Seoul's FM say U.S. Secretary of State mentioned his willingness - Duration: 1:04.

On the one year anniversary of her inauguration, South Korea's Foreign Affairs Minister Kang

Kyung-wha held a press briefing where she fielded questions, mostly, on North Korea-U.S.

summit and the latest developments in North Korea.

Having talked with U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, again this morning, Minister

Kang said the two exchanged details on Pompeo's visit to China and the first general-level

military talks between the two Koreas.

She added that Pompeo was determined to carry out the follow-up measures on their agreement

with the North "speedily".

When asked how South Korea sees U.S. President Trump's comments on Seoul and Tokyo paying

for Pyongyang's denuclearization cost, she said it is thought that all stakeholders will

contribute in various ways.

Minister Kang also mentioned that within this month, the ministry will announce its plans

to make the issue of Japan's sexual enslavement of women during the second World War a grave

human rights issue of the world.

US, South Korea could pause some joint drills - Duration: 1:11.

South Korea and the U.S. are expected to announce a suspension of "large-scale" joint military

exercises this week.

That's according to South Korean news agency Yonhap.

This potential announcement comes after the U.S.-North Korea summit on June 12.

There, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un recommitted to "complete denuclearization" in exchange

for some "security guarantees" from President Donald Trump.

The president also said he would put a stop to some U.S.-South Korean military exercises,

calling them "war games."

A government source told Yonhap that there will most likely be a clause in the announcement

that says the drills could resume if North Korea doesn't follow through on its denuclearization

promise.

At a Senate hearing on Thursday, the Trump administration's nominee for ambassador to

South Korea, retired Adm. Harry Harris, supported President Trump's idea of suspending the drills.

He said he thought the suspension would only affect major exercises but that regular training

of U.S. troops in South Korea would continue.

There's no word on how the announcement would affect the next major joint exercise — called

Ulchi Freedom Guardian — which was originally expected to take place later this year.

Jeff Sessions Stepped Up And Did The One Thing Obama's Deep State Never Expected - Duration: 11:54.

Jeff Sessions Stepped Up And Did The One Thing Obama's Deep State Never Expected

Barack Obama and his Deep State loyalists have pulled every trick in the book to run

Donald Trump out of office.

Their main weapon was the Trump-Russia collusion dossier.

Now Jeff Sessions just stepped up to the plate and did the one thing they never expected.

Bruce G. Ohr was the associate deputy attorney general.

He was a high ranking official in the Justice Department who worked just doors down from

deputy attorney general Rod Rosenstein.

But Ohr was hiding a secret.

During the campaign, he had communications with Christopher Steele – the ex-British

intelligence agent who was hired by Fusion GPS to produce the Russia collusion dossier.

And after Trump's victory, he met with Fusion GPS founder Glenn Simpson.

Critics suspected he was an Obama loyalist who helped spread the dossier as part of plan

to undermine the President.

His misdeeds did not go unpunished.

Conservatives cheered when it was announced he was being demoted from his positions as

associated deputy attorney general.

The Daily Caller reports:

"THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE HAS DEMOTED A TOP OFFICIAL OVER HIS CONTACTS WITH THE FORMER

BRITISH SPY WHO AUTHORED THE TRUMP DOSSIER AS WELL AS WITH FUSION GPS, THE OPPOSITION

RESEARCH FIRM THAT COMMISSIONED THE SALACIOUS DOCUMENT.

FOX NEWS REPORTS THAT BRUCE G. OHR WAS REMOVED FROM HIS POSITION AS ASSOCIATE DEPUTY ATTORNEY

GENERAL ON WEDNESDAY.

OHR, WHO WORKED IN CLOSE PROXIMITY TO DEPUTY ATTORNEY GENERAL ROD ROSENSTEIN, HAD CONTACTS

LAST YEAR WITH DOSSIER AUTHOR CHRISTOPHER STEELE AS WELL AS WITH GLENN SIMPSON, THE

CO-FOUNDER OF FUSION GPS.

A JUSTICE DEPARTMENT SPOKESPERSON CONFIRMED TO THE DAILY CALLER THAT OHR WAS NO LONGER

WORKING IN THE OFFICE OF THE DEPUTY ATTORNEY GENERAL.

ACCORDING TO FOX NEWS, OHR MET STEELE AT SOME POINT DURING THE PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN.

HE MET SIMPSON AROUND THANKSGIVING 2016.

