pajamas to school, other people wear sweat pants and

sweatshirts and don't really care about what you're wearing but also other

people dress up. Girls wear nice dresses and skirts and at the same time

the same girls that maybe one day dress up the next day they'll just wear

sweat pants too. The thing is that no one cares. You can have your own style, I think,

and people won't really look at you and won't really care, so you can

express more yourself. Instead in Italy there are such strict rules. If you

want to be cool or at least not be judged, if you are not wearing what

everyone else is wearing and what's the trend in that moment then people will

just look at you. And at the same time there's not a wide range of clothes you

can wear for school. In Italy you don't wear pajamas to go to school, but

you don't even wear sweatpants. Maybe in some cases but not usually. And the same time

you cannot even dress up too much because otherwise that would be like too

much and that's what you would wear for parties and for other occasions.

And so there's like this limited range of clothes that you can wear which are

nice but at the same time not too much. There's this rule that you can't wear

some kind of shoes. For example there's a huge hate against flats for girls and

against sandals. So no one wears sandals, like maybe when you are

on vacation and you go to the beach. Some people even wear sneakers when they are at the

beach and then change into flip-flops right when they go on the sand.

Here instead in the USA, well, girls can wear flats, too, and a lot of people wear

sandals. Probably the most popular type of sandals that people wear is

Birkenstock, and they wear them with socks underneath so they can wear them

even in winter. And those socks can be of whatever color, size, and fantasy you want.

So they can even be like fuzzy socks or like Christmas socks. Also about shoes,

for boots are very popular Dr. Martens, so the high ones or also the

lower ones that just reach your ankle. I know they have Dr.Martens

here but they're not as popular as in Italy. Here instead many teenagers wear

bean boots. When it rains some people in the USA wear rain boots

and sometimes girls... they wear this really nice dress and then under it

they have rain boots, so they don't have any problems. Instead in Italy, since you

want to look cool, even if there's a storm and it's pouring you won't wear

rain boots to go to school, because rain boots are not cool. So you need to

wear your Vans or Converse and get your feet soaked because otherwise you'll be judged.

Many people say that Italian fashion

goes by season and I guess that's right because if it's winter you will wear a

coat so no matter what's the temperature outside, usually, you will

still bring your coat with you and put it on, and use a scarf... and so even if one

day it's a little warmer you will still wear your coat, probably. Here instead,

probably mostly because in Virginia the weather is crazy, so one day it could be 80

degrees and the next day it could be 20. It happened

this year, in February, there were a few days with 80 degrees, and so I was

still wearing jeans and a long sleeve T-shirt but people, since it was 80 degrees,

even if it was the middle of February, in the middle of winter, they just showed up

to school with sandals, shorts, and t-shirts. So it's like

as soon as you see the sun you just change. Also, probably since people here use the

car a lot, they don't cover themselves as much. Here I've probably worn my coat

like 10 times and that's because you will probably need it for that half a minute to

go from the door of the house to the car, and then from the car to the

place where you're going, for example from the car to school. And so why would you

need a coat for just like 20 seconds? When I go to school, even if it's cold in

the morning and I have to wait for the bus for 2 minutes, I will just freeze

myself to death and then go to school, other than just carrying my coat around

all day. Because in Italy, since we don't change the classroom, we have hangers in

the classroom where we can leave our coats, here instead you don't and so you

have to carry your coat around all day long. Here a lot of people wear sport

clothes just for going to school or for going out. So they can wear their

sneakers, Nike shorts, Nike tank tops... Instead in Italy if you want to wear

sport clothes you usually wear them if you are actually doing some sport, or

you're at the gym, or something... You don't usually wear them to go to school. Also, here

often girls wear bralettes, they're very popular. Another brand that here I see a

lot it's Patagonia. They have quite expensive clothes, especially for winter

like sweaters. Something that I think it's really clever and practical it's

spandex. So... before coming here I didn't know what spandex were and I had never

used them. Spandex are basically these shorts that you can wear underneath

other clothes because they fit you so well that people won't notice you are

actually wearing them. And here girls wear spandex under skirts and dresses so

even if something happens and for example your dress comes up,

people want see your underwear because you're wearing spandex. I know that many

people think that Italian boys dress really nicely and I guess that can be

true because in America if a boy doesn't care about what he's wearing, he'll

just put on some random clothes, maybe like, sweatpants and a random

sweatshirt or t-shirt. And that can happen in Italy too, but at the same time

they look nicer. They will probably not wear

sweatpants but jeans and a nice t-shirt. Most of the boys in Italy

probably want to look nice and actually care about their appearance, even if they

don't want to show it. Both in Italy and in the USA, highschoolers wear their school

sweatshirt or t-shirt, but here it's more popular and more common. And that's because

the school spirit is way higher and people actually care about their school,

and there's like rivalry between schools and everything... The difference is that

here, of course, seniors wear their university clothes too.

