Auto news on Youtube Feb 7 2018

okay now my livestreams making noise because it was on mute so if you ever

is what I'm so glad that I just checked my live stream to make sure that people

can hear me he's because it was on mute and you can't hear me life of an

entrepreneur but I'm Brandi of www.BlogginBrandi.com

for those of you that do not know me I help people build their businesses and

their brands and I share all of my tips and tricks on YouTube and social media

and today I get so many questions about building your business and how to get

started and whether you need money or experience I started with nothing I had

no experience starting my own business I had no money to really be doing anything

because I had a job and I was about to quit it

I had bills up to my eyeballs I can't even tell you where I was but I sat down

today and said okay I keep getting all these phone calls especially from one of

my really good girlfriends she calls me all the time to tell me about how she

has this great idea and she wants to start something and I keep saying you

know why have you not started and she keeps saying I don't know brandy but the

whole reason that I haven't started is one reason is I'm scared and I say to

people like what are you scared of what is keeping you from breaking through and

is it money is it experience or is it just your mindset and your thought

process so that's what we're gonna be talking about today and I have something

super special that I'm going to announce at the end of this livestream as well as

if any of you have any questions I'll be answering those live

and after this video the way that YouTube works is this is gonna go and

upload it so without further ado let's just talk about how I got started in my

first business and what I really had starting out and where I started so I

did go to college I do have a degree but that really has nothing to do with what

I do now so for those of you didn't think that you have to go to college and

you have to get this big corporate job and learn all these fancy skills that

would be wrong because think about it anytime you get a

job you've learned skills you've learned how things are going and you start to

develop in a month in two months and you start to look back and say wow

I had no idea what I was doing and now this all makes sense why did I make this

so complicated so it's the same thing with starting your own business nobody

tells you how to do it there's not really a system in place you kind of

just have to throw yourself out there and figure it out so I had my job and

one day I watched this webinar online and the webinar was really about and I

have my notes here like I'm not kidding I really planned this stuff out um

was I saying that I've joined this webinar and the crazy thing about this

webinar is it just got me thinking and I was like you know I'm sitting here all

day and from I would say 9:00 to 5:00 but literally 7:00 to 5:00 I had so much

to do but then I would have these free time so like from I don't know seven to

ten or seven to twelve I would do a whole bunch and then the rest of the day

I was just like wait on people to call because I traded stocks and stuff like

that and it's totally boring and not anything that I do now but I used to

trade like billions of dollars for Wall Street and I did this conveyor belt job

and decided I wanted to do something else because what I figured out was that

I knew how to automate the systems that we did and all of the people that worked

with me and so everybody would come to me and I would put together a system and

everybody just knew that this is how the system flowed so I've watched this

webinar and it got me thinking about how to sell stuff because up until this

point I had only sold stuff on line like money so I've traded money for people

invested money for people but I really had never sold a product

selling a service innocence or I was telling your product that was was more

like a service based product so you could purchase things like plans for me

when I did individual advising and stuff but either way I did have some type of

skills in selling only because I was talking to people all day I was not

getting paid to sell it really just started out as learning in my job so I

moved on to selling stuff online Amazon eBay I came across just this webinar

that taught me about how to make money from going to Goodwill going to Walmart

I would go to Target and thrift stores yard sales

you name it flea markets I started learning how to sell online and it just

opened a whole new world for me because it was almost like a high and so I went

from shopping for myself for shopping for other people and it was like an

addiction in a way then I was able to shop and go buy clothes and toys and

baby items and weird stuff you never even think that people would buy believe

me people buy really weird things so I started selling everything you could

think of and then it like I said it became a high so I was like okay how can

I get to the bigger thing and the bigger thing so from going into the retail

shops I went into pallets and I started trying to figure out like how can I buy

more of this stuff and sell more of it because I was selling out online

I was selling on Amazon I was selling on eBay I was selling on local offer apps

and here we have offer up and was the other one let go so you may see a lot of

commercials for that at least here in the US

and I'm in the southeast 8000 so I started selling crazy things online

people were buying for me right and left I had a beautiful apartment that was

stacked to the ceiling in boxes Amazon boxes packaging then I moved into a

warehouse office space and it just kind of blew up from there like I said I had

no idea what I was doing and it just kind of fell into this business and I

didn't really know I was making I was just kind of trying to figure out how to

make extra money on the side but I wasn't necessarily planning on it

becoming a full-blown business so I'm started doing the pallets like I said

and that was like local auctions so I found some local ones that are here in

Atlanta and I was just searching online I would search warehouse inventory

liquidation deals things like that and closeout sales closeout deal things of

that nature and see what came up so some of the things that started to happen was

