Venus, Serena Williams Bring Star Power to Mubadala Silicon Valley Classic at San Jose State Univer - Duration: 3:18.
Venus, Serena Williams Bring Star Power to Mubadala Silicon Valley Classic at San Jose State University
An annual women's tennis tournament in the Bay Area may have a new name and new location, but its star power remains the same.
The Mubadala Silicon Valley Classic at San Jose State University, previously known as the Bank of the West Classic at Stanford, will feature the legendary Williams sisters.
On Monday, big crowds gathered just to watch Venus and Serena Williams practice session.
Serena has won the tournament three times, while Venus has won it twice.
For Venus, the memories of the tournament go back 24 years to when it was played in Oakland.
"The tournament has so much history," Venus said.
"This was my first professional event so each rendition of it has a special place in my heart because of that.".
Venus was 14 back then and turned 38 last month.
She has accomplished a lot since being a seven-time major champion.
Venus is also currently ranked 14th in the world and finds her self seeded No.
3 this week.
"If you can't play, there is no room for you here," Venus said of the Mubadala Silicon Valley Classic.
"You will be pushed out and beaten down.
So I work hard, and I love it.
I've still got some talent in my body to play this game.".
Fellow American and defending champion Madison Keys drew inspiration from both Williams sisters.
"I think they're both vital to the sport.
They have both been through so much and the fact that they're out here and they still love it," Keys said.
"They're still competitive (and) really inspiring.
If I can even do half as much as they've done, then I'd be really, really proud of myself.".

Vintage Inspired Classic Makeup - How I did my makeup for my Wedding! - Duration: 24:01.
hey everyone welcome to my channel my name is Justine thank you so much for
stopping by if you're new to my channel welcome today I am doing a how I did my
makeup on my wedding type of video this weekend will mark two years that I've
been with my husband Carlos so I did kind of want to just hop on and share
with you guys all of my Holy Grail products from my wedding most of the
products are still part of my vanity part of my daily routine I usually pick
one or two items from this whole group of items because they are so good and so
I chose them specifically for my wedding and all of it photographed beautifully
so to kind of get in the spirit of it all I am wearing my robe that says
bright on it that I did kind of pick up for the wedding specifically I'm wearing
my very favorite hair accessories that I picked up as well and just kind of get
in you know take me back to memory lane so without further ado if you want to
see how I got this look then just keep watching during that time I did already
have a pretty good routine with my makeup of products that I really loved
and I didn't use a primer though I had not started using a specific primer what
I did like to do was put on the Murad oil control mattifier and that was
pretty much like my primer it has like a very thick glue consistency to it so I
what I used to do is put a serum around the perimeter of my face and I don't
have that serum so I did go ahead today and just put a lightweight moisturizer
on I used Mario Badescu this is the oil-free moisturizer and I
put it around just these areas all around my face and down my neck and then
what I used to do was take some of the Murad oil control and I would just Pat
this on my t-zone and that's how I used to control oil all right so after I put
on all of my lotions and primed my skin really well my foundation that I used
was of course Estee Lauder's Double Wear I'm in the colored 1w2 sand I was able
to pick up a 10-day supply at Estee Lauder at the counter so let's go ahead
and apply this to my face I did use a Beauty Blender but I'm just gonna take
it off my hand though and just kind of spot or just kind of put it on my face
first I'm gonna go in with my Beauty Blender and blend it out you do have to
work really quick with this
so we had our wedding in Las Vegas Nevada we did do it at the Hilton I
think it was the Hilton Garden Inn it wasn't exactly on the strip but I did
like the venue it was kind of like tropical themed and initially we really
wanted to get married in Hawaii but it's very expensive to get married in Hawaii
and we thought this was kind of like the best compromise we could do so that our
parents could be there and you know our friends so it worked out really well it
was really pretty um the area was really pretty I have a
burn here from a couple days ago I burnt my forehead with my curling iron which I
haven't done in years and so it's healing now it's been here for about I
want to say like four days now it's starting to scab
I just put my hair up today and a fun I was lucky enough to have one of my best
friends Amanda with me and my aunt Donna with me who are both hair stylists and
they were able to do my hair for my wedding
so that so once you get to the cover adjust you
want which this is really really buildable that's why I really love this
foundation because I can go in spots like on my cheek where it's a little bit
more a little bit more like hyperpigmentation and acne scarring I
tend to breakout right there as well and underneath my chin if I'm using a Beauty
Blender with this foundation helps it to be the most natural alright so for my
concealer I am using a bye-bye under-eye illumination and this I have had for at
