hello youtube and welcome back to the Robbie Bobbie Channel I am your host Robbie
Bobbie and today we've got something awesome to show you guys I can't believe
that this has actually happened transport yourself 30 years ago by the
toys-r-us because I know they're closing down so I went there to see what they
have and I I wasn't expecting to get anything but then I found Donatello
Leonardo of course Michelangelo my favorite well
one of my favorite my favorite is actually wrapped by L thirty years later
he's still hard to find no Rafael's available anywhere I can remember the
day that I actually saw Raphael we're going to the shopping mall and we had
this big black Chevy and it was in st. George Utah and we're going to the
shopping mall and my friend was going to come over and see me he missed me
because yeah we're just going out the door but in his hand everybody in his
hand grips glued in his end was a bright green and red striped turtle and it
could only be one Raphael and I was just like oh we stopped the car it's like a
kidnapping we stopped the car and I pulled him in the car and said you come
into the shopping mall with us and you're gonna show us where you got that
toy and and I got that toy eventually but oh yes when I saw these I thought to
myself it will be mine oh yes it will be live so I had to have
them I had to have them so all of the Ninja Turtles come in this unique
packaging just like the 1988 release part from the title of the Ninja Turtles
I don't know why they they kept the newish kind of title I suppose to get
kids to say hey it is Ninja Turtles it's not just some angry green man who's
waiting to have a poo the back it's got this classic packaging at the back it's
got the story as well let me just read you the story the evolution of the
Turtles a boys bowl of pet turtles fell into the
stench of his underground city sewer they landed on splinter penniless my
dyslexia the powerful ninja master who lives in the muck
splinters enemy shredder led an evil Foot Clan pours a disgusting green ooze
over splinter and accidentally the turtles hoping to zap him dead this is a
pretty bad storyline at that time okay instead the turtle pets mutated into
turtle teens and splinter turned into the biggest rat ever to face a trap
splinter the big cheese leader the big Flint er the big cheese leader oh I get
it because he's probably a rat but why would he be a leader of cheese would he
be a leader of ninjas okay teaches the turtles the ways of the ninja together
they form a kick stomping fighting team for the side of good
against deadly Foot Clan get ready for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles that
figures the yank collect I had all of those when I was a kid I was always
disappointed in shredder because he kind of looked like well they all kind of
looked like they needed to poop but he looked more so I got a really soft spot
for playmates which is the toy company behind the turtles because in 1991 when
I was 11 years old I wrote to playmates and said why does Michelangelo's
nunchucks always break and they always broke every kid had broken
Michelangelo nunchucks they were made really thin anyway month a month went by
and then I had this big huge parcel arrived at my doorstep and it was all of
the teenage me Ninja Turtles I could say just turtles
instead of saying the whole name I got this huge box of turtles and they're all
boxed in everything weapons were so much stronger and thicker and I wish I kept
them because they're probably worth a lot more now if they had unique designs
to UM and stuff I think they gave me a shredder and a splinter I don't know why
they were very good and they didn't have to I didn't ask for them but they sent
me replacements with tougher quality to him I'm gonna open these and show you
guys just exactly the love that I have for these turtles I don't need it so I'm
gonna start with Donatello by the way guys if you want to check him out go to
the Toys R Us they are closing down if you see a Raphael there hands off it's
mine they're going for like 20% off their original sale price so it was
about $12.99 but they took an additional off of that I don't get paid for any of
this shouldn't I or should I open up open the
box all of them come with weapons like this I never knew what this weapon I
don't know what any of the weapons are apart from bo staff I don't know why
Donatella always had two bo staffs the plastic is slightly different from when
I was a kid this one looks a bit more durable the other ones were a bit more
harder and glossy err I think like a kid again I'm just like wow it's very
practical as a kid so in my view if it didn't happen in a TV series if it
didn't happen in the comics if it didn't happen in the movies these made nothing
it's kind of like modern plastic so it's not that freely the hands are a lot more
rubbery okay so if this was like the 1988 version they would have had soft
heads and the 1990 version had hard heads a little effect that you probably
didn't want to know but there you go that is Donatello he's looking mean
green and brown machine Donatello I'm just loving it you got Donatello with
his bow right there that is looking so awesome
I swear that the plastic was a bit more harder
and it feels like loose around the I was mine mines never had that Lucy feel to
it we're got open the next one which is Leonardo Leonardo was actually the first
Ninja Turtles I actually but like what what is this green thing that is in my
hands and they said play with it and I did
play with it and I discovered Ninja Turtles with my friends later on and I
was like ah I've got one of those there is Leonardo right there looking these it
looks like you can just man plastics really changed over the years and now we
come to the finale sadly because I have not got Raphael but we've got
Michelangelo and we're gonna open it okay cool and you probably couldn't do
it too much but that is a lot better than I can remember it was just he got
to this point and it was like snap or it got really white in the center go Angelo
and that was the pose that everybody had him in and he had a spare nunchucks back
then so it's a good trip down memory lane
