Cal Fire & Google California Fires update .
A number of fires are growing in the state of California.
While the Beverly Hills fire is more contained now than it was last night, that fire and others still pose a potential threat.
Here is a list, with maps, of the larger fires that are around the state, their current containment levels, and where they are located.
Read on for more details.
General Maps of California Fires.
The first map is an interactive map of some of the bigger fires in California right now, provided by CAL FIRE and Google.
Fires in red are active and fires in black are contained.
The map above lists six active fires, which this article will describe in more detail in the next section.
They include the Grape Fire, the Chrome Fire, the Beaver Fire, the Portola Fire in Beverly Hills, the Euclid Fire, and the Santiago Fire.
Next is another map of the California fires, created by Gmap4 and courtesy of MappingSupport.com.
You can see the map below or find it here. The interactive map can be manipulated to view other fires in the country too.
You can also view the map from a topographical perspective, also courtesy of G4 and MappingSupport.

List of Active Fires in California as of June 13.
Here is a list of the biggest active fires in California as of June 13.
Grape Fire.
This 244-acre fire is 60 percent contained.
It began on April 24 and the cause is unknown.
It's located 10 miles northwest of Hyampom and is currently in patrol status.
The fire is at Black Bennet Road near Grape Creek, eight miles southwest of Burnt Ranch in Humboldt County.
Chrome Fire.
The Chrome Fire, located off Highway 162 and Forest Highway 7 north of Elk Creek in Glenn County is 80 percent contained and 2,290 acres, per Cal Fire.
Beaver Fire.
The Beaver Fire in San Benito County is 215 acres and 40 percent contained.
It's located near Coalinga Highway and Airline Highway east of King City.
Forward spread has been stopped, according to CAL FIRE.
Euclid Fire / Chino Fire.
The Euclid Fire in Chino (Riverside County) is 120 acres and 15 percent contained at this time.
It is a wildland fire located at Highway 71 south of Euclid Avenue.
There are currently no structure threats or evacuations as of the time of publication.
Forward spread of the fire has stopped.
About 600 firefighters are responding, along with two helicopters and eight fire crews.
Northbound Highway 71 was reopened.
Santiago Fire.
The Santiago fire is 155 acres and 80 percent contained, with the forward spread stopped.
It's off Highway 241 and Santiago Canyon Road in Orange County, per Cal Fire.
Portola Fire in Beverly Hills.
The Portola Fire is off Westwanda Drive and Benedict Canyon Drive. This fire remains at about 35 to 40 acres in size and is now at 40 percent containment, so progress has been made since Tuesday night.
Evacuations were lifted on Tuesday night, but the affected streets are open only to residents.
The following streets are open to residents only: Mulholland Dr from Beverly Glen to Deep Canyon Dr; Benedict Canyon Drive from Mulholland Dr down to the Beverly Hills border.
(Note: as of Wednesday morning, Mulholland Drive between Beverly Glen and Deep Canyon was closed to all traffic due to command post activity.).
The brush fire in Beverly Hills was originally reported at 1:57 p.m.
on Tuesday in the 9800 block of West Portola Drive in the Beverly Crest area.
Although the fire was smaller in size, its location prompted the evacuation of nearby homes.
The fire was threatening homes in Portola and Yoakum Drive, NBC reported, and was burning uphill toward Benedict Canyon Drive.
An evacuation center was set up at Westwood Recreation Center.
This fire is also being referred to as the Benedict Canyon fire.
To stay updated on evacuations for this fire, follow @ReadyLA or @LAFD.
Firefighters said that a weed whacker likely started the fire.
It was used by a contractor in the backyard of a residence in the 9800 block of Portola Drive and likely started the flames, officials said.
Two firefighters may have been injured.
Additional Fires.
It looks like the Coronado Fire from yesterday may be mostly contained, as we can't find many updates on the Santa Paula fire.
The DeLuz Fire in San Diego is also 75 percent contained.
According to the California Fire Map, the following fires are now contained:.
South Fire: An LA county fire that grew to 175 acres off I-5 and Calgrove Blvd.
in Santa Clarita.
Apple Fire: Now 100 percent contained, this was in Tehama County and grew to 2,956 acres.
Eastern Fire: This fire in San Benito County grew to 513 acres and is now 100 percent contained.
Airline Fire: This fire in San Benito County grew to 1,314 acres and is now 100 percent contained.
Stone Fire: This fire in Los Angeles County grew to 1,352 acres and is now 100 percent contained.
Liberty Fire: This fire was quickly put out at 62 acres in size in San Joaquin County.
To stay updated on current fire statuses, follow @Cal_Fire.
