What is Publons? - Duration: 2:43.

Hi there.

I am John Bond from Riverwinds Consulting and this is Publishing Defined.

Today I am going to talk Publons.

Publons is a service used by academics that allows them to track, verify, and showcase

their peer review for scholarly journals.

Publons' mission is to "speed up science by harnessing the power of peer review".

Publons provides a verified record of an academic's review and editorial activity for journals.

In addition, it provides: tools for publishers to find, screen and contact potential peer

reviewers; data about peer review; training for researchers new to review; and a venue

for academics to discuss published research.

Reviewers can choose whether or not to make their review open access after publication

if the journal is in agreement.

Publons was launched in 2012 by Andrew Preston and Daniel Johnston to address the moribund

state of peer-reviewing practices in publishing, by encouraging speeding scientific development.

Publons was acquired by Clarivate Analytics in 2017.

That year, Publons won the ALPSP Innovation in Publishing Award.

As of 2018, Publons states it has over 400,000 researchers, 2 million reviews, for over 25,000

Journals.

Publons also offers Publons Academy, which is a review training course for newbie researchers.

The course is free, as is the Publons service to academics.

Publishers are charged a fee to use their services.

Publons claims by using its service, academics can help advance in individual evaluations,

such as performance reviews or with promotions and salary.

It can also assist with funding, grant applications, and even green card applications.

To many, Publons has been a welcome addition to peer review, which many feel needs to move

forward into the 21st century.

Well that's it.

I am a publishing consultant and work with associations, publishers, and individuals

on a host of content related challenges.

What Actually Happened at Tanacon and Why it was Cancelled / Shut Down - Duration: 8:46.

as in war the victor only seems to win

what is up everybody this is Chris from the rewired soul where we talk about the

problem but focus on the solution and I am from my little vacation and over the

weekend a couple things took place VidCon and panic on so in this video I'm

gonna be talking about what really happened at Tanic line and I do want to

stress I want to stress this so much like my channel is not a gossip channel

my channel is not one of those YouTube commentary channels I'm a mental health

Channel okay I work with clients at a mental health treatment facility

I tell them stories all the time as cautionary tales I want them to look at

it and rather than criticizing the other person I want them to understand what do

they do in their life that is similar to this and maybe just not as extreme but

it's causing issues in their life that is destroying their mental health so

when I tell you these stories it is not to come down harshly on a person even

though I am someone who gives a lot of tough love I'm gonna be doing so with

Tana mojo but like I want you to learn from it I want you to look at the

situation and say oh wow maybe I do that and maybe this is affecting my mental

health in a very poor way alright so what I do want to talk about today when

it comes to Tana Khan is something that I haven't seen anybody else touch on

which is the malicious intent as well as the revenge aspect of this so all my way

back from California today and me and my girlfriend we were sitting there in the

car and we were driving back and we were listening to a bunch of different videos

about what happened at Tanner combine what happened how did this thing go to

hell what is a thing that happened and a lot of it if you don't know like it just

went downhill really fast basically what happened was the venue did not hold the

capacity of people who showed up and a lot of it had to do with like over

15,000 people showing up for the free entry and here's the thing so a lot of

people are talking about how nobody expected 15,000 people show up and

things like that and you know is it is it the management's fault whose fault

is it all right and one thing I will say is this when you put your name on

something when you run anything it's your fault all right I have talked about

this when I talk about internal locus of control and external locus of control if

you start taking the mindset of everything is my fault you're in much

more control and you you make smarter decisions all right so what people

aren't taking it into consideration is why Tanner had panic on in the first

place so Tina has this like long video how she was poorly treated at VidCon

very good like I'm glad she made that video like I don't think what VidCon

does is right even though I've never personally attended and watch the Toni

videos about it I think there's a balance but that's a whole nother video

all right Tanner felt mistreated by VidCon okay cool if any of you watched

my video about 13 reasons why and the psychology of revenge

this is what happened to Tanner this is what happened to a bunch of the other

creators who are going to Tana Khan all right it was pretty much a big fu to

VidCon how do we know this how do we know this if you watch a lot of the

videos about people who are poorly treated at VidCon right you could tell

that they have this kind of revenge attitude this anger like when we get

angry we want to get a person back this is part of our evolutionary psychology

we feel like we need to get them we need to screw them over right so that quote I

said at the intro of this video is something that I've dealt with time and

time and time again pretty soon I'm gonna be focusing a week on anger alone

because I used to be the most angry person you would ever meet and one thing

that I loved doing was getting revenge if you got me I was gonna get you 15

times worse but when I set back and I looked at it and I was improving my

mental health I realized that time and time and time and time and time again

this didn't work out for anybody especially myself so what people aren't

addressing is the fact that TANF scheduled Tana Khan for the exact same

weekend as VidCon now does that sound like she had no malicious intent intent

surely she didn't have it for the fans okay I truly believe that she cares

about the fans but she was trying to screw over VidCon

she purposely planned it for the same weekend but get this the venue that

Tennant got the one that was too small was right next to VidCon okay

so it would be foolish of her or anybody else to say that she didn't plan and

arrange all of these things based on trying to screw VidCon over she was

hoping to get some of their audience she was hoping to get these people now when

you start putting the pieces together like this the fault makes a lot more

sense because the venue size is it possible that the vineyard size wasn't

big enough because she purposely wanted a venue next to VidCon to steal their

audience right now the audience size is it possible that the audience size was

way bigger than what she expected because she was pulling in people who

were originally going to go to VidCon it's been an insane amount of money

think about that for a second all this was based on revenge and the thing is

here's the thing a lot of people were hurt a lot of people were hurt in this

not necessarily physically but definitely emotionally right their pride

their ego let's talk about the creators like Shane Dawson what a good guy what a

good guy like he has been there you know talking on Twitter saying like you know

her Hall wasn't a good place and stuff like that now I love Shane Dawson but I

wouldn't say that her heart was in the good in a good place based on what I'm

discussing in this video because her whole plan for this thing was to get

back at VidCon so there is a point where the heart was not in a good place okay

maybe when it came to the fans but the planning of this event wasn't so right

there's a lot of apologies going around and stuff and you know maybe you can't

plan such a big event in a month or two well why was it so rushed why was it so

rushed because she picked the same date as VidCon imagine if she pushed her back

imagine if she changed the location think about that for a second how many

people would have showed up if she would have done in some world I live in Las

Vegas tannaz originally from Las Vegas much

bigger venues much more accessibility because you're not in a city where one

of the biggest YouTube conventions is happening that same weekend so just some

things to think about now I was originally planning on making a video

about her terrible response and I was gonna say or make a video

about how to properly apologize but thank goodness for Shane Dawson and I

forgot the other guy's name James something my girlfriend told me but

anyways tena came out and she did a series of

tweets and she did a good apology and she took fault she took the blame and

everything like that that's what you got to do when you apologize when you make

an amend you have to take 100% fault and the best way to apologize is to put

yourself in the other person's shoes like think about it would you want to

hear like put yourself in that situation would you want to hear excuses would you

