What do I do if I want to be a musician

but my parents want me to do something more practical?

That's a very tough question.

Of course, I'm going to say do what you want to do,

but honestly, let's be real.

When I first started, my mom wanted me to go to college.

I went.

I saw it wasn't for me.

I went for my mother.

Then, I started doing music, and it worked out.

I say do what you want to do first,

pursue your dreams always,

but give everything a chance.

Leave an open window for everything, I guess.

2018: the summer of kilts?

Yay or nay and explain why.

Love you boat.

I recently became a very chubby person,

if you can see, gained a little weight.

It's called rich weight actually,

when you get a lot of money

and you get over a certain amount,

you actually start to gain weight.

So me personally, I am not a part of the kilts this summer.

Maybe next summer

after we get back to skinny boat.

Maybe in some sweats and a tank top.

Not even a tank top 'cause then my (bleep) will show.

So a sweater.

Chubby boat is not showing any skin this summer.

My mom is always embarrassing me in front of my friends.

How can I tell her to stop?

You gotta be yourself, man.

You gotta accept your family for how it is.

Learn to live with it, you know what I'm saying.

When I was younger, I used to think my mom was so mean,

but my mom was just teaching me.

She was just trying to help me learn.

So I just say, you gotta accept your family for what it is.

It is what it is.

I guess that was some advice.

Definitely not better than Dr. Phil.

And a fashion show in Saudi Arabia is going viral now.

Check this out. An array of fashion dresses

floating down a runway, but no model in sight.

And this bizarre fashion show at a Saudi Arabian hotel

where drones were used to showcase these dresses

instead of traditional human models.

A spokesperson said

the drones were used to bring a change to the annual show.

(laughter)

A drone fashion show is one of the weirdest things

I have ever seen, but, but,

if you add the Harry Potter theme, it totally works.

In other news, if you believe

President Trump is tearing The White House to shreds,

well, it turns out it's worse than you think.

Well, White House staffers have reportedly been

taping pieces of paper back together

after President Trump rips them up.

They need to tape them back together

to comply with the Presidential Records Act.

According to Politico, the papers include letters

and official documents that are required by law

to be preserved and sent to the National Archives.

Sometimes, you know, it'll just be one big rip down the middle,

and sometimes it would be, um, like, confetti.

(laughter)

President Trump's tearing up official documents?

I mean, let's not act surprised.

After all, he spent the last year

tearing up the Constitution.

(buzzer sounds)

(cheers and applause)

Ah.

But... but seriously, though, this is real life.

They can't get Trump to stop ripping up official documents.

So, instead, the staff in The White House have to scurry in

and then grab the shreds off the floor

like they're ball boys from Wimbledon. It's...

(laughter)

And I don't know why Trump rips up all his paper.

My guess is that he does it to show off how strong he is.

He's like, "Would an unhealthy president be able to do this?!"

I just love the creative process of working with her

She gets my vibe, she gets that I want a point of view

in every outfit and

very different, really amazing

press looks tomorrow and

that's my life, I'm always like

changing out of clothes, changing into clothes

and being really chic at it.

It's nuts, that's why I need

amazing people like her.

Love it.

Yeah, it'll be perfect for like a digital interview.

Yeah.

I feel like it'll just be..

Do you think I have a pattern?

I just want to know.

I mean we just started working together

I want to know!

You've done such amazing looks.

Do I have like

a kind of outfit?

That I like?

I think so.

Like what?

I think you're into dresses

You like a good shoe.

I do like a good shoe moment.

And I like not leaning into

what the dress says.

My

teens were a little bit more

tight pants

ponytails, hoops

puffy jackets.

Yeah, I was that girl in the 90's

and then came the 2000's

and then came me becoming an actress

and I started wearing everything.

Jewelry, clothes, hair, makeup.

And then I realized that I looked like a Christmas tree

going forward.

So then, I backtracked a little

and then I became too simple.

And then I had to come and find my middle ground.

And that took a couple of years, but you know what?

