Dark Souls 2 Network Test ► BRAND NEW Cut / Unused Spells! (Never Before Seen) - Duration: 12:41.
Hello everyone, this is Sanadsk and it's been quite a while since I uploaded about
unused content for the Souls Series, but today we are going back in time to before Dark Souls
2 was even released, and that is the Network Test of Dark Souls 2, which was held way back
in 2013.
One of the most notable changes in the game from that test was the icons of the spells.
Alot of people saw these icons for these spells, but no one knew what their names were and
we didn't even know what they did.
Well, after 6 years, here we are!
In this video, I am going to be showing you guys all of the spells in the network test,
which alot of these spells are actually unused and brand new spells that we have never seen
before which honestly shocked me on how cool they actually are.
Most of them are functional in the netweork test, while some of them are placeholders
but at least they have names and icons that correspond with them.
So before I begin showing the spells, I have
to thank DriftItem for his patch that actually allows us to play the Network Test using the
emulator on PC.
I also want to thank Lance for helping me with the patch, and of course Lokey for translating
the names of these spells.
So I will be leaving you with the footage, I hope you all enjoy this video as it is actually
very exciting to see that these spells were left unfound throughout all this time.
I will be showing the hexes, then miracles, then pyromancies then sorceries, so make sure
to watch until the end to see all of the old and unused spells, and I will be explaining
some things after that.

So as you saw, some of the spells made it into the final game, some others were added
into DLC, and others didn't make the cut sadly.
Also if you noticed, some of the pyromancies and miracles had the quote-on-quote "blue
magic" effect on them, and it seems like a sort of placeholder on these unused spells.
There were alot of green flame hex spells which look super cool in my opinion.
I will be continuing my search in DS2's network test files, so stay tuned for more
things in the future.