DURING THAT COFFEE MEETING, SIMPSON AND OHR REPORTEDLY DISCUSSED THE DOSSIER, THE TRUMP

INVESTIGATION AND SIMPSON'S FRUSTRATION WITH TRUMP'S ELECTORAL VICTORY."

Rush Limbaugh has described the dossier and the subsequent collusion investigation as

maybe the greatest dirty trick in American political history.

While the media has claimed the investigation as legitimate, the truth is Limbaugh is correct.

Over 18 months of investigations have not turned up any evidence of collusion.

All Mueller has are process crimes and indictments on decade-old work done by Trump associates

before they joined his campaign.

Ohr is the second anti-Trump partisan who faced professional consequences during the

Mueller probe.

Peter Strzok – the FBI agent who led the interview of Michael Flynn – was reassigned

after it was discovered he had exchanged anti-Trump text messages with another FBI agent he was

allegedly having an affair with.

The entire collusion investigation was a set-up.

It was a fantasy floated by the Clinton campaign and Obama-loyalists in the government to provide

an excuse to start an investigation into every aspect of Trump's life so they could impeach

him.

But this cancer is being surgically removed as the partisans who kick started this witch

hunt are beginning to pay the price for their actions.

Hope for inter-Korean economic cooperation grows following North Korea-U.S. summit - Duration: 2:51.

Expectations for inter-Korean economic cooperation are growing following the achievements reached

at the recent North Korea-U.S. summit in Singapore.

The South Korean government and local businesses hope Pyongyang sticks to its word on denuclearization,...

so sanctions are lifted and business can start to blossom again.

Kim Hyesung reports.

A more prosperous future for North Korea?

Maybe,... but only if it scraps its nuclear arsenal.

This is part of a video clip U.S. President Donald Trump presented to North Korean leader

Kim Jong-un at their historic summit in Singapore.

The agreement between Pyongyang and Washington to work toward the regime's complete denuclearization

is raising hopes for the lifting of global sanctions in the future and the opening of

inter-Korean economic cooperation, which was highlighted as a foundation for peace and

prosperity in the Panmumjom Declaration signed in April.

President Moon Jae-in's "New Economic Map for the Korean Peninsula" calls for the linking

of three economic belts, covering transportation, logistics and industry,... energy and natural

resources,... as well as the environment and tourism along the Demilitarized Zone.

"From reconnecting railways between the two Koreas to modernizing infrastructure in the

North, hopes of inter-Korean economic cooperation are high."

South Korean companies, including Hyundai Group, have set up special task forces to

look into possible infrastructure projects and the reopening of the Kaesong Industrial

Complex.

North Korea's underdeveloped roads, railways and energy needs are all seen as enormous

business opportunities, not to mention its labor force and an estimated six trillion

U.S. dollar's worth of mineral reserves, including iron and zinc.

"Combined with North Korea, the Korean peninsula will boast a market of 80 million people.

South Korea, which is stuck in a middle-income trap, will be able to find a new growth engine,...

while the North will be able to modernize its economy.

If successful, transport links could open a pathway to enter the rest of the Eurasian

continent.

But all this is for the long-run and only after international sanctions on Pyongyang

are lifted."

Since last year,... the UN Security Council has banned all key North Korean exports, capped

fuel shipments to the North, and subjected North Korean government officials to a global

asset freeze led by the Trump administration's "maximum pressure" campaign.

On top of ridding sanctions,... getting funding resources for possible projects remain as

challenges.

But to seize the opportunity,... the South Korean government and companies' preparation

to engage in economic cooperation with the North is now only gaining further traction.

Can Universal Healthcare Actually Happen in the U.S.? - Duration: 4:09.

Paying too much money to see a doctor getting charged crazy amounts just for

routine procedures and trying to figure out exactly what is covered by your

insurance. Why is the health care system in the U.S. so broken. Most countries in

the world have some form of universal health care sometimes called

single-payer, because everybody pays into it everybody benefits from it - sort of

like public schools or public transportation. Basically you take away

private insurers and the government runs the insurance program and so the

government is the single payer. In the U.S., the idea of universal healthcare

has always been a non-starter, especially on the federal level but it's quickly

picking up steam among young Americans. A recent poll showed forty five percent of

people between 18 and 29 support single-payer, and 66 percent of young

Democrats. More and more people are realizing that that we can't stay on

this trajectory. Millennial generation is the highest level of uninsured in the

country. Not only do we not have access to employer plans on an increasing level,

we also don't have the money that our parents generation had in terms of real

wage growth. As enthusiasm around the idea continues to grow, some states aren't

waiting for Congress. But when New York California and Vermont tried to enact

their own versions of universal health care in the last few years, their efforts failed.

