U.S. reveals North Korea cancelled meeting with Pence at last minute - Duration: 2:29.
Should it were to happen,...it could have been a major breakthrough.
Washington says Vice President Mike Pence was set to meet with North Korean officials
during his recent visit here in South Korea for the opening of the Winter Olympics.
That was before the regime pulled out, seemingly upset by America's continued hardline stance.
Kwon Jang-ho has our top story.
North Korea 'dangled' a meeting in front of U.S. Vice President Mike Pence, before it
was cancelled last minute after Pence refused to soften his tone on the regime -- that's
how the vice president's Chief of Staff Nick Ayers described the meeting that could-have-been.
Ayers, speaking to the Washington Post on Tuesday, revealed that the CIA had received
word of North Korea's interest in holding a meeting during the PyeongChang Winter Olympics,
and that preparations began following President Trump's approval and ahead of the Pence's
trip to Asia.
The vice president was given a remit to convey the sincerity of Washington's hardline stance,
although not to open any negotiations.
But only two hours before their scheduled meeting time on the 10th of February, the
day after the opening ceremony of the PyeongChang Winter Olympics, the North Korean delegation
called to cancel.
They reportedly expressed dissatisfaction over Pence's announcement a few days prior
that new sanctions were being planned on Pyongyang.
The North Korean delegation also showed disapproval of a meeting between the vice president and
North Korean defectors, as well as Fred Warmbier, the father of the U.S. student who died last
year shortly after being released from 17 months of detention in the North.
Throughout his trip to Asia, Pence repeatedly said he would fight against the North's attempts
to, quote, 'hi-jack' the Olympics with its propaganda.
A state department spokesperson confirmed the report, saying that although the administration
regrets the North's failure to seize this opportunity, Washington will not apologize
for calling attention to the regime's human rights abuses.
The vice president's office also said Seoul tried to assist by providing the Blue House
as a neutral location for the meeting, but the South Korean top office has declined to
comment.
It had been hoped that North Korea's involvement in the PyeongChang Winter Olympics would open
the road for dialogue with the U.S. as well as South Korea.
But the revelation of this failed meeting shows that there is still a long way to go,
before all sides are ready to sit at the negotiation table.

U.S. Sen. Pat Toomey calls state Supreme Court's redistricting decision a "miscarriage of justice" - Duration: 2:02.
What the court has done is truly breathtaking
they have grabbed power from the elected legislators they did in order to draw a
partisan map of their own they've engaged in person ship while hiding
behind a mirage of in partiality and
there's a reason that our Constitution assigns to the legislative branch the
drawing of congressional matters the reason is it is inherently an
unavoidably a political process there is nearly an
infinite number of ways you could carve Pennsylvania into 18 districts of equal
population when you make the decisions about how to do that you inevitably make
little judgments and our founding fathers understood that political
judgment should be made by people who are accountable to the voters and that
that is the men and women who are elected every two years to our state
legislature and the men and women who are elected every four years to the
state Senate and it is not Supreme Court justices who merely stand for retention
every 10 years that's why this is so important the other reason why this is
so important is because of any institution in our society needs to a
hold the rule of law follow the law and respect and follow our Constitution it's
our courts above all others and when Pennsylvania State Supreme
Court violates the law violates the Constitution as they have done in this
case then there's a terrible miscarriage of justice and I want to encourage
Pennsylvanians of all political stripes should want to restore the rule of law
we should fight this matter go to court and if necessary go to the Supreme Court
to have an objector

Pentagon to release details of delayed S. Korea-U.S. joint drills after Olympics: Yonhap - Duration: 0:44.
Details of the postponed Seoul-Washington joint military exercise will be released next
month when the PyeongChang Winter Olympics wrap up.
In an email interview with Seoul-based Yonhap News, the Pentagon spokesperson said...
Key Resolve and Foal Eagle -- usually held in late February or early March... were delayed
to ensure the security of the Games and lower tensions in the region.
North Korea has been calling the drills invasion rehearsals and perceives them as justification
for the regime's provocations.
The U.S. Defense Department's position is in line with that of Seoul's Defense Minister
Song Young-moo.
The defense chief said he and his U.S. counterpart will make an announcement regarding the new
date before April, after the PyeongChang Paralympics are over.