want to hear passing the blame would you want to hear these things of course you

wouldn't so when it comes to apologizing it's all about you and nobody else you

know but her original palsy came with like oh you know all these people were

faking that they had VIP there was this and this that's like calm down but

anyways that's not the point of this video so anyways like I said this isn't

like to you know harass Tana or anything I want you I want you watching this to

think about that think about has revenge ever suited you or has it all gone to

crap like when we sit back and look like and we ask yourself one simple question

is this useful or is this not useful to me okay look a revenge or anger 99.9

percent of the time it is not useful to us alright so I hope you take a lesson

from this and you can step back and reevaluate some of the situations in

your life like how can you do this and be the better person how can you do this

without setting yourself up for failure how can you do this without hurting

thousands literally thousands of other people in tannaz case alright so I hope

you took a little lesson from this video okay but anyways thank you so much for

watching and if you liked this video please give it a thumbs up and if you

are new here I'm always making videos to help you out with your mental health

click that little round subscribe button and a big THANK YOU to everybody

supporting my mission to spread awareness about mental health and to

help people who like I appreciate you guys so much and if you would like to

there thanks so much for watching don't get revenge today and I'll see you

next time

what I was before I was Victoria x-ray I've always been doing swags right okay

I've never been Victoria x-rayed I've never been Abed to a rave that's just

that's a lie so we're gonna go through some photos of

past of past victorious so let's start here I'm gonna show the first photo on

the screen I'm gonna scooch over to the side that's really far back I was I was

fattest fuck I'm not in the good way Jack I was like I was like a ball I'm so

fat the one that's kind of like longingly staring off into the distance

I still do that yep alright that's that's a little too far back let's let's

fast for okay this isn't too far off from me either this is this is sad

Victoria I've always been a sad SAP but uh a sad sap that likes to party

I partied a hard look at my red cheeks I don't know what I got into there I'm

staring off into the distance again I don't know I always see thou is staring

at a distance of the future I don't know I'm thinking about getting bangs like

that again I was hot for a baby when I say have a

nice classy lady I mean I'm a nice classy lady I was brought up as a classy

lady did you see this okay I am the classiest of ladies I should dress like

that I should dress like that for a week

would you just watch that if I dress like I used to okay so this actually

properly describes how I grew up this was me growing up it's a good picture to

represent that um I grew up as a farm girl and I want to incorporate that more

incident my my videos I want to have more animals I want to have more like I

don't know life to my videos like that I'm right there I'm still doing like the

butt pose you know you'd never change I wish I had to go again but and this is

the rest my family we had a plentiful harvest that season our quiver was full

of children we were able to be fed throughout the winter the harsh winter

months yeah no okay all right so now I'm going to show you me as kind of like a

preteen slash teenager so this is not some random concert I don't remember

what it was that shirt is so tacky that's my natural hair color right there

if you guys want to know that's my natural hair color and that's my sister

and that's I don't know who that guy is some bad guy this is when I had my very

first job at Arby's and again that's my natural hair color I didn't know how to

do my makeup at all angsty still staring off into the distance what do you see

over there what's over there I'm still looking over yonder curl my hair and I

parted it in the middle who does that will you love me I still do that that's

what I do the guy is like whenever they're about to like leave me I'm like

but please I just want your love and affection this describes my teenage

years pretty well riding horses this is before I had any tattoos or colored hair

or anything so long shorts you know got to keep it you know like Westland

Methodist style okay that's not Wesley mess this style trust me let no that's

not like before or like whenever I was like a little a little girl with that

you know that that that hangs up that's Wesley Methodist I'll this is this is

just um thick and then I started you know my transition

into this butterfly so I started dyeing my hair brown like a brownish because I

didn't want to go all the way black because that was you know I needed to to

gradually go into it so my parents when it freaked out too much it's getting to

my emo stage very much very much emo and still staring off into the distance it's

just a little bit lower so it's like it's a little bit sadder of a stare but

that hair looks shiny like I would look at these pictures I'm like dang man I

wish I had sometimes I wish I had normal hair to be that shiny like I just want

to kind of pet me dome does the sheep and then I was like I got funky I'm just

gonna go out demonic now so I'm just like you can't see me these bangs cover

my eyes just enough to wear it spoken to poke them and it's very uncomfortable

but it looks cool right and then after that I've met my first boyfriend and

this is what my grandma which she passed away like a year ago which is sad then

this is my hair kind of brownish like it's fading out from the black and I got

like these awful lip piercings that were like I I wear like these huge rings my

lips and it didn't look good and I look back now and I'm just like that did not

look good but I thought it was the coolest thing and we we did music

together and stuff you guys probably know who that is you know I'm like you

know what I'm just gonna go blonde so I went blonde for a while you can see

these awful lip breaks of this picture and that's my dog that I missed so much

his name's sho'nuff for some reason I only died like some of my hair this is a

mess it's a mess I don't like to show this to you this is embarrassing but

those are just some Pat's past pictures I start dyeing my hair pink and then

eventually I got dreadlocks I got decked out and all my tattoos

that's what I used to look like whenever I was normal I hope you enjoyed that

blast from the past maybe in like ten years I look back and this not be like

what the fuck was like doing but it doesn't matter because it's all quick

pretty perfect change it but I'm just glad I don't have those huge lip rings

anymore and you know I'm still gonna like I'm still me you know I've been me

the whole entire time I'm just going you know through different stages this stage

of life that I have been living is coming to an end now and I'm going into

a new one that's really exciting and I hope that you guys will join me in that

stage it's still good Mee Mee 2.0 alright well I need to I

need to go now stay off into the distance longingly

leave some comments below if you think that I should you know revert back to my

my Westland Methodist stage or my Evo stage or if I'm you know cool how I am I

don't know I just love interacting with you guys and you guys know that I was

ready to spawn - all your comments on the first day of posting them to

A Florida Frat Was Allegedly Operating a Secret Revenge Porn Facebook Group. - Duration: 1:51.

