Auto news on Youtube Feb 6 2018

Hey guys, welcome back to my channel! My name is Corrie. Today we are gonna be

asking ourselves "how many years of blush do I have in my makeup collection?"

I've done a couple other videos like this on things like foundation and highlighter.

You can check them out right up here. For now let's talk blush.

Let's go through all the blush products in my collection.

First we have the Too Faced Love Flush blush. This is in Baby Love.

It's an adorable, really soft and natural-looking pink color.

It almost looks underwhelming on the skin, it's just that natural.

Really pretty. This pan is quite large it is 6g of product.

Next I have this Make Up Forever blush. This is in number 99 and it's just a

really pretty red blush. This is a 2.5g pot and it's really just

like a really pinky, red. I actually got this one when I had red hair and I would

add a little bit of this red powder to my brown eyebrow powder just to make it

match my hair a little bit better.

If you shop at Sephora and you were a VIB member a last year you probably own

this guy, as well. This is the Amazonian Clay 12-hour blush in paaarty. This is a

1.5g... I think it's a double sample? and I tried to de-pan it, so it's got a

big dent in it. This is the color. It's very pretty, kind of similar to be

Too Faced Love Flush but I would say the Love Flush is a little bit more peach

in tone, where this is more of a true pink.

I have this beautiful blush, this is from Milani

and you can see it's pressed into the shape of a rose. True pink blush. This is

in the shade 08 Tea Rose and it's a huge 17g pot. 17 grams in this

thing.. oh my god! Really, really pretty. Really generous size. Really great price.

Next I have a Tarte cheek stain. This is the Tarte Blushing Bride cheeks stain.

This is a 14.2g product.

Absolutely huge and the

color is just a really beautiful, bright pink. Definitely the brightest,

loudest, true pink. It's a really weird texture.

It's kind of sticky feeling so it's best when you're going for a natural look,

when you're not wearing maybe base foundation because it it kind of pulls

your foundation off. I also have two Sephora gel blushes. This Blush Me shade

in All Smiles #1 and this is a 3.5g jar. This is just a really

loud coral, very beautiful color. And I also have Young Love #4. These are

really cheap on Sephora's website and they last beautifully all day. They're

not sticky and gross feeling like Tarte one, which is a little more uncomfortable

to wear. These go on great over foundation, they were beautifully all day

and like I said they're super cheap. I'd highly recommend if you're looking for a

cream blush to check them out. One other little blush product here... this is

the Sephora Colorful Cheek Gel Ink and this is in the color Peony. This is

a little sample. It comes out quite bright but it really blends out to a

really natural, again really cool toned flush. Looks great on pale skin which I

find that really pale pink blushes kind of a hard time showing up on my skin, so

this is great. I really love it and I've done a wear test on it as well.

That's my beautiful blush collection but wait there's actually more... unfortunately.

I was really bad on Christmas last year and I got one of

those Big Blush Books from Tarte right before the Tart scandal went down so

I've got all these products to use up. but this was the Vol III Tarte Blush Book.

I also got the NARS Goulue VIB blush, as well. Here are 7 pans...

and these are 0.2oz. This one which is 0.5oz.

but Goulue is really beautiful. Here are those 7 Tarte blushes swatched on my

skin. I mean some of the colors are nice but like these all look the same to me

because I'm not that picky. I wish I had a little bit more variety in tone.

And now for the moment of truth! I want you to guess... Pause right now and guess

how many years of blush do you think I own? I wear blush about five days a week

and I only wear one color at a time. So pause now give me your best guess down

in the comments below.

According to my little calculator here

I have 15.53 years of blush in my collection! I mean that Tarte

Big Blush Book definitely spoiled me there but even aside from that book I've

got so much blush. Especially these huge pens like the Milani. That is a ton of

blush to own and I think I really do have a great range of colors and tones

and warms and cools. I definitely don't think I need to buy any more blushes.

I am making really good progress on some of these blushes, the Milani, Too Faced,

the Sephora cream blush. This one's almost empty so I just got to keep

pushing and go through them and avoid buying blushes on their own or blushes

that come kitted with other things, let's say highlighters, for example.

Now it's your turn to share with me how many blushes do you own in your

collection? Am I completely insane and crazy? I feel

like my collection is medium / large with that blush book but these core

products I don't think that's overly crazy? Make sure you check me in the

comments here. If you would like to add up your collection I will definitely

leave a link to my little calculator excel sheet down in the comments below.

