hi everyone and welcome to my channel so today I have my first Q&A video on my
channel I asked you guys over on Twitter and Instagram
if you guys don't follow me I will link this on the screen and now please go
ahead and follow me I post lots of nice pictures on Instagram and I do post and
quite a bit on insta stories if you want to know what I'm getting up to when I'm
not doing videos and then go and join me on Instagram but yeah I asked all of you
what you would like to know to ask them questions and you guys did and I'm gonna
go through all of them so without further ado let's get started because
there's quite a few to get through but before that don't forget to hit the
subscribe button I played it twice a week and I would love to have you back
on my channel
okay so we're gonna jump straight into this I'm gonna go through all the
questions you guys ask me some more repeaters I'm gonna try and Club it all
into one and just answer it once but for the most part I'll be in sitting down
below the questions so you guys can see it so we're gonna get started and the
first one was have you ever had a Brazilian Blowout or keratin
straightening and if not would you consider it so I haven't ever had a
Brazilian Blowout or straightening done to my hair just because when that sort
of started getting into fashion I felt like it was quite damaging like so many
chemicals on your hair and I was never too keen on putting so many chemicals on
my hair and to be honest like I know my straight new routine is quite long but I
feel like it gives me a lot more volume because if you guys haven't seen at my
blur routine I will link the video on the screen now so you guys can have a
watch but basically what I do is I first blow it out with a blow dryer then I put
on some rollers to give it a lot of lift and volume on the top and then I
straighten my hair and I feel like even if I had the Brazilian blur it can end
up looking pretty flat I've had friends who've had it done and it can look
really kind of polka straight and that's not the kind of look I go for so that's
why I've never had it done till now but I do have to say that I saw a Lydia
Ellie's Miller I will link her down below she
goes to the same salon that ID Michael John and I saw that she got a treatment
done by the lovely Dane which was a Cara Plex treatment so it's a mix between
keratin which is supposed to kind of be really nourishing for your hair and
really good at making your hair stronger and shinier together with a sort of
olaplex treatment which again is kind of a rebonding treatment which is great for
color-treated hair and my hair is obviously bleached because I've had a
balayage done so um this treatment seemed amazing and I spoke to Jane about
it when I was in the salon to get my blow-dry done yesterday and actually he
said that basically what it is is that it doesn't leave your hair poke astray
it would sort of relax a little bit but you can kind of regulate that and it
would leave my hair looking as if my hair was naturally straight so probably
I would be able to skip the step of blowing it out with a round brush and I
will just be able to kind of blow dry it normally with a blow dryer or just like
kind of let it air dry and put on the rollers to give it left and then
straighten it if I wanted super sleek and smooth but I've seen how it looks on
Lydia's hat and it looks amazing so I am considering getting that done probably
for the summer what I'm going to go away to the beach or on holiday or something
just because it is quite a pain you know when you're on holiday and you kind of
wetting your hair everyday to have to blow-dry it and straightening I hate how
it looks if I don't do anything to it especially now that it's colored my hair
is naturally pretty curly but now that it's kind of colored it just kind of
looks pretty and horrible so yeah a very long-winded answer but yeah I am
considering it or though it would be that particular Cara Plex treatment okay
the next question is from somebody who asks three questions and it's what is
your job outside YouTube so I used to work in investment banking before but
now my job outside YouTube is a consultancy sort of job I would say I
work as a independent consultant for social media and marketing for
independent clients and I work from home the next question is do you have any
kids or plan on having any I don't have any kids just as of now but we are
planning hopefully soon to have a maybe but it's just like life is really
busy at the moment so we're trying to kind of slow it down a little bit before
we decide to have any kids and her final question was what are your favorite nude
lipsticks so I have to say my favorite nude
well nudes is probably the thing I'm a swear as you guys probably know but my
favorite one would have to be blush nude from Tom Ford if I want to morph a g1
and something that's not exactly a nude but it is sort of in that family would
be NAS Anita which is like a sort of more movie pinky tone but if it's a pure
pure nude it would have to be blush nude from Tom Bowen okay so the next question
is um do you know Hindi I do speak Hindi it's not perfect I basically grew up
speaking Cindy which is where my family is from in India so I can speak Spanish