For Complex News, I'm Hanuman Welch

A fraternity at the University of Central Florida, Delta Sigma Phi, has been allegedly

running a secret Facebook group called the "Dog Pound," where members of the fraternity

share nude photos and videos of women without consent.

The group was discovered in March, when Kathryn Novak was on vacation with her then-boyfriend

Brandon Simpson.

During their trip, Novak caught a glimpse of an alarming text on Simpson's phone from

his frat brother where the two were discussing a naked video of Novak, according to a lawsuit

that Novak filed on Thursday.

She had never given her boyfriend permission to share the video.

Novak insisted to know what was going on, and discovered the "Dog Pound."

Per the New York Times, Novak said she found out that her now ex-boyfriendSimpson had been

posting nude photos and videos to the Facebook group since October.

She's also accused the frat of uploading images of several other women, and is now

suing Simpson, as well as the UCF fraternity and four of its members, for $75,000.

According to the lawsuit, the fraternity "routinely posted images and videos of their sexual conquests"

to the group, and that allegedly over 200 people saw one video of Novak, not including

how many people could have been in the group.

Novak and her boyfriend were in a long-distance relationship, so she consensually sent him

photos and videos, though one video was taken without her knowing, the Times reported.

Novak is being represented by Michael Avenatti, who's also Stormy Daniels' lawyer.

He told the Times that when Novak discovered the footage had been shared, it was "devastating."

"The fact that you had a basically frat-boy atmosphere, both literally and figuratively,

that was centered on the exploitation of women without their knowledge or consent is outrageous."

-Michael Avenatti

Following the suit, Delta Sigma Phi has suspended its UCF chapter, telling the Times that the

accusations were "disturbing and antithetical to our organization's values and mission."

The university is presently "gathering information" about the purported Facebook group.

That's all for now, for everything else subscribe to Complex on YouTube.

What is the Birkat Kohanim? The Jewish Priestly Blessing - Duration: 3:21.

Imagine stepping into a gentle stream--

as this stream flows by, you feel renewed, strengthened

and safe.

It has flowed for generations before you and now it comes to you.

Now imagine that this is not a stream of water, but one of blessing.

When we step into this stream we receive an ancient and powerful blessing that links us

back to Aaron, the first Kohen Gadol, the High Priest of biblical Israel— and also

beyond Aaron, to the Ultimate Source of Blessing (commonly known as God).

The Birkat Kohanim, which means the "Priestly Blessing" is found in the Torah

God instructs Moses to tell Aaron and his sons, the first priests: "here is a way

to bless Israel" and then the words are given:

יְבָרֶכְךָ֥ ה׳ וְיִשְׁמְרֶֽךָ׃ May God bless you and protect you.

יָאֵ֨ר ה׳ פָּנָ֛יו אֵלֶ֖יךָ וִֽיחֻנֶּֽךָּ׃

May God shine the Divine Face towards you and love you.

יִשָּׂ֨א ה׳ פָּנָיו֙ אֵלֶ֔יךָ וְיָשֵׂ֥ם לְךָ֖ שָׁלֽוֹם׃

May God lift up the Divine Face towards you and grant you peace.

Since ancient days people have been making amulets and artwork featuring the words of

Birkat Kohanim.

Today, while different Jewish communities have different ways of reciting Birkat Kohanim,

for all Jewish communities these words still occupy a central place in Jewish prayer both

in the synagogue and in the home— and even epitomize the idea of blessing itself.

While sometimes Birkat Kohanim is simply recited or chanted, for some communities it becomes

perhaps the most dramatic moment of the communal prayer service— towards the end of the service,

on cue, people in the congregation who are Kohanim, exit the sanctuary.

The Levi'im ritually wash the hands of the Kohanim.

The Kohanim then return to the sanctuary without shoes on, (as the ancient priests would have done).

They cover themselves with their prayer shawls and raise their hands in the shape of the

Hebrew letter shin.

During the blessing, the congregation gathers under their prayer shawls, and, averting their

eyes, they focus on receiving the stream of blessing.

In the home, as Shabbat begins, there is a beloved tradition of parents gathering close

to their children and, with hands on their children's heads, blessing their children

with the soothing and loving words of Birkat Kohanim.

Fun fact--this hand sign was the inspiration for the actor Leonard Nemoy, whose character

Spock on Star Trek held up his hand in this same way.

Nimoy had strong childhood memories of peeking out from under his father's prayer shawl

and seeing the outline of the Kohanim holding

their hands in this symbol under their prayer shawls.

These words convey our deepest hopes for feeling blessed, safe, illuminated, loved, happy,

peaceful, and connected to the divine.

Like all words of prayer, it is possible to experience them deeply and to feel them alive

in our bodies and hearts.

We can enter this stream of blessing— we can access these qualities and bring them

into our lives.

Towards this end, click here for a video of a guided meditation on Birkat Kohanim.

Virgo End of June 2018 *What is the ex thinking* - Duration: 11:52.

Hi Virgo hi viewers if you haven't subscribed please click on the link

below and also click on the bell notification so that you can get my

readings when they come out, ok so let's just draw some cards for you

from the gilded tarot deck and find out what your Ex is thinking for the end of June