So for example, once they get accepted into University, they usually buy a lot of

clothes from the University, saying the name of

the university, that they can wear to school so other people will know, but also

because so they can wear of course those clothes when they actually are in college.

When Americans want they can be really formal and for example for prom, girls

wear long maxi dresses and high heels and boys wear suits. And I think that in

ltaly there are not as many occasions to dress that nicely and that formal because we

don't have prom and even school parties are completely different and are

not so formal, but we go to the club. We can wear high heels but we usually

wear short dresses or shorts. Well, this is everything for today! I hope you

Hello, ladies! Thank you for spending a little girl time with me today.

If we have never met before, Hi! My name is Laura Gabriele and I'm the facilitator

of an online group called "Ambitious Christian Women." You can find us on

Facebook. The easiest way to find this is just to go to AmbitiousChristianWomen.org

and there inside the group we have like Bible studies, we have opportunities

to gather, we have things like challenges and stuff all designed to keep you

following after the Heart of Jesus. And our motto is "Follow God's Signs, Not

Dollar Signs." So I brought this idea to you guys a little while back. I said oh

my goodness I lost all of my business attire! I have been traveling, I went to

Guatemala for a year and when I did that with my husband we sold and gave away

like 99% of our belongings and I had kept just a few pieces things like

blazers and stuff like that in a bag and unfortunately somehow it got misplaced

and so I was faced with this challenge of needing to totally get my stuff

back in order, like I'm starting from scratch! So I asked you would you to

go on that journey with me, would you like to talk about what it means to buy

clothes and talk about things like fashion as Christians? And you said a

unanimous yes! So I'm excited for that because to me I just think this is fun

girl time and while fashion is not my forte,

it is something that I know is important. I think that how we present ourselves in

this world is really important. I have some personal things that I

adhere to as a Christian, having been changed from the inside out by the love

of Christ. I definitely look at

the way I dress differently, and so I thought, I'm going to show them behind

the curtain! And this is actually my closet! We are living in Santa Fe New Mexico and

we are renting a house. It was a furnished home, so I also have over here

like a little vanity area with a mirror. Over here is a little stack of drawers

and inside those drawers are things like undershirts and unmentionables and

things like that. And then I have my tea within arm's reach, and a few little

things for makeup and all that stuff! So I can't wait to give you this little

tour because I feel like we've been getting to know each other and I think

there comes a time in every friendship between two women that you kind of, you kind

of share a little bit more, um things things that you only show friends. So

today, my sister, welcome to my bedroom. Welcome to my closet. I can't wait to

show you what is in here and why. I think it matters! So let's get started are you

ready? Um, first and foremost, I want to point out one thing. Now clothes don't

matter too much to me. The way that I'm perceived matters a lot

to me as a Christian. So, it's a tool, it's not a thing that owns me. I own the

clothes! Right? So I also tend to think about things this way - like, God when He

created the world, and the Garden of Eden uh He - clothes were not part of the, that

picture. Like, clothes were not part of God's plan. In fact Adam and Eve were

naked in the garden! And it wasn't until sin entered in that they were even aware

that they needed some kind of covering, or, they felt naked and so now they need

to cover themselves! So when I think about clothes

I think they're not evil by any means, I'm not gonna become a

nudist! But I'm not gonna let them rule over me because I think a lot of... um, I think

that Satan uses clothing as a way to make women feel bad about themselves and

what they don't have, feel bad about their bodies,

I think Satan uses clothes to try to make women think about money and status.

Um, so basically, what I'm saying is is that it really depends on your

relationship with God, um how clothes are gonna enter into this

equation. Are they gonna be, are you gonna let clothes be something like a

stumbling block in your life, or are you going to um, be pragmatic and be wise

about what you're doing through clothes. So! All I said, let's get started! I'm gonna

open this finally! I know I set it up because I think like it's not a good

idea to talk about it even without talking about God. So, alright! Are you

ready? Like - I'm really building this up ladies!

It's really not that big of a deal. But here you have... my closet! On this side, you

will see this half and a little bit back that's all my husband's clothes, okay? And

he has this little thing for his folded clothes. But this tour is not about his

side! This tour is about mine! So let's let's, let's pony up here and see what's

what's in my side. Whadda you say? I'm gonna actually put this down here.

