We are here with? "Dark."

Hi, Dark. What are you sharing with us today?

"Phantom Knight Orcust."

Nice. so what's special about the deck?

Nothing particular I suppose?

"You build a board going first."

Build a board? Sounds nice.

Can we check out the deck?

Alright, here we start with...

"The Orcust and PK stuff"

For the Orcusts, we got 2 Knightmares, 2 Harps, 2 Cymbals, 1 Brass, and 1 Wand.

Why Brass tho?

"It helps with Synchro plays."

"Also the effect sometimes comes in handy considering the amount of Orcust monsters I run."

Cool. Forgot it has the effect that lets you special summon an Orcust from hand.

By the way, I've seen many players cut Cymbal to 1. Why do you prefer a second copy?

"It's a level 3, which I need for one of my strategies. You want a second copy in case you open one."

Fair enough.

Here we got a very standard PK line-up.

Also may I ask if you run Needlefiber in your version.

"I do. But the way I utilize it is a bit different."

Cool. And I notice you only run 1 copy of Armageddon Knight. You consider it inferior to Dark Grepher?

"I prefer Grepher since you got lots of stuff to discard for its special summon."

"On the other hand, Armageddon Knight is guaranteed to eat your normal summon."

Fair enough.

So basically here are all the starters and extenders for the deck.

"Pretty much."

Why 2 copies of Destrudo tho?

"Why 2?"

"I feel more than 1 copy is needed but running 3 is overkill."

True that.

So that's all the monsters for the main combos. The rest are handtraps?

"yep."

Looks pretty standard....

...except the two Phantazmays. You like it in the current meta?

"Decent."

"It does work against Salamangreat and in mirrors."

"Even decks that don't focus on link summoning make Knightmare Phoenix from time to time."

Sure. And it also...

"It also lets you shuffle back Malicious."

Yeah, it helps with that, which is nice.

And why no Effect Veiler? Most lists I've seen play the card.

"Cause I am already running more than 40 card and don't feel like increasing the number."

"And most lists run only 1 copy anyway."

3 Called by the Grave, pretty standard.

And also the one of's.

How do you like Monster Reborn?

"Not bad."

"Comes in handy If they have Ogre or something else that can remove your monster."

"And also you can steal opponent's stuff. It gives you more options."

Nothing feels better than Monster Reborn Armageddon Knight, does it?

"Well, that does happen once in a while."

"Overall, the card is quite versatile and worth the slot."

How about Soul Charge? Completely unnecessary?

"The board you can make after Soul Charge isn't always strong enough. You'd rather have the Battle Phase."

"Plus you are likely to pay your life points early for Destrudo, in which case Soul Charge might get way less value if not completely dead."

True that.

Apparently, you still play the field spell.

"I do."

As far as I know, many people have cut the field spell.

In most cases, you still go for the counter trap over field spell, right?

"It depends. Right now I actually prefer the draw spell most of the time."

Good to know.

Have you ever considered cutting the field spell?

"To tell the truth, I have. But it can be useful in certain match-ups."

"In that sense, I just leave it there just in case."

Is maximizing Fog Blade necessary?

"I always open at least one copy. If I don't max it out, I am afraid to have nothing for the PKs to search."

I know that feel.

"And also 3 Fog Blade...." That feel when you have nothing to search

"...can do work against decks that run Inspector Boarder or other walking floodgates."

I see.

Let's check out the extra deck.

Here we have the Knightmares and a Salamangreat Almiraj.

The Almiraj, in case you guys aren't aware, allows you to make a Knightmare with any of the PKs.

You simply normal summon the PK and turn it into Almiraj.

And then banish the PK to search Brigandine. Now you got yourself a Knightmare.

Pretty nice addition to the deck

How about the Orcust monsters?

"Nothing special."

The link 3 Orcust is no longer played?

"That one just feels dispensable."

"Never really need to make him."

Agree.

Would you max out the link 2 Orcust girl if you had space?

"I probably would. I do sometimes miss the third one."

Let's see what we have left. Borrelsword, a very obvious one.

Also the Needlefiber package.

But what I am curious about is the PK Xyz. That's not usual.

What's it for?

"As you saw earlier, I run 2 copies of Cymbal, which is a level 3."

"Often, I find myself have access to Rank 3 Xyz, mainly with these two."

"This, again, gives me more options and enables more plays."

So, you think the PK Xyz is worth an extra deck slot.

"Depends on your play style. I feel this one suits me well."

I am asking cause I notice that you are not running Linkuriboh.

That means you give up the Needlefiber into Jet Synchron

into Linkuriboh into a Knightmare combo.

"Not a big fan of that one." You think it's bad?

"Well, again, it depends on your play style. I find myself not used to that kind of plays."

Then what's the best turn 1 board for you?

Is it Rusty Bardiche plus the Orcust Link 2 plus the Orcust Xyz with 2 Fog Blades and the counter trap?