But there's one state where some think it just might work: Maryland.

And there's one candidate for governor who's betting on it: if we want

to unlock opportunity in our states we've got to fix the health care system.

There's no state that's ever been in a better position than us to make

single-payer happen. Why might Maryland be different?

Well most notably, the state tends to be left-leaning, with twice as many

registered Democrats as Republicans. Maryland also has the highest median

income in the U.S., which means more people with money who can pay into the

system. Canada started with one province standing up and saying that we will do it.

Maryland can be that state here. We have the will, we've already shown that

if we move in this direction we can save hundreds of millions of dollars.

Ben Jealous isn't alone in embracing single-payer

for his election campaign. Gubernatorial candidates in Iowa, California,

Massachusetts, and Michigan, among others, are all running on a medicare-for-all

type platform. Why is this gaining traction? Because of the pain in our

society, and we've hit a place where health care's become so expensive and

is exerting so much pressure, not just on working families but on small

businesses, that something's gotta give. But single payer advocates

aren't so sure this could actually happen in Maryland. Or that trying to

solve this on the state level is necessarily even the right approach. You

can really only do it at the national level, because there's so many national

laws and policies that get in the way. That even if you passed a

bill that looked something like single payer, you would then find

yourself trying to get waivers from the federal government. Until recently,

campaigning on a single-payer health care platform might have been political

suicide. But things are changing. Bernie Sanders' "Medicare for All" plan last

year garnered 15 Senate co-sponsors, including some potential presidential

contenders. Just two years earlier he couldn't even find one. I think it's

notable that every Democrat who wants to be president who's in the U.S. Senate has

signed on to Bernie Sanders bill. There's a big battle that's gonna be played

out in the Democratic Party over health care. The country has been activated,

I mean, we all watched what happened when Trump tried to get rid of the Affordable Care

Act and there were thousands of people down in Washington, some people sitting

in, you saw disabled people being carried out of you know the Senate and House buildings. We're

working just as hard and in some cases harder for longer hours, but we're

getting less. We see that money is being generated in this country, it's just

going into the pockets of the super wealthy

Fears crude oil price to be victim of US and China TRADE WAR as Bejing threatens tariffs - News US - Duration: 2:32.

On Friday, China threatened a response after Donald Trump announced tariffs on more than $5billion (£37

68billion) worth of Chinese goods coming into the US. The tariffs, expected to be on US energy products could crash the US energy and fossil fuel markets

One expert has called the threatened energy tariffs "a big development" in international trade relations

Matt Smith, director of commodity research at ClipperData, said: "This is a big deal

"China is essentially the largest customer for US crude now, and so for crude it's an issue, let alone when you involve refined products too

"This is obviously a big development." Bernadette Johnson with American energy consultancy Drillinginfo says tariffs will increase prices for other petroleum products including propane and liquefied natural gas

She said: "The constant back and forth about the tariffs creates a lot of market uncertainty that makes it harder to sell cargoes or sign long-term trade deals

"  Speaking on Friday, China confirmed they would be arranging tariffs, but said they wanted to avoid a trade war

The Commerce Ministry said: "China does not want a trade war. "We will immediately launch tariff measures that will match the scale and intensity of those launched by the United States

"All economic and trade agreements reached by previous negotiations will be nullified at the same time

" China is currently the world's biggest buyer of US oil.  They import an estimated 363, barrels of American crude oil every day

They also take in about 2, barrels of other petroleum products each day including propane

The US has been encouraging countries to buy oil for them, rather than Iran, and is currently exporting a record two million barrels of crude every single day

China is also the world's largest importer of Iranian oil. In the first quarter of 218, they were purchasing around 65, barrels each day from the country

Former U.S. Ambassador To Mexico Calls Trump's Immigration Policies 'Un-American' - Duration: 8:55.

Former U.S. Ambassador To Mexico Calls Trump's Immigration Policies 'Un-American'

In her first interview since resigning in May, former U.S.

ambassador to Mexico, Roberta Jacobson, gives a blistering critique of the Trump administrations zero-tolerance immigration agenda.