I would get these huge pallets of new items and one of them was magic kids I

remember these magic kits sold out like hotcakes I cannot believe how fast these

things sold out so I would go back and get more and it just got really crazy

and the I even started what was the other one I think there's no starburst

it's called bulk beat ulq and I was living in this beautiful high-rise

across from Sara Blakely back in the day before she moved across

the street now from where I'm at holler Sara because I'm still across the street

from you that's my girl like my real girl so Sara if you ever want to invite

me over and just thanks I totally can see you and I would love to come up

there and out but that's my shoutout so pallets

auctions on line my walls were stacked up with boxes and I was getting these

huge trucks to come and deliver these pallets to my condo and it was kind of a

little sketchy also because I'm here in Atlanta and I'm just gonna say like it's

not the safest place and so I would be downstairs getting stuff delivered and

people would say these fancy items come by and I was thinking oh my gosh

somebody's gonna steal this before I get it out to my condo I'm sitting here

unloading these huge pallets of stuff like I wish I had video and pictures of

all of this I have some old pictures of my house then I took but I wish you

could have seen a lot of the truck show up there's so much that I wish I could

share with you because it was crazy and even till it's dial I my warehouse all

that so document document document your journey and you're gonna have so much

more even if you don't share it now document where you're headed and where

you're going so sorry I pitch um I got these pallets delivered like I said I

was stealing stuff on so I flipped these items

I flipped and I bought new items I did get into return items but that was just

a bad business move so if anyone ever asked if you want to sell return items

or buy return pallets absolutely not do not do that it is a waste of your time

and money so um sold on Amazon sold on eBay when I

first got started just flipping items that I found at local stores and I came

across this Amazon seller app there's also some other ones I think they're

called maybe profit bandit and some other stuff I made some videos about

this called like goodwill series a while back probably a year ago and shared my

journey on this and what I would do because a lot of you were asking

questions so yes I even till this day sometimes if I get

really excited and I see something that can sell a lot I will scan it with my

Amazon seller app and see what the cost will be so what happened was I started

getting so busy that I went from buying just individual items to my mask

quantity of items to then I started getting I don't want to say complaints

but people would say something about the product that I sold like something broke

and they wanted me a fake shirt fix it or replace it and I was thinking well I

only have one of these or if I had another one I would send it to them

which thankfully did it happen very often but I started to learn that I

didn't want to be selling someone else's product because I had no control over

the manufacturing I had no control over the what they were putting out the

content they were putting out about the product and it led to me private

labeling so I started out private labeling or I would say importing and

exporting probably the labelling products from like China and then it

moved on to me not importing and exporting but private labeling products

here in the US so at first I started out on some tools that many of you may have

heard of one is Alibaba and it's like the Amazon of the world for trading

wholesale goods and items and then they have another option which is called

Aliexpress and so with Alibaba normally they expect you to buy like 100 200 300

500 100,000 of something to sell but with Aliexpress you can buy a smaller

quantity maybe you want two or five or ten of a quantity to sell and you can

start now with Aliexpress you can't do the private labeling both Alibaba you

can because you're talking one-on-one with the manufacturers and working out

deals and that's a whole nother ballgame of

what to get into and how to get started on that if you're interested in stuff

like that let me know like I said I'm going to be uploading this video again

like I said things started to multiply and even when I was private labelling I

did kind of run into something I've never really talked about this so you're

the first to hear this I private labeled a product and it was I don't want to say

the epitome of my business but it taught me a huge learning lesson and I lost a

lot of money and I spent a lot of time and if I could go back there's so many

things I would do different because I probably could have saved so much I know

I could have saved so much money on Semak time but it's all a learning

experience so I private labeled an illiquid except for some of you that

don't know that's a product that you put in those ecig arete and I had a company

it was called smoke serendipity still to this day of my company it's called smoke

serendipity and I'm working on changing that because I also have my company blog

of brandy and so I really need to combine those but moral lesson of his

story do not name your business anything that you're naming like your product and