least three years not this particular one this is a repurchase but I've been
using bye-bye under-eye for years and when the illumination came out I jumped
on that and it's really really really good at concealing under eyes so I did
use this on my wedding day I think this was before shape tape came out but I'm
not 100% sure two years ago shaped teeth was out and
if it was I hadn't tried it out yet I don't think I'm pretty sure shape tape
would have been one of my concealers that I would have taken but this one
works just as well - I think the main difference between
the by by elimination and the shape tape is shape tape is really crease proof so
it does dry down a little bit more dry and Matt you really don't even need to
set it but it does kind of tend to dry out my under-eye sometime so I don't
like to use it all the time I do kind of alternate this concealer
with the Hartman and I do like to use my finger when I blend out concealer I do
have like a brush for this but I think the best coverage is the warmth of your
finger it's really going to give you the best result and the thing about this
concealer too is a little bit goes a really really long way so when you
purchase this I'm not sure how much it is retail but I'm sure it's like a
sticker shock to a lot of people but look at the tube the tube is huge and
this thing will last you forever let me tell you it is definitely a great
investment all right so I do set my under eye with a different powder I've
always been using the covergirl this is the advanced radiance powder and creamy
natural and I've used this for years just because it's one of the only
powders that's a little bit more silky under the eye I don't like it to dry out
I don't like like the oil control type of powders or any of the powders I
usually use on my face those are usually going to help me with oil but I don't
want that underneath my eye so I do take a small sponge and I go into the compact
and I just press it underneath my eye and pressing the product in is going to
help prevent creasing because that's one downfall from this concealer is it does
tend to crease a little bit if you don't set it and if you use too much of it so
you have to kind of play with it and see and then I'm going to go ahead and set
my face with my absolute favorite powder for the face which is Kat Von D's
translucent powder this is wonderful I love this if you have normal to oily
skin you will love this and one thing that I do remember doing is taking my
wet Beauty Blender and putting it into the product and just kind of pressing it
and what I'm going to do is keep the baked on while I do my eyes for my eye
primer I'm going to use the five and one by bare minerals distance in the color
soft linens I really really like this a lot it has SPF 15 and this is a really
good primer to neutralize your eyes you know a lot of people use concealer I do
that sometimes but some concealers don't hold up on my oily lids so I find like
this product does hold up on my lids and it gives you a really nice clean white
base to work off of so put this on my eyes and I have a birthmark right here
on my lid so I do like to kind of try to cover that when I can and this does
pretty good I go in the inner ducts or the inner corners I remember taking my
favorite palette which it was lorac and I still have it
it's the lorac pro so this was the first one I still have the same one I still
use it these lorac shadows are one of the best
if not the best in formulation the very very buttery they apply very nicely they
blend easily so I do love lorac I always come back to this for more classic looks
which is what I was going for for my wedding our wedding was more of like
rockabilly vintage themed and I did want to do a classic type of eye with like a
modern twist on my makeup this cream shade here and it's right here
and I'm just gonna kind of sweep this at the top of the crease area doesn't do
anything but I do want to start to slowly build my eye look then I went
into the taupe color which is a very very light brown or it's more of like
the lighter the lighter brown color going to put this on my crease or into
my crease I did want to mimic how makeup was done more in the 50s when I was
doing my makeup so a lot of the time they really only used maybe two colors
it was usually a color like this a topi color at the crease and then it was
blended up and out
so I remember just doing that specifically and it wasn't as pronounced
as it is now so what wasn't very you know you see the crease and you see the
colors it was very blended out
and I just use circular motions to blend up and I keep glancing at my picture
that I took just to remind myself of the makeup look and I did go into the white
in this palette and I went under to the brow
I didn't do a shimmery color underneath my brow for my wedding and then I do
remember doing white on my lid so I took my favorite white which is from NYX and
it's the milk this one's kind of looks weird cuz it broke but this is the milk
the color milk and it is the jumbo pencil and I did put this on my lid to
create like a white base and blend it out with my finger
then I went on top of that with the white in the lorac palette so I'm going
to take my finger and press the white just on the lid I'm going to go back
into that tophi color and just kind of blend it in the crease a little bit and
I did go underneath my eye so I'm going to go into the taupe color again just
right underneath the lash line it's called sable go right underneath
I did use something on my waterline so I'm gonna go in with smooth shadow by
