 Shanann Watts' parents knew her marriage was having problems and that her husband of nearly six years, Chris Watts, had grown distant and unloving — but, her mother advised her, give him his space

She had no idea what he would do next.  "She just couldn't understand why he was so cold," Shanann's mom, Sandra Rzucek, explained to ABC in an episode of 20/20 airing Friday night

 Frank Rzucek, Shanann's father, joined her in their first-ever interview about the August triple homicide of Shanann and her kids, which attracted international attention

 In an exclusive clip from the sit-down (above), the Rzuceks describe how Shanann, 34, had noticed that Chris, 33, was acting strangely in a way that was difficult to understand

 "Nothing that was really — that I could physically see," Frank told ABC. "Something wasn't there, but [it] didn't click to nobody

"  Sandra said the estrangement seemed to have been going on for a "few weeks, maybe a month

" Chris acted "just cold as ice," she said, not replying, not responding.  "I just said, 'Give him space,' you know," Sandra recalled

"But little did we know."  In fact, prosecutors later revealed, Chris had grown infatuated with a co-worker with whom he began an affair that summer before the murders

Motivated by his desire for a "fresh start," he strangled Shannan at their Frederick, Colorado, home early on Aug

13 and smothered their daughters, 4-year-old Bella and 3-year-old Celeste. Then he hid their bodies and publicly pleaded for their safe return

 Shanann was 15 weeks pregnant with a son, Niko, when she was killed.  "She was a good soul," Frank told ABC in a previously released clip from the 20/20 episode

 "She [Shanann] would do anything for her children," he said. "She just loved her children, and she wanted them to have everything growing up

"  Chris was arrested soon after the murders and confessed to killing his wife — but claimed he did so only after watching her strangle Celeste in apparent retaliation for announcing he wanted to split

 When in November Chris surprisingly pleaded guilty to all of his charges, to avoid being executed, he confirmed that earlier confession was a lie

He will spend the rest of his life in prison.  "The Rzuceks are utterly devastated," 20/20 co-anchor Amy Robach, who interviewed Frank and Sandra and others for the episode, tells PEOPLE

"They told me that in one night they lost all their grandchildren and their only daughter, a daughter they video chatted with every single day

"  "However," Robach continues, "they have a strong faith in God and that, along with their son, is what is getting them through each day

They are speaking out because they want to set the record straight about Shanann

"  Despite Chris' admission of guilt and some of the answers that came after, including details about his motive and the mounting marital strife between him and Shanann, authorities have cautioned that such a crime is, by its nature, not completely knowable

 Chris himself has not been required to make a public confession as prosecutors do not believe he would tell the truth

 "I was just so shocked to hear from every single person we interviewed — close friends, family and co-workers — that there was absolutely no warning sign regarding Chris," Robach tells PEOPLE

"Everyone told us he was a loving father and husband and an all-around good guy. It became for me the most chilling part of the story

What If The World Was Just 100 People? - Duration: 7:32.

The world is currently home to 7.5 billion people – a number which has increased by

2 billion in my life time alone!

There is 57.3 billion square miles of habitable land…although, unlike the population, that

number is unlikely to change too much.

Some are concerned that the population will swell further and there will be too many of

us to sustain life on earth… but what if the reverse happened?

What if all but 100 people were wiped from the face of the earth.

Hello and welcome back to Life's Biggest Questions…the channel that loves a good

discussion on basically any topic.

We believe no question is ridiculous and no answer unworthy of air time.

I am your host Rebecca Felgate and today I am asking What if the world was just 100 people?

Before we get into this video, why don't you guys let me know where it is in the world

that you are from an, if you know it, the population of your town or city.

Okay – so before we talk logistics lets talk stats.

Stats stats stats stats stats.

If we condensed down what we already have to be represented by 100 people then, according

to Gabriel Reilich and 100 people dot org, 50 would be men, 50 would be women… lovely…

who run da world – well…. both of us.

In terms of race – the world would be 60 percent Asian.