the other thing was that the product that I was selling it wasn't that it was

a failure it was just the whole thing that surrounded it that was a failure so

the biggest thing that I had no idea I didn't really think about was the fact

that they outlawed people advertising cigarettes

I mean how many times you ever see a Marvel commercial or anything out

they're promoting any type of smoke sensation Atari you don't see that

anymore because they outlawed it so I learned that the hard way I was trying

to buy advertisements and I couldn't sell the product and obviously I did

this the exact way that a lot of you do your businesses and a lot of the ways

that you keep telling me that you're starting your businesses you're talking

about buying a mass quantity of t-shirts oh i'm by about 500 books of this

already in a sample copy okay let's back up don't ever buy products in

mass quantity until you have started selling them and the way it works means

you sell ten then you buy twenty yes then you buy a hundred then you buy a

thousand and you sell out each of those quantities and then you do more if

you're not selling the product that could tell you something and if you're

running out it's not necessarily a bad thing it's letting you know that you

need more quantity and that's a good thing that you're running out ok cool

now I need to get 20 now I need to get a hundred and in the beginning you're not

necessarily gonna make money you may be losing money which is totally fine

because that's how a business starts you will lose money in the beginning you're

not always gonna be winning chassé so um what else so I tried to buy

these Google ads and I'm sorry to figure out there was all these regulations

around smoking and sanitation products even know some of the things I was

selling we're more vitamin based or all natural healthy base so that started to

get me thinking about well do I really want to be selling this and then I sort

of just look at my competition and all of these legalities and legal actions

that we're taking against them so it just really put me in a mindset okay

again I don't make the liquid for this product I just and private labeling it

from honestly China so it was a janky situation needless to say I do

not sell that anymore and I'm a huge stock of this inventory still to this

day I believe it sitting at my mother's house but that was a business lesson

learned um so I bought a lot of it and then my morals kicked in I was just

thinking like do I really want to be selling this am i hurting someone would

someone want to brand themselves with my company or say I'm associating with her

she sells this big cigarette product and another thing is like I don't smoke that

stuff so it's not really a conversation piece for me if I'm out around people

that are smoking yet I'm running the opposite direction and it's just not

something that I would be selling along with my morals so during that process

that I had set up my own website like three times and learned how to promote

on social media because social media wasn't as restricted as the Google Ads

and the other thing was I knew the power of Google ID so I just kept saying well

if I could just get a product and I can just put it on Google Ads then I know I

can make money but that wasn't the case because the product itself was just a

bad product in general it wasn't something I could put on Amazon it

wasn't really something that I bei wanted you to promote so I was really

limited on my channels and how to drive traffic to the brand in the way that I

wanted in a way that I knew how to drop traffic so um what changed for me we

went out of town and I think we actually went to the casino and my email was

blowing up we couldn't even enjoy ourselves on this

trip because of how much was going on and whatnot so we went on this trip long

story short I was freaking out every time we went to the casino I can't

thinking oh god we need to get back home we need to get back home and it was just

not a fun time and at that point I said you know what I am putting the brakes on

this I was reading some books at the time

and I believe it was the 4-hour workweek by Tim Ferriss

and it just taught me okay there is not any kind of automation process to this

it's not set up the proper way then I'm trying to hire people now I'm trying to

figure out how to manage my time and when you hire people it takes a lot of

your time and a lot of your money so I really wanted to just breathe and that

wasn't what I was used to when I hadn't met a corporate job I had automated the

process where people just shut up and knew what to do and nobody ever asked

all these questions I wasn't constantly realigning myself so I really just took

a moment and from the hiring and the training and the sending and the mailing

and just trying to figure this whole thing out and I had so many streams of

income happening from all these different directions I couldn't keep up

with what I was spending because I was just trying to make it happen instead of

worrying about how much I was spending I was just like okay we've got a mail it

doesn't matter how much I'm spending we just we've got to get this out we'll

figure it out later let your turn to later and then never so

why do I say all of this I'm sure you want to know well this really took a

turn for me when I said okay I have got to come up with a process and here is

the process I've talked about this in a lot of my outsourcing videos but there

is a very simple strategy to this the first step that really helps me get

clarity any time things are going crazy or figuring out I need to start

something or do something new is really to get organized I start out organizing

everything my files my house my car my contacts my email whatever it is I get

completely organized I'll even organize my youtube channel my

Twitter list whatever it is if I think something's going crazy I will organize

that even my ads on the phone believe it or not when you're gonna

you say that so much more time so after you get organized which is the first

step the second step is to eliminate so you can't really eliminate things until

you've put them in the proper place to know if you need them after you've

gotten organized you can go through and figure out okay I need this I don't need

this maybe this is something that I can do later on and prioritize so getting

organized and eliminating has to also do with prioritizing so you're getting the

things are important put up front and eliminating the things that maybe aren't

so important or at least just pushing them off to a lighter date in time after

the third thing is to start automating and I know everybody is so scared of

automating I don't know why you're scared of automating because if you

think about it everybody has this Alexa button now from Amazon and you're saying

okay I just want her to automate everything I heard today on a commercial

they were automating buying coffee it said hey like so put in my normal

Starbucks order to her car and I was thinking okay this is so weird people

don't realize that this stuff is already kind of automated but now they've got

this robotic thing talking for them so yes these things can work in your favor

you just have to figure out what works for you and again when it comes to

automating this systems that work for me may not work for you and someone else's

systems may not work for you but I take bits and pieces from everyone's ideas

and kind of like create my own so look at your competitors look at what other

people are doing that are in your space and what I'm talking about automating

I'm not just talking about automating your business I'm talking

about automating your life when it comes to cleaning your house can you think

about the amount of time you would spend cleaning your house versus the amount of

