Building From A Blank Page #2 - Building A Custom Header - Sitejet Tutorial - Duration: 12:46.

Go to +Add Content and choose Add Preset.

Here you can choose between header presets.

Double Click or Drag & Drop the preset into the dashed line area in the canvas.

Double click an element to go into edit mode. You can change texts right there as well.

You can edit your element in more detail using the HTML function

Save with the disc icon or by pressing [CTRL + S]

This is your Config CSS. All presets will be automatically defined and styled here.

This is your Custom CSS. Use this to overwrite Config Styles or add your own.

Each preset and its variables are represented here as well and can be edited as needed.

The same values and variables are inside the preset settings for easy editing. They both affect one another.

Let's change the logo image! Double click the image to open the settings.

Choose an image after clicking inside the dashed bordered area.

You can determine whether the image will link somewhere or not.

Tick Use as Headline to turn it into an <h1> Headline. Make sure to give it an Alt-tag as well!

Save regularly! [CTRL + S]

Access the navigation by Double-clicking the menu.

Change, add or remove items using the + and - Icons. You can also drag them around to change order.

Save! [CTRL + S]

Let's change the menu wrapper to full width.

Adding a new headline. Also try using [CTRL + 1]

Let's add some spacer elements [CTRL + 5].

Change height by either dragging or using the input to the left.

Drag and Drop it into another positon. Watch the orange snap lines.

Let's change the background image to a slider and add some images. Start by clicking the inner container.

You can select multiple images while holding [CTRL]. This puts them in the order you clicked them.

Change settings like Fade/Slide, Slider Navigation or Parallax Effects and color overlays here.

Now can style the header contents a bit. Use the Custom CSS for your style overrides.

You can look up classes of elements by going to the element's settings and check Markup & Style.

Changing the logo size. This can be done on the element directly, it is advised to style it in CSS though.

We can now style the headline with the added HTML from earlier.

You can change viewports easily under View for the most crucial breakpoints.

Let's change this icon element while we are at it. This imports the SVG of icons based on popular icon fonts.

In the boilerplate you find some helpful classes. Like hiding elements based on viewport.

You can also find the predetermined breakpoints in the boilerplate. Overwrite anything here in the Config CSS.

Let's add a hover style for our button.

Using animations can create a cool effect. We've got a small but useful bunch already implemented.

You can copy and paste animations from one element to another.

Make sure to check your header in all major viewports. Preview mode can also be accessed with [CTRL + P]

And this is our finished header, fully responsive and easy to customize. We hope you learned something new!

Thanks for watching!

Revealed: Toughest place in Northern Ireland to build a home - Duration: 3:33.

Mid Ulster Council approved 98% of all planning applications received in the last 12 months, it has emerged

Derry City and Strabane District Council approved more than 97% - the second highest percentage of all 11 council areas in Northern Ireland

Across Northern Ireland, the average was 94%.  The hardest place in Northern Ireland to get an application granted last year was in Newry, Mourne and Down, which agreed 88% of the applications it received

Planning statistics for 2017/18 were released yesterday by the Department of Infrastructure

They show there were 12,933 planning applications received in 2017/18 - a drop of nearly 1% over the previous financial year

That comprised 12,770 local, 161 major and two regionally significant development applications

In total, 12,314 planning applications were decided, a decrease of 5% over the previous year

That is less than half the peak level of 30,161 decisions recorded in 2005/06, before the economic downturn

The number of planning applications decided has remained fairly stable since 2012/13

The average processing time for major applications was just over 50 weeks across all councils

That is down significantly from the 69 weeks reported for the previous year, but still well over the statutory processing time target of 30 weeks

Only one council, Mid and East Antrim, met the processing time target during 2017/18
