Hi everyone Heather here and today I'm going to show you 20 ways to wear a
scarf, use the scarf or pashmina, show all those kind of things... did I just
say really 20?... and I've got all kinds of
ideas for you and ways you can really extend your wardrobe. I've got them for
beach wear, I have them for business wear, casual wear, winter wear, I've got 20
let's get to them...
So just before we get started I'm going to be showing you all kinds of different
kinds of scarfs and kerchiefs and pashminas, and I think that's what they're called,
anyway and I'm going to do the demonstrations fairly slowly because I
want you, especially if I'm tying something, to really understand how I put
it together and you can really see how a scarf really lights up your face with
some color and some patterns and that sort of thing also because you want them
I am going to link from the first comment back to my blog and you can find
scarves very very similar to what I'm showing you and hey if you do get
something from there we do make a little bit of commission I want to let you know
that and thank you we really appreciate that if you do. So my number one scarf, I
love this scarf, this is actually probably my number one scarf because
it's got a beautiful pattern on it ,it's very, very thin and watch this... I'm just
going to roll this up now I'm wearing this with a jean jacket but really you
could wear it with a coat, you could wear it with a dress, a suit, so many
things and all I'm going to do, I'm going to make sure that there's a nice sort of
pattern showing on the outside here and what I'm going to do is I'm just going
to make a loop like this, put it around my head, I'm just gonna make sure that
this looks nice, oh yeah those colors are gorgeous and I actually did a video
utilizing this whole Jean look and I'll I'll put it up there somewhere for you
but how fast did that take me and it looks fantastic, it took like ten seconds,
this is my go-to scarf, gone in ten seconds. So my number two scarf, it's more
of a narrow scarf ,again I'm going with a really pretty pattern on this and I'm
wearing kind of a jacket look, you know something that you would probably wear
to business or whatever but it kind of looks boring, so what I'm gonna do with
this scarf ,my wardrobe extender, is I am going to tie a knot in the ends of this
making it into more of an infinity kind of scarf and let me just sort of do
this, all I do, watch my hair, but just gonna do
something like this, make this one a little bit longer maybe fluff it out a
bit, over my jacket. I'm ready for the meeting.
Okay so staying with the narrow scarf, I put my hair up for you so it'll take a
little less time, alright so I'm just going to do the same sort of thing
making a loop in my hand putting it through, this is very similar to the
first one but this time what I'm going to do is I'm going to put this through
without putting it all the way through and then this one it's a little bit
longer so I'm going to put this one through it's gonna happen, there we go
and I'm just gonna look here and you can see when you start to fluff these out
you can put it on the side a little bit if you'd like but you've got a lovely
look for a scarf. Alright so, oh by the way I want to thank all of you my
subscribers for giving me these great ideas of videos you want to see and I
had a few of you say that you really wanted to see me do a scarf video so
because of you I'm doing this so thanks so much for the suggestions keep them
coming but for number 4, I'm still on this one because I'm trying to show you
a few of the tying techniques and for this one I've got a cardigan on but
again it's a lovely pattern one I'm going to loop it around my neck like
this I'm just gonna sort of fluff it up a little bit now yes you could sort of
do that kind of look which looks very pretty or if you wanted to you
could sort of hide these a little bit into the scarf you could even put it off
to the side a little bit and you have a very nice look for a cardigan,
jacket, top, whatever and number five we have kind of a pashmina, sorry if I'm
pronouncing this wrong, some people are saying for pashmina, pashmini, so anyway
and it has some nice little tassels on it ,you can sort of get an idea of the
size of this now I'm wearing the same cardigan but watch how we can change the
look of this, just kind of rolling it up a little bit and I'm going to twist it
just twist it a little bit like this and then put it down and kind of fly it over
my shoulder a little bit and let those tassels shine and shine down here... wow
I've really changed the look and extended my wardrobe on this one. So
number six I'm going to use this square beautiful silk scarf. Have you ever got a
scarf and you're... yeah thank you so much (I don't see myself wearing that scarf)
I'm going to show you probably four different ways you can use this scarf
that's probably in the closet somewhere, so what I'm going to do with this one is