dollars you could pay someone to clean your house and that's how I start this

process of outsourcing and eliminating and putting things into motion for how I

have honestly like built my business is I've put everyone into a string and they

came from different places but in the end they all end up in the same place so

organize eliminate automate and like I said automate your life automate your

business they all go hand in hand if your time you really need to know I

always ask people how much is your time worth and if you don't know to answer

you honestly need to sit down today and stop and think because I know how much

my time is worth I know how long it's gonna take me to sit down and help

someone set up their YouTube channel go through all their social media set up

their social media accounts help them create their post help them look up

their hashtags help them brand their business go through their colors their

fonts look through their channels look through everything that they're doing

listen to them and give them feedback it takes a lot of work and honestly these

things that I do for people where I find that most people fail is they want to do

one piece and not the other piece to their business or something that they

think is maybe not important so the only way to know that something is important

or not is to be going back in analyzing these things so the last and fourth

final step to my process of how I really broke free and made started making like

serious money in my business had clients calling me like crazy and I mean now

even while I had this live stream I'm totally not trying to look away but my

email is blowing up and it just keeps saying sold sold sold I'm not kidding

because I just started a new product on Amazon and I just could not help but

come on here to talk to you because I'm so excited about how fast this thing is

selling it is crazy how fast this stuff is selling so even till this day I still

sell on Amazon but I sell my own private label product on Amazon so some of

you've heard me talk about it but that's not what we're talking about today so

outsourcing and nobody wants to do this it is a lot of time but it has to be

done if you want to grow you can not be in the same place all the time

and what I have learned is if you plan on answering all of your social media

putting all your posts together creating all of your emails putting all your

videos together for YouTube creating the post looking at the hashtags all the

things that I said it people asked me to do for them it is a lot of work how do

you think I get it done I have one systems and two people in place so

whenever you're trying to figure stuff out it may be video processing maybe

that's not your strong point or maybe you know that your time is better spent

somewhere else so when it comes to outsourcing I look at what can free up

my time and also when you're thinking about outsourcing and automation keep in

mind that there are systems out there even the transcription on my videos so

after I get this video done YouTube does make a transcription but I need the

transcription to put on my blog and I also like to have the transcription to

pull and use for other things I like to read it make sure it's right and if I'm

gonna go through and do all that I might as well do it right and Plus YouTube

kind of determines what you're saying and are you gonna have to go through and

do the work so I outsource the transcription of my video and first I

was doing a human automation so if it's a long transcription I'll use a human

and outsource it but I pay a dollar a minute so that's pretty cool and she

unless you have like a really launching so this one is much longer I'll probably

use another service that's more of an automation or artificial intelligent

service because it's so much cheaper and they have apps for your phone so I could

have been recording this on my phone and already have the transcript to go with

it there's so many options but the only way

that I learned this was because I started to suffer and really want that

time back with my family for my dog to travel and to do all the things that I

love to do so I do not spend all my time on social media and YouTube and Facebook

but I will tell you the time that I do spend I spend it very valuable and I'm

able to do that because I take the time to automate my process and outsource my

weaknesses and really like gain clarity so I want to teach you the same process

that I started and I told you I literally started with nothing I had

this job and it was not really what I wanted at the time just because I was

going to the same thing every day and then I started selling a product and

then that led to the next product and the next product and I learned how to

sound then I learned how to do email marketing and then I learned how to do

social media and it's these relationships that I've built with

people on line and the people that I've met and the customers that I have

created and I'm gonna be really serious with you right now like this is how

serious I am I have an email database of over 500,000 emails I am not kidding

when I tell you that I am a hustler five hundred thousand people over that now

have shown interest in my products and services and it's all because of social

media email marketing and some other little tactics that I've

learned but it comes from trial and error and that's what's allowed me the

freedom to travel the freedom to do these live streams with you and talk to

you and teach you and so I have gotten so many questions about how I do this

how do I automate my email how do I automate my social media and ultimately

how do I automate my selves funnel so tomorrow yes tomorrow I'm so excited

like I have been waiting to tell me all this I was gonna just do the webinar

today but there's so much that I really wanted to share with you it's gonna be

tomorrow because there's a lot of people that really wanted to join and I kind of

email and my social media and my sales funnel and the things that I use to

never thought I could meet influencers brands it is crazy I mean I've been to

Walmart headquarters hanging out with people that never thought that I would

and you can do it too so it all comes from getting organized eliminating

automating and outsourcing and I'm gonna show you how to do it tomorrow in the

How To Build An Affiliate Marketing Funnel In 10 Minutes (Beginner Friendly) - Duration: 9:17.

