Auto news on Youtube Jul 6 2018

What's up, guys?! Thank God, it's Friday or, probably. Saturday..

Depends on how effective I am in editing this video. I have no clear plan on what we are talking about today,

I haven't written you know the script

So let's talk about random stuff and I'll edit it somehow to make it.. whole.

First of all, I want to thank you, guys, for leaving your comments and saying "Hey Dima. Why don't we,

you know, have more videos in English?" I appreciate that and I think that's a good idea

I realized that I don't really have a lot of, you know, speaking practice, and

you can clearly hear that. I think in order to

understand the speech you have to listen a lot; in order to, you know, express yourself

you have to do that all the time! You have to speak.. to be able to speak you have to speak.

I don't speak a lot now

I speak English like once a week on Fridays when I have my skypes when I translate

But generally I don't really speak English. I read in English I write.. sometimes in English

I, you know, listen, but I don't speak and that's

Pathetic. I think that's pathetic. The thing is even though you might know English

Well, I think I know it pretty well. Well, yeah pretty well

You've got to have practice because if you have no practice for a pretty long time

you.. your skill kind of goes down.

You know, I realized that making those videos in English is as complicated and challenging

for me, as you know making videos in Russian two years ago. I was super stressed

I was super afraid of, you know, doing something wrong

well, maybe not as afraid as

You know

Let me rephrase maybe now. I'm not as afraid as, say, two years ago, but I don't really feel

Comfortable partly because I don't have all this practicing going on constantly

So I am I start thinking on, you know about having more practice. So that's gonna be one of the ways to have this

Practice. So thank you guys again for suggesting this practice. I think we will try and make those, you know, English

"podcasts" every Friday this month and see what.. what happens and

Probably I'll start planning things ahead because today I was just..

I know that I have to make I've gotta make video in English

Because I I promised and I'm trying to keep my promises

Starting this month. So, I thought "okay, what's gonna be the topic?" and I was..

"I don't know. I have no idea". I thought maybe we could, you know, just discuss the previous video

But I wasn't sure and it was getting late and it's about 7:00 pm already

And and I was like: "Okay. I failed in writing a script

I failed in creating a plan for this video

so the only thing I have time to do is just to set the camera set the lights at the microphone and just

shoot something". So, sorry, guys, if it looks and feels and sounds a little chaotic

cha-otic, I think that's the right way to pronounce that and.. and yeah, it's challenging. It's really challenging. It really is!

Talking about the previous video: I was super excited

reading all those comments you left!

I was you know, when I was making that video I was like "we-ell,

It's kind of complicated, maybe overcomplicated. The topic itself was complicated,

because it took me a couple of years to, you know, try and build all this, you know

structure.. to structure it all in my mind and then writing this script and then making this video and then

after I made this video, after I edited that and watched, that for. you know, dozen of times I was like

Well, it kind of feels complicated

So, I wasn't.. I wasn't..

I didn't think that the video will

Take off but it took off and you left a lot of comments

I think now it's about, you know, five hundred comments. Just.. just think about that!

five! hundred! of comments!

below a video that has I think less than ten thousand views

I think that's an absolute record on this channel. So, thank you guys. Thank you for participating

Thank you for you know trying to translate this

complicated test.. text, right :)

it WAS complicated and I made it even more complicated

when I translated that into Russian

So, good job, and I.. I thought you did a really good job

So I have to do another good job and read all that

I think we are going to have something like that

Maybe we'll have another you know video about how to translate

From English into Russian, from Russian into English and I'll try to, you know,

probably expand on this idea that you..

You don't need to and you shouldn't translate words

You have to translate thoughts, the whole idea, from one language to another

I'll think about that and probably will have another video like that. Probably some, you know translation masterclass

Taking into consideration that just today this morning I received an email

That I was really pleased about it was a feedback on my recent translation

There was a super complicated text, super professional

I mean it was WAY too complicated for me and it took me a month to translate this text

It was about thirty seven pages or something.

And.. and I.. I looked at this at the text and I was like: "oh, that's a bunch of crap"

I did a really terrible job because when you translate things you don't properly understand like 100%

Your translation tend to be, you know, low level

Not not really bright. So I thought the text was a disaster, but then I got this feedback and I read that

Uuh.. the editor actually loved this work of mine

This translation and she said that it was the first time she was really pleased. She was really enjoying

Reading someone's translation and editing that and I was super excited about that

professionally, right?.. The point is there's gonna be another video about translation because I feel like

Okay, so somebody admitted that I'm a decent translator.. interpreter, of course

So, I might probably make a masterclass or something about translations.

So, somebody in the comments asked me not to make those Friday videos longer than, say, 10 minutes

Because after 10 minutes of listening foreign language

if you're not prepared, your mind kind of shuts down

So I think that's it for today guys. That was a very random podcast

and I think it was a hundred percent podcast: just a guy speaking and you know talking

synonyms here about something and

Well, there's no strategy. It's.. it's random. So please leave the comments below guys on

Should we really?

Keep doing that. I think we

Anyways, we'll keep doing that for this month and we'll see your reaction. And, please, guys..

I.. I saw in the comments that there were like five people, I think, who offered me their help in, you know, editing subtitles.

So, guys, if you're there, please help me create subtitles for this video

I will share a link to the page where you can create those subtitles for this video

and if you do that, I will be

Super grateful to you. I will really appreciate that

So the link is gonna be somewhere below

Thanks for watching guys, and I.. I hope you enjoyed me speaking English with you. Have a nice weekend guys

I'm not gonna have any days out this week

so, again, Friday, Saturday, it doesn't matter, but I hope you will.. So, see you again, guys, on Monday, hopefully and.. Bye :)
