Auto news on Youtube Oct 29 2017

Our company was founded in 2000.

So As you know, Korean market at that time was a very PC based.

We started on PC based game and as you know Korean market is growing and growing in RPG and FPS.

So our company has a very strong technical background and experience about RPG.

By 2012 or 2013, mobile market is getting bigger and bigger. So we make decisions. In the future, mobile gaming

will be getting bigger and bigger. So we change our strategy to more focus about mobile gaming.

So at the beginning, we try to launch puzzle or racing games.

But in Korea mobile market is very quickly, it was RPG games that became popular.

When it comes to our background, we are very strong about PC RPG technology and experience.

So, we think it will be better chance if we leverage our experience to the mobile market,

then we can be an innovator to make a new market. So, we focus on RPG game more and

then we have a lot of achievement from Korea and Asia and Japan.

We believe even the Western market would follow that trend.

Our usual behavior is here in video games is popular but when we see the grossing, top

chart, the RPG genre of games is getting growing and growing as we're observing.

So, we want to be innovator of the market. So, now we focus more about RPG.

And actually that's very true. We've been looking at statistics and mobile games are

starting to overtake consoles. It already has; yes

It is very big now. Yes

As we had mentioned before, most of these mobile games still aren't that complex.

Yes More like just as you play in elevator.

Yes And stuff and you guys are trying to change that actively

Yes

So with Lineage 2 Revolutions you guys introduced not just single player tap and you attack

people but it's a very large-scale game where you work together with other players.

Yes What kind of community are you guys trying

to build around this game? It's not just one that's just casual, you guys are actually

aiming for the competitive market. Yes. So, we think the first core target user

of Lineage II Revolution will be pc MMORPG or RPG users. They already have a lot of experience

about community, clan, gear, or PvP features. So we think those users might be the core

fan of this game. We try to build user community, bring that user community from PC to mobile.

Obviously people cannot play whole day, sometimes moving or be somewhere else. So they cannot

bring their PC right. Yeah

We think the core PC MMORPG or console users, they might have a smartphone and that if they

play our game, they can think that this is another RPG game I can play anywhere, any time.

So we try to make those fans from PC also to the mobile space. There will ever be seen

and also there will be core users. Also, in Asia, we did to make us build up community.

We do some core user meeting, tournaments, something like e-Sports. In Asia we experimented,

it works quite well to build up community base. So we are thinking about similar approach

to the West market so that's one other reason why we attended TwitchCon.

We demonstrated and we want to see what is the US reaction. Western users can accept

these kind of mechanics, the real-time factor. So, we got very positive feedback. So we will

work more on that to build and enhanced community base

And one of your challenges are actually balancing the more casual players who still enjoy it

as an MMORPG Yeah

But they don't want to go competitive versus the players who want to know everything. How

can I get better? What can I do? Yeah

Like how can I be better than anyone else? How are you guys balancing between those two

different ways of looking at the game? That is quite tricky part, right?

Yeah So even Asia and Western users, same MMORPG

features, but the depths of understanding what playtime or play style look quite different.

We will relate quite different because of a behavior like behavior is different

Yeah And also as you mentioned that core gamer

and non-core gamer also very different. So, there was a very challenging part when we

develop these games. So, in the Western market specially, we add a lot of additional content

to overcome that challenge. For example, in MMORPG when you play that, before you got

enough level, there's not that much content you can enjoy because it's growth first;

and then PvP is really end content, right? So Lineage II Revolution was similar at the

beginning but we try to change the game content to add each ten levels; if you reach that

with new content. And even though you are not truly strong enough, you can enjoy three

versus three, five versus five pvp battle, very light, casual PvP battle. And also, if

you see the fortress siege is 30-vs-30 here, right?

Yes That was a sort of endgame content. If you

last strong enough, you cannot win that. But we introduced very freely joining fortresses

for the western audience. So, it's auto balanced; you just to select challenge for you to enter

the game. Then the balance will be the same, so it depends on strategy. You can easily

fight with others and then you can enjoy the content more like not hardcore or fighting

but just casually enjoying PvP or something like that.

This is challenging but we try to meet the core users with the end content, fortress

siege, and castles siege, those contents. And also, at the same time, we try to meet

the difficulty level by introducing new content every ten level, so that they can keep playing

enjoy and also getting some experience to get to that end content.

So that's really interesting them because it's not like some RPGs where you feel like

everyone's making fun of you because you can't do anything, you have to keep going

Yeah Like this specific thing

Yes So that's actually really cool because for

a mobile game like you said, there's not always a chance to sit down and play a game for hours,

for these PvP modes how long are the different fighting modes for those trying to take?

For example, for team siege fight is no longer than 30 minutes, 15 minutes or something.

so we try to understand the Western game as a behavior. Some core users may play two hours

a day, but usually 30 minutes or one hour will be maximum even for our core user, right?

So we try to meet their life pattern, life cycle. So all PVP must be a very short and

also the growth speed is very faster than Asia, Korea, and Japan because players can

not put enough time compared Asia. Yes

So that part we have adjusted when we launch this game, we will adjust that.

