North Korea has been demanding that the U.S. agree to a peace treaty... to formally end

the Korean war before it'll go ahead with talks on denuclearization.

But the U.S. insists that denuclearization has to come first.

The Trump administration is also warning businesses not to violate U.S. or U.N. Security Council

resolutions.

Park Hee-jun reports.

The United States has once again made it clear,... that there will be no peace treaty until North

Korea's complete denuclearization.

CNN, citing unnamed sources, reported that Pyongyang is unlikely to proceed further with

denuclearization talks,... unless Washington makes the "bold move" of agreeing to a peace

treaty with Pyongyang.

North Korea has been pushing for a formal end to the Korean War,... which would act

as a security guarantee for the Kim Jong-un regime.

But an official at the U.S. State Department told Yonhap News on Monday, local time,...

that although peace on the Korean Peninsula is a shared goal of the international community,...

it will not involve a nuclear-armed North Korea.

The official said the current armistice agreement will be replaced by a permanent peace treaty,...

only when North Korea denuclearizes for good.

The State Department, together with the Department of the Treasury and the Department of Homeland

Security,... has also issued a North Korea sanctions advisory and enforcement advisory

against foreign companies to protect them from violating U.S. or U.N. Security Council

sanctions.

It warns manufacturers, buyers, and service providers against sourcing goods, services,

or technology from North Korea,... or hiring North Korean laborers that would raise revenues

for the North Korean regime.

The advisory does not add any new sanctions against Pyongyang,... but reflects President

Donald Trump's vow to maintain maximum pressure against the regime until its nuclear disarmament

is complete.

It says that businesses found to be involved in such acts,... will be penalized by the

U.S. or U.N. sanctions authorities.

North Korea wants U.S. to make 'bold move' of establishing peace treaty: CNN - Duration: 1:37.

The future of North Korea's denuclearization could now hinge on the Trump administration's

willingness to establish a permanent peace treaty that will guarantee the security of

the Kim Jong-un regime.

CNN says this is what Pyongyang is calling for to continue talks with the U.S.

Kim Hyo-sun tells us more.

North Korea is reportedly insisting on signing peace treaty with the United States.

Citing unnamed sources, CNN says Pyongyang will not likely proceed further with denuclearization

talks if Washington is unwilling to make a (quote) "bold move" of replacing the armistice

agreement with a permanent peace treaty that will ensure the security of the Kim Jong-un

regime.

This can be interpreted as Pyongyang's willingness to establish a legally binding peace treaty,...

which requires the approval of two-thirds of the U.S. Senate.

The article also explains the North is pressuring the Trump administration to lift sanctions

against the regime,... believing they've been fulfilling their promises.

While the North says it has taken big steps by freezing its nuclear and missile testing,

destroying one of its nuclear sites and facilitating the upcoming repatriation of U.S. service

members' war remains,...

President Trump has reportedly expressed frustration over the lack of progress in denuclearization

talks with the regime.

Yet,...

President Trump has denied the report by the Washington Post on Monday that he's frustrated.

He slammed the report as fake news,... and tweeted he's (quote) "very happy" with the

pace of Pyongyang's denuclearization,... adding that all of Asia is happy as well.

Jeff Sessions Makes Trump Proud With Largest Healthcare Fraud Takedown U.S. History

President Trump said he would cut medical costs by fighting fraud and cracking down

on abuse.

Sure we have heard that before from many different politicians.

The difference?

Trump actually means what he says and he has cabinet members who follow through on his

wishes like Jeff Sessions just did.

From Reuters:

The U.S. Justice Department on Thursday announced charges against 601 people including doctors

for taking part in healthcare frauds that resulted in over $2 billion in losses and

contributed to the nation's opioid epidemic in some cases.

The arrests came as part of what the department said was the largest healthcare fraud takedown

in U.S. history and included 162 doctors and other suspects charged for their roles in

prescribing and distributing addictive opioid painkillers.