What is going on guys my name is Anthony Villa welcoming you back to get another

video here on the channel where today guys I'm gonna be showing you how to

build an entire affiliate marketing funnel in just under ten minutes but

that's something you want to do stick around to the end of the video so you

can find out how before we get into that though guys if you're new to the channel

that being said we're gonna dive into my computer right now so I can show you

guys how to build this funnel alright guys in my computer as you can see we

were on clickfunnels comm because that is actually the platform we're going to

be using to build out our funnel but guys if you don't have a clickfunnels

rest of this video you're gonna need that to actually make this funnel with

that being said guys when dive straight into it we're going to the final section

like build funnel of course we're actually doing guys is ready building

the type of funnel we're actually be collecting email addresses and then

sending them to an offer page or just to our Thank You page with that being said

we're gonna scroll down look what we actually want to do is we want to

generate leads for our flight marketing business so to do that what we're gonna

do is we're gonna have a lead magnet funnel like as a course click funnels

has a ton of different types of funnels a ton of different things on here

because the platform is honestly fantastic I use it's all my problem

building all my landing page builders pretty much everything in my online

business I use click funnels for which is why doesn't recommend you guys go

ahead and sign up like I said link in the description and with all that being

said guys we needs a lead magnet funnel because what we're gonna be doing is

we're gonna be giving people an ethical bribe in exchange for their email

address all you have to do is click select funnel they'll bring it in to our

account and the next thing we actually have to do guys is scroll down and then

select a template now we can start designing our funnel and building it out

a little bit so it actually match our niche and our offer we're actually gonna

do guys is look fun let's give you a ton of templates to choose from both paid

and free of course say guys we use a free one or my favorite two rejection

would be Jason lead magnet funnel I'll just click that and then compress get

funnel it'll download into our accounts we actually get started building out our

funnel alright guys the funnel is now in our accounts we can start building and

editing it to actually fit our offer so guys this funnel actually has two sets

and as the lead magnet page we're just gonna be the first page we're just

pretty much opted in a place we can actually

email addresses or our potential customers and next time would have is a

Thank You page guys like I said it's just a two step funnel so it'll be

pretty easy to make I'm gonna go back to the first step and click Edit Page I can

show you guys exactly what we're gonna edit what we're gonna change so it'll

actually fit our niche in our offer guys for the video I'm missing to use an

example offering because of course I don't have one I'm gonna use like a

random health and fitness niche of course I'm not actually promoting any

offer in this video so I'm just gonna edit the page around this example that I

make same thing with the Thank You page it'll all be based around this example

that I'm making right now so we're actually gonna edit a few things on this

landing page I'm not gonna show all of it on video because of course it'll get

pretty boring you just watching me type in delete things with that being said

though I'm gonna show you exactly what we're gonna edit first how to do it and

then I'll come back to you guys after I did it okay so some of the things we're

actually gonna do on this page or edit some of the text on the top out of the

text down here and of course we're gonna change this picture because we don't

want that guy staring at the entire time I got so of course we need to start

editing editing and clickfunnels is extremely easy and they make it super

super simple the platform is fantastic so the first thing at the top of the

page is where we actually edit this text so to do that we're gonna click once

click twice actually get in there and then we're some delete all this we're

gonna change it around alright guys now we edited that top text I just put

attention get this free ebook or 48 hours only of course guys it's just an

example I'm actually proning anything next thing we're gonna do is actually

gonna change this picture because like I said can I have that guy staring at the

entire time so did I just click on him once this little pull out my new popped

up so I could change the image we're gonna go over here to image and right

here we're gonna click this little icon or press that usual bunch of other

pictures are uploaded into clickfunnels over time but that's actually the ebook

cover we're gonna use double click that and now the ebook cover is right there

guys that was super simple all we had to do was upload that next time we gonna do

