- Today in military history, 1778,

France formally recognizes the young United States

and pledges aid against Great Britain.

Two treaties were signed that day.

In the Treaty of Amity and Commerce,

France formally recognized the US as an independent entity,

and trade was encouraged between the two countries.

In the Treaty of Alliance, France pledged military aid

in America's revolution, and the US supported

France's goal to conquer the British West Indies,

not a great day for the UK.

As early as 1774, there had been secret emissaries

between France and the American colonists.

In the spring of 1776, the Continental Congress dispatched

a diplomatic envoy, including Benjamin Franklin, Silas Dean,

and Arthur Lee to secure French support.

The news of America's victory at Saratoga

reached Paris in December of 1777

and the Franco-American treaties were rapidly concluded.

They provided the aid and naval fleets

that would prove critical in the defeat of the British

at Yorktown nearly three years later.

Over the last several weeks, the walls have been closing in around Barack Obama and the

rest of his liberal minions in Washington D.C., as more evidence is revealed to the

public concerning the criminal acts committed under his watch.

It is apparent that the pressure is getting to the Obama family as Michelle has distanced

herself from her corrupt husband by taking long vacations overseas alone.

A damning video has emerged that could be all the evidence President Trump needed to

put both Barack and Michelle Obama behind bars for a long time, and there is nothing

they can do about it.

Over the last two Presidential terms, the American people have had to sit and watch

as Barack Obama made a mockery of the constitution and our nation's laws.

For too long Obama was able to get away with numerous crimes, and we as conservatives began

to feel hopeless.

However, that all changed the moment that Donald Trump stepped on the scene, breathing

new life into our country and promising that those who were corrupt would face dire consequences.

The left scoffed at the very prospect of a Trump presidency, but to be safe, they began

to craft a devious plan to protect the criminal elite hiding in D.C., knowing that Trump would

come after them all.

After Trump won the presidential election, the left sprung into action ready with their

plan to protect their own including Barack Obama and of course, Hillary Clinton.

Trump is not anyone's fool and was well aware that when he stepped foot into the White

House.

Trump knew the White House would be teeming with swamp creatures poised and ready to attack.

Trump bided his time and made sure he chose wisely on who to allow into his inner circle,

and one man who made the cut was Inspector General Michael Horowitz.

Horowitz is what you would call a police departments "internal affairs" field, where he investigates

the FBI and DOJ to ensure that all are playing by the same rules and held to the same standard

of integrity as everyone else.

Also, it is important to note that Horowitz was not a fan of the Obama administration

after witnessing the despicable crimes that these leftist rats thought they got away with,

such as the Hillary Clinton email scandal.

The Inspector General conducted a sting operation last year into the corrupt FBI and DOJ and

what he found was astounding.

In fact, the Hillary email scandal and the Russian-collusion false narrative is just

the beginning of the horrific crimes that occurred under the Obama administration.

The FISA memo is mere child's play compared to the rest of crimes Obama and his minions

committed, which brings us to the damning video.

Rep. Steve King recently found an interview with Barack Obama in April 2016, where he

"guarantees" to the American people that there was no corruption occurring in the FBI

and DOJ.

Well, that is funny since the FISA memo states that members of Obama's administration signed

off on warrants to wiretap Trump based on false information.

It was not just false information, but it was information that was manufactured all

lies in a fake Russian scandal in an attempt to impeach Trump if he did get elected.

Of course, you know this is driving Obama and Michelle crazy since they see the writing

on the wall.

The Obama's still have some friends left in D.C., and the word on the street is that

there will be an inditement for Barack coming at the end of March.

Now, here is where some could say is just a coincidence, but I don't believe in coincidences

and neither should you.

According to recent reports, Barack Obama is planning on taking his corrupt tail to

New Zealand in March to celebrate the opening of Air New Zealand's new route to the U.S.

Here is more from New Zealand Herald:

"Former US President Barack Obama will finally go ahead with his promise to visit New Zealand

on a trip in March.

The Herald on Sunday understands Obama will visit on about March 21 arranged by Air New

Zealand.

It is understood the contract is due to be finalised and the visit announced next week.

The reason for the visit is unknown but there has been speculation Air NZ is about to launch

a new route to the United States, likely Chicago which is Obama's hometown.

Former Prime Minister Sir John Key is now on the Air NZ board and will have been instrumental

in securing the high-level visit due to his relationship with Obama when the two were

leaders.

Key and Obama played golf together in Hawaii in 2014 and it is understood a rematch is

on the agenda for Obama's New Zealand visit – likely in Key's favorite spot of Queenstown.

The visit will likely carry a stiff price tag for Air NZ.

According to US media, Obama was securing about $400,000 in speaking fees alone in the

United States."