"Well, best case scenario I would have a Borreload Savage Dragon alongside what you just said."

Borreload Savage Dragon on top of that? Nice.

So that's in total...

"Two Fog Blades, the counter trap, the link 2 girl, Borreload Savage, and Rusty Bardiche. That's it."

So overall, what do you think of Phantom Knight Orcust in the current meta?

How strong is the deck?

Do you consider it top tier? Or it still needs more to meet the criteria.

"Of all the decks that focus on Extra deck summoning,

I can see PK Orcust as well as Salamangreat being the strongest."

I feel these two decks, especially PK Orcust, somehow, have a lower ceiling,

but the overall consistency really makes up for that.

After all, all you need is a Knightmare to begin with, no?

'"Pretty much."

Alright, thanks for the awesome deck profile.

Hope everyone enjoyed it.

Who are you again? "It's Dark."

Thank you very much, Dark. See you next time.

A three-putt in the Pebble Beach dark got two players into the Genesis Open - Duration: 1:37.

One man's miss is another man's make. An adage that was clear to see on Sunday at Pebble Beach, even in the dark

Playing the final hole in the glow of the greenside scoreboard, Scott Piercy faced a 20-foot putt for birdie

The 40-year-old was 11 under for the tournament, with a potential birdie moving him into a tie for sixth

Alas, Piercy's depth perception was clearly off, as he knocked the attempt seven feet past the hole

He overcompensated on the follow-up, the par putt falling short and to the left.It one vein, it was tough sledding for Piercy

Without a chance to win, the protocol in such situations is to try and finish to avoid a Monday morning return

Unfortunately that scramble cost him almost $50,000, dropping him down to T-10.However, there was a positive upshot, as Piercy's three-putt allowed three players—Chris Stroud, Michael Thompson and Max Homa—passageway into the top 10

A finish that bestowed invitations to this week's Genesis Open at Riviera, invitations that Thompson and Homa didn't have on Sunday morning

Thompson wasn't in the AT&T Pebble Beach field to begin the week, only getting in as an alternate

The finish continues a hot streak for Thompson, who posted a T-9 at the Desert Classic and a T-13 at the Farmers Insurance Open

The T-10 is especially prosperous for Homa. In his third go-around on the PGA Tour, Homa had missed six consecutive cuts before making the weekend in Phoenix

The witty 28-year-old perfectly summed up the affair on Twitter, writing "In golf, 10th is a hell of a lot better than 11th

One of the best weather apps finally gets Dark Mode - Duration: 1:52.

Ah, Dark Mode – such a (seemingly) simple concept, yet one so severely underutilized, much to the disappointment of bedtime readers

Fortunately, as the adoption of OLED displays increases exponentially, including in the mid-range segment of the smartphone market, more and more developers feel inclined to take advantage of the biggest stand-out feature of this technology—the ability to completely switch off inactive "pixels"—to deliver optional dark (or night) modes to their apps

But this is reflective of a broader trend, which has seen the likes of Apple and Google also push for system-wide support of such modes in iOS and Android

We even recently explored the concept of Dark Mode in iOS 13 in this article, and the majority of our readers seemed to like the idea

But until this feature is delivered on a system level in iOS and Android—which it will in the next major updates for both operating systems—users will have to get by with using Dark Mode on a per-app basis

so long as the individual apps support it.Speaking of this, one of the best mobile weather apps, Dark Sky, is finally getting a Dark Mode on iOS

It boggles the mind that its developers hadn't taken advantage of this puntastic opportunity to begin with

Rolling out now, the latest update enables users to choose from three themes – Light, Dark, and Daylight

There's also an 'Automatic' option that switches on Dark Mode when the sun goes down

Neat.Dark Sky is available both on iOS and Android.

Dashing Through The Snow | Dark Souls 2 (DLC) (part 40) - Duration: 12:06.

I went and found every bonfire

And I just touched the first bonfire in the DLC

So that I could warp to it

I really like this area

I think this is cool as hell

It's a nice change from darkness, emptiness...

...you know, fucking poison swamps

So instead we're just up in these snow mountains

And I like that my clothing actually kind of matches it

It's got the fur and cloth and everything on it

I feel like I'm actually dressing for the weather here

This is pretty cool too

Man, these guys are hard

Harder than I'm used to, anyway

Oh fuck, I'm running by shit

What is all this...?

Just taking in all the architecture here

Oh fuck!

Snow dogs

"Winged Spear+7," sweet

I like finding equipment

That's already buffed

Oh, are you a person?

I probably shouldn't kill you...

Yeah, I'll just leave you be for now

Holy shit!

Giant fucking ice spear out of nowhere!

Just heal!

It still takes you forever to take a fucking drink

No

Switch your weapon

Like I fucking told you to

(irritated sigh)

I'm fucking tired of you guys already

Come on out!