is pretty much edit all of the text on this page and like I said I'm actually

in doing off video because watching me type is gonna be a boring video with

that being said I'll be our bad guys hi guys I'm back and all I really did was

change some of the text around to actually fit our offer into our niche

that way to actually all make sense all congruent last thing I'm actually gonna

do I wanted to do on a video I just wanted to edit this now guys this

actually isn't is in text there's actually a picture so I'm just gonna get

rid of this completely and to do that we're gonna hover over it come over to

this little garbage can icon press delete press okay

and then it is gone guys I just want to edit this a little bit more because

there's a ton of space and with like above and below the number one we lost

recipes so to actually edit that we're gonna hover over it really fast I'm

gonna click this little cog Settings icon

what we're gonna do is we're gonna come to this setting over here it says top

margin we're actually gonna do is we're gonna take this slider and bring it all

the way down to zero so guys is actually that actually brings it up a little bit

but there's still a lot of space underneath it so it actually change that

we're actually have to come down to this little dotted line and edit this

actually instead same thing guys go to settings go to top margin and this pull

this down we're gonna pull it all the way down to I could have five five looks

good so we leave that out of five and this is pretty much the first step of

the funnel done guys this is the opt-in part this is the landing page pretty

much completely done last thing we actually need to do on this landing page

is actually edit the pop-up because when people actually press this button down

here that says yes show me the recipe it'll actually promptly pop up on this

page to open but edit that all you have to is go over to pop up press show pop

up of course and then it'll actually show it to you and the same thing the

same way edited text and all the pictures on the first page is the same

way you're actually edit it on the pop-up I'm actually go ahead and edit

this off-camera because the guys again watching me type things as a boring

video I'll be right back alright guys I'm back again I just edited the text I

uploaded this picture instead of that guy again and then edit checks down here

change that to send me the recipes that is pretty much the pop-up done looks

pretty much the same as the landing page that's important to keep everything

congruent keep everything the same you don't want to add random stuff and

actually throw the consumer off when I keep it all congruent with that being

said guys the pop-up is done you can go ahead and exit out guys the first part

of the funnel is completely done now the landing page part is completely set up

so now we're actually ready to go onto the next step which is gonna be the

Thank You page let's go ahead and do that now gonna press save now actually

go back press exit or actually and ooh now guys like I said go over and press

the Thank You page and we want to edit that now next these guys that course

that's gonna be the second step the last step of our funnel gonna go ahead and

press edit page it'll do the same thing it'll open up the editor and of course

now we are ready to edit this guy's this page always has a ton of text most of

doesn't even make any sense it just kind of like placeholder text so I'm actually

go ahead and edit this page again off camera guys

because I already showed you how to add a text and edit pictures it's gonna be

the same exact way on this page all you have to do is change the text to fit

your offer for your niche whatever it is you're actually doing I'm gonna do that

now I don't be right back I'm gonna do it off camera like I said alright guys

I'm back for the last time because of course I just finished editing the Thank

You page and this is pretty much the final completed product I got rid of

some text I added some stuff I course edited pretty much everything on this

page actually fit our offer and our niche of course guys the only thing

other thing that I changed that you really can't see initially is this

button down here I didn't edit this button yet because I actually wanted to

edit it on camera for you guys what you want to do is you want to click this and

yeah this is a button that when people click it this will actually send them to

your affiliate offer you're actually promoting what you wanna do is you're

gonna come over here to watch as edit action press set action and then what

you want to do is you have a few things you can do with it what what you want to

do is press go to website URL I just put my my my website address in here because

again guys not actually promoting a product say but when you're doing this

yourself you can actually take the photo for your

proning you know the landing page for the a photo offer actually put that link

in here that way when people press the button it'll actually bring them

directly to your photo for now you can potentially make some sales and make

some money of course you also want to change the button text so it doesn't say

cool blue button cuz you win a text so it says something that actually fits

your offer or your niche so for my example I'm gonna put get more diet tips

here and then move people press the button and allow me to bring them to

some sort of like health or weight loss affiliate offer with that being said

they're guys that's pretty much the entire the entire thing done that pretty

much wraps up everything you guys guys we completed our opt-in page we

completed our Thank You page our frontal is not completely done all you have to

do is press save and go back to see our completed funnel

alright guys so like I said that I step 1 and step 2 done so that is our flow

your marketing funnel completely finished and that is exactly how to set

up an affiliate marketing funnel in just under 10 minutes time with that being

said guys last thing you we need to do its are generating traffic and start

sending people to the opt-in page and through this funnel that we can actually

generate income sales but guys that's pretty much the video wrapped up so if

7. Building a Super Simple Dashboard - Duration: 21:16.

Welcome to the final video in this tutorial and the module. Okay. so in this

video we're going to build our very first Power BI dashboard, so in order to

do that what we need to do first is actually save the data export that we

created here. So I'm just going to go: file, save, enable saving and I'm actually

going to save it as a file on my desktop so it'll be easy to find.

So: desktop, save. Okay, perfect. What we need to do then is we need to

open up Power BI, so please go ahead and do that and we should see this screen

pop up so we can either get data here or get data here. That's going to be our

first step. We're going to import our excel file, so I'm just going to click on

'get data' and then this window is going to pop up. So I'm going to select Excel,

connect. I'm going to go to my desktop and I'm going to double-click my Super

Simple Survey Excel export. Great! Then it shows me what's inside the Excel

workbook, so I'm going to select forms and load. So it's going to load my forms

and there we go. So here inside the fields pane I can see hey I got one

query called forms with the following column names, it just automatically identified that.

Here in visualizations we can start creating a number of different

visualizations, so let's go ahead and do that.

Let's start with the simplest visualization possible and that is this

one, it's called 'Card', so let's select it and it will show up here. And so the

simplest visualization that we can do is: I want to know that

number of people that I've interviewed, and in this case obviously it's test

data so I didn't actually interview anyone I just entered a bunch of random

names, but still I want to know how many names are in my system. So we could

either do that by selecting the name column or, even better, we can do it using

the form ID column. So I can just drag this form ID into fields and then it's

going to automatically show me the very first form ID, but that's not much use to

me so I'm going to just click on first form ID on the little arrow here and I'm

going to select count or alternatively count distinct which would be even

better which means it's going to count the number of unique form IDs and since

all of my form IDs are unique it shouldn't matter whether I select count

or count distinct. And there we go! So I know that I have eight forms in my data

set. In other words I have eight people that I interviewed, so instead of having

this count of form ID label here I'm going to change this. I want to know the

total number of respondents, that's what I wanted to say. So in order to do that

I'm going to click on this little button here which is my format pane and I'm

going to turn off this category label selection and then I'm going to turn on

this title selection and I'm going to expand that by clicking on this little

arrow and then we can choose the title text, so my title text is going to be

"total number of respondents". Perfect! But it's a bit small for me and it's not

centered so I'm going to center it and then I'm going to increase the size to

15 to make it a proper title and then increase this. I've also moved this box

to the top left because we always want to try and make the most use of the

space that we have on our dashboard. Great! So there you go that's our first

visualization and as you enter more data, it could be test data or real data, and you

export your file again, this number will also automatically change. So what could

be the next step the next visualization, well how about the number of pets. So if