If the 100 people of the world were broken down by continents, there would be 14 Americans,

11 Europeans, 60 Asians and 15 Africans.

In terms of religion, there would be 31 Christians, 23 Muslims, 15 Hindus, 7 Buddhists and 16

non affiliated or non religious people.

There would be 6 main languages spoken, with the two most popular being Mandarin and Spanish,

followed by English, Hindi and Arabic – there would be a person who didn't understand

any of them, though!

86 people would have the ability to read and write and 14 simply wouldn't.

Money would be very unfairly distributed - most people would make between 2 to 10 dollars

a day, and only one person would make more than 90 dollars a day… and that same person

controls 50 % of all of the money out there.

which maybe makes you would be if you were one person in the hundred and perhaps how

lucky you are.

1 of the 100 hundred people would be starving and on the brink of death and 11 would be

malnourished.

26 people would be over weight and 8 obese.

On the other hand, 8 people don't have access to safe drinking water.

I'm already sensing a lot of tension.

So….if there were 100 people on earth, despite our backgrounds, ethnicities and differences,

the only way to protect the human race is to live together as a tribe.

If I've learned anything from Game of Thrones it is that the lone wolf dies but the pack

survives.

Wait…what am I talking about…they basically all die.

Anyway… we would need to make our way to one another for protection, but where would

we choose?

As is, 56 people would be from cities and 46 from countryside but what is the point

of a city if there are only 100 people to fill it – we would need pastoral living

– land to farm and a clean water supply as well as temperate conditions.

Perhaps somewhere in Mediterranean Europe or the southern US states.

What is wrong with Florida….aligators, that is what.

With just 100 people in the world, animal life would likely blooming.

We would vastly outnumbered by predators – all the more reason to stick together.

The one thing we have on our side is sentience and the ability to control machines.

Perhaps we could gather what is left and useful of our former civilisations and build a fortress

– unlike our ancestors living in tribes, we have powerful weapons – the most powerful

of which is knowledge.

We KNOW now how to look after ourselves, how to feed ourselves, how and where to build,

we know how to create and harness electricity….

To stay alive we will need to not only use but remember these things.

Let's talk breeding options for a second – like I said – we need to stay alive

and there is one sure fire way to ensure that- create more humans.

– if the world was just 100 people then 26 of them would be under the age of 15.

Urm…right.

Between the ages of 16 and 34, lets consider them the breading years – there would only

be 32 people…so 16 couples.

Yes, some of the 20 people aged between 35 and 49 could breed too but the 22 people over

the age of 50 may struggle.

So…with 16 ish breeding couples…there isn't a lot of genepool for new generations…although

wide enough I guess….

You just better not be too picky about small things like actually being attracted to or

in love with your partner.

Oh and if the world was as it is now but scaled down, one person would have HIV and 5 would

have an STD. so…

So we are all living together and trying to keep the human race alive.

Think about it – you probably know more than 100 people, although they are likely

similar to you.

Imaging knowing 99 other people and relying on one another to survive?

This would kind of be great for humanity – we would need to communicate with each other,

learn one anothers languages and ways of thinking.

If there were just 100 of us and one person was stinking rich and well fed while others

were poor and starving, we would probably do something about it?

The less fortunate may rebel and try and steal from the person with the wealth, but this

may end in blood shed, then our already dwindling population would be even smaller.

A bad move.

Perhaps if the world were just 100 people we would realise the value in helping one

another, the value in us all being healthy, the value in being peaceful.

Max Verstappen: Red Bull boss reveals what Daniel Ricciardo relationship was really like That is according to team principal Christian Horner, who insists Red Bull never had concerns over Ricciardo's competitiveness. and Ricciardo raced as team-mates for three seasons but competed alongside one another for the final time 11 days ago.