I think I finally

found my feet in my 30's

as a woman and a fashionista.

So a couple of things that I really like right now

are smaller sunglasses

which Mimi actually put me onto.

The second thing that I'm really enjoying is-

I am really loving like a monochrome moment.

Like I love like sets

and matching them.

Like being a little bit more turned out.

You know, using funky accesories

to break the monochrome up.

Tada!

Oooooh.

It's perfect, it doesn't even need tailoring.

Isn't it? I feel like it

I feel like it- Like nowhere

Yeah.

This is good for what tomorrow?

I think this would be.

daytime definitely.

Like a talk show.

Yeah, your second look.

Yeah.

I love the shoes with it.

I know, they're fun.

They kind of give a little bit of an edge

rather than being too ladylike.

I think also the color

is like really nice on my tone.

It's so pretty.

It's like a little lady.

Over understanding myself through my career

I think I've realized that

you know, I have to be really true to me and what

I want to say, whatever the trends might be.

What am I feeling at that moment?

For a carpet, I always have one or two

options just in case 'cause I'm moody.

But when I'm doing something custom it

has to be something that works truly for me.

Fashion is such a person thing for each one of us.

I mean we can get inspired by the people that we see

all around but it has to be personal to you.

And that's when I started my love affair with fashion.

The other woman that is hugely

responsible for a lot of my

iconic red carpet moments

is Cristina Ehrlich.

She has such a sense of

classical beauty.

She has such a sense of what makes a moment.

And I love that about her.

This year

again, we are working on my Met Gala look

So I'm really excited to share that with you guys.

This is our second Met together

and our second time with Ralph Lauren.

So it's our encore.

And so talk to me about it.

So when you have a canvas like Priyanka

the skies are the limit

and I think our biggest goal is always

outdoing ourself from

the time before which is

a challenge because we always say

this moment is epic.

This will be able to

undo

and reveal and come back

in a certain moment

and this whole cape

will come off

and then you will have underneath it

something that Ralph is so well known

for which is this beautiful

column dress.

My favorite collaboration with you was

the Met Gala last year

for sure.

Because it was such a departure

for me because- I remember being so stressed out

and the night before being like

I'm wearing a trench coat to the Met Gala.

She was so worried that she was going to disappear

and not be seen when meanwhile the train went-

When I had the train

When I wore the train, then I was like

there's not way no ones going to realize that I'm there.

It's not just a trench coat.

Also the Emmy's.

The Jason Wu.

That was one of my favorite all time looks in my career.

We've done some good stuff together.

We're having a good time.

Like I didn't remember what interview I did or

People always ask me like "How do you

look fresh all the time when you have

a crazy life like that?"

You just have to love what you do, you guys.

Like very few of us are lucky enough to do

What we love doing and I

really think I was blessed with that.

So try and find what you love to do

or try and love what you are doing.

That's what I do. Even with this craziness

I'm just like "I love it I love it I love it."

I just remind myself of that.

2018 SUMMER FASHION NOVA TRY-ON HAUL| LIA LAVON - Duration: 5:59.

Hey Youtube Family! It's ya girl Lia back again with another

video. And today's video as you can see from the title is another try on haul

video. And today's retailer is Fashion Nova. So I got some very cute pieces.