2018 remember this energy can go into the

month of July however you can check your July reading to find out whether you

know the information that you're getting is coming through the July as well

okay so let's find out what your Ex is thinking now Virgo what I'm feeling is

that your Ex is feeling quite regretful about a third party situation

they're also feeling that perhaps if they'd stayed with you that their wishes

could have been fulfilled but now they're feeling that you know that the

opportunity is too late for that opportunity now they can't get go

through it anymore okay so for some of them they feel like a children may have

been a burden for them so either this could be their own children or your

children so perhaps children were getting in a way of the relationship at

the time and I feel that you know the the issue of having children in their

life was just too much okay now again ( that's not a card ) so we are looking at a

third party relationship that occurred between you and another person so this

could be your Ex's third party which I'm feeling more strongly than than a third

party from your set from your side of things they're all I'm also being told

that there was quite a bit of jealousy so this could have been communication

between you and a person or the opposite sex that your partner was not pleased

about so perhaps they wanted to have you all them to themselves and and this may

have caused them to move into their own third party relationship as well okay so

what else is your Ex thinking so you could be dealing with a water sign

person you've got the king of cups here King of cups can indicate your Scorpio your

cancer or a pisces person I've seen quite strongly that it could actually be

a Scorpio person that you were dealing with in the past and here we are the Ex

is thinking that it is probably best that you guys moved on because here we

do have the nine of Pentacles with the star card so they feel like eventually a

wish has been fulfilled for them and for you perhaps there was somebody else that

moment and that's the place that they need to be right now so I understand

that how how difficult it is sometimes when you really want to have somebody

back and you really think there might be an opportunity for for you and them but

I'm just feeling like a few guys that the best thing at this time if you're

were dealing with a water sign is to move forward and to move on from this

person you know there could be a friendship a good friendship there but I

just don't feel like there could be anything more than that feel like you

know you Virgo have finally opened up your intuition and you're seeing that

things are much different now than they used to be so perhaps you don't have the

feelings for that person that you had before or that person doesn't have

feelings for you in the way that you thought they may have so sometimes our

Ex's can give off a sign that they're interested when really in fact they're

just trying to connect with us find out what's going on or to see you know

hopefully they're trying to find out whether you know their life is better

than better now without you in it or vice versa

captive Virgo's sometimes we're better off on our own or away from the people

that cause us problems okay so let's see what else is going on for your Ex okay

so that they're definitely still thinking about you if you're wondering

about whether they're thinking about you they're absolutely still thinking about

you you are on the for at the forefront of their mind they are

wondering about whether you're thinking of them even if you're still having

contact you are on their mind but they are seeing an ending there and then

seeing that the two of you will get back together okay so it just feels like

they're moving on and perhaps Virgo this might be a sign that you are going

to move on too so Virgo don't try and manifest this into something it's not

you know whether this king of cups person is right for you or not

I do feel again that you know this this either this water sign cancer Pisces or

a Scorpio you know things are not meant to be with this person at this time okay

so Virgo does that mean that new love is coming in for you let's find out

I'll give the cards a quick shuffle

okay so Virgo let's see if new love is coming in for you since we're

moving on from the Ex okay so for those who are interested I am using the gilded

tarot cards today and let's do a couple of romance angel

cards for Virgo as well beautiful so you know I I really dislike that this always

comes out for my Virgos but I'll just show you what I've got in a second

so asking if new love's coming in

Hello to anyone who's just opened into the forum okay so Virgo look

I hate to repeat be a broken record but look I don't know why you guys always

seem to be focused on your finances and career absolutely focused on your

finances in career look half of you are just not manifesting love I don't know

what's going on and it must be something to do with the retrogrades or the

planets or something and this goes for me to being a Virgo

it's it always feels like finances and career are on the forefront and it's

like your focused either so focus on money or career growth or

just bettering yourself and that's just such a Virgo trait but I do feel that

there is a past life relationship coming through for you so whoever is going to

be coming in for you is going to be a past life person it is but to be someone

that you've had some kind of spiritual or soul connection with, again this could

be that king of cups I was just mentioning earlier in the reading but

it's not about new love it's you guys it just feels like you're focused on your

career so I'm not happy within it so let's see if we can grab some tarot

cards see if some new love's coming in for you Virgo maybe it's time that you

start focusing on maybe other aspects of your life, geez Virgos yeah I'm sorry Virgo

but at this time I don't feel at least until the end of this at the end of this

month month so it's all about decisions virgos you need to decide Virgo what are

you going to focus on are you just going to focus on your career on your hobbies

on things to make you better and there's nothing wrong with with bettering

yourself really Virgo there's nothing wrong with it

I mean God I've probably done like a million courses but you need to start

thinking about what it is you're trying to focus on it's not it's no use trying

to focus just on your your love section or on your career section you've got to

learn how to have that balance with all of you so just just really think about

what it is you're trying to manifest I really want to see some better

cards for July and I'll be doing your guys for your guys reading for joy first

because I really want to start seeing some love and some romance coming into

virgos life can we please try it look can we get like a sneak peak please and thank

you for saying that you like my videos so let's get some can we please get

something for love we get something for love for virgos please for the month of

July we'll never sneak peek okay all right so that's a bit more positive so

we do have some heart to heart conversations so you guys look look like

July it might be a better month for you but remember what I said Virgo start

thinking about what you want to focus on what is it you want to focus on are you

wanting love or you trying to focus on your career you can't have both well you

can have both but you can't be focusing on two things just focus on one thing

the other one will come naturally so maybe your focus for the month of July

could be love bringing in a new person it's it's really really exciting okay so

let's get three tarot cards please for my Virgos regarding love so um

yep so you are gonna push through whatever barriers whatever problems or

issues you're going through now Virgo if it's regarding your career if it's

regarding your Ex if it's regarding your love life I do feel like you get a push

through it there is going to be I know this is totally off subject now but we

are looking at better financial control for the month of July just as a

sneak peak and some of you Virgos are going to be learning to communicate in a

different manner so sometimes we can be a little bit judgmental and harsh about

the way that we communicate things across and I know that as a double

Virgo but it's all about you guys thinking

about what is you're trying to focus on and how you're going to get things

across and how you're going to actually get into somebody's life and and start

bringing about a more romantic and gentle approach so your main energy for

the month of July we'll just put that I know it's about the Ex but we're

saying you just need to make the effort okay you just need to make the effort so

if you're looking at dating make the effort but for those

during what the Ex is thinking I do feel like your Ex is still thinking about you

but they're they're not thinking of you in the way that you possibly want them

to and you know quite frankly I'm just seeing this connection is one that

is probably best you know left as a friendship rather than a relationship so

of course this isn't going to resonate with everybody if you do have a

beautiful relationship with another person if you have got a wonderful

friendship that's blossoming into something else

obviously this reading isn't for you so just take what you need to from the

other segments of this reading but thank you so much Virgo for tuning in today

and I shall see you soon for another reading bye

England: You won't believe what Sam Allardyce was doing during Panama game - Duration: 1:33.