You're on my laptop today and I just want you to be able to see nice and

clearly. Is that good? I feel like that's a strange angle for you. It's like you're

sitting on the floor. But oh, I feel so tall! Let's get started. Okay so my

clothes here, I have kind of organized by like... these are kind of neutral colors

and then over there we're gonna get more bright. And in the back corner, the dusty back

corner of my closet, are my dresses which I rarely wear. So I kind of keep the

things that I'm wearing more frequently right easy reach. And then I put the

special occasion things in the back. And then behind all this. I kind of have a

shoe rack going on. Okay? You see that? There's some heels, I have my sneakers,

and really most of my clothes are secondhand finds from like Goodwill

which I love, I just love shopping at Goodwill because, that or

Salvation Army, because when you buy there it goes to a good cause. And often

I find some nice, pretty high quality stuff there, you know that I might not

even be able to afford brand-new. And then I do a couple of other things, so I

go to Ross sometimes and I got this at Ross. And I think it was only $15 and

it's just a jacket. So I like to go shopping at those kinds of stores. And this,

it has some faux leather on here, nice I can just button it up across the top. I

look so modern in it! I look so fashionable! But the point of this is just to show

you like you don't have to spend a ton of money to get a few things that are

really going to be super useful for you. And this jacket in particular I think it

cost me !15 and then I looked it up online and it's still for sale online for $120!

Can you believe that? So I just felt like that was a great find. And I love, I love

things like that! So I would tell you about every little piece of clothes, but

I'm not gonna do that. Like ,if you ever want me to I will, but I

think that's a little much. Instead, I just want to share with you

like - the places I shop and what I look for when I shop there. So, another thing I

do I love these, they're just like throw

over your shoulders. I'll try this one for you. I love things that are just easy.

This is a just a shawl kind of thing and both of these come from an online

service called LeTote. And LeTote, I can give you in the, in the description

below this video put a link so you can try it free! But it is a monthly clothing

rental service and on LeTote I find a lot of higher quality pieces of clothes

and especially things for work. This, this tunic here is from LeTote. Um, let's see,

I know that I rented this dress, it's from LeTote and you pay, like one monthly

fee. (for unlimited monthly boxes of clothes) you wear it, it's probably easier for you to see this thing... You wear the clothes, this is

fun, it has little bows on it. And then you send it back in the bag and they

wash it and clean it, so it's meant to be worn. Another service I use is called

StitchFix and that one's really popular. And I have a code for you too - there

- I think it's, I think it's like they waive the styling fee or something like

that? I'll look at what the code is. But StitchFix is a really good place to

start if you don't even know anything about style and you just feel

overwhelmed by it. You can kind of tell them your style woes, and one of the

things I really like about StitchFix is you show them your Pinterest and so

if you're like me and you like to use Pinterest to kind of collect things that

you think look pretty and you would want to emulate, then StitchFix is a great

option because those people, they actually assign a stylist to you and

they, that stylist will look at what you've pinned on Pinterest and read what

you wrote about what you need that it's missing from your closet.

So I told them that I was just coming back to the states and I just needed

some nice-looking bright things to wear for around the holidays. And so this is

one of the things they sent me. And I just love it, and it's really

high-quality embroidered and stuff like that. So I love StitchFix for that reason. So

let's see, yeah um this I got at Goodwill it's just a nice little shirt. So I just

have a bunch of stuff like that, that I've pieced together. Um another great

place to shop is a store called Savers. Okay and this dress was from StitchFix

black, it's hard to see black. This dress was from StitchFix. It has a nice scalloped

edging. So I wrote to them about like different occasions and then instead of

me having to go all over the place, they sent me things, which I love! I love

getting mail! I like to be surprised! StichFix is awesome.

Yeah so that's kind of like where I get my stuff... This shirt under here was

also from StitchFix. Can you tell that I like StitchFix?I really do. Um let's see.

Shoes wise I get almost all my shoes secondhand. It's like really rare you'll

see me, it's really rare that you'll see me, like buying brand new shoes. These I

love. I love shopping second hand. So these boots, these fun cowgirl boots I

actually found in a secondhand store in Montana where I used to live. I used to live

in Missoula, Montana. Oh you can see there! That's weird, in the mirror you can see...

Yeah so I have this mirror just stashed down here. It's not for any purpose, um

these I got at Savers just a couple days ago.

These black boots. And then in this whole closet I really don't have any shoes

that I bought new. Except for these ones they're so dirty!

So basically when it comes to style I used to dress when I first wanted to

start being stylish, I used to dress in really bright colors. Which I think was

fun for me and matched my personality maybe, but for me being such a petite

girl and having such unique like textured hair, it was kind of

overwhelming for other people. And I didn't realize that I wasn't thinking

about how I'm being perceived. You see what I mean? So I think that when it

comes to style it's really good to just start with neutral colors and things

like cream and white and black and gray. These colors flatter everyone. You don't

have to worry, and you're never coming across as too crazy bold. I think that we

can easily add in fun colors with things like scarves. So I'm gonna show you my

scarves, okay? So this is my towel, please ignore. Okay so these are my scarves, and

they're kind of just hanging. Let me see if they... I just kind of stuff them in

here. My hat, um, I have some goldenrod, I have some blue with a fun pattern, bright

red, here's a bright orange, and then I have a nice high-quality cashmere scarf

which was a gift, and then this. I don't know, it's soft I think it's chenille. So