They will be slightly different Yes. But balance is different and growth speed

is different; even the content, we will add more content for the Western gamers, more

for the core users Characters have been changed too

And also visual So it's not just you guys took the Asian Version

and just threw at the Americans. Casual games, like other game companies, maybe

we can try that, but this is RPG. So as you know to balance or you know this is more than

monetization and also visual your even the UI, UX, those things are quite different like

Asia, so if we just using same build to meet up with as the western users and Asian at

the same time, we don't think is fully satisfied for most market. We just take core fun from

here to here just maintain the core fun, but the other part; the UI, audiovisual, or some

PVP mod, or growth speed, daily dungeon, other things, we try to meet up and culturize to

the western market. It sounds like in that case then you guys

are actually going to be actively monitoring how are players enjoying the game, what's

going on? Yes

And you guys are actually going to be equally balancing the different classes and play PVP

and so, right? Yes. If you see the fortress siege, at the

beginning it looks like just fighting but when you watch that there's a strategy going

on; there's a tanker, healer, because of the way to attack is quite different by team and

strategy, right? It's very strategic in fighting battle. So to do that we keep watching the

users behavior and data in the game balance and we keep adjust the game balance. Its

a quite high operation. So actually look kind of hardest thing to

balance then? Yes it's not easy but the lucky thing is I'm

in charge of Western market, so the game was a launched in Korea and other territories

already. So we have a lot of experience and data already. So, based on this data, we keep

and improving the game balance and things That's good to hear. I think one of the things

that games have been doing recently is constantly patching

Yes It is actually good to see you guys are not

just like looking at feedback every now and then but you guys are actively monitoring

Yes Why is this pattern happening

Yes And whatever it is. What kind of class do

you think the western market have been enjoying playing the most?

Your definition of class means like Like what kind of character?

Our characters? Yeah

We see the user data right, maybe human archers(?)? But in Asia dwarves and elves are very popular, it's quite different

Yeah But we will see it when launches; we will

see it. And I'm sure like from what it's been going

on here people seem to actually enjoying the game a lot. I'm just looking at it and I see

stuff and I'm like I know this means a lot; like there's a lot that's going through a

player who sees the strategy going behind this but it's difficult for me to catch on

to that. So in game, would there be like help for newer players to help to understand the

different strategies and tactics as well? Yeah we try to make game tutorial as easy

as possible but also that is not enough because game has a lot of contents, right? So, we

align some sites online to provide wiki page. So we move more details to the wiki. And also,

at the same time, now we are working on that to make more tips, and how-to-play guide video,

or document like that. As you mentioned that, it's been quite challenging for us. So we

try to provide as many information as possible to new users who never play like these kind

of games to overcome the challenges. I'm pretty sure she's something that's going

to pop up as a result of this community Yeah

There's going to be sites like Reddit or other forums

Yes People start interacting with this game and

Yeah I'm starting to think. I think that's actually

something cool and that mobile games haven't done before. Because when mobile games were

still like Angry Birds, single-player games, they didn't have any communities around

them. Yeah, no community around that, they just

play. What then did you mention earlier? Was is

that Clan system going to be about? Yes

What's that system about? Like can we do with it?

You mean your Clan systems? Oh yeah

Yeah. So, as you know these this came with a clan system, in game community it's there.

And also, we provide our own clan service dedicated to Lineage II Revolution, connected

to the game data. So people can easily track ingame data and easily let players communicate

each other. It makes easier to deeply analyze. They can also use communities like Reddit

and other existing community. We will encourage and make synergy with communities like Cabal(?) and SimCity(?).

And this I should pretty need to say to you because it's not just like you said you're

just playing yourself but there's all these up here playing with.

I guess that's it for the interview. That's all I have for now. Thank you very much for

your time. Thank you for inviting me and have time to

have this exchange.

US Airforce troops told 'be ready' as North Korea tensions reach breaking point

The US and North Korea stand on the verge of WW3 as Kim Jong-un and Donald Trump sling various threats of military action at each other.

Kim has vowed to continue with his dangerous nuclear programme, and vowed to launch a devastating hydrogen bomb into the Pacific Ocean soon.

In response, Trump has threatened the North with "fire and fury", should they launch military action at them or any of their allies.

"Your commander in chief is depending on you to be ready" Mike Pence Now, Trump's right-hand man Mike Pence has warned the Hermit Kingdom that although peace is their first option, they will not hesitate to retaliate if attacked.

He said: "Anyone who would threaten our nation should know that America always seeks peace, but if we are forced to defend ourselves or our allies, we will do so with military power that is effective and overwhelming. Praising the arsenal held at North Dakota's Minot Air Force Base, home to 26 B-52 bombers and 150 ICBM sites, Pence warned troops to be on guard for North Korea.

He added: "Now, more than ever, your commander in chief is depending on you to be ready. " Pence has held a number of highly classified briefings in the last two months on what to do with the tubby tyrant.

Kim's propaganda mouthpiece, the Rodong Sinmun, has called on their enemies in the South to join them in waging war on the US.

After calling South Korea "puppet war maniacs", it added that the situation called on all Koreans to united against Trump.

U.S. Defense Secretary Jim Mattis says US can't accept nuclear North Korea - Duration: 2:48.

US defense secretary James mattis says the threat of a nuclear missile attack by North Korea is accelerating

Speaking at annual defense talks in neighboring South Korea mattis insisted diplomacy was the preferred course of action

But stressed it was only effective when backed by credible force

Make no mistake any attack on the United States or our allies

Will be defeated any use of nuclear weapons by the north will be met with a massive military response

effective in overwhelming

Tony Berkley is following developments from the South Korean capital

There were strong words from the United States Defense Secretary. He was here in Seoul on part of a two-day visit

Partly to discuss the defense of the peninsula, which is an annual thing between the u.s.