Allardyce managed England for just 67 days – and one game – before he left the role by mutual consent following allegations of malpractice in September 2016

He led the Three Lions to an injury time victory over Slovakia in their first qualifying game for this year's World Cup

And now two years later, Allardyce has been spotted watching his former side thrash Panama in their second game of the tournament while sat in a London pub eating a burger

Allardyce brought in the Big Mac before settling down to watch the Three Lions in action

And fans found it hilarious on Twitter. "Outside food in a pub?! Some like to live life on the edge," one fan said

Another wrote: "I bet he put a pound in the Jukebox & played It shouldve been me!" England are on their way to their biggest victory in a World Cup finals thanks to a brace from John Stones, a hat-tick from Harry Kane and one for Jesse Lingard

Kane's hat-trick is the first score for England since Gary Lineker in 1986.

Fake cab driver who was addicted to porn is jailed for 12 years after raping woman in his car - Duration: 5:14.

Aporn addict cruised the streets in a fake cab looking for a woman to rape - after watching films about bogus drivers forcing penniless customers to have sex

Alnadar Ahmed, 40, has been jailed for 12 years after choosing a young stranger to act out his sick fantasies - because 'her skirt was too short'

A court heard he was hooked on 'reality porn' sites depicting women pretending they cannot afford their dares and offering sex to the drivers as payment

In the early hours of New Year's Day, Ahmed drove into Hull, East Yorkshire, in his black Chevrolet determined to make his fantasies real

Determined to find a reveller to have sex with - or attack her if she said 'no' - he even parked in a taxi rank to fool his victim

Ahmed, who came to Hull 13 years ago from Sudan, was seen on CCTV hanging around outside the city's Fuel nightspot when the woman emerged

The girl, aged in her early 20s walked out just after 1am and Ahmed began to follow her as she walked through Hull City Centre, East Yorks, He said: 'What really was attracting my attention was her skirt and her legs

'Her skirt was too short and that's what I was able to see. When I saw her for the first glance I liked her

' Ahmed stalked her as she walked along the street and parked behind a genuine taxi

The woman spoke to him through the window and got in.Judge Mark Bury said: 'It's quite clear that she thought she was getting into a taxi

'That's not only clear from her evidence but also from a text she sent saying the taxi driver was a 'freak'

' He raped his victim in the front passenger seat after driving her close to her home, Hull Crown Court heard

Eleven days earlier, Ahmed used his mobile phone to view legal pornography on websites called Cabfake

com and BogusTaxi.com.Prosecutor Charlotte Baines said these showed 'young women in the rear of a black cab engaging in sexual activity with men depicted as cab drivers'

She continued: 'The defendant was hanging around in Hull city centre looking for a target and using his car to hold himself out as a taxi, to play out some sort of sexual fantasy, regardless of whether the complainant was consenting or not

' Just hours after the attack, Ahmed messaged another young woman on Facebook - offering his services as a taxi driver

He claimed he had done the woman a favour by innocently giving her a lift and reluctantly had consensual sex with her

Ahmed denied rape but was convicted. He claimed he had gone into the city centre to enjoy the 'atmosphere' of the new year celebrations

Ahmed's DNA was already on the police database after being the subject of a previous investigation and was arrested

Jailing him for 12 years, the judge told him: 'Within quarter of an hour you had in your car in the street raped a stranger

' The judge ordered Ahmed's car to be destroyed. He must register as a sex offender for life

Recovering AJ Ramos is just glad he now knows what was wrong - Duration: 6:18.

Recovering AJ Ramos is just glad he now knows what was wrong

Mets pitcher AJ Ramos is relieved to have found an explanation for why his once-considerable talents vanished seemingly overnight.

Ramos, who underwent surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan last week to repair a torn labrum in his right shoulder, said he was reluctant to blame his performance on any injury.

But at the same time, acknowledging the serious discomfort he had been feeling — since last September — gave him closure as to why he hadn't been pitching up to his usual standard.

"It kind of gave me some peace of mind, like, 'OK, it's not just in my head that I'm doing bad,'" Ramos said Sunday before the Mets fell to the Dodgers, 8-7, in 11 innings.

Deciding how to go about treatment was a struggle for Ramos, who knew his season and career were at stake.

He can become a free agent after the season.

"It was a tough decision, that's why it took so long," said Ramos, who was 2-2 with a 6.41 ERA in 28 appearances before going on the disabled list in late May.

"I think the team was giving me some privacy to try and make a decision, because once surgery is in the mix, especially being a free agent next year, it's kind of like a big decision to make.

     .

"It's disappointing to have it, but it's also getting my shoulder fixed.

I haven't had a healthy shoulder in God knows how long.".

What threw the training staff off, in Ramos' opinion, was how his velocity remained nearly normal.

Thus the belief nothing could be seriously wrong.

So the 31-year-old turned to routine treatment in attempt to get back on track.

"It just steady stayed at that same level, it didn't get no better, no worse," said Ramos, who revealed that the root of his injury was a loose shoulder capsule.

"We were okay with that, but then it started affecting the way that I pitched.

I wasn't able to go out there and do the things that I normally could and that was disappointing.".

Doctors were able to tell him from MRI exams that there was some tearing, fraying and his interior capsule was stretched out.

But Ramos took full responsibility for continuing to pitch at less than 100 percent.

"It's not like they're going to say, 'Oh, he was hurt so we're going to give those runs back.' That was still my responsibility," Ramos said.

"I affected those games daily, so I'm responsible for that.

Still, but at the same time, it is the way it is, it happened the way it did and now we're here.".

His recovery should be anywhere from a year to a year-and-a-half, but the 2016 All-Star believes he'll be ready before then.

With his free-agency looming, the added pressure to come back quickly is apparent to Ramos.

Though the situation is exactly the type of circumstances he believes he performs best in.

"Now my back is against the wall — how am I going to respond to this, because people don't come back from this very well," he said.

"When you're in danger of having something taken away from you that you've been playing your whole life, you're going to fight a little bit harder.

"I'm not focusing on what can or can't happen if I mess up, I'm filling my space with nothing but positivity, nothing but healing, nothing but things going forward to stay positive about it.

This is not a good surgery to have, especially being a free agent, especially being 31-years-old.".

