BREAKING News Out Of California…

It's HORRIBLE California's top utility regulator has suggested

charging people that live in rural areas more money for electricity than city slickers since

they are at risk for power issues that cause wildfires.

Michael Picker, president of the California Public Utilities Commission, made the suggestion

during a Jan. 31 meeting on fire safety.

He questioned the fairness of all utility customers paying the costs of averting wildfires

in rural areas, FOX News reports.

"Should we actually start to charge deferentially for the use of the distribution system for

those sections that are in the high-fire-hazard zone and people who choose to live there?"

Picker asked, according to The San Francisco Chronicle.

"As we spend more to harden the grid and protect people in those high-risk areas, how

do we pay for it?" he asked.

"If you're in Richmond, do you want to be paying to protect vacation homes in Napa?"

Picker is obviously oblivious to how much money is spent on illegal aliens and people

on welfare- not to mention that I live in the mountains but my taxes go to pay for their

roads and all their bullshit.

Picker bitched about how much it costs to prevent fires in rural California.

Some of the measures require chopping down millions of trees, replacing wooden poles

with steel and burying the lines underground.

"Here we're facing costs for upgrading the grid that primarily benefits one group

of people," Picker said.

"I'm just trying to come up with ways to figure out how we do this fairly, but still

manage to serve people who live in these high-risk areas.

Because, no doubt, they need electricity."

Go to hell lib.

"It's a policy decision that's pretty firmly entrenched that the price should be

the same wherever you live," Mike Florio, who served on the California Public Utilities

Commission from 2011 through 2016, told the Chronicle.

Residents in rural areas also do end up paying more extra to utility companies for starting

the service, especially if the rural home is further away from existing power lines.

But the price of the electricity remains the same for all the people, even as utility companies

admit it is more expensive to provide services to someone living in rural areas.

Bullshit.

Any serious consideration to charge rural residents more than their urban counterparts

for electricity is sure to cause a political backlash.

Their representatives would surely object to the initiative.

Florio reminded that the unpopular fire-prevention fee levied on rural homeowners in the state

was suspended last year after California Gov. Jerry Brown tried to court the votes of lawmakers

from rural California in a bid to pass the state's greenhouse cap-and-trade system.

"The rural legislators made the price of their support getting rid of that fee,"

Florio said.

"And that was a modest attempt at making the user pay."

Meanwhile California is building a bullet train that leads to nowhere.

Cost climbs by $2.8 billion for California bullet train.

SACRAMENTO, Calif.

– Officials increased the cost estimate for the first phase of California's high

speed rail project by 35 percent on Tuesday, to $10.6 billion.

There's your money dude- now take you a-hole ideas and stick them where the sun don't

shine you filthy liberal pile of garbage.

I really need to get the hell out of Commiefornia.

God Bless America!

California Mayor Defies Trump, Tips Off Illegals Ahead Of Sting Operation - Duration: 5:34.

California Mayor Defies Trump, Tips Off Illegals Ahead Of Sting Operation

One of America's top priorities at this juncture in history is what to do about the

immigrants.

One side wants to open our arms and let the world flood in, hoping it will all come out

OK, and no terrorists will slip in.

The other side wants to deal not only with future immigrants but the illegals living

here now.

The potential political fall out would be far worse for the left because those illegals

were likely to be Democratic voters if they are ever legalized.

It's the thought of potential voters that makes the left constantly pander to the "dreamers"

who are here illegally.

Even though this is an element that has proven they're willing to break the law, and keep

on breaking it, somehow this is considered desirable by those whose career centers around

keeping their cushy political jobs.

The national security risks seem to be completely uninteresting to many, including Oakland California

Mayor Libby Schaaf.

Schaaf decided that she would attempt to circumvent national security and governmental law and

warn the illegals who follow her social media that Immigrations and Customs Enforcement

(ICE) was planning a raid in their area.

According to The Western Journal she tipped off immigrants, not only foiling ICE but causing

further issues between ICE and state officials:

"A California mayor's recent media release tipped off illegal immigrants of an upcoming

raid from the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency, further displaying the stark divide

between immigration officers and Golden State politicians.

Libby Schaaf, Democratic Mayor of Oakland, issued a media release effectively warning

illegal immigrants in the city of an impending raid from ICE.The warning, which Schaaf put

out around 9 p.m. on Feb. 24, warned illegal immigrants that the next raid would be 'starting

soon, as within the next 24 hours.'"As Freedom Daily previously reported, this is essentially

Mayor Schaaf actively helping what is presumably a large number of people break the law by

avoiding law enforcement, and she's doing it using taxpayer resources.

There are many times when an individual might think the government is misallocating funds,

but at least they're unified on the decision.