Of course, no one is talking about this in the mainstream media, and why would they?

If they did, that would mean these talking heads would have to investigate the corruption

in our government, and that is the last thing that they want to do.

If anyone took the time to look at this closer, they would see that Barack Obama and all those

surrounding him are running out of time, and they know they will all go down with him.

It is evident that this is the reason why Barack Obama is getting out of town as he

tries to weasel his way out of this mess like he has some many times before.

However, Obama and his swamp creature friends can scurry and attempt to hide, but eventually,

the truth will catch up to them all, and every one of them will be sitting behind bars for

a very long time.

The winter Olympics in Pyeongchang is happening soon, but not without a situation that has

people freaking out!

Our most talented athletes will travel to South Korea in the hopes to bring home a gold

medal.

These athletes have been training for years for this fantastic opportunity to compete

on this world stage, but now those dreams may be crushed after what nasty situation

was just discovered.

In just the last few hours before the games are set to begin a frightening threat has

crept upon the Olympians that have already taken out 1200 security guards leaving our

athletes in danger.

Now many people are wondering if the games will even go on as planned or will they have

to get our athletes out of there before the worst case scenario happens.

The preparations for the winter Olympics are almost complete for the first ever games hosted

in Asia outside of Japan.

Of course, this is a huge deal for the South Koreans who are doing their best to roll out

the red carpet for the talented athletes visiting their country.

Government officials have everything in place from cozy accommodations to safe transportation

to and from the events scattered across the region.

However, with all their careful planning they could not foresee an impending danger set

to threaten the world event and those who compete in the games.

As the officials braced for freezing temperatures on Friday night for the opening ceremony,

they were also contending with the highly contagious norovirus outbreak that has already

sidelined 1200 security personnel.

The norovirus that causes vomiting and stomach cramps among other symptoms has not only taken

out security guards but other athletes from different countries forcing them to miss competitions.

How can security work or athletes perform if they're vomiting and suffering from symptoms

of norovirus?

Olympic Games chief Lee Hee-beom sensing the panic sweeping the games announced on Tuesday

in an attempt to calm the fears of everyone competing in the games."We are fully operational

with many of our athletes and officials here and settling into their life in the villages

and training is underway at all venues," Lee told a news conference.

Lee then continued to apologize for the contagious virus, but in all honesty what could he do

to stop it?

"As a president of POCOG (organizing committee), I would like to apologize for this," Lee

said.

"Our disease control center other related government agencies here are now discussing

countermeasures and will come up with proper measures and will be announced soon."

The IOC said leaflets about the virus with instructions on what to do were being distributed.

"That is the first thing but you will have also hand sanitizers," Olympic Games Executive

Director Christophe Dubi told reporters.

"All areas are getting disinfected.

They (organizers) will be extremely diligent to sanitize anything that came into contact

with the persons.

Very stringent measures are in place when it comes to food and beverage."

Lee said this would have no effect on security arrangements at the Games, held about 80 kilometers

south of the border to North Korea, with whom South Korea is still technically at war since

1953.

The cold weather, however, could be an issue for organizers with the opening ceremony in

the open-air Olympic stadium expected to be freezing.

Temperatures are currently below freezing throughout the day, dropping to as low as

minus 21 degrees Celsius at night.

Lee said some fans will not attend the opening ceremony despite having bought tickets, while

some competitions could be affected.

"Some have canceled their ticket for the opening ceremony," Lee said.

"Regarding the potential of the delay due to the weather, the International Olympic

Committee and the international federation have strict rules, for example, ski jumping

cannot take place if there's a strong wind.

"We are now installing windscreens at the venue.

Despite our efforts and if there is a strong wind, the event can be delayed but the decision

won't be made by me, it will be made by IOC and the federation."

Lee said a special bag with hot packs, seat warmers, a blanket, a hat and a windbreaker

would be distributed to spectators in an effort to keep them warm at the start of what could

turn out to be the coldest winter Olympics in decades.

Anytime we travel there is the risk of contracting a sickness.

When it happens during a once and a lifetime event like the Olympics, then it can be devastating.

Our athletes and others have trained for years for the chance to compete and now to be ripped

away due to a nasty virus.

We can hope that no one contracts this illness.

Let's cross our fingers and hope that the nasty virus is cleared up quickly and doesn't

extend the location that it's affecting.

Hopefully, no one brings it home with them and they're all healthy enough to perform

their duties in security and athletics.

According to one Senator, president Donald Trump was forced to speak negatively about

Russia by the deep state.

Trump's brief mention of Russia in his State of the Union address means he doesn't want

a confrontation, but he also wants to "placate the hawks," said Senator Richard Black from

Virginia.