And South Korea and partly to pay the way for president Trump's visit on the 7th and 8th of November now that visit in itself

Is creating increased tensions here and general mattis was at pains to warn North Korea that any nuclear attack with weapons?

Would be met with a very very

Massive military response, and he did intimate that North Korea could not win in that situation

Having said that his tone in the last two days has been more conciliatory than that of President Trump you may remember

His fire and fury speech at the United Nations in August and also his threat to totally destroy, North Korea

And he is resorted to a word a war of words of mass destruction

And people are worried that there the words may turn to weapons

There was a lot of concern here the United States has upped its defenses

It's bought three naval carrier groups into the region it's phone. It's moved it sir

F-35 stealth fighters to Japan just in case the president Trump's visit produces some kind of reaction from North Korea

they've conducted six nuclear tests most of those have been under ground but the North Korean Foreign Minister has warned that they will conduct an

Atmospheric nuclear test and who knows what that will provoke

But there is a lot of concern on the Korean Peninsula that will happen

What will happen general mattis has said basically the actions of North Korea are provoking an excell creating?

the situation and causing a greater possibility of conflict on the Korean, Peninsula

But he also stressed that the need was for diplomacy for talking

He said the United States did not want war it wanted ad nuclearization our of the connect Korean, Peninsula now

He also said though. He couldn't imagine any

situation whereby the United States would accept a

Nuclear, North Korea now North Korea is well on its way to being a nuclear power

So something has to give the big question here is what will give and who will give it

US warns North Korea of 'MASSIVE MILITARY' response amid WW3 fears

Mr Mattis also warned Pyongyang that North Korea's military was no match for the US-South Korean alliance and that diplomacy was most effective when backed by credible military force.

The Defence Secretary said: Make no mistake - any attack on the United States, or our allies, will be defeated.

And any use of nuclear weapons will be met with a massive military response that is both effective and overwhelming. Mr Mattis has been at pains during his week-long trip to Asia to stress that diplomacy is Americas preferred course, a message he returned to after top-level military talks in Seoul on Saturday and the tense border area with North Korea on Friday.

Tensions between North Korea and the United States has been building after a series of nuclear and missile tests by Pyongyang.

The CIA has warned North Korea could be only months away from developing the ability to reach the United States with nuclear weapons.

President Trump, who has threatened to destroy North Korea if necessary, is heading to Asia this week, with his trip including a stop in South Korea to meet President Moon Jae-in.

After talks with Mr Mattis on Friday, President Moon said the aggressive deployment of US strategic assets in the region, which have included overflights by US bombers, had been effective in deterring the North Korean threat.

US intelligence experts, however, say Pyongyang believes it needs the nuclear weapons to ensure its survival. The US Defence Secretary suggested that Pyongyang needed to understand that its weapons programs would not strengthen its defences.

But Kim Jong-un has pledged to build a nuclear-tipped missile capable of reaching the United States. Mr Mattis said: "If it remains on its current path of ballistic missiles and atomic bombs, it will be counter-productive, in effect reducing its security..

Ultimately, any attempt to force the dictator-run state to denuclearize could have devastating consequences for the world. Jim Mattis was briefed on the posture of North Korean artillery, whilst visiting the inter-Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ).

South Korean Defence Minister Song Young-moo suggested that the US and South Korean missile defences simply could not stop all of them. Mr Song told Mr Mattis at the DMZ: "Defending against this many LRAs (long-range artillery) is infeasible in my opinion.".

U.S. Income Tax Without Deductions and Exemptions Explained (2017) - Duration: 13:14.

hey everybody I'm back and hopefully this video will help you understand how taxes affect

your income in America as of 2017 let's get to it so right here i'm using the tax foundation

as my data collection website truly if you just search on google tax brackets 2017 this

should be the first thing that pops up so that's what i'm using as you can see here

this is for single taxable incomes which means if you're a random dude or girl who isn't

married so we can see how the rates scale up from 10% all the way up to 39.6 % of your

income and actually interesting note America actually has one of the most progressive tax

rates in the world the least progressive tax is called a flat tax and everybody pays the

same percentage regardless of income a progressive tax is generally understood to be a graduated

tax as you get richer you have to pay more so we can see that here on my next slide I

basically put the nominal income which is income before taxes the money you would see

on your paycheck although most paychecks have some taxes taken out like social security

and medical but this is going to be your nominal income basically what you earn in a year your

salary as you think it is and then on the y axis we have real income or after tax income

and as you can see basically this is just adjusting for the different tax rates I know

there is a 10 percent tax up until you earn $9325 so that's why above 9325 there is a

8392.5 for real income as you only get to keep 90% of what you make so it's a linear

line until you go to the next tax bracket then it's a slightly steeper linear line and

so forth so this is just for a single person this one here is kind of interesting because

the purple boxes represent the taxes collected by the government and the green boxes represent

the nominal income so you can see how as nominal income increases the taxes collected increases

at close to the same rate but not exactly alright here is something a little more interesting

in my opinion so this right here is a little graph I made and you take the nominal income

on the x axis and the percent of tax owed is on the y axis so from 0 to 9325 both the

published percent and the actual percent collected are 10 now what happens is at the point of

191650 dollars for your nominal income the government actually takes 28% if you just

read the text but in reality 31.37% and that's because if you look here there is a bonus

surcharge on pretty much all of these on the 25% bracket it is (just read it) plus the

