The U.S. has no universal healthcare.

According to the Congressional Budget Office nearly 26 million Americans remain uninsured.

Across the rest of the world, healthcare is very different.

Some European countries have publicly funded healthcare like the U.K's National Health Service.

In Japan insurance is often provided by the employer and medical fees are regulated.

In the U.S. it costs around $9,500 a year for healthcare.

17% of U.S. GDP is spent on both private and public healthcare.

More than any other developed country in the world.

Sweden spent just under 12%, while the U.K. is much lower at 9%.

However a mere 48% of that expenditure comes from the government.

While Sweden, Japan and the U.K. all spend more than 80%.

If the U.S. spends more of its GDP on healthcare, surely it should be better, right?

Well, according to data from the World Bank, the life expectancy of Americans has not improved

as much as those living in other developed nations.

With a life expectancy of 79.3 years, Americans live shorter lives than people in 30 other countries.

The number of hospital beds available is another way of measuring the capacity and quality

of resources a healthcare system is able to provide.

Once again, the U.S. fares poorly compared to other developed nations,

with just 2.83 hospital beds for every 1,000 people.

And one final damning statistic.

North Korea tells United States it WILL give up nukes - DAILY NEWS - Duration: 1:56.

North Korea tells United States it WILL give up nukes

NORTH Korea has told the United States it is prepared to give up its nuclear weapons

in a huge breakthrough.

The world was on the brink of nuclear war all last year as North Korean leader Kim Jong-un

repeatedly tested missiles while threatening the US with annihilation.

But in a massive change of heart, the regime has now said for the first time that it is

prepared to discuss the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula when Kim meets President

Donald Trump, a US official said tonight.

The US and North Korean officials have held secret contacts recently in which Pyongyang

directly delivered the message of its willingness to hold the summit.

Speaking on the condition of anonymity, the official said that until now, Washington had

been relying on South Korea's assurance of Kim's intentions.

Denuclearization of the Peninsula would mark a huge triumph for Trump, with him achieving

what numerous Presidents before him have failed to do.

As recently as last November, the two countries have been trading insults and threats, including

Trump warning the hermit state not to "test" him.

He tweeted at the time: "NoKo has interpreted America's past restraint as weakness.

"This would be a fatal miscalculation.

"Do not underestimate us.

AND DO NOT TRY US."

U.S., N. Korea in secret, direct talks ahead of summit: CNN - Duration: 1:54.

U.S. President Donald Trump says he's looking forward to the summit with North Korean leader

Kim Jong-un-- that's expected to happen in late May.

The two sides have reportedly been holding secret, direct talks on the details about

the summit.

Won Jung-hwan reports.

The United States and North Korea have reportedly been holding secret, direct talks ahead of

the proposed summit between President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

According to a report Saturday by CNN, intelligence officials from the two countries are communicating

through back channels to plan for the highly anticipated summit to be held in late May

or even June.

The New York Times first reported last month that the CIA was taking the lead in the preparations.

It said the CIA has spoken several times with the North Koreans and has even met with them

in a third country to decide on the summit's timing.

For the location of the summit, the North Koreans are pushing to hold it in their capital,

Pyongyang,… but the Mongolian capital, Ulaanbaatar, has also been mentioned as a possible venue.

Once a location is agreed,… the date can be finalized and the agenda discussed in greater

detail.

Though intelligence officials are already laying the groundwork,... the North Korean

regime has not yet publicly declared an invitation from Kim Jong-un to President Trump.

But according to a South Korean envoy last month, North Korea has acknowledged Trump's

acceptance and reaffirmed its willingness to discuss the denuclearization of the Korean

Peninsula.

In the meantime, Trump is staying in close touch with South Korea, as well as Japan,

China and Russia.

He's due to meet in two weeks with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe at his Mar-a-Lago

estate to discuss the North Korea summit.

Trump's Trade War Will Cost US 190,000 Jobs - Duration: 3:53.