"Some of our most trusted medical professionals look at their patients – vulnerable people

suffering from addiction – and they see dollar signs," U.S. Attorney General Jeff

Sessions said.

Many of the criminal cases announced on Thursday involved charges against medical professionals

who authorities said had contributed to the country's opioid epidemic by participating

in the unlawful distribution of prescription painkillers.

The cases included charges in Texas against a pharmacy chain owner and two other people

accused of using fraudulent prescriptions to fill bulk orders for over 1 million hydrocodone

and oxycodone pills that were sold to drug couriers.

"The perpetrators really are despicable and greedy people," U.S. Health and Human

Services Secretary Alex Azar said at a press conference.

Trump Just Threatened to Level Them: 'NEVER, EVER THREATEN THE UNITED STATES AGAIN' - Duration: 4:04.

Trump Just Threatened to Level Them: 'NEVER, EVER THREATEN THE UNITED STATES AGAIN'

President Donald Trump stepped up and lashed out a warning reminding them not to ever mess

with the United States of America or threaten this country ever again.

The verbal warning was handed out via Twitter for everyone to see and was directed towards

Iran.

This comes briefly after the Iranian President, Hassan Rouhani, tried to caution Trump about

going after what was labeled as hostile policies against Tehran.

Rouhani mentioned that "war with Iran is the mother of all wars" but apparently he

doesn't know that Trump has the Mother of all Bombs!

The issue appears to be Iran not happy about being pressured into possible sanctions after

the United States pulled out from their 2015 deal over Iran's nuclear program.

It remains to be seen why and how Iran plans to counter any formidable force that the United

States has.

People might be wondering how Iran could ever stand a chance against the American military,

but that might suggest Iran has some high-tech nuclear weaponry.

Only those who need to know, know.

Regardless, it has sparked a major response from President Trump and he did it publically

on Twitter.

"Addressing a gathering of Iranian diplomats, Rouhani said: "Mr Trump, don't play with

the lion's tail, this would only lead to regret," the state new agency IRNA reported.

"America should know that peace with Iran is the mother of all peace, and war with Iran

is the mother of all wars," Rouhani said, leaving open the possibility of peace between

the two countries, at odds since the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

"You are not in a position to incite the Iranian nation against Iran's security and

interests," Rouhani said, in an apparent reference to reported efforts by Washington

to destabilise Iran's Islamic government.

In Washington, US officials familiar with the matter told Reuters that the Trump administration

had launched an offensive of speeches and online communications meant to foment unrest

and help pressure Iran to end its nuclear programme and its support of militant groups.

Current and former US officials said the campaign painted Iranian leaders in a harsh light,

at times using information that is exaggerated or contradicts other official pronouncements,

including comments by previous administrations.

Rouhani scoffed at Trump's threat to halt Iranian oil exports and said Iran has a dominant

position in the Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz, a major oil shipping waterway.

"Anyone who understands the rudiments of politics doesn't say 'we will stop Iran's

oil exports'… we have been the guarantor of the regional waterway's security throughout

history," Rouhani said, cited by the semi-official ISNA news agency.

Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Saturday backed Rouhani's suggestion

that Iran may block Gulf oil exports if its own exports are halted.

Rouhani's apparent threat earlier this month to disrupt oil shipments from neighbouring

countries came in reaction to efforts by Washington to force all countries to stop buying Iranian

oil."

Oil is a big-time business and anything that messes with oil for any country usually leads

to some sort of harsh negotiating and war talks.

All of that is nonsense because at the end of the day the oil tycoons are rich and the

customer is paying, which means there's plenty to go around for those in charge.

What would the big-time people do without their customers?

They wouldn't have anyone to buy the oil, which means any form of going to war is nothing

more than a potential loss of revenue for the people who run the oil in our world.

Was it daring for someone to lash out at America?

Absolutely.

Back when Barack Obama was president, that threat might have just been cowered too.

However, Trump doesn't like being talked to in a threatening way and he has no problem

using social media to voice his opinions.