The Texas native plans to stick around New York during his recovery, hoping to be around the team as much as he can.

He repeatedly mentioned how well the organization has treated him and he hopes to help out wherever he can.

"This will be my first summer I've had since I was like 7 or 8 years old.

This is my first summer not playing baseball," Ramos said.

"That alone is kind of a weird thing to think about.

Being around the guys will help out a lot.".

This Is What It's Like To Seek Asylum In America For Being Gay - Duration: 13:25.

Geoff Levy  I can't believe how far I've come in fulfilling my identity and freely living as my truest self

Just this past weekend, I found myself once again beating my face with contour, eye shadow and glitter as I was getting ready to perform in drag with three of my closest friends

The four of us had come together ― maybe through chance, maybe through curiosity ― and all found real joy in dressing up as drag queens and performing for our close friends from time to time

I came out to the makeshift stage dressed up in some red, Soviet-inspired fantasy look, and I lip-synced my heart out to one of my favorite Spanish gay anthems

My makeup, for the first time ever, was almost impeccable. I had finally mastered gluing my eyebrows, and I was really giving the illusion of having a woman's face

Our friends couldn't stop cheering, snapping pictures and cackling at our revelry

As I danced and twirled on the stage, a burst of emotion took over me and made my eyes water

"How did I get to this moment," I asked myself. Robb Nanus Luis and his friends doing drag

The truth is that life has not always been a queer fantasy for me. About 10 years ago, a group of people attempted to murder me in my native Ecuador because I'm gay

My country and my parents — who sent me to conversion therapy and physically and psychologically abused me for being gay — were not willing to protect me

So with absolutely nobody to rely on, I was forced to flee, leaving everything behind, in an attempt to find safety in the United States

I arrived in this country desperate and alone with only $200 in my pocket, some clothing, and goodbye letters from my two sisters and my friends

I was so scared, not only of what I had left behind, but also about having to permanently live in a country that was completely foreign to me

What was worse is that I didn't have a plan. I had been able to obtain a student visa to enter this country, but that visa only allowed me to live here for a couple of months

During the first few months, I often fell asleep crying, wondering if I had made the right decision, desperate to find a permanent solution

Through utter chance, a couple of weeks after I arrived, I became friends with an immigration lawyer in training

Through her, I learned about our asylum system and applied for asylum. The months that followed the application were an absolute nightmare

I had to fill out a form with my broken English and answer questions I did not fully understand — like whether I feared being tortured in Ecuador

For me, torture meant what I had seen in movies: what military members do to prisoners of war

So I answered no. Years later, I would find out that torture, in the legal sense, involves so much more than waterboarding

In fact, my parents had "tortured" me under the legal definition.  During the asylum interview, I was asked some of the most intrusive questions without any sort of compassion

I had to prove I was gay in order for me to receive asylum. Just imagine that. How do you prove that you are gay? Today, I would just show a picture of me in drag

Back then, I had almost nothing to show. I was fortunate enough, however, that I was dating somebody at the time and very lucky that he agreed to wait outside of the interview room for me to call him and literally introduce him as a piece of evidence

I cried during the interview, and, with no compassion, the officer asked me to leave the room until I was done crying

When the four-hour interview ended, I was told I would receive a decision in the mail within a couple of months

Every day that passed, my despair and my inability to adjust in this country kept growing

I lost my ability to work legally, my grandfather passed away and I could not attend his funeral, and my car broke down, so I had to rely on others to get groceries, visit the doctor and comply with my immigration appointments

I was alone, and I often thought of 'correcting' my sexual orientation and going back to Ecuador, to all of the things I had left behind

I was alone and I did not find comfort anywhere. During this time, I often thought of "correcting" my sexual orientation and going back to Ecuador, to all of the things I had left behind

The truth is that if you would have asked me then to pick between my life in the United States as an asylum-seeker and my life in Ecuador pretending to be a straight man, I would have chosen the second one

To say that I barely survived during my first year in this country is not an understatement

Even today, just writing about this brings me so much pain.  In August of 2009, I was granted asylum in the United States, and two years ago I finally became a U

S. citizen. Becoming a citizen had a transformative power in my life. At that point, after feeling I had finally reached real safety, I started discovering things about myself I did not know before

I let myself explore my more feminine side by using language and gestures that my entire life I had seen as being limited to women

I put a wig on and wore pumps for the first time.  As I played with new experiences, I began to question things I had assumed were true for 28 years

Like, why does a man need to make his voice deep in order to be respected? Or why was a firm handshake — which, to be fair, hurts — a symbol of politeness and chivalry? Why did I need to carry myself in a masculine way so other gay guys would find me attractive? What was it that impeded me from wearing a dress or skirt in public?  The more I realized that all of these rules I had learned my entire life were all made up — most of them rooted in sexism and misogyny — the more I took back control over my body, my language and myself

Often, I think back to the things I never did while I lived in Ecuador, like talking with my hands or wearing an earring

And now, I do exactly that and more. To me, this is the real gift that this country gave me: the ability to be my true self without fear of being harmed, jailed or killed

Alex Pigeon  My transformation was contagious. As I was changing, my friends started changing as well

Like a set of dominoes, one by one all of them started trying drag, pearls, wigs and heels

Our friendships grew stronger, and the feeling of belonging and freedom was evident in our circle and envied outside of it

Anybody who had the chance to spend time with us and follow us in our extravagance was so shocked to have found the true taste of freedom

Today, I am incredibly thankful to this country for giving me the opportunity to be exactly who I wanted to be

But my story is not unique. At this very moment, there are hundreds of our LGBTQI siblings waiting at our borders desperately trying to find the same safety I found in this country

Most them will be deported and will never get to thrive as I did.  So during this Pride Month, the very minimum you and I can do is to not take anything we have for granted

Let's commit today to take control back of our lives and live them in their fullest version, to work on getting rid of toxic masculinity and to be fully embracing of the many beautiful variables of human beings in our community

Being the fullest version of ourselves not only means doing drag or flaunting some cute pumps on the street; it also means being politically involved, fighting so every single person in our community gets to enjoy the rights and freedom you and I have today

Who knows? If we stand up for our asylum-seeker siblings today, they might become our friends tomorrow and fill our lives with the color and joy I was able to bring to this country

What Is the Best Magnesium Supplement to Take - Duration: 9:09.