According to the chief economist, chief economist analyst at Moody's, Donald Trump's trade war

that he has now started with China is going to cost the United States 190,000 jobs.

Most of those are going to be in the agricultural sector of the American workforce and here's

why.

China recently announced that they were going to increase the tariffs on US produce coming

into their country.

China is a big importer of US produce.

That happens to be a $14 billion a year industry for Middle America, the area where all those

farms are.

Now, if they're goods are going to be basically priced out of the market over in China because

of Donald Trump's trade wars, they're gong to lose billion upon billions of dollars.

Then what happens?

The companies lose the money.

They an no longer afford as many employees, so those employees get fired, get laid off.

Then, the businesses that depend on those employees who are now laid off going and spending

money at them, they lose money.

They lay off workers and so on and so forth as these ripple effects of job losses go throughout

the American economy.

One of the saddest parts of this story and yes it is the saddest part is that a lot of

these voted for Trump.

These are red staters.

They are the ones who according to every available report at this point are going to suffer disproportionate

losses compared to the rest of the population because of Donald Trump's trade wars.

They're the ones.

They put him in office and now he's screwing them over.

That is sad.

That's the livelihood of a lot of people.

Whether you're a Trump voter or a Hillary voter or a Jill Stein voter or Gary Johnson,

I guess, look, we don't want you to suffer.

We don't want you to be unemployed or be homeless or lose the thing that you've built your life

towards building.

I don't think anybody wishes that on anybody else.

It is sad for these people, but a lot of us did see it coming and we tried to warn them.

I hope that they go forth from this realizing that they got conned by this jackass who shouldn't

be running the federal government anyway and I hope that they learn something from it and

I hope they remember that next time they go to vote.

This is their livelihood and Donald Trump is playing a game with it because he thinks

he can outmaneuver China on this issue and that's never going to happen.

Republicans in Congress are too spineless to stand up to him on this.

Yeah.

They're going out and they're doing interviews and they're saying I don't agree with him

on it, but unfortunately my backbone was removed a few years ago so there's nothing I can do

to stand up to him about it.

That's a lie.

They could stand up to him.

They could pass legislation.

They could do a number of things to put the reigns on Donald Trump and stop him from destroying

the entire United States economy, but they won't do it because they're afraid he's going

to send out a nasty tweet about them.

That's what they're afraid of, folks.

They're not afraid of him coming after them and investigating them.

They're afraid of him tweeting about them.

They're going to let the entire economy, they're going to let 190,000 people lose their jobs

because they don't want Donald Trump to bully them on Twitter.

That's your American Republican Party.

France: Authorities reach out to US donors to help repair Notre-Dame cathedral - Duration: 1:34.

Having reached the grand old age of 855,

Paris' Notre-Dame is in need of some serious renovations.

Here, the cathedral roof shows the damage done by the passing of time.

"Sculptures like this one are in a state of disrepair.

This wearing away is the effect of pollution over time.

Now we see here more possible degradation when you tap there just below,

when we see this kind of thing we absolutely have to act on it."

The renovation work will cost nearly 60 million euros over 10 years.

The French government will finance the first 40.

To raise the remaining funds,

tourists visiting the site have had an idea.

"Maybe you should charge people to go in, a little bit of money,

you'll raise it very quickly.

"Yeah, because we were surprised!"

"Lot of people want to go."

"We were happy to pay!"

"Five euros?"

"If it's necessary money to support it,

yes, I would pay."

Payment on entrance is policy in many other countries,

including Spain and the UK.

Yet, the Cathedral rector says he does not want this,

and suggests a different approach.

"I can call on French patrons,

and also search for patrons in the United States

so I think it would be found.

The restoration work done so far has been possible with help from the United States.

"We have many American visitors,

and they always ask us if they can donate for the Cathedral renovations

so we created an organization for this purpose in the U.S.

A delegation left for the States on Sunday on a collection mission

with a second visit planned for October.

Syria conflict: Missile strike hits Syrian airfield, state media report - Duration: 2:36.