Afterall, the guy is a major straight s*****r and says what he thinks and whatever he wants.

He's not going to let America be threatened by anyone and he wants America first.

That's part of the reason why millions of people voted for him.

Now we wait to see what Iran's response is.

Will they strike with words, force, or something else?

TRUMP WARNS IRAN NEVER TO THREATEN U.S. AGAIN - Duration: 11:32.

hi I'm Greg Gutfeld with Katie Pavlich of Juan Williams Jesse Watters and a

peanut shell is your bike helmet Dana Perino the five

last night President Trump tweeted a reminder to Iran not to mess with us

it was in all caps showing the world that he's not afraid to go all caps

what's next if you listen to the media it has to be war fact is trump was just

trump was just responding to the iranian president who warned us about a mother

of all wars remember the last guy who said that yet predictably the media

freaks out forgetting that whole North Korea thing which followed this same

pattern so forgive me if unlike CNN I'm not pulling my hair out so I'll take a

war of words over a War of worlds now the media claims this tweets a

distraction from last week's summit yet how did that summit hurt Trump for all

the media shaming he's at 45% approval that's as high as so far and we're

happier with the country's direction than any time in the last eight years

this confuses the media as they keep saying that Trump is the worst thing to

ever happen since the view maybe because they've cried wolf so many

times even Blitzer ignores it it's the gulf between what the media wants to

matter and what actually matters according to Gallup in terms of

importance to voters the Russia collusion story rated so small it could

barely be measured it's under 1% to Americans Jesse's new haircut mattered

more and it's not even a good haircut

anyway now the media will say that the tweet means we're all doomed not really

it's the mullahs who should be nervous meanwhile on CNN it's part 200 of the

collusion follies on MSNBC a prime-time end-of-the-world special on ABC deep

political analysis with joy NBC Lester Holt and on CBS some guy my

advice keep it here all right Dana we're seeing an evolution in tweeting all caps

thumbs up or thumbs down didn't start his all caps at the crescendo yes all

caps like he really means it yes one thing I thought was I thought back to

was in April of 2009 I think is when the Green Revolution happened in Iran that's

when the people rose up yeah it wanted help from the United States they did not

get it and so you know here we are in 2018 not

help could have definitely changed things but they needed more help yes of

those talks with Kim Jong right but I will say this to me I'm still struck by

the idea he is still among even though his numbers bumped up in the Wall Street

Journal poll to 45 percent is yeah that's still among the lowest of all

modern presidents in terms of approval and I think that when we think about

Helsinki and Putin it's because the Republican base is like a cult with

Donald Trump they just don't budge they don't care it

doesn't matter to them I was struck by though by the whole media see I see you

and Dana saying oh it's good we need to talk about Iran they're doing this and I

think to myself I think Donald Trump is out foxing everybody because what he's

doing is saying let's talk about NFL players we're talking about Iran let's

talk about let's talk about Iran let's talk about the Federal Reserve raising

interest rates let's talk about the the FBI ranked in the corner office let's

talk about tariffs on China let's talk about anybody nobody talks about that he

talked about that anyway I don't think he cares and but I also don't think he

thinks Helsinki was that big of a deal like most of America

Jesse most of America is more interested with your strange air cut you know my

mother told me to stop talking about my hair filming of your that insult Greg I

will say this though the same Democrats upset with Donald Trump for tweeting all

in caps sent Iran billions all in cash

and the cats it's like was a Teddy Roosevelt speak softly carry a big stick

he speaks loudly and carries a big stick and that's fine I think what he's trying

to do is say we're gonna respond when you're gonna talk trash he's an ultimate

trash talker and Iran is Putin's puppet yeah and he is rhetorically blasting

Iran and he's actually bombing their other puppets Syria so how is he in

cahoots with the Russians that you're grant makes no sense

yeah no so Joe Katie this has to do with Russia in a way I would add with Syria

it has to do with the Middle East as a whole it has to do with foreign policy

in Afghanistan and Afghanistan you know there is now this restructuring going on

of the Middle East when it comes to everybody essentially becoming allies

and a little bit of a way to go against Iran and

you look at the you know what is being reported as Juan just tried to distract

back to with all these other topics that we're not discussing right now there are