Elizabeth Mott and this has a little bit of glitter in it I'm gonna align my eyes
and I did do something in my inner corner and it was this by Palladio it's
called line out loud it's the intense shimmer liquid eyeliner and I remember
using this specifically because I wanted to have some glitter in my inner corner
so I'm just going to put this in here
and I put some underneath as well kind of dragged it and then I'm gonna go into
the lorac palette into called champagne and nude I'm gonna kind of go into both
kind of place that over where I put the liner to kind of help blend it out
because this is more an eyeliner and it dries really quickly and it doesn't
really blend as well as I would like next I'm gonna just kind of blend out
this bake that I had and just kind of put it on the rest of my face
usually estee lauder double wear does not need to really be powdered like that
but I did want to ensure that it lasted all day it was really really hot in
Vegas I didn't you know we had a lot going on I didn't want to have to touch
up my face so I did everything that I could to ensure my makeup stayed the
same all day next I'm taking Kat Von D's tattoo liner which I did use on my
wedding day and love this I love this liner it's good for oily lids lasts all
day it's my Holy Grail and I made a wing
and then I went ahead and curled my lashes and at the time my favorite
mascara which it's still one of my favorites is lash sensational by
Maybelline and I'm going to put this on both the top and bottom
and I'm gonna skip over I did do false lashes on my wedding but I'll do those
last and I'm gonna go ahead and go to my brows now and what I use for my brows
which I still use and is one of my favorites is from makeup forever the
aqua brow and I just put a little bit of this on my palette that I have in front
of me and I use an angled brush if you want more in-depth on how I use this
product I'll link the video down below it's the how I do my brows video and I
will I kind of show you the product more closely and walk you step-by-step on how
I did my brows so I'm going to go ahead and speed this up and finish up my
breasts
okay brows are done and I'm gonna be taking one of my favorite blushes this
is from Milani it's their baked blush and it is in Luminoso I'm going to apply
this with an elf blush brush
and then I did take two Faced chocolate Soleil this is medium deep I don't pick
this up too much anymore out of all the products that I'm using just because I
love the Kat Von D contour palette now that one's one of my favorites but this
one's still really really awesome smells really good smells like cocoa crown a
contour brush I'm just gonna put some underneath my chin and on the temples
she then kind of blend this a little bit and take a little bit of that on the
nose
alright guys I'm gonna take Becca this is the shimmering skin perfecter this is
the pressed version in opal and I definitely wore this on my wedding day I
absolutely loved this highlight it is one of my absolute favorite highlights
lasts all day it is apparently pricey for highlight but it lasts me really
long so before I put on my lashes I did set my face with a setting spray and I
did use Urban Decay's all nighter and this one or the D slick both of them are
really really really good for making your makeup last all day and it has like
a double lid to ensure that it doesn't dry out so it's important to put both of
those on so that you're not spraying it out and it like the little applicator or
the little spray doesn't get really dry because then the spritzer on it will get
a lot more droplets on it so it's important to put both of the lids on
that and I'm gonna go ahead and put on my false lashes so the lashes that I
wore in for my wedding I remember it was they had these little jewels on them and
so I did find the same ones I'm hoping these are the same ones these are
similar she's with some tiny jewels and I'm just going to apply these I
don't wear false lashes very often but when I do I use Shi glue which is clear
and it is a lash adhesive and this container it's lasted me a really really
long time and it's the best glue that I've ever found my lashes stay on all
day all right after I have my lashes on I did look at my picture again and then
I was a little bit of glittery sparkle on my lid and so what I think I did is I
took this champagne color
from the lorac palette and I just placed it on the center of my lid
and the last thing I did was use my favorite lip color this is from dose of
colors in the color of Merlot it lasted through mimosas in the morning and our
we had like a morning wedding and then we had brunch so we had
a lot of breakfast items lots of the lunch items was a lot of food actually
all right everyone so that was all of the products that I did use for my
wedding day two years ago what I'm thinking is I might do a separate video
on some of the things that I did wear for my wedding such as my you know
little robe that I'm wearing now my hair accessories other things my dress the
tool that I found underneath my shoes all of that I either found online for
very inexpensive or I kind of just found things here and there throughout the
year to really kind of pull through both my husband and my looks to kind of have
it you know fit our vision and kind of keep with the theme so I might do a
video on that and so stay tuned for that and point out down memory lane with me
and thank you guys so so very much for watching my video today and we will see
you in the next video