In this case, however, even if we completely ignore the national security risk that illegal

immigration poses, taxpayer dollars are being used to go round up the illegals, and taxpayer

funds are paying this mayors salary and for the resources, she's using to help illegals

evade arrest.

"The feds detained at least four people Sunday, a program manager for the San Francisco

Immigrant Legal Education Network told the San Francisco Examiner, although the paper

noted it was unclear if the detentions were related to any broader ICE operation.

Schaaf during a news conference on Sunday also said she told mayors of other Bay Area

cities of the impending ICE sweep, SFGate reported.

Her tweet on Saturday aligned with previous reports that law enforcement officials in

Northern California would not cooperate with ICE, and noted state law 'prohibits business

owners from assisting ICE agents in immigration enforcement and bars federal agents from accessing

employee-only areas.'

Local outlet KTVU reported that ICE agents had been in the Bay Area conducting business

audits to ensure local companies were hiring legal citizens.""

The Los Angeles Times pointed out that Oakland has declared itself a sanctuary city, which

is supposed to validate these types of actions

Schaaf further reinforced her allegiance to the illegals in her area with her message,

stating that her goal behind the tip was "not to panic our residents but to protect them,"

according to BizPac Review.

"In Oakland, OUSD public schools have strict protocols in place to protect our students

and families," she added, further solidifying her and the city's stance against the Trump

administration's call to deport illegal immigrants.

"Oakland police officers are prohibited from participating in ICE activities."

Many Twitter users voiced their opposition to Schaaf's warning."Schaaf, a Democrat

who is up for re-election this year, has been public in her dislike for the Trump administration,

even going as far to say she would go to jail over the sanctuary policy adopted by her city."

'It is no surprise that the bully in chief is continuing to try to intimidate our most

vulnerable residents,' she told KTVU in January 2017.

BizPac Review also revealed a 2016 tweet in which the Oakland mayor bashed President Donald

Trump.""While it is unknown how successful Schaaf's warning was, the San Francisco

Examiner recently reported that ICE officials captured four illegal immigrants on Sunday."

The question on people's minds now is; can a person effectively serve in public office,

if they can't be trusted with government information without using it to their own

benefit?

There's not gain here, except that she gains brownie points with the potential new voters.

There's been no secret made of the fact that the Democrats want the "dreamers"

to get legal status, which means they very well could sway the next election.

If this kind of pandering is how Schaaf want's to run her office, do you think she should

get to keep her job as Mayor?

Trump puts California on notice over border wall - Duration: 4:27.

Trump puts California on notice over border wall

President Trump put California on notice in a tweet on Wednesday that he wouldn't complete his much-promised wall on its border until the entire barrier was erected – even though the state's attorney general said the "medieval" structure has no place in the "21st century.

"I have decided that sections of the Wall that California wants built NOW will not be built until the whole Wall is approved," he tweeted.

"Big victory yesterday with ruling from the courts that allows us to proceed.

OUR COUNTRY MUST HAVE BORDER SECURITY!".

He referred to the Tuesday ruling by US District Judge Gonzalo Curiel, who he maligned as "biased" during the 2016 campaign for his Mexican heritage, that sided with the Department of Homeland Security in a legal challenge that paves the way for a section of the wall to be built on the California border.

But Trump's remarks about not building that portion of the barrier seems to play right into the hands of California Attorney General Xavier Becerra, who brought the suit against DHS and has pledged to continue to challenge the Trump administration over immigration issues and the wall.

"We will evaluate all of our options and are prepared to do what is necessary to protect our people, our values, and our economy from federal overreach," Becerra said on Tuesday.

"A medieval wall along the U.S.-Mexico border simply does not belong in the 21st century.".

Last week, the president said he was considering pulling Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents from California as punishment for its "lousy management job" of enforcing immigration laws.

"You know what, I'm thinking about doing it," Trump said during a meeting at the White House last Thursday.

"We're getting no help from the state of California.

Frankly, if I pulled our people from California, you would have a crime nest like you've never seen in California.

All I'd have to do is say 'ICE, Border Patrol, leave California alone.".

Trump lost the Golden State to Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election by 30 percentage points.

The tweets also show the president appears to have a newfound admiration for Curiel, whom he blasted as a "hater" during the campaign when the Indiana-born judge was presiding over a lawsuit against Trump University.

"I have a judge who is a hater of Donald Trump, a hater," Trump said.

"His name is Gonzalo Curiel and he is not doing the right thing.".

But Tuesday night, Trump was praising his "big legal win" after Curiel's decision.

"Big legal win today. U.S.

judge sided with the Trump Administration and rejected the attempt to stop the government from building a great Border Wall on the Southern Border.

Now this important project can go forward!," Trump wrote late Tuesday.