Even the one heavy swing

I'm not really killing them much faster

I thought this was a fog gate

But it's just a gate

And it's got fog

(chuckles)

So technically it is a fog gate

"Try jumping"

I doubt jumping's gonna do much

I wonder if they did that on purpose

Because it looks like there's actually

A layer of fog there

Yeah, I see you!

Oh, fucker!

I might actually have to swing back to the first bonfire

And come through again

Just to get my bearings

Because I have no idea where the fuck I am now

And trying to get back here will be

Almost impossible

Hmm, okay

This is the...

...elevator that I saw before

What the fuck!?

Do you mind!?

Asshole!

So this is fucking useless

Just a bunch of shit in there

Whatever

Umm

I guess I'll go...

Aw, motherfucker!

Didn't mean to do that

Except for like, "Pull lever"

But here, the X button is wearing out on this controller

But I never replace my controllers, so...

...I wouldn't feel bad buying a new one

Yeah, I should have seen that coming

Is that a player

Just being a fucking dickhead to me?

Why don't you go fuck yourself?

Ah, no fucking stamina left

I don't think I've ever seen an NPC

Gesture to me like that, so...

...I think this might actually be a player

NPCs typically aren't...

...dickheads enough to...

...guesture at me

Stab me in the back and then bow

Aaand this is a one-way drop

I don't think there's anywhere for me to go back there

Mickelson beats everyone but the dark at Pebble - Duration: 4:21.

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. -- Phil Mickelson put himself on the brink of a fifth victory in the AT&T Pebble Beach pro-am by turning a three-shot deficit into a three-shot lead when a wild day of weather kept him from finishing Sunday

Mickelson was bogey-free with six birdies, and he made his big run starting with a 9-iron to a foot behind the cup on the par-4 ninth

That was start of a five-hole stretch when Mickelson made three birdies and Paul Casey had two bogeys

About the only thing that didn't go Mickelson's way was the timing. The final round started an hour late because of rain, and then it was delayed two more hours when sunshine gave way to a hail storm in a matter of minutes, covering the putting greens in a sheet of white

Mickelson was at 18-under par through 16 holes. Casey had a 3-foot par putt on the same hole when Mickelson tried to lobby for them to finish, even in the dark

"I can see fine,'' Mickelson told a rules official. "I don't want to put Paul in a bad spot

'' Casey was at 15 under, tied with Scott Stallings, who closed with a 66. Along with an outside chance at forcing a playoff, finishing alone in second instead of a tie is a difference of $152,000, along with world ranking points and FedEx Cup points

Casey and FedEx executive Don Colleran had a one-shot lead in the pro-am. "I don't see how we can finish,'' Casey said as they walked up the 16th fairway

"We can't finish two holes in six minutes. I'd like to.'' Mickelson was standing on the 17th tee when he heard the horn sound to stop play, and he shook his head

The rest of his day was far better than the weather. Mickelson is on the verge of winning for the 44th time in his career, and matching Mark O'Meara with five victories at a tournament he first played in 1995

It also would be his first victory on American soil since the Phoenix Open six years ago

He won the British Open that summer in Scotland, and the Mexico Championship last year

His brilliant play still shared the stage with weather that was bizarre even by Pebble standards

Mickelson and Casey were waiting to tee off when clouds moved in quickly moved in, and rain turned into hail that pounded umbrellas, many of them held sideways to account for the wind

Greens quickly were covered by the tiny white pellets, and workers went from using squeegees for excess water to power blowers to remove the hail

Sam Saunders, whose grandfather Arnold Palmer was among the Pebble Beach owners, scooped up hail and tossed it like a snowball

Patrick Reed's brother laid on his back and tried to make a snow angel. There was never a reasonable chance to finish in his pro-am format, with mostly foursomes across the golf course

Casey has never won in three previous times he had a 54-hole lead on the PGA Tour, all of them by two shots or more, and he was holding his own against the relentless pursuit of Mickelson, who missed three straight birdie putts from the 12-foot range by the slimmest margins

Casey had great par saves, and then Mickelson took off. After his 9-iron into a foot at No

9 to get within one shot, Mickelson holed a 12-foot birdie on the 10th with a drive that hugged the right side of the fairway and likely would have bounced into the ocean if not for conditions so soft from rain that balls plugged where they landed

Casey blinked first with a bogey on the 11th hole, and another on the par-3 12th when his tee shot came up short and into the bunker

Mickelson poured it on, showing his skills have not deteriorated a bit at age 48, controlling spin beautifully to back pin positions

He just didn't want to stay another day. "I get where Paul is coming from,'' Mickelson said

"We're going to have a good chance to come out on fresh greens. I have good vision, I can see fine and I wanted to continue

In all honesty, it's a good thing to play the last two holes in fresh conditions

'' Some players finished in the dark with no chance of winning, but showed the effect of playing without light

Scott Piercy had a 15-foot putt that was slightly uphill, and he still ran it 7 feet by the hole and three-putted for bogey

Jason Day closed with a 68 and was tied for fourth at 13-under 175 with Si Woo Kim (68)