I'm just going to roll it, roll it maybe actually roll it from this side because
then you get all the different colors so roll it all up, this is when we need the
music in the background but a lot of you guys said you didn't like the music
so it,s just me baby, then once a while I may start singing so there you go, so I've
rolled it up like this, now watch what you can do with this baby
making it into a lovely choker and I'm going to do a little knot here
you don't want it too tight around your neck but maybe something like that
does that look pretty ? Number seven, I'm sticking with the scarf that I got and
I'm just going to show you something about the tags now this is a teeny-weeny
tag but usually they're a lot bigger than this um be really super careful get
a sharp pair of scissors but cut those babies off it's kind of like when you
find out you've been walking around all day on your back, you know labels been
sticking out all day. People go to all the work of making a nice scarf but
they're in a rush and there's the tag sticking out so I just like to cut those
babies off. So for this one I'm wearing really one of my favorite vests it's
a nice vest but it you know could use a little bit of sprucing up right now with
this video, so what I'm going to do is I'm making this into like a kerchief
kind of look I'm going to put it over my head no don't worry dizzy the wonderful
Shelby so I'm going to tie in here and everybody's shutting down, going no I don't
like it, no wait we're gonna do this and what we're going to do is we're going to
pull that off like that and we're going to bring the V down a little bit... voila
Alright so my number 8 look is kind of looking like a kerchief look and if you
remember the 60s and I kind of remember the 60s being 62 this look was really
popular and hey guess what everything old is new again?! The retro look is back
so all I did was I made that beautiful scarf into a triangle tied it around my
head and then I just sort of took the ends and I'm also going to I tied them
and now I'm going to tie them once again so that it's secure, there we go and yeah
you know what and if we're gonna really rock that look... this really works for if
you come out at the beach and your hair's all frizzy or if it's starting to
rain, something like this you just put it in your purse and it's ready to go or in
your pocket and let's just really rock this look, there you go. All right so my
number 9 scarf idea... scratch what I just said about putting the scarf in your
purse, put it on the outside of your purse, so got my trusty black purse here
and I just sort of squished this up a little bit like this now I'm gonna make
a loop and I put this through the loop and there you go it's a nice little
accessory it goes well with my outfit and I got a scarf ready
if it rains, if it snows, if it gets too hot I'm ready to go here . So number 10,
hey what would a scarf video be without a few winter scarfs and hey if you if
you're living in the warmer climates don't turn it off yet because
I'm going to get to some beach wear I'm gonna get to some party wear so we'll do
a few of these and then we'll get going on those but love this camel coat and I
just got it not too long ago. I absolutely love it and I'm going to do a video on
winter styles, winter fashion so but take a look at this scarf now this is fake
fur but they are making some incredible faux fur now and you know what I'm going
with fake fur, got to tell you that it's fake fur for me so here we go and I'm
going to sort of, button up my coat a little bit, but you can see already what
it's doing to kind of amp up this coat a little bit with its look, now I could do
it just kind of leave it like that or there's actually a little loop here that
you can sort of put it through like that and it really looks nice I also have a
few of these I have them also in black fur so there's different
ones and I want to show you one more addition that I got for this look and I
absolutely love it, there you go Tres Chic. Now another great scarf for
winter, it's a blanket scarf, now as you can see this is wool, it's a
little bit heavy but for the most part maybe, yeah it's still Fall or it's not
as cold as you thought it might be so we just sort of put it underneath the coat
collar, just trying to get this looking straight for you guys, and of course this
color is really nice with this and we just sort of put it around like that
it's giving again another totally different look for the coat, however you
know how you finish work and oh my gosh what happened? It's freezing, freezing
outside so let me just button up my coat, oh it's freezing what am I gonna do ?No
problem you now can keep your face warm you could keep your head warm like this
thing is really going to help you get through all of the the extra snow that's,
extra snow that's coming out on the ground and keep yourself warm you don't
want to get frostbitten. Now many of you probably have a black leather jacket or