Highlighter, foundation, lipsticks, you name it we are going to add it up and

see how much we have to be better aware what is in our collection and to be

better aware of how we spend our money and if we need to stop and focus on

using up products instead of just buying more products. Let me know what you think

about all of this in the comments down below. It's definitely not meant to shame

or make fun of anybody. It's really just to kind of explore your own collection

and see what you got going on. Also a great time to swatch your

collection and see what you got going on as well. If you enjoyed today's video

make sure you give me a thumbs up and subscribe down below if you'd like to

see more beauty videos like this from me in the future. Huge thanks to my patrons

for helping bring these videos to you guys. If you'd like to help support my

channel you can think about becoming a patreon or share this video with anybody

else who might find it helpful, that really helps me out and aside from that

you guys I will see you all in Wednesday's beauty video thanks for

watching. BYEEEEEE

"How many people do you know who are gay divorced?" | DeAnne Smith - Duration: 4:24.

I love this place. This place is a liberal utopia.

Do you want to know how I immigrated here?

I got in to Montreal in 2006

by gay marrying a Mexican.

What?!

(laughter)

In 2006, you couldn't even gay marry a Mexican to get into Mexico.

Do you understand how amazing this place is?

Do you want to know why the Mexican came here?

You're not even ready for this.

The Mexican got into Montreal

because she wanted to go

to mime school.

(laughter)

Mime school!

L'ecole de mime.

I'm telling you that in order to legally

get in to Montreal, I gay married a Mexican mime.

That's what's going on here.

How good is this place?

(applause)

It's so good!

In 2006, I got gay married.

In 2007,

I got gay divorced.

Now...

Don't feel bad; I'm proud of it.

Do you understand how cutting-edge

that is? How many people do you know even today

that are gay divorced?

I'm blazing a trail for my people.

What I like to do,

I like to take a right not everybody in the world has,

use it, spit on it, throw it away.

Yeah! Oh, that's right.

That's called privilege.

You know what I'm talkin' about, white guys.

It's the best.

(laughter)

And I know you guys are curious; I know you want to know more about the

mime, and I would absolutely tell you more about the mime.

But... she doesn't talk to me.

(laughter)

Oh my gosh, that's a classic one-liner! C'mon, that's good comedy.

That wasn't fair, that wasn't fair.

I'm sharing with you from the heart; I will continue to do that.

I'll tell you that the real reason that we broke up

is that I just couldn't help but feel

that there was a wall between us.

(laughter)

'Kay, no, that wasn't fair. I will not do that again.

The real, real reason that we broke up

and I hope you can tell, I'm kind of a creative,

free-thinker and

she was always thinking inside the box.

(laughter)

They always come in threes; you should know that.

After the mime and I broke up,

I started dating another girl in Montreal

who was going to mime school.

What is happening in Montreal?

And do you understand what that meant for me? That's two in a row.

Like, I need to take a look at myself

at that point. Are mimes my type?

Like yeah. Maybe I'm just into, like, pale, silent girls

who like to pretend it's a lot windier than it actually is.

(laughter)

I'll tell you what, though: if you can make a mime make noise in bed?

You are doin' something right, y'know?

(applause)

There's so much to love about Montreal.

I went - I went to my first strip club

in Montreal.

My friends got me a lap-dance. The lap-dances are $10!

Oh I'm sorry, does that not seem incredibly cheap to you guys?!

Do you need context for that?

The lap-dance was $10. I paid $9

for a juice today.

That happened.

So this lap-dance was $10.

And I don't need to tell you, in Montreal, they get reeeal close.

And they're pretty naked.

And I discovered, a little late in the game,

that I don't have like a resting,

I'm-watching-a-strip-tease face.

I don't have

just like a generally cool expression that I can slap on

to indicate that I am enjoying this sexual scenario.

So for eight minutes

while this woman was at work,

for eight minutes while she is trying to do her job,

she's dealing with this.

(laughter)

I'm DeAnne Smith; thank you guys so much!

How many masters degrees/universities should you apply to? - Duration: 11:46.

Hello everybody I hope everyone's doing well today!

This is Dr. Varun Gandhi and you're listening to the Power Punch Club

Podcast.

Today my partner Vineet Jain is back. What's going on man? How you doing?