very serious things going on in Iran and although we've been focused on other

topics on the surface level with the media in the United States there are

very serious consequences to what could happen there

inflation is a hundred and fifty nine percent in that country a third of the

Iranian youth are unemployed and the Iranian regime now is facing the

consequences of using all the money they've been getting from the United

States from the Europeans and they're spending it on terrorism and the people

there have been protesting for years now because they know that and you look at

the speech the secretary Pompeo gave at the Reagan Library it is very clear that

they are not saying we want regime change but based on the language of

standing with the people talking about maybe putting more sanctions on

threatening back when Iran by the way threatens us first and dealing with the

problem that quite frankly President Obama did not handle very well I think

the venue of the speech was important to the regularity the Reagan life I'll be

there I mean yours won't be as impactful I think I change the world by the way

you know I have to point out that the Iranian guy also said the what's

possible is the mother of all peace do you think there was actually think that

there I absolutely believe that President Trump will say why don't we

just meet yeah okay and then imagine when when the Republicans lost their

minds was Obama's like maybe I should talk to them like don't you dare didn't

he try to meet him before already didn't that I think there's like letters yeah a

lot of letters that's that really there's um I want to play us sound on

tape from a network see this is CNN yeah they're still around they're hanging by

a thread though it's about they're there wagging the dog scenario that this is

actually a distraction roll it please I don't want to go full wag the dog but I

mean we know that the president's strategy it's a flag I mean here not

today the president's strategy he's employed it over and over we would be

foolish not to absorb it and recognize it he'd when he's embarrassed as he was

last week he always looks for a distraction

I don't buy this because he wasn't impaired

I mean Helsinki happened a week ago and he's been doubling down burnin up

another summit nope you should have done this last week if we really want to do

this it's also rich talking about wagging the dog with Democrats I think

it was Bill Clinton who bombed an aspirin factory during the Lewinsky

testimony so I think they know a little bit about wagging the dog oh so in other

words you're not denying that that's exactly what he's doing

no if he had wagged it it would have been a week ago I think that it all is

in the lead up to these sanctions that are going to go back into place on

August 6 which is only like 12 days away I think that it's the lead-up to that so

that people aren't surprised by when the president says we're snapping back these

things like a big snap back to my mind is when he says on you know he was

walking back last at the end of last week oh you know I didn't mean to say

that the Russians weren't responsible interference Sunday night he says this

whole thing is a hoax the actual what he's saying when he says hoax Sara

Sanders said today what he means is that the the accusation of collusion so you

so would or wouldn't you know what I mean it's always like something but he

just keeps shifting it and for some reason it satisfies the GOP House and

the Senate they're so afraid of the Republicans who March and locks the

Trump that they are biting their tongues but then you see people come on Russia

oh they do big toe it's nothing compared to the cult of Obama let's raise the

meat for eight years the media did nothing but but Obama's bidding so

please I work at Fox News I know we weren't doing Obama's bid well look

going back to Dana's point which is the overall construct of how we're moving

forward on Iran we went toward the Iran deal President Trump got rid of it there

are going to be consequences moving forward how the administration deals

with the regime and they are obviously looking at the idea of Iran not being

able to sustain economically any kind of sanctions or further pressure the United

States puts on them because it will lead to regime change with the which the u.s.

