Donald Trump has decided that he wants to move the United States just a few more inches

closer towards complete fascism, and he's going to be sending the National Guard to

defend the southern border between the United States and Mexico.

Now, the first thing we have to understand about this is this order that he's signing

is actually a request for the states along the border to send the National Guard there.

Trump has to get their permission under the way, the specific way that they're doing this

action, so if the governors of those states choose to not send the National Guard, they

will not have National Guards, but so far it appears that everybody is going to play

along with Donald Trump's little military games here and send their National Guard troops

down to the border.

When you think about the countries that put armed military guards along their borders,

are those countries that you'd want to go to?

Are those places where you would want to live?

Places like North Korea, you know?

They did it in Europe in many countries during World War II.

That is what Donald Trump is going here in the United States, and to be fair, George

W. Bush actually in 2006 sent about 6,000 National Guard troops along the Southern border.

Barack Obama sent about 1,200 during his time to stop drug smuggling, but this one with

Trump here is a little different because he's basing his decision here on a phony Fox News

report.

Fox News reported recently that there were caravans of illegal immigrants coming across

the border.

They were headed that way.

They had footage of these alleged caravans of illegal immigrants that were supposed to

be coming across the border.

It wasn't true.

It was completely fabricated.

Yet Donald Trump, who gets 100% of his information from Fox News, saw that, tweeted about it,

and now we have to send our National Guard, spend money that we don't have to protect

against people who aren't even coming here.

That is how insane this man and this plan truly are, but we're living in a military

state now, folks.

That is what Donald Trump is pushing us towards, because right now it's the Southern border;

what's going to be next?

It's never going to be enough for this guy.

He wants to make sure that this country is just as lily white as his voting base, and

he's going to do whatever it takes, spend however much money that we don't have, that

he has to, just to make sure that he gives that alt-right base a few crumbs here and

there saying, "Look what I'm doing" to keep out these non-white people from getting into

the United States, and again, it's all based on a Fox News lie.

US deploys strike force of warships in huge show of force to China - DAILY NEWS - Duration: 2:23.

US deploys strike force of warships in huge show of force to China

A US strike force has entered hotly disputed waters in a show of military might – just

days after China deployed a huge aircraft carrier.

The US contingent, led by Carrier Strike Group 9, arrived in the South China Sea today.

It is at the centre of a row between Washington and Beijing, with the Communist giant claiming

ownership of the waters despite a ruling by the UN.

US forces were conducting joint exercises with Japanese troops in the Western Pacific

and are now sailing home towards San Diego.

They include the aircraft carrier Roosevelt, the guided-missile cruiser USS Bunker Hill

and guided-missile destroyer USS Sampson, local media report.

The group is sailing within the "nine-dash line" that extends more than 1,200 miles

from the Chinese mainland into the South China sea – which the regime claims as its own.

Their arrival will send a strong signal to China as tensions escalate in the region.

The US State Department's Patrick Murphy said: "No one country should bully or coerce

their way to resolve (the dispute).

International law provides a blueprint."

China deployed its first aircraft carrier, the Liaoning, to the South China Sea last

month.

It was joined by dozens of other warships they took part in "combat drills".

Satellite images show the armada sailing in formation in a long two-by-two line through

the South China Sea.

Aircraft were also caught streaming overhead in what analysts believe was more propaganda

sent than navy exercise.

The flotilla was headed by submarines and at the heart was the 67,500 ton Liaoning – which

can carry up to 40 planes and helicopters.

Split Decision - Meet the Democrats vying to unseat U.S. Rep. Pete Sessions - Duration: 3:36.

I'm Colin Allred.

I'm running for Congress in Texas' 32nd Congressional district.

I'm Lillian Salerno, and I'm the Democratic candidate for the 32nd district in a runoff

on May 22nd.

Well, I think people know that I'm a local guy, and I was born and raised here in this district.

I grew up here in Dallas, and I'm a kid of eight brothers and sisters and was educated

here only because the community invested in me.

I went to public schools here, and I lived my version of the American Dream here.

I'm somebody who's stood up to power my entire career.

I became an NFL player.

I went to law school and became a civil rights attorney.

I've started a couple of companies.

I worked in the White House.

I worked in the Department of Justice.