What is the best magnesium supplement to take the role of magnesium in the body

first let's look at the role of

magnesium in the body

Magnesium is necessary for over 300 different reaction pathways in the human body

It maintains healthy muscle function and helps nerve health

Magnesium is a part of regulating blood glucose

Keeping your heartbeat steady during the day and in conjunction with calcium helps maintain strong bones

Overall magnesium is one of the essential minerals in the human body

Therefore it is surprising that an estimated 80 percent of Americans suffer from some degree of magnesium

Deficiency those numbers probably also apply to most of the Western world but research is scarce, err in other Western countries

Why is hard to say perhaps it is due to magnesium strain on farmland

Resulting in farm produce with smaller amounts of magnesium than expected or it could just be due to a lifestyle with more

monotonous food choices

Regardless of the reasons due to this ubiquitous

magnesium deficiency

Supplementation with magnesium should be a no brainer for most Western people. However, when you go to select your magnesium

Supplement you are confronted with a dizzying amount of choices

But what magnesium supplement is best for you types of magnesium supplements?

There are at least eleven common types of magnesium supplements readily available in stores across the world with more

Appearing each year in this list I go over the more common ones and the ones I regard as superior to the others

magnesium amino acid chelate

This is a form of magnesium where the magnesium ion has been trapped in a chelate structure

which is often highly absorbent from the digestive system into the bloodstream as

Such the bioavailability of magnesium amino acid chelate is among the highest available commercially

Magnesium carbonate magnesium carbonate is the most common form of magnesium

supplements that are available

It is sometimes - as magnesia and is consistently used to treat constipation

And as a relief from acid reflux

The bioavailability of magnesium carbonate is rather low compared to the other types also

Being a carbonate when digested it lowers the stomach acid levels, which sometimes can cause acid reflux rebound

Magnesium chloride magnesium chloride is in many respects the simplest of the magnesium

Supplements available. It dissolves quite readily in water and some specialized table salts have it as a component

Magnesium citrate this is a form of magnesium that is bound to a sitter eight ion, which is the salt of citric acid

Magnesium citrate is considered one of the better forms of magnesium as its spire

Availability is among the highest found and it can be taken with or without food

Magnesium lactate some studies have found that this form of magnesium has the highest bioavailability

However, some people can experience side effects from this supplement such as diarrhea bloating and upset stomach

others experience symptoms similar to allergic responses

This is most likely due to the lactate that the magnesium is bound to as it is a known allergen and irritant for certain people

magnesium oxide for a long time this form of magnesium

supplement was the only one available and it is by far the cheapest however recent research found that the bioavailability of

Magnesium oxide is extremely poor about 4% which means that it is almost useless as a supplement

Even so this form is still being sold and some brands try to trick consumers by mixing

magnesium oxide in with other types of magnesium supplements one such example is a brand which labels its product as

Magnesium citrate yet. If you read the contents you discover. That each tablet is about 80%

Magnesium oxide so when selecting your magnesium supplement, you should be aware of this and always read the contents

magnesium or oat eat

Magnesium or oat eight is interesting form of magnesium

Supplements it is both useful as a magnesium supplement with good

Bioavailability and it is also used as an aura Tate supplement which can improve athletic performance and endurance

Also, it has been shown to have some benefits for heart health

This is however not the best supplement for magnesium deficiency

Unless you are also attempting to improve your athletic abilities or you are worried about your heart

magnesium sulfate

magnesium

Sulfate also known as epsom salts has many uses one of which is as a laxative to assist in weight loss or to solve

constipation problems

Personally, I would never use this form of supplement for magnesium deficiency

magnesium glycinate

Torrid and malate these forms of magnesium are similar and they show comparable bioavailability

Which is in the upper range with the malate form being slightly less absorbable

What is the best magnesium supplement to take when we start to compare the different varieties of?

Magnesium supplements, there are a couple of things we need to take into account

First we need to take into account

Bioavailability which is the ability of the body to absorb that particular mineral

next we need to look at the maximum absorbance that can occur at any given time frame and finally we need to

Consider the effect of the supplement on the digestive system

With this in mind it is my opinion that for healthy individuals

Magnesium chelate are the best bet my wife and I use it regularly to avoid any magnesium

deficiencies that may occur it is also quite safe to take in recommence doses as the

Toxicity levels of magnesium are rather high in a healthy person the brand I would recommend for dietary magnesium

Is doctors best which can be bought from Amazon?

Which is the brand me and my wife use in some cases other types may be more beneficial for example

Magnesium or oat ate has been shown to have benefits for the heart and magnesium citrate can help if you suffer from constipation problem

But as always you should discuss this with your doctor before starting any long term mineral

supplementation how to take magnesium

You should always follow the advice of your doctor

But otherwise you should take it twice a day with meals if you are using

magnesium carbonate with or without meals for magnesium chelate or magnesium citrate

The container should also have good advice

Benefits of magnesium supplements for weight loss a lot of websites claim that magnesium is helpful for weight loss

However, this is false except in one particularly unhealthy sense

While some studies have shown that magnesium can regulate blood sugar

None have shown an effect on metabolic rate in otherwise healthy people having said that

Magnesium in high doses especially magnesium sulfate can be used as a laxative

This causes your body to lose water weight and prevents healthy digestion of the food you eat

resulting in reduced body weight

Using this method will only result in very temporary weight loss as the weight will all come back as soon as you stop using

Magnesium in such an unhealthy and dangerous way for a permanent weight loss

You should focus on healthier foods a more active lifestyle and perhaps integrate 12-hour fasting into your daily routine

Magnesium can help you fall asleep and get a good night's sleep

Magnesium can help you fall asleep and get a good night's sleep

Source benefits of magnesium supplements for sleep. If you are having trouble sleeping, then you should definitely try dietary magnesium

Supplements it is a well-known scientific fact that magnesium helps with insomnia

Magnesium helps your muscles relax and reduces cortisol, which is a stress hormone in your blood together

This is often enough to help people with slight. Insomnia get a better night's sleep

And the best part is that you cannot form a dependence on magnesium

Beyond the one already there

What is a rabona and where does it gets its name? - Duration: 3:47.