I drag over and make wider my fields pane I could see the different columns

that I have. So remember I have date of birth, whether or not they own any pets, their

name, where they would most like to visit. So let's use this: "Do you own any pets

one?", and that's a yes/no question so you know a perfect visualization for yes/no

questions is the pie chart, so I'm just going to click in the blank space here

to make sure I'm not selecting any of my visualizations and then I'm going to

insert the pie chart but just simply clicking on it. Again I'm going to move

it around a bit that's fine and then here we see the different fields that

are available to us. So we have the legend, we have the details with the

values and then we have the tool tips. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to put

the form ID into the values because I want to count how many instances I have

and then in the legend I'm going to put "How many pets do you own?". No, sorry I'm

going to put "Do you own any pets?" and there we go it looks like about 3/4 do

own pets and if we hover over the yes portion of this pie chart, we can see

that six of our submitted forms have responded "Yes" and that's 75% and two

have responded "No" which equals 25%. Great! So this title isn't very nice so again

I'm going to go to the format. I can then click on the format button and then in

title I'm going to expand this and I'm going to just simply write out the

question, so: "Do you own any pets?" Great! And again

I'm going to center it and make this 15. There! That's looking nicer already. Okay,

so what other columns do we have here, what other questions do we ask? Well

how about the name and date of birth, maybe I just want to display this like I

would in a regular Excel sheet, so the way we do that is by selecting a table.

So I'm going to insert the table, I'm going to make it a little bit bigger so

it reaches the bottom and I'm going to drag in the name and the date of birth.

Okay, great! So I have my name and then I have this yea,r quarter, month. Well that's

a bit strange because I'm not really interested in what quarter they're born

in I just wanted to display the date so we can really easily change that here. So

as you can see we have form dot date of birth with the year, quarter, month and

day and if I again click on this little arrow I can say hey I don't want this

date hierarchy I just wanted to display date of birth. Perfect! Okay, so we have

our little table now. Another visualization that we can enter is maybe

a bar chart showing how many pets each person owns, so let's select this very

first visualization. Again, I'm going to click in the blank space first and then

on the first visualization I'm going to make this nice and big, nice and long, so

we can properly see what's going on and so what I want to see is I want to see

the name stand by the axis and then the values, i.e. the number of pets, along the

x axis. So let's put name on the axis and then I'm going to put "How many pets do

you own?" in the value and now something interesting is going on. We see zero to

one and so it seems like everybody only owns

one pet, but we know that's not true we know they actually own, you know some

own one sure, but others might own three or even twelve. Okay, so let's see what's

going on here, we need to go to our query editor. So I'm going to go to my query

editor by clicking on this button here 'edit queries' and there we go we're

inside a query editor we can see all the different columns that are selected and

here we can see all the different query steps. So if we click on these individual

steps we can see okay we identify the source first, then we went into

navigation. We, in the navigation steps the column headers are not yet

identified as such so it automatically promoted the headers and

then it went and changed all the types so if we go back to the promoted header

step we can see hey, you know, none of these data types have yet been defined

but when we go here at the change type we can see, okay, it's recognized form ID

as a text column, it's recognized date of birth as a date column and then here "How

many pets do you have?" it's recognized as a text column and why is that? That is

because we have these null values but they're not really no values in Commcare

they're exported as three dashes so we need to change those dashes into null

values and change the data type into numeric, so let's do that. I've selected the how

many pets do you own column and I'm going to go to transform, replace values

then in the value to find I'm going to enter three dashes and replace with 'null'.

So null in Power BI is a special value. It's not zero but it means, it tells our

dashboard that there is just no value in that cell.

Let's press OK. All right, nice. And we can see that null is a special value

because it's italicized and then here this ABC we're

going to change it to a whole number. Great! So let's press home, close and

apply. Okay, so nothing much has changed yet although two of the names disappeared.

Reply no. And that is because in the value it's still registered as

count of how many pets you own and we just want that to be the sum and there

we go. Now we have a table or a graph that makes sense.

Okay, so again I'm going to change the title here by clicking on the pen

formatter. I'm also going to turn on data labels to show me quickly like okay

that's how many pets everybody owns. Then I'm going to change the title, so it's

going to say "How many pets do you own?"

center it, 15 and there we go. Okay, so what are some other visualizations that we

can put in here. How about a map visualization? So we can insert the map

visualization by clicking on this button here map again I clicked in the blank

space and then I'm going to select map I'm just going to put that down here.