I pull in colors with scarves which i think is less

overbearing. So if say I wanted to incorporate some color in what I'm

wearing now, I would just maybe do this! Right? And I would just take a little more

time. I am NOT a style person! I am just showing you as a friend what I've got

going on. So yeah I would just add in color like this. So really I think that

the way we dress doesn't have to be too overwhelming, right? We can have fun with

it, but it doesn't have to be like silliness where we're looking really bright and

crazy. Um, we can just take it easy. So okay I mean, I could show you more. Do

you want to see more? Do you have time? If you have time, I will show you more. Um I

have some jewelry that I like. I like, I like things that are more natural like

little, um earrings with you can almost see them actually from here like

anything that looks like from nature I like. But as we close here and I show you

the final things, I just want to remind you about something kind of cool that's

found in first Peter and first Peter verse - er- chapter three, I'm I find

this verse that says your beauty should not come from outward adornment such as

braided hair or gold jewelry or fine clothes, but from the inner disposition

of your heart. Mm-hmm! The unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit which is

precious in God's sight. So, as you begin to approach your wardrobe and just try

to maybe tone it back which is what I'm recommending to you, like go more natural

go more neutral, be less intense with your clothes,

be less patternsy and more, you know, basic! I think you're gonna take a

lot of the pressure off yourself when you start to do your shopping secondhand

and find these like neutral, easy kinds of pieces that flatter you rather than

trying to make yourself look like someone you're not, or make yourself look

rich, and things like that, which I don't think are pursuits that are becoming of

a woman whose heart is after the Lord. Also one last thought here before I

close is just that for centuries and even to this day clothing is has been

used to control and to relegate women into positions of being subjected being

used or abused even one example would be the way that even little girls clothing

now is so skimpy like short shorts on a little girl, and things like that that

really play to, unfortunately, a growing prevalence of people that are just... I

hate to say this, it sucks to have to say, people that are really after young kids

in a sexual way. It's very sad and also on the other side we have women who

are forced to wear black full coverings with just a little slit for their eyes

in the heat! You know, and it's very sad to me. I think we're

fortunate if you're watching this you you're likely in the United States and

most of my viewers are in the United States, and we're fortunate to have

freedom of choice over what we wear and we're fortunate to have the Holy Spirit

with us to help us discern how we're going to dress ourselves in a way

that's pleasing to the Lord without being over-the-top without drawing too

much attention to our curves... which I don't have very many !I don't have to

worry about that! And just dressing even our children in a way that isn't going

to subject them to people looking at them in the wrong way out of their inner

darkness, you know? So I just think ladies that clothes can be fun but we also need

to guard ourselves and be vigilant. So I hope this was helpful to you and I hope

that it felt like fun because that's what I meant to do, just to have some

girl time with you and talk in the way that I would if we were friends in

제가 컬렉션 보면서 느끼는 여러가지 이야기들!

and share various stories that I feel

함께해보도록 할게요

while I watch the collection with you!

패션위크는 크게 뉴욕,런던,밀라노,파리

Fashion week is usually divided into

이렇게 4가지가 있는데

New York, London, Milan and Paris

하나씩 보도록 하겠습니다

I'll review one by one

컬렉션 리뷰하기전에

Before reviewing the collection,

제가 아직 컬렉션들을 제대로 보지 않았고

I have not reviewed the collections thoroughly yet

같이 보면서, 생생한 느낌을 함께 전달하기 위해서

to convey my vivid feeling

실제 컬렉션에서 의도한 바와

And my interpretations may have a slightly different view

제가 느끼는건 조금 다를 수 있다는거

from original intention of the designers

I wanted to tell you this in advance

이번 뉴욕 컬렉션중에서 흥미롭게 보았던

I'll take a look at the most impressive one

켈빈클라인 컬렉션 한번 보도록 할게요

in this New York collection, Calvin Klein

저 빨간 색 밴드 라인이

As I know, the red band line is

제가 알기론 소방관? 그런거에서 모티브를 따온 걸로 알고있어요

inspired by a firefighter kind of thing

투박해 보일 수 있는 소방관 코트인데

The firefighter coat could be look tough,

실루엣이나 이런걸 잘 만들어서

but thanks to the nice job on silhouette

트렌디해보이네요

It looks trendy

그리고 런웨이 바닥이 팝콘이에요

As you can see, the runway is popcorn

모델들은 팝콘 봉지를 들고다니고 있어요

Models are carrying popcorn bags

지금 이 쇼가 사회적인걸 많이 담고있어요

This show has a lot of social message

이번에 자유를 표현하고

This time, It presents liberty and

새로운 아메리카,

new America,

새로운 켈빈클라인

and new Calvin Klein

이런걸 표현하는걸로 기억하고 있어요

That's what I remember

약간 트럼프 정부에대한 비판적인 시각?

Kind of critical view for Trump government?