Trump's Had Enough Deep State Meddling, Slams "Judas" Jeff Sessions With 3 Brutal Words - Duration: 4:37.
Trump's Had Enough Deep State Meddling, Slams "Judas"
Jeff Sessions With 3 Brutal Words
President Donald Trump has reached his limit with former President Barack Obama's deep
state operatives meddling in our government.
Now, he's got three brutal words aimed directly at Attorney General "Judas" Jeff Sessions
that you don't want to miss.
Despite numerous government officials demanding that Attorney General Jeff Sessions resign
for his betrayal of President Trump and American patriots, he continues to provide a shield
under which deep state hacks like Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and Special Counsel
Robert Mueller can operate.
Trump's had enough of this crap and took to Twitter with his frustration.
According to Daily Caller, Trump let loose on Sessions on Wednesday, February 21, 2018,
in a tweet which said, "Question: If all of the Russian meddling took place during
the Obama Administration, right up to January 20th, why aren't they the subject of the
investigation?
Why didn't Obama do something about the meddling?
Why aren't Dem crimes under investigation?
Ask Jeff Sessions!"
AG Sessions is the lynchpin to the deep state's complete operation.
If it weren't for the fact that Sessions recused himself from the Russian collusion
investigation, our government wouldn't be the laughing stock of the entire world right
now and corrupt people such as Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, James Comey, Andrew McCabe,
Peter Strzok, and many more would be indicted for their crimes.
Many people suspect that Sessions is in some way compromised and won't un-recuse himself
because the deep state has some kind of dirt on him.
If this is the case, why can't Sessions do what he wants criminals in the U.S. to
do — pay the piper.
This isn't the first time Trump has hit Sessions with the ugly truth.
In July 2017, Trump's frustration reached a boiling point when Sessions refused to do
his job and investigate Hillary Clinton's illegal email server and the DNC corruption.
In one tweet, Trump wrote, "Attorney General Jeff Sessions has taken a VERY weak position
on Hillary Clinton crimes (where are E-mails & DNC server) & Intel leakers!"
Additionally, President Donald Trump threw hot fire on Jeff Sessions during an interview
with the New York Times just a week before the July 25, 2017, tweet.
In that interview, Trump blasted Sessions for being deceitful and taking the job of
Attorney General with no intentions of keeping his promise to serve the American people first.
Sessions clearly chose to serve the interests of Clinton and Obama, which left millions
of Trump supporters infuriated with the former Alabama Senator.
"Jeff Sessions takes the job, gets into the job, recuses himself, which frankly I
think is very unfair to the president," Trump said, during the New York Times interview.
"How do you take a job and then recuse yourself?
If he would have recused himself before the job, I would have said, 'Thanks, Jeff, but
I'm not going to take you.'
It's extremely unfair — and that's a mild word — to the president."
At that time, Trump also blasted Sessions for his testimony during Senate confirmation
hearings, saying that Sessions' failure to come clean about his "communications
with the Russians" was bad form.
"Jeff Sessions gave some bad answers," the president said.
"He gave some answers that were simple questions and should have been simple answers, but they
weren't," he added.
Here we are, more than a year into Trump's presidency, and Special Counsel Robert Mueller
is running rampant throughout Washington, D.C., trying to bring charges against anyone
he can, even if they had nothing to do with Trump's presidential campaign.
The ugly truth here is that this is exactly what Obama had planned.
This national embarrassment and complete debauchery taking place in our Department of Justice
and other federal agencies is the spectacle Barack Obama set out to create.
The "resistance" that liberals constantly talk about in regards to President Donald
Trump is exactly what is happening.
Trump has the power to fire Jeff Sessions, Rod Rosenstein, and Robert Mueller.
In my opinion, American patriots would respect him more for taking that necessary action
than if he were to wait for Mueller to attempt a bogus indictment or impeachment
what do you think about this?

Tara Talks - Reflection: Installing a Beneficial Mind-State - Duration: 6:53.
[music]
So what are the ways that we really install an experience?
And part of it is to know it is happening, to saturate and to really appreciate it;
that's part of the installation.
So I want to practice with you.
I want to practice getting a taste of how to install an experience.
Letting this pause be an invitation to sense what is right here.