Now to Syria,... where local media reports this morning said missiles struck a military

airbase controlled by the Assad government.

It's not clear who launched the attack, but the United States says it did not.

Lee Jeong-yeon has the latest.

Syria's state media reported on Monday morning that loud explosions were heard at the T4

airbase in the city of Homs.

It said several people were dead or wounded and that 8 missiles were shot down.

The U.S. has denied its involvement,... with some Syrian officials believing Israel could

actually be behind the attack.

This comes not long after U.S. President Donald Trump condemned an alleged chemical attack

in the rebel-held territory of Douma.

In a series of tweets on Sunday, President Trump labeled Assad an "animal," adding there

would be a "big price to pay" for resorting to outlawed weapons of mass destruction.

According to the White House, Trump had a phone call with French President Emmanuel

Macron on Sunday, and the two leaders agreed to coordinate a "strong, joint response" to

the alleged chemical attacks.

About a year ago, U.S. President Trump ordered dozens of cruise missiles to be fired at a

Syrian air base after declaring the Syrian President had used a banned gas on civilians.

In regards to the latest incident, a senior White House official said President Trump

"wouldn't take anything off the table" when asked if another U.S. missile strike was possible.

Aid groups claim at least 48 people were killed Saturday in the town of Douma by what they

described as poison gas.

Douma is the last rebel bastion in the Eastern Ghouta region, which has mostly been overtaken

by Syrian forces.

Trump's hardline stance against Assad is nothing new, but what may be a surprise to many is

his rare personal criticism of Russian President Vladimir Putin for supporting the Damascus

government Both the Syrian and Russian governments have

denied launching any chemical attack, calling the reports fake.

Iran, another ally of Damascus, also defended the Syrian regime.

Russia's foreign ministry said the reports had been fabricated to create a pretext for

a possible military intervention in Syria.

Moscow's defense of Damascus comes amid widespread accusations from the West that the Kremlin

was behind a nerve agent attack in England.

Meanwhile, the UN Security Council will meet twice on Monday to debate the suspected attack

....after nine of its 15 members called for an emergency meeting.

Olavo de Carvalho -United States are not the new world order - Duration: 2:19.

That currently has many people, the whistleblower of globalist schemes

That does the following, that concentrates the attacks only in the American groups

And does not show the connections with people in China and Russia

So from the impression, thus, that it is an American project to dominate the world

When it is not, it is a globalist project to dominate in the first place America

If you want proof of that, you get these people globalists, Rockefeller, George Soros, etc.

They only support the left within the United States, my God in heaven!

are they chasing the team of Tim party, are they that made the biggest campaign against the Tim party

Although the campaign does not work,That's what I always say,Exists secret power but it is not so secret and powerful thus

It's just a bunch of idiot rich people, which thinks it has the solution to all the problems of humanity

and wants to force everyone to be like them

Sometimes they can sometimes not

You see for example that campaign that they did, population control

started in the years 50 or 60,a monstrous campaign to reduce the population in the Third world

the campaign just worked only in Europe

the third world population has increased, from Europe decreased, and the third world has invaded Europe.

This is an error of calculation of these sons of bitches

and still thinking they are the gentlemen, intellectuals know everything

they know nothing, they know nothing.

Unfortunately life will not give me chance to confront these people, right

And challenge them, evidence what are you talking about?

I come here with a list of 50 failures that you did, and exhibit that you don't know a damn thing

George Soros,I personally expresses him after a conference of OIA, I went there

When the Conference ended, I made a point to talk to him

I´ll go to there expresses him

And I'm there talking about the Forum of São Paulo

and pretending that he knew what was the Forum of São Paulo, but talking about something totally extemporaneous.

This idiot he doesn't know what's going on in Latin America

He's there by manipulating the situation in Latin America, and he don't know what's going on there and he's pretending that knew

So People think: George Soros is an evil brain

He's an old fool, manipulated by intellectuals around