왜냐하면 이번년도가 제 개인적으로

Because I think this year is

격동의 시기인거 같아요

a period of turbulence

컬렉션 보면,

In this collection,

보호구 장갑을 컬렉션에 사용하기도 했고

you will meet protective gloves frequently

굉장히 방어적이면서 사회적인 요소가 많이 들어가있어요

Those things deliver defensive feeling in the eyes of the society

그리고 바닥이 팝콘이라고 그랬잖아요

And I mentioned 'popcorn runway'

미국이 옥수수 최대 생산국이잖아요

America is the biggest producer of corn

그런데 그게 불타버리고,

But the corn is burned out

정치적인 요소를 많이 담아서

That means political things

팝콘을 바닥에 깐거라고 알고있어요

That's the reason why they spread popcorn on runway

소방관 재킷,발라클라바라던지

From firefighter jackets and balaclava

여러가지로 묵직한 분위기들이 많이 느껴지네요

I can feel heavy atmosphere

이번에 코트 실루엣이 마음에들어요

I like silhouette of the coat

어깨는 화려한데 라인이 뚝 떨어져서

The shoulders are excessive while the line is clear

제가 좋아하는 실루엣이에요

which is my favorite silhouette

저 팝콘 귀엽다

That popcorn is cute

모델들 걷기 힘든게 보여

Models are struggling to walk

약간 '덜그럭 덜그럭'거리네

It is a little bit rattling

이번에 쇼에서 소방관, 시민, 전쟁 등 50가지를 소개했었대요

In this show, they present 50 kinds of themes such as firefighters, civilians and warfare

이게 다 정치적인 성향이 많이 보이는 컬렉션인거같아요

I think this collection shows political tendencies

묵직한 분위기인데 후반부로 갈 수록

Heavy atmosphere, but as the show progresses

컬러들이 발랄한게 많이 사용되어서

by using more youthful colors

희망이 보이는..? 사회적인 느낌을 보여주려고 한거같아요

I think they are trying to deliver a hopeful message

다음은 마크제이콥스 컬렉션이에요

Next up is the Marc Jacobs Collection

1980년대 분위기를 많이 내려고 했다네요

They were trying to put specific atmosphere of 1980s

노래도 그렇고, 옛날 느낌을 많이 내려고했네요

We can tell that by listening to the background music

확실히 옷 실루엣도 그렇고 챙이라던지

We can tell that by looking silhouette of the clothes, and peaked cap

80년대 올드한 느낌을 많이 준거같고

which express old feelings of the '80s

정치적인 성향이 많이 보이는 컬렉션인거 같아요

And it has a political aspect as well

옛날 아방가르드한 컬렉션에서 영감을 많이 받은거같아요

The designer maybe inspired by old avant - garde collection

생로랑이라던지 몬타나?

Such as Saint Laurent or Montana?

과한 리본이라던지

Excessive ribbons,

도트무늬

Dot patterns

포즈도 각을 잡아서 잘 어울리네요

Pose, and everything looks great

마크제이콥스가 이번에 백스테이지에서

In the backstage, Marc Jacobs says that

자신은 25년동안 색을 굉장히 좋아하는 사람이어서

As he has fallen in love with color for 25 years,

자신의 최고 경쟁력이라고 생각한다고 했어요

he definitely has a competitiveness in color

그래서 이런 간결한 실루엣에서도

So, in this simple silhouette

색을 잘 활용했어요

he shows his talent by using color

지금 보시면 헤어 컬러라던지

That's the hair color you see now...

왠만한 모델들이 다 자기헤어를 사용했다고 알 고 있어요

As I know that's their real hair

소재도 새틴소재(광택나는)라던지 이런게있어서

Thanks to the glossy satin material,

너무 심심하진 않은거같아요

this collection looks interesting

우아한, 한편의 연극같은 컬렉션이네요

It's an elegant collection like a play

쇼 안에 쇼?

피날레로 전체 실루엣보니까 더 멋진대요?

모자랑 잘 어울린다

컬렉션이 뉴욕에서 런던이나,밀라노로 많이 넘어가서

As many collections moved from New York to London or Milan,

눈에 띄는 컬렉션이 많이 없네요

it is hard to find a remarkable collection

이 컬렉션 제가 메인사진이 흥미로워서 궁금한 컬렉션!

But I waited this collection after seeing the main picture!