This is a developing story.

Just In: California Just Passed Measure Awarding Federal Money To Illegals, Benefits Shock - Duration: 6:40.
My own home state of California isn't even trying to hide its lunacy anymore.
We all already know very well that California seems to have a fetish for disobeying the
federal, and even state, constitutions in the name of social justice and to get more
Democrat voters.
But now they have taken it a step further.
Illegal immigrants are not only a danger to society since we don't know who they are,
but they are also a huge drain on the American taxpayer.
And now the former Golden State wants to make the drain even worse by mandating that American
citizens fund Medicaid programs to include Illegal aliens from the moment they step on
American soil.
This is a move that will mean that while citizens like you and me have to work our butts off
each and every day to be able to provide health care for our families, all foreign nationals
have to do is take a stroll across the U.S. Mexico border and they get it all for free.
The ludicrous measure was passed in the extreme far left California General Assembly.
AB-2965 gives "illegal immigrants access to full-cost healthcare."
This was predominantly supported by Democrats in a 33-21 vote on Wednesday of last week.
Here is more information on this bill via The Conservative Daily Post:
"Many California policies are deliberate Constitution violations as illegal immigrants
are welcomed in the same way that American citizens are.
This not only endangers national security, but is also highly disrespectful to taxpayers
given that they are essentially funding illegal immigrants' lifestyles after they cross
the border.
In the most recent horrendous California legislation passage, the state mandated that it will now
fund its Medicaid program to include illegal immigrants.
This will now mean that while American citizens work hard to obtain healthcare benefits, illegals
will automatically be granted such.
The outrageous measure passed in the California General Assembly, AB-2965, gives "illegal
immigrants access to full-cost healthcare."
Unsurprisingly, this was predominantly supported by Democrats in a 33-21 vote on Wednesday.
While former President Obama ensured that the average worker would be fined for not
having healthcare coverage, liberals continuing his unpatriotic legacy are disgustingly proposing
that those in the United States illegally will be granted such protections automatically.
This will obviously be economically taxing on the state and will cost it an estimated
$3 billion every year that the program continues.
The only thing stopping this from coming to pass would be if the bill is stopped in the
state Senate, again, an unlikely possibility considering the liberal lean of the state's
politicians.
While this robs the average taxpayer to benefit those who have in no way contributed to society,
liberals who support the bill have noted that they do not fear that illegals will take advantage
of the system.
That is a ridiculous anticipation considering that they already do exactly that in seeking
emergency care and "health care at community clinics."
Of course, there is a moral obligation to help someone who is seriously injured or in
need; however, it is not Americans' responsibility to fund preventative care.
Yet it soon will be in California, a sanctuary state, which will now take care of illegals
above its own people, further encouraging illegal immigration from Mexico.
This will also encourage immigrants currently residing in other states to move to California
where their healthcare needs will be met.
While it is only common sense to expect this, some Democrats in the state will defend such
ideas in their continuing apparent desire to help non-citizens.
Thankfully, there are some who understand the importance of limiting immigrants' rights.
Health policy and economics professor from the University of Southern California Joel
Hay rightfully opposed the state's need to continue to protect illegals, saying that
the ModernHealthCare.com organization "hasn't seen evidence" that illegals need any additional
protections.
It should not require an official organization to determine this, yet it may be the only
one that was willing to "question whether the law was necessary."
However, necessity is apparently questionable under liberal logic considering that back
in April, a judge unsurprisingly appointed by Obama mandated that pregnant illegal immigrants
in U.S. custody may remain in the country to have abortions.
While many immigrants come to the United States to escape other oppressed societies, the way
that liberals appear to be welcoming them undermines actual necessity and instead implies
that America is a socialistic society which will assist anyone in need, regardless of
urgency.
However, such protections are not extended to law-abiding citizens while "the proposal
would eliminate legal residency requirements in California's Medicaid program, known
as Medi-Cal."
Prior to the recent amendment, illegal immigrants under the age of 19 were entitled to American
healthcare benefits, but the recent allowance now extends this to adults who should be held
responsible for obtaining their own healthcare.
Of course, in siding with illegals, the California Immigrant Policy Center Deputy Director of
Programs and Counsel, Almas Sayeed, defended such rights on the basis that mandated emergency
care previously provided is "not the same as having a general practitioner" and that
providing healthcare to immigrants "would be a systematic way to keep communities healthy."
This is admittedly true not only for illegals but also for American citizens who cannot
afford to provide their own healthcare.
They too would be admitted under emergency circumstances but would, of course, benefit
from receiving preventative care.