is not

especially pushing for but based on the things that have been said the pressure

that's been put on Pompeii up calling out the leaders by name and saying that

they're hypocritical holy men and tweeting and Farsi to the activists on

the ground there you know this is an overall strategy for the administration

it's not just a distraction from Russia because we've been dealing with this

even before Trump became president on the campaign trip is anybody like the

like the mullahs in Iran I mean the people I mean it out how much sway do

they have well I think it would look like with the military right they get

the goodies right and so if you're yeah it's just a typical dictatorial regime

but I think the other thing that we forget is that in Afghanistan and in

Iraq in particular rock is actually doing much better from a long governance

standpoint but Iran is problems causing additional problems and they're moving

into Afghanistan and I think you forget though that there's a counter to the US

sanctions I think he has sanctions kitty are gonna have some pain caused some

pain for the Iranians but don't forget the other parties in what was a

six-party agreement on the Iranian deal are still in it still doing it cropping

up terrorism not arguing that point with you I would agree that they are

terrorists but I would say this that are you a money by the United States acting

unilaterally we are becoming more isolated and weaker on the world stage

we should have our allies with us going against the Iranians we shouldn't be

separated out so that we can be identified by the mullahs as just the

big bad Americans who think they're going to run the world okay so do you

think the president's tweet was strong or weak I think it was a distraction

from his trouble the with the with the Russians and Helsinki no wait we want to

we want to pull back yet we want to run the world oh no it was that possible

because we talked it's leading from behind that's what he's trying to do if

he was that subtle I would tip my cap to you'll be tipping your cap

all right the president looking to strip security clearances from top anti-trump

Obama Intel officials that's the latest next

Will Red States Respond to the Left's Progressive Movement? | NYT News - Duration: 4:09.

"They say that the movement won't work in Kansas.

They say, 'Don't go to Kansas,

they won't accept you there.

They won't share your values there,

that you won't have common ground with anyone.'

We all know that that is not true."

Welcome to Wichita, home of Koch Industries,

as in billionaire Republican megadonors

Charles and David Koch.

This district hasn't sent a Democrat to Congress

in over 20 years.

Trump won the general election in Kansas by a landslide.

But the left has an interesting story here.

Bernie Sanders got twice as many votes

as Hillary Clinton in the primary.

Sanders's message of universal health care

and affordable education resonates with Kansans.

"I'm a single father.

My occupation right now is construction.

I do a lot of remodeling.

I'm a huge supporter of Bernie.

And I think it's awesome that Alexandria, you know,

won the election there."

Thousands here recently lined up

to see rising Democratic star Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

and Senator Sanders.

The pair came to Kansas to rally

for progressive Democrat House candidates.

Leftists are hoping that Ocasio-Cortez's stunning win

in New York's 14th District can serve as a model

even in red states.

"The people support the ideas that James is campaigning on.

All right?

It's just a question of bringing them to the polls.

If James wins here,

this will be not only another

progressive member to the Congress,

this'll be a shot heard around — not just this country —

the world.

"I'm excited and humbled to be here."

"Happy people."

"Because I'm a teacher

and have concerns about funding,

not only in my classroom, but just across districts,

I felt it was important to come.

I work in a population that is very impoverished.

During the winter you would see our kids

coming to school in blankets."

"I'm so happy to introduce Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez."

"This is the defining moment,

not just for the state of Kansas,

but for this nation."

"The thing is is that there are a lot of working families here.

There's a lot of blue collar here.

And I think the reason that Trump won resoundingly here

was because of that."

"It was very empowering to hear her speak.

She comes from the Bronx.

I grew up in one of the poorest zip codes in Wichita,

so it's very moving to be here today

because it hits home."

"You all are very lucky, and very blessed

to have James Thompson as a candidate.

To have a man that so truly cares for the needs

of working-class people

and fights for the dignity of his neighbors.

You're very lucky."

"Because I know what it's like to struggle to make ends meet.

What it's like to have to choose between,

you know, paying for food for your kids or paying the rent."

It's a long shot for Thompson.

But even if he comes close,

it will be further proof of concept for progressives

who want to reimagine the Democratic Party

and take back power from Republicans.

"We must've gotten off at the wrong stop

because people told me that Kansas

was a Republican state.

Doesn't look like that today."