Philipp Plein 이라는 브랜드의 컬렉션인데

It's a collection of a brand called Philipp Plein,

메인컷이 흥미로워서 궁금했어요

and I was curious because of the interesting main cut

이번에 버버리 컬렉션은

Christopher Bailey가 마지막으로 진행하는 컬렉션이에요

the last collection designed by Christopher Bailey

굉장히 오랜시간

for a long time

버버리의 크리에이티브 디렉터였는데

He has been working as Burberry creative director

그의 버버리 마지막 컬렉션입니다

This is his last Burberry collection

이번에 저 무지개가

That rainbow contains

새로운것에대한 기쁨,표현

Joy of the new, expression

그리고 성 소수자분들을위한 의미를 담고있어요

and meanings for LGBT

그래서 버버리 패턴에도 레인보우가 들어가있네요

That's the reason why Burberry pattern also contains rainbow

마지막 컬렉션이어서 화려할줄 알았는데

I expected splendid thing because it was his last collection

오히려 잔잔한 느낌이네요

but it feels rather calm

이 버버리 체크에 포인트로 무지개가 들어간게 귀엽다

It's cute to have a rainbow as a point on Burberry check

이번에도 사회적 메시지를 많이 담고 있군요

There are lots of social messages as well

피날레! 이게 이쁘다

이번 컬렉션은 맨즈웨어,우먼 이렇게 나누지않고

This collection is not divided by sex

한번에 합쳤어요

왜냐면 J.W 가 앤드로지너스룩을 대표하는 컬렉션이거든요

Because J.W represents Androgynous Look

양성적인 그런 룩들 (유니섹스같은)

Like a unisex look

그리고 J.W Anderson과 컨버스가 콜라보레이션을 해서

And as Converse collaborated with J. W Anderson,

이번 컬렉션에서 많이 보이네요

I see a lot in this collection

paisley 가 이렇게 원피스에 들어가니까 사랑스럽네요

몇몇 룩들은 마음에드는데 몇개는 평범한..?

I like some, however, others are not that much impressive

여러가지 문화가 보이는 컬렉션이에요

It's a collection inspired by various cultures

이런 머리 장식은 중동에서 영감을 받았고

These headdresses were inspired by Middle East

이게 대박이죠!!

이게 3D 프린팅으로 몇개월전에 미리 제작했다고 알 고 있어요

I heard that they made it via 3D printing a few months ago

여러가지를 담아내서 화려하지만

It's gorgeous by expressing a lot of things,

그래도 피스 하나씩 봐도 마음에 드네요

but I like one by one

패턴도 기하학 패턴이 많이 보이고

Patterns have a lot of geometric one

진짜 일본에서 영감을 받았네요

They are really inspired by Japan

요즘 컬렉션에서 저거 많이 보여요

I see frequently that in collections these days

슈즈벨트?

Shoes belt?

이런거 많이 하던대

I've seen lots of those things

구찌는 이 화려하면서 촌스러운 느낌이

I think Gucci has to take this gorgeous and homely feeling

매력으로 가져가야 하는거같아요

as their own charm

근데 묘하게 세련됐다?

I don't know why but it's attractive

왜 병원 컨셉으로 했냐면

The reason of choosing hospital concept is

패션이 소재를 다양하게 절단하기도 하고

Fashion can cut materials

재구성하기도하고

or reorganize it

결합하기도 하잖아요

or combine it in various ways

Alessandro Michele가 자신의 머리속에 있는

Alessandro Michele has his a lab in his mind

실험실을 실험실을 보여주고싶다고

And he wanted to show the lab

이런 외과의사같은 부분이 많이있다고 느꼈대요

He thinks he has in common with a surgeon

그래서 세트를 병원으로 만들었다네요

So, he made the set into a hospital

이 공룡! 이것도 3D 프린트래요

This dinosaur! This is 3D printing as well

나는 이 공룡 너무 좋아

I like this dinosaur so much

가방 대신에 들고있는게 너무 좋고

I love carrying it instead of a bag

뱀 들고 있는것도 있던대

The one with the snake

굉장히 그로테스하잖아요

It's very grotesque

저는 이런게 너무 좋아요

I like this a lot

제 취향은 펑키하고

My taste is funky,

징그럽고, 혐오스러운게

and disgusting, unpleasant things

제가 좋아하는 요소거든요

That's what I like

무섭기도하고, 섬뜩한

A kind of scary

근데 구찌는 이걸 캐주얼하게 풀어냈잖아요

But Gucci did it in a casual way

사실 무서운 공간이잖아요

It's actually a scary space

병원이기도하고

It is also a hospital

수술대도 있고, 조명도 있고

There's an operating table and lights

기괴한 동물에다가

From bizarre animals

헤드피스까지

to headpieces

음침하고 무서울 수 있는데

It could be scary things

위트있게 풀어내서 저는 마음에들어요

But I like it because these things having a wit

사람들이 이게 컬렉션이냐고

Many people say

현대미술같다는 이야기가 많더라고요

This collection is like a contemporary art

Alessandro Michele로 디자이너가 바뀌고나서

After the designers changed to Alessandro Michele,

구찌가 훨씬 좋아진건 변함없는 사실인거같아요

Gucci has improved a lot

언제까지 올드한 브랜드로 남을 수는 없잖아요

It can't remain as an old brand forever

DOLCE&GABBANA 볼까요?

Let's see DOLCE & GABBANA

DOLCE&GABBANA는 제가 좋아하는 브랜드에요

DOLCE & GABBANA is my favorite brand

왜냐하면 화려한 분위기가 제가 좋아하는 요소가 많아요 (컬렉션을 너무 우려먹는것 빼곤)

Because the colorful atmosphere has a lot of elements I like (Except they depend on collection too much)

이 드론!