This outrageous new provision shows that California has an unexplainable desire to help foreigners
above its own residents.
This can be said to be a state-wide problem; however, the way that it is implemented promotes
socialism on a national level.
Healthcare is in no way universal in the United States, unless, of course, one is in the country
unlawfully."
When I sit and look at what Democrat rule has done to my home state of California it
just breaks my heart.
Unless you are a high paid Silicon Valley leftist fascist you can't afford to live
here anymore.
But if you are poor, or an illegal here you will be ok.
The state is being overrun by illegal immigrant gang crime from ruthless gangs such as MS-13
but lawmakers are ok with it since they don't have to live in the areas that are affected
by these downright treasonous legislations.

Political Earthquake Rocks California, 2nd Biggest City Comes Out To Support Trump - Duration: 12:30.
Political Earthquake Rocks California, 2nd Biggest City Comes Out To Support Trump
In a state known around the world for its progressive leanings, it's sometimes easy
to forget that conservatives do, in fact, still exist in California.
Many conservatives understandably stay in the closet for fear of being demonized by
rabid liberal lunatics, but every once in a while these patriots venture out to cast
their votes for Republicans in the privacy and safety of the voting booth.
In February of 2014, conservative residents of San Diego were able to turn out in numbers
large enough to elect Republican Kevin Faulconer, making San Diego the largest city in the United
States with a Republican mayor.
Faulconer's conservative influence has trickled down to the San Diego County Board of Supervisors,
who currently hold a remarkable 4-1 majority in a Sanctuary City.
But the city's status as a haven for illegal immigrants may be in jeopardy now that the
Democratic stranglehold is slipping away.
From San Diego Union-Tribune:
The San Diego County Board of Supervisors voted 3-1 to support the Trump administration's
lawsuit against California over laws that the state passed last year to limit its role
in immigration enforcement.
The county will file an amicus brief at the first available opportunity, likely if and
when the case moves to a higher court on appeal, said Kristin Gaspar, supervisor for the county
district stretching from Miramar to Encinitas and Escondido and chairwoman of the board.
Dianne Jacob, who voted in favor of supporting Trump's lawsuit, said that national security
was at stake.
"We're talking about people who are crossing the border illegally, coming into this county
and committing a crime and them being let loose probably to commit another crime.
That creates a public safety issue and creates a problem in our neighborhoods."
Kristin Gaspar echoed her colleague's statements, saying that San Diego was much safer before
it stopped police from being able to do their jobs and detain illegal immigrants.
During the debate over the vote, she showed those in attendance two stacks of emails she'd
received from people in the community.
One stack was from people blasting her for supporting the president's lawsuit.
Another stack was from people who praised her for wanting to keep San Diego safer.
The praise emails were over a foot thick, while the critical emails were barely thicker
than a legal pad, proving once again that there are more conservatives in California
than people will give the state credit for.
Many of those conservatives decided to finally come out in public to announce their support
for the lawsuit during the vote.
One citizen named Cyrus Hojjaty, whose parents immigrated to America legally from Iran, called
California's immigration policies, "embarrassing" and "disgusting."
When Middle Eastern immigrants are siding with conservatives, you know that something
extraordinary
is
happening
in California.

Proposal to split Calif. into 3 states on ballot - Duration: 0:55.
Some California residents are trying to split up the state — again.
The proposal to divide California into three states was approved to go on the November
ballot Tuesday after it got enough signatures.
A website for the Cal 3 campaign says it would split the state into California, Northern
California and Southern California.
The Golden State's population would be divided almost equally among the three new states.
The campaign says that the creation of the separate states would lead to a stronger education
system, safer roads and infrastructure, and lower taxes.
This definitely isn't a new thing.
There have been previous attempts to turn California into six smaller states and even
separate from the U.S.
If Cal 3 passes in November, it would be the first existing U.S. state to split since West
Virginia was officially recognized by the government in 1863.
Based on previous movements, though, it's likely a long shot.

BREAKING: It's Official!
California Has Done It, Will Happen In November!
California has managed to outdo itself yet again, choosing to honor the needs of their
illegal alien population over that of their American taxpaying citizenry.
California's General Assembly has just passed a bill making them the first state to extend
Medicaid coverage to immigrants, regardless of immigration status.
The bill is known as AB 2965 and it will eliminate the legal residency requirements currently
present in California's Medicaid program known as Medi-Cal.
It passed the Democratic-controlled Assembly 33-21.
The state has already done away with residency requirements for individuals younger than
the age of 19.
the Democratic-controlled Assembly 33-21
According to California's Legislative Analyst's Office, offering this level of full cost coverage
to these individuals would cost California taxpayers approximately $3 billion for JUST
the 2018-2019 fiscal year.
