The Queen spoke fondly of Royal Ascot in the foreword for this year's programme. She said: "My family and I greatly look forward to Royal Ascot

"Tradition and innovation sit comfortably together over five days of racing."It has been a week of high drama for the Royals, with the Duchess of Sussex making her first appearance at the prestigious event

On Wednesday, the Queen watched her horse, Seniority, run in the afternoon's Royal Hunt Cup

Seniority failed to take the top spot, losing out to Settle for Bay who ran away with the title

But, with Royal Ascot being such a firm favourite in the Royal Family's calendar, how many times has Her Majesty had something to celebrate at the summer meet?

Since her first meeting as Sovereign in 1952, the Queen has won a total of 23 times at Ascot

It didn't take long for her to get her first win, with one of her horses taking first place just one year later

The 1953 meet was just a couple of weeks after her coronation, so made a great start to her reign

However, the most momentous win of all was fairly recently, when Her Majesty got to enter the winner's enclosure in 2013

In that year, her horse, Estimate, made Queen Elizabeth the first reigning monarch to win the prestigious Gold Cup

It was a close race, but the Queen was seen celebrating as her horse took home the prize

Between 1999 and 2008, the Queen wasn't so lucky, and went almost a decade without a win at the races

That came to an end with Free Agent, who won the Chesham Stakes on just his second career race start

The Queen has a couple of other entries running this week, with Elector racing later today and Call To Mind set to compete on Saturday

How Many Mass Extinctions Have Happened On Earth? - Duration: 4:05.

Hey there, welcome to Life Noggin!

More animal species have gone extinct in the last 500 years than in the last 20 million

years combined.

And incredible creatures like lions, whales, tigers OH MY! and elephants that used to roam freely

in huge numbers are now approaching extinction.

The number of wild lions has dropped 95% since only the 1950s.

With 75% of all species expected to disappear in the next 300 years, scientists believe

that we're experiencing the sixth mass extinction on Earth.

And it's the fastest one ever recorded.

Many of the previous extinctions lasted hundreds of thousands and even millions of years.

But this one seems to be happening in the blink of an eye.

While scientists have found this is due to human activities, the causes for the other

five mass extinctions aren't so crystal clear.

The most recent K-T extinction wiped out the dinosaurs 65 million years ago.

And the general consensus is that an asteroid impact in Mexico is what caused it, but many

scientists also point to major volcanic eruptions in India as a likely cause.

Both of these catastrophes would've stirred up so much dust and debris that they'd block

out sunlight, which is necessary for all kinds of life.

But how did dinosaurs die, while creatures like frogs, alligators, birds, and lizards

survived?

We may never know, but selectiveness is a theme in mass extinctions.

During the Triassic-Jurassic extinction about 200 million years ago, there was a mass die

off of marine creatures and amphibians, but interestingly, plants weren't really affected.

About three quarters of all living species went extinct during this event.

It's thought that this was caused by a massive influx of carbon dioxide from major volcanic

activity that acidified the oceans and raised air temperatures.

Before that, there was the Permian mass extinction which has ever so pleasantly been nicknamed

"The Great Dying". Which is a fantastic name for an emo band. Just saying!

This was the worst extinction event, wiping out 95% of all species on Earth, including

insects which is very rare.

High CO2 levels in the ocean, massive influxes of methane from sea beds and permafrost, and

volcanic eruptions are all considered possible causes.

Going back even further, we find the Late Devonian extinction about 360 million years

ago.

This extinction was especially prolonged, lasting about 20 million years, and about

75% of all species were killed off.

Marine life were especially affected due to a lack of oxygen in the oceans, but sharks

survived though, so that's… good I guess.

There are lots of things that could've prompted this - from changing sea levels to

new plants altering soil environments.

The very first mass extinction we know of is the Late Ordovician extinction that took

place 450 million years ago.

Around this time, a huge ice age caused sea levels to drop, ocean currents to reroute,

and oxygen levels in the water to drop drastically.

At this point, almost all life still lived in the sea and these events caused 85% of

all marine plants and animals to go extinct.

Some creatures like trilobites and brachiopods survived though.

But the big question is, will humans die off in this current extinction?

The answer really depends on how plants fare in this war.

They provide us with food and medicine, and absorb an incredible amount of CO2, keeping

global warming a bit more at bay.

But it's thought that if plants reach major extinction levels, humans could be next.

So get out there and water those plants like your life depends on it, because it actually does this time.

Do you have a favorite animal that went extinct? Is it the dodo? Because I love the dodo

Let me know in the comment section below.

speaking of extinct animals, should humans even try to bring them back?

check out this video where we explored just that!

IG Report Uncovered Five Anti-Trump FBI Agents – Guess How Many of Them Ended Up on Mueller's Team - Duration: 2:24.

Robert Mueller's sham of a witch-hunt just took yet another blow.

Thanks to the recently released and very damning IG report, we know now that THREE more blatantly

anti-Trump FBI agents were part of the useless and debunked Deep State "probe."

Mueller is wasting piles of hard working taxpayers money, continuing on with this ridiculous

"investigation."

It's time to end it the Mueller probe, now.

After over a year of intense investigation, there is still not one shred of evidence suggesting

President Trump colluded with the Russians to "steal" the election from the very

unpopular and disliked Hillary Clinton.

From Washington Times

Three of the five FBI employees dinged for anti-Trump bias in the inspector general's

report ended up on the special counsel's investigation into Donald Trump's presidential

campaign, raising still more questions about the team Robert Mueller assembled.

Two of those — FBI lawyer Lisa Page and her paramour, agent Peter Strzok — became

known when their vehemently anti-Trump text messages came to light.

But the inspector general's report identifies a third person, labeled "FBI Attorney 2,"

who also fired off messages denigrating Mr. Trump and saying, "Viva le resistance."

None of the three is still on the special counsel's team.

Ms. Page left weeks after the investigation opened, and Mr. Strzok departed after a couple

of months when his anti-Trump messages came to light.

Attorney 2, identified by Rep. Mark Meadows this week as Kevin Clinesmith, was ousted

from the investigation in February after the inspector general found his messages.

Mr. Clinesmith also sent co-workers political jokes about Mr. Trump, including one instant

message after the election saying, "I am so stressed about what I could have done differently."

According to the report, Mr. Clinesmith worked on the 2016 probe into Hillary Clinton's

email use, then worked on the FBI's original investigation into the Trump campaign and,

eventually, with the special counsel's investigation into Mr. Trump's presidential campaign.

The inspector general described Mr. Clinesmith as the primary FBI attorney assigned to the

Russia investigation when it started in early 2017.