25% of the remaining which exceeds 3950 I would usually show my math for how I came

to all my findings but last time I did a video like this people said it was too long so I'm

trying to cut down on time but anyway that is why the percent of total income owed and

the actual percent you pay is different for some of the tax brackets that extra little

charge before they take the tax rate itself actually comes out to being more than the

actual tax rate itself so now moving on this affects most working class people this is

the married joint filing income tax brackets and rates so we can look here at the first

one at10% instead of ending at 9350 dollars it ends at around 18k so it is about double

but at the end they actually kind of approach each other the original one ends at about

416k and this one here ends at about 470k which isn't that big of a difference to be

totally honest but it is the same concept where the more your joint income goes up the

more you have to pay and there is also a similar system where they take a little bit before

they actually take the tax rate so here is the after tax income for a married couple

in 2017 this is here for you to check and think about as you are getting a job here

again I have the taxes taken graph and that shows you the relationship that has interesting

but at the highest bracket they almost take half and you can see that here on the % of

total income owed to the government graph we can see here that basically from the beginning

as soon as you hit 75900 dollars the actually percent payed exceeds the published rate you

will be paying more than they say I don't want to say that I don't want to say it like

that you are paying more than perhaps you think you are paying and here before the actual

percentage surpasses the published percentage you actually have to get up to about 90 thousand

dollars so I've heard people say that there are tax benefits to getting married and in

certain cases that is true but not quite in this case but if you look here 91900 dollars

you actually have to pay 24 percent if you are single but if you are married you only

have to pay 15.6 % and that is why there is such an idea in people's heads that it is

better to get married and doing their taxes that way but once you get up to 153k you will

actually pay less as a single person so that's just something to consider so the graphs so

far in particular it only matters for these kinds of graphs the nominal vs the real income

graphs if you notice these graphs are not to scale so I have used a different website

it looks a little more boring so that's why the others were done the other way these are

single and married joint to scale and also these don't have the numbers next to the points

which I thought was very important so here I've actually overplayed them you can see

here that there is a bit of distortion at the bottom but all the x and y vales line

up but it's such a small difference I don't think it matters too much and if I wish I

can move this around but at the end of the day I think that it is much easier to understand

if it's like this so all you can really see here is the relationship between married joint

and single and when it is better to be either if kinda drawn a little dashed line to represent

when it is better to be single after you income surpasses about 250k but it is better to be

married joint before that point as you can see the married joint line basically from

the very beginning it is slightly better to be married and then

after that not so much in reality it might be that the true value is and I haven't actually

done the calculation but it might be that the point is not at 250k it is actually that

233k value we see here where the actual percent of taxes taken goes up to 31.56 percent but

yeah really that's all I have um to talk about in this video I may do some more videos over

taxes and stuff in America I might even do some taxes which are really good from an economic

standpoint like Pirovian taxes thanks for watching I hope this helped I'm not any kind

of professional I don't do taxes professionally right I'm just a dude and I had some publicly

known data and a calculator and some paper and a couple graph generators so if I did

my math incorrectly please correct me in the comments because this information is helpful

to me in the future I'm going to use this video myself when I start thinking about jobs

and stuff like that just like how I use my how easy it is to make 50k on youtube video

I use that video quite frequently when I talk with someone who wants to start a youtube

channel themselves and I'm trying to tell them how hard it is and stuff you can check

that out its up here somewhere but these videos are not just for you guys they're also for

me in the future just so I can have the data and stuff but yeah I might go into this more

if again any questions at all any corrections just drop a comment because I really appreciate

knowing if I got something wrong and I can make a correction and everybody knows what

the right thing is which is good so subscribe if you want some more videos like this I do

them every once in a while I also do some meme videos and some college advice stuff

too but yeah thanks for watching guys and as always I will see you in the next one bye

Putin the KINGMAKER: Donald Trump turning to RUSSIA to help US take down North Korea - Duration: 3:24.

Putin the KINGMAKER: Donald Trump turning to RUSSIA to help US take down North Korea

Vladimir Putin's regime is becoming the kingmaker as the knife-edge crisis worsens between Washington and Pyongyang. Russia is said to be increasingly becoming Kim Jong-un's preferred ally as China cracks down on North Korea.

US diplomats are reportedly being forced to seek out Putin – believing he can be more valuable than anyone in tackling Kim.

War fears have reached fever pitch in region as US General James Mattis warned of a massive military response as he visited the border of North Korea.

Kim has responded by promising to detonate a H-bomb over the Pacific, a move that could spark nuclear war.

"Russias going through the other way and hurting what were getting" Trump Russia has been calling for peace in the region, but has been accused of providing backdoor support for the regime.

Frosty relations also rage between the Kremlin and the White House as Putin is accused of fiddling with the US election. Washington's top envoy to North Korea Joseph Yun reportedly said he wants to increase ties with Moscow to tackle Kim.

Trump accused Putin of hurting US efforts to tackle North Korea – while at the same time praising China. The US president said: China is helping us and maybe Russias going through the other way and hurting what were getting.

I think we could have a good relationship. I think that the North Korean situation would be easier settled..

Russia shares a border with North Korea on its eastern frontier, and the two sides are traditionally strong allies. Putin himself met with Kim's father Kim Jong-il, and Russia supported the state during the Korean War.

Previously, Russia demanded the US stand down from North Korea as the Kremlin warned US escalation could spark war.

Moscow is reported to have hosted "back channel" talks between the US and North Korea at a disarmament conference.

Russia remains at odds with the US over hacking accusations as well as the war in Syria, the annexation of Crimea, and military build-ups in Baltic. Daily Star Online previously revealed which side Putin would take if the US attacked North Korea.