2018 Classic Planner Setup - Duration: 19:44.
in this video I'm going to show you my 2018 classic planner setup this is my
Franklin planner leather Aurora binder and in this video I'm going to do a
detailed walkthrough showing you how I use my planner hi everybody my name is
Tonya I make videos on practical planning, organization and small business
hi and I'm so excited because this video was actually requested in the comments
if this is your first time to my channel welcome! my channel is not about sticker
kits, decorating and washi tape while that's nice my channel is about real
life practical and functional planning if that appeals to you please be sure to
hit the like and subscribe button below also be sure to stay tuned because at
the end of this video I have a special treat for you now this is my Franklin
Covey leather Aurora binder in the color blush I did a detailed video on this
binder I'll put the link below as you can see in the cover here I carry two
ink pens a blue one and a red one I use the pilot FriXion
gel erasable clicker pens I love these pens
again it's gel ink so it writes dark and it doesn't bleed through the pages and
it erases cleanly I feel erasable pens are imperative as everyone makes
mistakes so in the front here as you can see I have a few cards in my card slots
and I have a quote that I like to live by and it says, "If you plan to do it do
it early" this is a page lifter to protect the pages in my planner and this
is a clear sheet protector where I insert it some of my favorites this is a
little flower that my daughter made for me and some family photos and I also
inserted wanted a plan of love pocket dividers that says a place for
everything on the back here I carry a blank thank you card there was one
situation where I was so happy to have a thank you card is when my husband went
to the hospital unexpectedly and we just received phenomenal care and
I was so glad that I had a way to thank the doctors and nurses there I filled
out the thank-you card while in the hospital and dropped it in the mail on
the way out so carrying a thank-you card is a great way to show gratitude next I
have a contact page where if someone finds my binder they can find me now
again these are the planner love pocket tab dividers and my first section says
quotes and I love love love to collect quotes when I hear a great quote I run
and jot it down in my planner and I like to look at these for inspiration this
next section is my youtube section this is where I jot down ideas on YouTube
sometimes I have ideas in the strangest places so it's great to have a place
where all of my YouTube ideas are my research my plans I have a checklist in
this section and I may be doing a video on how I actually keep up with YouTube
in addition to working having an active daughter having a husband my husband you
know has some medical issues maybe one day I'll do a video on how I
handle the YouTube YouTube aspect okay this next section is called home
projects and here is where I write down the home projects that I plan or would
like to work on in the future like for example my next project I want to do I
want to paint my daughter's room so this is where I go and just jot down
everything and then when I'm ready to do these things I can go ahead and plan
them out on my planner pages okay this is the menu section of the
planner and what you see here is where I typed up a list of everything that was
in our freezer what was happening was we were buying duplicates of many items and
it was just a waste of money and our freezer was over filled and we couldn't
get anything in there we couldn't find anything so this way we just typed up a
list of everything in the freezer and as we use it I mark it off the list
this helps with meal planning because now I know exactly what's in the freezer
and only thing a lot of times like I think about is okay what sides go but
what you will see I have about three page finders throughout my binder this
is the Franklin Covey magnifying glass page finder which clearly comes in handy
I also have a pouch page finder which is part of the Franklin Covey system I did
a separate video on that which I will link below
I use two tools for meal planning I use an app on my phone called les tonic
where it allows me to make a grocery list and share it with my husband so
whoever goes to the grocery store can pick up items that the other needs and I
also use the Franklin planner menu planning pages this allows me to
strategically think how we're going to spend our food budget we set aside money
each pay period for food and this way we can plan out our meals and on the other
side of the page is a grocery list separated by the sections in the grocery
store which is very handy so when you go to the grocery store with this list
obviously I don't take my whole planner I take that page out and take it into
the store with me and then when I come out the grocery store and just stick it
back in my planner speed up the video I don't want to make this too long I have
a section called names because unfortunately I have a hard time
remembering people's names so for example I have my daughter's volleyball
coach name in there sometimes I have names of neighbors but just a way a
quick way for me to remember names I also have a sectional eBay I actively