Senator Black said he believes that Russia as well as China receiving only one mention

in the 90-minute address is not a coincidence.

Black argued that president "Trump was forced to refer to China and Russia in negative terms,

but he moved on quickly."

Most of the mainstream media immediately jumped to accuse Trump of being too soft on Moscow

in comparison to his predecessor, Barack Obama, who went on a sanctions crusade against Russia

late in his term.

Black said that while Trump may not give up on his intention to improve relations with

Moscow, it was impossible to make any forward progress thanks to a "deep state" that

"conspired to drive a wedge between us."

According to RT, by initiating a probe into "concocted allegations of Russia collusion"between

Moscow and the Trump campaign team, led by special councilor Robert Muller, "they blocked

President Trump from moving closer to Russia, as he wanted to do," Black argued.

"I do not believe he personally wants to raise tensions with either Russia or China,"

the senator said, adding that the decision by the White House to hold off on sanctions

against Russia under the Countering America's Adversaries Through Sanctions Act [CAATSA]

have "angered the War Hawks."

This decision has also upset the mainstream media (the US's propaganda arm as well.)

According to Black, Trump succumbed to pressure from the war hawks in the deep state too.

This was evident when he announced the US would be beefing up the US military presence

in Afghanistan in August.

"Trump was reportedly angered by his staff's recommendation to expand the war by sending

4,000 additional troops.

But the war hawks prevailed and we continue to waste men and treasure on that ill-fated

venture," Black said.

Contrary to US leader's assurance that "in the end, we will win" in a protracted Afghan

war, the Senator said he believes that "over time, the US is unlikely to experience any

greater success" than the British Empire and the Soviet Union, which were both stuck

in Afghanistan for years.

THE UNITED States has taken aim at North Korea, Russia and China and accused the countries

of growing their nuclear stockpiles while "pursuing the development of new nuclear

capabilities to threaten other peaceful nations".

US disarmament ambassador Robert Wood, addressing the UN-sponsored Conference on Disarmament

in Geneva, refused to mince his words as he hit out at Washington's nuclear rivals and

issued a terrifying warning and North Korea's increasingly sophisticated weapons programme.

He said: "Russia, China and North Korea are growing their stockpiles, increasing the prominence

of nuclear weapons in their security strategies, and - in some cases - pursuing the development

of new nuclear capabilities to threaten other peaceful nations."

He then warned Pyongyang "may now be only months away from the capability to strike

the US with nuclear-armed ballistic missiles".

The only way to address the "urgent and unpredictable threat to the United States,

its allies and partners" posed by North Korea is, according to Mr Wood, to ensure

the hermit state's nuclear programme is "completely, verifiably and irreversibly

eliminated".

In response, North Korea accused the US of seeking to aggravate the delicate situation

on the Korean peninsula by "deploying large nuclear assets" nearby.

Pyongyang diplomat Ju Yong Chol said the scale of the US military enforcements shows "they

are designed to make a preemptive strike against the DPRK [Democratic People's Republic of

Korea]."

Ju said: "US officials including the defence secretary and the CIA director repeatedly

talked about DPRK nuclear and missile threat to justify their argument for a military option

and a new concept of a so-called 'bloody nose', a limited pre-emptive strike on the DPRK is

under consideration within the US administration."

North Korea launched a series of ballistic missiles in 2017 as well as carrying out its

biggest-ever nuclear test, prompting fears across the globe about the Kim regime's

ability to attack the international community.

Estimates on the size of North Korea's arsenal vary but it is likely to be dwarfed by the

weapons caches of its rivals.

The US has 450 silo-based Minuteman III missiles, while Russia has 369 missiles based in silos

or mobile launchers.

China, meanwhile, has between 55 and 65 missiles deployed in an underground tunnel network.

Last month Pyongyang warned the US it has a "powerful and reliable" nuclear deterrent

to thwart any attack from its enemies.

Han Tae Song, North Korea's Ambassador to the UN, told the Conference on Disarmament

that last year's nuclear test allowed his country to "perfect a national nuclear force"

in a transparent manner.

"Thus DPRK [North Korea] at last came to possess a powerful and reliable war deterrent," he

told the Geneva forum.

"I am proudly saying that DPRK's nuclear force is capable of frustrating and countering any

nuclear threats from the US and it constitutes a powerful deterrent that prevents the US

from starting an adventurous war."

He went on to add that as a "responsible nuclear power", North Korea would not use its nuclear

weapons unless foreign states violated its sovereignty or interests.

In response, US disarmament ambassador Mr Wood said Washington would never recognise

the secretive country as a nuclear power and told Pyongyang exactly what it must to to

be welcomed back to the international community.