So we will just begin with mindfulness because
everything we are talking about requires mindfulness.
To install a positive experience requires mindfulness.
Attention to when we are having a good experience, attention to what it feels like.
And you might sense more for yourself right now, you know, what is it that
you really want to experience more regularly?
Is it peace?
Is it gratitude?
Is it love?
For right now, we will explore just deepening and installing more of that sense of loving care.
And you might bring to mind an experience with another person
– someone that is easy for you to feel love with, to begin with –
and bring that person to mind.
Sense them right here, close in, so you can remind yourself of how come you feel loving with them.
You might see the look in their eyes when they are feeling loving towards you.
The expression on their face.
And you might remind yourself of qualities you love about them; how they look when they're
happy, when they are amused or entertained,
when they are laughing,
or in a really tender place, maybe.
Reminding yourself of their goodness, basic
intention to be honest, to be caring.
And as you begin to sense in your body what is the felt experience of loving this person?
What is it like?
You might mentally whisper the person's name and say, "Thank you!"
just to sense your appreciation and notice how that loving grows in your body.
Imagining them receiving your "Thanks" and the connection for your life.
Letting the feelings of love be as full and strong as they might be.
For some it is lovely to put your hand on your heart and just feel
that you are just inviting the feelings of love to be as much as they are.
You might even mentally whisper the person's name, "I love you…", and just
say their name and say, "I love you" and just imagine them receiving that.
Letting the feelings be as full as they are and sensing what matters about this loving to you;
what makes you value it, how it is relevant to you.
Sense how it is not always so accessible and just the valuing and just the kind of wonder of it.
Wow, just beautiful to have that tenderness!
Sensing a freshness in experiencing it.
And feeling the loving as if it is possible to let it into your body and your cells even more as if it
could just saturate you, like you are a sponge just filling up with water
or as if there is a syrup that could just completely fill you,
golden syrup is covering and saturating and filling your being, you can bathe in it.
Really letting yourself let it in.
"Ah this loving! Let it fill me!"
And if it helps, just to mentally whisper the person's name and say, "I love you",
and just feel it again, just really light and warmth filling you,
and sense what you want to remember about this.
Know that you are rewiring your brain, your heart, your body, your mind,
and that the more times you do this,
the more you really give it twenty, thirty seconds to feel directly the loving,
the more access you have to this very innate capacity in your being.

Melania Trump's Parents 'Chain Migration' - Viktor and Amalija Knavs Are Permanent US Residents - Duration: 5:14.
The parents of first lady Melania Trump have become legal permanent residents of the United
States and are close to obtaining their citizenship, according to people familiar with their status,
but their attorney declined to say how or when the couple gained their green cards.
Immigration experts said Viktor and Amalija Knavs very likely relied on a family reunification
process that President Donald Trump has derided as "chain migration" and proposed ending
in such cases.
The Knavses, formerly of Slovenia, are living in the country on green cards, according to
Michael Wildes, a New York-based immigration attorney who represents the first lady and
her family.
"I can confirm that Mrs. Trump's parents are both lawfully admitted to the United States
as permanent residents," he said.
"The family, as they are not part of the administration, has asked that their privacy
be respected so I will not comment further on this matter."
The Knavses are now awaiting scheduling for their swearing-in ceremony, according to a
person with knowledge of the parents' immigration filings.
Questions over the Knavses' immigration status have escalated since Trump campaigned
for the White House on a hard-line anti-immigration agenda.
Those questions grew sharper last month, when the president proposed ending the decades-long
ability of U.S. citizens to sponsor their parents and siblings for legal residency in
the United States.
Trump has repeatedly blasted the long-standing policy as "chain migration."
In last month's State of the Union, the president called that process a threat to
Americans' security and quality of life.
Under his plan, he said, only spouses and minor children could be sponsored for legal
residency.
But immigration experts said such a path would have been the most likely method his in-laws
would have used to obtain residency that permits them to live in the United States.
Matthew Kolken, a partner at a New York immigration law firm, said there are only two substantive
ways Trump's in-laws could gain green cards: by their daughter sponsoring them or by an
employer sponsoring them.
The latter is unlikely, as it would require a showing that there were no Americans who
could do the job for which they were sought.