English and Cindy since I'm really really young I can't write it there and
I literally learnt Hindi just watching Bollywood movies because I love them and
Cindy and Hindi if you are wondering and nothing alike each other so yeah but I
did improve my Hindi when I met my husband just because we do you go quite
a bit to India and meeting his family and speaking to him my Hindi has
improved but I would say it's far from perfect I understand it 100% but I do
make quite a few grammatical mistakes um the next question from fiona is what's
your favorite luxury brand for shoes and bags so I would have to say that my
favourite luxury brand for bags is Dior and my favourite luxury brand for shoes
used to be dirt but I have to say now it's probably at kozara
I really like their shoes cuz not any other really beautiful I love their
designs and I love everything like the heels their flats but they're also very
very comfortable that the first heels I've actually found I can actually walk
in for more than like just 10 minutes so I absolutely love them the next question
is from Annie rose and she basically wrote quite a long message to me but it
was said I am your lipstick collection so thank you very much
the red one you walk for the Madrid Hall was spectacular by the way if you guys
don't know what I'm told I'll link that video here because
there's a tutorial on that look and I absolutely love that lipstick it's from
Maybelline it's a color Lani um so basically she asked me that she was
eyeing up a dress a shirtdress from Rita Kumar which is a Indian designer but
she's lost in ways to style it and she said it's a little bit on the shorter
side and she would want to wear it to church so she wants ideas on how she
could style it and you know still make it appropriate and a bit more of a
modest way so I would say um you know shout dresses are fantastic and if you
want to dress it up more modestly and you want to wear for example to go to
church I would say you could definitely pair it with trouser I'm gonna be doing
a video all about styling strap dresses so stay tuned for that but in the
meantime I just thought I'd give you a few ideas you can definitely leave your
sharp dresser open if it does have like a sash or about I would say remove that
but you can leave it open and underneath you can wear like a camisole or a sort
of t-shirt I would say a camisole or a blouse II kind of look would look better
if you're kind of dressing it up a little bit formally and underneath you
could wear either kind of trousers or jeans and you could wear it more of sort
of like a like a jacket slash sort of trench coat something like that I think
that look looks really really cool and it would definitely make it appropriate
you know if you want to cover your legs because the dress is a love a shorter
okay um the next question is from Selena and it was basically not a question for
this video but I had an answer is so I thought I would kind of stick it into
this one as well and she asked about concealer she said she was trying to use
concealer to cover up dark circles she was doing it with foundation and it
wasn't really cutting it for her so my suggestion would be to use something
that is pretty full coverage I loved the taut one it doesn't look cakey but it's
really full coverage and it's a liquid concealer so it's pretty easy to blend
and I would say just dot it on the areas where you have the darkness so it would
sit around here probably either on top of foundation or just on top of
moisturizer it depends on how much coverage you want to the rest of your
face and then I would say avoid using a sponge or a brush just literally blend
it in with your finger like keep tapping on it don't drag it just tap on it and
keep tapping until it's fully blended and just you know blend it around
the edges as well just so that it kind of looks seamless with the rest of your
skin and that should do the job for you so I hope that helps
okay so the next question is from I think Priya is her name
she was asking me about you know hi get ready for the day and how do I kind of
go on about my day and how I get ready for it so um I would say I've done a
makeup routine a daily makeup routine on the channel so I will link that video so
that you can go ahead and watch it and I learn a lot of people you know sad that
it seemed like a really really long makeup routine to do everyday and a lot
of products but to be fair because I work from home I don't wear makeup on a
daily basis I only wear makeup if I'm going for a meeting or if I'm gonna be
it going out and meeting friends or doing something like that then I would
wear makeup but to sit at home and work I don't wear any makeup and if I'm just
kind of running errands in terms of try to no going to the dry cleaners or
grocery shopping I literally go barefaced zero makeup so I don't want
makeup on a daily basis but when I did work in an office and that was sort of
the routine I did everyday I didn't wash my hair every day because I only wash it
kind of twice a week and I do my long wouldn't've blowout or I go to the salon
to get a blowout so literally what I do is just kind of straight to blow up my
French to straighten it and a daily basis and then a little bit of