I served the last five years as part of the Obama Administration.

I was an appointee in the Obama Administration.

I'm a single mom that knows what it's like to have to send her daughter to school with

strep throat because you couldn't arrange to get time off work.

I was raised here by a single mom.

I know what people are facing here.

I understand what people in this district have to go through.

It's not that it's gonna be a cake walk to beat Pete Sessions.

He's a formidable opponent.

We're never going to really outspend Pete Sessions.

I think what we can do is have a lot more excitement.

People want somebody who leads, and with me, they know that they're gonna have a fighter.

We're gonna be out there on the doors.

We're gonna be growing the pie and getting more people involved.

I think that's the way we win here in this district.

I think that's the way we can win across Texas.

We need different voices.

We've had voices that haven't represented half the population from Texas.

I think we need to do much better in every area to make sure that we have the diversity

of our country and diversity of our areas represented in our leaderships.

We haven't elected a new woman to Congress for 22 years.

We have three women out of a field of 38 that go to Congress to represent us.

I will also be the first African-American to represent this district if I'm elected.

I think that also matters.

If you're not at the meeting, you're gonna be on the menu, and women on the Texas, we

just haven't had our fair shot.

I think Pete Sessions, in many ways, has forgotten why he got into this.

He doesn't represent the district.

He didn't hold town halls.

He's been carrying water for a long time for special interests.

He's a bag boy for Paul Ryan.

I have a lot of policy issues with Pete Sessions, but my number one issue with him is the disconnection

he has from this district.

He's not willing to stand up against the payday lenders.

He's not willing to stand up against fossil fuel companies.

I think that's why he has to go.

Well, there's not a whole lot of overlap between an NFL player and a member of Congress, but

I know that in the NFL I worked with people from every single background.

I certainly am a Dallas Cowboys fan, and I understand football because I am a Texan.

We had to be more interested in what was good for the team than we were in what was good

for an individual person.

I think as a member of Congress, I'll take that experience as a football player and as

a teammate and as a captain of many of the teams that I've been on and put it to use.

I think my experience outweighs an NFL football player.

Korea could face challenges amid U.S.-China trade conflict - Duration: 2:33.

The intensifying trade spat between Washington and Beijing has countries around the world

on the edge of their seats.

Many are fearful of the repercussions, if the tit for tat between the two economic superpowers

escalates into a full-blown trade war.

Cha Sang-mi gauges the potential impact of such a scenario on the Korean economy.

The first volley came a month ago, on March 9th, when President Trump imposed steep tariffs

of 25 percent on Chinese steel and 10 percent on aluminum.

On March 22nd, Trump signed an executive memorandum proposing 60-billion-U.S.-dollars worth of

retaliatory tariffs against China for its alledged theft of American intellectual property.

In the first week of April, Beijing hit back,... imposing 25-percent duties on eight American

goods, including pork and recycled aluminum -- tariffs in total worth 3 billion dollars.

Just a day later, Trump unveiled a list of 13-hundred Chinese goods that would be subject

to 25-percent tariffs -- focused on the Chinese aerospace, tech and medical industries.

And the next day, Beijing responded with an equal 25-percent tariff on one-hundred-and-6

categories of American goods, including soybeans, cars and chemicals, worth 50-billion U.S.

dollars.

In the meantime, South Korea is worried about getting caught in the crossfire.

The Korea International Trade Association estimates that if the trade war expands to

include the European Union, global trade volume could fall by 6 percent.

That could mean a drop in exports for Korea of 6-point-4 percent,... a loss of nearly

3-hundred-and-70 billion dollars.

On the China side, Korea's exports already face a decline.

"Mainly this is because a lot of what Korea sells to China, its largest trading partner,

is actually intermediate parts that are used for products used in China and also for Chinese

exports to other countries, including the United States."

According to KITA, Korea's shipments of intermediate goods account for over 70 percent of all its

exports to China.

"There will be direct damage done to Korean companies based in China, as well as indirect

damage to Korean businesses that export to the U.S. through China."

While experts say the Korean government should keep its options open and look to other countries

for its exports, the hope is that tensions ease... and that things don't escalate to

a point that hurts global economic growth.

Cha Sang-mi, Arirang News.
