Auto news on Youtube Feb 12 2019

three zero, yeah yeah. why only use five? no don't use five why? why? hello

hmmm hung up on me

hey guys how's

it going it's Andrew Crossley here welcome to the channel thanks for tuning in

as always hope you guys are doing great today we're going to be talking

about Instagram more specifically Instagram hashtags and how many you

should be using when uploading a photo / video to your Instagram profile let's get started

hey guys welcome back to the video I'm calling this video the hashtag

experiment part one it's gonna be in two parts and you'll understand why later on

just to give you a bit of background I go to networking events and I help

businesses with Instagram growth video production and general social media

marketing and I always get asked one question specifically around

Instagram and that is how many hashtags do use when uploading a photo/

video to your Instagram profile my answer is always way, wait before I go there the

other okay this is a test for you guys actually let me know in the comments

below right now just type it out how many hashtags you use when uploading a

photo or video to your profile just do it right now just reply to the comment

that I've pinned mm-hmm wait by the way I hope you guys like the new backdrop

let me know if you prefer the old one I'll pop a poll here if you've seen any

of my older videos yeah okay hopefully you guys have had enough time to type

your comments and reply to that so my answer is always 30 hashtags now don't

go deleting in your comments now just be honest on how many hashtags that you use, it's

fine I always get mm-hmm wouldn't do that that looks spammy it looks desperate

no no I've read a lot of blogs on google that you should only use between 4 & 6

hashtags nah no no no I think we'll we'll go somewhere else for our social

media marketing, ha love that okay and this is where potentially I could shoot myself

in the foot not in real life I haven't got any bullets but

today I'm gonna challenge that I am gonna make a challenge to see what

performs better 5 hash tags or 30 hash tags and then the way I'm gonna do this

is I'm gonna use one photo across two profiles one profile has around 68

followers the other one has around 133 followers I'm gonna use the top of 30

hashtags for the one that has 68 followers I'm going to use the top 5

trending hashtags for the one that has a 133 followers makes a bit

more sense that way the reason that I am using only trending hashtags in the

moment and again because people businesses I you know trying to be

successful on Instagram use random hashtags that just copy and paste the

trending hashtags thinking you know it's gonna get a lot of likes it doesn't

really work that way but I'm doing it this way so in part 2 it's gonna

make a bit more sense on why it wont work so I'm gonna leave that pitch there

for 24 hours so it is currently , lefts have a look. half 7 so half 7:00 tomorrow night

I'm gonna share the stats and see what performs better hopefully the one with

30 hashtags so I end up getting a few more clients however I am still gonna

share this video if the one with 5 hashtags gets more engagement so guys

I shall see you in 24 hours

ok guys so it has been 24 hours since I have uploaded

that video what I'm gonna do it is project my phone screen here so you can

see exactly what the stats are for this this is intense

ok so first of all there's social stories which is a business I'm creating at

the moment it's great professional Instagram stories so this page at the

moment has 132 followers so I only used five hashtags on this one and this is a

picture here which is actually gonna be the thumbnail for this video

as you can see it's got one like and that's not from someone that's following

us and one comments or five hashtags which Is love, insta good, photo of the day

beautiful and TBT have no idea what that means

so yeah one like not so good then we go over to the other profile moody mobs

same picture 69 followers gone this one it has 13 likes no comments so let's

click on the likes these people that I'm not following

so guys really the one of the 30 hash tags wins there we go

however obviously as I said earlier in this video the hashtags are not really

relevant to the post so that means next week when I create different picture to

posts that it's gonna be more relevant then we can really see how many likes is

gonna get whether the fives gonna win or whether the 30 is gonna win so guys if

you want to find out next week don't forget to hit that subscribe button like

this video if it's taught you anything and I'll see you guys next Monday