some kind of a leather jacket now I would suggest that you buy a scarf
similar to this for winter and again we're just going to get a little bit
close up about the material it's a very silky type of material and it goes
really, really well with the leather, now I'm just going to show that normal one
that I showed right from the very beginning you loop it through like this
and now your neck is really warm I mean the leather is nice and it keeps you
warm but you know I find that I really want to make sure that my neck is
warm, keep yourself warm. Okay so sticking with the leather jacket
kind of look, let's look at this sparkly infinity
type of scarf here and let's add a little bit of sparkle let's make this a
little bit more of a casual look so that's all you do with an infinity scarf
that's basically it and I'm just going to add, because this is the kind of look
that I'll do, let's just say that I'm, I don't know, I'm gonna go for a nice
little walk somewhere, maybe I'm going to go on a date with my husband or
something like this and it's really quite fun. So my number 14 I'm gonna show
you with this new coat. I got this coat to show you in my winter fashion and I
haven't even worn it out yet but I'm wearing it for this video, yeah but
there's something I notice about this coat and that is the hood, I tried on
all kinds of hoods and they were all like this which is great if it's
freezing cold outside, not so great if you're anywhere near a road because I
see people doing this all the time... they're walking on the street and
they're just like this, yeah the wind is not getting into your face, the snows not
getting into your face but there could be a car that's close by, so let's really
stay safe out there, the hoods work if you maybe have a toque on top or
something because then it kind of holds it up a little bit but really I've got
this beautiful infinity wool scarf that I'm going to show you and please stay
safe out there and I'm just going to wrap it around twice I know I'm messing
up my hair but this one is really like a public service announcement because I
want you and your kids and the kids, everybody, to stay safe out there so now
I have this I might want to put a nice little white Tam on or some white gloves
some nice little wool white gloves but if it's going to get cold outside I'm
just going to do this, bear with me and I'm going to do this
and I'm gonna see where those cars are because keep it safe please. So for
number 15... I almost forgot about keeping it fun! So I'm back in my camel coat and
what I have here is a beautiful chiffon leopard kind of print here and I just
love it it's kind of fun, you know, like if I'm going out on a date with Bill or
something, it just it just changes your whole mood too
to put something on and change the look a little bit here, let me just, I do put
it underneath my collar I think that it it looks quite nice like that and there
you are I'm ready for my date. All right so let's
go to a different season Summertime, warm weather and that sort of thing, take a
look at this little teeny-weeny scarf, alright I can put it in my purse but
guess what it's not so teeny-weeny, it's a fabulous find, look at this it's so,
it's nice, big it's an infinity scarf a very, very thin material but let's just
say that I'm off to a summer concert and all of a sudden you know what it's like
it starts getting really cold or you're by the water and where did that breeze come
from? So what we're going to do is, I'm going to make myself a shawl so what I
do is I just sort of put this on, take a look over here and I've got
my arms nice and warm now. Considering maybe I'm wearing a
sleeveless top or something so now my arms are nice and warm my neck is nice
and warm even if it started to rain I could just sort of go like this and stay
dry so it's just a fabulous, fabulous find. So number 17 is when you kind of
get glammed up and you're going to a gala or a party or something really
special but here you are maybe in a lovely strapless dress or spaghetti
straps but the guys are there in tuxedos or suits and ties and
they're like "hey buddy that's really hot in here you want to turn that air conditioning
on or open up a window.|" all the sudden you're freezing, so this little
baby, this scarf solution as you can see it's
really in a kind of chiffon again, it's very sparkly so it goes with the kind of
Gala feel and what I do is I guess yank it out of my purse and it actually will
fit in a clutch purse and all of a sudden I'm going to be a little bit
warmer now, if I want to add something to this there are these little loop scarf
loops that you can buy and I'll link those within my blog as well and let me
just show you what you can do, here you just sort of put this through like this
to it, a bit like that again, you want to keep yourself a little warm and all the
sudden you have a very, very pretty look for when you're freezing at the gala.