sell on eBay every day is how I pay off debt is by selling items on eBay and I
also have a section on medical now my husband he has he's he has end-stage
renal disease he takes dialysis and he's all quite a few medications we're hoping
and praying for a kidney this year he's on a kidney transplant list but here I
keep a list of all his medications because if I'm normally when we go to
the doctor they asked for a list of medications that he's taking and I love
having the list nice and neat right here I also have a part where I'm taking
notes on at his doctor's appointments and I have a separate video on how I
keep medical information in my planner so please take a look at that in the
description now as you can see on his medications list I have like this tab
sticker it's like it's called an Avery tab divider and I'll put the link for
these below they were very inexpensive and they're cute colors and they
brighten up my planner but sometimes I want to just mark a page so I can find
it easily and these are a great way to do that so
you'll see these throughout my planner as well now I want to show you my page
protectors now these are some inexpensive page protectors that I got
from Walmart in the stationery section and they are called the mini sheet
protectors by Pin and Gear they were very inexpensive
now the only thing about these sheet protectors is that they tend to wrinkle
so if that is something that you don't like as you can see my pages like
wrinkled here if that is something that you don't like I do recommend the
Franklin Planner page protectors it is they're much more durable and this is
the Franklin Planner page protector as you can see it has like a matte Sheen
much more durable and it does not wrinkle and that's why I have it at the
front of my planner so that it doesn't get messed up I also have a section on
books I want to read sometimes people will recommend great books to read and I
want to jot those down I also have a section on work I put all of my work
notes in one section that way I can just turn to that section and have everything
for work right there I also have a section for genealogy I actually hasn't
have not gotten started on a genealogy research but I'm very interested in it
therefore I made a section for it and I also have a section for faith where I
take notes in church and that's where all of my church notes go are there
blank sections in your planner like there are in mine hey look that's okay
no matter what type of planner you have we can't live our lives being tied to a
planner the whole purpose of a planner is to sit down and map out without
distractions of notifications like you would get with an electronic product but
to be able to sit down and map out strategically your dreams your desires
what it is you want to do how you want to get there what do you want to do next
and that's the whole beauty of a planner this section lists all birthdays and
special events all on one page front and back this way as a transition to new
years and new planners I will have all important dates on one page
these are my monthly tabbed pages I have the Monticello print I love these pages
because they have the nice white backgrounds with the nice blue marble
accents also there are light lines to help you write straight on the monthly
tabs there I want to show you how to pikal month looks by the way this is
another page finder this is the botanicals planner love page finder is
very very pretty
now what I do is I write my items that have to do with my daughter and red and
everything else is as is in blue the reason why I do this I guess it's
because I'm a working mother I like to be able to look at my planner and see
what every place that there's red that's time quality time that's being spent for
my daughter or with my daughter so it's something to help me feel better about I
guess being a working mom we do a lot of activities with my daughter and I love
seeing where something is written in red because I know that's for her you will
see a couple of stickers and my planner my son for my birthday he bought me some
planner supplies and included in that were some stickers so I do have some
stickers that say payday on there so you'll see a couple of stickers but in
general I don't have a lot of time for stickers and decorating I wish I did
because stickers really do add something special to planners
okay here I'm going to show you some of my planner pages this is a task list
where I just wrote down a bunch of stuff that I had to do is called weekly tasks
at the top and this comes with the weekly planner format I have two formats
in my planner I have the weekly planner format and the daily format which is a
day on two pages now this shows the weekly format as you can see it's the
whole week starting with Monday and it goes all the way across and I like this
format because it allows me to block off time and see my week at a glance when I
take some a little bit of time to plan for the week I love this format because
it can tell me it can show me where I have free time or where I don't at first
I tried to just make it with this weekly format but I ended up going back to my
daily day on two pages and I use both of them now right here I want to show you