Make it a bit bigger and now we can enter some, sorry just click on it, so now we

can enter all of these values, all of these fields are linked to this map

visualization. So what is the first one? It's location so for us that is where

would you most like to visit, so let's drag and drop that in there. ah! So now we

see for each country a little blip showing up. That's great.

But we also want to know for each country, we want to change the size of

the bubble to reflect the number of people that want to go to that country.

So for value precise, I'm going to insert form ID again and there we go! So two

people want to go to Japan, two want to go to Brazil, two to the US and one to

Kenya and same for India. Great and again like for you it might be different and

that is because you might have responded differently when testing the application.

Then I want to add a bit of color to this map so in the legend I'm going to

put the same one again, "Where would you most like to visit?" and then we have the

different colours. Great! So let's make it a bit prettier by clicking on the format

button and I'm just going to open up the legend tab here and I'm going to

remove the title. Okay, so now it's just Brazil, Japan, USA, India, Kenya.

I'm going to make it a little bit bigger so maybe 10 and then again the title with

the question "Where would you most like to visit?" or "Where would you most like to

go on holiday?"

Great! And again I'm going to center it make it 15.

And another thing we could do is turn on the category labels so now it shows us

which country each of these is. So a final graph that we can put in here is

maybe a scatterplot, so that's when we want to compare two numeric variables.

So, one thing we can do is we can plot the age against the number of pets to see if

there's a relationship. As people get older do they start accumulating more

pets or is this just a myth, so there's one problem we only have one you know

numeric variable in our inner set we also have this number but that is just

the row number so that doesn't mean anything and so we need to create

another number, we need to basically create an age number. So how do we do

that? Well we go back to our query editor, so I'm going to click on edit queries

and what we're going to do is we're going to add a column. So here we have

the date of birth column and when I've clicked on the add column tab, I can

create a new column that extracts only the year so let's just extract the year

from this date of birth column. So again I went date and then I selected year, and

there we go! So this is their birth year and if I want to now calculate the

age what I simply do is I create a custom column I'm going to call it age

and then we'll say it's the year, so that's the birth year, no sorry so we say

2017 - the birth year, right? And obviously there's a way to do this more

dynamically, I mean we can enter a formula here which automatically tells

us what the year is now but you know for the purposes of this demonstration, let's

keep it simple. I just say okay 2017 - the year is going to give me the age and

there we go: twenty nine, thirty eight, twenty eight,

Great! One last thing we need to do is change the data type here, so we're going

to change it to a whole number and now we'll be able to use it in our query.

Let's go to home, close and apply. Great! So again I'm going to click on the blank

space and I'm going to enter this one, this visualization with all the bubbles

which is our scatter chart. Great, I'm going to enlarge it a bit and again it

shows us the values that we can enter. So what are we going to enter first? I mean,

so we have the x-axis and y-axis right? So one of those is going to be "How many

pets do they own?" and the other is going to be age, so let's put age in the x-axis,

and then let's put how many pets that you own in the y-axis.

Alright, great! However, we get only one point and then 30, 20 to 30, on the y-axis

and something like 300 on the x-axis. so what's going on here? Well first of all,

we don't want to know the the sum values we want to know the average

values. Okay, so this makes a bit more sense, right? So the average number of

pets is 4.3, the average age is about 36 but still this isn't quite what we want.

So up here we have the details at tab and this is where we're going to put our

form ID because that's the level of detail we want, we want every single

person to be represented here. So here 12 pets that's clearly Omar Sy, and here the

oldest person with two pets, that might be Mary or Nastio. Okay, and one more

thing that we want to do here now is we want to add a trendline to see well what

is the relationship and we can do that here in this third tab: analytics. So

let's click it and then first option is a trendline we're going

to add it and there we go. So a very weak trend between the number of pets owned

and age. Okay, great! So another thing I see here is that you know this y-axis

has a bit of an ugly name and so we can change that by simply coming here and

this is how many pets you own, right click and I click on rename. So I'm going

to make this nice: "How many pets do you own?" and there we go it's changed it.

And again let's change the title of this scatter plot by clicking on title,

selecting the title, deleting it and then we'll say "pets owned versus age".

Again, I'm going to center it and make it 15. Great! And so we've set up our first

dashboard. Here I'm going to quickly change the name of this tab by double

clicking it and I'll say Super Simple Dashboard.

Excellent! So that's it and feel free to click around on your new dashboard, so if

I click on, you know, the the different pie charts is going to update all the

other graphs so if I'm only interested in people that do have pets I can see

that it was six people. Here are their names and then our, you know, where would

you most like to visit map will also update accordingly. If I click on one of

the individual names, for example, I could see like which country did they want to

go to, did they answer yes or no and some more details. So that's pretty much it