Alright so number 18, we're still at the party but this is a different party,
but do you really want to keep buying a new dress for every single party or gala
or whatever? Even if you've seen those people before I don't know, it's up
to you but maybe you can sort of recreate the dress you have with
something a little bit different, so I'm going to show you this beautiful scarf
and again it's kind of chiffon and you can see that it has a little bit of a
velvet texture they're not really inexpensive but they certainly can make
a difference to what you're wearing so all of a sudden you know you are wearing
something a little bit different, a little bit more lacy and what I might
even do with something like this is I might get a red scarf and really, really
change the look a little bit and again with those little looping jewelry items
if you did want to sort of go a little bit more like this and do a clip like
that... absolutely beautiful. So number 19, hey I finally made it away
to a beach some place and you got your little
bathing suit on but you're walking along the beach with your hubby and all of a
sudden there's this amazing restaurant, you want to stop there...
well guys are so lucky because they're shorts or bathing shorts turn into a
pair of shorts and they always have a t-shirt with them but what about you?
Well if you've got this kind of scarf in your bag and let me show you what I can
do cuz of course Bill's gonna be looking at me and sort of saying.. "well you know
what we can't go because look at you you can't walk in there with a little
two-piece bathing suit on" but I've got this baby so what I'm gonna
do is I'm just gonna take the ends here and let me just, there you go,
and so what I'm gonna do is I'm just gonna tie a knot in the back ...wait for it
because it just takes you, you know literally just a few seconds to say "wait
a minute ", then "I'm just gonna make this up I got myself one of, number 19 scarf
on Heather's video", and yeah tie it tight because you don't want the darn thing
falling off and then you sort of say to him "hey I'm ready" and if you can see
it's a really nice dressy look. Now just before we get to number 20 I just wanted
to show you another look, all I did was wrap the whole scarf around me, tied it
in a bow and it went really nice with my straps so if you get yourself a scarf
that really kind of matches your bathing suit that'll work too... but that's not my
number 20, my number 20, remember this blue scarf that I showed you? Now watch
this, this is again for beach, I'm going to take the ends I'm gonna tie and knot
about there I'm gonna take another end
Aaahh, this is where we need the music anyway,
because we're not putting music in... I think it's because it sounded okay with
us the music, but everybody has different kinds of, you
know computers and sound systems and for some of them that just really drowned
out my voice, so anyway, so I've done all four okay what the heck is that
Heather, what are you trying to do here? Well think about how inexpensive a scarf
is and you're going to the beach now instead of bringing like a really
expensive tote or your wonderful Beach leather tote or something like that... hey
yeah there's a time and place for that but let's say you're just running down
to some Beach ,super crowded but you gotta bring your towel so this little
baby are you all ready for this , remember all those ends that I tied what I'm
going to do right now is I'm going to tie these two, tie that and you can
still use this as a scarf so we're also making sure that we're not packing a
great big tote, which these days really just kind of adds weight and everything
to it as well ,so I've done that end and I'm going to do this little end here
wait for it... this is a really cool idea I think so I'm going to tie that in and
pack some nicely in my suitcase and everything and here's what I'm gonna do
with my big towel I'm throwing it in, there just throw it in my beach bag...
I made a beach bag! So there you go I can sort of put that whoops sorry about that
I can sort of put that on the beach and you know what's this it's not really
expensive if I lose it yeah, so I can get a lot into this scarf beach bag
real simple and of course pick up the colors that match your bathing suit it's
awesome. So there you have it great scarf ideas and you know else looks good in a
scarf, little Hurricane here, yeah you look really cute is it
extending your wardrobe? You bet it is and by the way Hurricane and I would