Don't let anybody tell you great footballers aren't also artists.  And by artists we mean millionaires who can do funny things with their legs

Yes, occasionally footballers do like to display a bit of balletic skill on the pitch, sometimes to mystify an opponent but oftentimes to show off

Rare footballing skill moves are very difficult to spot, but one which has been displayed with aplomb during the World Cup in Russia is the rabona

What does it involve, how often do you see it and why is it called a rabona?  A rabona is a footie move which involves wrapping a leg behind the one you are standing on, and kicking the ball with it

It wasn't caught on film until 1957, but it was first used seven decades ago by Argentine striker Ricardo Infante (who died in 2008)

In 1948 he scored using his new move the rabona, 35 metres away from the goal, and everyone was very impressed

It wasn't popularised as a move until the 1970s, and at that time the main exponent was Italian star Giovanni "Cocò" Roccotelli

Consequently, it was known by Italian name incrociata meaning 'crossed-kick'.  Rabonas are usually used to outwit an opponent who is tackling you, though sometimes they can be useful for goal-scoring

If a striker is in the wrong position to score using their preferred foot, they can use a rabona

They can also rabona the ball to get the angle right when in a tight spot.  It's called a rabona because the word in Spanish means to play truant, or 'hooky'

And a magazine front cover of Ricardo Infante after his rabona goal showed him dressed as a schoolboy with the caption 'El infante que se hizo la rabona" (The infant plays hooky)

However, some think the name's origin comes from the Spanish world rabo for tail, because the move resembles the swishing of a cow's tail around its legs

In Brazil, the move has two very different names chaleira (kettle) or letra (letter)

A rabona is also a step in the tango dance, and it took its name from the football move

Blood Moon 2018 prophecy: What is the Blood Moon prophecy and will the world end? - Duration: 6:45.

The Blood Moon prophecy purports to reveal hidden messages in the Christian Bible about the end times approaching

Next month on July 27 the Blood Moon will peak in the night skies during the July total lunar eclipse

The astronomical event marks the second total lunar eclipse and Blood Moon of the year

The last Blood Moon appeared in the skies on January 3 during the rare Super Blue Blood Moon spectacle

Related articles Blood Moon 28: July total lunar eclipse will be LONGEST of century Blood Moon 28: Total eclipse latest - How to watch the Blood Moon  Some Christian conspiracy theorists who keenly watched the moon travel across the night sky claimed the Blood Moon prophecy was being fulfilled

The apocalyptic prophecy itself can be traced back to ChristianministersJohn Hagee and Mark Biltz who claimed to have found references of a blood moon tetrad in the Bible

A tetrad is a series of four consecutive lunar eclipses which supposedly began in the year 24

The first eclipse in the prophesied tetrad took place on April 5, 24, and was followed by Blood Moons on October 8, 24, April 4,25and September 28, 25

According to the Endtime Ministries, a Christian group preaching the end times gospel, a number of prophecies in the Bible predict the moon will turn blood red at the end of the world

For instance, Joel 2:3-3 states: "And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke

"The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come

" The Book of Revelations also states 6:2 the moon will turn red: "And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood

" Irvin Baxter, president of the Endtime Ministeries, said: "The Bible teaches that end event is coming just ahead of us now and that will be the greatest prophetic fulfilment in the last 2, years

The Chilling Blood Moon Fri, February , 27 Pictures from around the world of rare astronomical event

The blood moon rises as supermoon and lunar eclipse combine. EPA of Total Lunar Eclipse, also known as a Blood Moon in Vietnam  "I'm talking greater than the rebirth of the nation of Israel

Greater than the reunification of Jerusalem." But for most people in the scientificcommunitythe Blood Moon prophecy is unsubstantiated bunkum

Geoffrey Gaherty, a writer for Starry Night Education, said he was saddened by conspiracy theories latching onto stellar spectacles like the eclipse

He said: "As an ardent skywatcher who derives much pleasure from beautiful events like lunar eclipses, it saddens me that there are 'prophets of doom' in the world who view these life-enriching events as portents of disaster

" And there is no reason to believe the Blood Moon is a sign from the heavens because scientists understand very well the mechanics behind why the moon turns red during an eclipse

The effect is known as Rayleigh scattering and the phenomenon is responsible for painting the skies blue and sunsets red

During aneclipsethe moon will pass directly behind the sun and Earth to hide in the planet's shadow

But instead of completely vanishing, certain bands of red sunlight will paint the moon a deep copper-like red hue

This happens because sunlight bending around the planet scatters in the atmosphere and filters out colours of various wavelengths

Red is least affected by the scattering which in turns makes the moon change colour

Jesse Lingard's gem against Panama was just what he needed - Duration: 3:07.

I said in Saturday's Sportsmail that Jesse Lingard needed to add goals to his game and it's fair to say he answered me

Panama had obviously done their homework. Gabriel Gomez had been earmarked to more or less man-mark Jesse

They kicked him, they pulled him, they elbowed him but he got through all that and his performance was terrific

Energy-wise, his levels were high, he ran into a great position for the first penalty and then his goal was simply the best of the day

I thought Jesse Lingard would never make it at Manchester. Share this article Share In many ways he reminds me of Mark Hughes's goal threat

They are, of course, totally different players but, like Jesse, Mark used to be criticised for missing too many easy chances but then score a spectacular one which left you saying, 'Where did that come from?'Jesse is now doing the same with some spectacular goals for club and country

What really impressed me though is his fitness. You can see after he went off that he was joking on the bench, juggling a pair of dirty socks — that's what he's like, full of life

Yet what he does on the pitch isn't easy.It was 30 degrees out there and the short sprinting and hard running he does is incredibly draining

The fact Gareth Southgate took him off with Harry Kane should be a major boost to Jesse's confidence as it is clear he is considered important to our plans

We have two games to think about now, not just one, and Gareth was obviously looking to rest him

Confidence is really high now, although we should not be carried away.Panama are arguably the competition's worst team

They did incredibly well to qualify but if we had been playing the USA it would have been a different contest

As it is, the lads did their job well. Beating anyone 6-1 in a World Cup finals is a great performance but now the real competition begins

Jesse Lingard's gem against Panama was just what he needed - Duration: 3:43.

I said in Saturday's smail that Jesse Lingard needed to add goals to his game and it's fair to say he answered me

In many ways he reminds me of Mark Hughes's goal threat.

Beating anyone 6-1 in a finals is a great performance but now the real competition begins