backcombing and teasing my hair here at the crowd just to give it a bit of lift
and volume if it's a feeling a little bit dirty I'll apply a little bit of dry
shampoo and yeah and then I'm pretty quick at picking up my outfits because I
don't really that's not something I spend a lot of time on my clothes are
kind of very neutral so if you're like most things pair up very nicely one with
another so and that is something that I'm usually pretty quick at at first I
decided my clothes that my shoes and then I just go on about my day if you
want to know a bit more of a daily routine I have done some daily vlogs I
will link that was on the screen babe you have any specific questions do let
me know in the comments below and I can answer them in another video but usually
what I do on a regular basis is in the morning I literally just do my skincare
routine there's a video on that as well and have my breakfast and just get down
to work and then probably at around 1 ish I'll stop and
take a shower and I find a most productive you know as soon as I get up
there I just start to work so that's why I don't like to waste time in the
mornings doing other stuff but then I sort of wonder I'll stop I'll take a
shower I will clean my house tidy it out for about an hour an hour and a half
have my lunch and then I'll continue working and I usually work quite late I
wake up at around sort of 7:30 in the morning and I usually work for about 9
o'clock which is when my husband comes back relax ok the next question is from
SZ bar I'm not quite sure how to say that sorry if I'm not at your name right
but she said current or all-time favorite perfumes she would like to see
a separate video on fragrances thanks for the suggestion and she said I love
how honest and true your channel is thank you very much so basically my
favorite fragrance I would have to say is probably be Coco Chanel one although
I have to say that's been my long-term favorite fragrance um but I have to say
that right now actually my favorite fragrance is the Portofino from Tom Ford
from there like there's limited edition once they have the ones in a low blue
bottle I love that fragrance it smells amazing it's so fresh rose that is the
envy like very floral scent I tend to go more for kind of very fresh citrusy
sounds and I like something that can be usually quite unisex I don't like very
girly sounds either or something that's kind of very heavy I like kind of very
fresh scent I'm not very good at describing fragrances which is why I've
not done a video before but some of my favorite ones apart from that one which
is really pricey um it would be the Coco Chanel I also really like the ones by
Armani I used to have the I think it was the Armani night I don't know if that's
the name anymore I don't even know they do anymore but if I do I will link it
down below but that one was amazing and I used that one for years I used to use
it daytime and nighttime again it was quite a kind of heavy Sun but not kind
of in a fruity sweet sort of way and then I also really like the fragrance by
Chloe I think it's called sea by Chloe and
the Bulgari fragrances are also amazing smile were you any good next question is
from Gemma and she's saying who are you style and beauty icons I would have to
say in terms of like any other everyone says like their mum and definitely my
mum has influenced my son she was probably my first beauty icon and I know
it sounds very cliche but she probably was my mom is always very
well-put-together and very ready and I think she definitely passed that on to
me although I failed to be as kind of poised and perfect looking as her every
day but yeah she definitely was probably my first beauty and style icon but if I
have to say somebody who's like you know celebrity I would definitely say Olivia
Palermo without the question I absolutely love her style she definitely
was the one who inspired me to kind of experiment a little bit more with
fashion I think she looks absolutely amazing I think she's so beautiful I
love her hair I'm in love with her hair I've always wanted to get a similar
hairstyle to her and as you can see my hair style is probably quite similar but
yeah I really like resync I feel like she's gone very sort of edgy and that's
sort of not so me but her more classic looks I really really love and if I had
to go for like an old style icon I would definitely definitely say Audrey Hepburn
I think she was amazing so beautiful so poised so dainty I thought she was
definitely an amazing looking lady and yeah I just thought she always looked
very put together and I really like that about her next question is from Priya
again and is what is your favorite night repair serum and day serum so my
favorite day serum would have to be the ones from Clarins I think it's called
the V facial shape serum I've spoken about this one in my daily skincare
routine and I absolutely love this one it's a deep puffing serum and it works
so well just because my face can get quite puffy around here and it retains a
lot of liquid and this one definitely helps to drain all that liquid out and
it just kind of D puffs all areas of your face so I love using in the morning