that these are cut out franklin planner sells something called cut out sheets
and as you can see it still shows the top of the regular planner page but you
can put these cut out sheets like in between pages so you can still see the
date and the calendars at the top you can still see the quote I like these cut
out pages I think that's a really good idea by franklin planner and here's how
the cut away oh they're called cut away daily notes these are this is how the
pages look but they're just shorter than the normal pages to allow room for the
header of the other rest of the planner to show and it's just a blank page with
the word date at the top and again you know I have the classic
size so now this I am showing you this
is my planner love page finder this is how the a day on two pages look there's
an appointment schedule some small calendars at the top a section at the
below there for your daily tracker you can put whatever you want there I'm
planning to do a video on making a habit tracker as well so don't forget to Like
and subscribe so you don't miss that at this quote at the top of these planners
there's a quote which I again I love quotes and I love that this format has
this is this is my planner love page binder I love it there that at the top
of these pages there's a whole page on each day just for notes
here end the planner includes a business expense log I keep my business expenses
differently I've done a separate video on that as well that's in the
description and these are planner pages they're like monthly pages but the the
planning pages the it's a little more condensed because the month is on one
page instead of two so this allows you to plan out in the future
and this is also when you go way out into the future
as you can see this has 20/20 this is a future planning pages where you can
write down something that you know may be coming up for that far ahead
this is my yearly fold-out page I still haven't
decided how I'm going to use this page if you have a suggestion or if you have
a way that you use yours please let me know in the comments I will be so
interested to know how to use this page next the planner also comes with some
holidays and observance days which is really nice and it tells you like what
day of these holidays will fall on several years in advance
okay so now we're getting into the starter pack planner pages this includes
pages on your values rolls and your goals now here is a goal for example I
wrote regarding eBay I wanted to make sure I set a goal and my goal was to
generate $200 in sales a month with eBay will actually profit and actually I
exceeded that goal so it really does help to sit down and write out your
goals and map out how you're gonna get there this is another sheet now what I
do is I buy the Franklin planner inserts and then I try to make copies because I
I try to save money but I do buy the original sheets and then make copies and
then punch holes in them now these sheets are regarding roles and
values and for example a role is I am a mother a role is I am a spouse and with
Franklin Covey encourages you to do is to identify your roles and determine
what's most important to you and then make sure you keep the main thing the
main thing make sure you work toward being the best you can be at those roles
now here's a section on Otto where you can record your all changes your routine
maintenance is kind of it kind of serves as a reminder and you can also log your
auto mileage and have a tab there that says auto auto and this section I have a
lot of personal information so imma flip through quickly but there you can keep a
log of doctors appointments your blood pressure here you will see I made a
separate sheet to record my blood pressure I want to record more
information on for my blood pressure and I plan to make a custom blood pressure
log so please look out for that video here are some reference pages and they
have some frequently I guess requested toll-free telephone numbers and websites
weights and measurements and nice reference pages there and I'm finally on
the back world map and time zones okay I don't do a lot of stickers but I have
some stickers left over from my old Lilly Pulitzer planner that I have that
they're so pretty I don't want to get rid of and then I keep a section for
stamps and I just love my Wonder Woman stamps there and I always carry a blank
envelope you never know when you might just need an envelope and as you can see
there I have a coupon and I have a Weight Watchers membership card I keep
those and sheet protectors and then I have the love pocket dividers where I
have something in there like a dental referral now here are some post-it notes
and supposed to notes insert that I got from Walmart the holes that line up but
no problem I took my Franklin planner hole puncher and I made the holes
perfect so they'll fit in my binder and the black thing you see there is my page
lifter and finally is a notepad now as promised I have a special treat for you
as I said I love quotes and I've put together a printout for your planner of
some of my favorite quotes so to get them go to the description and click on
the link in just in the description and feel free to sign up for my newsletter

Classic Smokey Eye Using Addiction Palette 3 - Duration: 6:46.