This drone!

이게 논란이 많이 됐어요

That was very controversial

그래도 긍정적인 효과가 있었어요

It had a positive effect, though

왜냐하면 드론때문에 쇼가 30분정도 딜레이되었대요

Because the show was delayed by 30 minutes because of the drone

와이파이 꺼달라고 한명씩 호명하면서 제재를 가했대요

Staffs sanctioned each people to turn off the Wi-Fi

드론이랑 혼선되면 위험하고, 꺼질 수 있어서요

Wi-fi could affects signal of drone, and the drones could be turned off

근데 진짜 대박이다

But it's a real hit

이제 세상은 변했어

Now the world has changed

드론이 모델이야

Drones became a model

가방을 저렇게 들고올거라고 누가 생각했어?

Who would have thought that they would bring a bag like that?

돌체랑 드론이랑 오묘한 조합인거 같아요

I think it's a weird combination of Dolce and the drones

새로운 시도였다고 봐야죠?

It was a new attempt

이제는 드론이 옷걸이 들고 나오는거 아니야?ㅋㅋ

Someday we will watch a drone with hanger on the runway

이번에 패션예배를 모티브로 했다고 하더라고요

I heard that they were motivated by fashion worship

확실히 예수라던지 성도,큐피트에 영감받은게 보이네요

이거 예쁘다

It suits well because she is skinny

확실히 좋아할만한, 실패하지 않을만한 느낌이 많이 드는 컬렉션이네요

타미힐피거는 지지하디드랑 콜라보 잘 한거같아요

I think this collaboration with Gigi Hadid was nice decision

예전부터 타미힐피거 색 배합을 되게 좋게 느꼈는

Color scheme of Tommy Hilfiger was good

그런데 올드한 느낌이 너무 많이 들었어요

but they are out dated

아무래도 오래된 브랜드이기도하고

It is also an old brand indeed

골프웨어 느낌을 버릴 수 없었는데

and I could not get away with the feeling of golf wear

이렇게 콜라보 한 후로

But after this collaboration,

영해져서

There are young vibes

접근하기 좋아졌어요

디올 옷중에 'We should all be feminists' 이런 슬로건을 담은 티셔츠가 있거든요

There is a Dior T-shirt with the slogan 'We should all be feminists'

그때 컬렉션 이후로

Since the collection

여성 인권을 주장하는 내용이 많아요

there are a lot of women who claiming human rights

이번 컬렉션도 여성 인권을 주장하는 내용이 담겨있다고 알고있어요

This collection also contains content claiming women's rights

세트가 1960년대 보그,바자의 표지라네요

The set is cover of Vogue, Baja in 1960's

60년대가 되게 개성이 많은 시대잖아요

1960's were very distinctive

스웨터에 'C'est Non Non Non et Non!' 이게

The phrase 'C'est Non Non Non Non Non!' on knit means

아니, 안돼, 안돼 이런 부당함에대해서 당당하게 말할 수 있는걸

페미닌하다고 레이스 많고,샤랄라한것보다는

Unlike the usual feminine and sweet things

조금 더 파워풀하고

This is more powerful

당당한 느낌이 많이 드는 컬렉션

And imposing

옷들 자체도 힘이 있는거같아요

I think the clothes themselves have power

헤어도 다 똑 떨어지는 헤어네요

Hairstyles are also bold

이 룩 되게 멋지다

So cool

올 블랙에 흑인모델과 잘 어울리네요

It matches well with models

개성을 표현하려고해서 그런지

They tried to express their personality

패턴 자체도 화려하고

the pattern is very fancy

여러가지 꼴라주가 많이 들어갔어요

and there are lots of collages

아무래도 저 세트장이랑 비슷한 무드겠쬬

Maybe the mood would be similar to the set

여성인권을 표현하는 슬로건이 많이 보이네요

이번 시즌에 저런 소재 많이 보이는거같아요

there are a lot of interesting styles

이렇게 2018FW 패션 브랜드 컬렉션 영상을 함께 봤어요

We watched the 2018 FW fashion brand collection video together

이제는 패션으로만 승부하긴 어려운거같고

I think it's hard to compete with fashion only

브랜드의 컨셉과, 히스토리가 함께해야지

the brand's concept and history must be together

성공적인 컬렉션을 마칠 수 있는거같아요

to complete in collections

너무 많은 의류들이 쏟아져 나오기때문에

because there are too many clothes coming out

옷으로만 승부보기는 어려운 느낌?