Jacobson tells NPRs Lulu Garcia-Navarro enforcement actions that result in children being separated from their parents, as well as a recent decision to narrow the definition of what qualifies someone for asylum, are draconian and un-American..

She says Trumps immigration policies are among the many reasons she chose to resign after serving for less than two years as Americas top diplomat to Mexico.

It is very difficult to see how these policies either help the United States or the countries from which the migrants are coming, Jacobson says.

Unless the administration can address the reasons why migrants from Mexico and Central America are coming to the U.

, she says, no amount of draconian and frankly, un-American policies, as I believe these are, is really going to make a permanent difference, but it may affect our own standing in the world and certainly in the region.

Jacobsons comments add to a chorus of criticism that has faced the administration since April when Attorney General Jeff Sessions outlined a zero-tolerance policy in which anyone caught crossing the U.S.-Mexico border illegally would face prosecution.

The approach has come under fire as a growing number of children has been separated from their parents as a result of the policy.

Between April 19 and the end of May, a total of 1,995 minors were separated from their alleged adult guardians, according to the Department of Homeland Security.

Trump has blamed Democrats for forcing the breakup of families, yet no law requires children to be taken from their parents if they cross the border illegally.

The president has called the separations cruel, but when asked about the policy this week, White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders said it is very biblical to enforce the law. Sessions has also cited the Bible in defending the policy.

The administration came under additional criticism this past Monday following a decision by Sessions to impose new limits on who can gain asylum in the U.

, ruling that most migrants fleeing domestic abuse or gang violence will not qualify.

Jacobson says, however, that her decision to resign was about more than just immigration alone.

She said she encountered increasing difficulty in defending the administrations policies toward Mexico, and in trying to work in what one might call sort of regular order with the Mexican government, that was quite keen to work with us and quite willing to have a deeper and more productive relationship.

only to see that sort of blown up periodically by tweets or rallies about the wall or about characterizing Mexicans..

Jacobson, who spent more than three decades at the State Department, says she tried mightily to influence decisions and establish a more cooperative relationship between the Trump administration and the Mexican government, but said she struggled to do so under former Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, who she called difficult to reach.

Jacobson calls Tillersons successor, Mike Pompeo, more accessible in general, but conceded that she was unfamiliar with his views on Mexico.

The former ambassador says she was also stymied by the White Houses decision to channel recent talks with the Mexican government through Trumps son-in-law, Jared Kushner.

In March, Kushner traveled to Mexico to meet with President Enrique Peña Nieto and Foreign Secretary Luis Videgaray, but according to media reports, Jacobson was not invited to join those conversations.

Its always problematic for an ambassador to be left out of meetings like that.

It gives me no great joy to admit that, Jacobson says.

When someone who is clearly the lead on the policy issue on Mexico comes to the capital and youre not in the meeting with the foreign secretary or the president, its a signal to a foreign government that you are not as important, that you can be ignored..

Jacobsons comments come as the traditionally close relationship between the U.S.

and Mexico has grown increasingly strained.

Late last month, the Trump administration said it would impose tariffs of 25 percent on steel from Mexico, and tariffs of 10 percent on aluminum.

Mexico hit back days later with tariffs on about $3 billion worth of American pork, steel, cheese and other goods.

Meanwhile, the two countries appear locked in a stalemate over the future of the North American Free Trade Agreement, which Trump is seeking to renegotiate, arguing that it disadvantages American workers.

On the issue of NAFTA, Jacobson says the negotiations are one of the most difficult uncertainties facing businesses in Mexico, the U.S.

and Canada.

Im talking not just about Fortune 500 companies, but the small and medium sized enterprises, the mom and pop stores that export and are part of integrated supply chains, Jacobson says.

We know a lot about how the auto industry is integrated in North America, but there are dozens of other industries that are very integrated, and if NAFTA were to go away, theyd be adversely affected..

Jacobson says the U.S.

is testing the limits of our cooperation with Mexico, and warned that given the perception in Mexico that the government of Peña Nieto has not adequately stood up to Trump, the next administration could be much less accommodating.

I dont think theres any doubt that any president whos elected in Mexico this July will have to push back harder than the current administration did.

Son of U.S. soldier left behind in Vietnam - Duration: 7:06.