Some pieces I'm like okay well we'll see. We will see. But you guys be the

judge in this try on haul. Now the first piece that I got is this jumpsuit and

you guys know I mentioned in my last boohoo try on haul that rompers and

jumpsuits are tricky pieces for me. Because I'm very top-heavy triple d

upstairs. Bottom nothing extra small downstairs. So I never know how to pick

correctly. If I get a large it would be way too big downstairs a little bit too

big upstairs too. If I get a small then up top it's gonna be tight and that's

the case in this piece. Now this piece I did get it in a size extra small. And

this piece is called the Ezmae satin jumpsuit. I have it in the color black

floral and like I said I got it in a size extra small. Now you never need to

pay full price on Fashion Nova. Every time I shop on Fashion Nova I have

a thirty percent off coupon. When I see people who've paid full price for

Fashion Nova I'm always like what are you doing chile. I got this jumpsuit for

$20.99 with my thirty percent off coupon. So it's cute

piece for less than $21. Now because I'm top-heavy bottom nothing it

felt so well downstairs. It was a little snug up top but imma be able to work it

out. I think I'm going to be able to work it out and it will probably be my

concert piece if not for this second piece. And the second piece is just this

bodysuit that I got a couple of months ago but I didn't include it in a haul

because I didn't buy enough pieces when I was purchasing. But this is still

available on its Fashion Nova. And it's this kind of bad kind of bougie

bodysuit and I just have it paired with these jeans. These high-waisted jeans I

have them in a size three and they are dark denim. I can't remember off the top

of my head what the title of these jeans are but I'll leave them right now. These

jeans fit me perfectly. I love them. They're probably one of my favorite dark

wash Fashion Nova jeans out there. Now the next piece I have is just this ivory

top and this ivory top is known as the little white lies

top. I have been the color ivory and I have it in the size medium and it retails

online for $19.99 but of course was my coupon I got it for $13.99.

Now at first I paired it with these burgundy tie pants that I got from Fashion Nova.

And these are titled the work it waist pants and I have it in the color

burgundy and it is in the size small. These pants did for me at $13.99 with my

coupon. Now they looked a lot different online. Online I thought they were gonna

be a lot more cuter they just look meh. The looked alright. They looked alright for

$13. There were all right pants but the pants that I then paired it with after

are my favorite jeans that I've ever gotten from Fashion Nova and they

are titled the sky boyfriend jeans. I have it in a light blue wash. I have it in

the size of three and it ran $19.59. Favorite jeans and

I have probably eight or nine Fashion Nova jeans. For these to be my favorite

to date. You guys know if you're part of the little bitty bootie committee that

we like light wash jeans. Light wash jeans do everything for our butt and

this was no exception. That's why I love those jeans. Now the next piece I have is

just this a body suit. This body suit is also cute and I think I might also wear

it one day when I'm in DC and it is the fool in love off-the-shoulder bodysuit

in the color mustard and it is in the size small. Now it runs originally $22.99

but of course with my discount I got it for $16.09. I love this piece

it was so cute and I paired it with these jeans that were not so cute. Now

these jeans are called the Klum jeans and I have them in the size three as well and

it is in the price of $16.09. Now my sister was my videographer for this try on haul. Shout outs to you sister. But she shaded me a little bit. Because

she's only 13 years old but she knows about Fashion Nova and she was like I

thought all fashion nova jeans were supposed to make your butt look good. And

I look down at my butt because it's looking like the pancake of off all pancakes.

The flatest of all flatest. Nothing going on downstairs and I'm like you

know what. Caught little shade you're throwing right now. No these jeans are

not doing anything for my but. These are probably

the least liked fashion Nova jeans that I've ever gotten in my life. Not all

fashion nova jeans are created equally. Now the next piece that I have is this

bodysuit that I still cannot for the life of me figure out how it's supposed

to be worn. I can't even figure out how it's supposed to be held up and it is

the Ex-Sir bodysuit in color rose gold. I have it in the size small. It runs

you $22.99 originally but of course I got it for $16.09.

Now I thought it was gonna be a little bit more cas when I got it. When I

ordered it online I was like okay it's gonna be a little cas bodysuit. I'm a

big fan of a bodysuit if you cannot tell this is not that casual. It's very formal

looking. Very much so elegant. I was like okay this is not in the DC running and I

just paired it with these beach bum jeans from Fashion Nova as well. I love

these jeans. These used to actually be my favorite Fashion Nova jeans until I just

got those new light wash jeans. But these beach bum jeans were my favorite

cause it was just so good for my booty. They do wonderful things. Now

that was my Fashion Nova try on haul. Like I said not all Fashion Nova

jeans are created equally. But I am a size three in jeans. Usually a small or

medium in tops in Fashion Nova. And overall I think I got some good pieces.