World War 3: US Vice President warns North Korea to 'NEVER DOUBT' America's military power - Duration: 3:33.

World War 3: US Vice President warns North Korea to 'NEVER DOUBT' America's military power

It comes as has been ramping up its missile technology with regular rocket tests, including two intercontinental ballistic missiles launches and its sixth nuclear bomb detonation earlier this year.

North Korea has also threatened to the and warned "should think twice about what terrible consequences the US will face".

Speaking at Minot Air Force Base, in North Dakota, Donald Trump's right hand man told the troops their commander-in-chief is depending on them to be ready".

Mr Pence said: "Our enemies should never doubt the capabilities of the Armed Forces of the United States of America.

"Anyone who would threaten our nation should know that America always seeks peace, but if we are forced to defend ourselves or our allies, we will do so with military power that is effective and overwhelming." His remarks echoed the if it continues to escalate its war rhetoric.

The threat was issued by Mr Mattis after a visit to the demilitarised zone (DMZ) on the Korean border.  "North Korean provocations continue to threaten regional and global security despite unanimous condemnation by the United Nations Security Council.".

And while he said the US did not want to go to war with Kim Jong-un's hermit state, he issued a clear military threat to the despot amid growing rumours of an imminent seventh nuclear test.

The Defence Secretary said: "North Korea provocations continue to threaten regional and world peace, and despite the unanimous condemnation by the United Nations Security Council, they still proceed.

"As the US Secretary of State has made clear, our goal is not war, but rather the complete verifiable and irreversible denuclearisation of the Korean Peninsula.".

It comes as a US Government source has revealed the despotic state secretly tested a new type of solid-fuel engine last week. According to the source, the test took place at North Korea's solid-fuel engine testing site in Hamhung.

And a senior CIA analyst warned that in November could spark another provocation from Kim Jong-un. Japan's defence minister has also warned North Korea's threat has grown to a critical and imminent level".

At the time the official added it "had not been decided" if Trump would visit heavily fortified demilitarised zone (DMZ) which separates the north and south.

Watch out Kim! US warns North Korea GET READY for 'soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines'

has repeatedly threatened the West in recent months but the USA today hit back in an extraordinary outburst.   The threat was issued by US defence chief James Mattis after a visit to the demilitarised zone (DMZ) on the Korean border.

He said North Korea could not be allowed to repeatedly "threaten others with catastrophe" with its fast-growing nuclear war programme.

And while he said the US did not want to go to war with Kim Jong-un's hermit state, he issued a clear military threat to the despot amid growing rumours of an imminent seventh nuclear test.

Mr Mattis, speaking after visiting the DMZ with South Korean Defence Minister Song Young-moo, said his aim was to denuclearise the Korean peninsula.  He said: "North Korea provocations continue to threaten regional and world peace, and despite the unanimous condemnation by the United Nations Security Council, they still proceed.

"As the US Secretary of State has made clear, our goal is not war, but rather the complete verifiable and irreversible denuclearisation of the Korean peninsula."  .

Despite claiming the US did not want to resort to military actions, Mr Mattis left little to the imagination with his message to Kim.  He said: "Were doing everything we can to solve this diplomatically, everything we can.

But ultimately our diplomats have to be backed up by strong soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines." And he condemned the rogue state hours after shocking satellite images of Kim's gulags were released. .

He said North Korea is "an oppressive regime that shackles its people, denying their freedom, their welfare and their human dignity in pursuit of nuclear weapons and their means of delivery in order to threaten others with catastrophe".

The 20 never-before-seen photos were released yesterday in a report which detailed the inhumane conditions experienced by prisoners in North Korea's prison camps.   .

The report, 'The Parallel Gulag: North Korea's An-jeon-bu Prison Camps', aims to refocus the West's attentions on the atrocities being committed in Kim's kingdom.

One particularly chilling section said: "Overall, the brutal and arduous labour, grossly inadequate diet, and lack of medicine lead to a dreadfully large number of deaths in detention.

"The bodies of deceased prisoners are frequently dumped into unmarked graves near the prison or prison camp without the traditional Korean funeral rites or arrangements.

Defense chiefs of S. Korea, U.S. hold talks in Seoul on N. Korea, alliance - Duration: 2:13.

The United States has once again said it will never accept North Korea as a nuclear state.

U.S. defense chief James Mattis, who is visiting Seoul, said Pyongyang's nuclear and missile

programs serve to undermine, not strengthen its security.

Kim Hyun-bin reports.

North Korea's nuclear and ballistic missile threats topped the agenda on Saturday at the

annual 49th Security Consultative Meeting in Seoul.

To better counter those threats,...

South Korea's Defense Minister Song Young-moo and U.S. Defense Secretary James Mattis agreed

to increase the deployment of U.S. strategic assets around the peninsula on a rotational

basis... and to enhance cooperation so Seoul can obtain and develop state-of-the-art military

equipment.

The two also shared views on the transfer of wartime operational control from Washington

to Seoul,... one of the key goals of the Moon Jae-in administration.

(Korean) "Secretary Mattis and I agreed to consider

the timing and conditions of a condition-based OPCON transition.

We will continue to work, develop and refine plans on this issue in time for the next Security

Consultative Meeting."

Mattis pulled no punches on North Korea,... calling Pyongyang's nuclear weapons program

"illegal and unnecessary."