Both the Knavses are reportedly retired.
In Slovenia, Viktor Knavs, now 73, worked as a chauffeur and car salesman.
Amalija Knavs, now 71, was a pattern maker at a textile factory.
David Leopold, an immigration lawyer and a past president of the American Immigration
Lawyers Association, said the first lady's sponsorship of her parents appears to be the
only reasonable way they would have obtained green cards because the process currently
gives preferential treatments to parents of a U.S. citizen.
"That would be the logical way to do it, the preferred way to do it and possibly the
only way to do it under the facts that I know," Leopold said.
Foreigners can also petition for refugee status or other humanitarian programs, according
to the Department of Homeland Security.
A White House spokesman and a spokeswoman for the first lady declined to comment.
Melania Trump came to the United States from Slovenia in 1996 for several modeling assignments,
first on a visitor's visa and then a work permit.
In 2000, Trump self-sponsored herself for a green card based on her "extraordinary
ability" as a model, according to information Wildes previously released.
In 2001, several years after meeting Donald Trump, she received a green card that granted
her permanent residency.
She became a U.S. citizen in 2006, the year after she and Trump were married.
The Knavses have lived on and off with the Trumps in New York City for years and have
been seen frequently in Washington since the first lady moved into the White House last
summer.
Several years ago, their attorneys contacted the office of Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y.,
now the Democratic minority leader, for help checking on the status of their petition for
a green card with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, according to a person familiar with
the outreach.
Such efforts are not unusual and some congressional staffs, including Schumer's, have a dedicated
immigration case worker to handle such requests.
Schumer's office declined to comment.
In his State of the Union address on Jan. 30, Trump offered a four-point immigration
reform plan that he said "protects the nuclear family by ending chain migration."
"Under the current broken system, a single immigrant can bring in virtually unlimited
numbers of distant relatives," the president said in his speech.
"Under our plan, we focus on the immediate family by limiting sponsorships to spouses
and minor children.
This vital reform is necessary, not just for our economy, but for our security, and our
future."
Trump underscored his position in a Feb. 6 tweet.

Gun control: U.S. Sen. Pat Toomey offers up ideas he could support - Duration: 1:10.
One idea that I'm interested in pursuing is increasing prosecutions for people
who lie on their federal firearms background check application this is not
all that terribly uncommon for convicted felons to deny on form that they are
convicted felons in the hope that they'll be able to buy a firearm well
it's not legal for them to buy one it's also a felony for them to lie on that
form and yet a very seldom this prosecutor I'd in favor of prosecuting
people who knowingly misrepresented on their applications I also think that
it's just crazy that we have people that we mean to be such a risk that we will
not allow them to board a plane it's not a long list but there is a list of
Americans that we believe are likely to be terrorists so much so that they show
up in an airport with a boarding pass and an ID we won't let me get up in my
view such a person should not be able to go into a gun store and buy an ar-15

Looking to return to the Champions League quarterfinals for the first time since 2014, Manchester United rolled through group play in fairly easy fashion.
They had one slip up against Basel but won their other five matches and conceded just three total goals–only Barcelona allowed less during the group stage–to win Group A.
Sevilla, meanwhile, wasn't nearly as convincing.
They managed to draw Liverpool both home and away, but they were also blown out by Spartak Moscow 5-1 and were one of just two teams (Shakhtar Donetsk) to advance out of group play without a positive goal-differential (12 goals scored, 12 goals allowed).
Inconsistency has been a theme during domestic play, as well, as Sevilla has advanced to the Copa del Rey final behind a couple of wins over Atletico Madrid, but they sit just fifth in La Liga.
That said, Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium is an incredibly difficult place to play for opponents, as Sevilla has lost just once at home in their last 35 matches across all competition.
For Manchester United, getting a draw on the way back to Old Trafford will be the goal, but manager Jose Mourinho won't put too much weight on the result one way or another.
"I normally say that Champions League dreams start around the quarter-finals and not yet in the last 16," he said.
"The last 16 still looks a long way to go.
When a team reaches the quarter-finals, then I think is the moment where even the teams that are not favourites, which is our case, realise anything is possible.
"But I think for the moment we just have to focus on a very difficult opponent, and in the first match of these two knockout games, a match that doesn't decide anything is very important.