Hey girls, okay. Today's video is going to be all about this look right here. It's gonna be a classic
Smokey eye but I'm gonna break it down and make it a little bit more
Simple for you, so it's like a beginners smokey eye, but I think it's still really beautiful. It's a classic
That's Addy in the bathroom potty-training right now
It's a classic look. I used one palette a couple brushes
and that's it so if you want to see how I achieved this look then keep on watching and
Hopefully it will be helpful
Hey girls, okay. So as always we're gonna start with primer
I'm pushing the primer into my eyelids using a sponge primer is
Such an important step
Then I'm going to take some translucent setting powder and stamp out an angled line from the outer corner leading up to my brow
This is going to help give me a visual for how I want the eyeshadow to be shaped
It's gonna make sure I don't go outside that line
Next I'm gonna go in with a pale gray shade using a fluffy blending brush
I'm gonna start at the outer corner and start buffing this into the crease
I'm using really tiny short little motions to go in a back-and-forth windshield wiper
Motion this is gonna start to build up our crease and give us this shape
You don't ever want to go in with your darkest color
you need to slowly build it up a
Grey is a great color to start it smokey eye with as I get most of the color in that outer corner
I'll start to take it over to the inner corner, but you always want to be starting at that outer corner
Next I'm gonna mix two shades the same light gray that we went in at first with a little bit of a darker one
Using the exact same brush. I'm gonna buff it into that outer crease. So it's almost like I'm drawing a sideways V
That's how you create that smoky cat eye shape
You'll notice that a lot of this look is just me blending going back forth and blending in small circles
It's such an important step. Okay. Next we're going to go in with the darkest colors is a pure black
I'm taking it little brush and I'm drawing a sideways V
I'm literally just stamping that color into the outer corner. It doesn't mean to look perfect
It doesn't need to look pretty because now what we're gonna do is blend blend blend this color
so you can even take a black eyeliner and push it into the outer corner of your eye and
Blend it to get a smoky eye that works just as well
I think a powder is a little bit easier to work with but that's just me
So again, I'm stamping it in that outer corner and then going back with a fluffy brush and blending blending blending
You're always blending towards the outer corner, but notice I'm not taking the color all the way towards the inner inner corner
I'm leaving that
Pretty light and bright that's how you can avoid getting really dark heavy eyes that can make your eyes look smaller and tired
Keep all that darkness towards the outer corner
Okay, next we're gonna take a small liner brush I'm gonna spritz it with a little bit of setting spray
Then I'm gonna go back with that dark black color and I'm gonna line underneath my eyes with it
I'm keeping it as close as I can to the lash line and this is where it's okay if it gets a little bit
Messy or smudged out. That's kind of the point. It's to look a little bit messy and undone
so push it in there and just
Smudge and blend it out
I sprayed it with setting spray to make sure that it's really gonna be locked on there and no raccoon eyes then
I'm just taking a little bit more and darkening up that outer corner a little bit more. You can totally play with an intensity and
Say hello to the two-year-old
Okay now I'm gonna go
eyeliner
I'm going to tightline my upper lid so I'm pulling it. I'm putting the child down to force just weren't doing it
I'm pulling my lid up and pushing that liner into the upper waterline
This is gonna make your eyes look dark in smokey Nicks and help your lashes to look thicker and more
Balumptuous' and then I'm gonna line the lower waterline as well
I only do this when I'm doing a really dark intense, or I look normally I wouldn't line my eyes with a black eyeliner
But for a smoky eye, it's a definite then I'm taking the liner and pushing it into my upper lash line as well
Okay, now I'm gonna take my finger and that sounds crazy spritz it with some setting spray
I'm gonna take a light shimmery shade and Pat this into the eyelid
I have found that a lot of times with shimmer shades
Your fingers are the best thing you can use
If you don't use your finger, you're gonna want to use a flat synthetic brush, but your finger works great
you can really pack on the color and I sprayed my finger with the setting spray to reduce any fallout and make sure that the
shimmer, really pops
Okay next I'm going to go back into the black shade and just add a little bit more there in the outer corner sometimes when
You add on the shimmer the black can get a little bit diluted
So I just want to make sure that it's really dark and pigmented
I'm gonna go back in with that shimmer shade and taking a tiny little brush
I'm gonna use it to highlight the inner
corner of my eye and my brow bone this helps to bring together the whole look and the last step is to
take off that powder first of all, but then to add on a ton of
Mascara the more mascara the better
You could even pop it on a pair of false eyelashes
If you want to I'm using the epic mascara
Which is my favorite and I feel like it gives you just as much length and volume as false lashes do so for me
That's good
I also I'm going to take it on to my lower lashes
Which is something I don't normally do but with a smoky eye you want
Lashes all around so go ahead and put it on those bottom
bottom baby lashes
And that is it girls, that is a smokey eye for you hope you enjoyed