How was Colombia? Life is great! Colombia was amazing! I'm back here in cold

Pittsburgh but gosh were all those people out there were world travelers

I really recommend to put Colombia on top of your list

beautiful beautiful country I was so humbled by the by the spectacular views

the mountains the deserts the beaches everything um that's all I gotta say

yeah that's good man I'm good I'm so that's a classic here I actually

mentioned you in the podcast so they already know that you're in Colombia um

I told them well I know that they know really I was you told me about your

podcast that you started recording by the way great idea I love this mission

that you put us on the mission about just giving everyone all the information

they need to apply to universities level the playing field no matter where these

students are anywhere in the world they have the exact same opportunities to get

into great universities so I really really value that but anyhow when you

told me about podcast I got that email when I was on a bus from Carrara to MIT

aid in Colombia and the buses have like great Wi-Fi and everything much better

than here in the United States by the way it's funny my cell phone worked

better there than here my data plan and while I listened to the first podcast

while I was on that on that drive and that's a story that's the memory that

that's power punch Club podcast is always going to have the best man that's

awesome thank you for sharing that and yeah you know and you you articulate our

mission really well but the other the other part that these two the

international students are missing and is their ability to articulate and

communicate their story through the different pieces of the application and

this is where power punch Club podcast comes in as well to help them

Stan how the different pieces of the puzzle mean something that's greater

than just the individual pieces absolutely articulation is key here is

the problem you may be the best student the most intelligent student the smart

student ambitious yet you've got to communicate this to your audience

through an application the application provides various different mediums to

communicate that do your resume through your letter of recommendations through

your statement of purpose and of course through your GRE score you have to graph

each of these opportunities and make the most of it and if you cannot articulate

in today's world it's it's game over for you

you might as you should start today to get better at articulating get better at

writing get better at talking get better at selling get better at branding

yourself because in today's world no matter where you are even if you decide

not to apply to universities you gotta sell your thoughts and your ambitions to

everyone around you it couldn't be tough I completely agree

that that's a really good advice and I hope people listen to you because they

definitely need to follow that and they definitely need to spend more time

articulating their story now for their application and form for the future

because that's one of the ways one of the the best ways to get a job in

America is if you understand what your story is and what what your why is

essentially but if if they spend more time articulating your story the reason

they don't have that time it's because they're actually spending too much time

on applying to so many different University so that's the topic we're

going to address today is how many universities should these students apply

to and all right yeah so the golden rule that we follow here at power punch Club

is six to eight universities anything more means you have no clue what you're

doing you're too confused and you have no game plan period that's it if you

even think that you need to apply to more than six six is actually enough

eight is stretch more than that we need to talk

with somebody and think about this you're spending so much money just

applying to more universities than you need to it's about 100 225 maybe 175

dollars per application that adds up instead take that money invested in a

mentor and a spiritual advisor someone who can help you get some clarity of

purpose into your brain and so that you have a better game plan when applying

completely agree man that's an amazing point that you bring up about how much

they're spending almost you know 15 applications a hundred dollars per

application sometimes even more than that it's more than $1,500 they're

spending on just applications and that's that's not money well spent from the by

no means but also it takes a considerable amount of time to just

create one really good application right like why don't they spend that time on

creating that one really really good application as opposed to 15 different

average applications yes you're you're right I believe that the problem is in

their philosophy in their underlying philosophy when they try to tackle

applications they think they need to get one good application and then that one

application can be copy and pasted and then it's a numbers game you know that's

what they think but that's not how it should be done what they need to realize

what everyone needs to realize is that every relationship is a new conversation

so they need to start from beginning in their application and that's why it

takes a lot of time they think you put all the time effort in in that first

application and then they don't need to do that again and again because they

have the material and that's wrong because what you need to do is create

material for each University based on that University based on their program

based on what type of candidates they are looking for and that takes time

you're right so if you're saying 15 applications almost 50 hours for each

application they're committing themselves to how much do the math about

in 50 hours for that application to them most students start in the last two

three months anyway there's no way they could squeeze that type of time and even

if they do it's not quality time definitely so would you save that is

that that's what differentiates a great application from an average one the time

it takes to articulate their story that's definitely the the most important

aspect of it for sure and it goes back to our previous conversation if you

cannot articulate your ambition your goals your vision your purpose of

applying to this particular University out of the hundreds out there they want

value you as a candidate and if you Bay if they don't value you you don't get an

admission yeah because you don't value yourself and if you don't value yourself

that is not going to come across in your story and lastly you know if it doesn't

that's all the application committee seeds when they're thinking about a

student do we want to accept the student or not when they're making their

decision all they see is their application and if they don't have

articulate their story through their application and communicate it in a way

that best represents themselves then they're not their application it's not

going to get justice done to it it's like a club I think I've used this in

another podcast but think of the universities as like a club you're going

to go dancing you got to prep off everything the GRE is like the bouncer

that stands in front of the club and let you in or let you out right depending so

that's the GRE is like the very first hurdle that you got across if you're GRE

score or GMAT score is not good enough you won't even be considered for the

next level comes the next level we talked about it your GRE score is okay

then an admission counselor is going to go through spend five minutes on your

application and say you know what this application is in the top 20 I'm going

to put it on the side and we're going to review review it together some other day

how do you get into that top 20% I've heard a number two

then hurdle number three is good articulation good resume good background

good everything that will get you into the top 2% top 5% and those are the

students who will be given an admission at that particular prestigious

university I love the conversation but I'm sorry to

cut it short you can definitely check us out on our website PowerPunchClub.com

or on our social channels you can pull up follow us on Quora or Facebook or on

GMAT and then from that point on we're going to help you identify what stories

include them in the application where do they go in the application do they go on

your resume do that go on your letter of recommendation do they go on in your

statement of purpose we're going to help you identify that and then we're going

to move on to help you write your application expect that by the end of