Ricciardo is on his way to Renault over the winter and question marks have been raised over whether Verstappen had influenced his decision to move. However, Red Bull boss Horner insists the duo shared a positive relationship over the past two-and-a-half years. "There was a momentum and respect between the two that meant they kept pushing each other to the limit," Horner told German outlet. "It has been an honour to have [Ricciardo] on the team for the past five years.

"We never worried about Daniel's pace. "Now he is one of the best drivers in the field when it comes to overtaking manoeuvres. "He has produced fantastic races. "His personality was also a perfect match for our brand." Horner's comments contrast to those of former GP2 champion Davide Valsecchi, who is friends with. "Daniel does not want to be a second driver at Red Bull," Valsecchi said in October. "It is clear that Verstappen is preferred within the team.

"From the moment that Max joined Red Bull in Spain, I realised that Daniel was. "Max jumped into a car unknown to him and was in the qualification immediately right behind Daniel: more or less equal. "You recognised Max's talent immediately. "And that's bigger than my friend's. "I knew Daniel would go under. "Max is better; I understand why he received double or triple the salary of Dan. "Max is extreme in everything.

"Extremely young, extremely good and extremely confident." Verstappen and Ricciardo will go head-to-head when the Australian Grand Prix kicks off the 2019 season next March.

Ricciardo's move to Renault, who finished fourth in the Constructors' Championship last year, from Red Bull was expected to signal the last time we would see a shoey on the podium for at least the next two years, given their lack of competitiveness in comparison to the top teams.

Even Ricciardo himself has hinted that he is expecting 2020 to be more of a podium challenging year than 2019, but he will be in for a pleasant surprise when he walks through the door of their Enstone base, according to managing director Cyril Abiteboul. "We're missing about 15 to 20 kilowatts of engine power [20-27bhp] in the race, which under certain conditions could be made up for by the Red Bull chassis," Abiteboul told Auto Motor und Sport.

"In qualifying we estimate our deficit at 40 kilowatts [53bhp], and that's significant.   "With a customer engine from Mercedes or Ferrari we would have qualified in seventh place in Abu Dhabi. This shows that we have a better chassis than our (midfield) competitors, but also shows we are not as good as the three top teams. "That's why the main focus at first is on engine development.

Next year, I don't want to have to say anymore that we lacked too much power in qualifying. There's no reason why we shouldn't close the gap to Mercedes and Ferrari with the engine over the winter. With the chassis it will take a little longer." The Aussie has been driving Renault power for the last five years at Red Bull before the split at the end of the 2018 season, as the Milton Keynes outfit switches to Honda engines.

Red Bull have been very vocal about how much better they will be with their engines, despite Renault outperforming the only team using them last season, Toro Rosso. Abiteboul was keen to point this out as the fallout from Renault's very public divorce from Red Bull continues. "It's hard for me today to set targets for next year," Abiteboul said. "In sport, that always depends a bit on the performance of the others. But if the curve points upwards like ours, you want this trend to continue.

"Maybe we won't be able to do that in terms of the world championship position, but we want to reduce the gap to the top. Let's wait and see what happens with Red Bull and Honda. Red Bull never gets tired of telling how good Honda is compared to us. "May I say that Toro Rosso (Red Bull's sister team who already use Honda engines) is still behind us?"

NEXT NEWS:F1 news: Daniel Ricciardo's warning from new Renault teammate Nico Hulkenberg ahead of 2019 season.Nico Hulkenberg has admitted he must "find another gear" if he is going to beat new Renault teammate Daniel Ricciardo next season, but had some strong words of fight for the Australian.

The German has predominantly been a driver lost in the midfield pack for most of his career but was 'the best of the rest' in 2018, finishing top of the Drivers' Championship when you remove the big six contenders. However, next year will see one of those big six driving alongside him in the Renault overalls after Ricciardo's shock decision to leave Red Bull. Hulkenberg has already stated that he will not shirk the challenge Ricciardo presents him as he looks to prove himself as a driver capable of driving for a top team.