He said: "The United States will not recognise North Korea as a nuclear weapon state.

"If the North wishes to return and be in the good graces of the international community,

it knows what it has to do, it has to take steps toward denuclearisation of the Korean

peninsula."

In an earlier speech on Tuesday, United Nations disarmament official Izumi Nakamitsu welcomed

an easing of tensions between North and South Korea but called for further steps towards

removing nuclear weapons from the divided peninsula.

The U.S. and North Korea have once again traded aggressive barbs,... accusing each other of

ratcheting up tensions on the Korean Peninsula.

The two sides exchanged verbal blows in Geneva,... with the U.S. representative saying the regime

might be able to hit the mainland United States with a nuclear-tipped missile within months.

"North Korea is only months away from obtaining the capability to hit U.S. territory with

a nuclear weapon".

Robert Wood, the U.S. Permanent Representative to the Conference on Disarmament,... who was

especially vocal at the conference,... called North Korea's peaceful actions before the

PyeongChang Winter Olympics, nothing more than an act, stressing that the situation

on the Korean Peninsula remains as volatile as ever.

"The situation has on the Korean Peninsula has not changed.

The regime continues to work on its ballistic missiles and nuclear programs.

What I would call 'charm offensive' franking is fooling no one."

Ju Yong-chol, the North Korean diplomat at the conference, didn't shy away from accusing

the U.S. of using the North's missile and nuclear programs as an excuse for a possible

pre-emptive strike on the regime.

" U.S. officials, including Defense Secretary and the CIA Director repeatedly talked about

the DPRK nuclear and missile threat to justify their argument for military option and a new

concept of so-called 'bloody nose' limited pre-emptive strike on the DPRK is under consideration

within the U.S. administration.

Elsewhere,... with the U.S. recently issuing its 2018 Nuclear Posture Review, China's Foreign

Ministry stated that Washington is hanging on to its Cold War mentality,... and that

policy deviates from peace and development.

Referring to the fact that the U.S. has the world's biggest and most advanced nuclear

arsenal,...

Beijing's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Geng Shuang added,... the U.S. move to increase

its nuclear power would lead to a global strategic imbalance.

With the Winter Games in South Korea just a couple of days away,... many wonder if the

latest verbal tit-for-tat between the U.S. and North Korea will negatively impact the

South's goal of holding a 'Peace Olympics'.

NORTH Korea has warned the US will strike first as fears escalate over World War 3.

The US today accused Russia, China and North Korea of expanding their nuclear weapon programmes

to "threaten other peaceful nations".

American disarmament envoy Robert Wood warned Kim Jong-un's weapons must be "completely,

verifiably and irreversibly eliminated".

He told the UN: "Russia, China and North Korea are growing their stockpiles, increasing

the prominence of nuclear weapons in their security strategies, and - in some cases - pursuing

the development of new nuclear capabilities to threaten other peaceful nations."

Wood warned that North Korea is just "months away" from being capable of striking the

US.

North Korea has since hit back and accused the US of preparing for a "pre-emptive strike

against the Democratic People's Republic of Korea".

The tyrant carried out a series of missile and nuclear tests last year and has escalated

international tensions.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has also stoked fears after carrying out massive military

drills across eastern Europe.

Russia has also deployed nuclear missiles right on its frontier with Europe in Kaliningrad.

In China, nuclear submarines with "enormous power of destruction" are being installed

with AI systems with their "own thoughts", a researcher has claimed.

DONALD Trump's furious tirade over North Korea's nukes has given Kim Jong-un exactly

what he wanted, an expert has claimed.

Loretta Napoleoni, author of 'North Korea: The country we love to hate', said the US

President's response to the tyrant's missile and nuclear tests was exactly what Kim wanted.

She said The Donald single-handedly gave the rogue nation all the media attention it needed

to appear stronger than it actually is.

Speaking to Express.co.uk, Ms Napoleon added: "Had it still been Obama in charge they

would have played a different card because Obama was a different kind of individual.

"Trump was perfect.

He responded to their rhetoric and therefore also the media coverage was superb.

"They would not have got the same coverage if they had done this with Obama."

The expert added, Kim's plan was to get everyone in the world to understand how powerful

the secretive state's nuclear arsenal is.

She claims the tubster's position was strengthened as people believe Pyongyang could fire a nuke

at any moment.

Ms Napoleoni added: "The objective of North Korea is to be left alone, to be in a position

whereby nobody can dare attack them and there can never be another conflict like the Korean

War or the Japanese invasion.

"That is the objective and why becoming a nuclear power became paramount because of

course a nuclear power is untouchable.

"That is their objective, and they've got there.

"It is clear that 2017 is the year they decided to show the world that they are a

nuclear power."