I feel like it makes me look a lot fresher and for evening I would have to
say that the advanced Night Repair Serum is really good I've been using that for
a long time but I have to say because my skin is sort of acne prone I can't use
it all the time because it is quite rich on the skin but I really loved the
Clarins face oil which some people I know use as a serum I use it more of as
a moisturizer but that one is amazing the Blue Orchid Clarence oil I feel like
it really balances my skin out if it's breaking out it sort of helps at the
breakouts and if it's dry and dehydrated it helps with the flakiness so it's
absolutely amazing for all skin types especially if you have dehydrated skin
okay so the next question is from coffee tea Coco and she asked where do you get
your style ideas and how are you liking the length of your hair so I say my
styling ideas are sort of inspired by a lot of different things by just people I
see every day out and about on the street that I like their style by
definitely by Olivia Palermo vice I like and I follow her actively on like social
media and on magazines I also love to read like magazines
especially when I like the Sun and I love to kind of browse through them and
that gives me ideas and then obviously I follow a lot of fashion bloggers that
some of my favorites are chriselle lim and in the fro Victoria is amazing and I
would look this down below they have YouTube channels as well and they're
absolutely amazing and yeah I actually follow them on social media and you know
they definitely inspire me and give me ideas and then I also follow some
accounts which do kind of a variety of vloggers and they post outfit ideas and
yeah I definitely say I would get inspired by those as well although I
always feel like even though I can get inspiration from a lot of different
places I always adapt things to fit my own style the next question is from
Priya and she asks how did you find the courage to leave a well-paid job to
follow your passion and do you have any regrets so actually this was all a bit
by chance when I was working in banking and Stephanie's stable job well-paid but
we decided to have a big Indian wedding and we decided to have it in Spain which
is where I'm originally from and I wanted to spend a bit of time with
family I actually left home when I was 18 I moved here to the UK and I really
wanted to spend a bit more time with my family before I got married and you know
I was you know away from my family in London
so I really wanted to spend a good quality year with my family and so I
decided to quit my job at that point and take a bit of a break I've never taken a
sabbatical I never took any time off between kind of uni and work or between
work and uni I'd never taken any time off so I've said to be a bit of a
sabbatical it wasn't a whole year always ever think about nine months and I moved
back to Spain and I it was also very difficult to plan this like really big
wedding in Spain with my in-laws in India my parents in Spain I had a very
limited number of holidays and my job when I was in banking was a very
stressful job which demanded a lot of hours it was you know long days and few
holidays so it was just very difficult to kind of match it up with like
organizing this big wedding and doing lots of trips to India for shopping for
outfits and so on we had a four-day wedding so it was quite a lot to prepare
so I decided to take some time off and enjoy the time with my family moved back
and then when I came back I kind of had the option to go back to my job but
because that actually paused the idea of a blog and a YouTube channel I had
always been at the back of my mind and I done kind of a bit of like social media
work and marketing when I was in the bank that was kind of part of my role
there because I worked in HR and yeah my husband was like you know why don't you
take this opportunity you know try it out there's nothing to lose you can
always go back to your old job if you hate it so I decided at that point to
you know to start this kind of freelance consulting company and then I also
decided to start the blog and the YouTube channel and yeah I really liked
it it was I have to say definitely at the beginning it was lonely because you
know this is long days working by yourself most of the time so I did say I
missed my colleagues at the very beginning but now I've sort of gotten
used to it and although I do miss working in an office and having
colleagues sometimes I've kind of fallen into a routine and I really enjoy it now
the second part of the question was do you have any regrets and I would say no
I don't I really enjoy what I'm doing right now and yeah I mean I think it
gives me so much more to be a bit more flexible with my time
so I think hopefully it should work well around a family when I decided to have
one so yeah no regrets okay another question I had was on YouTube actually
and it was about how to style an orange blazer from Hobbes so I would say um my
suggestion to style something like an orange a blazer which is something
that's definitely a pop of color very vibrant things a great come now that
spring is coming up but I would say you know what I would do if you are not a