"Bring it on – we all cook with water, I'm not scared of anyone," said Hulkenberg about facing Ricciardo next year.   "Probably it will be very challenging and I might have to find another gear, but let's see what happens." Hulkenberg has a good record when it comes to outscoring his teammates having done the same with McLaren's new recruit Carlos Sainz. And despite being happy with his efforts last season, Hulkenberg insists his main focus is the progression of the team, rather than just himself. "I guess it's always important – people, outsiders, look at that [teammate comparison] more," he said.

"People inside the team, they know more obviously about what's really going on. But, yeah – it's good, I'm happy – it's much more important that the team and the car progression happens."

The Australian was on the market mid-season after turning down a new deal with Red Bull and eventually ended up at Renault despite many expecting his arrival in Marranello.

The move would have made sense, given Ricciardo's Italian heritage, there being a seat available with Kimi Raikkonen's departure and Ferrari being a team who could match the 29-year-old's world-title aspirations.     But it never materialised and while there was speculation he asked for too much money, Ricciardo has now revealed that an unnamed person within the team vetoed his arrival.

"I can't say why," he told Automoto when asked if he wanted too much money. "I don't know what you're talking about. Who said I'd asked for too much money?   "Evidently someone said no when I arrived. Who? I'd like to know, but maybe I have an idea…" While Ricciardo did not give a name to his suspect, he may be referring Sebastian Vettel, who is currently the No. 1 driver at Ferrari having left Red Bull a season after the Aussie arrived, and outperformed him thus upsetting the apple cart.

Instead of Ricciardo in the red overalls next season it will be Charles Leclerc, who, despite being one of the most exciting young drivers in the sport, will still present less of an immediate challenge to Vettel's status at Ferrari. However, it's more likely it was Sergio Marchionne, who was pushing for Leclerc's promotion to Ferrari before his death earlier this year and reportedly even brokered the deal while he was still CEO.

When pushed further on why his move to Ferrari broke down, Ricciardo was unsure, but hinted the door was open for him to move there in the future – should he decide not to extend his stay at Renault longer than the initial two-year deal. "Good question," he added. "Maybe it's better if you ask them.

I talked and discussed, but you see that they had already made arrangements with Leclerc, so mine fell through. "That works well and good luck to them as far as I'm concerned. I hope to still have some time in F1 and who knows that in the future there are not opportunities to meet again."

Paul Pogba was not impressed with question about his new bit-part role at Manchester United - Duration: 2:58.

It has been quite a roller-coaster year for Paul Pogba.The French star experienced what was undoubtedly the highest point of his career as Les Bleus claimed a famous World Cup win in Russia but, on either side of that, his club form with Manchester United has been dreadful

Pogba simply hasn't justified the massive fee United forked out to sign him from Juventus and, while he has shown glimpses of his incredible ability, he has never been able to recreate it with enough consistency

He has been hit with a barrage of criticism this season after a number of underwhelming performances in which he has looked cumbersome and uninterested

His very obvious falling-out with manager Jose Mourinho didn't help matters either as the two got into a heated spat on the training ground

Mourinho hasn't been shy to publicly criticise his players this season and Pogba has found himself in the Portuguese's sites on a few occasions

Now, due to his poor form and questionable attitude, Pogba is being reduced to less and less playing time at Old Trafford

It looks as though Mourinho's patience has finally worn all too thin with the 25-year-old who has now been relegated to the bench

For someone who was once the most expensive player in the world, a bit-part role in the side is hardly ideal

However, Pogba was once again given a watcher's brief for the Red Devil's vital clash with top-four rivals Arsenal in mid-week

He was eventually bought off the bench in the 75th minute but made little impact on the game, as the sides settled for an entertaining 2-2 draw

However, it was his frosty response to a question in the aftermath of the tie that seemed to attract the most attention

According to the Daily Mail, Pogba was asked how he felt about being reduced to a bit-part role for such an important game to which he snapped: "What do you want me to say?" before storming off

Pogba has made it no secret that he isn't exactly happy at United, and having to sit on the bench for the second time in succession won't have helped those feelings