it's hard to beat with only clothes

그래서 그런지 여러가지 메시지를 담은

Maybe that's the reason why I see different messages

컬렉션이 많이 보였어요

in these collections

사회적인 분위기나 자신의 사상을 표현해 내기도 했고

They have expressed their social stance and own thoughts

또 그 외에 혁신적인 시도를 하기도 했고

have also tried innovative attempts

드론을 사용하거나 3D 프린팅

like drones and 3D printing

이런 미래적인 요소가 많이 결합된

those futuristic elements existed

컬렉션이 많이 보였어요

in this collection

시대가 변해서 여러가지 요소를

I think the times have changed and

패션과 접목 시킬 수 있는거같아요

we can connect various elements with fashion

The first intention of this video was

원래 캐주얼하게 영상을 풀어가려고했지만

to create interesting video casually

패션 이야기가 나오다보니까 진지해지고

but when I'm dealing with fashion, became serious

처음 촬영해보는 구성이라

As it's my first time

They are known to be good friends, and have been seen at a number of parties together over the years.

And Bella Hadid and Stella Maxwell allegedly proved their close relationship at a party back in 2015 - when they were spotted kissing by onlookers.

According to The Sun, the good-looking pair were seen passionately locking lips at a LOVE Magazine bash three years ago, and only had eyes for each other at the event, held at Londons Loulous.

A source told the paper: Bella and Stella were at a table in the corner but only had eyes for each other They were kissing passionately and looked to be really into it and having a lot of fun.

However, the insider acknowledged the girls had got away with it due to their lower levels of fame, adding: Bella wasnt the star that she is now.

Shes likely to be far more discreet now..

MailOnline has contacted both Bella and Stellas representatives for comment.

With the incident occurring in 2015, Belgian beauty Stella has since found love with actress Kristen Stewart.

Rumours started swirling that the duo were lovers back in 2016 but they werent officially public until pictures of them kissing were published a year later.

Meanwhile Bella is believed to have been single ever since her split from musician The Weeknd in November 2016.

The pair started dating in early 2015, and reconciled after a brief split in February 2016, before parting ways for good that year.

However, Bella set tongues wagging when the singer, born Abel Tesfaye, was spotted sprinting out of her apartment in November 2017 - shortly after his split form actress Selena Gomez.

The brunette was most recently spotted with a mystery man in Paris - with the pair enjoying a fun day out together at Disneyland.

Hello my name is SJ van Zyl

I am a portrait and beauty photographer from Cape Town

My Journey in Photography started when I studied graphic design

During my studies, I realize that I was more interested in creating images and doing photography

than what I was doing graphic design

That jump started my interest

I started studied makeup design after that

I incooperated those skills into creating the images that we are now creating today

I tried to copy a lot of different photographers that I was following

and I realize that even though I was nailing the technical aspects of the photos

they weren't making me happy and it wasn't feeding my creative soul and spirit

So, what happened I packed away all my studio lights and I went back to natural light

I started learning every I could learn about natural light

And I shot like that for a very long time

and it was when I was doing this that I stopped looking like other photographers

and embracing natural light that my work came alive

That is also about the time that I bought my Fujifilm

and the magic of the colors and the contrast that I got with that camera was beautiful

So, I will say my style of photography at the moment is portrait base but it is a timeless look to it

It's not studio heavy, it's very soft feathered like

I will say the closes thing I can properly compare it to is the work of Annie Leibovitz, Sue Bryce

I think the most important thing I've learned on my journey as a photographer is that

you are only as good as the team that you work with

and that includes your model your hair stylist and your makeup artist, and if you are lucky a stylist as well

Makeup and hair is such an integral part of photography in capturing your subject

so and I think the fact that I am a makeup artist myself

and I have a background in that helps me to visualize what I want for my photoshoot

OK, we just finished our first look which was our beautiful and innocent soft look

now we are moving towards a little bit more edgy a little bit more vampy kind of look for our second look

So, it's that balance between good and evil which I think will come through quite nicely

I fell in love with Fujifilm as soon as I lay my hands on one of the cameras 2 years ago

And the reason why I love Fuji so much

it's the first time I shot with a camera

where the contrast, colors even in a jpeg format when I open it blew me away

It was the first time I did not have to do a lot of tweaking

and it was the closest to what I was seeing in my viewfinder

to what it was when I opened it on my computer

It also has a lot of tweaks that I love

a live viewfinder so when you are changing settings

you can see what is happening with your image in live view mode

And that saves you a lot of time

So, when you're changing your shutter speed or your ISO your F-stop

You can see all of that changing in real time on your viewfinder

And also, when if you are someone like me who cannot see when you manual focus as well as you should

there is lovely little tools where they highlight the areas that are being focused on in manual mode

You don't need like a microscope to see if something isn't focused by turning you know your focal point

So, I think that makes a massive difference for me

The team that is involved behind Fujifilm

the support that you receive as a photographer from them is amazing

And It's the first time in my life that I feel I'm part of a family

and that they are there looking out for me as a photographer

And actively promoting me and supporting me and teaching me a lot of new things

And the knowledge and experience that I have gained from this is immeasurable