person who usually wears a lot of color like I am NOT a person to wear a lot of
color is I would pair this up with neutrals I
think it would look amazing with like an all-white outfit like a dress or like a
white top and palazzo trousers I think it could look amazing if you want to
wear it for evening you can definitely style it with an all-black outfit as
well and I think it could also really work well with neutrals like for example
with a grey or a beige if you want to wear it to the office maybe like a pair
of like tapered trousers in a grey or a beige and a white top with the blaze
that could look really nice or even a white or cream blouse underneath and a
pair of jeans so I would say leave the rest of your outfit pretty neutral and
let the jacket be the focal point in that vibrant color okay a lot of you
asked me about nails so I've just plucked all the questions into one today
actually I have red nails which is a bit rare for me but usually I always have
nude nails and the reason why I don't talk about my nails that much is because
I always have the same color and I always do the same so I get my nails
done weekly at a song called Marcela's which is in High Street Kensington I
will link their details down below they're amazing they are a bunch of
South American ladies which do amazing nails they're so highly skilled and my
manicurist over the last ten years has been crossed so far which she's lovely
she knows me so well I'm really fussy about my nails and very particular about
the shape and my nails are actually really uneven like the white part of my
nails is really different on every single nail so it's very difficult to
make them all look the same because you need to measure them for them from the
back to make sure they're all the same length I'm very finicky about nails they
need to be exactly the same length and exactly the same shape so she totally
gets me knows I'm fussy but I just don't have to
say anything to her anymore she taking he knows what I want and for me that's
so relaxing just having together and put my hands and let her you know do her
thing she's really really good really meticulous I actually cut my cuticles
and I actually get a lot of cuticle growth but I like them very kind of neat
and tidy and my nails are quite small so I feel that if I don't cut the cuticles
they look even smaller so yeah that's what I get done every week I shaped them
in a square shape but I do round off the edges a little bit and the color I use
is Essie Couture because that's like their long-lasting range but it's really
good if you have sensitive nails mine dry out really quickly and this doesn't
dry them out at all and the color I use is lace me up so my favorite colors
other than that one is the Vinny Lux naked naïveté and they have that one in
shellac as well and I get you like done when I'm going away a holiday so that
they don't chip and another one is Essie ballet slippers in their normal polish
range that's not kind of gel polish and the question was a makeup products that
I cannot live without and I would have to say my most used makeup product would
be concealer that's the one product that you never have to take one on a desert
island that's the product I would take and I would have to say at the moment my
favorite is part but my clay do Perkins Sela is a long term a favorite um I
think that and contour would probably be my Qi favorite products I never had to
choose a side one mascara for contour I would say I would go with the cream
contour from Charlotte Tilbury the Hollywood contour wand and my third one
would be mascara and I think better than sex mascara would be my choice and if I
had to choose at all that would be the beauty blender
there's four products that I cannot live without another question I get asked a
lot is about my husband there's lots of questions about him who is he what does
he do so his name is Karen the reason why he's not on many of my blog that's
because he doesn't really being on camera all that much here he's
quite a private person and yet he just doesn't enjoy it very much so he kind of
stays away from this part of my life but you guys must have seen him in some of
my blogs he's lingering around the background sometimes so he works in
investment banking he's a trader and yeah we have been together for quite a
while now another question I get asked a lot is how tall are you and in a lot of
my fashion videos there's lots of questions about my dress size I'm a shoe
size and all that so you guys can style your stuff as well so I am 166
centimeters tall I think that's a 5 foot 6 I'm not 100% sure but I think that's
what it is I'm not very good with my feet and my inches
I'm usually a dress size extra small or a UK size 6 and my shoe size is a
European size of 37 and finally a lot of questions about my blog so I will be
doing a video all about it very very soon so yeah I hope you guys enjoy it
thank you guys so that was everything from me dear let me know in the comments
below if you have any more questions you can
Instagram me you can ask me down below and if there are enough I will do
another Q&A video I hope you enjoyed this one thank you so so much for
watching don't forget to subscribe and I will see you in my next one bye