He also stressed that Washington wants to find a diplomatic solution to the nuclear

crisis,... but military force remains an option, if need be.

"The United States will not accept a nuclear North Korea.

Diplomacy is our preferred course of option.

As I repeatedly emphasized, our diplomats are most effective when backed by credible

military force in this sort of situation."

Mattis also took the opportunity to warn Pyongyang against the idea of ever trying to use its

nuclear weapons offensively.

"Make no mistake.

Any attack on United States or our allies will be defeated.

Any use of nuclear weapons by the North will be met with massive military response, effective

and overwhelming."

This year's Security Consultative Meeting marks the first since Presidents Moon Jae-in

and Donald Trump took office earlier this year.

The 50th SCM will be held in Washington in 2018.

US defence chief admits chances of nuclear war with North Korea are 'ACCELERATING' - Duration: 2:22.

US defence chief admits chances of nuclear war with North Korea are 'ACCELERATING'

US Defence Secretary Jim Mattis issued a stark warning of during his tour of Asia.

Speaking at a press conference earlier today, the US general said the threat of nuclear missile attack by North Korea .  This comes after urged its enemies to take the threat of a hydrogen bomb test in the Pacific Ocean literally.

With South Korean Defense Minister Song Young-moo at his side, Mr Mattis accused North Korea of acting like outlaws.

He condemned the countrys illegal and unnecessary missile and nuclear programs and Mr Mattis said: North Korea has accelerated the threat that it poses to its neighbours and the world through its illegal and unnecessary missile and nuclear weapons programs. He added that US-South Korean military and diplomatic collaboration has taken on "a new urgency in recent days. .

He said: Our military options as I mentioned are designed to buttress the diplomats' efforts to maintain a deterrence stance and denuclearize the Korean Peninsula.

However, there are also many different military options that would realistically reduce that threat as low as possible. And yes, we do have those options. Earlier in the news conference, South Korea revealed limits on conventional missile warhead payloads would be lifted.

They also outlined the sequence of events , whereby the US would initially lead command of the military offensive of , before gradually passing on control to South Korean generals.

'We must unite against the US' North Korea calls on SWORN ENEMY to join war against Trump

South Korea and Kim Jong-un's hermit nation are still technically at war and there's no love lost between the rivals since the bloody 1950s war.

Kim's propaganda machine blasts South Korea on a regular basis for its ties with the US. But they finally appear to have set aside the venom-spitting hostility and to offer the possibility of a united Korea against the US.

"All Koreans in the north, the south and abroad are responsible" Rodong Sinmun Sworn enemies Kim and US President Donald Trump have traded vile threats of war over the past few months – and the world is on the edge of war.

In Kim's mouthpiece newspaper Rodong Sinmun today the editorial slammed the South as "puppet war maniacs".

But it added: "The situation requires all Koreans in the north, the south and abroad to further their nationwide struggle to foil the US and its lackeys' moves for provoking a war against the DPRK under the banner of the anti-US, anti-war struggle for protecting peace..

"Peace should be achieved through resolute struggle against the war moves of the bellicose forces at home and abroad, it continued.

"One is responsible for his or her own destiny and all Koreans in the north, the south and abroad are responsible for the struggle for peace." Rodong Sinmun then went on to set out its explanation as to why all Koreans should unite against the US.

It continued: "All Koreans at home and abroad should stage more brisk nationwide struggle against the US reckless moves for provoking a war against the DPRK.

"The South Korean people, irrespective of their ideology or political view, should turn out in the anti-US, anti-war struggle for protecting peace in order to protect their own lives and security.

"The danger of war can never be defused as long as the US imperialist forces are present in South Korea.".

This comes as today new pics were revealed of horrific North Korean gulags published in a damning report. Sick details emerged of just what goes on inside.

While it was also revealed today North Korea is developing Devils Venom to wipe out the US.

'UNACCEPTABLE' United States will NEVER allow a nuclear North Korea vows Mattis - Duration: 3:44.

'UNACCEPTABLE' United States will NEVER allow a nuclear North Korea vows Mattis

Mr Mattis warned that the secretive country's advancing nuclear and missile programs would undermine, rather than strengthen its security.   He said: Make no mistake - any attack on the United States, or our allies, will be defeated.

And any use of nuclear weapons by the North will be met with a massive military response that is both effective and overwhelming.

The US Defence Secretary said: I cannot imagine a condition under which the United States can accept North Korea as a nuclear power. " This comes as he warned that the threat of a nuclear missile attack by North Korea is accelerating.

He warned that the country run by the despot Kim Jong-Un would face a "massive military response" if it used nuclear weapons as he vowed to defeat any attack.

Mr Mattis has made it clear that North Korea is overmatched by the firepower and the bond of the US-South Korea alliance.   In September, North Korea carried out its sixth nuclear test, which was its biggest yet.

It has also carried out a series of missile tests, firing two ballistic missiles over Japan.

Mr Mattis has been in Asia where he has been trying to highlight the importance of diplomacy in solving the crisis.  Mattiss South Korean counterpart, Defence Minister Song Young-moo, dismissed the idea of deploying tactical nuclear weapons to the peninsula as a response to the Norths advances.

Tensions between the United States and the Korean Peninsula have soared following a series of nuclear and missile tests led by Kim Jong-Un.   .

Trump - who has threatened to destroy the North if necessary - leaves on his first trip as president to Asia next week, including a stop in South Korea to meet President Moon Jae-in.