The bill is set to be presented to the state Senate and they are expected to pass the proposal
and present to Governor Jerry Brown for signature.
Proponents of the bill state their support due to inconsistent access to care for illegal
aliens and a significant reliance on walk-in or community clinics and emergency rooms.
Almas Sayeed is the deputy director of programs and counsel for the California Immigrant Policy
Center and she states – "That's not the same as having a general practitioner
or internist you see regularly.
This would be a systematic way to keep communities healthy."
Opponents of the bill question why illegal aliens should receive such benefits at taxpayer
expense and if illegal individuals will flock to California in order to take advantage of
such a benefit.
They also wonder just how long the state can bear such a significant financial burden without
federal subsidy.
Opponents of the bill have questioned the necessity of the bill, believing that this
is simply a political maneuver on the part of liberal, open borders politicians in California.
They have even suggested that this may be a purposeful overloading of the system in
an effort to force universal state-run healthcare much like what is found currently in the United
Kingdom and other parts of Europe.
A place where medical care is rationed out to the elite and very wealthy first and the
weak, handicapped, and elderly are weeded out as "unnecessary."
Twenty-three-month-old Alfie Evans of Merseyside, England suffered under this sort of "care"
as did his family.
Former Senator Ron Paul, himself a physician, raged at a system that would justify such
horror as Baby Alfie and his family were subjected to.
Paul states – "While the official cause of death was a degenerative brain disease,
Alfie may have been murdered by the British health system and the British high court.
Doctors at the hospital treating Alfie decided to remove his life support, against the wishes
of Alfie's parents.
The high court not only upheld the doctors' authority to override the parents' wishes,
it refused to allow the parents to take Alfie abroad for treatment.
In upholding the government's authority to substitute its judgment for that of Alfie's
parents, the high court is following in the footsteps of authoritarians throughout history.
Ever since Plato, supporters of big government have sought to put government in charge of
raising children.
The authoritarianism of a system where "experts" can override parents is underscored by a police
warning that they were "monitoring" social media posts regarding Alfie.
Alfie's case is not just an example of the dangers of allowing government to usurp parental
authority or the failures of socialized medicine. It shows the logical result of the widespread
acceptance of the idea that rights are mere privileges bestowed by government.
It follows from this idea that rights can be taken away whenever demanded by government
officials or the popular will.
Of course, most western politicians deny they believe rights come from government.
They instead claim that government must place "reasonable" limits on rights to advance
important policy goals, such as limiting the right to free speech to protect certain groups
from hate speech, or limiting property rights to promote economic equality.
But, a right by its very nature cannot be limited or abolished and still be a right.
This disdain for a true understanding of rights is found among both liberals and conservatives.
Both support a welfare-warfare state-funded via the theft of income taxes and the indirect
theft of inflation.
Both support jailing people for nonviolent actions like drinking raw milk.
Many politicians, regardless of ideology, support restrictions on parental rights such
as mandatory vaccination laws.
While claiming to support the right to life, most modern liberals not only support legalized
abortion, they want to force pro-lifers to fund abortion providers."
Adding to that issue, earlier this year Steve Westly, former California controller and Calpers
board member – manager of the largest public pension fund in the US, made a stunning admission.
Westly revealed that $350 billion California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS)
is nearly insolvent making either reform or bailout necessary in the very near future.
The situation recently came to light when the $350 billion California Public Employees
Retirement System (CalPERS) made a "relatively small change" in its amortization policy.
Specifically, the CalPERS board voted to change the period for recouping future investment
losses from 30 years to 20 years.
While on paper this may not sound like much, in reality this would force the California
state government along with thousands of local governments and school districts to significantly
increase their mandatory contributions to the massive trust fund in an effort to keep
it solvent and funded.
Many California cities are already complaining of double-digit increases in CalPERS payments
are driving municipal budgets to insolvency and there will be no bailout because America's
largest public pension fund itself is on the brink.
The CalPERS system was once more than 100% funded, yet now has scarcely two-thirds of
what it would need to fully cover all of the pension promises to current and future retirees,
under the assumption that investment earnings target a minimum of 7% per year.
The problem is many believe this is entirely too optimistic.
Over the past decade, approximately five million people have moved away from California.
One does not have to look far to wonder why.
This combined with crumbling infrastructure, a massive tax burden for residents boasting
the highest income tax in the entire nation, and earthquakes, annual wildfires, rampant
homelessness, and a fleeing taxpaying populace amongst other significant issues, and California
just continues to add fuel to the fire to hasten the eventual collapse.