Jimmy Miller remembers being called "half-breed" growing up.Born in 1967 in the then South Vietnam capital of Saigon, now Ho Chi Minh City, Miller is the child of a Vietnamese mother and an American soldier

His parents were married, Miller said, but as the war pushed on, his father was injured and sent home

For Miller and other "Amerasians" like him, life in Vietnam was full of bullying, abuse and fear of the government, he recalled

"When we grow up as Amerasian, people called us names," Miller said. "Other kids throw rocks at us or beat us

And we don't have good education."So when Miller heard that the U.S. had passed laws at the end of 1987 to make it easier for Amerasians and their immediate family to come to the U.S

He applied immediately. In 1989, at the age of 22, he was granted permission to move to the U.S. by way of the Philippines

After six months there, Miller and his family settled in Spokane, Washington, in 1990."I felt very happy that I finally came to my fatherland," Miller said

I finally have my freedom. I finally have an opportunity for my future."Today, Miller works to help Amerasians in Vietnam come to the U.S

Through Amerasians Without Borders, a nonprofit he created in 2015. The group ships DNA kits to those still in Vietnam, helps petition for them to immigrate to the U.S

Should they have a positive match, and then helps resettle and support the immigrants when they arrive in Spokane

Congress estimated that approximately 20,000 to 30,000 Amerasians and their family members lived in Vietnam in 1987, though by 1994 more than 75,000 had left the country to resettle in the U.S

According to a report by the U.S. General Accounting Office.Miller said he has tested 500 people living in Vietnam and estimates that there are about 400 Amerasians left in the country

Many, including Miller, came to the U.S. hoping to find their fathers, though the process can be difficult

While Miller came to the U.S. with his mother and siblings, all they had of their father was his name, a photograph, and a letter he'd written in 1969 with no return address

I spent years looking for my father," Miller said. After sending a letter to the Red Cross and hearing back, Miller thought his father had died

But in 1995, Miller's youngest sister Trinh wanted to get him a wedding gift that he would never forget

At the time, she was volunteering at the Spokane Public Library. She asked a co-worker how she might find someone

"This was before the internet, so he told her if she had an address, you could call the library in that town, to see if they have them in their system," Miller said

While they did not have a return address on the letter Miller's father had mailed, the letter did have a postmark from Fayetteville, North Carolina

"She called the Fayetteville library and asked if they have a James Miller on file," Miller said. There were three

"Then she asked if any of them have a middle initial 'A' for Arthur, and there was just one.".Miller's sister called the number on file, explained who she was, and left her brother's contact information

Miller's father called him, but initially asked for Phan, the younger Miller's Vietnamese name, mispronouncing it

"I thought, 'oh well he is looking for the guy that used to live here, so I hang up,'" Jimmy Miller said

About 15 minutes later, James Miller called back, and said he needed to talk to Jimmy, his son. "At first I was shocked, and I still did not believe it," the younger Miller said

"I thought it was someone who had seen my story, and they were trying to trick me.".Not long after, Jimmy Miller's father and stepmother flew from North Carolina to Washington, to spend a month with him after 27 years apart

Meeting his father inspired Miller to start his nonprofit."I grew up in Vietnam, and I feel the hardship

I feel the hardships of everyone," Miller said. "That is why I want to get them out. How can we forget the brothers and sisters still struggling in Vietnam?"The process to qualify under the 1987 law is more difficult now than it was when Miller came to the U.S

He said. To qualify for an Amerasian visa, one must include an application with a "detailed explanation," including evidence

Many Amerasians lack any information who their parents are after being put up for adoption or being abandoned by their mothers out of fear of judgment or persecution, Miller said

"It's impossible for some of these Amerasians to know who their dad are," Miller said. "That's how I come up with the idea and said, 'how about we give them a DNA test?' The DNA test will not lie

DNA evidence between an Amerasian and their father, and even their half sibling, is the gold standard," John Aloia, consular section chief of the U.S

Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City, said. "That's proof positive, and that eliminates any misunderstanding or that this child is theirs or not theirs

When organizing his nonprofit, Miller contacted Family Tree DNA, a Texas-based genetic testing company

The partnership with Family Tree DNA has allowed Miller to purchase the kits at a lower price compared to the roughly $300 a kit normally costs

Miller thinks the group is close to testing every Amerasian left in Vietnam. The process has taken nearly five years and has stretched from Hue in Central Vietnam to the southern city of Ca Mau

Since 2013, Miller has helped 15 families reconnect. "Every time I see a family connect, I feel the same

I am so happy for them, like finding my own family, my own dad," said Miller. "Every time I see them I think of my dad