Moon, after talks with Mattis on Friday, said the aggressive deployment of U.S. strategic assets in the region, which have included overflights by U.S. bombers, had been effective in deterring the North Korean threat.

U.S. intelligence experts say Pyongyang believes it needs the nuclear weapons to ensure its survival and have been skeptical about diplomatic efforts, focusing on sanctions, to get Pyongyang to denuclearise.

Mattis suggested, however, that Pyongyang needed to understand that its weapons programs would not strengthen its defences.  If it remains on its current path of ballistic missiles and atomic bombs, it will be counter-productive, Mattis said, adding North Korea would be reducing its security..

'First charges filed' in US investigation into alleged Russian election meddling - Duration: 2:26.

'First charges filed' in US investigation into alleged Russian election meddling

It is unclear what the charges are and no one has been named, according to CNN. The charges are reportedly sealed under orders from a federal judge. A spokesman for special counsel Robert Mueller has declined to comment.

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein appointed Mr Mueller to lead the investigation shortly after President Trump fired then-FBI Director James Comey in May of this year.

Mr Mueller is authorised to investigate any matters that arose or may arise directly from the investigation, according to Mr Rosenstein's order.

The special counsel's investigation has focused on potential collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia, as well as potential obstruction of justice by the President,  .

Donald Trump earlier this year called the investigation into his campaign's possible collusion with Russia a "total fabrication" as it kicked into a high gear.

The US President told his supporters at a raucous rally in West Virginia that those behind the inquiry were "trying to cheat you out of the future".

President Trump lashed out after it emerged that special counsel Robert Mueller, who is leading the Russia inquiry, had convened a grand jury in a bid to pursue criminal charges.

At the rally, Trump said: "Most people know there were no Russians in our campaign. We didn't win because of Russia, we won because of you.

"They can't beat us at the voting booths so they are trying to cheat you out of the future and the future that you want.".

U.S. Economy Grew at 3% Rate in 3rd Quarter, Despite Storms - Duration: 11:31.

U.S. Economy Grew at 3% Rate in 3rd Quarter, Despite Storms

In a show of resilience, the American economy grew at a solid pace in the latest quarter despite the impact of the hurricanes in Texas and Florida.

The nation's gross domestic product, a key indicator of economic strength, expanded at an annual rate of 3 percent in the third quarter, the Commerce Department reported on Friday.

The strong numbers could buoy President Trump and congressional Republicans as they continue their push to cut tax rates and overhaul the tax code.

Economists initially expected that Hurricanes Harvey and Irma would deal a blow to the country's steady growth, but became more optimistic in recent weeks. The destruction wrought by the storms was outweighed by the continued spending of consumers and businesses.

The job market is lively, and the stock market has rallied to record highs. Chief executives and consumers are more confident than they have been in more than a decade, recent surveys show.

"There are no real headwinds to growth for the first time since the expansion began," said Mark Zandi, the chief economist of Moody's Analytics.

"We are at full employment and we are in full swing, let the good times roll." Some Republicans are already pointing to the recent expansion as proof that tax cuts could push the growth rate above 3 percent for years to come — and that just the prospect of that happening is already having an effect.

Mr Trump made economic growth a political flash point during his campaign and has continued to do so since taking office, promising to reach heights that eluded his predecessor.

"On a yearly basis, as you know, the last administration, during an eight-year period, never hit 3 percent," Mr Trump said during a speech in Missouri in August.

Touting a strong quarter in the spring, when growth hit 3.1 percent, the president suggested that "we're really on our way" to sustaining that speed year-round.

The economy is experiencing its fastest growth spurt in two consecutive quarters since 2014, but economists say it is highly unlikely that growth for the year will reach 3 percent.

The first quarter was tepid, and projections for the current quarter hover around 2.8 percent.

The figures released on Friday also highlight the fine line Republicans are walking in selling their tax policy: They are celebrating faster growth while claiming tax reform is needed to accelerate it further.

Representative Kevin Brady, Republican of Texas and the chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, said in a statement on Friday that the Commerce Department data "reinforces the resilience of the American people." Republicans, he added, "will deliver on our tax reform promise this year — ushering in a new era of growth." Kevin Hassett, the chairman of the White House Council of Economic Advisers, asserted on Friday that companies were investing more, and driving growth higher, in expectation of a tax cut.

Failing to pass a tax bill, he said, would cause growth to slump and markets to tumble. "If you look at the G.D.P.

data, it's clear that is a major reason why capital spending has increased," he said, referring to expectations of a tax cut.

"If those expectations appear to be incorrect, I would expect capital spending to go back into decline." For now, economists are reluctant to give Congress or the administration too much credit for the economy's trajectory.

"There hasn't been anything concrete in terms of spending or tax cuts that we can point to that's fueling the acceleration," said Scott Anderson, chief economist at Bank of the West in San Francisco.

If anyone deserves credit for the good news, he said, it's the Federal Reserve chairwoman, Janet L. Yellen.

Yellen, whose four-year term ends in February, has pursued gradual increases of the Fed's benchmark interest rate in an effort to steer the economy toward steady growth without overheating.

The Fed is expected to raise rates when it meets in December. Mr Trump is publicly weighing whether to replace Ms.

Yellen, considering two possible successors, but has also signaled that he may decide to renominate her. "Markets would probably applaud her reappointment," Mr Anderson said.

Personal consumption, although down from the previous quarter, grew at a 2.4 percent rate, and nonresidential fixed investment, a measure of business spending, expanded at a robust rate of 3.9 percent.