The one thing Billy Graham would want us to remember|tick tock news|latest news| - Duration: 5:53.
Early Wednesday morning, the Rev. Billy Graham passed away at age 99 at his home in Montreat,
N.C.
In response to the news of his passing, national and international leaders simultaneously grieved
his death and celebrated his life. And for good reason.
He should be remembered for his global reach, having preached live to approximately 215
million people in more than 185 countries or territories, and via television and radio
to hundreds of millions more.
He should be remembered for his personal influence, having met and prayed with every U. S. president
from Dwight Eisenhower to Barack Obama, and having preached at funeral services for Presidents
Lyndon Johnson and Richard Nixon.
He should be remembered for the way his ministry spanned across many of America's public
divides. Graham was recognized by many Americans—Republican and Democrat, black and white, North and South—as
"America's pastor."
He should be remembered for his opposition to racial bigotry, having refused to preach
to segregated audiences. For this reason, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. counted Graham
a friend and an ally, once remarking, "Had it not been for the ministry of my good friend
Billy Graham, my work in the Civil Rights Movement would not have been as successful
as it has been."
He should be remembered for the love and faithfulness that characterized his marriage to Ruth McCue
Bell, to whom he was married for 64 years. His reputation was unblemished by sexual or
financial scandals.
But more than anything, he should be remembered for the gospel. It is this gospel to which
he devoted his life and ministry.
What is the "gospel" Billy Graham preached?
The Christian gospel is the announcement that two thousand years ago Jesus of Nazareth was
crucified. Powerful members of the religious, political, and military communities colluded
to strip him naked, mock him publicly, and crucify him. And it is the announcement that,
even while powerful men were conspiring to kill the Son of God, God himself was acting
to save the world from itself, once and for all.
But what does Jesus' crucifixion have to do with him saving the world? As the Bible
teaches, Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection accomplished three things, which together
provide an explanation for why Billy Graham devoted his life to preaching about them:
On the cross, Jesus suffered so that we could be delivered from suffering.
Unlike other religions Christianity teaches that all of us are born with a tendency to
sin. Like Adam and Eve, we refuse to recognize God as God and we break his law repeatedly.
Because God is the universal King and ultimate Law-giver, our sins are mutinous; they represent
an attempt to steal his kingship and replace his laws. For that reason, each of us deserves
death as the penalty for our law-breaking.
Yet the Bible also teaches that God loves us and does not want us to suffer the penalty
of our sin. For that reason, he took on a human body and came to earth as Jesus. When
he did that, he "traded places" with us. He lived the sinless life that we should have
lived, and died the death that we deserve to die. He took our guilty record, died for
it, and offers us his perfect record in return. That is why the apostle Paul declared that
"there is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus" (Rom
8:1).
Through the cross, we can be reconciled to God and each other.
Because of our sins, we alienate ourselves from God and others, but Jesus saves us from
our sins in order to mend those relationships. That is why the Bible says, "For it pleased
the Father that . . . by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things
on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross" (Col
1:19-20). In fact, Jesus' reconciling powers will cause all relational barriers to be torn
down, including the barriers of ethnicity and nationality (Rev 5:9-10).
Because of the cross and resurrection, we have hope for the future.
The Bible connects Jesus' crucifixion with his resurrection. After Jesus suffered on
the cross, he was buried, but on the third day he rose from the grave! When he rose from
the dead, he not only confirmed his divinity but declared that he would return one day
to make things right. He will return to disestablish evil, sin, and death from their artificial
throne, and establish himself as the true King over a kingdom characterized by justice,
peace, and love (Rev 21-22).
For these reasons, Billy Graham invited anybody who would listen to embrace Jesus as the Savior
that he is, to trust in him alone for our salvation. He alone can save (Acts 4:12) and
there is no sinner too bad for him to save (1 Tim 1:15).
For these reasons, we shouldn't be sad for Billy Graham. In his own words, "Someday
you will read or hear that Billy Graham is dead. Don't you believe a word of it. I
shall be more alive than I am now. I will just have changed my address. I will have
gone into the presence of God."
And for these reasons, we should do what Billy Graham did: trust in Jesus and invite anybody
who will listen to trust in Jesus also.