Mr Zandi said the numbers were "a sign that consumers are hanging tough." At the same time, with a weak dollar making American goods more competitive abroad, international trade contributed positively to output for the third quarter in a row.

Spending on equipment increased at a rate of 8.6 percent, as companies poured money into capital improvements. Businesses may be investing in computers and industrial equipment in response to a tight labor market and rising wages, economists said.

"Businesses are going to be looking for more ways to produce than just adding bodies," Mr Anderson said. Hurricanes can disrupt an economy in obvious ways — ruining homes, incapacitating infrastructure, and slowing the flow of goods across the country.

The Houston metropolitan area is the country's fifth largest, accounting for 3 percent of national economic output, and the severe flooding brought on by Hurricane Harvey had an immediate impact on employment.

The country's economy shed 33,000 jobs in September, the first monthly drop in seven years.

But after the negative shock dissipates, the recovery from an extreme weather event can help the economy by creating new reasons for consumer spending, which represents roughly 70 percent of national output.

After the damage is done, people must often rebuild their homes or replace their cars, an effect that began to show up in the third quarter and will most likely continue through the end of the year.

"If you don't go out to eat during a hurricane, maybe you bought plywood for your house," said Robert Dye, chief economist at Comerica Bank.

"If you have the insurance and support, that tends to be a stimulus to the economy." Hurricanes Harvey and Irma left 600,000 to one million vehicles needing replacement, according to Cox Automotive, and Americans rushed to dealerships to recoup what they had lost.

Car sales spiked in September, reaching their highest level since 2005. The growth figure released on Friday was the government's first estimate of economic output for the quarter, and it will be revised twice.

It can be hard to accurately measure the full effect of a natural disaster immediately after it occurs, and so these numbers could swing up or down when the department revisits the period.

The American economy has performed considerably better this year than in 2016, when it grew at a halting 1.5 percent.

And things have been looking up, economically, for much of the world, which is enjoying a rare moment of widespread expansion. The International Monetary Fund upgraded its forecast for the pace of world growth twice this year.

"This is happening globally," Mr Zandi, the Moody's economist, said. "There isn't a single major economy that is in recession." A weak dollar has been a boon to exporters like David Ickert, vice president for Finance at Air Tractor Inc.

The company, which is based in Olney, Tex. a town of about 3,100 people west of Dallas, makes crop dusters and forestry firefighting planes for markets including European countries along the Mediterranean Sea, sub-Saharan Africa and South America.

Half of its sales are international. "Things are picking up — I sense it in Europe," Mr Ickert said.

He emphasized that the positive impact of trade at a broad level filters down to rural communities. "Trade helps create and sustain jobs in small-town America with a small business," he said.

Two civilian mariners rescued at sea by a U.S. Navy ship after being stranded in the

Pacific Ocean for almost five months didn't think they "would survive another 24 hours."

Jennifer Appel, an experienced sailor, and Natasha "Tasha" Fuiava, a sailing novice,

left Honolulu on their sailboat on May 3 with their two dogs, Valentine and Zeus, bound

for Tahiti, 2,600 miles away in the South Pacific.

Appel has sailed the Hawaiian Islands for the last 10 years and Fuiava was a security

guard at the pier where Appel's boat was located.

They became friends, and when it came time for Appel to leave, she asked Fuiava if she

wanted to come along, and Fuiava decided quickly that she was up for the adventure.

According to The Associated Press, the women said they survived because they had a water

purifier and enough food for one year.

US to be WIPED OUT by North Korea in nuclear war according to Biblical prophecy - Duration: 3:07.

US to be WIPED OUT by North Korea in nuclear war according to Biblical prophecy

American Pastor Greg Laurie, of Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside, California, believes the US could be obliterated in a nuclear war before the end of the world begins.

Pastor Laurie says the prophecy was revealed to him after he read the Bible and discovered there was no mention of a "reigning superpower" in the end days, which he has interpreted as the US being destroyed imminently.

He said: "Here is what concerns me. We do not find the reigning superpower on the face of the Earth anywhere in the Last Days scenario.

"So where is America? I pray we are not out of the picture, because we have been in some kind of nuclear conflict.".

As things stand, it would seem the nation most likely to attack the US with nuclear weapons would be North Korea.

But as Pastor Laurie points out, there is no mention of Kim Jong-Un's nation either – but it does talk about Iran which could assist North Korea by the Pastor's reckoning.

He said: "In the Last Days there is no mention of any nation that would resemble North Korea however the Bible does speak of Iran in the End Times scenario.  "You might be surprised to know there is an alignment of sorts between North Korea and Iran.

"In fact, former ambassador the United Nations John Bolton recently said if North Korea developed a delivery system for nuclear weapon Iran would have it the next day simply by writing a cheque."  North Korea has repeatedly threatened to use nuclear weapons and in its latest warning has told the US to take the threat "literally".  The Asian nation has been ramping up threats to the US and has increased testing of nuclear weapons in recent months.  The most recent test took place on September 3 at the Punggye-ri Test Site which was so powerful it was registered as a 5.7 magnitude earthquake by the South Korean government.

China and the US also registered it as an earthquake at at even-stronger 6.3 magnitude.

Kim Jong-un also issued another warning to the US as a senior diplomat from Pyongyang said warnings of a possible atmospheric nuclear test over the Pacific Ocean should be taken "literally".  Mr Trump is set to make a visit to Asia next week in a bid to highlight his campaign to put pressure on North Korea to give up its nuclear and missile programmes.
